Abstract
To establish guidelines for sleeping space in vehicles, the sleeping postures of 189 participants are studied, 105 of them were asked to take the position in which they fall asleep and 84 have been asked to assume the position in which they lie most of the time. Seven percent slept on the stomach, 19% on the back and 74% on the side and 49% slept on the side with both legs flexed. For all participants a bed size of 200 × 90 cm will do. It is discussed that for one night while travelling a bed size of 171 × 76 cm might be sufficient as it results in a reasonably good sleep according to another study and in almost half of the cases in this study people sleep on the side with both legs folded. Apart from the sleeping space for a good sleep, attention is needed for a dark environment with a good temperature and relative silence.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the changes in the prevalence characteristics of multimorbidity among adolescents aged 13-18 in Inner Mongolia from 2019 to 2022 and to explore the association between multimorbidity and moderate to high-intensity physical activity among them. Methods: A stratified random cluster sampling method was used to select students aged 13-18 in Inner Mongolia every September from 2019 to 2022. Physical examinations, demographic characteristics, and depression-related surveys were conducted to analyze the multimorbidity of overweight, obesity, high blood pressure, myopia, spinal curvature abnormality, and depression. A logistic regression model was used to analyze the association between multimorbidity and moderate to high-intensity physical activity. Results: From 2019 to 2022, 70 972, 62 923, 80 254, and 78 288 study subjects were included, with the rates of multimorbidity being 56.4%, 55.4%, 57.2%, and 55.8%, respectively. The rates of multimorbidity remained relatively stable from 2019 to 2022 (χ2=0.06, P=0.950). The incidence of multimorbidity among girls was significantly higher than that among boys (P<0.001). The incidence of multimorbidity among urban students was significantly higher than that among suburban students (P<0.001). The incidence of multimorbidity among high school students was higher than that among middle school students (P<0.001). The top three multimorbidity combinations were myopia and overweight/obesity (26.4%), myopia and high blood pressure (24.4%), and myopia and depression (19.8%), while the least common combination was depression and spinal curvature abnormality (1.1%). The multimorbidity patterns showed no significant differences between years (χ2=0.03, P=0.999). The multimorbidity status was significantly associated with the status of meeting the standard of moderate to high-intensity physical activity (OR=0.83, 95%CI: 0.80-0.86). The association was stronger in boys (OR=0.77, 95%CI: 0.73-0.81) compared with girls (OR=0.90, 95%CI: 0.85-0.96), with a significant interaction term (P<0.001). Conclusion: From 2019 to 2022, the incidence of multimorbidity among adolescents aged 13 to 18 in Inner Mongolia is relatively high, mainly due to the co-occurrence of myopia and other health problems. Adequate physical activity is an important factor in reducing multimorbidity.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the occurrence of different patterns of multimorbidity among children and adolescents aged 9-18 in Tianjin and analyze the cumulative effects of lifestyle on these patterns of multimorbidity. Method: From September to November 2022, a stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select students from primary schools, junior high schools, general high schools, and vocational schools in 16 districts of Tianjin to screen for height, weight, blood pressure, distant vision, and diopter. One year later, a follow-up measurement and questionnaire survey were conducted. The log-binomial model was used to analyze the strength of the association between lifestyle factors and different patterns of multimorbidity. Results: The age of 9 488 students was (12.37±2.49) years old, including 4 999 boys and 4 489 girls. The detection rates of three patterns of multimorbidity of overweight obesity and high blood pressure, overweight obesity and myopia, and overweight obesity with high blood pressure and myopia were 6.63%, 9.32%, and 4.21%, respectively. The detection rates of the three types of multimorbidity in boys were higher than those in girls (all P<0.001). The detection rate of overweight obesity and high blood pressure in suburban areas was higher than that in urban areas (P=0.002). The detection rate of overweight obesity and myopia in suburban areas was lower than that in urban areas (P=0.034). The detection rate of overweight obesity and myopia among those aged 9-12 years old was higher than other age groups (all P<0.001). The ARR (95%CI) for the association between favorable physical activity and the occurrence of overweight obesity and high blood pressure was 0.79 (0.68-0.92). The ARR (95%CI) for the association between favorable physical activity and the occurrence of overweight obesity with high blood pressure and myopia was 0.82 (0.67-0.99). Compared with children and adolescents with 0-2 favorable lifestyle factors, those with 4-5 favorable lifestyle factors had a lower risk of overweight obesity and high blood pressure (ARR=0.84, 95%CI: 0.59-0.92). Conclusion: Boys aged 9-18 in Tianjin are more prone to multimorbidity of overweight obesity and high blood pressure, overweight obesity and myopia, and overweight obesity with high blood pressure and myopia. Children and adolescents with 4-5 favorable lifestyle factors have a reduced risk of occurrence of overweight obesity and high blood pressure. Lifestyle has cumulative effects on multimorbidity of overweight obesity and high blood pressure.

