Abstract
The main pathogen in the Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) culture, Streptococcus agalactiae, causes economic harm. Infected fish's immune systems worked to eliminate of the infection. This study demonstrated the effect of different bacterial concentrations on tilapia immunity and optimal vaccine concentration to induce immunity in Nile tilapia. The experiment was performed at 102, 104, 106, 108, and 1010 CFU/fish of S. agalactiae compared with the control (PBS) through intraperitoneal injection for 72 h. Fish that survived employed to gather blood, and immune responses were assessed through measures of the survival rate include blood smears, antibody titers, and immunoglobulin gene expression. The vaccine experiment investigated formalin-inactivated S. agalactiae vaccination and administered S. agalactiae injections for 14 days. The statistic revealed a significant difference (p < 0.05) in the 108 and 1010 CFU/fish injections with high survival rates (62.22% and 53.33%, respectively). Immunoglobulin gene expression was highly represented in the 1010 CFU/fish injection; antibody titers were significantly improved from the control group, and antibody levels were high in the 1010 CFU/fish injection. The analysis of blood cell types using the blood smear method revealed a progressive increase in leucocytes, particularly lymphocytes, neutrophils, and monocytes, in the treatment group compared to the control group. Moreover, the erythrocyte/leucocyte ratio decreased significantly in response to the high bacterial injection, indicating an increase in leucocytes. Conversely, the erythrocyte level stayed ed within at the 7.03-9.70 × 102 cell/ml and shown no significant difference (p > 0.05). The lymphocytes were almost two-fold in 1010 CFU/fish compared to 108 CFU/fish. As depicted in the lowest concentration of 106 CFU/fish, the vaccine performance had a high relative percent survival (RPS) at 86.67%. This research suggested that the tilapia infected with high S. agalactiae concentrations did not affect the mortality of the tilapia, and vaccine concentration was effective in 106 CFU/fish.

Abstract
Finfish and fish products are globally the most acknowledged health-promoting foods. The rising incidence of pathogenic and disease outbreaks have had a sizeable impact on aquaculture. Microbial supplementation of food in the form of probiotics, prebiotics, and their controlled release combinations (=co-encapsulations) as 'synbiotics' is noted for its significant biotherapeutic and health benefits. Supplementation of probiotic microbial feed additives in the fish diet claims to improve fish health by modulation of resident intestinal microbiota and by introducing healthy microbiota procured from an exogenous source, capable of combating pathogens, improving nutrient uptake, assimilation, growth as well as survival. Prebiotics are selectively digestible substrates beneficially used by host gut microbes to enhance probiotic effects. Formulating a fish diet with augmented probiotics and prebiotic microbial bio-supplements can ensure a sustainable alternative for establishing fish health in a naturally susceptible aquaculture scenario. Micro-encapsulation, co-encapsulation, and nano-encapsulation are novel strategies of biotechnical interventions in functional feeds for finfish. These aim to improve probiotic persistence, survivability, and efficacy in commercial formulations during probiotic transit through the host-gut environment. This review discusses the importance of co-treatment and encapsulation strategies for improving probiotic and prebiotic potential in aquafeed formulations, reliably improving finfish health and nutritional returns from aquaculture, and, consequently, for consumers.

Abstract
Tilapia production has significantly increased over the past few years due to the adoption of semi-intensive and intensive aquaculture technologies. However, these farming systems have subjected the fish to stressful conditions that suppress their immunity, hence exposing them to various pathogens. The application of antibiotics and therapeutics to enhance disease resistance, survival, and growth performance in aquaculture has been recently banned due to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria that pose a serious threat to the environment and consumers of aquatic organisms. Hence, the need for an alternative approach based on sustainable farming practices is warranted. Probiotic, prebiotic, and synbiotic use in tilapia production is considered a viable, safe, and environmentally friendly alternative that enhances growth performance, feed utilization, immunity, disease resistance, and fish survival against pathogens and environmental stress. Their inclusion in fish diets and or rearing water improves the general wellbeing of fish. Hence, this review aims at presenting research findings from the use of probiotics, prebiotics, and synbiotics and their effect on survival, growth, growth performance, gut morphology, microbial abundance, enzyme production, immunity, and disease resistance in tilapia aquaculture, while highlighting several hematological, blood biochemical parameters, and omics techniques that have been used to assess fish health. Furthermore, gaps in existing knowledge are addressed and future research studies have been recommended.

Abstract
The role of mannanoligosaccharide (MOS) in reducing the adverse effects of chlorpyrifos (CPF) toxicity in tilapia was evaluated in the present study. Fish were allotted into four groups and fed the basal diet or MOS and exposed to CPF (control, CPF, MOS, and MOS/CPF) for 30 days. Fish fed MOS revealed higher growth and survival rates and lower FCR than CPF-intoxicated fish (P < 0.05). The Hb, PCV, RBCs, and WBCs variables were lowered by CPF toxicity and increased by MOS (P < 0.05). The values of total protein (sTP), albumin (ALB), globulin (GLB), lysozyme (LZM), and phagocytic activities (PA) decreased whereas, ALP, ALT, AST, urea, bilirubin (BIL), and creatinine (CR) were increased by CPF toxicity. However, dietary MOS increased the sTP, ALB, GLB, LZM, and PA and decreased the ALP, ALT, AST, BIL, and CR. The PA and phagocytic index displayed higher levels by MOS feeding than the other groups (P < 0.05). The lowest mRNA level of GPX1 (cellular GPX) gene was observed in fish of the CPF group, while the highest level was shown in the MOS/CPF group (P < 0.05). Fish in the control and CPF groups displayed downregulated CAT whereas the expression of GPX and CAT genes was higher in fish of the MOS/CPF group than fish in the MOS group (P < 0.05). MOS upregulated the expression of HSP70 gene with CPF toxicity. Fish of the CPF and MOS/CPF groups displayed upregulated CASP3, IFN-γ, and IL-8 genes. Fish of the CPF group exhibited the lowest IL-1β, while fish of the MOS/CPF group showed upregulated IL-1β. The intoxication with CPF induced histopathological inflammations in the gills, intestine, and liver tissues, while dietary MOS protected against inflammation. In summary, dietary MOS is recommended as an immunostimulant to counteract the inflammatory impacts of waterborne CPF toxicity in Nile tilapia.
