Abstract
The potential of copper(I)-zeolite catalysis was evaluated in the three-component KA2-coupling mediated synthesis of α-tertiary propargylamines. Our archetypal copper(I)-doped zeolite CuI-USY proved to be efficient under ligand- and solvent-free conditions at 80 °C. Usable up to four times, this catalytic material enables the coupling of diverse ketones, alkynes, and amines with a broad functional group tolerance. A decarboxylative and a desilylative version, respectively, involving an alkynoic acid and trimethylsilylacetylene as alkyne surrogates, was also set up to bypass selectivity issues and/or to access α-tertiary propargylamines that are unattainable under standard KA2 conditions. Interestingly, the KA2-type coupling reactions were successfully linked to other CuI-catalyzed reactions, thus resulting in sequential one-pot processes under full CuI-USY catalysis.

Abstract
In this Review, we consider all the publications since the beginning of the century that describe tandem reactions resulting in the formation of five-membered aromatic nitrogen heterocycles (thiazole, imidazole, indole, tetrazole, triazole, and isoxazole). The contents of this review are organized by taxonomy and type of tandem catalysis. It covers orthogonal, auto-, and assisted tandem catalysis, providing an overview of tandem reactions applied tonitrogen heterocycles reported in the literature up to March 2020. We believe that this compilation of data will provide a necessary starting reference to developthe applications of tandem catalysis in medicinal chemistry.

Abstract
Propargylamines are a versatile class of compounds which find broad application in many fields of chemistry. This review aims to describe the different strategies developed so far for the synthesis of propargylamines and their derivatives as well as to highlight their reactivity and use as building blocks in the synthesis of chemically relevant organic compounds. In the first part of the review, the different synthetic approaches to synthesize propargylamines, such as A3 couplings and C-H functionalization of alkynes, have been described and organized on the basis of the catalysts employed in the syntheses. Both racemic and enantioselective approaches have been reported. In the second part, an overview of the transformations of propargylamines into heterocyclic compounds such as pyrroles, pyridines, thiazoles, and oxazoles, as well as other relevant organic derivatives, is presented.