Abstract
The main health problems faced by children and adolescents in China are constantly changing. Myopia, overweight and obesity, abnormal spinal curvature, and mental health issues have become the main health problems for children and adolescents. However, multidimensional health problems such as infectious diseases, chronic non-communicable diseases and injuries still coexist and present regional imbalances. Since these coexisting health problems usually have common behavioral and environmental factors, implementing joint prevention works for children and adolescents could improve the efficiency of monitoring and intervention of multimorbidity among students. School health standards are an important component of China's school health regulations and a crucial technical basis for implementing various school health laws and regulations. Carrying out high-quality revision, preliminary research, implementation evaluation, and promotion of school health standards could provide important technical support for monitoring, comprehensive intervention, and evaluation of common diseases among students, implementing the policy of joint prevention of multimorbidity of common diseases among students, and promoting the high-quality development of disease prevention and control in the field of school health in the new era.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of wasting, spinal curvature abnormalities and multimorbidity among children and adolescents aged 6-18 in Inner Mongolia and explore the related factors of these two health problems. Methods: In September 2022, a stratified random cluster sampling method was employed to select 188 635 children and adolescents aged 6-18 in Inner Mongolia for physical examinations and questionnaire surveys. Data on height, weight, as well as dietary behavior, physical activity, classroom environment, academic tasks, writing posture, and screen behavior were collected. The epidemiological characteristics of wasting, spinal curvature abnormalities and multimorbidity were analyzed. Additionally, a multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the factors associated with wasting, spinal curvature abnormalities and multimorbidity. Results: A total of 188 635 children and adolescents aged 6-18 years participated in this study, including 95 393 boys (50.6%) and 93 242 girls (49.4%), with an average age of 11.53±3.32 years. The detection rate of wasting was 3.79%, with a higher detection rate in boys (4.18%) than in girls (3.38%) (P<0.001). The detection rate of spinal curvature abnormalities was 3.64%, with a higher detection rate in girls (4.04%) than in boys (3.25%) (P<0.001). The detection rate of multimorbidity between wasting and spinal curvature abnormalities was 0.17%, and there was no statistically significant difference between genders (P>0.05). The detection rates of wasting, spinal curvature abnormalities, and multimorbidity all increased with age (Pt<0.001). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that, after adjusting for gender, age, urban/rural status, and school grade, compared to children and adolescents who exercised≥1 hour of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) for at least 5 days per week and had daily screen time<2 hours, those who exercised<5 days per week (OR=1.28, 95%CI: 1.19-1.37) and had daily screen time≥2 hours (OR=1.11, 95%CI: 1.03-1.19) had a higher risk of wasting. Compared to children and adolescents who had≥5 physical education (PE) classes per week, adjusted desk and chair height,<1 hour of after-school study/writing time, and whose parents or teachers rarely or never reminded them about posture, those with<5 PE classes per week (OR=1.11, 95%CI: 1.02-1.21), unadjusted desk and chair height (OR=1.08, 95%CI: 1.01-1.15),≥1 hour of after-school study/writing time (OR=1.15, 95%CI: 1.07-1.24), frequent reminders from parents (OR=1.16, 95%CI: 1.09-1.23), and frequent reminders from teachers (OR=1.10, 95%CI: 1.04-1.16) had a higher risk of spinal curvature abnormalities. Compared to children and adolescents who did not consume sugary drinks daily, exercised≥1 hour of MVPA for at least 5 days per week, and whose teachers rarely or never reminded them about posture, those who consumed sugary drinks daily (OR=1.61, 95%CI: 1.00-2.46), exercised<5 days per week (OR=1.33, 95%CI: 1.01-1.79), and had teachers who frequently reminded them about posture (OR=1.35, 95%CI: 1.05-1.75) had a higher risk of multimorbidity between wasting and spinal curvature abnormalities. Conclusion: The detection rates of wasting, spinal curvature abnormalities and multimorbidity among children and adolescents aged 6-18 in Inner Mongolia are generally low, with an increasing trend observed with age. Both lifestyle and school environmental factors are associated with wasting, spinal curvature abnormalities and multimorbidity.

