Abstract
Tinnitus, vertigo and dizziness are symptoms commonly reported among Long and Post COVID patients, however the severity of these symptoms has not been assessed in large trials. Therefore, in this study a large cohort of Long COVID patients was surveyed about the presence and severity of tinnitus and vertigo or dizziness symptoms. The online survey was completed by a German cohort of 1,082 adult Long COVID patients after a mean period of 43.2 weeks ± 23.4 weeks after infection. Eighty percent were not fully vaccinated (at least two vaccinations) at the time of their first COVID symptoms and 9.8% were hospitalized in the course of their acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. At the time of the survey, 60% of patients reported the presence of vertigo or dizziness with a mean severity of 4.6 ± 2.7 on a scale of 1 (least severe) to 10 (most severe) and 30% complained of tinnitus with a mean severity of 4.8 ± 3.0. Approximately one fifth of the participants with tinnitus and vertigo or dizziness, rated their symptoms to be severe. The data shown in this study confirms that tinnitus and vertigo or dizziness are common symptoms in Long COVID patients and demonstrates, that a compelling number of patients rate their symptoms as severe. The self-reported severity highlights the need for Long COVID clinics to address these symptoms effectively. We suggest a multidisciplinary diagnostic and therapeutic approach to prevent further morbidity and socioeconomic burden for Long COVID patients suffering from severe vertigo, dizziness or tinnitus.

Abstract
N-Acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) is an endogenous cysteine metabolite. The drug is widely used in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and as antidote in acetaminophen (paracetamol) intoxication. Currently, the utility of NAC is investigated in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), which is generally considered associated with inflammation and oxidative stress. Besides clinical laboratory parameters, the effects of NAC are evaluated by measuring in plasma or serum nitrite, nitrate or their sum (NOx) as measures of nitric oxide (NO) synthesis. Malondialdehyde (MDA) and relatives such as 4-hydroxy-nonenal and 15(S)-8-iso-prostaglandin F2α serve as measures of oxidative stress, notably lipid peroxidation. In this work, we review recent clinico-pharmacological studies on NAC in rheumatoid arthritis. We discuss analytical, pre-analytical and clinical issues and their potential impact on the studies outcome. Major issues include analytical inaccuracy due to interfering endogenous substances and artefactual formation of MDA and relatives during storage in long-term studies. Differences in the placebo and NAC groups at baseline with respect to these biomarkers are also a serious concern. Modern applied sciences are based on data generated using commercially available instrumental physico-chemical and immunological technologies and assays. The publication process of scientific work rarely undergoes rigorous peer review of the analytical approaches used in the study in terms of accuracy/trueness. There is pressing need of considering previously reported reference concentration ranges and intervals as well as specific critical issues such as artefactual formation of particular biomarkers during sample storage. The latter especially applies to surrogate biomarkers of oxidative stress, notably MDA and relatives. Reported data on NO, MDA and clinical parameters, including C-reactive protein, interleukins and tumour necrosis factor α, are contradictory in the literature. Furthermore, reported studies do not allow any valid conclusion about utility of NAC in RA. Administration of NAC patients with rheumatoid arthritis is not recommended in current European and American guidelines.

Abstract
Objective: The digitalization of the healthcare system poses new challenges for physicians. Thus, the relevance of learning digital competencies (DiCo), such as dealing with data sets, apply telemedicine or using apps, is already growing in medical education. DiCo should be clearly separated from digitized teaching formats, which have been increasingly used since the COVID 19 pandemic. This article outlines the faculties in Germany where DiCo are already integrated into medical education. Methods: Courses with DiCo as teaching content were collected by a literature research on Pubmed and Google as well as by contacting all dean's offices and other persons responsible for teaching at German medical faculties. The courses were summarized in a table. Results: In a first survey, 16 universities were identified that offer courses on DiCo. In the elective area at the universities, 17 courses and in the compulsory area eight courses could be identified. The scope and content of the courses diverged between compulsory curricula, integrated courses of different lengths, and elective courses that are one-time or longitudinally integrated. The topics taught are heterogeneous and include fundamentals of medical informatics such as data management on the one hand and a collection of e.g. ethics, law, apps, artificial intelligence, telemedicine and robotics on the other hand. Conclusion: Currently, only some German medical faculties offer courses on DiCo. These courses vary in scope and design. They are frequently part of the elective curriculum and only reach some of the students. The possibility of embedding DiCo in the already existing cross-sectional area appears limited. In view of the ongoing digitalization of healthcare, it is necessary to make future courses on DiCo accessible to all medical students. In order to drive this expansion forward, the implementation of the new learning objectives catalogue, in which DiCo are integrated, a network formation, a teaching qualification as well as the involvement of students is recommended.

