Abstract
Cardiac myxoma are the most common primary tumor of the heart in adults. In approximately 2-5%, glandular differentiation occurs within these tumors. In the presence of glandular features attention must be taken to exclude and prevent a misdiagnosis of cardiac metastases of adenocarcinoma. Nevertheless, the localization in the left atrium, the solitary disposition of the cardiac mass, the histological features and the immunohistochemistry performed, argued against the possibility of a metastatic nature of the tumor. We report the case of an 80-year-old woman, with a prior medical history of breast cancer, that underwent surgery for a cardiac myxoma that histologically showed glandular features. Herein, we highlight the importance of a careful diagnosis of this entity, as it can be easily confused for a metastasis, especially in patients with a history of malignancy.

Abstract
Cardiac myxomas are the most common primary cardiac neoplasms, with only a small percentage being found in the left ventricle. Herein, we describe a 25-year-old male who presented with a complaint of chest pain for almost three months and was found to have a 2x2 cm encapsulated tumor attached by a 2-3 mm stalk to the mid-septum, 5 cm below the aortic annulus, via echocardiography. Additionally, a chest CT angiography was performed and revealed a small defect in the left ventricle with a low attenuation density originating from the septum. The tumor was later managed surgically with a median sternotomy approach, and left ventricular myxoma was confirmed histopathologically. Even though cardiac myxomas are incredibly uncommon, they are usually located in the left and right atria and are very unlikely to present in the left ventricle. This incident highlights the importance of taking cardiac myxoma into account as a potential differential diagnosis in cases of chest pain to prevent any further complications.

Abstract
Here, we report an unusual case of left atrial myxoma presented with morphology of cavernous hemangioma supplied by the right coronary artery. Surgical resection of the left atrium myxoma was performed, and the patient experienced an uneventful recovery during hospitalization.

Abstract
This scoping review aims to explore the relationship between cardiac myxomas (CMs) and paraneoplastic syndromes (PS). CMs are the most common tumors in the heart, with the majority located in the left atrium, and are often associated with a triad of obstructive, embolic, and constitutional symptoms. However, they can also present with unrelated symptoms that are part of a PS. This study performed a thorough literature search of 11 databases and included 12 papers in the final review. All of the patients were diagnosed with atrial myxoma, which initially presented as a PS. Surgery was the curative measure in all cases and resulted in remission in every case, with patients reporting resolution of symptoms at follow-up. The majority of patients in the study were female, with comorbid rheumatologic conditions often present. This study highlights the heterogeneity of presentations of CMs and their associated PS.

Clinical Characteristics and Surgical Outcomes of Right Heart Myxoma and Its Comparison with Left Heart Myxoma: A Single-Center Retrospective Study. Anatol J Cardiol 2023; 27:146-152. Abstract
BACKGROUND Cardiac myxomas are commonly located in the left atrium but rarely affect the right side of the heart. We retrospectively analyzed 28 patients receiving surgical treatment for right heart myxomas at our center and aimed to summarize the clinical features and surgical outcomes of right heart myxomas. METHODS Between May 2001 and June 2022, 244 patients with sporadic cardiac myxomas underwent complete surgical resection. Twenty-eight patients (28/244, 11.48%) were right heart myxomas. Among the 28 right heart myxoma cases, 25 underwent median sternotomy and 3 underwent robotic or total thoracoscopic procedures. The clinical features, operative information, and follow-up data of right heart myxoma were comprehensively reviewed, and clinical characteristics between right heart myxoma and left heart myxoma were also compared. RESULTS A significant difference was noted in sex between right heart myxoma and left heart myxoma (P <.05). Right heart myxoma had a higher asymptomatic rate (17.86% vs. 3.70%, P =.007) and a lower embolization rate (3.57% vs. 30.09%, P =.003) than left heart myxoma. The most common attachment site of right heart myxoma is the atrial septum. The mean operative duration and cardiopulmonary bypass time of right heart myxoma resection were 207.71 ± 53.40 minutes and 63.86 ± 29.73 minutes, respectively, with an in-hospital mortality rate of 3.57%. During the follow-up, 2 patients died of noncardiac causes. The overall 1-, 2-, and 5-year actuarial survival rates after right heart myxoma resection were 95.8%, 90.8%, and 84.7%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS As a rare cardiac tumor, the clinical characteristics of right heart myxoma are different from typical left heart myxoma in some aspects, such as sex, asymptomatic rate, and embolization rate. Prompt surgical resection of right heart myxoma gives excellent early and midterm results.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The most common neurological symptoms from cardiac myxoma-induced stroke include territories of middle cerebral arteries, rendering posterior stroke less common. Although transient global amnesia usually has a benign prognosis, amnesia in the setting of concerning cerebellar symptoms should raise the suspicion for posterior circulation involvement. These benign-appearing symptoms can be manifestations of an acute cerebrovascular accident (CVA). This unusual presentation can delay workup for underlying pathology. CASE REPORT A 67-year-old woman presented to the local emergency department after an episode of global amnesia that lasted about 15 minutes and was associated with some dizziness. The patient also reported a history of chronic disequilibrium. The head CT scan was negative for any acute findings. A follow-up MRI of the brain demonstrated acute small lacunar infarcts within the left cerebellum and right parietal lobe. An echocardiogram was performed due to concern for the cardioembolic source, which revealed left atrial myxoma. She was transferred to a tertiary center for immediate surgical intervention due to the high risk of embolization associated with the condition. The patient subsequently underwent successful surgical excision of the lesion. CONCLUSIONS Cardiac myxoma, although a rare cause of posterior stroke, needs prompt intervention as it is associated with a high risk of systemic embolization, including recurrent CVA. Transient global amnesia is an atypical presentation of cardiac myxoma that can easily be overlooked, delaying timely diagnosis and prompt intervention. Early recognition and surgical resection are crucial to prevent potentially life-threatening consequences.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Left cardiac myxoma (CM) is the most common benign tumor of primary cardiac tumors, but because of its special position caused by pathological physiology change, caused by the complications of the heavier, the surface is often accompanied by blood clots, once fall out, it causes peripheral vascular embolization, such as acute lower limb artery embolization, harmfulness is large, high morbidity, and easy to occur repeatedly.
CASE SUMMARY A 67-year-old male patient suddenly appeared numbness and weakness of the left lower limb and could not walk without obvious incentive. The patient was finally diagnosed as left CM complicated with acute lower limb arterial embolism after completing cardiac ultrasound, computer tomography angiography, and histopathological analysis, such as hematoxylin-eosin stain staining, immunohistochemistry and special staining including alcian blue staining and periodic acid schiff staining. Arterial thrombosis was removed successfully by femoral artery thrombectomy, postoperative numbness and weakness of the patient's left lower limb disappeared, skin temperature became warm, and dorsal foot artery pulsation was accessible. The patient was readmitted to the hospital 8 mo after discharge for left atrial mass resection, and was diagnosed as CM by postoperative histopathological examination.
CONCLUSION Although CM is rare, it may be considered as the source of embolism in patients with acute limb ischemia. Repeated loss of thrombus on the tumor and its surface may lead to repeated embolism of peripheral vessels. Cardiac ultrasound is helpful for early diagnosis. Here, we use this case report to highlight left CM as an important cause of acute limb ischemia and to report our experience in the diagnosis and treatment of lower limb arterial embolism caused by CM detachment.