Abstract
Per FDA guidance, method comparability should be established if an anti-drug antibody (ADA) assay is run by two or more independent laboratories during a study. Genentech, Inc. is evaluating an immunogenicity risk-based comparability approach consisting of both technical and clinical aspects. Technical comparability of the relative sensitivity (RS) is assessed using the Two One-Sided T-tests (TOST) statistical analysis which evaluates if the difference (in absolute value) of the RS means of the two laboratories is less than a pre-specified level of comparability, the practically significant difference (PSD). Clinical comparability is based on the molecule's immunogenicity risk. A basic and in-depth assessment for low and high-risk molecules are used, respectively. An alternative strategy for molecules with limited incurred sample availability is to be used. In the basic assessment, samples are either unfortified or fortified with surrogate ADA positive control at method appropriate concentrations in a representative biological matrix. Acceptable comparability requires in both methods i) at least 80% of the unfortified samples screen and confirm negative, ii) at least 90% of the low concentration samples screen and confirm positive; and iii) 100% of the high concentration samples screen and confirm positive. The in-depth assessment uses at least 100 incurred samples from 30 or more ADA-positive and ADA-negative patients. The results are evaluated using a 2 by 2-confusion matrix and Cohen's Kappa score where 1 indicates perfect agreement. Acceptable comparability requires a Cohen's Kappa score of greater than 0.40. This strategy allows for a robust technical and clinical method comparability assessment.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect of low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)/high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) ratio on the severity of coronary artery disease and 2-year adverse events in elderly patients with coronary heart disease. Methods: This prospective, multicenter, observational cohort study was from the prospective observational multicenter cohort for ischemic and hemorrhage risk in coronary artery disease patients (PROMISE) study, in which 18 701 patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) were included from January 2015 to May 2019. Among them, 6 770 elderly patients with CHD were enrolled in the current study. According to the median of LDL-C/HDL-C ratio (2.1), the patients were divided into two groups: low LDL-C/HDL-C group (LDL-C/HDL-C≤2.1, n=3 346) and high LDL-C/HDL-C group (LDL-C/HDL-C2.1, n=3 424). Baseline data and 2-year outcomes (including death, myocardial infarction, revascularization, stroke) were collected and analyzed in order to found the differences of elderly CHD patients with different LDL-C/HDL-C levels, and explore the correlation between LDL-C/HDL-C ratio with the severity of coronary artery disease and prognosis using Cox multivariate regression analysis. Results: Patients in the low LDL-C/HDL-C group were older [(71.9±5.5) vs (71.5±5.4) years old, P=0.003], and there was no statistically significant difference in the proportion of males between the two groups (61.9% vs 63.4%,P=0.208). The indicators reflecting the severity of coronary artery lesions, including the number of target lesions, the number of coronary artery disease, preoperative SNYTAX score, and the proportion of triple-vessel disease (1.01±0.81 vs 0.88±0.78, 2.28±0.81 vs 2.14±0.83, 16.05±10.67 vs 13.59±9.49, 49.0% vs 41.0%, respectively, all P0.05) were higher in the high LDL-C/HDL-C group. The 2-year follow-up showed that there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE), all-cause mortality, cardiac death, myocardial infarction, and revascularization between the high LDL-C/HDL-C ratio group and the low LDL-C/HDL-C ratio group. Compared by gender, the incidence of all-cause death and cardiac death in the high LDL-C/HDL-C group of female patients were higher than the low LDL-C/HDL-C group (6.9% vs 4.8%, 5.3% vs 3.7%, both P0.05, respectively); There was no statistically difference in the incidence of adverse events between the two groups of male patients. Cox multivariate regression analysis showed that, regardless of gender, the LDL-C/HDL-C ratio was not a risk factor for 2-year MACCE in elderly patients with CHD (male: HR=1.21, 95%CI: 0.87-1.69; female: HR=0.96, 95%CI: 0.65-1.43;total: HR=1.09, 95%CI: 0.85-1.39,all P0.05). Conclusions: The severity of coronary artery disease is higher in elderly patients with high LDL-C/HDL-C ratio than in those with low LDL-C/HDL-C ratio. The LDL-C/HDL-C ratio is not a risk factor for 2-year adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in elderly patients with coronary heart disease. However, the incidences of 2-year adverse cardiovascular events of female patients with high LDL-C/HDL-C ratio are higher than patients with low LDL-C/HDL-C ratio.