Abstract
In this study, we investigated the status of amino acids, their post-translational modifications (PTM), major nitric oxide (NO) metabolites and of malondialdehyde (MDA) as a biomarker of oxidative stress in serum and urine samples of long COVID (LoCo, n = 124) and ex COVID (ExCo, n = 24) human subjects collected in 2022. Amino acids and metabolites were measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) methods using stable-isotope labelled analogs as internal standards. There were no differences with respect to circulating and excretory arginine and asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA). LoCo participants excreted higher amounts of guanidino acetate than ExCo participants (17.8 ± 10.4 µM/mM vs. 12.6 ± 8.86 µM/mM, P = 0.005). By contrast, LoCo participants excreted lower amounts of the advanced glycation end-product (AGE) NG-carboxyethylarginine (CEA) than ExCo participants did (0.675 ± 0.781 µM/mM vs. 1.16 ± 2.04 µM/mM, P = 0.0326). The serum concentrations of MDA did not differ between the groups, indicating no elevated oxidative stress in LoCo or ExCo. The serum concentration of nitrite was lower in LoCo compared to ExCo (1.96 ± 0.92 µM vs. 2.56 ± 1.08 µM; AUC, 0.718), suggesting altered NO synthesis in the endothelium. The serum concentration of nitrite correlated inversely with the symptom anxiety (r = - 0.293, P = 0.0003). The creatinine-corrected urinary excretion of Lys and its metabolite L-5-hydroxy-Lys correlated positively with COVID toes (r = 0.306, P = 0.00027) and sore throat (r = 0.302, P = 0.0003). Our results suggest that amino acid metabolism, PTM and oxidative stress are not severely affected in long COVID. LoCo participants may have a lower circulating NO reservoir than ExCo.

Abstract
Introduction Hearing loss is one of the self-reported symptoms of Long COVID patients, however data from objective and subjective audiological tests demonstrating diminished hearing in Long COVID patients has not been published. Materials and methods Respondents of a large Long COVID online survey were invited to the ENT-department for an otologic exam. The participants were split into three groups based on their history of SARS-CoV-2 infection and persistence of symptoms. Respondents with a history of a SARS-CoV-2 infection were allocated to the Long COVID group, if they reported persistent symptoms and to the Ex COVID group, if they had regained their previous level of health. Participants without a history of SARS-CoV-2 infection made up the No COVID control group. In total, 295 ears were examined with otoscopy, tympanograms, pure tone audiometry and otoacoustic emissions. Ears with known preexisting hearing loss or status post ear surgery, as well as those with abnormal otoscopic findings, non-type A tympanograms or negative Rinne test were excluded. Results Compared to the No COVID and Ex COVID groups, we did not find a clinically significant difference in either hearing thresholds or frequency specific TEOAEs. However, at 500 Hz the data from the left ear, but not the right ear showed a significantly better threshold in the Ex COVID group, compared to Long COVID and No COVID groups. Any of the other tested frequencies between 500 Hz and 8 kHz were not significantly different between the different groups. There was a significantly lower frequency-specific signal-to-noise-ratio of the TEOAEs in the Long COVID compared to the No COVID group at 2.8 kHz. At all other frequencies, there were no significant differences between the three groups in the TEOAE signal-to-noise-ratio. Conclusion This study detected no evidence of persistent cochlear damage months after SARS-CoV-2 infection in a large cohort of Long COVID patients, as well as those fully recovered.

