Integrated bioinformatics analysis of retinal ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats with potential key genes

The tissue damage caused by transient ischemic injury is an essential component of the pathogenesis of retinal ischemia, which mainly hinges on the degree and duration of interruption of the blood supply and the subsequent damage caused by tissue reperfusion. Some research indicated that the retinal injury induced by ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) was related to reperfusion time.In this study, we screened the differentially expressed circRNAs, lncRNAs, and mRNAs between the control and model group and at different reperfusion time (24h, 72h, and 7d) with the aid of whole transcriptome sequencing technology, and the trend changes in time-varying mRNA, lncRNA, circRNA were obtained by chronological analysis. Then, candidate circRNAs, lncRNAs, and mRNAs were obtained as the intersection of differentially expression genes and trend change genes. Importance scores of the genes selected the key genes whose expression changed with the increase of reperfusion time. Also, the characteristic differentially expressed genes specific to the reperfusion time were analyzed, key genes specific to reperfusion time were selected to show the change in biological process with the increase of reperfusion time.As a result, 316 candidate mRNAs, 137 candidate lncRNAs, and 31 candidate circRNAs were obtained by the intersection of differentially expressed mRNAs, lncRNAs, and circRNAs with trend mRNAs, trend lncRNAs and trend circRNAs, 5 key genes (Cd74, RT1-Da, RT1-CE5, RT1-Bb, RT1-DOa) were selected by importance scores of the genes. The result of GSEA showed that key genes were found to play vital roles in antigen processing and presentation, regulation of the actin cytoskeleton, and the ribosome. A network included 4 key genes (Cd74, RT1-Da, RT1-Bb, RT1-DOa), 34 miRNAs and 48 lncRNAs, and 81 regulatory relationship axes, and a network included 4 key genes (Cd74, RT1-Da, RT1-Bb, RT1-DOa), 9 miRNAs and 3 circRNAs (circRNA_10572, circRNA_03219, circRNA_11359) and 12 regulatory relationship axes were constructed, the subcellular location, transcription factors, signaling network, targeted drugs and relationship to eye diseases of key genes were predicted. 1370 characteristic differentially expressed mRNAs (spec_24h mRNA), 558 characteristic differentially expressed mRNAs (spec_72h mRNA), and 92 characteristic differentially expressed mRNAs (spec_7d mRNA) were found, and their key genes and regulation networks were analyzed.In summary, we screened the differentially expressed circRNAs, lncRNAs, and mRNAs between the control and model groups and at different reperfusion time (24h, 72h, and 7d). 5 key genes, Cd74, RT1-Da, RT1-CE5, RT1-Bb, RT1-DOa, were selected. Key genes specific to reperfusion time were selected to show the change in biological process with the increased reperfusion time. These results provided theoretical support and a reference basis for the clinical treatment.

Targeting cell death pathways in intestinal ischemia-reperfusion injury: a comprehensive review

Intestinal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) is a multifaceted pathological process, and there is a lack of clear treatment for intestinal I/R injury. During intestinal I/R, oxidative stress and inflammation triggered by cells can trigger a variety of cell death mechanisms, including apoptosis, autophagy, pyroptosis, ferroptosis, and necrosis. These cell death processes can send a danger signal for the body to be damaged and prevent intestinal I/R injury. Therefore, identifying key regulatory molecules or markers of these cell death mechanisms when intestinal I/R injury occurs may provide valuable information for the treatment of intestinal I/R injury. This paper reviews the regulatory molecules and potential markers that may be involved in regulating cell death during intestinal I/R and elaborates on the cell death mechanism of intestinal I/R injury at the molecular level to provide a theoretical basis for discovering new molecules or markers regulating cell death during intestinal I/R injury and provides ideas for drug development for the treatment of intestinal I/R injury.

