Abstract
Information regarding treatment of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD) beyond reduction in immunosuppression (RI) is limited. We retrospectively evaluated patients receiving rituximab and/or chemotherapy for PTLD for response, time to treatment failure (TTF) and overall survival (OS). Thirty-five patients met inclusion criteria. Twenty-two underwent rituximab treatment, with overall response rate (ORR) 68%. Median TTF was not reached at 19 months and estimated OS was 31 months. In univariable analysis, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) positivity predicted response and TTF. LDH elevation predicted shorter OS. No patient died of rituximab toxicity and all patients who progressed underwent further treatment with chemotherapy. Twenty-three patients received chemotherapy. ORR was 74%, median TTF was 10.5 months and estimated OS was 42 months. Prognostic factors for response included stage, LDH and allograft involvement by tumor. These factors and lack of complete response (CR) predicted poor survival. Twenty-six percent of the patients receiving chemotherapy died of toxicity. Rituximab and chemotherapy are effective in patients with PTLD who fail or do not tolerate RI. While rituximab is well tolerated, toxicity of chemotherapy is marked. PTLD patients requiring therapy beyond RI should be considered for rituximab, especially with EBV-positive disease. Chemotherapy should be reserved for patients who fail rituximab, have EBV-negative tumors or need a rapid response.

Abstract
Purpose Osteonecrosis of the jaws (ONJ) was initially described in 2001 in patients receiving intravenous bisphosphonate (BP) treatment. The objective of the present study was to determine whether routine dental procedures can be considered as possible risk factors for the development of ONJ in breast cancer patients receiving BP. Patients and Methods Twenty breast cancer patients who developed ONJ receiving BP treatment were included in group A, whereas group B consisted of 40 matched controls (breast cancer patients who did not progress to ONJ receiving BP treatment). Routine dental care, smoking habits, history of tooth extraction, use of dentures, and root canal therapy were recorded. Results Our results indicate that history of tooth extraction during zoledronic acid treatment (adjusted odds ratio [OR] = 16.4; 95% CI, 3.4 to 79.6) and the use of dentures (adjusted OR = 4.9; 95% CI, 1.2 to 20.1) increase the risk of developing ONJ. Conclusion The outcome of the present study suggests early referral by oncologists for dental evaluation for every patient to be treated with BP. These results raise the current American Society of Clinical Oncology Level of Evidence linking certain dental procedures with ONJ from V to III. Further studies are needed to assess other possible risk factors and also to highlight the etiopathogenesis mechanism of ONJ.

Abstract
While EBV PCR is used in the management of PTLD, the optimal primer set, relative importance of intracellular versus free plasma EBV, and the baseline profile in an organ transplant population remains unclear. We performed a prospective 2-arm trial utilizing an EBV PCR panel measuring LMP-1, EBER-1 and EBNA-1 in both free plasma as well as intracellular whole blood. Control Arm A consisted of 31 lung transplant patients and Arm B consisted of 35 transplant patients being evaluated for possible PTLD. In Arm A, 1/31 (3%) patients developed a transient plasma EBV load. Thirteen of 31 (42%) had detectable intracellular EBV. In Arm B, 17 (49%) patients were diagnosed with PTLD. Thirteen (76%) had EBV-positive PTLD with 12/13 (92%) having detectable EBV by PCR. The EBV PCR panel had a high sensitivity (92%), specificity (72%), positive predictive value (PPV) (71%) and negative predictive value (NPV) (93%) for diagnosing EBV-positive PTLD and followed patients' clinical course well (p < 0.001). Comparing the individual PCR assays, plasma EBNA PCR was superior with high sensitivity (77%), specificity (100%), PPV (100%) and NPV (86%). We conclude that EBV PCR is a useful test for managing PTLD patients. While plasma EBNA PCR is the best single assay for diagnosing and monitoring PTLD, the complete PCR panel is superior for ruling out its presence.

