Abstract
Background Duplication of the transverse colon is a rare gastrointestinal malformation. Its pathogenesis is still unclear, and it is extremely rare in adults. Patients often present with symptoms of tumor compression such as abdominal mass, abdominal pain, and constipation as the first manifestation. Methods and result A patient with a duplication of the transverse colon was admitted to the Department of General Surgery of our hospital. Laparoscopic exploration found a mass at the rear of the transverse colon near the splenic flexure, and the root was connected to the middle portion of the transverse colon. Conclusion Surgery is a radical treatment and reduces the possibility of perforation, bleeding, obstruction, and cancer.

Intussusception Caused by Cecal Duplication in an Adult: A Case Report. Case Rep Surg 2022; 2022:9520191. Abstract
Cecal duplication is a rare congenital malformation and majority of the cases are discovered in the first years of life. Ileocolic intussusception is also a rare situation encountered in adults. A 19-year-old female presented with acute abdominal pain and bowel occlusion in relation with an ileocecal intussusception. She underwent an emergent laparotomy and ileocecal resection. A cecal duplication cyst was found to be the cause of the intussusception. While duplications and intussusception are very rare situations encountered in the adult life, the presence of both at the same time remains frankly anecdotal. The present case demonstrates that intussusception may likely be involved with any cecal lesion, like duplication.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Intestinal intussusception caused by intestinal duplication and ectopic pancreas is extremely rare in the clinic and has not been reported previously.
CASE SUMMARY A 29-year-old man was admitted to the hospital for chronic abdominal pain and bloating. The preoperative diagnosis was intestinal obstruction and intussusception. Then, laparotomy, partial small intestinal resection and extraintestinal decompression were performed. Postoperative pathology confirmed intestinal duplication and ectopic pancreas. After surgery, the patient recovered well with no complications. No recurrence was observed after more than 5 mo of follow-up.
CONCLUSION We report a new case of a young male with intussusception caused by intestinal duplication and ectopic pancreas. Surgery is the main treatment for these conditions. This study aimed to raise awareness and provide information to improve the clinical management of this rare yet serious condition.

Abstract
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was thought to have respiratory symptoms as the main manifestation, but it has become clear that extrapulmonary symptoms such as gastrointestinal disorders also occur. There are several reports of intussusception associated with COVID-19 in children, but these are rare in adults. In this report, we present a case of cystic intestinal duplication that enlarged during the course of COVID-19 treatment and resulted in intussusception. Right hemicolectomy was performed for intussusception due to the cystic lesion. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first resected case of intussusception due to alimentary tract duplication after COVID-19 infection.

Abstract
Gastrointestinal duplications are extremely rare congenital abnormalities having definite difficulties to be diagnosed preoperatively. Most of them are presented at the oesophagus and ileum and only involve colon from 4% to 18%. We illustrate a case report of an 18-year-old female patient with transverse colon duplication. There were symptom manifestations such as chronic constipation with flatulence accompanied with abdominal pain. We demonstrate this case report due to non-specific clinical presentation and some difficulties to form preoperative diagnosis. The patient underwent surgery. Tubular transverse colon duplication communicated with normal bowel in the proximal part was revealed. We performed transverse colon resection with duplication. The postoperative period was uneventful.

Abstract
Background Intestinal duplication, a congenital malformation, is considered a rare condition, particularly in adults. Although it affects young children, a minority of patients remains asymptomatic until adulthood. Here, we describe a case of an intestinal duplication cyst that caused intussusception by a unique mechanism. Case presentation A 19-year-old man was admitted to our hospital for intermittent abdominal pain. Computed tomography revealed colonic intussusception induced by a nodular mass in the ileocecal region. Urgent ileocecal resection was performed because of the risk of colonic ischemia. The resected material comprised a stool-filled noncommunicating cyst that protruded into the enteric lumen at the ileocecal valve. Histological analyses revealed that the inner wall of the cyst was lined with colonic mucosa and that the muscle layer of the cyst was shared with that of the original enteric wall; furthermore, the cyst had a vestige of an opening site in the wall. We concluded that the cyst was an intestinal duplication that poured stool into its lumen through the tiny orifice, thereby triggering intussusception. Conclusions The present case suggests that stool-pouring can cause intussusception into the space of an intestinal duplication lesion.

Abstract
A 61-year-old man attended an outpatient colorectal clinic for a chronic, non-specific abdominal pain, associated with rectal bleeding. He underwent a number of investigations including a CT pneumocolon, which revealed an incidental finding of 20 cm of additional sigmoid colon. This case is interesting because tubular sigmoid duplication is an extremely unusual condition, rarely diagnosed in adults; only a few cases have been reported of this condition in the adult population. Our team chose to treat this patient conservatively, in order to avoid putting the patient at risk of an unnecessary surgery.