Ribonucleic Acid-Mediated Control of Protein Translation Under Stress

Significance: The need of cells to constantly respond to endogenous and exogenous stress has necessitated the evolution of pathways to counter the deleterious effects of stress and to restore cellular homeostasis. The inability to activate a timely and adequate response can lead to disease and is a hallmark of aging. Besides protein-coding genes, cells contain a plethora of noncoding regulatory elements that allow cells to respond rapidly and efficiently to external stimuli by activating highly specific and tightly controlled mechanisms. Many of these programs converge on the regulation of translation, one of the most energy-consuming processes in cells. Recent Advances: The noncoding dimension of translational regulation includes short and long noncoding ribonucleic acids (ncRNAs), as well as messenger RNA features, such as the sequence and modification status of the 5' and 3' untranslated regions (UTRs), that do not change the amino acid sequence of the produced protein. Critical Issues: In this review, we discuss the regulatory role of the nonprotein-coding components of translation under stress, particularly oxidative stress. We conclude that the regulation of translation through ncRNAs, UTRs, and nucleotide modifications is emerging as a critical component of the stress response. CircRNAs regulate the crosstalk between inflammation and tumorigenesis: The bilateral association and molecular mechanisms

Inflammation, a hallmark of cancer, has been associated with tumor progression, transition into malignant phenotype and efficacy of the chemotherapeutic agents in cancer. Chronic inflammation provides a favorable environment for tumorigenesis by inducing immunosuppression, whereas acute inflammation prompts tumor suppression by generating anti-tumor immune responses. Inflammatory factors derived from interstitial cells or tumor cells can stimulate cell proliferation and survival by modulating oncogenes and/or tumor suppressors. Recently, a new class of RNAs, i.e., circular RNAs (circRNAs), has been implicated in inflammatory diseases. Although there are reports on circRNAs imparting functions in inflammatory insults, whether these circularized transcripts hold the potential to regulate inflammation-induced cancer or tumor-related inflammation, and modulate the interactions between tumor microenvironment (TME) and the inflammatory stromal/immune cells, awaits further elucidation. Contextually, the current review describes the molecular association between inflammation and cancer, and spotlights the regulatory mechanisms by which circRNAs can moderate TME in response to inflammatory signals/triggers. We also present comprehensive information about the immune cell(s)-specific expression and functions of the circRNAs in TME, modulation of inflammatory signaling pathways to drive tumorigenesis, and their plausible roles in inflammasomes and tumor development. Moreover, the therapeutic potential of these circRNAs in harnessing inflammatory responses in cancer is also discussed.

Non-coding RNAs regulating mitochondrial function in cardiovascular diseases

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of disease-related death worldwide and a significant obstacle to improving patients' health and lives. Mitochondria are core organelles for the maintenance of myocardial tissue homeostasis, and their impairment and dysfunction are considered major contributors to the pathogenesis of various CVDs, such as hypertension, myocardial infarction, and heart failure. However, the exact roles of mitochondrial dysfunction involved in CVD pathogenesis remain not fully understood. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), particularly microRNAs, long non-coding RNAs, and circular RNAs, have been shown to be crucial regulators in the initiation and development of CVDs. They can participate in CVD progression by impacting mitochondria and regulating mitochondrial function-related genes and signaling pathways. Some ncRNAs also exhibit great potential as diagnostic and/or prognostic biomarkers as well as therapeutic targets for CVD patients. In this review, we mainly focus on the underlying mechanisms of ncRNAs involved in the regulation of mitochondrial functions and their role in CVD progression. We also highlight their clinical implications as biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis in CVD treatment. The information reviewed herein could be extremely beneficial to the development of ncRNA-based therapeutic strategies for CVD patients.

Bioinformatic Analysis of lncRNA Mediated CeRNA Network in Intestinal Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

INTRODUCTION

Recently, accumulating studies have reported the roles of competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) networks in ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury in several organs, including the liver, kidney, heart, brain, and intestine. However, the functions and mechanisms of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs)-which serve as ceRNA networks in intestinal I/R injury-remain elusive.

METHODS

RNA expression data were retrieved from the National Center for Biotechnology Information-Gene Expression Omnibus database. Differentially expressed microRNAs (miRNAs) (miDEGs) were explored between the sham and intestinal I/R injury samples. Next, targeted lncRNAs and messenger RNAs in the database were matched based on miDEGs. Hub ceRNA networks were constructed and visualized via Cytoscape. Intersection analysis was performed to screen mDEGs between two datasets. Finally, the vital nodes of the ceRNA networks were validated by quantitative PCR.