Abstract
We conducted a retrospective analysis of 50 lymphoma patients (Hodgkin's disease and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) who had an 18F-fluoro-deoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) scan after at least two cycles of salvage chemotherapy and before autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) at our institution. The patients were categorized into FDG-PET negative (N = 32) and positive (N = 18) groups. The median follow-up after ASCT was 19 months (range: 3-59). In the FDG-PET-negative group, the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 19 months (range: 2-59) with 15 (54%) patients without progression at 12 months after ASCT. The median overall survival (OS) for this group was not reached. In the FDG-PET-positive group, the median PFS was 5 months (range: 1-19) with only one (7%) patient without progression at 12 months after ASCT. The median OS was 19 months (range: 1-34). In the FDG-PET-negative group, chemotherapy-resistant patients by CT-based criteria had a comparable outcome to those with chemotherapy-sensitive disease. A positive FDG-PET scan after salvage chemotherapy and prior ASCT indicates an extremely poor chance of durable response after ASCT.

Abstract
The benefit of the effect of chemotherapy in patients with advanced head and neck squamous cell tumors have been demonstrated by recent meta-analyses of randomized studies. However, the role of chemotherapy-especially in advanced oral cancer-is not fully clear, because of the very small amount of phase II literature available. From January 1994 to December 2000, a total of 44 pts aged 33-75 years (mean age 60 years) with advanced and histologically proved squamous cell carcinoma's of the oral cavity received at least one chemotherapy course. Seven patients had stage III and 37 stage IV disease. The chemotherapy was the initial therapy in a group of 21 patients. In a second group of 23 patients the chemotherapy was delivered after relapse of their disease. The pre-chemotherapy treatment of the second group was radiotherapy in 11, surgery in 4, combination of radiotherapy and surgery in 8 patients. The chemotherapy regimen consisted of cisplatin 100 mg/m(2) in 3-h infusion, day 1 and 5-FU 1000 mg/m(2) in 24-h infusion, days 1-5. Treatment was repeated every 21 days. A total of 154 treatment courses (3.5 per patient, ranged 1-10) were administered. Myelotoxicity, nausea and vomiting were the major treatment complications. The overall response rate to the induction chemotherapy was 52.3%, with 19% complete (CR), and 33.3% partial response's (PR) and to the chemotherapy for recurrent/metastatic disease 30.4% with 8.7% CR, and 21.7% PR. No difference was found in the median survival of the two subgroups (12 months). The median survival of the responders was 15 months (95% CI 11.3-18.7 months), and of the non-responders 9 months (95% CI 5.6-12.4 months) (P = 0.0067). Chemotherapy with cisplatin and 5-FU combination is effective in pts with advanced squamous cell oral cancer and appears to improve the survival of patients who have a good response.

Abstract
Background The advanced lung cancer inflammation index [ALI: body mass index × serum albumin/neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR)] reflects systemic host inflammation, and is easily reproducible. We hypothesized that ALI could assist guidance of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). Patients and methods This retrospective study included 672 stage IV NSCLC patients treated with programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors alone or in combination with chemotherapy in 25 centers in Greece and Germany, and a control cohort of 444 stage IV NSCLC patients treated with platinum-based chemotherapy without subsequent targeted or immunotherapy drugs. The association of clinical outcomes with biomarkers was analyzed with Cox regression models, including cross-validation by calculation of the Harrell's C-index. Results High ALI values (>18) were significantly associated with longer overall survival (OS) for patients receiving ICI monotherapy [hazard ratio (HR) = 0.402, P < 0.0001, n = 460], but not chemo-immunotherapy (HR = 0.624, P = 0.111, n = 212). Similar positive correlations for ALI were observed for objective response rate (36% versus 24%, P = 0.008) and time-on-treatment (HR = 0.52, P < 0.001), in case of ICI monotherapy only. In the control cohort of chemotherapy, the association between ALI and OS was weaker (HR = 0.694, P = 0.0002), and showed a significant interaction with the type of treatment (ICI monotherapy versus chemotherapy, P < 0.0001) upon combined analysis of the two cohorts. In multivariate analysis, ALI had a stronger predictive effect than NLR, PD-L1 tumor proportion score, lung immune prognostic index, and EPSILoN scores. Among patients with PD-L1 tumor proportion score ≥50% receiving first-line ICI monotherapy, a high ALI score >18 identified a subset with longer OS and time-on-treatment (median 35 and 16 months, respectively), similar to these under chemo-immunotherapy. Conclusions The ALI score is a powerful prognostic and predictive biomarker for patients with advanced NSCLC treated with PD-L1 inhibitors alone, but not in combination with chemotherapy. Its association with outcomes appears to be stronger than that of other widely used parameters. For PD-L1-high patients, an ALI score >18 could assist the selection of cases that do not need addition of chemotherapy.
ALI is prognostic and predictive for patients with advanced NSCLC treated with immunotherapy monotherapy, but not chemo-immunotherapy. Its association with outcomes is stronger than that of other parameters (PD-L1 TPS, NLR, lung immune prognostic index, EPSILoN). For PD-L1-high patients, an ALI score >18 could assist the selection of cases that do not need addition of chemotherapy.

