Abstract
Facilely synthesized nanoradiosensitizers with well-controlled structure and multifunctionality are greatly desired to address the challenges of cancer radiotherapy. In this work, a universal method is developed for synthesizing chalcogen-based TeSe nano-heterojunctions (NHJs) with rod-, spindle-, or dumbbell-like morphologies by engineering the surfactant and added selenite. Interestingly, dumbbell-shaped TeSe NHJs (TeSe NDs) as chaperone exhibit better radio-sensitizing activities than the other two nanostructural shapes. Meanwhile, TeSe NDs can serve as cytotoxic chemodrugs that degrade to highly toxic metabolites in acidic environment and deplete GSH within tumor to facilitate radiotherapy. More importantly, the combination of TeSe NDs with radiotherapy significantly decreases regulatory T cells and M2-phenotype tumor-associated macrophage infiltrations within tumors to reshape the immunosuppressive microenvironment and induce robust T lymphocytes-mediated antitumor immunity, resulting in great abscopal effects on combating distant tumor progression. This study provides a universal method for preparing NHJ with well-controlled structure and developing nanoradiosensitizers to overcome the clinical challenges of cancer radiotherapy.

Abstract
All-Inorganic perovskite CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) quantum dots (QDs) have attracted tremendous attention in the past few years for their appealing performance in optoelectronic applications. Major properties of CsPbX3 QDs include the positive photoconductivity (PPC) and the defect tolerance of the in-band trap states. Here it is reported that when hybridizing CsPbX3 QDs with indium tin oxide (ITO) nanocrystals to form CsPbX3 -ITO nano-heterojunctions (NHJs), a voltage tuned photoresponse-from PPC to negative photoconductivity (NPC) transform-is achieved in lateral drain-source structured ITO/CsPbX3 -ITO-NHJs/ITO devices. A model combining exciton, charge separation, transport, and most critical the voltage driven electron filling of the in-band trap states with drain-source voltage (VDS ) above a threshold, is proposed to understand this unusual PPC-NPC transform mechanism, which is different from that of any known nanomaterial system. This finding exhibits potentials for developing devices such as photodetectors, optoelectronic switches, and memories.

Abstract
The fabrication of a highly ordered novel ZnO/Si nano-heterojuntion array is introduced. ZnO seed layer is first deposited on the Si (P<111>) surface. The nucleation sites are then defined by patterning the surface through focused ion beam (FIB) system. The ZnO nanorods are grown on the nucleation sites through hydrothermal process. The whole fabrication process is simple, facile and offers direct control of the space, length and aspect ratio of the array. It is found that ZnO/Si nanojunctions show an improved interface when subjected to heat treatment. The recrystallization of ZnO and the tensile lattice strain of Si developed during the heating process contribute the enhancement of their photoresponses to white light. The photoluminescence (PL) measurement result of nano-heterojunction arrays with different parameters is discussed.