RESULTS

A total of 189 miDEGs were identified. Forty miRNAs were found to be associated with 240 predicted target genes from miRWalk 3.0. The ceRNA network was constructed with 10 miRNAs, including the 1700020114Rik/mmu-miR-7a-5p/Klf4 axis. Furthermore, the expression of lncRNA 1700020114Rik (P < 0.05) and messenger RNA Klf4 (P < 0.01) was markedly decreased in mouse models of intestinal I/R injury, whereas the expression level of mmu-miR-7a-5p was significantly increased (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONS

The results provide novel insights into the molecular mechanism of ceRNA networks in intestinal I/R injury and highlight the potential of the 170002700020114Rik/mmu-miR-7a-5p/Klf4 axis in the prevention and treatment of intestinal I/R injury.

Current Status and Prospects of Research on Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury and Ferroptosis

The pathogenesis of ischemia-reperfusion injury is not fully understood, most of the current clinical treatment methods mainly relieve symptoms, and cannot prevent fundamentally. The mechanism of Ferroptosis has been extensively studied in recent years, but primarily focused on its therapeutic effects on tumors. After careful comparison, it is easy to find that the symptoms of ischemia-reperfusion injury often accompany by increased lipid peroxidation and increased intracellular iron level are the same as the manifestations of iron-dependent non-apoptotic Ferroptosis. Based on this “coincidence”, we launched this survey. After reading a lot of literature, we found that Ferroptosis is the first step of ischemia-reperfusion injury, and cell necrosis and inflammation are the subsequent steps secondary to Ferroptosis. In this review, we have collected and sorted out the current knowledge about the role and targets of Ferroptosis in the process of ischemia-reperfusion injury. And future studies may be biased towards exploring the use of ferroptosis inhibitors in combination with other treatment options.

Comprehensive Analysis of circRNA-Associated-ceRNA Networks in Human Corneal Endothelial Dysfunction

PURPOSE

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a novel class of endogenous noncoding RNAs that regulate gene expression through the competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) mechanism. CircRNA-associated-ceRNA networks are closely related to oxidative stress-related diseases. Oxidative stress-induced dysfunction of the corneal endothelium (CE) is a major pathological feature in many corneal diseases. This study was aimed to analyze circRNA-associated-ceRNA networks in oxidative stress-induced CE dysfunction.

METHODS

A CE dysfunction model was established using human corneal endothelial cells (HCECs) treated with H2O2 at a concentration of 250 μM for 4 hours at 37°C. High-throughput sequencing was conducted to determine the expression profiles of circRNA, miRNA, and mRNA. Bioinformatic analyses, including Gene Ontology (GO) analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis, were conducted to identify the potential biological modules and pathologic pathways of dysregulated circRNAs. CircRNA-associated-ceRNA networks were established based on the data of sequencing and bioinformatic analyses.

RESULTS

We obtained 108 differentially expressed circRNAs, including 77 upregulated and 31 downregulated circRNAs. GO analysis suggested that dysregulated circRNAs were mainly targeted to protein quality control for misfolded or incompletely synthesized proteins (biologic process), nuclear chromatin (cellular component), and ubiquitin protein ligase binding (molecular function). GO terms related to CE functions responding to oxidative stress were also identified. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis indicated that dysregulated circRNAs were mostly enriched in the adherens junction pathway. Network analysis identified several potential therapeutic targets for CE dysfunction.

CONCLUSIONS

CircRNAs are significantly dysregulated in HCECs under oxidative stress. The circRNA-associated-ceRNA networks are closely related to HCEC functions. Targeting these networks might provide novel therapies for CE dysfunction.

