Abstract
Due to its impact on animal health and pig industry, African swine fever (ASF) is regarded as one of the most important viral diseases of pigs. Following the ongoing epidemic in the Transcaucasian countries and the Russian Federation, African swine fever virus was introduced into the Estonian wild boar population in 2014. Epidemiological investigations suggested two different introductions into the southern and the north-eastern part of Estonia. Interestingly, outbreak characteristics varied considerably between the affected regions. While high mortality and mainly virus-positive animals were observed in the southern region, mortality was low in the north-eastern area. In the latter, clinically healthy, antibody-positive animals were found in the hunting bag and detection of virus was rare. Two hypotheses could explain the different behaviour in the north-east: (i) the frequency of antibody detections combined with the low mortality is the tail of an older, so far undetected epidemic wave coming from the east, or (ii) the virus in this region is attenuated and leads to a less severe clinical outcome. To explore the possibility of virus attenuation, a re-isolated ASFV strain from the north-eastern Ida-Viru region was biologically characterized in European wild boar. Oronasal inoculation led to an acute and severe disease course in all animals with typical pathomorphological lesions. However, one animal recovered completely and was subsequently commingled with three sentinels of the same age class to assess disease transmission. By the end of the trial at 96 days post-initial inoculation, all animals were completely healthy and neither virus nor viral genomes were detected in the sentinels or the survivor. The survivor, however, showed high antibody levels. In conclusion, the ASFV strain from north-eastern Estonia was still highly virulent but nevertheless, one animal recovered completely. Under the experimental conditions, no transmission occurred from the survivor to susceptible sentinel pigs.

Abstract
This study targeted the assessment of a potential African swine fever virus (ASFV) carrier state of 30 pigs in total which were allowed to recover from infection with ASFV "Netherlands'86" prior exposure to six healthy sentinel pigs for more than 2 months. Throughout the whole trial, blood and swab samples were subjected to routine virological and serological investigations. At the end of the trial, necropsy of all animals was performed and viral persistence and distribution were assessed. Upon infection, a wide range of clinical and pathomorphological signs were observed. After an initial acute phase in all experimentally inoculated pigs, 66.6% recovered completely and seroconverted. However, viral genome was detectable in blood samples for up to 91 days. Lethal outcomes were observed in 33.3% of the pigs with both acute and prolonged courses. No ASFV transmission occurred over the whole in-contact phase from survivors to sentinels. Similarly, infectious ASFV was not detected in any of the tissue samples from ASFV convalescent and in-contact pigs. These findings indicate that the suggested role of ASFV survivors is overestimated and has to be reconsidered thoroughly for future risk assessments.

