Abstract
Some half-sandwich compounds with a variety of ligands and metal centres have shown promising anticancer activity. Herein we report a series of reactions between the sulfonylthiourea ligands p-TolSO2NHC(S)NHPh, EtSO2NHC(S)NHPh and CH3SO2NHC(S)NHPh and [(η6-p-cymene)RuCl2]2, [(η6-arene)RuCl2(PR3)] (arene = benzene or p-cymene), [Cp*MCl2(PR3)] or [Cp*RhCl2]2 (M = Ir(III), Rh(III)), Cp* = η5-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, PR3 = triphenylphosphine (PPh3), tris(2-cyanoethyl)phosphine (tcep) and 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane (pta) and their corresponding piano stool complexes. Single crystal X-ray diffraction structure determinations indicated that the resulting linkage isomer of the complex, i.e., proximal (coordination via S,N(sulfonated) placing the sulfonyl group near the coordination sphere) or distal (coordination via S,N(non-sulfonated), placing the sulfonyl group away from the coordination sphere), is directly related to the steric bulk around the metal centre. Proximal to distal isomerisation of the complex [(η6-p-cymene)Ru{p-TolSO2NC(S)N(PPh3)}] (1aL1) was observed by 1H and 31P{1H} NMR spectroscopy. DFT calculations suggested this to be the result of the conversion from the initially formed kinetically favourable to the thermodynamically favourable isomer. Computational investigation of non-covalent interactions using the reduced density gradient also revealed a chalcogen bond present between the thiourea sulfur and sulfonyl oxygen atoms of complex 1aLa. The in vitro antiproliferative activity of several complexes was determined against human cancer cells, which revealed a correlation between potency and lipophilic properties of the ancillary ligands for a series of Ru(II) p-cymene complexes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Aim: To study and analyze the attitude of women of reproductive age to the integrated gynecological care provision by family physicians, their readiness to receive some gynecological services from family physicians, as well as to analyze the level of women's support and readiness for the integrated provision of gynecological care depending on age and level of education. PATIENTS AND METHODS Materials and Methods: For the survey, anonymous questionnaires containing questions on the attitude of women of reproductive age to the integrated provision of certain types of gynecological care by family physicians were developed. 181 women from the Kyiv region took part in the survey. RESULTS Results: Support of more than 80% of respondents regarding the integrated gynecological care provision by family physicians received the following questions: counseling on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) (92,3%); counseling on family planning and prevention of unwanted pregnancy (83,4%); counseling on the use of various methods of contraception (82,3%); examination and palpation of mammary glands (80,1%); referral of women to a higher level of obstetric and gynecological care (if necessary (86,2%). CONCLUSION Conclusions: The majority of respondents (67,4%) are ready or better ready than not ready to receive certain types of gynecological care services from family physicians. Almost the same percentage ratio (more than 60%) of women of each age group and all levels of education are ready or better ready than not ready to receive gynecological care services, which they supported, from family physicians.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Aim: To evaluate the cytotoxic activity of newly synthesized a series of novel HDAC inhibitors comprising sulfonamide as zinc binding group and Isatin derivatives as cap group joined by mono amide linker as required to act as HDAC inhibitors. PATIENTS AND METHODS Materials and Methods: The utilization of sulfonamide as zinc binding group joined by N-alkylation reaction with ethyl-bromo hexanoate as linker group that joined by amide reaction with Isatin derivatives as cap groups which known to possess antitumor activity in the designed of new histone deacetylase inhibitors and using the docking and MTT assay to evaluate the compounds. RESULTS Results: Four compounds have been synthesized and characterized successfully by ART-FTIR, NMR and ESI-Ms. the compounds were synthesized and characterized by successfully by ART-FTIR, NMR and ESI- Ms. Assessed for their cytotoxic activity against human colon adenocarcinoma MCF-7 (IC50, I=105.15, II=60.00, III=54.11, IV=56.57, vorinostat=28.41) and hepatoblastoma HepG2 (IC50, I=63.91, II=135.18, III=118.85, IV=51.46, vorinostat=37.50). Most of them exhibited potent HDAC inhibitory activity and significant cytotoxicity. CONCLUSION Conclusions: The synthesized compounds (I, II, III and IV) showed cytotoxicity toward MCF-7 and HepG2 cancer cell lines and their docking analysis provided a preliminary indication that they are viable [HDAC6] candidates.