Abstract
We have determined the cause of an unusual C1 inhibitor abnormality in a large kindred. We previously found that half of serum C1 inhibitor molecules in affected kindred members are normal. The other half complexed with C1s but showed little complex formation with C1r. These molecules also appeared to be relatively resistant to digestion by trypsin. Taken together, the findings suggested that members of this kindred are heterozygous for an unusual C1 inhibitor mutation. Sequencing of genomic DNA from the kindred revealed that thymine has replaced cytosine in the codon for Ala443 (P2 residue) in one C1 inhibitor allele, resulting in substitution with a Val residue. To test the effect of this substitution, a mutant C1 inhibitor containing Ala443-->Val was constructed by site-directed mutagenesis and expressed in COS-1 cells. Both the Ala443-->Val mutant and the wild-type C1 inhibitor complexed completely with C1s, kallikrein, and coagulation Factor XIIa after incubation at 37 degrees C for 60 min. In contrast, the mutant inhibitor failed to complex completely with C1r under the same conditions. Time course analysis showed that the ability of the mutant to complex with C1s is also impaired: although it complexed completely in 60 min, the rate of complex formation during a 0-60-min incubation was decreased compared with wild-type C1 inhibitor. The mutant inhibitor also formed a complex with trypsin, a serine protease that cleaves, and is not inhibited by, wild-type C1 inhibitor. The Ala443-->Val mutation therefore converts C1 inhibitor from a substrate to an inhibitor of trypsin. These studies emphasize the role of the P2 residue in the determination of target protease specificity.

Abstract
A 33-year-old woman with T(4c)N(3) breast cancer with metastases in the skeleton (M(1)) received five cycles of 5-fluorouracil, epirubicin, and cyclophosphamide (FEC regimen) before conception and during the first trimester. Salvage radiotherapy (28 Gy) was delivered during the 17th week. Tamoxifen and zolendronic acid were also administered throughout the second and third trimesters. The patient was not aware of her pregnancy until the 28th week. A female phenotypically normal infant was delivered in the 35th week of gestation by cesarean section. The child is functioning normally 12 months after delivery. The literature of anthracycline treatment during conception and the first trimester is reviewed. The effects of tamoxifen and biphosphonate therapy on the fetus during pregnancy are also discussed.

Abstract
PURPOSE Previous studies have shown that serum levels of the degradation products of cytokeratins could be used as surrogate markers in the diagnosis and followup of patients with solid tumors, including tumors of the bladder. MATERIALS AND METHODS The soluble cytokeratin 19 fragment CYFRA 21-1 was measured by solid phase radioimmunoassay in the serum of 142 patients with invasive transitional cell cancer of the bladder. Of the patients 56 had clinical stage I to III locally confined disease (T1-4aN0M0) and 86 had stage IV metastatic disease with lymph node and/or distant metastases. A control group consisted of 33 healthy volunteers. In a subgroup of 49 patients with metastatic disease receiving combined platinum based chemotherapy serum CYFRA 21-1 was determined prior to the initiation of therapy and after the documentation of response. RESULTS Abnormal CYFRA 21-1 was observed in 7% of patients with locally invasive disease and in 66% of those with metastatic disease (p < 0.0001). There was no correlation of CYFRA 21-1 with tumor differentiation. Patients with abnormal CYFRA 21-1 showed statistically significant worse median overall survival. Moreover, in the subgroup of patients with metastatic disease receiving chemotherapy CYFRA 21-1 levels correlated with the response to treatment. CONCLUSIONS Patients with transitional cell cancer of the bladder with evidence of distant metastases showed a significant increase in serum CYFRA 21-1. During chemotherapy CYFRA 21-1 appears to be a potentially sensitive and useful indicator for monitoring treatment response.