Abstract
A narrow pentaquark state, P_{c}(4312)^{+}, decaying to J/ψp, is discovered with a statistical significance of 7.3σ in a data sample of Λ_{b}^{0}→J/ψpK^{-} decays, which is an order of magnitude larger than that previously analyzed by the LHCb Collaboration. The P_{c}(4450)^{+} pentaquark structure formerly reported by LHCb is confirmed and observed to consist of two narrow overlapping peaks, P_{c}(4440)^{+} and P_{c}(4457)^{+}, where the statistical significance of this two-peak interpretation is 5.4σ. The proximity of the Σ_{c}^{+}D[over ¯]^{0} and Σ_{c}^{+}D[over ¯]^{*0} thresholds to the observed narrow peaks suggests that they play an important role in the dynamics of these states.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Vidofludimus (SC12267) is a novel oral immunomodulator inhibiting dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) and the expression of proinflammatory cytokines including interleukin-17 (IL17A and IL17F) and interferon-gamma. The objective of the study was to explore the efficacy, safety and tolerability of vidofludimus in steroid-dependent inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). METHODS The open label uncontrolled ENTRANCE study (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT00820365) has been conducted at 13 study centers in Germany, Bulgaria and Romania. Thirty-four steroid-dependent patients with a confirmed diagnosis of Crohn's disease (CD) or ulcerative colitis (UC) were treated with a once daily 35mg oral dose of vidofludimus over 12weeks. Steroids were tapered during the first 8weeks followed by a steroid-free treatment period of 4weeks. Complete response was defined as steroid-free clinical remission at week 12; partial response was defined as being in remission at steroid dose equal or lower than the individual patient's threshold dose for relapse. RESULTS Of the thirty-four patients enrolled in this trial 26 were evaluable for primary efficacy assessment. After completion of the 12weeks treatment phase 8 out of 14 (57.1%) patients with CD and 6 out of 12 (50.0%) patients with UC were in steroid-free remission (complete responders). Another 4 (28.6%) patients in CD and 5 (41.7%) patients in UC were partial responders. Vidofludimus was well tolerated, no drug-related serious adverse events were observed. CONCLUSIONS This trial provides first evidence of clinical efficacy of vidofludimus in IBD. Although the safety and tolerability profile seems favorable, long-term controlled studies are needed to further investigate its potential as novel IBD therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND 99mTc glucarate has recently been reported to be an infarct-avid agent. The feasibility of imaging with 99mTc glucarate was evaluated for the early diagnosis of nonreperfused and reperfused myocardial infarction and compared with localization of simultaneously administered 111In anti-myosin. METHODS AND RESULTS Four groups of six rabbits each were studied. The left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) was kept persistently occluded (n = 6) or reperfused after 40 minutes (n = 6) in rabbits. After confirmation of LAD occlusion by 201Tl scintigraphy, a mixture of 99mTc glucarate (15.7 +/- 1.6 mCi) and 111In anti-myosin (0.53 +/- 0.03 mCi) was administered intravenously. Another group of rabbits (n = 6) with 5 or 15 minutes of LAD occlusion were used to assess the affinity of 99mTc glucarate for the ischemic myocardium. The remaining 6 rabbits with reperfused myocardial infarction were used for the assessment of subcellular localization of 99mTc glucarate. 99mTc glucarate cleared rapidly from circulation (elimination t1/2, 36 minutes). Infarcts were visualized within 10 minutes in reperfused and within 30 minutes in nonreperfused coronary territories after intravenous administration. 111In anti-myosin delineated reperfused infarcts within 1 to 3 hours, but no uptake was seen in persistently occluded rabbits. 99mTc glucarate uptake in reperfused and nonreperfused infarct centers was 28 and 12 times greater, respectively, than that in normal myocardium (P = .0001). A direct correlation between glucarate and anti-myosin localization (r = .60 for nonreperfused; 0.76 for reperfused; P < .0001) was observed. Ischemic hearts showed no glucarate uptake. Subcellularly, 99mTc glucarate localized predominantly in the nuclear fraction of the infarct, with lesser extents in the mitochondrial and cytoplasmic fractions. CONCLUSIONS Noninvasive imaging of myocardial infarcts with 99mTc glucarate is possible within minutes in persistently occluded or reperfused myocardial infarcts. Early detectability results from the rapid blood clearance and high avidity of glucarate for the acutely necrotic myocardial tissue.

Short-term outcomes of a multicentre randomized clinical trial comparing D2 versus D3 lymph node dissection for colonic cancer (COLD trial). Br J Surg 2019; 107:499-508. Abstract
BACKGROUND It remains unclear whether extended lymphadenectomy provides oncological advantages in colorectal cancer. This multicentre RCT aimed to address this issue. METHODS Patients with resectable primary colonic cancer were enrolled in four hospitals registered in the COLD trial, and randomized to D2 or D3 dissection in a 1 : 1 ratio. Data were analysed to assess the safety of D3 dissection. RESULTS The study included the first 100 patients randomized in this ongoing trial. Ninety-nine patients were included in the intention-to-treat (ITT) analysis (43 D2, 56 D3). Ninety-two patients received the allocated treatment and were included in the per-protocol (PP) analysis: 39 of 43 in the D2 group and 53 of 56 in the D3 group. There were no deaths. The 30-day postoperative morbidity rate was 47 per cent in the D2 group and 48 per cent in the D3 group, with a risk ratio of 1·04 (95 per cent c.i. 0·68 to 1·58) (P = 0·867). There were two anastomotic leaks (5 per cent) in the D2 group and none in the D3 group. Postoperative recovery, complication and readmission rates did not differ between the groups in ITT and PP analyses. Mean lymph node yield was 26·6 and 27·8 in D2 and D3 procedures respectively. Good quality of complete mesocolic excision was more frequently noted in the D3 group (P = 0·048). Three patients in the D3 group (5 per cent) had metastases in D3 lymph nodes. D3 was never the only affected level of lymph nodes. N-positive status was more common in the D3 group (46 per cent versus 26 per cent in D2), with a risk ratio of 1·81 (95 per cent c.i. 1·01 to 3·24) (P = 0·044). CONCLUSION D3 lymph node dissection is feasible and may be associated with better N staging. Registration number: NCT03009227 ( http://www.clinicaltrials.gov).

