Searchable Blockchain-Based Healthcare Information Exchange System to Enhance Privacy Preserving and Data Usability

Ensuring the security and usability of electronic health records (EHRs) is important in health information exchange (HIE) systems that handle healthcare records. This study addressed the need to balance privacy preserving and data usability in blockchain-based HIE systems. We propose a searchable blockchain-based HIE system that enhances privacy preserving while improving data usability. The proposed methodology includes users collecting healthcare information (HI) from various Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) devices and compiling this information into EHR blocks for sharing on a blockchain network. This approach allows participants to search and utilize specific health data within the blockchain effectively. The results demonstrate that the proposed system mitigates the issues of traditional HIE systems by providing secure and user-friendly access to EHRs. The proposed searchable blockchain-based HIE system resolves the trade-off dilemma in HIE by achieving a balance between security and the data usability of EHRs.

Case studies about smart contracts in healthcare

The Internet of Things (IoT) such as devices and sensors are a fast growth reality which our bureaucratical and archaic institutional system is not yet ready to embrace its functionalities. In the health system, many developments are made, and smart devices are the key to preventing, studying, investigating, and solving a lot of diseases and improving our health system. But along with this, innovation is necessary for the hospitals, for example, to have a proper system that provides storage of health data information and respects the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with the use of smart contracts that secure the integrity and disclosure of the patient's data, since the majority of hospitals still use paper, physical records to store data. In this study, we will briefly analyse and explain three different suggested methods to deal with the challenges that Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) encounters. We will not choose which one is the best because of the different features and the countries they are proposed but will emphasize the benefits and challenges which one has.

Addressing the Challenges of Electronic Health Records Using Blockchain and IPFS

Electronic Health Records (EHR) are the healthcare sector's core digital strategy meant to improve the quality of care provided to patients. Despite the benefits afforded by this digital transformation initiative, adoption among healthcare organizations has been slower than desired. The sheer volume and sensitive nature of patient records compel these organizations to exercise a healthy amount of caution in implementing EHR. Cyberattacks have also increased the risks associated with non-optimal EHR implementations. An influx of high-profile data breaches has plagued the sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, which put the spotlight on EHR cybersecurity. One objective of this research project is to aid the acceleration of EHR adoption. Another objective is to ensure the robustness of the system to resist malicious attacks. For the former, a systematic review was used to unearth all the possible causes why the adoption of EHR has been anemic. In this paper, sixty-five existing proposed EHR solutions were analyzed and it was found that there are fourteen major challenges that need to be addressed to reduce friction and risk for health organizations. These were privacy, security, confidentiality, interoperability, access control, scalability, authentication, accessibility, availability, data storage, data ownership, data validity, data integrity, and ease of use. We propose EHRChain, a new framework that tackles all the listed challenges simultaneously to address the first objective while also being designed to achieve the second objective. It is enabled by dual-blockchains based on Hyperledger Sawtooth to allow patient data decentralization via a consortium blockchain and IPFS for distributed data storage.

Research on dynamic and secure storage of financial data based on cloud platform

Traditional financial data storage methods are prone to data leakage and narrow data coverage. Therefore, this paper proposes a dynamic and secure storage method of financial data based on cloud platform.In order to improve the ability of enterprise data management, the paper constructs a financial cloud computing platform, mining financial data by rough set theory, and analyzing the results of frequent pattern mining of financial data by fuzzy attribute characteristics.According to the granularity theory, the financial data is classified and processed, and the CSA cloud risk model is established to realize the dynamic and secure storage of financial data.The experimental results show that. The maximum data storage delay of this method is no more than 4.1 s, the maximum data leakage risk coefficient is no more than 0.5, the number of data types can reach 30, and the data storage coverage is improved.
