Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different resin-coating technique strategies and dual-cure resin luting materials on proximal marginal adaptation and the microtensile bond strengths (μTBSs) of CAD/CAM hybrid ceramic inlays. Extracted human molars were classified into four groups, depending on the coating technique: No coating (None), single coating (1-coating), double coating (2-coating), and flowable resin-coating (Combination). The inlays were bonded with one of the three materials: Panavia V5 (V5), Rely X Ultimate (RXU), and Calibra Ceram (CC). The differences with regard to adaptation were not significant. In the case of μTBS data for V5, no significant differences were observed, whereas for RXU, μTBS values for Combination statistically exceeded those for None and 1-coating. For CC, μTBS values for Combination statistically exceeded those for None, 1-coating, and 2-coating. The coating techniques did not influence the adaptation but influenced the bond strength, and Combination performed the best.

Abstract
Immediate dentin sealing (IDS) is a method of improving the bond strength of indirect dental restorative materials to dentin and belongs to the biomimetic protocols of contemporary dentistry. The purpose of this systematic review was to evaluate the effect of IDS on the bond strength of resin-based CAD/CAM materials to dentin. PubMed and MEDLINE, Scopus, and the Web of Science were searched by two individual researchers, namely for studies that have been published in English between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2023 in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. The inclusion criteria encompassed articles related to in vitro studies, measuring the bond strength through microtensile bond strength (μ-TBS), micro-shear bond strength (μ-SBS), tensile bond strength (TBS) or shear bond strength (SBS) tests after the use of the IDS technique. The included restorative materials comprised resin-based CAD/CAM materials bonded to dentin. A total of 1821 studies were identified, of which 7 met the inclusion criteria. A meta-analysis was not deemed appropriate due to the high level of diversity inthe publications and techniques. The use of IDS yielded higher bond strength outcomesin various experimental conditions and resin-based CAD/CAM materials. Overall, IDS in CAD/CAM restorations may contribute to better clinical outcomesand improved restoration longevity due to this property.

Abstract
Esthetic concerns frequently drive individuals to seek dental treatment, leading to a rising demand for minimally invasive and time-efficient procedures. The Minimal Intervention Dentistry (MID) concept, which employs dental adhesive and resin composites, offers an effective approach for enhancing esthetics while preserving natural tooth structure. This case report outlines the esthetic enhancement of a protruding maxillary right central incisor through a direct composite restoration approach, utilizing a composite injection technique with a digital workflow. A 42-year-old male patient presented with a discolored and protruding maxillary right central incisor. After declining orthodontic treatment due to time and cost constraints, the patient opted for an alternative approach. A digital wax-up was 3D printed to create a clear silicone index, enabling precise resin composite injection to achieve the desired esthetic outcome. After internal bleaching and minimal labial surface reduction, a flowable resin composite was applied freehand to the mesial-proximal surface using a curved plastic matrix manufactured universally. The composite injection technique was subsequently employed through the incisal opening of the clear silicone index to shape the labial surface and incisal edge. In order to address insufficient tooth reduction, an additional partial labial resin composite cutback was performed, ensuring minimal reduction while enhancing esthetics. This direct composite veneer restoration, combining conventional proximal surface creation with a composite injection technique utilizing a custom-made clear silicone index prepared via a digital workflow, emerged as a pragmatic solution in a case where orthodontic treatment was not preferred. Moreover, in situations of insufficient dentin preparation, additional cutback preparation and composite placement can enhance color matching with minimal reduction. The direct composite restoration, facilitated by the composite injection technique and digital workflow, effectively rectified the inclination of the protruding maxillary central incisor, highlighting the potential of this approach in addressing esthetic dental concerns. The research and clinical technique presented in this case report hold clinical importance by offering a minimally invasive and practical alternative to orthodontic treatment and conventional restorations for patients with esthetic concerns. The composite injection technique with a digital workflow preserves natural tooth structure, reduces chair time, and enhances esthetic outcomes. This approach is particularly relevant to esthetic dentistry as it addresses anterior dental malalignment and discolored teeth while prioritizing patient satisfaction and individualized care, aligning with the principles of pragmatic esthetics and MID. The potential for long-term durability and patient satisfaction makes it a valuable addition to esthetic dental practice.