Abstract
Background With population-wide vaccination availability, the global COVID-19 pandemic entered a new phase. Despite vaccination status, some people who were infected with SARS-CoV-2 experience long-term symptoms. Objective In this study, we aim to characterize the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection and the pandemic. We also aim to build symptom clusters and determine risk factors for developing long COVID symptoms. Furthermore, we assess social participation and health-related quality of life in patients with long COVID and in the general population during a global pandemic. Methods With a mixed-methods, web-based approach, we aim to recruit 2000 people in Germany who are older than 18 years and can provide informed consent. In the quantitative arm of the study, we identify symptoms of and predictive factors for long COVID manifestations with cluster analysis and assess social participation during the pandemic with standardized questionnaires. The qualitative arm of the study uses individual interviews and focus group discussions to better understand the illness experience of persons who experience long COVID. Results Recruitment started in September 2021. Up until July 2022, we recruited approximately 4500 participants via our web-based database. Conclusions This study aims to build an innovative, patient-centered, web-based research platform appropriate for the pandemic by minimizing physical contact between study personnel and participants. All study activities are designed to better understand the long COVID syndrome, social participation during the pandemic, and the illness experiences of persons affected by long COVID. Abstract
BACKGROUND Worldwide educational programs face the challenge how to define and integrate digital competencies in medical education. This article describes the implementation of learning outcomes with respect to digital competencies in the compulsory curriculum at Hannover Medical School (MHH). METHODS An interdisciplinary MHH project group was constituted consisting of physicians and experts in medical informatics and in curriculum development. Over the course of 7 work sessions the group compared different international and national frameworks dealing with digital competencies for physicians. By a consensus driven approach the working group drew up a collection of learning outcomes which were regarded relevant to be incorporated in the curriculum at MHH. RESULTS The analysis of different frameworks indicated that data literacy is a central domain within all viewed preexisting catalogs. During the course of the project group analysis, 57 learning outcomes with respect to digital competencies were identified as necessary to be integrated in the compulsory curriculum. They were divided in 5 main categories: "handling of medical data," "the digital infrastructure of the health system," "scope of application: usage in patient care and in the field of preventive medicine," "medico-legal and ethical basics," and "transformation processes in medicine due to digitalization." CONCLUSIONS The MHH project group concluded that medical students should be taught digital competencies that enable an understanding of underlying functional principles of digital systems rather than their correct utilization. The presented project indicates that a close interdisciplinary collaboration of physicians and medical informaticians can be a promising approach to incorporate digital competencies in the undergraduate medical curriculum.

Abstract
Since living kidney donors have repeatedly been shown to be mentally more healthy compared to the general population, they might also exhibit more adaptive personality characteristics. We investigated the personality traits of 315 living kidney donors (202 female and 113 male donors) on average 7.1 years after donation using the NEO-Five Factor Inventory, a frequently used personality inventory measuring the "big five" dimensions of personality (neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness). In addition, levels of depression, anxiety, and fatigue were assessed with the Patient Health Questionnaire-Depression Scale, GAD-7, and Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory. Kidney donors showed more adaptive personality traits with higher agreeableness and lower neuroticism scores compared to the German general population. This was even more pronounced in living kidney donors with a high motivation to donate again (non-regreters). Scores for depression, anxiety, and fatigue did not differ from general population values and were significantly correlated with most personality dimensions. The more adaptive personality characteristics of living kidney donors might either be a selection effect or the consequence of the experience of donation and improved health of the close relative. Regardless of the causal relationship, adaptive personality traits might positively influence both physical and psychosocial well-being of the donor. Longitudinal studies should investigate if living donation might lead to persistent adaptive changes in personality traits.

