Abstract
Intractable drug-resistant magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) negative epilepsy in one of the complicated issues in neurology. Epilepsy surgery is beneficial treatment of intractable seizures, but precise localization of epileptogenic zone is a major concern. Thirty-four MRI negative drug-resistant epilepsy patients underwent video electroencephalography (EEG), positron emission tomography (PET) scan, and voxel-based morphometry (VBM) MRI from 2014 to 2019. Then, the findings of PET scan and VBM were compared with semiology and long-term electrophysiology. Cohen's kappa-coefficient (k) test was utilized to measure the agreement between our modalities. Among 34 patients with age ranging from 8 to 49 (mean: 29.00 ± standard deviation: 10.35), 19 were male (55.9%) and 15 were female (44.1%). Twenty-one patients (61.76%) had right temporal, 12 patients (35.3%) had left and one patient had bilateral temporal ictal focus according to video EEG. Inter-rater agreement analysis showed that the kappa index between video EEG and PET scan was of almost acceptable (more than 0.4) and there was poor agreement between video EEG and VBM (kappa index = 0.099). PET is highly concordant with video EEG in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and has a considerable agreement in localizing epileptogenic zone while VBM is less.

Abstract
BACKGROUND New Oral Anticoagulants (NOACs) such as Rivaroxaban are introduced as alternatives to conventional vitamin-K antagonists in the long-term treatment of thrombotic events due to their lower bleeding risk. There is a lack of evidence on the effectiveness and safety of Rivaroxaban in Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT). This study aims to assess the effectiveness and bleeding risk of Rivaroxaban in comparison with Warfarin for the treatment of CVT. MATERIALS AND METHODS 36 patients with diagnosis of CVT were included. Clinical and background information was assessed on admission and patients were followed for at least 12 months. Measured outcomes were modified Rankin Scale (mRS), evidence of recanalization on contrast-enhanced Brain MR venography (MRV) and major or minor bleeding. Patients were divided into two groups according to the type of oral anticoagulant (Rivaroxaban vs Warfarin). Groups were compared in terms of final outcomes and side effects. RESULT Overall, 13 (36.11%) patients received Warfarin and 23 (63.89%) received Rivaroxaban. Optimal mRS score (0-1) was attained in 9 of 10 (90%) of patients treated with Rivaroxaban and 19 of 22 (86.36%) of patients received Warfarin. MRV showed complete or partial recanalization in 12 of 14 (85.71%) patients treated with Rivaroxaban and all patients in the Warfarin group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of major and minor hemorrhage. CONCLUSION Rivaroxaban holds promise for the treatment of CVT.

Abstract
CL is a subspecialty in psychiatry and provides a variety of consultation services including diagnosis, therapeutic and teaching efforts of a psychiatrist in none psychiatric units or hospitals.ObjectivesThis is a retrospective descriptive study that evaluated the consultation liaison (CL) psychiatry services in Imam Khomeini hospital, during two recent years.MethodsThe information has been obtained from reviews of medical profiles of patients who attended the hospital.ResultsA total of 681 patients (365 patients were male) received CL services during the study period. The most prevalent diagnosis groups were mood disorder (37.91%), delirium (13.6%) and anxiety (12.64%). Our study revealed that cardiovascular unit, infectious disease unit and general surgery units frequently requested for consultations among all hospital wards. Pediatrics unit had the lowest request rate for psychiatric consultation.ConclusionCL is on the rise in general hospitals, specifically in internal medicine and surgery units which alarm us to pay more attention to preventive strategies focused on the most referred problems including mood disorders, delirium and anxiety disorders in patients who attended general hospitals.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.