Abstract
This study evaluated the bonding performance of coronal dentin disks, designed for biological restoration, and CAD/CAM resin composite disks when bonded to flat dentin surfaces using dual-cure resin cements, with and without a resin-coating (RC) technique. Three distinct groups were established within the non-RC group, each using one of the two types of resin cements in a self-adhesive mode: one-step self-etch adhesive (1-SEA) without light-cure, 1-SEA with light-cure, and a separate group using an alternate cement. Within the RC group, a subgroup was established for each cement. The microtensile bond strength (μTBS) of the disk-dentin beam was tested after 0 and 10,000 thermocycles in a 5°C/55°C. No significant μTBS difference was observed among the non-RC groups. However, when using RC, the μTBSs of coronal dentin disks significantly exceeded those of CAD/CAM resin composite disks. Thermocycle aging did not affect μTBS in any of the bonding methods, except in self-adhesive mode.

Abstract
The popular immediate dentin sealing (IDS) technique is used to improve the bond strength of indirect restorations. This systematic review assessed whether bond strength is affected by the type of aging conditions, bonding agents, flowable resin composites, impression materials, temporary materials, and/or resin cement used within the IDS procedure. A comprehensive database search of PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Ovid Medline, Web of Sciences, Cochrane Library, Dentistry & Oral Sciences Source, and ProQuest was carried out up to 30 January 2024 without publication year or language limitations. Only in vitro full-texts regarding the effect of IDS on bond strength were included, and the quality of their methods was assessed via a Risk of Bias (RoB) test. In total, 1023 pertinent studies were initially found, and 60 articles were selected for review after screening for the title, abstract, and full texts. IDS application improves the bond strength of indirect restorations to dentin and reduces the negative effects of temporary materials on the bond durability of final indirect restorations. Filled dentin bonding agents or combinations with flowable resin composite are preferred to protect the IDS layer from conditioning procedures.

Abstract
The continuous degradation of cultural heritage artifacts (due to different factors, including the rising air pollution, climate change or excessive biological activity, among others) requires the continuous development of protection strategies, technologies and materials. In this regard, polyelectrolytes have offered effective ways to fight against degradation but also to conserve the cultural heritage objects. In this review, we highlight the key developments in the creation and use of polyelectrolytes for the preservation, consolidation and cleaning of the cultural heritage artifacts (with particular focus on stone, metal and artifacts of organic nature, such as paper, leather, wood or textile). The state of the art in this area is presented, as well as future development perspectives.

Abstract
A review article has been conducted including the main research results and comments referring to flowable dental polymeric materials. To begin with, the synthesis and composition of this category of composites is discussed, revealing the major components of the commercial products in terms of chemistry and proportion. Later, the polymerization characteristics are unfolded regarding the reaction time and rate, volumetric shrinkage and depth of cure for both photocurable and self-curable composites. To continue, some perspectives of the pre-treatment or accompanying processes that a clinician may follow to enhance the materials' performance are described. Fluidity is certainly associated with the progress of polymerization and the in-depth conversion of monomers to a polymeric network. Last, the aspects of radiopacity and translucency are commented on, showing that all flowable polymeric composites satisfy the radiography rule, while the masking ability depends on the fillers' properties and specimen thickness. The reviewing article is addressed to all field scientists and practitioners dealing with flowable dental composites studies or applications.

