Abstract
Background and Aim Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is an autosomal recessive disorder. Typical clinical manifestations are self-limiting attacks of recurrent fever, abdominal pain, arthralgia, and chest pain due to aseptic polyserositis. Renal involvement is common in FMF patients. Shear wave elastography (SWE) is a noninvasive method that provides the measurement of tissue stiffness. In this study, we aimed to show that SWE can be used as an adjunctive method for evaluating renal involvement in children with FMF. Materials and Methods Our study group consists of 79 pediatric FMF patients and 79 control individuals. The study was planned prospectively. The variables, such as age, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) of the patient and control groups, were kept in a similar way in order not to be affected by the differences. The right and left kidney sizes, parenchymal thicknesses, and SWE values in both groups were compared. The parenchymal stiffness degrees of the kidneys were quantified by shear modulus values in kilopascals. Results In our study, no statistically significant difference was found between the control and patient groups in terms of the right and left kidney longitudinal dimensions, transverse dimensions, and parenchymal thicknesses. When the kidneys were evaluated in terms of the right and left kidney stiffness values, the stiffness values in the patient group were significantly higher in both kidneys compared with those in the control group (P < 0.001). Conclusions SWE can be a noninvasive quantitative imaging method that can be used to evaluate kidney involvement by detecting changes in kidney stiffness in children with FMF.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical significance and diagnostic performance of the immature platelet fraction (%IPF) in Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF). Samples obtained from 32 healthy control subjects and 40 CCHF patients (9 positive and 31 negative radiological findings) were evaluated in the study. The samples obtained from CT-positive subjects demonstrated higher IPF% values which also exhibited a positive correlation with mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet size deviation width (PDW) values. The patient group IPF% values were positively correlated with the duration of hospital stay. The ROC analysis also suggested the potential importance of IPF values higher than 10.5% in diagnosing CCHF patients with positive radiological findings. The results of our study showed that % IPF can be considered as a useful parameter in the follow-up of the disease course in patients with CCHF.

Abstract
Tracheobroncopathia osteochondroplastica (TO) is a benign disease of the large airways seen very rarely. It is characterized by 1-3 mm sized ossified nodular lesions in submucosa. Its etiology is unclear, but it is stated that malignancy, chronic inflammation, amyloidosis, and genetic factors might have an effect on it. It was first described by Wilks in a 38-year-old man diagnosed with tuberculosis in 1857. Generally, patients are asymptomatic and TO is diagnosed incidentally. But symptoms become significant with infections and obstruction in tracheabronchial tree. Generally chest radiography is normal, so thorax computed tomography can be remarkable in diagnosis of TO. Besides, final diagnosis can be established by viewing ossified nodules in trachea and bronchus through the fiberoptic bronchoscopy. Amyloidosis, tuberculosis, sarcoidosis, bronchial carcinoma, and tracheobronchial calcinosis must be remembered in differential diagnosis. Also ossifications in submucosa and proof of bone marrow in histopathological examinations are important in diagnosis of TO. Mostly palliative treatment is performed to the symptoms . We want the clinicians to keep in mind for this very rarely seen tracheal disease with three case reports.

Abstract
PURPOSE Congenital and acquired pathologies of the seminal vesicles (SV) are rare diseases. The diagnosis of SV anomalies is frequently delayed or wrong due to the rarity of these diseases and the lack of adequate evaluation of SV pathology. For this reason, we aimed to comprehensively evaluate SV pathologies and accompanying genitourinary system abnormalities. MATERIALS AND METHODS Between March 2012 and December 2015, 1455 male patients with different provisional diagnosis underwent MRI. Congenital and acquired pathology of the SV was identified in 42 of these patients. The patients were categorized according to their SV pathologies. The patients were analyzed in terms of genitourinary system findings associated with SV pathologies. RESULTS SV pathologies were accompanied by other genitourinary system findings. Congenital SV pathologies were bilateral or predominantly in the left SV. Patients with bilateral SV hypoplasia were diagnosed at an earlier age compared to patients with unilateral SV agenesis. There was a significant association between abnormal signal intensity in the SV and benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) and patient age. CONCLUSION SV pathologies are rare diseases of the genitourinary system. The association between seminal vesicle pathology and other genitourinary system diseases requires complete genitourinary system evaluation that includes the seminal vesicles.