Abstract
The development of a noninvasive imaging procedure for identifying atherosclerotic lesions is extremely important for the clinical management of patients with coronary artery and peripheral vascular disease. Although numerous radiopharmaceuticals have been proposed for this purpose, none has demonstrated the diagnostic accuracy required to replace invasive angiography. In this report, we used the radiolabeled purine analog, 99mTc diadenosine tetraphosphate (Ap4A; AppppA, P1,P4-di(adenosine-5')-tetraphosphate) and its analogue 99mTc AppCHClppA for imaging experimental atherosclerotic lesions in New Zealand White rabbits. Serial gamma camera images were obtained after intravenous injection of the radiolabeled dinucleotides. After acquiring the final images, the animals were sacrificed, ex vivo images of the aortas were recorded, and biodistribution was measured. 99mTc-Ap4A and 99mTc AppCHClppA accumulated rapidly in atherosclerotic abdominal aorta, and lesions were clearly visible within 30 min after injection in all animals that were studied. Both radiopharmaceuticals were retained in the lesions for 3 hr, and the peak lesion to normal vessel ratio was 7.4 to 1. Neither of the purine analogs showed significant accumulation in the abdominal aorta of normal (control) rabbits. The excised aortas showed lesion patterns that were highly correlated with the in vivo and ex vivo imaging results. The present study demonstrates that purine receptors are up-regulated in experimental atherosclerotic lesions and 99mTc-labeled purine analogs have potential for rapid noninvasive detection of plaque formation.

Noninvasive localization of experimental atherosclerotic lesions with mouse/human chimeric Z2D3 F(ab')2 specific for the proliferating smooth muscle cells of human atheroma. Abstract
BACKGROUND A murine monoclonal antibody designated Z2D3 (IgM) generated against homogenized human atherosclerotic plaques was demonstrated to be highly specific for proliferating smooth muscle cells. The primary clone subsequently was genetically engineered to provide a mouse/human chimeric antibody with human IgG1 constant region expressed in a rat myeloma cell line. The resulting Z2D3-73.30 chimeric retained the immunoreactivity relative to the parent Z2D3-IgM and was pepsin-digested to yield F(ab')2. 111In-labeled chimeric Z2D3 F(ab')2 was then used for noninvasive imaging of experimental atherosclerotic lesions. To improve the imaging characteristics, we modified chimeric Z2D3 F(ab')2 fragments to carry a high negative charge. Improved visualization of targets with 111In-labeled, negatively charged, polymer-modified antibodies most probably is the result of faster blood clearance and a decrease in nontarget background activity. METHODS AND RESULTS Experimental atherosclerotic lesions were induced in rabbits by deendothelialization of the infradiaphragmatic aorta followed by a 6% peanut oil-2% cholesterol diet. After 12 weeks, localization of the conventionally labeled 111In-Z2D3 F(ab')2 (24 Mbq [650 microCi]/500 to 750 micrograms) (n = 4) was compared with 111In-labeled, negatively charged, polymer-modified Z2D3 F(ab')2 (24 Mbq [650 microCi]/25 to 50 micrograms) in eight atherosclerotic rabbits. Three control rabbits also received radiolabeled polymer-modified Z2D3. Ten rabbits with atherosclerotic lesions received 111In-labeled nonspecific human IgG1 F(ab')2 with (n = 6) or without (n = 4) negative charge modification. Atherosclerotic lesions were visualized in all rabbits with the conventional Z2D3 F(ab')2 at 48 hours. However, unequivocal lesion visualization was possible at 24 hours only with negatively charged, polymer-modified Z2D3 F(ab')2. Quantitative uptake of F(ab')2 fragments was essentially determined by the presence of atherosclerotic lesions (F1.37 = 69.8; P < .0001) and the specificity of the antibody (F1.37 = 36.6; P < .0001). Uptake of the conventional Z2D3 in atherosclerotic lesions (mean +/- SEM percent injected dose per gram, 0.112 +/- 0.024%) was six times higher than background activity in the normal aortic segments (nondenuded thoracic aorta; mean percent injected dose per gram, 0.019 +/- 0.003%). Uptake of the conventional Z2D3 was also significantly higher than that of nonspecific human IgG1 F(ab')2 (0.027 +/- 0.004%). Specific uptake of the conventional Z2D3 in the lesions was comparable to the charge-modified Z2D3 uptake (0.084 +/- 0.017; P = .20). Uptake of negative charge-modified Z2D3 in the lesions was significantly higher than in the corresponding background activity in normal thoracic aorta (0.021 +/- 0.002). Uptake of negative charge-modified Z2D3 F(ab')2 in the lesions was higher than the uptake of negative charge-modified nonspecific IgG1 F(ab')2 (0.020 +/- 0.002) in the lesions. Uptake of charge-modified Z2D3 in the atherosclerotic lesions was also significantly higher than the corresponding regions of the aorta of the control rabbits (0.017 +/- 0.002; F1.18 = 27.9; P = .0001). There was, however, no difference in the specific lesion uptake of negative charge-modified Z2D3 at 24 hours (0.079 +/- 0.014) and 48 hours (0.084 +/- 0.0017; P = .99) after intravenous administration. Nontarget organ activities were lower with negative charge-modified 111In-labeled Z2D3 F(ab')2 than with the conventional Z2D3 F(ab')2. Mean kidney activity was fourfold less with the modified (0.45 +/- 0.06) than with the conventionally radiolabeled (1.67 +/- 0.264; P = .001) Z2D3 F(ab')2.

