Abstract
Recent studies have found that receptor interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) can mediate CaMK Ⅱ phosphorylation and oxidation, open mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP), and induce myocardial necroptosis. The increased expression or phosphorylation of RIPK3 is one of the important markers of necroptosis; Inhibition of CaMK Ⅱ phosphorylation or oxidation significantly reduces RIPK3 mediated myocardial necroptosis; Studies have shown that necroptosis plays an important role in the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases; Using the selective inhibitor GSK '872 of RIPK3 can effectively inhibit the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases, and can reverse cardiovascular and cardiac dysfunction caused by overexpression of RIPK3. In this review, we provide a brief overview of the current knowledge on RIPK3 in mediating necroptosis, inflammatory response, and oxidative stress, and discussed the role of RIPK3 in cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, myocardial ischaemia, myocardial infarction, and heart failure.

Abstract
This study determined the global genetic diversity and transmission dynamics of enterovirus B83 (EV-B83) and proposed future disease surveillance directions. Blood samples were collected from a patient with viral myocarditis, and viral isolation was performed. The complete genome sequence of the viral isolate was obtained using Sanger sequencing. A dataset of 15 sequences (from three continents) that had sufficient time signals for Bayesian phylogenetic analysis was set up, and the genetic diversity and transmission dynamics of global EV-B83 were analyzed using bioinformatics methods, including evolutionary dynamics, recombination event analysis, and phylogeographic analysis. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of an EV-B83 strain (S17/YN/CHN/2004) isolated from a patient with acute viral myocarditis in Yunnan Province, China. All 15 EV-B83 strains clustered together in a phylogenetic tree, confirming the classification of these isolates as a single EV type, and the predicted time for the most recent common ancestor appeared in 1998. Recombinant signals were detected in the 5'-untranslated region and 2A-3D coding regions of the S17 genome. The phylogeographic analysis revealed multiple intercontinental transmission routes of EV-B83. This study indicates that EV-B83 is globally distributed. Our findings add to the publicly available EV-B83 genomic sequence data and deepen our understanding of EV-B83 epidemiology.

Abstract
Alkaloids are a diverse group of natural phytochemicals. These phytochemicals in plants provide them protection against pests, and herbivorous organisms and also control their development. Numerous of these alkaloids have a variety of biological effects, and some have even been developed into medications with different medicinal properties. This review aims to provide a broad overview of the numerous naturally occurring alkaloids (isolated from both terrestrial and aquatic species) along with synthetically produced alkaloid compounds having prominent antiviral properties. Previous reviews on this subject have focused on the biological actions of both natural and synthetic alkaloids, but they have not gone into comprehensive detail about their antiviral properties. We reviewed here several antiviral alkaloids that have been described in the literature in different investigational environments i.e. (in-vivo, in-ovo, in-vitro, and in-silico), and found that these alkaloid compounds have significant antiviral properties against several infectious viruses. These alkaloids repressed and targeted various important stages of viral infection at non-toxic doses while some of the alkaloids reported here also exhibited comparable inhibitory activities to commercially used drugs. Overall, these anti-viral effects of alkaloids point to a high degree of specificity, implying that they could serve as effective and safe antiviral medicines if further pursued in medicinal and pharmacological investigations.

Abstract
Programmed cell death (PCD), including necroptosis, has emerged as a significant pathway in cardiovascular diseases. The infection of viral myocarditis (VMC) could cause cardiomyocytes degeneration, necrosis, and immune-inflammatory myocardial response. In this review, we summarized and evaluated the available evidence on the pathogenesis, molecule mechanism, diagnosis, and potential treatment strategies of viral myocarditis, with a special focus on the novel mechanism of necroptosis for cardiomyocytes death. Studies have shown that tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) is an important cytokine involved in the activation of necroptosis; an elevated level of TNF-α is continually reported in patients suffering from VMC, implicating its involvement in the pathogenesis of VMC. It is of great interest to explore the clinical implication of TNF-α. We subsequently conducted a meta-analysis on the efficacy of serum TNF-α expression level and its diagnostic accuracy on acute viral myocarditis detection. Taken together, the review demonstrates a compelling role of necroptosis involved in the pathogenesis of VMC. Further, applying TNF-α as a serological marker for the diagnosis of VMC may be a useful strategy.