Abstract
This study aimed to comprehensively evaluate the effect of dual-cured resin luting agents with different initiator systems on the color stability of glass ceramic restorations by simulating various clinical glass ceramic restorations. Three commonly used shades from each of the two dual-cured resin luting agents with an amine-initiation system or without it were studied. The individual specimens had different translucency and thickness and were artificially aged using a xenon light aging machine. The color was measured before and after aging using a digital spectrophotometer with the difference calculated and analyzed statistically. As results, the amine-free dual-cured resin luting agents were more color stable than those using amine-initiation systems for both uncovered and bonding groups. The translucency and thickness of the ceramic, and shade and type of the resin luting agent significantly affected the color stability of glass ceramic restorations.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The present study evaluated the influence of a flowable resin layer on bond strength between resin cement and a universal adhesive applied using an immediate dentin sealing (IDS) technique. METHODS AND MATERIALS Coronary portions of bovine teeth were randomly divided into six groups (n=15). In the IDS.U group, the exposed dentin was immediately sealed with the Single Bond Universal adhesive (3M ESPE) following the self-etching protocol. In the IDS.UF group, a layer of Filtek Z350 (3M ESPE) flow resin was applied over the universal adhesive. In the DDS (control) group, the dentin was kept "fresh" and delayed dentin sealing was performed. After 24 hours in distilled water at 37°C, dentin surfaces were treated with pumice, phosphoric acid, and the application of the universal adhesive in the IDS.U and IDS. UF groups. The DDS group was treated with pumice and the universal adhesive was applied. The samples received cylinders of resin cement Rely X Ultimate (3M ESPE) made with the aid of starch tubes of 0.96 mm in diameter and 2 mm in length. They were submitted to the microshear bond strength test (μSBS) at 0.5 mm/min, after 24 hours (T1) and 3 months (T2). The fracture areas were evaluated qualitatively using a DSM 300 microscope (KOZO) with 45× magnification and classified as: adhesive, cohesive in cement, cohesive in dentin, or mixed. Samples were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The data were compared statistically between groups using the Kruskal-Wallis test, and intra-groups using the Mann-Whitney test (α=0.05). RESULTS There were no significant differences between groups for the bond strength values (p>0.05). The IDS.UF group showed higher values at 3 months, when compared to the values of 24 hours (p<0.001). All groups showed a predominance of adhesive fracture (86.7% to 100%). SEM showed dentinal tubules exposed in the IDS.U and DDS groups; in the IDS.UF group, the tubules were completely sealed. CONCLUSIONS The flow resin can be used on the adhesive when using the IDS technique because it increased the bond strength values after 3 months and promoted effective sealing of the dentinal tubules.

Survival of Prosthodontic Restorations Luted with Resin-Based versus Composite-Based Cements: Retrospective Cohort Study. MATERIALS 2022; 15:ma15010312. Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate clinical performance, survival, and complications of indirect composite inlays, onlays, and overlays on posterior teeth. Digital records of 282 patients treated between 2014 and 2018 were accessed and analyzed retrospectively. The included patients received 469 composite restorations luted with seven different resin-based types of cement, i.e., Filtek Ultimate Flow, Enamel Plus, Relyx Ultimate, Harvard Premium Flow, Relyx Unicem, Filtek Bulk Fill Flowable, and Filtek Ultimate. The restorations had been clinically and radiographically evaluated annually. The mechanical and clinical complications, e.g., debonding, fracture, and secondary caries, were evaluated and recorded. The examined restorations exhibited a high survival rate (84.9%), and failure was found in only 71 cases. Fracture was the most common cause (n = 36), followed by prosthetic work release (n = 19) and secondary caries (n = 16). There was a statistically significant difference between failure and cement material (Sig. < 0.001); the composite-based cements (87.2%) had a high survival rate compared to the resin-based cement (72.7%). Similarly, the cements with high viscosity (90.2%) had significantly higher survival rates than the low-viscosity cements (78.9%). Moreover, onlays showed higher longevity compared to overlays (Sig. = 0.007), and patients aged under 55 years showed less complications (Sig. = 0.036). Indirect composite restoration was a successful solution to tooth structure loss. The material of the cementation is an important part of the success. Higher survival rate was found in our study when the fixation materials with high viscosity were used, thus suggesting using these materials with indirect restorations. Composite-based cements had significantly higher survival rate than resin-based cements.