Abstract
A highly significant structure is observed in the Λ_{c}^{+}K^{-}π^{+}π^{+} mass spectrum, where the Λ_{c}^{+} baryon is reconstructed in the decay mode pK^{-}π^{+}. The structure is consistent with originating from a weakly decaying particle, identified as the doubly charmed baryon Ξ_{cc}^{++}. The difference between the masses of the Ξ_{cc}^{++} and Λ_{c}^{+} states is measured to be 1334.94±0.72(stat.)±0.27(syst.) MeV/c^{2}, and the Ξ_{cc}^{++} mass is then determined to be 3621.40±0.72(stat.)±0.27(syst.)±0.14(Λ_{c}^{+}) MeV/c^{2}, where the last uncertainty is due to the limited knowledge of the Λ_{c}^{+} mass. The state is observed in a sample of proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb^{-1}, and confirmed in an additional sample of data collected at 8 TeV.

Abstract
A fundamental question in the study of chemical reactions is how reactions proceed at a collision energy close to absolute zero. This question is no longer hypothetical: quantum degenerate gases of atoms and molecules can now be created at temperatures lower than a few tens of nanokelvin. Here we consider the benchmark ultracold reaction between, the most-celebrated ultracold molecule, KRb and K. We map out an accurate ab initio ground-state potential energy surface of the K2Rb complex in full dimensionality and report numerically-exact quantum-mechanical reaction dynamics. The distribution of rotationally resolved rates is shown to be Poissonian. An analysis of the hyperspherical adiabatic potential curves explains this statistical character revealing a chaotic distribution for the short-range collision complex that plays a key role in governing the reaction outcome. Studying chemical reactions near zero temperature in detail is challenging both in theory and practice. Here the authors report an explicit quantum mechanical study of the benchmark ultracold reaction between a K atom and a KRb molecule, important for future controlled chemistry experiments.

Abstract
The Ξ_{c}^{+}K^{-} mass spectrum is studied with a sample of pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.3 fb^{-1}, collected by the LHCb experiment. The Ξ_{c}^{+} is reconstructed in the decay mode pK^{-}π^{+}. Five new, narrow excited Ω_{c}^{0} states are observed: the Ω_{c}(3000)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3050)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3066)^{0}, Ω_{c}(3090)^{0}, and Ω_{c}(3119)^{0}. Measurements of their masses and widths are reported.

Abstract
An angular analysis of the B^{0}→K^{*0}(→K^{+}π^{-})μ^{+}μ^{-} decay is presented using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb^{-1} of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. The full set of CP-averaged observables are determined in bins of the invariant mass squared of the dimuon system. Contamination from decays with the K^{+}π^{-} system in an S-wave configuration is taken into account. The tension seen between the previous LHCb results and the standard model predictions persists with the new data. The precise value of the significance of this tension depends on the choice of theory nuisance parameters.