A Novel Identified Circular RNA, mmu_mmu_circRNA_0000309, Involves in Germacrone-Mediated Improvement of Diabetic Nephropathy Through Regulating Ferroptosis by Targeting miR-188-3p/GPX4 Signaling Axis

Aims: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is characterized by microalbuminuria, mainly associated with pathological and morphological alterations of podocyte. New drug targeting podocyte injury is a promising approach for treating DN. The present study is aimed at developing new drug targeting podocyte injury for treating DN. Results: In this study, germacrone ameliorated kidney damage and inhibited podocyte apoptosis in a DN mouse model. Based on RNA-seq, mmu_mmu_circRNA_0000309, located in host gene vascular endothelial zinc finger 1 (Vezf1), showed a sharp decline in DN mice and a remarkable recovery in germacrone-challenged DN mice. mmu_circRNA_0000309 silence or miR-188-3p mimics abrogated the antiapoptosis and anti-injury effects of germacrone through aggravating mitochondria damage, and elevating reactive oxygen species and ferroptosis-related protein levels. Mechanistically, mmu_circRNA_0000309 competitively sponged miR-188-3p, and subsequently promoted glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) expression, thereby inactivating ferroptosis-dependent mitochondrial damage and podocyte apoptosis. In addition, GPX4 overexpression neutralized mmu_circRNA_0000309 silence-mediated mitochondria damage and ferroptosis in germacrone-exposed MPC5 cells. Innovation: We describe the novel effect and mechanism of germacrone on treating DN, which is linked to ferroptosis for the first time. Conclusion: mmu_circRNA_0000309 silence mediates drug resistance to germacrone in DN mice. mmu_circRNA_0000309 sponges miR-188-3p, and subsequently upregulates GPX4 expression, inactivating ferroptosis-dependent mitochondrial function and podocyte apoptosis. Possibly germacrone-based treatment for DN can be further motivated by regulating mmu_circRNA_0000309/miR-188-3p/GPX4 signaling axis. Antioxid. Redox Signal. 36, 740-759.

Circular RNA in Acute Central Nervous System Injuries: A New Target for Therapeutic Intervention

Acute central nervous system (CNS) injuries, including ischemic stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI) and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), are the most common cause of death and disability around the world. As a kind of non-coding ribonucleic acids (RNAs) with endogenous and conserve, circular RNAs (circRNAs) have recently attracted great attentions due to their functions in diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. A large number of studies have suggested that circRNAs played an important role in brain development and involved in many neurological disorders, particularly in acute CNS injuries. It has been proposed that regulation of circRNAs could improve cognition function, promote angiogenesis, inhibit apoptosis, suppress inflammation, regulate autophagy and protect blood brain barrier (BBB) in acute CNS injuries via different molecules and pathways including microRNA (miRNA), nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB), ph1osphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase/protein kinase B (PI3K/AKT), Notch1 and ten-eleven translocation (TET). Therefore, circRNAs showed great promise as potential targets in acute CNS injuries. In this article, we present a review highlighting the roles of circRNAs in acute CNS injuries. Hence, on the basis of these properties and effects, circRNAs may be developed as therapeutic agents for acute CNS injury patients.

The crosstalk between reactive oxygen species and noncoding RNAs: from cancer code to drug role

Oxidative stress (OS), characterized by the excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), is an emerging hallmark of cancer. Tumorigenesis and development driven by ROS require an aberrant redox homeostasis, that activates onco-signaling and avoids ROS-induced programmed death by orchestrating antioxidant systems. These processes are revealed to closely associate with noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs). On the basis of the available evidence, ncRNAs have been widely identified as multifarious modulators with the involvement of several key redox sensing pathways, such as NF-κB and Nrf2 signaling, therefore potentially becoming effective targets for cancer therapy. Furthermore, the vast majority of ncRNAs with property of easy detected in fluid samples (e.g., blood and urine) facilitate clinicians to monitor redox homeostasis, indicating a novel method for cancer diagnosis. Herein, focusing on carcinoma initiation, metastasis and chemoradiotherapy resistance, we aimed to discuss the ncRNAs-ROS network involved in cancer progression, and the potential clinical application as biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

