Abstract
Contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) is constantly used for delineating organs-at-risk (OARs) in radiation therapy planning. The delineated OARs are needed to transfer from CECT to non-contrast CT (NCCT) for dose calculation. Yet, the use of iodinated contrast agents (CA) in CECT and the dose calculation errors caused by the spatial misalignment between NCCT and CECT images pose risks of adverse side effects. A promising solution is synthesizing CECT images from NCCT scans, which can improve the visibility of organs and abnormalities for more effective multi-organ segmentation in NCCT images. However, existing methods neglect the difference between tissues induced by CA and lack the ability to synthesize the details of organ edges and blood vessels. To address these issues, we propose a contrast-enhanced knowledge and anatomical perception network (CKAP-Net) for NCCT-to-CECT synthesis. CKAP-Net leverages a contrast-enhanced knowledge learning network to capture both similarities and dissimilarities in domain characteristics attributable to CA. Specifically, a CA-based perceptual loss function is introduced to enhance the synthesis of CA details. Furthermore, we design a multi-scale anatomical perception transformer that utilizes multi-scale anatomical information from NCCT images, enabling the precise synthesis of tissue details. Our CKAP-Net is evaluated on a multi-center abdominal NCCT-CECT dataset, a head an neck NCCT-CECT dataset, and an NCMRI-CEMRI dataset. It achieves a MAE of 25.96 ± 2.64, a SSIM of 0.855 ± 0.017, and a PSNR of 32.60 ± 0.02 for CECT synthesis, and a DSC of 81.21 ± 4.44 for segmentation on the internal dataset. Extensive experiments demonstrate that CKAP-Net outperforms state-of-the-art CA synthesis methods and has better generalizability across different datasets.

Abstract
Grape pomace (GP) is a byproduct of the viticulture industry and shows promise for feeding dairy cattle as well as reducing enteric methane (CH4) emissions. This study investigates the potential of using fresh GP in dairy cow feeding and its effects on CH4 emissions. Multiparous Holstein dairy cows (n = 24, 205 ± 39 DIM) were housed in free stall barns and provided rations consisting of alfalfa hay, wheat hay, almond hulls, cottonseed, and grain mix. After a 2-wk adaptation period, cows were randomly assigned to one of the 3 treatments: a control diet (CON) a diet with 10% grape pomace (10% GP), and a diet with 15% GP (15% GP) on a DM basis. Treatments were arranged in a 3 × 3 Latin Square Design, where cows received 3 treatments over 3 periods, each period lasting for 4 wk. Rations were provided twice daily and gas emissions from cows were measured using an automated GreenFeed system. Milk production was recorded both in the morning and evening h and milk samples were collected weekly for fat, protein, lactose, SNF, MUN, and SCC analysis. For fatty acids analysis, milk samples were collected on the last 3 d of each 28-d period. Data were checked for normality and were analyzed using a mixed model ANOVA in proc GLIMMIX in SAS. Dry matter intake was reduced in GP-fed cow, where CON had the highest DMI followed by 10% and 15% GP. Methane and H2 emissions were reduced in GP-supplemented group compared with CON group. On the other hand, CO2 emissions was found higher in GP-supplemented group compared with the CON group. Milk yield was not different among different GP treatments. Although no differences were observed in fat, protein, lactose, SNF, and SCC, we did observe that MUN was lower in the 10% and 15% GP compared with CON group. The reduction in CH4 emissions in GP-supplemented group suggests that the chemical components of GP were effective in reducing CH4 emissions. On the other hand, lower DMI in GP supplemented groups indicates that DMI can act as an indicator of lower CH4 production. No effects on fat, protein percentage, and milk yield indicate that GP did not negatively affect milk production. Total PUFA and linoleic acid in milk fat, were greater in 10% and 15% GP groups compared with CON group. In conclusion, GP supplementation helped reduce enteric CH4 emissions from cows without impacting milk production.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To stratify systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients clinically, to analyze the clinical characteristics of patients with and without disease activity, and to explore the application va-lue of key clinical indicators in assessing disease activity, as well as to construct an evaluation model. METHODS A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data of the SLE patients diagnosed at Peking University People' s Hospital from May 1995 to April 2014. Demographic information, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, and antibody detection results were collected. The patients were divided into active and inactive groups based on systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index 2000(SLEDAI-2000)scores. t-tests, Mann-Whitney U tests, and χ2 tests were used to compare the differences between the groups. Spearman correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relevant clinical indicators associated with SLE activity in the active disease group. Based on the results of statistical analysis, a Logistic regression model was constructed, and the performance of the model was evaluated. RESULTS No significant differences were found in demographic characteristics between the two groups. In the active disease group, positive rates of antinuclear antibodies (ANA) and anti-double-stranded DNA antibodies (anti-dsDNA) were increased; white blood cell count (WBC), red blood cell count (RBC), hemoglobin (HGB), lymphocytes (LY), total protein (TP), albumin (ALB), and complement 3(C3) levels were significantly decreased; while immunoglobulin A and G levels were markedly elevated. The correlation analysis results showed that hemoglobin, albumin, C3, and complement 4(C4) had higher correlation indices compared with other clinical indicators. Among these, C3 exhibited a certain negative correlation with disease activity. The Logistic regression model based on 12 significantly different indicators (P < 0.05) achieved an accuracy of 91.4%, sensitivity of 94.4%, specificity of 81.0%, and the area under curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) was 0.944. CONCLUSION This study comprehensively evaluated a range of clinical indicators related to SLE disease activity, providing a thorough understanding of both laboratory and clinical markers. The Logistic regression model, which was primarily constructed using laboratory test indicators, such as inflammatory markers, immune response parameters, and organ involvement metrics, demonstrated a high degree of accuracy in assessing the disease activity in SLE patients. Consequently, this model might provide a new basis for the diagnosis and treatment of SLE patients, offering significant clinical diagnostic value.

