Abstract
INTRODUCTION Blood cancer survivors are at increased risk for medical complications. METHODS Our questionnaire-based study involved 1,551 blood cancer survivors with a ≥3-year interval since the last intense treatment. Its goal was to quantify health-related complications during follow-up and assess their impact on the patients' lives. RESULTS A total of 20.4% of the responding survivors reported a disease relapse, most often in indolent lymphomas. Second primary malignancies occurred in 14.1%, primarily in lymphoma and allogeneic transplantation survivors. The most frequent malignancy was basal cell carcinoma of the skin, but myeloid malignancies, melanoma, bladder, head-and-neck, and thyroid cancer also appeared disproportionately frequent. An increased infection rate was reported by 43.7%, most often after allogeneic transplantation. New cardiovascular diseases were reported by 30.2%, with a high rate of thromboembolic events in multiple myeloma (MM) and myeloproliferative diseases. Polyneuropathies were reported by 39.1%, most often by survivors with a history of MM or aggressive lymphoma. Disease relapse was perceived as the highest burden, followed by second primary malignancy, increased infection frequency, and polyneuropathy. In each area investigated, the range of perceived severities was wide. CONCLUSIONS Health-related complications are frequent during blood cancer follow-up, with significant repercussions on the patients' lives.

Abstract
Medicine-taking among transplant recipients is a complex and ubiquitous task with significant impacts on outcomes. This study aimed to describe the perspectives and experiences of medicine-taking in adult solid organ transplant recipients. Electronic databases were searched to July 2020, and thematic synthesis was used to analyze the data. From 119 studies (n = 2901), we identified six themes: threats to identity and ambitions (impaired self-image, restricting goals and roles, loss of financial independence); navigating through uncertainty and distrust (lacking tangible/perceptible benefits, unprepared for side effects, isolation in decision-making); alleviating treatment burdens (establishing and mastering routines, counteracting side effects, preparing for the unexpected); gaining and seeking confidence (clarity with knowledge, reassurance through collective experiences, focusing on the future outlook); recalibrating to a new normal posttransplant (adjusting to ongoing dependence on medications, in both states of illness and health, unfulfilled expectations); and preserving graft survival (maintaining the ability to participate in life, avoiding rejection, enacting a social responsibility of giving back). Transplant recipients take medications to preserve graft function, but dependence on medications jeopardizes their sense of normality. Interventions supporting the adaptation to medicine-taking and addressing treatment burdens may improve patient satisfaction and capacities to take medications for improved outcomes.

Abstract
Aim To provide a multidimensional assessment of self-reported chronic pain 1-5 years after heart transplantation and its relationship with self-reported well-being, fatigue, recovery, self-efficacy and socio-economic factors and to explore differences between heart recipients and a cohort of lung recipients. Design This multicentre, cross-sectional, cohort study is a part of the Swedish national Self-management after thoracic transplantation study. Methods Six questionnaires were distributed at the heart recipients yearly follow-up (1-5 years) at three Swedish university hospitals 2014-2017. Results The study group comprised of 79 heart recipients, 25 women and 54 men with a mean age of 52.68 years. Chronic pain among heart recipients was common and those not in paid employment as well as those with low psychological well-being and high general fatigue reported significantly more pain. Female heart recipients were more affected by pain. General health and vitality, general fatigue, physical fatigue and reduced activity were related to the pain intensity score. Relevance to clinical practice As it is the duty of the healthcare system to provide adequate pain treatment, screening for pain should be a mandatory part of long-term follow-up.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Peripheral neuropathy can affect patients with heart failure, though its prevalence is unknown. After heart transplantation, it can influence the postoperative course and quality of life, but screening for neuromuscular disease is not routinely performed. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to identify the factors associated with neuropathy in a population of patients with heart failure who are candidates for heart transplantation. STUDY DESIGN Data regarding patients' clinical history, including recent hospitalizations, were collected. All patients underwent a complete neurological examination and a neurophysiological protocol including nerve conduction studies and concentric needle electromyography. RESULTS Thirty-two patients were included in the study, and neuropathy was diagnosed in 10 (31.3%). Neuropathy was associated with the number of admissions ( P = .023; odds ratio [OR]: 1.96) and the total number of days of hospitalization in the year prior to inclusion in the study ( P = .010; OR: 1.03). The majority of hospitalizations occurred in the step-down unit (85%), with acute heart failure the leading cause of admission (42%). CONCLUSIONS This study shows that neuropathy is frequent in patients with advanced heart failure and that hospitalization for cardiac care, also in the absence of intensive care, is a marker of high risk of neurologic damage. These data can help physicians in selecting and managing candidates for transplantation and can guide decisions on the best immunosuppressive regimen or rehabilitation strategy.

Abstract
Introduction The purpose of this study was to examine the preliminary efficacy of yoga on balance, balance confidence, occupational performance, and satisfaction with performance in adults with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Method Fifteen adults with diabetic peripheral neuropathy attended eight weeks of yoga, including positive affirmations, breathing, postures and relaxation. Balance was measured using the Berg balance scale; balance confidence, using the activities-specific balance confidence scale; and occupational performance and satisfaction, using the Canadian occupational performance measure. We used a non-controlled pretest–posttest design. Findings Significant improvements were found for all measures. Improvements remained significant after the Bonferroni correction (α = 0.05/4–0.0125) and effect sizes were large for occupational performance and satisfaction ( dCohen = 1.13, 1.07, respectively). Conclusion Yoga may significantly improve balance, balance confidence, occupational performance, and satisfaction for adults with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Further research utilizing a control group, a larger sample size, and randomization is required.