Abstract
Although follicular lymphoma (FL) is generally responsive to conventional-dose chemotherapy, improved survival in patients with this disease has been difficult to demonstrate. High-dose chemo/radiotherapy followed by autologous stem-cell transplantation (ASCT) can improve response rates, although its effects on survival remain controversial. Between 1990 and 2003, we transplanted 49 patients with low-grade FL at our institution. Twenty-two patients (45%) had undergone histologic transformation at the time of ASCT. In all, 44 patients (90%) had relapsed disease and five patients (10%) were resistant to chemotherapy at the time of transplantation. After ASCT, 30 patients (61%) were in complete remission (CR). The median overall survival (OS) has not been reached, while the median event-free survival (EFS) is 2.4 years. At a median follow-up of 5.5 years (longest 12.4 years), a plateau has been reached with 56% of patients remaining alive, and 35% event-free. ASCT was well tolerated except for two (4%) treatment-related deaths. In multivariable analysis, CR after ASCT and age less than 60 years are the best predictors of EFS and OS. ASCT is thus a safe therapeutic approach in FL, resulting in long-term EFS and OS for some patients, even with transformed disease.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To assess the diagnostic utility of E-cadherin (E-cad), N-cadherin (N-cad) and CD44 to discriminate adenocarcinoma cells from benign and malignant mesothelial cells in body cavity fluids and to clarify the origin of cancer cells. STUDY DESIGN A total of 120 ThinPrep (Cytyc Corp., Boxborough, Massachusetts, U.S.A.) cytologic specimens of serous effusions, which included 22 cases of reactive mesothelium, 6 cases of malignant mesothelioma and 92 cases of metastatic adenocarcinoma from various sites, were immunostained for E-cad, N-cad and CD44. RESULTS Eighty-three of 92 metastatic adenocarcinomas (90.21%) expressed E-cad, while 1 of 6 malignant mesotheliomas and 1 of 22 cases of reactive mesothelium were positive for E-cad. All 6 cases of mesothelioma expressed N-cad, whereas most cases of metastatic adenocarcinomas were negative. CD44 immunoreactivity was seen in 18 of 22 (81.81%) benign effusions and in 21 of 92 (22.82%) metastatic adenocarcinomas. CONCLUSION The combination of E-cad, N-cad and CD44 appears to be a useful panel for distinguishing metastatic adenocarcinoma, mesothelioma and reactive mesothelium and also for clarifying the exact histogenetic origin of cancer cells. This is of great importance in a few otherwise-insoluble cases because of differences in tumor treatment and prognosis.

Abstract
A potential link between arsenic (ATO)-based therapy and delayed hematopoietic recovery after autologous hematopoietic SCT (HSCT) for acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) has previously been reported. We retrospectively reviewed the clinical histories of 58 patients undergoing autologous HSCT for APL at 21 institutions in the United States and Japan. Thirty-three (56%) of the patients received ATO-based therapy prior to stem cell collection. Delayed neutrophil engraftment occurred in 10 patients (17%): 9 of the 10 patients (90%) received prior ATO (representing 27% of all ATO-treated patients), compared with 1 of the 10 patients (10%) not previously treated with ATO (representing 4% of all ATO-naïve patients; P<0.001). Compared with ATO-naïve patients, ATO-treated patients experienced significantly longer times to ANC recovery (median 12 days vs 9 days, P<0.001). In multivariate analysis, the only significant independent predictor of delayed neutrophil engraftment was prior treatment with ATO (hazard ratio 4.87; P<0.001). Of the available stem cell aliquots from APL patients, the median viable post-thaw CD34+ cell recovery was significantly lower than that of cryopreserved autologous stem cell products from patients with non-APL AML. Our findings suggest that ATO exposure prior to CD34+ cell harvest has deleterious effects on hematopoietic recovery after autologous HSCT.