An IL-6 promoter variant (-174 G/C) augments IL-6 production and alters skeletal muscle transcription in response to exercise in mice. J Appl Physiol (1985) 2024. Abstract
Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is produced and secreted by skeletal muscle cells during exercise and plays an important role in mediating metabolic responses to exercise. The promoter region of the IL-6 gene contains a common genetic variant (-174 G/C, rs1800795) which may alter responses to exercise training. To isolate the impact of this gene variant on exercise-induced IL-6 expression and skeletal muscle transcription responses following exercise we generated knock-in mice with a GG or variant CC genotype for the murine homolog of rs1800795. The overall gross metabolic phenotype of resting mice was similar between genotypes; however, following acute treadmill running the variant CC genotype was associated with a greater increase in skeletal muscle IL-6 mRNA and circulating IL-6. Furthermore, we observed that mice with the variant CC genotype exhibited sex-specific differences in skeletal muscle master metabolism regulatory genes, and had greater increases in genes controlling mitochondrial biogenesis in skeletal muscle post-exercise. However, there was no effect of genotype on exercise-induced skeletal muscle glycogen depletion, circulating free fatty acids, blood glucose and lactate production, or exercise-responsive gene expression in subcutaneous fat. These findings suggest that the IL-6 promoter variant -174 G/C may result in enhanced skeletal muscle adaptations in response to exercise training, and could mean that individuals with the 'C' allele may more readily gain improvements in metabolic health in response to exercise training.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze awareness, willingness, the status of using, and related factors of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in men who have sex with men (MSM) in Shaanxi Province to provide a reference for the next step of HIV prevention and control strategy. Methods: Using a cross-sectional study design from March to May 2022, with the assistance of MSM social organizations in Xi'an, relying on the network platform and MSM Social organizations, a convenient sampling method was used to recruit MSM with an estimated sample size of 900. The inclusion criteria were male aged ≥18, having had same-sex sexual intercourse in the last twelve months, HIV-negative or unknown status of infection. An electronic questionnaire was made with the help of questionnaire-star and an anonymous self-administered questionnaire was used to collect information on socio-demographic characteristics, sexual behavior, awareness and using of PrEP, etc. A logistic regression model was used to analyze related factors of PrEP awareness and use in MSM. SPSS 25.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results: Among 981 MSM subjects, 76.55% (751/981) had heard of PrEP, and 42.51% (417/981) were aware of PrEP. Among those who knew about PrEP, 74.34% (310/417) had homosexual sexual activity in the last six months, 99.03% (307/310) were willing to use PrEP, and 40.97% (127/310) were using PrEP. The multivariate logistic regression analysis model results showed that nationality (other ethnic groups:aOR=4.48,95%CI:1.28-15.68),education level (high school or technical secondary school: aOR=3.01,95%CI:1.49-6.07; universities or colleges: aOR=2.86,95%CI:1.47-5.57; master degree: aOR=5.10,95%CI:2.37-10.98), monthly income 5 000-10 000 yuan (aOR=1.70,95%CI: 1.00-2.88), tested for HIV in the past 12 months (aOR=1.87,95%CI:1.34-2.61) were related factors of PrEP knowledge awareness. Singlehood (aOR=0.46,95%CI:0.26-0.81) and consulted professionals about PrEP (aOR=9.56,95%CI:4.58-19.96) were related factors of PrEP use. Conclusions: The proportion of willingness to use PrEP was higher among MSM in Shaanxi Province, but the awareness rate and utilization rate of MSM for PrEP were low. The cognition of PrEP should be further improved to promote the correct use of PrEP among MSM.