Abstract
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) are enzymes pursued as drug targets in various cancers and several non-oncological conditions, such as inflammation and neurodegenerative disorders. In the past decade, HDAC inhibitors (HDACi) have emerged as relevant pharmaceuticals, with many efforts devoted to the development of new representatives. However, the growing safety concerns regarding the established hydroxamic acid-based HDAC inhibitors tend to drive current research more toward the design of inhibitors bearing alternative zinc-binding groups (ZBGs). This Perspective presents an overview of all non-hydroxamic acid ZBGs that have been incorporated into the clinically approved prototypical HDACi, suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (vorinostat). This provides the unique opportunity to compare the inhibition potential and biological effects of different ZBGs in a direct way, as the compounds selected for this Perspective differ only in their ZBG. To that end, different strategies used to select a ZBG, its properties, activity, and liabilities are discussed.

Abstract
In research, anticancer agents, such as thiourea derivative compounds, and metal complexes, such as those complexed with iron (III) metal, are often studied. The metal complexes are presumably more active than thiourea derivatives as free ligands; some negative effects may be reduced. The computational studies used in this study involved molecular docking with AutoDock and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations using Desmond to evaluate the stability of the interactions. The docking and MD analysis results showed that compounds 2 and 6 had stable interactions with NUDIX hydrolase type 5 (NUDT5)—one of the therapeutic targets for breast cancer—where they had the lowest root mean square deviation (RMSD) and root mean square fluctuation (RMSF) values compared to the other compounds. Together, these compounds are anti-breast cancer drug candidates.

Abstract
The interest in acyl thioureas has continually been escalating owing to their extensive applications in diverse fields, such as synthetic precursors of new heterocycles, pharmacological and materials science, and technology. These scaffolds exhibit a wide variety of biological activities such as antitumor, enzyme inhibitory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-malarial activities and find utilization as chemosensors, adhesives, flame retardants, thermal stabilizers, antioxidants, polymers and organocatalysts. In addition, the synthesis, and applications of coordination complexes of these ligands have also been overviewed. The current review is a continuation of our previous efforts in this area, focusing on the recent advancements during the period 2017 to present. This review encapsulates the recently designed acyl thioureas, and their crystal structures, metal complexes and various applications from 2017 to present, including pharmacological aspects, chemosensing and heterogenous catalysis.![]()

Abstract
The study investigates the ability of methanolic extract of Andrographis paniculata (MAP) to supplement polyvalent anti-snake venom (ASV) in inhibiting neurotoxic enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and ‘spreading factor’ hyaluronidase from Naja naja (N.N) venom. AChE and hyaluronidase activity were measured in 100 or 200 µg of crude venom, respectively, and designated as ‘control’. In Test Group I, enzyme assays were performed immediately after the addition of ASV/MAP/ASV + MAP to the venom. Inhibition of AChE by ASV (100–367 µg) was 12–17%, and of hyaluronidase (22–660 µg) was 33–41%. Under the same conditions, MAP (100–400 µg) inhibited AChE and hyaluronidase to the extent of 17–33% and 17–52%, respectively. When ASV (220 µg) and MAP (100–200 µg) were added together, AChE and hyaluronidase were inhibited to a greater extent from 39–63 to 36–44%, than when either of them was used alone. In Test Group 2, the venom was incubated with ASV/MAP/ASV + MAP for 10–30 min at 37 °C prior to the assay which enhanced AChE inhibition by 6%, 82% and 18% respectively, when compared to Test Group I. Though there was no change in inhibition of hyaluronidase in the presence of ASV, MAP could further increase the extent of inhibition by 27% and ASV + MAP upto 4%. In Test Group III, venom and substrate were incubated for 90 min and hyaluronidase activity was measured after the addition of inhibitors. Here, ASV + MAP caused increased inhibition by 69% compared to ASV alone. The study confirms the ability of phytochemicals in MAP to contribute to a multipronged strategy by supplementing, thereby augmenting the efficacy of ASV.

Abstract
An attempt to synthesize thioparabanic acid as precursor to other fused heterocyclic compounds, by a microwave assisted multistep one-pot reaction yielded a co-crystal of N-carbamothioylacetamide (NCTA) and N,N'-thiocarbonyldiacetamide (NNTCA) which is being reported in this paper. The structure of N-carbamothioylacetamide and N,N'-thiocarbonyldiacetamide from the attempted synthesis of 1,3-diacetyl-2-thioxoimidazolidine-4,5-dione, C5H8N2O2S.C3H6N2OS, has triclinic (P-1) symmetry. It is of interest with respect to biological application. The structure displays inter- and intra-molecular hydrogen bonding through -C=O···H interactions. Similarly, -C=S···H hydrogen bonding interactions are present, providing additional intermolecular stability to the co-crystal. For application as a potential drug candidate, a density functional theory (DFT) simulation of the antioxidant activities of the co-crystal and its individual components (NCTA and NNTCA) has been performed. The computed redox potentials indicate that the study compounds show comparable antioxidant activities with ascorbic acid (AA) for a one electron transfer process. Meanwhile, for a two-electron process, AA showed significant antioxidant advantage over the titled compound.