Systemic delivery of atropine sulfate by the MicroDose Dry-Powder Inhaler. J Aerosol Med Pulm Drug Deliv 2013; 26:46-55. Abstract
BACKGROUND Inhaled atropine is being developed as a systemic and pulmonary treatment for the extended recovery period after chemical weapons exposure. We performed a pharmacokinetics study comparing inhaled atropine delivery using the MicroDose Therapeutx Dry Powder Inhaler (DPIA) with intramuscular (IM) atropine delivery via auto-injector (AUTO). METHODS The MicroDose DPIA utilizes a novel piezoelectric system to aerosolize drug and excipient from a foil dosing blister. Subjects inhaled a 1.95-mg atropine sulfate dose from the dry powder inhaler on one study day [5 doses × 0.4 mg per dose (nominal) delivered over 12 min] and received a 2-mg IM injection via the AtroPen® auto-injector on another. Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamic response, and safety were studied for 12 hr. RESULTS A total of 17 subjects were enrolled. All subjects completed IM dosing. One subject did not perform inhaled delivery due to a skin reaction from the IM dose. Pharmacokinetic results were as follows: area under the curve concentration, DPIA=20.1±5.8, AUTO=23.7±4.9 ng hr/mL (means±SD); maximum concentration reached, DPIA=7.7±3.5, AUTO=11.0±3.8 ng/mL; time to reach maximum concentration, DPIA=0.25±0.47, AUTO=0.19±0.23 hr. Pharmacodynamic results were as follows: maximum increase in heart rate, DPIA=18±12, AUTO=23±13 beats/min; average change in 1-sec forced expiratory volume at 30 min, DPIA=0.16±0.22 L, AUTO=0.11±0.29 L. The relative bioavailability for DPIA was 87% (based on output dose). Two subjects demonstrated allergic responses: one to the first dose (AUTO), which was mild and transient, and one to the second dose (DPIA), which was moderate in severity, required treatment with oral and intravenous (IV) diphenhydramine and IV steroids, and lasted more than 7 days. CONCLUSIONS Dry powder inhalation is a highly bioavailable route for attaining rapid and consistent systemic concentrations of atropine.

Abstract
We report the measurement of the anisotropic ac polarizability of ultracold polar (40)K(87)Rb molecules in the ground and first rotationally excited states. Theoretical analysis of the polarizability agrees well with experimental findings. Although the polarizability can vary by more than 30%, a "magic" angle between the laser polarization and the quantization axis is found where the polarizability of the |N=0,m(N)=0> and the |N=1,m(N)=0> states match. At this angle, rotational decoherence due to the mismatch in trapping potentials is eliminated, and we observe a sharp increase in the coherence time. This paves the way for precise spectroscopic measurements and coherent manipulations of rotational states as a tool in the creation and probing of novel quantum many-body states of polar molecules.

Abstract
A search for the rare decays B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} and B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} is performed at the LHCb experiment using data collected in pp collisions corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 4.4 fb^{-1}. An excess of B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} decays is observed with a significance of 7.8 standard deviations, representing the first observation of this decay in a single experiment. The branching fraction is measured to be B(B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})=(3.0±0.6_{-0.2}^{+0.3})×10^{-9}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The first measurement of the B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} effective lifetime, τ(B_{s}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})=2.04±0.44±0.05 ps, is reported. No significant excess of B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} decays is found, and a 95% confidence level upper limit, B(B^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})<3.4×10^{-10}, is determined. All results are in agreement with the standard model expectations.

Abstract
We report unprecedented transmission experiments of 3 keV Ne7+ ions through capillaries of 100 nm diameter and 10 microm length produced by etching ion tracks in a polymer foil. We studied foils tilted up to +/-20 degrees for which the incident ions are forced to interact with the capillary surface. Surprisingly, the majority of Ne7+ ions were found to survive the surface scattering events in their initial charge state. The angular distributions of the transmitted particles indicate propagation of the Ne7+ ions along the capillary axis. This capillary guiding of the Ne7+ ion provides evidence that the inner walls of the capillaries become charged and electron capture from the surface is suppressed in a self-organizing process.