Abstract
Matrix metalloproteinase 11 (MMP11), a zinc-dependent endopeptidase involved in extracellular matrix degradation and remodeling, has been identified as a tumor promoter in multiple cancer types. However, its expression pattern and role in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remain unclear. In this study, elevated MMP11 expression was identified in PDAC tissues and was associated with diminished survival. Integrated single-cell RNA sequencing and co-immunofluorescence staining revealed that MMP11 was predominantly expressed in cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs). Mechanistically, cancer cell-derived TGF-β1 mediated CAF activation via the pSmad2/3 pathway and accompanied by MMP11 production. Additionally, MMP11 knockdown in CAFs impaired the proliferative and invasive abilities of AsPC-1 and BxPC-3 cells in vitro; which could be rescued by adding recombinant MMP11. Similarly, co-injection of AsPC-1 cells with MMP11-knockdown CAFs into nude mice significantly suppressed tumor growth and liver metastasis compared with tumors bearing unmodified CAFs. Furthermore, we confirmed that CAF-derived MMP11 may drive the epithelial-mesenchymal transition process of PDAC cells to promote tumor invasion via the PI3K/AKT pathway rather than extracellular matrix remodeling. Collectively, we uncovered a crosstalk between cancer cells and CAFs mediated by TGF-β1 and MMP11 that drives the progression of PDAC.

Abstract
Oral papilloma, a frequently encountered benign lesion, can be managed effectively with various treatments. A unique case of oral mucosal papilloma extending from the buccal fat pad region to the corner of the mouth is presented here. Although papilloma larger than 10 mm2 are associated with a high risk of becoming cancerous and should be treated promptly, the papilloma in this case would have been difficult to resect due to involvement of the parotid duct opening and the corner of the mouth. Topical external application of 5-aminolevulinic acid-mediated photodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) was employed successfully in this case, with no recurrence at 20 months of follow-up. Therefore, ALA-PDT may represent a promising therapeutic option for challenging cases of multifocal papilloma of the oral mucosal.

Abstract
Desmoid tumors (DTs) are rare benign neoplasms but cause significant mortality due to their locally infiltrative nature and propensity to recur. Most DTs occur in the extremities and trunk. Head and neck DTs are uncommon but can have a significant impact on a patient's facial appearance. However, there is limited information available about the diagnosis and treatment for multiple DTs located in head and neck. We report the first case of multiple maxillofacial DTs in a 14-year-old boy. He had painless submandibular masses for three months and MRI imaging reveals abnormal high signals on the submandibular and bilateral zygomatic regions. Considering facial aesthetics, via intraoral incision we obtained a biopsy from the largest mass. Pathological examination confirmed a diagnosis of DT. We selected the wait-and-see strategy and clinically monitored the rest of the masses. During the subsequent 1-year follow-up, the masses were stagnant and appeared to involute. According to the development and outcome of this case, a conservative treatment for craniofacial DTs is suggested; however, greater clarity concerning management and prognosis could derive from prospective study of a larger patient cohort in the future.

Abstract
Genomic prediction has been widely applied to the pig industry and has greatly accelerated the progress of genetic improvement in pigs. With the development of sequencing technology and price reduction, more and more genotype imputation panels of pig have been investigated, providing an effective and economical method to further study the genetic variation of pig economic traits. In this study, the imputation from 80 k Single Nucleotide Polymorphism chip data of 832 Large White pigs to whole-genome sequencing genotypes was performed by Swine Imputation Server, Pig Haplotypes Reference Panel (PHARP), Animal Genotype Imputation Database and 1k-pig-genomes four thousand-pig imputation panels. Then, linkage disequilibrium (LD) pruning and genome-wide association study (GWAS) preselected markers strategies were utilised to compare the genomic prediction accuracy of the different imputation data for reproductive traits, respectively. Our results showed that the PHARP panel exhibited the best genomic prediction accuracy among the four imputation panels. Meanwhile, the genomic prediction accuracy of the imputation data can be further improved by utilising the LD pruning and GWAS preselected marker strategies. In conclusion, our study provides insights into imputation data for pig genetic breeding.