Abstract
Due to organ shortage, living kidney donation is gaining increasing importance. Medical progress enables a successful transplantation between unrelated individuals, even individuals with AB0-incompatibilities. Spouses are the largest group of living kidney donors. The aim of this study was to assess partnership status and partnership satisfaction in living kidney donors. In the cross-sectional study we investigated 361 living kidney donors. The time since donation ranged between 1 and 38 years. The partnership satisfaction was assessed with the German version of the Quality of Marriage Index. We compared the donor sample with a representative German population sample (n = 1995). In addition, we compared donors who have donated to their partner (spouse donors) to those who have donated to someone else (non-spouse donors). In comparison to the population sample significantly more kidney donors were living in a relationship (82 vs. 60%). Most donors reported an unchanged (76.6%) or improved (20.5%) relationship to the recipient since transplantation. A significantly higher partnership satisfaction could be found in the donor sample compared to the population sample which was mainly due to a higher partnership satisfaction of the spouse donors compared to the non-spouse donors. High partnership satisfaction in living kidney donors might be an indicator for a successful selection process before transplantation. Alternatively, kidney donation might have a stabilizing or even positive impact on the partnership. Due to the design of our study causative interpretations cannot be made. Therefore, prospective studies are required to assess partnership satisfaction before and after living kidney donation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Patients who are post-COVID-19 will require more treatment soon. Therefore, it is important to understand the root cause of their psychological and somatic conditions. Previous studies showed contradictory results on the influence of pre-existing mental conditions. The present study examines the influence of these pre-existing conditions and their pre-treatment on the severity of post-COVID-19 symptoms. METHODS This analysis employs questionnaire data from a large study sample in Germany. Overall, 801 participants were included. All participants rated their health status on a scale from 0 to 100. Fatigue, depression, and anxiety were measured using the FAS, PHQ-9, and GAD-7 scales. RESULTS All pre-pandemic values showed no significant differences between the groups. The current health status was rated similarly by the recovered patients (μ = 80.5 ± 17.0) and the control group (μ = 81.2 ± 18.0) but significantly worse by acutely infected (μ = 59.0 ± 21.5) and post-COVID-19 patients (μ = 54.2 ± 21.1). Fatigue, depression, and anxiety were similar for recovered patients and the control group. By contrast, there were significant differences between the control and the post-COVID-19 groups concerning fatigue (45.9% vs. 93.1%), depression (19.3% vs. 53.8%), and anxiety (19.3% vs. 22.3%). CONCLUSION Fatigue and psychological conditions of post-COVID-19 patients are not associated with pre-existing conditions.

Abstract
The increasing digitalization of medicine stressed the importance of teaching digital competencies in undergraduate medical education. However, in many medical curricula in Germany, medical informatics is underrepresented. Due the upcoming reorganization of medical undergraduate education in Germany, topics previously assigned to medical informatics represent curricular challenges for all medical disciplines. Against this background, experiences from the project DigiWissMed show how medical informatics can support the teaching of digital competencies in all disciplines of medical education. Therefore, interdisciplinary teaching teams of medical informatics professionals and physicians were formed. In different academic years, this teaching teams jointly designed and implemented new seminars to convey digital competencies. The seminars covers topics such as technology acceptance, telemedicine and assistive health care related to the medical specialty. So, in the project DigiWissMed, the practicability and usefulness of interdisciplinary teaching teams to convey digital competencies could be demonstrate. In the digitalization process of medicine, medical informatics plays a key role. For future-proof medical education, experts of this field should be involved in teaching digital competencies, too.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic impacted how people perform their daily lives in manifold and sometimes massive ways. Particularly, individuals who are at high risk for a severe disease progression, like immunocompromised people, may have experienced drastic changes in social participation during the pandemic. A COVID-19 basic vaccination may have changed the safety behavior of immunocompromised individuals in terms of infection risk and thereby influence social participation and mental wellbeing. METHODS This study aims to investigate self-perceived social participation at baseline before and at follow-up 1 and 6 months after basic vaccination. Beginning in March 2021, 274 immunocompromised persons 18 years or older were enrolled in the COVID-19 Contact Immune study (CoCo study) in Lower Saxony, Germany. Measurements were performed at three time points regarding social participation [Index for the Assessment of Health Impairments (IMET)], mental health [Patient Health Questionnaire-4 (PHQ-4)], subjective health status (five-point Likert-scale) and quality of life (five-point Likert-scale). RESULTS In total, 126 participants were included in the final analysis. About 60% of the participants showed increasing social participation over time. The greatest increase in social participation was observed within the first month after basic vaccination (p < 0.001). During the following 5 months, social participation remained stable. The domains "social activities," "recreation and leisure" and "close personal relationships" were responsible for the overall change in social participation. No association was found between social participation and mental health, sociodemographic or medical factors (except hypertension). DISCUSSION It is unclear why social participation increased after basic vaccination. Perceived vaccine efficacy and a feeling of being protected by the vaccine may have caused relaxed social distancing behaviors. Reducing safety behaviors may, however, increase the risk of a COVID-19 infection for immunocompromised individuals. Further investigations are needed to explore the health-related consequences of more social participation among immunocompromised persons.

