Abstract
Fibroepithelial lesions (FELs) are among the most common breast masses encountered by breast radiologists and pathologists. They encompass a spectrum of benign and malignant lesions, including fibroadenomas (FAs) and phyllodes tumors (PTs). FAs are typically seen in young premenopausal women, with a peak incidence at 20-30 years of age, and have imaging features of oval circumscribed hypoechoic masses. Although some FA variants are especially sensitive to hormonal influences and can exhibit rapid growth (eg, juvenile FA and lactational adenomas), most simple FAs are slow growing and involute after menopause. PTs can be benign, borderline, or malignant and are more common in older women aged 40-50 years. PTs usually manifest as enlarging palpable masses and are associated with a larger size and sometimes with an irregular shape at imaging compared with FAs. Although FA and FA variants are typically managed conservatively unless large and symptomatic, PTs are surgically excised because of the risk of undersampling at percutaneous biopsy and the malignant potential of borderline and malignant PTs. As a result of the overlap in imaging and histologic appearances, FELs can present a diagnostic challenge for the radiologist and pathologist. Radiologists can facilitate accurate diagnosis by supplying adequate tissue sampling and including critical information for the pathologist at the time of biopsy. Understanding the spectrum of FELs can facilitate and guide appropriate radiologic-pathologic correlation and timely diagnosis and management of PTs. Published under a CC BY 4.0 license. Abstract
Lactating adenomas, though considered being benign, sometimes turn out to be malignant. We are hereby presenting two cases of lactating adenomas which turned out to be harboring infiltrating duct cell carcinoma (DCC). Two lactating women with mass in the breast were referred from surgery for fine-needle aspiration cytology and biopsy. On histopathology, it was found that both had infiltrating DCC (either as collision tumor or as a malignant transformation of lactating adenoma). These cases point toward some association between lactating adenoma and DCC, however, small it may be. Therefore, any mass lesion in the breast should be followed up under strict vigilance for an early diagnosis and management of this deadly disease. A large sample size and elaborate study are required to frame its prognostic relevance. Like estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor, prolactin and prolactin receptor expression can be exploited for developing newer receptor-targeted therapy.

Abstract
The breast experiences substantial changes in morphology and function during pregnancy and lactation which affects its imaging properties and may reduce the visibility of a concurrent pathological process. The high incidence of benign gestational-related entities may further add complexity to the clinical and radiological evaluation of the breast during the period. Consequently, pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC) is often a delayed diagnosis and carries a poor prognosis. This state-of-the-art pictorial review illustrates how despite currently being underutilized, technical advances and new clinical evidence support the use of unenhanced breast MRI during pregnancy and both unenhanced and dynamic-contrast enhanced (DCE) during lactation, to serve as effective supplementary modalities in the diagnostic work-up of PABC.

Abstract
Lactating adenosis is a benign breast neoplasm usually seen during pregnancy and lactation. We present a rare case of bilateral complex benign lactating adenosis in 19-year-old female patient presented with lactating adenosis that mimics cancer growth after giving birth. Histopathology confirmed diagnosis. Simple mastectomy was the treatment of choice.

Abstract
Lactating adenomas (LAs) are uncommon benign breast tumors that typically occur in the late pregnancy or lactation period and are among the most prevalent breast lesions during puerperium. They commonly present with a painless, rapidly growing, large, mobile breast lump either late in pregnancy or the postpartum period. Despite being a condition, a core biopsy is almost always required to exclude malignancy. We are presenting a case of a 34-year-old patient who was referred to our unit with a progressive increase in size of the pre-existing right breast lump that has been there before pregnancy. Due to the massive increase in size in a short period, the lump was removed shortly after delivery with an acceptable cosmetic outcome.

Abstract
Lactating adenomas are benign breast tumors, of which etiology, pathogenesis, and management are not yet fully evident in the literature. The primary goal of the radiological evaluation is to make the differential diagnosis with malignant conditions. We present a case of a 34-year-old pregnant woman referred to our service with a progressively increasing mass in the right breast, in whom the histopathology was consistent with a lactating adenoma.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Breast adenomas are rare benign tumors. The aim of this study was to describe the ultrasound findings of breast adenomas, including less common worrisome features that can mimic malignancy. METHODS From November 2014 to November 2019, we performed 1605 core needle biopsies guided by ultrasound in our department. In all, 229 corresponded to fibroadenomas and 12 to breast adenomas. RESULTS Breast adenomas represented 0.75% of all core needle biopsies; 50% (6 of 12) were tubular adenomas; 17% (2 of 12) were ductal adenomas; and 33% (4 of 12) were lactating adenomas. Tubular and lactating adenomas occurred in young women and ductal adenomas in postmenopausal women. Lactating adenomas occurred in pregnant or breastfeeding women and were larger than the other adenomas. Ultrasound showed a mass with an oval shape, a parallel orientation, circumscribed margins, and hypoechoic and homogeneous patterns in most cases. However, up to one-third of them presented with suspicious findings. CONCLUSIONS Breast adenomas are rare benign entities with no specific clinical and radiologic features. Sometimes, they appear as suspicious tumors on radiologic modalities, requiring a histopathologic assessment to rule out malignancy. Radiologists need to be familiar with this entity to determine concordance between imaging and the final pathologic analysis.

Abstract
During pregnancy and lactation, the breast undergoes unique changes that manifest as varied clinical and imaging findings. Understanding the expected physiologic changes of the breast as well as recognizing the best imaging modalities for a given clinical scenario can help the radiologist identify the abnormalities arising during this time. Discussion with the patient about the safety of breast imaging can reassure patients and improve management. This article reviews the physiologic changes of the breast during pregnancy and lactation; the safety and utility of various imaging modalities; upto-date consensus on screening guidelines; recommendations for diagnostic evaluation of breast pain, palpable abnormalities, and nipple discharge; and recommendations regarding advanced modalities such as breast MRI. In addition, the commonly encountered benign and malignant entities affecting these patients are discussed.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Lactating adenoma is a rare breast tumor which is commonly found in late pregnancy or lactation period. Despite its benign nature, lactating adenoma might develop aggressively and can be misdiagnosed as breast cancer. CASE PRESENTATION We report a case of a 25-year-old female presenting with two large, ulcerative and bleeding breast masses. An open biopsy demonstrating lactating adenoma was considered discordant and surgery was performed to confirm the diagnosis. CONCLUSION Careful clinical and histological evaluations are necessary to diagnose and manage lactating adenoma.