Abstract
The lip is estimated to be the most frequent location for carcinoma of the oral cavity. It occurs more frequently in men, especially those with a history of exposure to sunlight. Despite the usually effective management, regional and occasionally distant metastases do occur, especially in advanced stages. In this retrospective analysis of patients with labial carcinoma presenting with distant bone metastases in 1995-2003, the extremely limited number of patients did not allow for multivariate data analysis. From a cohort of 415 patients presenting with lip lesions, 186 cases were diagnosed as carcinoma and managed accordingly. Four patients (2.14%) showed distant bone metastases, one with concurrent axillary node metastasis. Patient demographics, tumour characteristics, case management and survival were evaluated. The distant metastasis patients were of clinical stages II-IV; initial management was wide local excision with reconstruction for all cases, with one undergoing concurrent neck dissection and one adjuvant radiotherapy. Time for distant bone metastasis was 9-21 months, subsequent survival 3-14 months and overall survival 13-35 months. Distant metastases from labial carcinoma are rare, not exceeding 2%. Metastasis to bone and axillary lymph nodes is exceptionally rare and can be attributed to either inadequate initial management or aggressive tumour behaviour.

Abstract
Information on bone loss in treated non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patients is limited. In this study, we used CT to analyze bone loss as well as prevalent and incident fractures. We found severe bone loss, a high rate of fractures, and a novel association between bone loss and the international prognostic index. INTRODUCTION To investigate bone loss and fracture risk in non-Hodgkin-lymphoma (NHL) patients by (i) comparing treatment-related vertebral density (VD) loss in NHL patients with control subjects and (ii) investigating associations of VD loss versus fracture risk. Further, associations of VD loss and clinical parameters were investigated. METHODS VD of 123 NHL patients was measured pre- and post-treatment in the L1, L2, and L3 vertebrae in routine computed tomography (CT) scans, performed between Jan 2016 and Mar 2017. Control measurements (n = 52) were obtained from CT colonographies between Sept 2003 and Sept 2017 and their subsequent follow-up-exams (10-137 months). Prevalent and incident (between baseline and follow-up) fractures were assessed in all subjects, and VD loss per year was calculated. Linear regression models were used to (i) compare VD loss between patients and controls and (ii) identify associations between VD loss and clinical parameters. Using logistic regression models, ORs for fractures per SD change in VD were assessed in patients. Analyses were adjusted for age, sex, and contrast application. RESULTS NHL patients experienced significantly greater VDL1-3 loss than controls (P = 0.003), and greater VDL1-3 loss was associated with a greater likelihood of incident fractures (OR, [95%-CI], P 1.90, [1.03, 3.51], 0.04). Patients with an initial international prognostic index (IPI) of 5 suffered significantly greater VD loss compared with an IPI of 0 (P = 0.01). CONCLUSION Using VD measurements in routine CT scans, substantial vertebral bone loss in NHL patients could be documented with a high incidence of fractures.

Abstract
It has already been established that the growth effects of growth hormone (GH) are mediated through insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I). Recent studies demonstrated a relationship between IGF-I levels and various types of cancer, namely colon, prostate, breast, brain and lung cancer. In addition, many experimental observations documented a participation of the IGF-I system in tumourigenesis through enhanced cell proliferation rate, anti-apoptotic functions and stimulation of neovascularization. With the present known biological mechanisms, implicated in the pathogenesis of testicular germ cell tumours (GCT), it is difficult to interpret the consistently increasing incidence of this tumour over the last decades. On the other hand, unpublished data of our department are in accordance with previous published studies, suggesting that GCT may be positively associated with body height. Scattered publications report development of GCT secondary to acromegaly or long-term GH replacement therapy. Thus, it is possible that the IGF-I system may be implicated in this pathogenesis, thereby predisposing to an increased risk of testicular GCTs. If IGF-I and IGFBP-3 are found to correlate with a high incidence of testicular GCT, they might be useful surrogate markers for diagnosis and surveillance of tumour growth, and an early screening method to identify an increased risk of this type of cancer in the first degree young male relatives of these patients.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare the activity and toxicity of an irinotecan (CPT-11), leucovorin (LV) and 5-fluorouracil (5FU) combination with a standard regimen of 5FU and LV, in patients with advanced colorectal carcinoma. One hundred and sixty patients were randomized; 80 patients (group A) received LV 20 mg/m(2) bolus i.v. and 5FU 425 mg/m(2) bolus i.v. on days 1-5, every 28 days; 80 patients (group B) received CPT-11 80 mg/m(2) (30-90 min i.v. infusion), followed by LV 20 mg/m(2) bolus i.v. and 5FU 425 mg/m(2) bolus i.v. on days 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and 36, every 8 weeks. The overall response rate was 30% and 47.5% in groups A and B respectively. Progression-free survival was significantly higher in the triple-drug combination arm (median 7.5 vs. 4.5 months; p= 0. 0335). However, overall survival did not differ significantly between the two arms (15 months vs. 14 months for the groups B and A respectively; p=0.3531). The main grade 3 adverse events were diarrhea (19%, in group A vs. 35% in group B; p=0.032) and mucositis (2% vs. 14%; p=0.017). The regimen containing irinotecan showed activity in advanced colorectal cancer. The overall safety data confirm this combination as a well-tolerated treatment.