Abstract
Previous studies have shown that adding 450 mg/kg of ursolic acid (UA) can improve the growth performance of broilers. However, the specific mechanism is still unclear. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to further explore whether UA promotes the growth of broilers by affecting the intestinal environment of broilers. We randomly divided 120 broilers with similar BW (46.53 ± 0.05 g) into two groups. Each group had six replicates, with 10 broilers per replicate. The broilers were fed either the corn-soybean meal-basal diet (CON group) or the corn-soybean meal-basal diet supplemented with 450 mg/kg UA (UA group). This study lasted 42 days. Adding UA increased the daily weight gain and feed conversion ratio of broilers (P < 0.05). The UA group exhibited reduced aspartate aminotransferase, total cholesterol, interleukin 6 and interleukin 1, and triacylglycerol levels, with increased interleukin 10 and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in serum (P < 0.05). The UA supplementation improved total antioxidant capacity, total superoxide dismutase, and glutathione peroxidase activity in serum (P < 0.05), and increased these levels in the jejunum (P < 0.05). It reduced malondialdehyde concentration in the jejunum and ileum (P < 0.05), improved jejunal morphology by increasing villus height and villus-to-crypt ratio, and decreased crypt depth (P < 0.05). Gene expression of zona occludens 1 and Claudin-1 was higher, while interleukin 6 was lower in the UA group (P < 0.05). Additionally, interleukin 10 gene expression in jejunal mucosa was higher (P < 0.05). Significant differences were observed in the abundance of Bacteroides, proteobacteria, and desulfurisation bacteria (P < 0.05), with higher Barnesiella and Clostridia_UCG-014, and lower Romboutsia in the UA group (P < 0.05). Barnesiella negatively correlated with interleukin 6, interleukin 1, and triacylglycerol, but positively correlated with interleukin 10 (P < 0.05). In conclusion, adding 450 mg/kg UA to broiler feed can improve serum and jejunal antioxidant capacity, reduce jejunal and ileal inflammation, improve jejunal morphology, and regulate caecal microbiota structure composition, promoting broiler growth.

Abstract
BACKGROUND With the continuous development of minimally invasive thoracic surgery, thoracoscopic thymectomy has become a routine operation. This method, now widely recognized, better protects lung function, reduces intraoperative blood loss and pain, and shortens postoperative hospital stay. We now introduce a standardized right thoracic incision for thoracoscopic thymic tumor resection, which has achieved favorable clinical outcomes. METHODS This retrospective study involves 63 patients who underwent standardized right thoracic incision for thoracoscopic thymic tumor resection from October 2022 to January 2024. We analyzed the relevant clinical data, including postoperative pathological diagnosis, operation time, intraoperative blood loss, chest tube drainage duration, postoperative hospital stay, and follow-up data. RESULTS All 63 patients underwent thoracoscopic surgery. Thoracoscopic surgery excised thymic tumors and mediastinal fat in 62 cases, while 1 case of thymic carcinoma underwent thoracoscopic biopsy due to invasion of the superior vena cava and innominate vein. Postoperative pathological diagnosis revealed thymoma in 35 cases (33 cases of thymoma and 2 cases of thymic adenocarcinoma). R0 resection was achieved in 33 cases and R1 resection in 1 case. Additionally, 2 patients diagnosed with thymic adenocarcinoma were advised to undergo postoperative radiotherapy. Postoperative pathological diagnosis of the other 28 cases showed thymus hyperplasia in 13 cases and thymus cysts in 15 cases. The mean operation time was 57.3 ± 14.2 min, and intraoperative blood loss was 22.5 ± 14.7 ml. The mean chest tube drainage duration was 2.7 ± 1.3 days, and the postoperative hospital stay was 3.7 ± 1.4 days. No secondary operations were required, and no severe complications or mortality were observed during the perioperative period. All patients were discharged smoothly after surgery. Ten patients were not followed up due to recent surgery. The remaining 53 patients were followed up for 6 to 12 months, with no recurrence or distant metastasis observed. CONCLUSION The standardized right thoracic incision for thoracoscopic thymic tumor resection simplifies the procedure of thymectomy. The operation's risk points are relatively fixed, making it safe and feasible. It is easy for the operator to master, and the thymic tumor resection rate is high. It possesses characteristics of being minimally invasive, enabling rapid recovery, having fewer complications, and requiring simple perioperative management.