Abstract
Objective This study comprehensively reviewed clinical trials that investigated the effect of immediate dentin sealing (IDS) technique on postoperative sensitivity (POS) and clinical performance of indirect restorations. Materials and methods The systematic review was conducted according to the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta‐analyses statement, and was guided by the PICOS strategy. Clinical trials in which adult patients received at least one indirect restoration cemented with IDS approach and one restoration cemented following the delayed dentin sealing (DDS) were considered. Results Following title screening and full‐text reading, four studies met the inclusion criteria and were included for qualitative synthesis, while two studies were selected for quantitative synthesis. According to Risk of bias‐2 tool, two studies were classified as “some concerns” for the outcome POS. No statistically significant differences were found between teeth restored with indirect restorations using the IDS and DDS approach for POS (p > 0.05), neither at the baseline (very low certainty of evidence according to GRADE) nor after 2 years of follow‐up (low certainty of evidence according to GRADE). Conclusion There is low‐certainty evidence that IDS does not reduce POS in teeth restored with indirect restorations. Clinical significance There is no clinical evidence to favor IDS over DDS when restoring teeth with indirect restorations.

Abstract
The resin-coating technique, in which exposed dentin surfaces are covered using a thin-film coating material, was approved in the Japanese public health insurance system in December 2019. The purpose of this study was to evaluate clinical cases treated using the resin-coating technique with Hybrid Coat II (HC II) after tooth preparation on vital teeth. A total of 134 cases from patients who visited nine dental clinics were examined from the clinical records. Clinical signs and symptoms of cases before, during, and after treatment and at the time of recall were evaluated. The resin-coating was applied as either a single application with HC II (86.6%) or a combined application of HC II and a flowable resin composite (13.4%). The success rate without any symptoms of sensivity to cold water was 92.5% (124 cases). The current results indicated that the resin-coating with HC II is a reliable treatment for the tooth preparation of vital teeth.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This in vitro study investigated the influence of resin coating on the bonding performance of self-adhesive resin cements in single-visit computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) resin restorations. MATERIALS AND METHOD CAD/CAM resin (1.5-mm thick) was mounted on 20 noncoated and 20 resin-coated human dentin surfaces using dual-cured self-adhesive resin cements (Panavia SA Cement Plus or Panavia SA Cement Universal, Kuraray Noritake Dental) in either self-curing or dual-curing mode. These specimens were sectioned into beam-shaped sticks and subjected to microtensile bond strength tests after 24 h of water storage. The obtained data were statistically analyzed with three-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and t tests (α = 0.05). RESULTS The three-way ANOVA results revealed the significant influence of resin coating, resin cement, and curing mode. Resin coating and light curing led to higher bond strengths in almost all groups. Resin-coated dentin with Panavia SA Cement Plus exhibited a mean bond strength greater than 35 MPa in both self-curing and dual-curing modes. CONCLUSIONS In single-visit CAD/CAM resin restorations, resin coating, resin cement selection, and curing mode influenced the bonding performance of self-adhesive resin cements. In addition, resin coating and light curing increased the bond strength of self-adhesive resin cements. Resin coating and light curing are encouraged for predictable bonding performance of dual-cured self-adhesive resin cements in single-visit CAD/CAM resin restorations.

Abstract
The purpose of this review was to assess the literature regarding the decontamination of resin cement before the luting procedure in order to provide clinicians with a comparative overview of decontamination effects. A total of 19 articles were selected for inclusion in this review. The results indicated that bonding effectiveness is reduced due to residual adhesion inhibitors such as saliva, blood, hemostatic agents, and temporary/provisional cement. Self-etching and self-adhesive systems tend to be more negatively affected by adhesion inhibitors than do etch and rinse systems. Cleaning with an ultrasonic scaler or rotating brush have demonstrated conflicting effects in several studies. Some studies have reported that phosphoric acid has negative effects and recommend mild acid for decontamination. The application of phosphoric acid followed by sodium hypochlorite has been shown to help avoid negative effects. Alumina blasting has been investigated as a mechanical cleaning method in a relatively large number of experiments, most of which have confirmed its effectiveness. An intraoral cleaner containing functional monomers that has become commercially available in recent years is a promising method in clinical practice because it can easily and effectively remove temporary adhesive material. In addition, adhesion inhibitors can be easily removed from resin-coated dentin surfaces.

