Abstract
BACKGROUND Missed nursing care is a global issue that refers to any aspect of patient care that is partially or entirely omitted or delayed. Although many studies have examined the relationship between missed nursing care and nurse job satisfaction, there is no synthesized evidence of these findings. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the relationship between missed nursing care and nurse job satisfaction. METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis was carried out by searching the following databases: Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCO, PubMed, Science Direct, Cochrane, and Springer Link. The risk of bias was assessed using the Quality Assessment and Validity Tool for Correlational Studies. A random-effects model was used in the meta-analysis. RESULTS Out of 13 619 identified reports, 8 studies involving 10 418 nurses were identified as eligible for the meta-analysis. A significant negative relationship between missed nursing care and nurse job satisfaction was identified, with the summary effect size of r = -0.294 (95% CI: -0.364 to -0.219, P < .001). CONCLUSIONS The meta-analysis presented evidence regarding the significance of missed care in influencing nurse job satisfaction. As missed nursing care decreases, nurses' job satisfaction may increase.

Abstract
AIM To evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to reduce nurses' burnout. DESIGN A systematic review and meta-analysis. METHODS The research was carried out using the following databases: MEDLINE, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, ULAKBİM Turkish National Database, Science Direct, and Web of Science. The study selection, quality assessments, and data extractions of the included studies were carried out by the researchers independently. The PRISMA checklist was used to assure the quality and transparency of the report. The risk of bias of the included studies was evaluated using the Cochrane Collaboration tool. The meta-analysis was performed using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) 3.0 software. RESULTS A total of 19 studies including 1139 nurses were included in the study. Of these, only 13 were included in the meta-analysis, as six contained incomplete data. Interventions aimed at reducing burnout in nurses were mostly person-directed interventions. The meta-analysis revealed that attempts to reduce burnout had a small effect on nurses' emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, and a moderate effect on their personal accomplishment. CONCLUSIONS Interventions are more effective at preventing the sense of personal accomplishment of nurses from decreasing. Evidence in the literature on organization-directed interventions and combined interventions to reduce burnout in nurses is limited. Person-directed interventions are effective at low and medium levels. In future studies, it will be more effective to implement combined interventions including both person-directed and organization-directed interventions to reduce the burnout of nurses.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study investigates the perceptions of nurses regarding work motivation factors. BACKGROUND Work motivation of nurses is of utmost importance so that patients may receive high-quality and effective nursing services as well as higher levels of care satisfaction. METHOD This descriptive study was conducted with nurses in a university hospital in Turkey. A personal information form and the motivation factors questionnaire form were used as data collection tools. Data analysis was conducted using mean, anova, t-test, Tukey test and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. RESULT Appreciation (mean 4.76) had the highest score among all the factors. It was also found that the respondents' perceptions regarding motivation varied significantly (P < 0.05) depending on their age, professional experience and institutional experience. No differences were found in the respondents' perceptions with respect to professional position (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION The results show that appreciation was perceived as the most effective factor by nurses. Furthermore, nurses' perception of the influence of motivation factors varied according to age, duration of professional experience and institutional experience. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING MANAGEMENT Nursing managers can maximise the potential of nurses by implementing appropriate motivation strategies. When developing suitable motivation strategies, they should consider age, duration of professional experience and institutional experience and monitor recent changes. It is strongly recommended that experimental studies are conducted and significant appreciation techniques analysed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Among the benefits of examining an organization's culture are the opportunity to understand the basic mechanisms of the institutional and structural procedures, to determine the need for change and to ensure the development and satisfaction of the faculty members. AIM To determine the perceptions of faculty members of organizational culture at nursing schools in Turkey and to examine different perceptions in relation to demographic variables. METHOD The study was conducted with 180 faculty members from seven nursing schools in state universities located in different geographical regions of Turkey that granted permission for the study. All faculty members in these schools with at least 1 year of institutional experience were included in the research. No sampling was required. A demographic information form and an organizational culture scale were used as data collection materials. The organizational culture scale contains 30 items and resolves the organizational culture in three dimensions. The minimum score obtained was 1 and the maximum was 5. FINDINGS The mean score for faculty members' in total scale was 3.40 (SD = 0.68), while it was 3.26 (SD = 0.77) for the management style dimension, 3.39 (SD = 0.73) for the organizational commitment/relations dimension and 3.68 (SD = 0.73) for the student-oriented dimension. There was no statistical difference between the perception of organizational culture and work experience at the institution, marital status or educational status, but there were differences in age, number of years in the profession and academic titles. CONCLUSION It was found that strong perceptions have been established in nursing schools in regard to student-oriented practices, and that groups consisting of senior academic personnel and experienced academicians are considered to be better at perceiving the importance of the organizational culture. The administrators are recommended to promote policies to enhance the participation in decision-making processes and regularly monitor the cultural changes in the organization.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Unless conflicts between the students and the instructors can be successfully managed, they will certainly result in negative outcomes for the students. The conflict management styles of the students should be recognized in detail in order to attain positive outcomes in regard to the conflict management styles. AIM The purpose of this study was to examine the conflict management styles used by nursing students in conflict with faculty members and the differences in use of style from the aspect of some variables. METHODS This study was conducted with 151 students in a public university nursing school. Data were collected using a personal information form and the Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory II (ROCI II). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Tukey test, Kruskal Wallis test, Mann-Whitney U test and Cronbach alpha coefficient analyses. FINDINGS The students were found to use integrating (X=3.82) and obliging (X=3.81) styles the most, and dominating style (X=3.02) the least. In addition there were differences determined in management style between classes, frequency of experiencing conflict, and feeling of success in the conflict (p<0.05). It was determined that the integrating and obliging styles were used more by those who evaluated themselves as successful in conflict management, but the avoiding and compromising styles were used more by students who evaluated themselves as unsuccessful. CONCLUSIONS It was determined that the students preferred to use styles that produced positive results in conflict resolution and that the frequency of experiencing conflict and the feeling of success in conflict had an effect on choice of style. It will be helpful to analyze the relationship between the causes of conflict between the student and the instructor in the practice field and the uses of conflict management styles.

Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the conflict management styles used by nurse managers when in conflict with nurses and to ascertain the differences between sociodemographic characteristics and the style used. The study was conducted on 71 nurse managers working in 3 different hospitals in Antalya (Turkey). A personal information form and Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory II were used for data collection. The most commonly used style by nurse managers when in conflict was integrating, and the least commonly used was avoiding. There was no difference between the style used and the nurses' educational status, marital status, and years of employment. The obliging style was used the most by those 45 years and older and those with 20 years or more of management experience, whereas the avoiding style was used by nurse managers with 6 to 10 years of management experience. This study suggests that nurse managers who are older and have management experience need to be encouraged to use effective conflict management and that there is a need for further research of the subject of factors that affect conflict management style.