Abstract
Measuring deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) on the neutron is one of the necessary steps to understand the structure of the nucleon in terms of generalized parton distributions (GPDs). Neutron targets play a complementary role to transversely polarized proton targets in the determination of the GPD E. This poorly known and poorly constrained GPD is essential to obtain the contribution of the quarks' angular momentum to the spin of the nucleon. DVCS on the neutron was measured for the first time selecting the exclusive final state by detecting the neutron, using the Jefferson Lab longitudinally polarized electron beam, with energies up to 10.6 GeV, and the CLAS12 detector. The extracted beam-spin asymmetries, combined with DVCS observables measured on the proton, allow a clean quark-flavor separation of the imaginary parts of the Compton form factors H and E.

Abstract
Bone nonunion delays fracture end repair and is associated with inflammation. Although bone nonunion can be effectively repaired in clinical practice, many cases of failure. Studies have confirmed that BMP-2 and nHA/PA66 repaired bone defects successfully. There are few studies on the effects of the combined application of BMP-2 and NHA/PA66 on bone nonunion osteogenesis and inflammation. We aimed to investigate the expression level of inflammation-related genes in patients with bone nonunion and the effect of BMP-2-infected mesenchymal stem cells combined with nHA/PA66 on the level of inflammation in femur nonunion rats. We searched for a gene expression profile related to bone nonunion inflammation (GSE93138) in the GEO public database. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) of SD rats were cultured and passed through. We infected the third generation of MSCs with lentivirus carrying BMP-2 and induced the infected MSCs to bone orientation. We detected the expression level of BMP-2 by RT-PCR and the cell viability and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity by CCK8 and then analyzed the cell adhesion ability. Finally, the levels of related inflammatory factors, including C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR), were detected in nonunion rats. Our findings: The patients with nonunion had up-regulated expression of 26 differentially inflammatory genes. These genes are mainly enriched in innate immune response, extracellular region, calcium ion binding, Pantothenate and CoA biosynthesis pathways. The expression level of BMP-2 in the Lenti-BMP-2 group was higher (vs. empty lentivirus vector group: t=5.699; vs. uninfected group t=3.996). The cell activity of the MSCs + BMP-2 + nHA/PA66 group increased gradually. After being combined with nHA/PA66, MSCs transfected with BMP-2 spread all over the surface of nHA/PA66 and grew into the material pores. MSCs + BMP-2 + nHA/PA66 cells showed positive ALP staining, and the OD value of ALP was the highest. The levels of CRP, IL-6, TNF-alpha, and ESR in the MSCs + BMP-2 + nHA/PA66 group were lower than those in the MSCs and MSCs + nHA/PA66 group but higher than those in MSCs + BMP-2 group. The above comparisons were all P<0.05. The findings demonstrated that the expression level of inflammation-related genes increased in the patients with bone nonunion. The infection of MSCs by BMP-2 could promote the directed differentiation of MSCs into osteoblasts in the bone marrow of rats, enhance the cell adhesion ability and ALP activity, and reduce inflammation in rats with bone nonunion.

Abstract
Botulinum toxin A (BTX-A) is a powerful neurotoxin produced by Clostridium botulinum, which can relieve muscle spasm or limit gland secretion by inhibiting the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular/glandular junction. In addition, BTX-A can also play a role in the sensory feedback loop, which can ease pain. Currently, dentists are paying more attention to the cosmetic applications of BTX-A in the oral and maxillofacial region, while their understanding of BTX-A's non-cosmetic applications is still insufficient. Although the specific molecular mechanism of BTX-A in oral diseases has not been fully clarified, with the development of evidence-based medicine, more and more clinical evidence has began to support the effectiveness of BTX-A in the therapeutic applications of oral diseases. This article will briefly review the main molecular mechanisms of BTX-A, the latest clinical research progress of BTX-A at home and abroad in the treatment of oral diseases, clinical contraindications and adverse reactions of BTX-A, providing a new idea for the treatment of oral diseases.