Abstract
Objective: During the early Covid 19 pandemic, undergraduate medical teaching of pediatric medicine had to be switched to online teaching at the Hanover Medical School (MHH). The aim was to develop an online module together with students. Methodology: In a multi-stage process, a working group consisting of lecturers and students developed the concept and implemented it. Afterwards the online module was evaluated. Results: The conceptualization process and the implementation of the module together with students can be represented as a modified PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act). We showed that including students in the development of an online module is helpful in times of limited resources e.g. such as personnel and time. Conclusion: The cooperation between students and lecturers is suitable for developing and implementing an online module in a short time. In the future, in addition to joint conceptualization phases, digital elements (e.g. preparatory webinars) for the module itself in attendance phases should be retained.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Nectin-4 contributes to tumor proliferation, lymphangiogenesis and angiogenesis in malignant tumors and is an emerging target in tumor therapy. In renal cell carcinoma (RCC) VEGF-directed tyrosine kinase inhibitors and checkpoint inhibitors are currently treatments of choice. Enfortumab vedotin-ejf (EV) is an antibody drug conjugate that targets Nectin-4. The aim of our study was to investigate the expression of Nectin-4 in a large cohort of papillary RCC specimens. PATIENTS AND METHODS Specimens were derived from the PANZAR consortium (Erlangen, Heidelberg, Herne, Homburg, Mainz, Mannheim, Marburg, Muenster, LMU Munich, TU Munich, and Regensburg). Clinical data and tissue samples from n = 190 and n = 107 patients with type 1 and 2 pRCC, respectively, were available. Expression of Nectin-4 was determined by immunohistochemistry (IHC). RESULTS In total, Nectin-4 staining was moderately or strongly positive in of 92 (48.4%) of type 1 and 39 (36.4%) type 2 of pRCC cases. No associations between Nectin-4 expression and age at diagnosis, gender, grading, and TNM stage was found. 5 year overall survival rate was not statistically different in patients with Nectin-4 negative versus Nectin-4 positive tumors for the overall cohort and the pRCC type 2 subgroup, but higher in patient with Nectin-4 positive pRCC type 1 tumors compared to Nectin-4 negative tumors (81.3% vs. 67.8%, p = 0.042). CONCLUSION Nectin-4 could not be confirmed as a prognostic marker in pRCC in general. Due to its high abundance on pRCC specimens Nectin-4 is an interesting target for therapeutical approaches e.g. with EV. Clinical trials are warranted to elucidate its role in the pRCC treatment landscape.

Abstract
Background Immunocompromised people (ICP) and elderly individuals (older than 80 years) are at increased risk for severe coronavirus infections. To protect against serious infection with SARS-CoV-2, ICP are taking precautions that may include a reduction of social contacts and participation in activities which they normally enjoy. Furthermore, for these people, there is an uncertainty regarding the effectiveness of the vaccination. The COVID-19 Contact (CoCo) Immune study strives to characterize the immune response to COVID-19 vaccination in immunocompromised, elderly people, and patients with hematological or oncological diseases. The study uses blood-based screenings to monitor the humoral and cellular immune response in these groups after vaccination. Questionnaires and qualitative interviews are used to describe the level of social participation. Methods The CoCo Immune Study is a mixed methods prospective, longitudinal, observational study at two large university hospitals in Northern Germany. Starting in March 2021, it monitors anti-SARS-CoV-2 immune responses and collects information on social participation in more than 600 participants, at least 18 years old. Inclusion criteria and subcohorts: Participants with (1) regularly intake of immunosuppressive medication (ICP-cohort) or (2) age ≥ 80 years (80 + -cohort). Additionally, patients with current or former (3) myeloid, (4) lymphatic disease or (5) solid tumor under checkpoint inhibition (3–5: HO-cohort). Exclusion criteria: (1) refusal to give informed consent, (2) contraindication to blood testing, (3) inability to declare consent. Participants complete a questionnaire at four different time points: prior to full vaccination, and 1, 6 and 12 months after completed vaccination. In addition, participants draw blood samples themselves or through a local health care provider and send them with their questionnaires per post at the respective time points after vaccination. Patients of the HO cohort dispense additional blood samples at week 3 to 12 and at month 6 to 9 after 2nd vaccination to gain additional knowledge in B and T cell responses. Selected participants are invited to qualitative interviews about social participation. Discussion This observational study is designed to gain insight into the immune response of people with weakened immune systems and to find out how social participation is affected after COVID-19 vaccination. Abstract