Abstract
The application of resin adhesive to freshly cut dentin after teeth preparation, the so-called immediate dentin sealing (IDS) has been suggested as an alternative to the delayed dentin sealing (DDS), a technique in which resin adhesive is applied just before final bonding of indirect restorations. The aim of this review is to demonstrate the evidence of the claimed advantages made by the proponents of IDS technique. The results of this review revealed substantial in-vitro evidence supporting the IDS benefits including improved bond strength, reduced dentin permeability, improved restorations’ adaptation, and increased fracture strength of the restorations. Clinical studies have shown that IDS improves survival of ceramic laminate veneers bonded to prepared teeth with increased exposure of dentin. Moreover, it has been shown that IDS reduces post-cementation hypersensitivity in full coverage restorations, which is characterized by exposure of a large number of dentinal tubules. The selection of filled resin adhesive that is capable of producing thick adhesive layer appears to contribute to the success of the technique. Furthermore, careful management of the oxygen inhibition layer before conventional impression making and proper cleaning of the residual temporary cement used with provisional restorations appears to affect the outcome of the restorations.

Abstract
Purpose The immediate application of a dentin-bonding agent after tooth preparation and before impression-taking (immediate dentin sealing [IDS]) has been suggested to provide several advantages concerning bacterial microleakage, hypersensitivity, and bonding quality. We reviewed the literature and clarified certain aspects related to each step of IDS application. Materials and Methods The search strategy comprised an electronic research in MEDLINE, Cochrane, Ovid and Scopus for studies published from January 1990 to December 2020 regarding the IDS technique and including both in vitro and clinical studies. Results After exclusion of irrelevant or duplicate articles, 88 articles focusing on aspects of the IDS technique were assessed. IDS seems to be advantageous with regard to bond strength, gap formation, bacterial microleakage, and dentin hypersensitivity. However, issues arising from interaction with impression materials, the provisional phase, and conditioning methods before cementation require further investigation. Conclusion There are no documented reasons preventing clinicians applying IDS in their everyday practice. On the contrary, the presented technique seems to be beneficial in certain aspects regarding indirect restorations.

Abstract
This study aimed to assess the effects of a temporary sealing material and cleaning method of resin-coated dentin on the bond strength of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) inlay restorations. Resin-coated dentin surfaces were unsealed or temporarily sealed for 1 h or 1 week. For the temporarily sealed group, a hydraulic temporary sealing material was removed and further divided into four groups: without cleaning, cleaned with a rotational brush, a universal cleaner or an air-polishing device. Some specimens were investigated with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and the others were used for microtensile bond strength (MTBS) test. A sealing material could not be removed with a rotational brush, which resulted in pretest failures in all specimens after 1 h and which resulted in low MTBS after 1 week. An air-polishing device can clean resin-coated dentin temporarily sealed with a hydraulic temporary sealing material and resulted in the similar MTBS as in the unsealed group.