Abstract
Yaks are grazed extensively on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which has a long history of semi-domestication. The predicted weight of yaks over consecutive years helps make strategic decisions when selecting yak calves for breeding. To achieve more accurate predictions of genomic estimated breeding values, we used a dataset comprising the genotype and weight records of 396 Maiwa yaks collected from 2015 to 2020. We compared the predictive accuracy of the genome best linear unbiased prediction (GBLUP) model with that of six other models. Based on the GBLUP model, we applied two prediction strategies. In the first strategy, the year was treated as a fixed effect in the GBLUP model, and the kinship from all individuals and the markers were treated as random effects. In the second strategy, all individuals were divided into six age groups, with GBLUP performed for each group, and the phenotypes of the closest age groups were treated as fixed effects. Although the GBLUP model provided better prediction accuracy than other single-trait models, most of the predictive capacity was derived from the best linear unbiased estimation. Additionally, incorporating the phenotype of the closest age group as a factor in multitrait prediction enhanced the accuracy of the model. Our findings provide a robust and credible strategy for predicting continuous economic traits in the presence of strong correlations.

Abstract
PURPOSE Living with type 1 diabetes requires burdensome and complex daily diabetes self-management behaviors. This study aimed to determine the association between integrated behavior performance and HbA1c, while identifying the behavior with the most significant impact on HbA1c. METHODS A simple and feasible questionnaire was used to collect diabetes self-management behavior in patients with type 1 diabetes (n = 904). We assessed six dimensions of behavior performance: continuous glucose monitor (CGM) usage, frequent glucose testing, insulin pump usage, carbohydrate counting application, adjustment of insulin doses, and usage of apps for diabetes management. We evaluated the association between these behaviors and HbA1c. RESULTS In total, 21.3% of patients performed none of the allotted behavior, while 28.5% of patients had a total behavior score of 3 or more. 63.6% of patients with a behavior score ≥ 3 achieved HbA1c goal, contrasting with only 30.4% of patients with a behavior score of 0-1. There was a mean 0.54% ± 0.05% decrease in HbA1c for each 1-unit increase in total behavior score after adjustment for age, family education and diabetes duration. Each behavior was independently correlated with a lower HbA1c level, with CGM having the most significant effect on HbA1c levels. CONCLUSIONS Six optimal self-management behaviors, especially CGM usage, were associated with improved glycemic control, emphasizing the feasibility of implementing a simplified version of DSMES in the routine clinical care. Abstract
BACKGROUND We evaluated the feasibility of completing 6 cycles of nab-paclitaxel (nab-P) and carboplatin (C) in a single arm prospective clinical trial for advanced/recurrent EC and safety and efficacy of day (D) 1, 8 nab-P in combination with D1 C q3weeks. METHODS Patients with early-stage, high-risk, advanced primary/recurrent EC without prior platinum/taxane exposure were enrolled in an open-label, single-institution trial (NCT02744898). Patients received 6 cycles of D1 nab-P 100 mg/m2 IV with C AUC 6 IV and D8 nab-P 100 mg/m2 IV q21D. The trial tested the null hypothesis that subjects completing 6 cycles was ≤0.50 versus the alternative that the proportion is ≥0.75 in a single stage design with alpha = 0.05 and power = 80% with 23 subjects. Patients who completed 6 cycles (primary outcome), objective response rate (ORR) and clinical benefit rate (CBR) were estimated with exact 95% Clopper-Pearson confidence intervals. Progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were estimated using Kaplan-Meier methods. RESULTS From 08/2016-03/2018, 23 patients were enrolled. Nineteen patients (82.6%, 95% CI: 61.2%, 95.0%) completed 6 cycles, thus we could reject our null. Twelve patients (52.2%) experienced ≥1 grade 3/4 treatment-related adverse events including: anemia, 6 (26.1%); neutropenia, 5 (21.7%); diarrhea, 3 (13.0%). Fourteen patients (60.1%) reported grade 1 neuropathy. Of 9 patients with measurable target lesions, the ORR was 33.3% (95% CI: 7.5%, 70.1%) and CBR was 55.6% (95% CI: 21.2%, 86.3%). Median PFS in the advanced/recurrent patients was 23.2 (95% CI: 12.1, NR) months. CONCLUSIONS The nab-P/C D1, 8 regimen met pre-specified feasibility criteria with acceptable toxicity and efficacy. Use of nab-P decreases need for steroid pre-medications, and this carboplatin doublet may prove advantageous for trials assessing combinations with immune checkpoint inhibitors in advanced EC.