Immunocompromised persons are at an increased risk for a severe SARS-CoV-2 infection and their safety behaviors may influence their social participation. Vaccinated persons have a lower incidence of infection and severe disease when infected compared to non-vaccinated persons. Therefore, their behavior may change and their social participation may increase after a complete vaccination. The aim of this study was to explore social participation of immunocompromised persons before and after complete COVID-19 vaccination. Between March and September 2021, 274 immunocompromised participants were recruited. Survey data were collected at baseline and follow-up from 194 participants including the Index for the Assessment of Health Impairments [IMET], Patient Health Questionnaire-4 [PHQ-4], subjective health status and quality of life. At baseline, participants were not yet completely vaccinated. Complete vaccination was achieved prior to the follow-up questionnaire. IMET scores decreased significantly at follow-up, indicating a higher social participation after complete vaccination. PHQ-4, subjective health status and quality of life did not differ between baseline and follow-up. There were no significant differences across sociodemographic factors. Significant PHQ-4 differences were observed regarding the population size of the participants' home community. Social participation of immunocompromised persons in our study increased after COVID-19 vaccination. Therefore, social participation should be explored further, especially with regards to the impact of vaccination on groups with a high health risk.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Overexpression of tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 2 (Trop2) is found in many tumor entities. The prognostic value of Trop2 in renal cell renal carcinoma (RCC), especially in non-clear cell RCC, is still unclear. AIM To evaluate the prognostic impact of Trop2 expression in a large cohort of patients with chromophobe (ch)RCC. MATERIAL AND METHODS Patients who underwent renal surgery due to chRCC were retrospectively evaluated. Tumor specimen were analyzed for Trop2 expression by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS 81 chRCC patients were eligible for analysis, of these 24 (29.6%) patients were positive for Trop2. No significant associations were found for Trop2 expression and clinical attributes in patients with chRCC. Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed no differences in 5-year overall survival for Trop2- compared to Trop2+ (89.6% versus 100.0%; p=0.288). CONCLUSION In chRCC Trop2 expression is not associated with survival and other parameters of aggressiveness. Due to the rare incidence of chRCC further studies with larger cohorts are warranted.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Immunogenicity of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines is modestly impaired in cancer patients due to a generally weakened immune system. Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors (ICI) are expected to enhance immune response. This has already been described to be the case in influenza vaccines and first data about COVID-19 vaccines show a trend in this direction. AIM We aimed to investigate the immune response of patients with melanoma under ICI therapy after COVID-19 vaccination. PATIENTS AND METHODS In the Skin Cancer Center Hanover (Germany) we recruited 60 patients with advanced melanoma who either received ICI therapy during or before the vaccination period. Serological blood analysis was performed using quantitative ELISA for Anti SARS CoV-2 spike protein 1 IgG antibodies. RESULTS We did not observe an enhanced humoral immune response in patients under active or past ICI therapy after COVID-19 vaccination. Nevertheless, there is a tendency of higher antibody levels when ICI therapy was received within the last six months before vaccination. Subgroup analysis revealed that patients in our study population under ongoing targeted therapy during vaccination period had significantly higher median antibody levels than patients without any active antitumor treatment. CONCLUSION Melanoma patients under ICI therapy show comparable antibody response after SARS CoV-2 vaccination to healthy health care professionals. This finding is independent of the timing of ICI therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The tyrosine-protein kinase c-Met plays a decisive role in numerous cellular processes, as a proto-oncogene that supports