The gut microbiota metabolite capsiate promotes Gpx4 expression by activating TRPV1 to inhibit intestinal ischemia reperfusion-induced ferroptosis

Ferroptosis, a new type of cell death has been found to aggravate intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. However, little is known about the changes of gut microbiota and metabolites in intestinal I/R and the role of gut microbiota metabolites on ferroptosis-induced intestinal I/R injury. This study aimed to establish a mouse intestinal I/R model and ileum organoid hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) model to explore the changes of the gut microbiota and metabolites during intestinal I/R and protective ability of capsiate (CAT) against ferroptosis-dependent intestinal I/R injury. Intestinal I/R induced disturbance of gut microbiota and significant changes in metabolites. We found that CAT is a metabolite of the gut microbiota and that CAT levels in the preoperative stool of patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass were negatively correlated with intestinal I/R injury. Furthermore, CAT reduced ferroptosis-dependent intestinal I/R injury in vivo and in vitro. However, the protective effects of CAT against ferroptosis-dependent intestinal I/R injury were abolished by RSL3, an inhibitor of glutathione peroxidase 4 (Gpx4), which is a negative regulator of ferroptosis. We also found that the ability of CAT to promote Gpx4 expression and inhibit ferroptosis-dependent intestinal I/R injury was abrogated by JNJ-17203212, an antagonist of transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 1 (TRPV1). This study suggests that the gut microbiota metabolite CAT enhances Gpx4 expression and inhibits ferroptosis by activating TRPV1 in intestinal I/R injury, providing a potential avenue for the management of intestinal I/R injury.

Downregulation of lncRNA GAS5 prevents mitochondrial apoptosis and hypoxic-ischemic brain damage in neonatal rats through the microRNA-128-3p/Bax/Akt/GSK-3β axis

OBJECTIVE

Hypoxic/ischemic brain damage (HIBD) results in increased neonatal mortality and serious neurologic morbidity. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are shown as essential modulators of various neurological diseases. Here, we determined the mechanisms of lncRNA GAS5 in mitochondrial apoptosis in HIBD rats.

METHODS

The HIBD neonatal rat model was established and treated with shRNA-GAS5 or antagomir miR-128-3p. The morphological changes and apoptosis rate were observed by histological staining. Expressions of GAS5, miR-128-3p, and Bax mRNA in brain tissues of HIBD neonatal rats were determined. The binding relationships between GAS5 and miR-128-3p, and miR-128-3p and Bax were confirmed by dual-luciferase assay. Subsequently, the mitochondrial membrane potential and apoptosis-related factors in brain tissues of HIBD neonatal rats were detected. Western blot analysis was performed to detect the expression of Akt/GSK3β pathway-associated proteins.

RESULTS

The neurons in the brain tissue of HIBD neonatal rats decreased with disordered arrangement, and showed vacuolization and nuclear pyknosis, obvious brain damage, increased neuronal apoptosis, and enhanced mitochondrial apoptotic pathway. Downregulated miR-128-3p and upregulated GAS5 and Bax mRNA were found in HIBD neonatal rats. There were binding relationships between GAS5 and miR-128-3p, and miR-128-3p and Bax mRNA. Inhibition of lncRNA GAS5 in HIBD neonatal rats suppressed mitochondrial apoptosis. miR-128-3p knockdown annulled the inhibitory effect of inhibiting lncRNA GAS5 on mitochondrial apoptosis. Silencing GAS5 increased the phosphorylation levels of Akt and GSK3β.

CONCLUSION

Downregulation of lncRNA GAS5 prevents mitochondrial apoptosis in neonatal HIBD rats by regulating the miR-128-3p/Bax/Akt/GSK-3β axis.

Dexmedetomidine inhibits mitochondria damage and apoptosis of enteric glial cells in experimental intestinal ischemia/reperfusion injury via SIRT3-dependent PINK1/HDAC3/p53 pathway

BACKGROUND

Intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury commonly occurs during perioperative periods, resulting in high morbidity and mortality on a global scale. Dexmedetomidine (Dex) is a selective α2-agonist that is frequently applied during perioperative periods for its analgesia effect; however, its ability to provide protection against intestinal I/R injury and underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear.