Measurement of the Ratio of the B^{0}→D^{*-}τ^{+}ν_{τ} and B^{0}→D^{*-}μ^{+}ν_{μ} Branching Fractions Using Three-Prong τ-Lepton Decays. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2018; 120:171802. Abstract
The ratio of branching fractions R(D^{*-})≡B(B^{0}→D^{*-}τ^{+}ν_{τ})/B(B^{0}→D^{*-}μ^{+}ν_{μ}) is measured using a data sample of proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb^{-1}. For the first time, R(D^{*-}) is determined using the τ-lepton decays with three charged pions in the final state. The B^{0}→D^{*-}τ^{+}ν_{τ} yield is normalized to that of the B^{0}→D^{*-}π^{+}π^{-}π^{+} mode, providing a measurement of B(B^{0}→D^{*-}τ^{+}ν_{τ})/B(B^{0}→D^{*-}π^{+}π^{-}π^{+})=1.97±0.13±0.18, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The value of B(B^{0}→D^{*-}τ^{+}ν_{τ})=(1.42±0.094±0.129±0.054)% is obtained, where the third uncertainty is due to the limited knowledge of the branching fraction of the normalization mode. Using the well-measured branching fraction of the B^{0}→D^{*-}μ^{+}ν_{μ} decay, a value of R(D^{*-})=0.291±0.019±0.026±0.013 is established, where the third uncertainty is due to the limited knowledge of the branching fractions of the normalization and B^{0}→D^{*-}μ^{+}ν_{μ} modes. This measurement is in agreement with the standard model prediction and with previous results.

Observation of CP Violation in Charm Decays. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2019; 122:211803. Abstract
A search for charge-parity (CP) violation in D^{0}→K^{-}K^{+} and D^{0}→π^{-}π^{+} decays is reported, using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.9 fb^{-1} collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the LHCb detector. The flavor of the charm meson is inferred from the charge of the pion in D^{*}(2010)^{+}→D^{0}π^{+} decays or from the charge of the muon in B[over ¯]→D^{0}μ^{-}ν[over ¯]_{μ}X decays. The difference between the CP asymmetries in D^{0}→K^{-}K^{+} and D^{0}→π^{-}π^{+} decays is measured to be ΔA_{CP}=[-18.2±3.2(stat)±0.9(syst)]×10^{-4} for π-tagged and ΔA_{CP}=[-9±8(stat)±5(syst)]×10^{-4} for μ-tagged D^{0} mesons. Combining these with previous LHCb results leads to ΔA_{CP}=(-15.4±2.9)×10^{-4}, where the uncertainty includes both statistical and systematic contributions. The measured value differs from zero by more than 5 standard deviations. This is the first observation of CP violation in the decay of charm hadrons.

Search for A^{'}→μ^{+}μ^{-} Decays. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2020; 124:041801. Abstract
Searches are performed for both promptlike and long-lived dark photons, A^{'}, produced in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. These searches look for A^{'}→μ^{+}μ^{-} decays using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.5 fb^{-1} collected with the LHCb detector. Neither search finds evidence for a signal, and 90% confidence-level exclusion limits are placed on the γ-A^{'} kinetic mixing strength. The promptlike A^{'} search explores the mass region from near the dimuon threshold up to 70 GeV and places the most stringent constraints to date on dark photons with 214<m(A^{'})≲740 MeV and 10.6<m(A^{'})≲30 GeV. The search for long-lived A^{'}→μ^{+}μ^{-} decays places world-leading constraints on low-mass dark photons with lifetimes O(1) ps.

Abstract
A measurement is reported of the ratio of branching fractions R(J/ψ)=B(B_{c}^{+}→J/ψτ^{+}ν_{τ})/B(B_{c}^{+}→J/ψμ^{+}ν_{μ}), where the τ^{+} lepton is identified in the decay mode τ^{+}→μ^{+}ν_{μ}ν[over ¯]_{τ}. This analysis uses a sample of proton-proton collision data corresponding to 3.0 fb^{-1} of integrated luminosity recorded with the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV. A signal is found for the decay B_{c}^{+}→J/ψτ^{+}ν_{τ} at a significance of 3 standard deviations corrected for systematic uncertainty, and the ratio of the branching fractions is measured to be R(J/ψ)=0.71±0.17(stat)±0.18(syst). This result lies within 2 standard deviations above the range of central values currently predicted by the standard model.