aggressive tumor behavior. It is still unknown whether c-Met could be relevant for prognosis of papillary RCC (pRCC). PATIENTS AND METHODS Specimen collection were a collaboration of the PANZAR consortium. Patients' medical history and tumor specimens were collected from n=197 and n=110 patients with type 1 and 2 pRCC, respectively. Expression of cMET was determined by immunohistochemistry (IHC). RESULTS In total, cMET staining was evaluable in of 97/197 type 1 and 63/110 type 2 of pRCC cases. Five-years overall survival reviled no significant difference in dependence of cMET positivity (cMET- vs. cMET+: pRCC type 1: 84.8 % vs. 80.3 %, respectively (p=0.303, log-rank); type 2: 71.4 % vs. 64.4 % respectively (p= 0.239, log-rank)). Interestingly, the subgroup analyses showed a significant difference for cMET expression in T stage and metastases of the pRCC type 2 (p=0.014, p=0.022, chi-square). The cMET positive type 2 collective developed more metastases compared to the cMET negative cohort (pRCC Typ 2 M+: cMET-: 2 (4.3%) vs. cMET+: 12 (19%)). CONCLUSION CMET expression did not qualify as a prognostic marker in pRCC for overall survival.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Measures used to contain the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have impaired the social participation of many people. Especially people with chronic or oncologic conditions were affected. In this observational study, we aimed to assess social participation in melanoma patients with immune checkpoint therapy. Therefore, we investigated social participation in a very specific group and consider this a basis for further studies in a growing collective of long-term survivors in an era of infectious diseases. MATERIALS AND METHODS Cross-sectional assessment via the index to measure social participation and health associated quality of life ("Index zur Messung von Einschränkungen der Teilhabe", IMET). Results are compared with published norm data. RESULTS In all, 47 melanoma patients (mean age 58.5 years, standard deviation 13.2) were included: 18 patients had advanced melanoma stage III and received adjuvant Immunotherapy, while 29 patients were treated because of metastatic melanoma (stage IV). Results of the IMET showed no significant impairments in social participation when regarding the total score and when being compared to prepandemic norm data. Female patients did have significantly impaired participation. CONCLUSION The endpoints health-related quality of life and social participation are important in long-term survivors with melanoma. During the pandemic, women of our collective were especially at risk for impairment of social participation. Differences between pandemic and disease-specific influences on social participation cannot be derived from our data. Nevertheless, this study will be part of growing and necessary research on long-term cancer survivors diseases.

Abstract
Background The National Competence-Based Catalogue of Learning Objectives for Undergraduate Medical Education (NKLM) serves as the foundation for curricular development in undergraduate medical education in Germany. A new version of the NKLM was launched in 2021, and medical faculties are now evaluating the learning objectives (LOs). This paper describes the evaluation process used at Hannover Medical School. Methods The evaluation process was structured in three steps. LOs were rated as "keep", "modify" or "delete". First, the 1133 LOs were compared with the mapping of the Hannover curriculum from 2017. Then, a small team from the Curricular Development Department conducted a pre-evaluation of the 1133 LOs. Finally, a group of clinical experts and students discussed and agreed on the ratings. Results For 868 LOs, one or more counterparts were found in the mapping, but 265 new LOs were not found and thus, classified as new. In the first rating, 779 LOs were kept, 300 were modified (172 due to wording), 45 were deleted, and there was no rating for 9 LOs. The expert group changed 47 of the pre-evaluation decisions. The final rating was to keep 738 LOs, modify 356, and delete 39 LOs. Conclusion This method effectively evaluated the LOs from NKLM 2.0 while balancing expert knowledge and an overview of the curriculum.