Abstract
Oral leukoplakia (OLK) is the most representative oral potentially malignant disorder, with a high risk of malignant transformation and unclear mechanisms of occurrence. Recently, photodynamic therapy (PDT) has exhibited great potential in the treatment of OLK. However, the efficacy of PDT is difficult to predict and varies from person to person. Ferroptosis-related pathways are upregulated in many cancers, and ferroptosis induction is considered to be a potential synergistic strategy for various antitumor therapies, but its role in OLK treatment remains unclear. This study aimed to determine whether ferroptosis induction can enhance the efficacy of PDT in OLK treatment. Our study revealed that solute carrier family 7 member 11 (SLC7A11), a component of a crucial amino acid transporter and a key negative regulator of ferroptosis, was found to be highly expressed in OLK patients with no response to PDT. 5-Aminolevulinic acid (ALA)-PDT is known to cause apoptosis and necrosis, but ferroptosis also occurred under ALA-PDT in OLK cells in our study. Using erastin to induce ferroptosis enhanced the efficacy of ALA-PDT on OLK cells by disrupting the antioxidant system and further elevating intracellular reactive oxygen species levels, leading to increased apoptosis. Furthermore, this combined modality also enhanced the efficacy of ALA-PDT on 4-nitroquinoline-1-oxide (4NQO)-induced OLK lesions in mice. In summary, ferroptosis induction may serve as a potential strategy to enhance the efficacy of ALA-PDT for OLK treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Odronextamab, a CD20×CD3 bispecific antibody that engages cytotoxic T cells to destroy malignant B cells, has demonstrated encouraging activity across multiple subtypes of relapsed/refractory (R/R) B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. PATIENTS AND METHODS This phase II study (ELM-2; NCT03888105) evaluated odronextamab in patients with R/R follicular lymphoma after two or more lines of systemic therapy. Patients received intravenous odronextamab in 21-day cycles, with step-up dosing in cycle 1 to help mitigate the risk of cytokine release syndrome, until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. The primary endpoint was objective response rate by independent central review. RESULTS Among 128 patients evaluated, 95% completed cycle 1, and 85% completed four or more cycles. At 20.1 months' efficacy follow-up, objective response rate was 80.0% and complete response rate was 73.4%. Median duration of complete response was 25.1 months. Median progression-free survival was 20.7 months, and median overall survival was not reached. Discontinuation of odronextamab due to adverse events occurred in 16% of patients. The most common treatment-emergent adverse events were cytokine release syndrome [56%; grade ≥3 1.7% (1/60) with 0.7/4/20 mg step-up], neutropenia (39%), and pyrexia (38%). CONCLUSIONS Odronextamab achieved high complete response rates with generally manageable safety in patients with heavily pretreated R/R follicular lymphoma.