Abstract
UNLABELLED It has been proposed that bisphosphonates cause osteonecrosis of the jaws through impairment of the monocyte population function and proliferation. Such changes have been confirmed in jaw tissues, ex vivo. In this clinical study, we report for the first time a similar pattern of changes in peripheral blood monocytes. INTRODUCTION The aim of this study is to examine the effect of zolendronic acid administration in the peripheral blood white cell population, seeking a plausible pathophysiological link between bisphosphonates and osteonecrosis of the jaw. METHODS Twenty-four breast cancer patients, under zolendronic acid treatment for bone metastasis, were included. Peripheral blood samples were obtained prior to and 48 h following zolendronic acid administration. Flow cytometry gated at leukocyte, monocyte, and the granulocyte populations for the CD4/CD8/CD3, CD3/CD16+56/CD45/CD19, CD14/CD123, and CD14/23 stainings were performed. RESULTS We were able to record a number of changes in the white cell populations after 48 h of zolendronic acid administration. Most importantly, in the monocyte populations, we were able to detect statistically significant increased populations of CD14+/CD23+ (p = 0.038), CD14+/CD23- (p = 0.028), CD14+/CD123+ (p = 0.070, trend), and CD14+/CD123- (p = 0.043). In contrast, statistically significant decreased populations of CD14-/CD23+ (p = 0.037) and CD14-/CD123+ (p = 0.003) were detected. CONCLUSIONS Our results provide evidence supporting the hypothesis that bisphosphonate administration modifies the monocyte-mediated immune response. An increase of CD14+ peripheral blood monocyte (PBMC) populations along with a decrease of CD14- PBMC populations has been recorded. The latter finding is in accordance with limited-currently existing-evidence and warrants further elucidation.

Abstract
Although malignant melanoma has a great propensity (38-50%) for cardiac involvement, as indicated by autopsy findings, cardiac metastases are rarely identified ante-mortem. The aim of this study was to record abnormal electrocardiographic and echocardiographic findings in patients with malignant melanoma. One hundred and eighty-five consecutive patients (male/female, 99/86; mean age, 59.6 years) with histologically proven malignant melanoma (American Joint Committee on Cancer stages II-IV), and with no known history of heart disease, were evaluated prospectively over a period of 11 years. The cardiologic findings considered were an unexpected delayed conduction of an electrical stimulus, recorded by high-resolution signal-averaged electrocardiogram (presence of ventricular late potentials), prolongation of the PR, QRS and QTc segments in a surface electrocardiogram, and abnormal Q waves. Echocardiographic findings comprised pericardial implantation/effusion or presence of intracavitary/intramyocardial metastases. Forty-one abnormal findings were recorded, pertaining to 38 of the 185 patients (19.5%). In particular, PR interval prolongation was found in eight patients (4.3%) and QTc interval prolongation in 11 (6%). Abnormal Q waves were recorded in five patients (2.7%). The filtered QRS interval was prolonged in seven patients (3.8%). Finally, echocardiographic examination showed discrete pericardial implantations and small to moderate pericardial effusion in six patients (3.2%) and intracavitary/intramyocardial metastases in four (2.1%). The median survival of these patients was 33 months (95% confidence interval, 19.9-46.1 months). It can be concluded that abnormal electrocardiographic and echocardiographic findings are recorded at the time of diagnosis of the disease in a significant percentage of patients with malignant melanoma.