Protocol for a multicentre randomized clinical trial comparing oncological outcomes of D2 versus D3 lymph node dissection in colonic cancer (COLD trial). BJS Open 2019; 3:288-298. [PMID: 31183444 PMCID: PMC6551411 DOI: 10.1002/bjs5.50142] [Citation(s) in RCA: 15] [Impact Index Per Article: 2.5] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Track Full Text] [Download PDF] [Figures] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 07/24/2018] [Accepted: 12/14/2018] [Indexed: 12/13/2022] Open
Abstract
Background The extent of lymph node dissection in colonic cancer surgery remains arguable, and evidence from RCTs regarding extended lymph node dissection outcomes is lacking. This study aimed to compare the long‐term results of D3 lymph node dissection with those of D2 dissection. Methods This is a multicentre RCT. The aim is to enrol 768 patients with primary colonic cancer assigned randomly to D2 or D3 lymph node dissection. The trial is assessing the superiority of 5‐year overall survival as the primary endpoint in patients undergoing D3 lymph node dissection versus D2 dissection. Secondary endpoints include disease‐free survival, short‐term outcomes (30‐day morbidity and mortality), quality of complete mesocolic excision and lymph node dissection, pattern of lymph node metastasis and quality of life in patients following D2 and D3 lymph node dissection. Experience of 20 D3 and 20 D2 lymph node dissections is required for surgeons to participate in the trial. For surgical accreditation four non‐edited videos of procedures will be assessed. Patients will be followed up for 5 years after last patient enrolment. Intention‐to‐treat analysis will be performed. Discussion The results of this study will demonstrate whether extended lymph node dissection is superior to standard dissection in terms of oncological outcomes, and will also assess the impact of more extensive surgery on short‐term outcomes and quality of life.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Mouse/human chimeric antibody Z2D3 identifies an antigen produced exclusively by proliferating smooth muscle cells of human atheroma, and also cross reacts with experimentally induced atherosclerotic lesions in rabbits. Fab' fragments of Z2D3 antibody were labeled with (99m)Tc using glucaric acid as a weak transchelator. The potential role of (99m)Tc-labeled Z2D3 scintigraphy was explored for noninvasive imaging of experimental atherosclerotic lesions. METHODS AND RESULTS (99m)Tc-Z2D3 Fab' was utilized for noninvasive imaging in four rabbits with experimentally induced atherosclerotic lesions and in one control rabbit. In addition, (99m)Tc-labeled nonspecific 103D2 Fab' was used for comparison in four other rabbits with atherosclerotic lesions. The atherosclerotic lesions were induced by balloon de-endothelialization of the infradiaphragmatic abdominal aorta and 12 weeks of hyperlipidemic diet. An aliquot of 15 mCi (550 mBq) of (99m)Tc pertechnetate was incubated with 6.25 mg of glucaric acid for 30 min followed by incubation of (99m)Tc glucarate with 375 microg of Z2D3 Fab' or 103D2 Fab' for an additional 30 min. Instant thin-layer chromatography demonstrated almost complete radiolabeling. (99m)Tc-Z2D3 was administered IV and gamma imaging was performed at the time of injection, 3, 6, 9, and 12 h, followed by ex vivo imaging of the excised aorta, and biodistribution was performed. Unequivocal visualization of atherosclerotic lesions was possible in all four animals at 9 to 12 h with Z2D3 Fab'. Quantitative uptake, as represented by mean lesion-to-liver count density ratio, was 0.6+/-0.05. Imaging with nonspecific 103D2 Fab' did not show any localization in the abdominal aorta (lesion-to-liver ratio, 0.45+/-0.02, p=0.02). Ex vivo lesion-to-normal aortic segment ratio was 4.3+/-0.9 for Z2D3 and 1.04+/-0.08 for nonspecific 103D2 Fab' (p=0.01). Biodistribution studies demonstrated 0.03+/-0.003% injected Z2D3 dose per gram in the atherosclerotic lesions as compared with 0.01+/-0.003% in the nondenuded thoracic aorta of atherosclerotic rabbits (p=0.008). However, only 0.008+/-0.002% of the mean injected dose per gram was obtained in the atherosclerotic lesions (p=0.001) as compared with 0.005+/-0.003% in the normal aortic segments with 103D2. No Z2D3 uptake in normal rabbits was observed on either the in vivo or ex vivo images. CONCLUSIONS The present study demonstrates that (99m)Tc-based immunoimaging of the vascular lesions may be feasible by the use of smaller antibody fragments. Earlier visualization is possible at the expense of a lower absolute antibody uptake in the lesions as compared to the use of intact antibody or larger fragments with longer circulating time.