Abstract
Atomic nuclei are self-organized, many-body quantum systems bound by strong nuclear forces within femtometre-scale space. These complex systems manifest a variety of shapes1-3, traditionally explored using non-invasive spectroscopic techniques at low energies4,5. However, at these energies, their instantaneous shapes are obscured by long-timescale quantum fluctuations, making direct observation challenging. Here we introduce the collective-flow-assisted nuclear shape-imaging method, which images the nuclear global shape by colliding them at ultrarelativistic speeds and analysing the collective response of outgoing debris. This technique captures a collision-specific snapshot of the spatial matter distribution within the nuclei, which, through the hydrodynamic expansion, imprints patterns on the particle momentum distribution observed in detectors6,7. We benchmark this method in collisions of ground-state uranium-238 nuclei, known for their elongated, axial-symmetric shape. Our findings show a large deformation with a slight deviation from axial symmetry in the nuclear ground state, aligning broadly with previous low-energy experiments. This approach offers a new method for imaging nuclear shapes, enhances our understanding of the initial conditions in high-energy collisions and addresses the important issue of nuclear structure evolution across energy scales.

Abstract
Human adipose-derived stem cells (hASCs) are commonly used in bone tissue regeneration. The N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification has emerged as a novel regulatory mechanism for gene expression, playing a critical role in osteogenic differentiation of stem cells. However, the precise role and mechanism of alkylation repair homolog 5 (ALKBH5) in hASC osteogenesis remain incompletely elucidated and warrant further investigation. Herein, we employed methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing, RNA sequencing, and weighted gene coexpression network analysis to identify a key long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) in hASCs: lncRNA AK311120. Functional experiments demonstrated that lnc-AK311120 promoted the osteogenic differentiation of hASCs, while a mutation at the m6A central site A of lnc-AK311120 was found to decrease the level of m6A modification. The osteogenic effect of ALKBH5 was confirmed both in vitro and in vivo using a mandibular defect model in nude mice. Subsequent investigations revealed that knockdown of ALKBH5 resulted in a significant increase in the m6A modification level of lnc-AK311120, accompanied by a downregulation in the expression level of lnc-AK311120. Additional rescue experiments demonstrated that overexpression of lnc-AK311120 could restore the phenotype after ALKBH5 knockdown. We observed that AK311120 interacted with the RNA-binding proteins DExH-Box helicase 9 (DHX9) and YTH domain containing 2 (YTHDC2) to form a ternary complex, while mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 7 (MAP2K7) served as the shared downstream target gene of DHX9 and YTHDC2. Knockdown of AK311120 led to a reduction in the binding affinity between DHX9/YTHDC2 and the target gene MAP2K7. Furthermore, ALKBH5 facilitated the translation of MAP2K7 and activated the downstream JNK signaling pathway through the AK311120-DHX9-YTHDC2 complex, without affecting its messenger RNA level. Collectively, we have investigated the regulatory effect and mechanism of ALKBH5-mediated demethylation of lncRNA in hASC osteogenesis for the first time, offering a promising approach for bone tissue engineering.

Tislelizumab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone as first-line treatment for advanced squamous non-small-cell lung cancer: final analysis of the randomized, phase III RATIONALE-307 trial. ESMO Open 2024; 9:103727. [PMID: 39461775 PMCID: PMC11549530 DOI: 10.1016/j.esmoop.2024.103727] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [MESH Headings] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 03/18/2024] [Revised: 08/14/2024] [Accepted: 08/27/2024] [Indexed: 10/29/2024] Open
Abstract
PURPOSE First-line tislelizumab plus chemotherapy significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) versus chemotherapy alone in advanced squamous non-small-cell lung cancer (sq-NSCLC) at the interim analysis of the phase III RATIONALE-307 trial. We present the final analysis of this trial. PATIENTS AND METHODS Patients with treatment-naive, stage IIIB/IV, sq-NSCLC were randomized (1 : 1: 1) to 21-day cycles of i.v.: tislelizumab plus paclitaxel and carboplatin (arm A); tislelizumab plus nab-paclitaxel and carboplatin (arm B); or paclitaxel and carboplatin (arm C). The primary endpoint was independent review committee-assessed PFS; overall survival was a secondary endpoint. RESULTS In total, 360 patients were randomized; 355 received treatment. At the final analysis (median study follow-up: 16.7 months), tislelizumab plus chemotherapy had a manageable safety profile, consistent with that at the interim analysis. Improvement in PFS was maintained for arms A and B versus C {hazard ratio (HR) 0.45 [95% confidence interval (CI) 0.33-0.62] and 0.43 (95% CI 0.31-0.60), respectively}. Overall survival HRs for arms A and B versus C were 0.68 (95% CI 0.46-1.01) and 0.75 (95% CI 0.50-1.12), respectively. CONCLUSIONS The RATIONALE-307 final analysis demonstrated superior clinical benefit with addition of tislelizumab to chemotherapy, and a manageable safety profile, as first-line treatment of advanced sq-NSCLC.

