Abstract
Background:Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP), also known as rheumatic purpura, is an immune complex vasculitis affecting small vessels with dominant IgA deposits. Clinical manifestations mainly involve cutaneous purpura, arthralgias and/or arthritis, acute enteritis and glomerulonephritis. HSP is more common among children than adults. Kidney damage is the principal prognostic determinant in HSP. The aim of this study is to evaluate the renal manifestations of HSP.Objectives:The aim of this study is to evaluate the renal manifestations of HSP.Methods:This was a retrospective study of 35 patients with diagnosed HSA, who were admitted between the time period may 2008 and november 2018. All of these patients met the American College of Rheumatology classification criteria for a diagnosis of HSP. Renal involvement was defined as the presence of proteinuria or hematuria. Results:The study group consisted of 35 patients, 20 women (57%) and 15 men (43%). The mean age was 48.8± 18.7 years. The incidence rates of skin, joint, gastrointestinal and central nervous system involvement were 91.4, 77.1, 54.2 and 2.8%, respectively. Elevated serum IgA levels occurred in 5.7 %. Six patients (17.1%) were given corticosteroids during the first 3 months of their HSP, which were indicated for severe gastrointestinal (n=5) or renal involvement (n=1). Eighteen of the thirty five patients (51.42%) had renal involvement. There were 12 women and six men. All patients had proteinuria (100%). Hematuria has been identified in 11 patients (61.1%) and renal insufficiency in 4 patients (22.2%). The renal involvement was mainly detected in the first month. Renal biopsy was affected in four patients (22.2%). An endocapillary glomerulonephritis was found in 3 patients and an extra capillary necrotizing glomerulonephritis in one patient. The immunofluorescence showed the presence of IgA deposits in 4 patients. Conclusion:Renal involvement dominates the prognosis for the disease. The most common clinical expression is the association of microscopic hematuria with proteinuria.Disclosure of Interests:None declared

Abstract
INTRODUCTION In Mauritania, only an investigation carried out 26 years ago allows to report epidemiological findings about tinea capitis in Nouakchott. The objective of this study was to reactualize the tinea capitis epidemiological, clinical and mycological profile in school children and to compare this profile in urban and rural area. PATIENTS AND METHODS All subscribed students in targeted schools and present during the investigation were examined clinically before samples collection. Mycological diagnosis was made by direct examination and culture in Sabouraud Dextrose Agar with chloramphenicol and supplemented with cycloheximide. The results were considered positive when culture with the presence of dermatophytes was obtained. RESULTS Prevalence of tinea capitis among school children was 10.50% and it was more important in rural area (12.21%) than in urban area (9.52%). The age group ranged between 6 and 8 years was the most affected (13.58%). According to the gender, male (11.46%) were more affected than female (9.62%). Trichophytic tinea were predominant and Trichophyton soudanense was more isolated followed by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton schoenleinii and Microsporum audouinii.

Impact of ultrasounds and high voltage electrical discharges on physico-chemical properties of rapeseed straw's lignin and pulps. Bioresour Technol 2017; 237:11-19. Abstract
In this study, ultrasound (US) and high voltage electrical discharges (HVED) were combined with chemical treatments (soda or organosolv) for rapeseed straw delignification. Delignification was improved by both physical pretreatments. US increased the extractability of hemicelluloses and HVED induced a partial degradation of cellulose. Best synergies were observed for HVED-soda and US-organosolv treatments. The obtained lignin fractions were characterized with 13C NMR and 2D 1H-13C HSQC. It was observed that the physical treatments affected the syringyl/guaiacyl (S/G) ratios. The values of S/G were ≈1.19, 1.31 and 1.75 for organosolv, HVED-organosolv and US-organosolv processes, suggesting recondensation reactions. The lignin fractions obtained from HVED-organosolv treatment contained less quantity of p-coumaric acid and ferulic acid as compared to those extracted by US-organosolv. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) revealed a better heat resistance of physically extracted lignins as compared to the control. The enzymatic digestibility increased by 24.92% when applying HVED to mild organosolv treatment.

Abstract
The authors report 78 cases of pregnancy in women with heart disease during a 4 year period (1985-1988). Heart disease involved a rheumatic valve lesion in 90 per cent of cases. Heart disease was properly monitored in these patients (74.5 per cent) but the pregnancy in only 50 per cent of cases. These patients gave birth to 78 newborn infants. Labour was premature in 15.38 per cent of cases. Labour was of short duration: less than 6 hours (73 per cent of cases). There was only delivery by cesarean section. Bleeding at the time of delivery was common (12.4 per cent of cases). There were two maternal deaths during the post-partum period (2.56 per cent). Essential risks to the newborn included low birth weight (17.5 per cent) and prematurity (15.38 per cent). Neonatal mortality was 2.5 per cent.