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Programmed death-1 ligand (PD-L1) has been often studied in different types of renal-cell carcinoma (RCC). For example, in clear-cell renal carcinoma it is well established that programmed death-1 receptor and PD-L1 are important prognostic markers. In contrast, the role of programmed death-2 ligand (PD-L2) as prognostic marker remains unclear. The aim of this study was to evaluate if PD-L2 expression could play a role as a prognostic marker for papillary RCC (pRCC). METHODS The patients' sample collection was a joint collaboration of the PANZAR consortium. Patients' medical history and tumor specimens were collected from n = 240 and n = 128 patients with type 1 and 2 pRCC, respectively. Expression of PD-L2 was determined by immunohistochemistry. In total, PD-L2 staining was evaluable in 185 of 240 type 1 and 99 of 128 type 2 pRCC cases. RESULTS PD-L2 staining was positive in 67 (36.2%) of type 1 and in 31 (31.3%) of type 2 pRCC specimens. The prevalence of PD-L2+ cells was significantly higher in high-grade type 1 tumors (p = 0.019) and in type 2 patients with metastasis (p = 0.002). Kaplan-Meier analysis disclosed significant differences in 5-year overall survival (OS) for patients with PD-L2- compared to PD-L2+ in pRCC type 1 of 88.4% compared to 73.6% (p = 0.039) and type 2 of 78.8% compared to 39.1% % (p < 0.001). However, multivariate analysis did not identify the presence of PD-L2+ cells neither in type 1 nor type 2 pRCC as an independent predictor of poor OS. DISCUSSION/CONCLUSION PD-L2 expression did not qualify as an independent prognostic marker in pRCC. Future studies will have to determine whether anti-PD-L2-targeted treatment may play a role in pRCC and expression can potentially serve as a predictive marker for these therapeutic approaches.

Abstract
The long-term symptoms of COVID-19 are the subject of public and scientific discussions. Understanding how those long COVID symptoms co-occur in clusters of syndromes may indicate the pathogenic mechanisms of long COVID. Our study objective was to cluster the different long COVID symptoms. We included persons who had a COVID-19 and assessed long-term symptoms (at least 4 weeks after first symptoms). Hierarchical clustering was applied to the symptoms as well as to the participants based on the Euclidean distance h of the log-values of the answers on symptom severity. The distribution of clusters within our cohort is shown in a heat map.From September 2021 to November 2023, 2371 persons with persisting long COVID symptoms participated in the study. Self-assessed long COVID symptoms were assigned to three symptom clusters. Cluster A unites rheumatological and neurological symptoms, cluster B includes neuro-psychological symptoms together with cardiorespiratory symptoms, and a third cluster C shows an association of general infection signs, dermatological and otology symptoms. A high proportion of the participants (n = 1424) showed symptoms of all three clusters. Clustering of long COVID symptoms reveals similarities to the symptomatology of already described syndromes such as the Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) or rheumatological autoinflammatory diseases. Further research may identify serological parameters or clinical risk factors associated with the shown clusters and might improve our understanding of long COVID as a systemic disease. Furthermore, multimodal treatments can be developed and scaled for symptom clusters and associated impairments.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Immunocompromised people are less likely to be vaccinated, despite an increased benefit of many vaccinations in terms of benefit-risk assessment, including the vaccines against SARS CoV-2 (COVID-19). Attitudes, expectations, and experiences with previous vaccinations influence the decision to get vaccinated. OBJECTIVE To explore the attitudes of immunocompromised people towards vaccinations in general and COVID-19 vaccination in particular and their experiences with COVID-19 vaccinations. MATERIAL AND METHODS As part of the CoCo Immune study, immunocompromised participants were surveyed in the spring and summer of 2021 (1 November 2021-7 September 2021) using questionnaires. Initially, they were asked about their expectations concerning a COVID-19 vaccination and followed up about their experience after COVID-19 vaccination. In addition, sociodemographic data, general attitudes toward vaccinations and experiences with previous vaccinations were collected. Analysis was performed using descriptive and bivariate statistics. RESULTS The 243 participants mostly approved vaccinations and expected the COVID-19 vaccination to be effective and well-tolerated. Women were more concerned about the safety of vaccinations and were more often worried about side effects. Older persons felt better informed than younger persons. Participants who reported subjective side effects of previous vaccinations were more skeptical about vaccinations as well as the government institutions that recommend vaccinations. They less often agreed with the statement "in retrospect, the COVID-19 vaccination has been harmless for me so far". DISCUSSION The participants mostly expressed a positive attitude and anticipation towards COVID-19 vaccinations; however, the age and sex differences found suggest that there are different information needs which should be addressed when educating individuals about vaccinations or designing vaccination campaigns.