Abstract
A study of resonant structures in B^{+}→D^{*+}D^{-}K^{+} and B^{+}→D^{*-}D^{+}K^{+} decays is performed, using proton-proton collision data at center-of-mass energies of sqrt[s]=7, 8, and 13 TeV recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}. A simultaneous amplitude fit is performed to the two channels with contributions from resonances decaying to D^{*-}D^{+} and D^{*+}D^{-} states linked by C parity. This procedure allows the C parities of resonances in the D^{*±}D^{∓} mass spectra to be determined. Four charmonium or charmoniumlike states are observed decaying into D^{*±}D^{∓}: η_{c}(3945), h_{c}(4000), χ_{c1}(4010), and h_{c}(4300), with quantum numbers J^{PC} equal to 0^{-+}, 1^{+-}, 1^{++}, and 1^{+-}, respectively. At least three of these states have not been observed previously. In addition, the existence of the T_{c[over ¯]s[over ¯]0}^{*}(2870)^{0} and T_{c[over ¯]s[over ¯]1}^{*}(2900)^{0} resonances in the D^{-}K^{+} mass spectrum, already observed in the B^{+}→D^{+}D^{-}K^{+} decay, is confirmed in a different production channel.

Abstract
Epidemiological surveys revealed that 33 of the 93 samples were positive for FHV-1, with the gD gene of these 33 samples exhibiting low variation, high homology, and no critical amino acid mutation. Feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1), also known as feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR) virus, is one of the main causes of URT disease in cats. All cats can become hosts of FHV-1, and the spread of this disease affects the protection of rare feline animals. Nasal swabs from cats with URT disease were collected at five veterinary clinics in Yanji City from 2022 to 2024. The purpose of this study was to isolate and investigate the epidemiology of FHV-1. The gD gene of the FHV-1 strain was cloned and inserted into the pMD-18T vector and transformed into a competent Escherichia coli strain. Subsequently, the gD gene of the positive samples was sequenced and phylogenetic analysis was performed to determine the genetic evolution relationship between the strains. We successfully isolated the FHV-1 strain YBYJ-1 in Yanji City for the first time. The diameter of the virus is approximately 150-160 nm. After 48 h of virus inoculation, the cells were round, isolated, and formed grape-like clusters. The gD gene of the virus was sequenced, and the length was 1125 bp, which proved the isolate was FHV-1. This study found that the genetic evolution of the FHV-1 gD gene was stable, expanding the molecular epidemiological data on FHV-1 in cats in Yanji City.

Abstract
A measurement of time-dependent CP violation in D^{0}→π^{+}π^{-}π^{0} decays using a pp collision data sample collected by the LHCb experiment in 2012 and from 2015 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.7 fb^{-1}, is presented. The initial flavor of each D^{0} candidate is determined from the charge of the pion produced in the D^{*}(2010)^{+}→D^{0}π^{+} decay. The decay D^{0}→K^{-}π^{+}π^{0} is used as a control channel to validate the measurement procedure. The gradient of the time-dependent CP asymmetry ΔY in D^{0}→π^{+}π^{-}π^{0} decays is measured to be ΔY=(-1.3±6.3±2.4)×10^{-4}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic, which is compatible with CP conservation.

