Non seminomatous mixed germ cell tumor of the testis with predominant component of somatic type malignancy (Rhabdomyosarcoma) - A rare occurrence

Diagnostic and Imaging Features of a Non-seminomatous Germ Cell Tumor of the Testis: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

Neoplasms involving the testes are uncommon. They account for up to 10% of all malignant diseases affecting the male genitourinary system and for around 2% of all malignant neoplasms in males. Testicular tumors are the third highest cause of mortality in males between the age of 20 and 40 years. We present a case of a young patient with right-sided scrotal swelling associated with pain. Ultrasonography, elastography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging features revealed non-seminomatous germ cell tumors of the testis. The patient underwent inguinal orchidectomy for the same and was sent for histopathological evaluation. The imaging diagnosis was consistent with the histopathological diagnosis. This case report adds to the knowledge of imaging features of testicular tumors and their identification based on imaging.

Testicular non-seminomatous mixed germ cell tumor with rhabdomyosarcoma and retroperitoneal metastatic mass: A case report

A very rare tumor is the combined Mixed Germ cell tumors (GCT) such as testicular non-seminomatouswith somatic malignancy (rhabdomyosarcoma). Here we present a case of a 19-year-old boy with non-seminomatous GCT combined with somatic malignancy (rhabdomyosarcoma) and retroperitoneal mass. The case was managed with radical orchidectomy on the affected side (left side). The patient then admitted for chemotherapy, but unfortunately, he was getting worse and died.

Adult testiculair rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare tumour arising in a teratoma with somatic type malignancy: A case report

We describe a case of a 40 year old male who presented with a painless testicular mass, suspected for a testicular tumor. On microscopic examination, diagnosis of a testicular rhabdomyosarcoma was made, which is rare in an adult population.