Abstract
This study evaluated the bonding effectiveness of a newly developed two-step hydrophobic bonding material. Three groups using different bonding systems were compared: BZF group, using the new bonding system (BZF-29; GC, Tokyo, Japan); GPB group, using a one-step bonding system (G-Premio Bond; GC); and SE2 group, using a two-step bonding system (CLEARFIL SE Bond 2; Kuraray Noritake Dental, Tokyo, Japan). Microtensile bond strength (µTBS) was measured after storage in water for 24 h, 3 months and 6 months (n=25/group). Fracture surfaces were observed under scanning electron microscopy. The BZF group showed significantly higher µTBS than the other groups (p<0.001). Dominant failure patterns were cohesive failure for the BZF group (48-84%), mixed failure for the SE2 group (48-60%) and interface failure between adhesive and resin composite for the GPB group (48-52%). The hydrophobicity of the BZF-29 bonding system improves the long-term bonding effectiveness between adhesive and resin composite.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of resin-coating using one-bottle adhesives on the bond strength of resin cements in single-visit and multiple-visit treatments. Three one-bottle adhesives were used for resin-coating and/or pre-treatment adhesives prior to cementation, in conjunction with resin cements from the same manufacturers: Clearfil Universal Bond Quick with Panavia V5 (UBQ/Pv5), Scotchbond Universal Adhesive with RelyX Ultimate (SBU/RxU), and Optibond All-in-one with NX3 Nexus (OP/NX3). Bovine dentin surfaces were left uncoated or resin-coated. After 1-h water storage (single-visit) or 1-week water storage with a non-eugenol temporary cement (multiple-visit), a CAD/CAM resin block was cemented to uncoated or resin-coated dentin surfaces. Microtensile bond strengths (µTBSs) were measured and statistically analyzed (α=0.05). Application of resin-coating improved µTBSs. The multiple-visit group exhibited lower values of µTBS than the single-visit group. Selection of the materials affected µTBSs. Resin-coating and single-visit treatment are desirable for CAD/CAM resin composite restorations.

Abstract
This study evaluated the effect of temporary sealing materials and cleaning protocols on the bond strength of resin cement applied to dentin using resin-coating technique. Scotchbond Universal Adhesive and Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable were applied to bovine dentin. Forty-five specimens were divided into the following three groups according to the temporary sealing materials: Cav-: CAVITON EX, Vas-: COCOA BUTTER and FIT SEAL, and Sep-: Washable SEP and FIT SEAL. Each material was placed on resin-coated dentin. After 1-week water storage, one of the following three cleaning protocols was performed: -WA: washed with water, -BR: brushed with PRESSAGE, and -AF: cleaned with AIR-FLOW. Microtensile bond strength test and EDS analysis were conducted. Irrespective of the cleaning protocol used, Washable SEP demonstrated less residual debris on resin-coated dentin, resulting in high bond strength. Regardless of the temporary sealing material applied, AIR-FLOW demonstrated less residual debris, resulting in high bond strength.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Immediate dentin sealing implies applying an adhesive system to dentin directly after tooth preparation, before impression. The technique is universal (inlays, onlays, veneers, crowns) and well documented clinically and experimentally. Different types of dentin bonding agents (DBAs) are available on the market. Major differences lie in the thickness of the hybrid layer and overlaying adhesive resin (filled vs. unfilled/lightly filled adhesives). OBJECTIVE The objective of this work is to provide precise clinical instructions and present new experimental data about the bond strength of five DBAs (Optibond FL, Scotchbond MP, Single Bond Plus, Clearfil SE Bond, and Scotchbond Universal) used conventionally (dentin sealed at the time of restoration delivery) or with immediate dentin sealing, as well as with an additional flowable resin coating. METHODS Seventy-five human molars were selected, restored/tested according the microtensile bond strength method. Fifteen groups (n=5) were obtained from the combination of the five DBAs and three application modes: delayed dentin sealing, immediate dentin sealing and immediate dentin sealing with flowable resin coating. RESULTS It appears that immediate dentin sealing was confirmed to significantly improve the bond strength of all tested adhesives. The use of a flowable resin coating reinforcement after immediate dentin sealing increased the microtensile bond strength of all unfilled/lightly filled adhesives (from 233% of increase for ScotchBond MP, up to 560% for Clearfil SE Bond) and maintained the performance of the 3-step golden standard adhesive. Optibond FL used with (52.51 MPa) or without (54.75 MPa) additional flowable resin coating and Clearfil SE Bond (45.64 MPa) used with flowable resin coating provided the best results. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE The original immediate dentin sealing (IDS) technique implies the use of a filled DBA. With unfilled/lightly filled adhesives, it is suggested to reinforce IDS with an additional flowable resin coating. This seems especially paramount to the performance of simplified adhesive systems to protect the thin bonding interface from oxygen inhibition and preserve IDS layer during predelivery cleaning of the preparation. The clinical reinforcement of unfilled/lightly filled IDS with flowable resin composite is encouraged for more predictable bonding.