METHODS

To fill this gap, the protection of Dex against I/R injury was examined in a rat model of intestinal I/R injury and in an inflammation cell model, which was induced by tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) plus interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) stimulation.

RESULTS

Our data demonstrated that Dex had protective effects against intestinal I/R injury in rats. Dex was also found to promote mitophagy and inhibit apoptosis of enteric glial cells (EGCs) in the inflammation cell model. PINK1 downregulated p53 expression by promoting the phosphorylation of HDAC3. Further studies revealed that Dex provided protection against experimentally induced intestinal I/R injury in rats, while enhancing mitophagy, and suppressing apoptosis of EGCs through SIRT3-mediated PINK1/HDAC3/p53 pathway in the inflammation cell model.

CONCLUSION

Hence, these findings provide evidence supporting the protective effect of Dex against intestinal I/R injury and its underlying mechanism involving the SIRT3/PINK1/HDAC3/p53 axis.

circGLI3 Inhibits Oxidative Stress by Regulating the miR-339-5p/VEGFA Axis in IPEC-J2 Cells

As a new type of noncoding RNA, circular RNA (circRNA) is stable in cells and not easily degraded. This type of RNA can also competitively bind miRNAs to regulate the expression of their target genes. The role of circRNA in the mechanism of intestinal oxidative stress (OS) in weaned piglets is still unclear. In our research, diquat (DQ) was used to induce OS in small intestinal epithelial cells (IPEC-J2) to construct an OS cell model. Mechanistically, dual luciferase reporter assays, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and western blotting were performed to confirm that circGLI3 directly sponged miR-339-5p and regulated the expression of VEGFA. Overexpression of circGLI3 promoted IPEC-J2 cell proliferation, increased the proportion of S-phase cells (P < 0.01), and reduced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation when IPEC-J2 cells were subjected to OS. circGLI3 can increase the activity of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and the total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) in IPEC-J2 cells and reduce the malondialdehyde (MDA) content and levels of inflammatory factors. Therefore, overexpression of circGLI3 reduced oxidative damage, whereas miR-339-5p mimic counteracted these effects. We identified a regulatory network composed of circGLI3, miR-339-5p, and VEGFA and verified that circGLI3 regulates VEGFA by directly binding miR-339-5p. The expression of VEGFA affects IPEC-J2 cell proliferation, cell cycle progression, and ROS content and changes the levels of antioxidant enzymes and inflammatory factors. This study reveals the molecular mechanism by which circGLI3 inhibits OS in the intestine of piglets and provides a theoretical basis for further research on the effect of OS on intestinal function.

Circular RNAs in the Regulation of Oxidative Stress

Oxidative stress caused by an imbalance between the production and elimination of reactive metabolites and free radicals can lead to the development of a variety of diseases. Over the past years, with the development of science and technology, circular RNA (circRNA) has been found to be closely associated with oxidative stress, which plays an important role in the process of oxidative stress. Currently, the understanding of circRNAs in the mechanism of oxidative stress is limited. In this review, we described the relationship between oxidative stress and circRNAs, the circRNAs related to oxidative stress, and the role of circRNAs in promoting or inhibiting the occurrence and development of diseases associated with the oxidative stress system.

Emerging Clues of Regulatory Roles of Circular RNAs through Modulating Oxidative Stress: Focus on Neurological and Vascular Diseases

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are novel noncoding RNAs that play regulatory roles in gene expression. Dysregulation of circRNAs is associated with the development and progression of several diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, nervous system diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer. CircRNAs functionally participate in cell physiological activities through various molecular mechanisms. However, these molecular mechanisms are unclear. Oxidative stress is an essential factor in the pathogenesis of various diseases, including neurological diseases. Emerging roles of circRNAs have been identified in different systems in response to oxidative stress. In this review, we summarize the current understanding of circRNA biogenesis, properties, expression profiles, and the clues indicating the regulatory roles of circRNAs through oxidative stress in various systems, especially the nervous system.
