Abstract
BACKGROUND Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common type of lymphatic tumor; however, extranodal DLBCLs that exhibit initial symptoms in the maxilla and mandible are rare. Moreover, DLBCL is clinically classified as a moderate to highly malignant lymphatic tumor that can progress rapidly; therefore, early diagnosis is crucial. However, diagnosis is difficult as the disease causes a diverse range of clinical symptoms with no characteristic imaging findings. We conducted a clinical investigation to clarify the clinical characteristics of DLBCL that exhibits initial manifestation in the maxilla and mandible. METHODS Of the 2748 patients with malignant tumors of the oral and maxillofacial region examined at our hospital during a period of 11 years between January 2006 and December 2016, 27 primary cases diagnosed with DLBCL based on the chief complaint of symptoms in the gingiva and bone of the maxilla and mandible were enrolled in this study. Evaluations were based on sex, age, whether treatment was provided by a previous physician, symptoms, duration of disease until treatment was sought, clinical diagnosis, laboratory findings, and imaging results. RESULTS There were 15 cases that involved the maxilla and 12 that involved the mandible. The median duration of disease until treatment was sought was 60 d (3-450 d). All cases exhibited a tumor or a mass, and hypoesthesia of the chin was confirmed in eight cases wherein the mandible was involved. The clinical stages were stage I in eight cases, stage II in ten cases, and stage IV in nine cases. Serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels were elevated in 13 of 22 patients. The overall survival rate was 63%. CONCLUSIONS Symptoms associated with nontender swelling and numbness of the lip or chin in the absence of other findings such as dental infections should raise suspicions about DLBCL. Patients should be provided appropriate imaging and accurate biopsy assessments to improve prognosis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Calcifying odontogenic cysts (COC) and adenomatoid odontogenic tumors (AOT) have similar radiographic findings. We examined the radiographic and computed tomography (CT) images of patients histologically diagnosed with COC or AOT and identified their characteristic findings. METHODS The subjects included 12 patients histologically diagnosed with COC or AOT (one female and five males per group), who underwent CT at our hospital between Nov 1998 and Jun 2019. The location of the lesion, impacted tooth, bone expansion, root resorption, tooth migration, calcified body, and presence or absence of a high-intensity zone in the marginal area of the lesion were examined. RESULTS In patients with COC, five patients with COC exhibited bone expansion toward the buccal side. The lesion encompassing the crown was attached to the cement-enamel junction and contained a radiopaque lesion with a calcified body. In 6 patients with COC, irregularly shaped calcified bodies were observed with small tooth-like structures. In patients with AOT, all six patients with AOT exhibited bone expansion toward the buccal and lingual sides. The lesion encompasses a part of the tooth root or the entire tooth. Punctate calcification was observed within the lesion and the marginal area in three patients, and a high-intensity zone was observed in the marginal area of the lesion in two patients. CONCLUSION We report imaging findings that may be characteristic of COC and AOT, suggesting that CT findings may be useful for differentiating between COC and AOT.

Abstract
Purpose To investigate the clinical and imaging characteristics of computed tomography (CT) in novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) caused by SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the imaging findings of patients confirmed with COVID-19 pneumonia who had chest CT scanning and treatment after disease onset. The clinical and imaging data were analyzed. Results Fifty patients were enrolled, including mild type in nine, common in 28, severe in 10 and critically severe in the rest three. Mild patients (29 years) were significantly (P<0.03) younger than either common (44.5 years) or severe (54.7) and critically severe (65.7 years) patients, and common patients were also significantly (P<0.03) younger than severe and critically severe patients. Mild patients had low to moderate fever (<39.1 °C), 49 (98%) patients had normal or slightly reduced leukocyte count, 14 (28%) had decreased counts of lymphocytes, and 26 (52%) patients had increased C-reactive protein. Nine mild patients were negative in CT imaging. For all the other types of NCP, the lesion was in the right upper lobe in 30 cases, right middle lobe in 22, right lower lobe in 39, left upper lobe in 33 and left lower lobe in 36. The lesion was primarily located in the peripheral area under the pleura with possible extension towards the pulmonary hilum. Symmetrical lesions were seen in 26 cases and asymmetrical in 15. The density of lesion was mostly uneven with ground glass opacity as the primary presentation accompanied by partial consolidation and fibrosis. Conclusion CT imaging presentations of NCP are mostly patchy ground glass opacities in the peripheral areas under the pleura with partial consolidation which will be absorbed with formation of fibrotic stripes if improved. CT scanning provides important bases for early diagnosis and treatment of NCP.

Abstract
PURPOSE To identify differential clinical and imaging findings between intra-abdominal desmoid tumors and peritoneal seeding that developed after surgery for colorectal cancer. METHODS 8 patients (9 desmoid tumors) and 11 patients (13 peritoneal seeding masses) were enrolled in our retrospective study. Patients with three or more tumors were excluded. Clinical findings including location of initial tumors, type of surgery, T- and N-stages of initial tumors, time interval between initial surgery and development of intra-abdominal tumors, and level of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) were evaluated. Imaging findings of intra-abdominal tumors including size, number, growth rate, location, shape, homogeneity, relative enhancement, and maximum standardized uptake value were evaluated. The Mann-Whitney U test and Fisher's exact test were used to compare clinical and imaging findings between desmoid tumors and peritoneal seeding. RESULTS In patients with a desmoid tumor, initial T-stage, initial N-stage, and level of CEA at the time of surgery for intra-abdominal tumor were lower than in patients with peritoneal seeding (p = 0.027, p = 0.033, and p = 0.017). The desmoid tumors were frequently located in the small bowel mesentery (p = 0.018) and were larger at detection (p = 0.041). Round or ovoid shapes on CT images were more frequently observed with the desmoid tumors (p = 0.035). CONCLUSIONS Stage of colorectal cancer, CEA level, and location, size, and shape of new intra-abdominal tumors can be helpful for differentiating between intra-abdominal desmoid tumors and peritoneal seeding in patients with a history of colorectal cancer surgery.

Abstract
Schistosomal hepatopathy is widespread in China, and there were more than 30 000 schistosomiasis patients with serious liver fibrosis in 2015. This article reviews the pathological manifestations, clinical presentations, imaging findings as well as imaging diagnosis value of schistosomal hepatopathy, and mainly reviews the progress of the typical imaging manifestations of schistosomal hepatopathy and new imaging methods for evaluating the liver fibrosis.