Abstract
Atomic nuclei are self-organized, many-body quantum systems bound by strong nuclear forces within femtometre-scale space. These complex systems manifest a variety of shapes1-3, traditionally explored using non-invasive spectroscopic techniques at low energies4,5. However, at these energies, their instantaneous shapes are obscured by long-timescale quantum fluctuations, making direct observation challenging. Here we introduce the collective-flow-assisted nuclear shape-imaging method, which images the nuclear global shape by colliding them at ultrarelativistic speeds and analysing the collective response of outgoing debris. This technique captures a collision-specific snapshot of the spatial matter distribution within the nuclei, which, through the hydrodynamic expansion, imprints patterns on the particle momentum distribution observed in detectors6,7. We benchmark this method in collisions of ground-state uranium-238 nuclei, known for their elongated, axial-symmetric shape. Our findings show a large deformation with a slight deviation from axial symmetry in the nuclear ground state, aligning broadly with previous low-energy experiments. This approach offers a new method for imaging nuclear shapes, enhances our understanding of the initial conditions in high-energy collisions and addresses the important issue of nuclear structure evolution across energy scales.

[Clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of epidermal growth factor receptor-mutated non-small cell lung cancer transformed into small-cell lung cancer after treatment]. ZHONGHUA YI XUE ZA ZHI 2024; 104:3751-3756. Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with sensitive epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations who developed small cell lung cancer (SCLC) transformation after treatment with EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI). Methods: We conducted a retrospective collection of clinical data for 21 patients with advanced EGFR mutant NSCLC who developed SCLC transformation after EGFR-TKI treatment at Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 2015 to December 2021. The clinical characteristics were summarized and the prognosis analysis was conducted. Patients were followed up until February 2024. The efficacy was evaluated using Solid Tumor Response Evaluation Criteria, and survival curves were plotted using the Kaplan-Meier method, and the log-rank test was used to compare the differences in survival time (OS) between limited stage and extensive stage in transformed SCLC patients. Cox proportional hazards model was used to analyze the influencing factors of survival after SCLC transformation. Results: Among the 21 patients, there were 5 males and 16 females, with an age range of 33-74 years old [(58.9±2.6) years old]. All 21 patients were adenocarcinoma with sensitive EGFR mutations. There were 18 cases (85.7%) with EGFR gene 19del mutation, including 1 case of 19del+anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) mutation, and 3 cases of L858R mutation. Among the transformed SCLC, there were 11 cases of pure SCLC and 10 cases of mixed SCLC (coexisting of adenocarcinoma and small cell carcinoma components). The median time from diagnosis of NSCLC to SCLC transformation was 12.0 months (95%CI: 7.6-16.3 months). Among the 21 cases of SCLC transformation, there were 13 cases with the extensive stage and 8 cases with the limited stage. Among them, 16 patients received systemic chemotherapy based on etoposide, of which 13 cases could be evaluated for efficacy, 11 cases could be calculated for PFS. Five cases had partial remission, 5 cases were stable, 3 cases had disease progression, and 3 cases cloud not be evaluated. The median progression free survival time (PFS) was 4.8 months (95%CI: 2.8-6.8 months). The median survival time (OS) after SCLC transformation in 21 patients was 10.6 months (95%CI: 7.0-14.2 months), with a median OS of 8.8 months (95%CI: 6.3-11.4 months) for patients with the extensive stage and 27.5 months (95%CI: 9.6-34.4 months) for patients with the limited stage, with statistically significant differences (P=0.002). Cox proportional hazards model analysis showed that the limited stage after SCLC transformation was a protective factor for OS (HR=0.32, 95%CI: 0.12-0.73, P=0.010). The median OS of 21 patients from the diagnosis of lung cancer was 24.9 months (95%CI: 13.0-36.7 months). Conclusions: NSCLC patients with SCLC transformation are all adenocarcinomas, and the proportion of EGFR19del mutations is relatively high. After SCLC transformation, the standard chemotherapy regimen for SCLC is generally used for treatment. The OS after SCLC transformation is related to the stage, and the prognosis is better in the limited stage.