Abstract
Epidemiologic studies have implicated the gut microbiota in acute kidney injury (AKI), but the causal relationship is unclear. Using Mendelian randomisation, we explored the causal role of gut microbiota in the development of acute kidney injury after excluding confounding and reverse causality. Mendel randomised (MR) study was conducted using data from intestinal microbiota and genome-wide association studies (GWAS) disease of acute kidney injury and the sequencing data of case-control study confirmed this finding. The summary statistics of intestinal microbiota (n = 13,266) conducted by MiBioGen Alliance was taken as the exposure, while the statistics of acute kidney injury obtained from FinnGen Alliance data (2,383 cases and 212,841 controls) were taken as the results. A total of 42 patients were included in this case-control study. Evidence for the protective causal associations of the genus Flavonifractor id.2059 with AKI was found in inverse variance weighting (odds ratio = 0.48 [95% confidence interval, 0.32-0.72]; P = 0.0003). Additionally, a case-control study showed that the relative abundance of the genus Flavonifractor id.2059 ( P = 0.0169) in septic non-AKI patients was higher than that in septic AKI patients. Compared with S-AKI patients who died within 28 days, the relative abundance of the genus Flavonifractor id.2059 in surviving patients was higher ( P = 0.0281). Phylogenetic analysis showed that OTU68 and HQ455040.1334-739 (genus Flavonifractor, Genetic similarity: 100%), as well as OTU2271 and LT598575.1365-770 (genus Pseudoflavonifractor, Genetic similarity: 100%), have closest genetic ties. Correlation analysis showed that the genus Flavonifractor id.2059 was related to the creatinine value (Spearman correlation: -0.379, P = 0.013). The present study demonstrates that the genus Flavonifractor id.2059 is associated with a reduced risk of AKI, revealing potential implications for the prevention and treatment of acute kidney injury.

Abstract
Feline mesenchymal stem cells (fMSCs) are well known for their robust differentiation capabilities and are commonly used in studying immune-related diseases in cats. Despite their importance, the susceptibility of fMSCs to viral infections remains uncertain. This study aimed to assess the susceptibility of feline adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (fAD-MSCs) and feline umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (fUC-MSCs) to common feline viruses, including feline coronavirus (FCoV), feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1), and feline panleukopenia virus (FPV). The results demonstrated that both FCoV and FHV-1 were able to infect both types of cells, while FPV did not exhibit cytopathic effects on fUC-MSCs. Furthermore, all three viruses were successfully isolated from fAD-MSCs. These findings suggest that certain feline viruses can replicate in fMSCs, indicating potential limitations in using fMSCs for treating viral diseases caused by these specific viruses. This study has important clinical implications for veterinarians, particularly in the management of viral diseases.

Abstract
We report a measurement of exclusive J/ψ and ψ(2s) photoproduction in Au+Au ultraperipheral collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV using the STAR detector. For the first time, (i) the ψ(2s) photoproduction in midrapidity at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider has been experimentally measured; (ii) nuclear suppression factors are measured for both the coherent and incoherent J/ψ production. At average photon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 25.0 GeV, the coherent and incoherent J/ψ cross sections of Au nuclei are found to be 71±10% and 36±7%, respectively, of that of free protons. The stronger suppression observed in the incoherent production provides a new experimental handle to study the initial-state parton density in heavy nuclei. Data are compared with theoretical models quantitatively.

Abstract
Bovine infectious rhinotracheitis (IBR), caused by bovine alphaherpesvirus 1 (BoAHV1), poses significant challenges to the global cattle industry due to its high contagiousness and economic impact. In our study, we successfully isolated a BoAHV1 strain from suspected infected bovine nasal mucus samples in Yanji city, revealing genetic similarities with strains from Sichuan, Egypt, and the USA, while strains from Xinjiang, Beijing, Hebei, and Inner Mongolia showed more distant associations, indicating potential cross-border transmission. Additionally, our investigation of BoAHV1 infection dynamics within host cells revealed early upregulation of gB, which is critical for sustained infection, while the expression of gC and gD showed variations compared to previous studies. These findings enhance our understanding of BoAHV1 diversity and infection kinetics, underscoring the importance of international collaboration for effective surveillance and control strategies. Furthermore, they lay the groundwork for the development of targeted therapeutics and vaccines to mitigate the impact of IBR on the cattle industry.