Abstract
PURPOSE The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of placental strain ratio (SR) values measured by real-time sonoelastography (SE) in the second trimester in the prediction of spontaneous preterm birth (sPTB). METHODS This study included 70 pregnant women who applied to our clinic for routine second-trimester screening. Placental SR measurements were performed with the SE method. Two different SR measurements were performed by taking two different tissues as references. The SR value measured when taking the rectus abdominis muscle as a reference was termed the muscle-to-placenta strain ratio (MPSR), while the SR value measured when taking subcutaneous tissue as a reference was termed the fat-to-placenta strain ratio (FPSR). Women whose gestational age at birth was less than 37 weeks 0 days were accepted as sPTB. The association between gestational age at birth and MPSR and FPSR was investigated. Receiver operating characteristics analysis was used to calculate the sensitivity and specificity of the elastographic outcomes. RESULTS There was a low-level negative correlation between MPSR and gestational age at birth (r=-0.300, P=.012) and there was a moderate-level negative correlation between FPSR and gestational age at birth (r=-0.513, P<.001). The multivariate linear regression analysis showed that the FPSR (β=0.609, P=.002) was the significant predictor for the sPTB. CONCLUSIONS Our data indicate that the FPSR value measured with real-time SE in the second trimester of pregnancy may be effective in the prediction of sPTB.

Abstract
Tracheal bronchus is a rarely seen congenital anomaly generally originating from the right lateral wall of the trachea and approximately 2 cm above the carina. It was firstly defined by Sandifort in 1785 and its frequency of incidence in normal population changes between 0.1% and 2%. There are two types called ''Supernumerary'' and ''Displaced''. It is a rarely seen kind of tracheal anomaly although fairly well defined. The cases accompanied by lung cancer are seen more rarely. Nine cases of this association were reported in literature and tracheal bronchus-lung cancer association whose pathological result is undifferentiated large-cell carcinoma has not been stated so far. We present a 75 years old male patient as possibly the first case having tracheal bronchus and large-cell carcinoma association in literature.

Abstract
Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasia (IPMN) is one of the cystic neoplasias of the pancreas. The imaging findings provide that these tumors are differentiated from the other cystic lesions of the pancreas, especially from the chronic pancreatitis, where the treatment protocol is completely different. Therefore, the correct diagnosis and classification of the IPMN ensures that the patient receives the correct approach and the appropriate surgery, if necessary. The purpose of this study is to emphasize the imaging findings of the different types of the IPMN and the changes in the management protocol of the patients according to these radiological findings.

Abstract
We report cases of ectopic ureter accompanied by three types of ureteral duplication that had been diagnosed previously and treated for enuresis. Data from three female patients ranging in age from 1 to 10 years were evaluated. The ectopic ureter was observed on the left in one case, on the right in another and bilateral in the third case. Complete duplication was found in two cases, while the third had incomplete duplication. Ureteroneocystostomy was performed in one case and subtotal nephrectomy was carried out in the other two cases. Ureteroneocystostomy was performed for the ectopic ureter found in the opposite urinary system in one of the cases. Ectopic duplicated ureter should be considered in treatment-resistant enuresis and urinary tract infections and after a careful physical examination, imaging as well as function tests should be performed.

Abstract
AIMS The aim of this study was to describe the morphological features of posterolateral radiohumeral (RH) plica in asymptomatic subjects and in patients with elbow osteoarthritis using ultrasonography (US). MATERIAL AND METHODS The control group included a total of 100 healthy elbows (51 subjects) and the study group consisted of 22 elbows (22 patients) with osteoarthritis confirmed clinically and by imaging methods. The presence, length, height, thickness, cross sectional area, shape, and echogenicity of the posterolateral RH plica were evaluated in both groups. In addition, humeral and radial cartilage thicknesses were also measured. The clinical characteristics and radiographic findings of the study group were evaluated. RESULTS The posterolateral RH plica was present in all elbows of the control group (100%) and in 15 (68%) of elbows in the study group (p<0.05). All sizes and cross sectional areas of the plica were statistically significantly lower in the elbows of the study group compared to the elbows of the control group (p<0.05 and p<0.001, respectively). The detected posterolateral RH plicae were triangularly shaped in both groups. The plica was hyperechoic in 95 elbows (95%) in the control group and 7 osteoarthritis elbows (46.7%) (p<0.001). The thicknesses of radial and humeral cartilage were also significantly higher in the control group (p<0.001). There were no statistically significant relationships between the radiographic scoring of the elbow osteoarthritis and US findings of the RH plica (all p>0.05). CONCLUSIONS The posterolateral RH plica can be successfully evaluated using US. Based on these findings, it appears that osteoarthritis can result in a reduction of the RH plica and affect its morphological appearance.