Abstract
The first full amplitude analysis of B^{+}→J/ψϕK^{+} with J/ψ→μ^{+}μ^{-}, ϕ→K^{+}K^{-} decays is performed with a data sample of 3 fb^{-1} of pp collision data collected at sqrt[s]=7 and 8 TeV with the LHCb detector. The data cannot be described by a model that contains only excited kaon states decaying into ϕK^{+}, and four J/ψϕ structures are observed, each with significance over 5 standard deviations. The quantum numbers of these structures are determined with significance of at least 4 standard deviations. The lightest has mass consistent with, but width much larger than, previous measurements of the claimed X(4140) state.

Maximizing radiotracer delivery to experimental atherosclerotic lesions with high-dose, negative charge-modified Z2D3 antibody for immunoscintigraphic targeting. J Nucl Cardiol 1997; 4:226-33. Abstract
BACKGROUND Two factors that directly affect target/background ratio in immunoscintigraphy are the concentration of the antibody bound to the target and the concentration of the antibody in the circulation. High dosages of monoclonal antibody have been reported to be more efficacious in visualization of tumors. Although administration of a higher dosage of antibody increases the absolute target accumulation of the radiotracer, it also increases the background activity, which may offset this advantage. Negative charge-modified antibodies carry high specific radioactivity to the target sites without significantly increasing the background activity. Therefore we investigated whether higher dosages of negative charge-modified antibody can be used to improve imaging of experimental atherosclerotic lesions. METHODS AND RESULTS Experimental atherosclerotic lesions were produced in 16 New Zealand White rabbits by balloon deendothelialization of the infradiaphragmatic aorta and hyperlipidemic diet for 12 weeks. Negative charge-modified Z2D3 antibody F(ab')2 specific for an antigen on proliferating smooth muscle cells of human atheroma labeled with (111)In was used for imaging experimental atherosclerotic lesions either at high (100 to 125 microg) or low (25 to 50 microg) dosages. A lower dosage of Z2D3 was labeled with 507 +/- 29.5 microCi (25 to 50 microg) (111)In label, compared with 2.9 +/- 0.24 mCi (100 to 125 microg) for the higher dosage. Although noninvasive visualization of atherosclerotic lesions was possible in all animals at 24 hours, high antibody dose allowed unequivocal visualization of the lesion as early as 3 hours after intravenous administration of the antibody. Eight animals were killed at 24 hours and the remaining eight animals at 48 hours. Mean radioactivity dose delivered per gram of lesion with the low-dose protocol at 24 hours was 0.46 +/- 0.09 microCi, which remained essentially unchanged at 48 hours (0.37 +/- 0.09 microCi; p = 0.51). With the high-dosage protocol, the total radioactivity (dose) per gram uptake in the lesion increased by about eightfold (3.49 +/- 0.58 microCi; p = 0.002) at 24 hours and was sixfold higher at 48 hours (2.21 +/- 0.45 microCi; p < 0.02). CONCLUSIONS The study demonstrated that the increase in the dosage of negatively charge-modified antibody allows a very high delivery of specific radioactivity to the target, which in turn enables early visualization of experimental atherosclerotic lesions.

Abstract
A measurement of the ratio of branching fractions of the decays B^{+}→K^{+}μ^{+}μ^{-} and B^{+}→K^{+}e^{+}e^{-} is presented. The proton-proton collision data used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb^{-1} recorded with the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. For the dilepton mass-squared range 1.1<q^{2}<6.0 GeV^{2}/c^{4} the ratio of branching fractions is measured to be R_{K}=0.846_{-0.054}^{+0.060}_{-0.014}^{+0.016}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This is the most precise measurement of R_{K} to date and is compatible with the standard model at the level of 2.5 standard deviations.