Abstract
At the origin of the Universe, an asymmetry between the amount of created matter and antimatter led to the matter-dominated Universe as we know it today. The origins of this asymmetry remain unknown so far. High-energy nuclear collisions create conditions similar to the Universe microseconds after the Big Bang, with comparable amounts of matter and antimatter1-6. Much of the created antimatter escapes the rapidly expanding fireball without annihilating, making such collisions an effective experimental tool to create heavy antimatter nuclear objects and to study their properties7-14, hoping to shed some light on the existing questions on the asymmetry between matter and antimatter. Here we report the observation of the antimatter hypernucleusH ¯ Λ ¯ 4 , composed of aΛ ¯ , an antiproton and two antineutrons. The discovery was made through its two-body decay after production in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions by the STAR experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider15,16. In total, 15.6 candidateH ¯ Λ ¯ 4 antimatter hypernuclei are obtained with an estimated background count of 6.4. The lifetimes of the antihypernucleiH ¯ Λ ¯ 3 andH ¯ Λ ¯ 4 are measured and compared with the lifetimes of their corresponding hypernuclei, testing the symmetry between matter and antimatter. Various production yield ratios among (anti)hypernuclei (hypernuclei and/or antihypernuclei) and (anti)nuclei (nuclei and/or antinuclei) are also measured and compared with theoretical model predictions, shedding light on their production mechanisms.

Abstract
The LHCb Collaboration measures production of the exotic hadron χ_{c1}(3872) in proton-nucleus collisions for the first time. Comparison with the charmonium state ψ(2S) suggests that the exotic χ_{c1}(3872) experiences different dynamics in the nuclear medium than conventional hadrons, and comparison with data from proton-proton collisions indicates that the presence of the nucleus may modify χ_{c1}(3872) production rates. This is the first measurement of the nuclear modification factor of an exotic hadron.

In ovo injection of AZD6244 suppresses feather follicle development by the inhibition of ERK and Wnt/β-catenin pathways in goose embryos ( Anser cygnoides). Br Poult Sci 2024; 65:307-314. Abstract
1. Feathers are an important product from poultry, and the state of feather growth and development plays an important role in their economic value.2. In total, 120 eggs were selected for immunoblotting and immunolocalisation experiments of ERK and β-catenin proteins in different developmental stages of goose embryos. The ERK protein was highly expressed in the early stage of goose embryo development, while β-catenin protein was highly expressed in the middle stage of embryo development.3. The 120 eggs were divided into four treatment groups, including an uninjected group (BLANK), a group injected with 100 µl of cosolvent (CK), a group injected with 100 µl of AZD6244 containing cosolvent in a dose of 5 mg/kg AZD6244 containing cosolvent (AZD5) and a group injected with 100 µl of AZD6244 containing cosolvent in a dose of 15 mg/kg AZD6244 containing cosolvent (AZD15). The eggs were injected on the ninth day of embryonic development (E9). Samples were collected at E21.5 to observe feather width, feather follicle diameter, ERK and Wnt/β-catenin pathway protein expression.4. The AZD5 and AZD15 doses were within the embryonic safety range compared to the BLANK and CK groups and had no significant effect on the survival rate and weight at the inflection point, but significantly reduced the feather width and feather follicle diameter (p < 0.05). The AZD6244 treatment inhibited ERK protein phosphorylation levels and blocked the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, which in turn significantly down-regulated the expression levels of FZD4, β-catenin, TCF4 and LEF1 (p < 0.05), with an inhibitory effect in the AZD15 group being more significant. The immunohistochemical results of β-catenin and p-ERK were consistent with Western blot results.5. The small molecule inhibitor AZD6244 regulated the growth and development of feather follicles in goose embryos by the ERK and Wnt/β-catenin pathways.