Abstract
This study assessed the effect of the resin-coating technique on the bond strength and internal adaptation of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM)-fabricated inlays. Seventy-two mesio-occlusal-distal (MOD) cavities were prepared and distributed into 3 groups according to the resin-coating technique utilized: uncoated group, G-Premio Bond (1-step) group, and Clearfil SE Bond 2+Clearfil Majesty ES Flow (2-step+Flow) group. The MOD inlays were fabricated and cemented with RelyX Ultimate (RXU), G-CEM LinkForce (LinkForce), or Panavia V5 (PV5). After 5,000 thermal cycles, each specimen was sectioned and subjected to microtensile bond strength (MTBS) testing and an internal adaptation evaluation. For the uncoated group, RXU exhibited higher MTBS than LinkForce and PV5 (p<0.05). The MTBS of all 1-step and 2-step+Flow groups was greater than 30 MPa. Resin coating did not influence the MTBS of RXU, whereas resin coating increased the MTBS of LinkForce and PV5. More than 95% gap-free margins were found in all groups.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate combinations of resin coating materials with a dual-cure resin cement for indirect restorations by evaluating microtensile bond strengths (μTBS). Dentin surfaces of human molars were bonded with either a direct or an indirect resin composite with/without the resin coating technique. For the resin coating material, Clearfil SE Bond 2 and either one of Clearfil Protect Liner F, Clearfil Majesty LV, Panavia V5 or an experimental light-cure coating material were used. For the dual-cure resin cement, either Panavia V5 or Panavia F2.0 were used with Panavia V5 Tooth Primer or ED Primer II. Resin coating does not always contribute to the enhancement of μTBS. The highest μTBS was obtained with the resin coating combination of Clearfil SE Bond 2 and Panavia V5, and cementation with Panavia F2.0, which was identical to that of the direct resin composite bonded with Clearfil SE Bond 2.

Abstract
The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of silane coupling treatment and airborne-particle abrasion (APA) on shear bond strength (SBS) between photo-cured bulk-fill flowable composite resin and 12% silver-palladium-copper-gold (Ag-Pd-CuAu) alloy using self-adhesive resin cement. The six experimental groups were compared using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey Kramer's post-hoc test to compare SBS values among the six groups at a 95% confidence level. The SBS of APA groups was significantly higher than non-APA groups. The SBS of the specimens with silane coupling treatment increased slightly compared with specimens without silane coupling treatment. The combination of resin coating with bulk-fill resin and self-adhesive resin cement could be clinically useful when restoring a cavity with a noble metal.

Abstract
The effects of immediate dentin sealing (IDS) applications on the bonding of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) ceramic onlay restorations after cyclic loading were examined. Standardized mesial-distal-occlusal-palatal cavities in 32 extracted human molars were prepared. The cavities were divided into four groups: those receiving thin-layered (T), slope-shaped (S), and base-shaped (B) sealing, and the non-sealing group (N) as a control. The intra-cavity dentin walls of the T, S, and B groups were sealed with an all-in-one adhesive and a flowable composite. All cavities were scanned; hence, CAD/CAM onlays were fabricated using ceramic blocks and bonded with a resin cement system. Cyclic loading was applied and the microtensile bond strength (μ-TBS) was measured. It was found that IDS application improved not only the μ-TBS, but also the bonding reliability and durability of the CAD/CAM restoration. In particular, the S restoration exhibited the highest-performance as regards both robust bond strength and stable bonding.