Abstract
Background Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) may present with extra-articular involvement in the lungs. We aimed to evaluate the abnormal pulmonary multidetector computed tomography findings of patients with AS and compare them with the clinical symptoms, duration of illness, laboratory results and pulmonary function tests (PFT). Material/Methods We evaluated the chest multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) findings of 41 patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and compared them with pulmonary function test (PFT) results, demographic characteristics, duration of illness and laboratory findings that we were able to obtain. Results The most common abnormalities were nodules, peribronchial thickening, pleural thickening and bronchiectasis. Abnormalities occurred in 96.87% of patients in the early AS group and 77.8% of patients in the late AS group. Patients with early AS included asymptomatic individuals with normal PFT results and abnormal MDCT findings. Conclusions The use of MDCT in AS patients may be beneficial for the evaluation of pulmonary disease, even in asymptomatic patients without any PFT abnormalities and those in the early stages of the disease.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate diagnostic significance of percutaneous cavitary lavage (PCL) in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant pulmonary cavitary lesions. METHODS An alternative diagnostic method called PCL was performed on 16 patients having peripherally located pulmonary cavitary lesions with thin walls which were not suitable for tissue biopsy and whose diagnosis could not be made by sputum examination and bronchoscopic procedures. A 22-gauge needle was inserted into the cavity under computed tomography (CT) guidance. Saline was injected through the needle and then aspirated. The specimen was examined cytologically and microbiologically. RESULTS PCL could make a correct diagnosis in 12 of 16 patients (75%). In three patients (18.7%) appropriate specimen could not be taken. Diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of PCL for malignant-benign differentiation was 80% and 100%, respectively. The accuracy of PCL for this differentiation was 92.3%. There was only one complication, a small pneumothorax resolved without any intervention. CONCLUSIONS PCL is an alternative method in the differential diagnosis of thin walled pulmonary cavitary lesions especially for patients whose diagnosis could not be made by sputum and bronchoscopic procedures and who are not suitable for cutting needle biopsy.

Abstract
Breast metastases in cases leukemia are very rare and occur primarily in patients with acute myeloid leukemia. We report the involvement of breast metastases in a 30-year-old woman with acute T cell lymphoblastic leukemia. The patient's mammograms revealed an extremely dense pattern with ill-defined, denser mass-like lesions in both breasts. A bilateral breast ultrasonographic evaluation revealed lobular-shaped and partly ill-defined hypoechoic masses with a multi-septated nodular (mottled) appearance.

Abstract
Objective It has been advocated that a reduced injection volume with highly concentrated (1 M) contrast material can produce a sharper bolus peak and an increased intravascular first-pass gadolinium concentration when compared with the use of a lower concentration (0.5 M). A higher concentration would also cause a reduction in dose. The purpose of our study was to test the use of a low dose (0.05 mmol/kg) of gadobutrol in magnetic resonance renography and angiography and compare the findings with a dose of 0.1 mmol/kg. Materials and Methods One-hundred-thirty-four patients referred for magnetic resonance angiography for suspected renovascular disease participated in the study. Contrast enhanced MR renography and angiography were performed after administration of a bolus of 0.1 mmol/kg or 0.05 mmol/kg gadobutrol in randomized patients. The relative signal intensity-time curves of the aorta, peripheral cortex and parenchyma, were obtained. Two radiologists evaluated the angiographic images and evaluated the quality of angiography. Results The signal intensity with a low dose of gadobutrol was significantly lower in early phases, in the peripheral cortex (for 36, 54, 72 and 90 seconds), the parenchyma (for 36, 54, 72 seconds) and the aorta (for 18, 36, 54, 72 seconds). The decreases in the early phase obtained with a low dose of gadobutrol caused blunter time intensity curves. The difference in the quality scores of the readers for the angiographic images for the use of the two different doses was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). Conclusion A lower dose of gadobutrol can be used for MR renal angiography, but for MR renography the normal dose should be used.

Abstract
Primary vascular leiomyosarcoma is a rare tumor, which arises mainly from the inferior vena cava. Clinical signs are non-specific. Systemic metastasis occurs in the late stage. Imaging with color Doppler ultrasonography, contrast-enhanced computed tomography, or magnetic resonance imaging can significantly contribute to the diagnosis. We present a case of leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava that extended into the right renal vein and the right iliac vein, as it is a rare case and emphasize the significance of the imaging methods in its diagnosis.

Abstract
Joubert syndrome is a rare disorder characterized by hypotonia, ataxia, episodic hyperpnoea, psychomotor delay, abnormal ocular movements, and molar tooth sign on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This syndrome is inherited as an autosomal recessive trait, but the molecular basis and specific chromosomal locus have not yet been identified. MRI features are the most important diagnostic criteria. Molar tooth sign was previously described in Joubert syndrome and was found in 85% of patients with Joubert syndrome. Many authors now claim that this finding can be present in other syndromes, including Dekaban-Arima, Senior-Löken, COACH, and Varadi-Papp. We present a 7-month-old girl with Joubert syndrome in whom MRI showed the typical features of this condition. She also had polydactyly, atrial septal defect, and persistent left superior vena cava.