Study of the Decay and Production Properties of D_{s1}(2536) and D_{s2}^{*}(2573). PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2024; 133:171903. Abstract
The e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s1}(2536)^{-} and e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s2}^{*}(2573)^{-} processes are studied using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies from 4.530 to 4.946 GeV. The absolute branching fractions of D_{s1}(2536)^{-}→D[over ¯]^{*0}K^{-} and D_{s2}^{*}(2573)^{-}→D[over ¯]^{0}K^{-} are measured for the first time to be (35.9±4.8±3.5)% and (37.4±3.1±4.6)%, respectively. The e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s1}(2536)^{-} and e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s2}^{*}(2573)^{-} cross sections are measured, and a resonant structure at around 4.6 GeV with a width of 50 MeV is observed in both processes with a statistical significance of 7.2σ and 15σ, respectively. The state is observed for the first time in e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s2}^{*}(2573)^{-} and could be the Y(4626) found by the Belle oration in the D_{s}^{+}D_{s1}(2536)^{-} final state, since they have similar masses and widths. There is also evidence for a structure at around 4.75 GeV in both processes.

Abstract
Optical magnetic dipole (MD) emission predominantly relies on emitters with significant MD transitions, which, however, rarely exist in nature. Here, we propose a strategy to transform electric dipole (ED) emission to a magnetic one by elegantly coupling an ED emitter to a silicon nanoparticle exhibiting a strong MD resonance. This emission mode transformation enables an artificially ideal magnetic dipole source with an MD purity factor of up to 99%. The far-field emission patterns of such artificial MD sources were experimentally measured, which unambiguously resolved their magnetic-type emission origin. This study opens the path to achieving ideal magnetic dipole emission with nonmagnetic emitters, largely extending the availability of magnetic light emitters conventionally limited by nature. Beyond the fundamental significance in science, we anticipate that this study will also facilitate the development of magnetic optical nanosource and enable potential photonic applications relying on magnetic light emission.

Abstract
In this study, we propose a practical and efficient scheme for ship detection in remote sensing imagery. Our method is developed using both ship body detection and ship wake detection and combines deep learning and feature-based image processing. A deep convolutional neural network is used to achieve ship body detection, and a feature-based processing method is proposed to detect ship wakes. For better analysis, we model the sea region and evaluate the quality of the image. Generally, the wake detection result is used to assist ship detection and obtain the sailing direction. Conventional methods cannot detect ships that are covered by clouds or outside the image boundary. The method proposed in this paper uses the wake to detect such ships, with a certain level of confidence and low false alarm probability in detection. Practical aspects such as the method's applicability and time efficiency are considered in our method for real applications. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in a real remote sensing dataset. The results show that over 93.5% of ships and over 70% of targets with no visible ship body can be successfully detected. This illustrates that the proposed detection framework can fill the gap regarding the detection of sailing ships in a remote sensing image.

Search for Light Long-Lived Particles in pp Collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV Using Displaced Vertices in the ATLAS Inner Detector. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2024; 133:161803. Abstract
A search for long-lived particles (LLPs) using 140 fb^{-1} of pp collision data with sqrt[s]=13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC is presented. The search targets LLPs with masses between 5 and 55 GeV that decay hadronically in the ATLAS inner detector. Benchmark models with LLP pair production from exotic decays of the Higgs boson and models featuring long-lived axionlike particles (ALPs) are considered. No significant excess above the expected background is observed. Upper limits are placed on the branching ratio of the Higgs boson to pairs of LLPs, the cross section for ALPs produced in association with a vector boson, and, for the first time, on the branching ratio of the top quark to an ALP and a u/c quark.

Search for the Exclusive W Boson Hadronic Decays W^{±}→π^{±}γ, W^{±}→K^{±}γ and W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ with the ATLAS Detector. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2024; 133:161804. Abstract
A search for the exclusive hadronic decays W^{±}→π^{±}γ, W^{±}→K^{±}γ, and W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ is performed using up to 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13 TeV. If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products. The search results in the most stringent upper limits to date on the branching fractions B(W^{±}→π^{±}γ)<1.9×10^{-6}, B(W^{±}→K^{±}γ)<1.7×10^{-6}, B(W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ)<5.2×10^{-6} at 95% confidence level.

Abstract
Results from a wide range of searches targeting different experimental signatures with and without missing transverse momentum (ETmiss) are used to constrain a Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM) with an additional pseudo-scalar mediating the interaction between ordinary and dark matter (2HDM+a). The analyses use up to 139 fb-1 of proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy s=13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider during 2015-2018. The results from three of the most sensitive searches are combined statistically. These searches target signatures with large ETmiss and a leptonically decaying Z boson; large ETmiss and a Higgs boson decaying to bottom quarks; and production of charged Higgs bosons in final states with top and bottom quarks, respectively. Constraints are derived for several common and new benchmark scenarios in the 2HDM+a.
