Abstract
Cryptococcosis is a fungal infection caused by Cryptococcus neoformans, which commonly occurs in immunocompromised patients and is often disseminated. Disseminated cryptococcosis generally manifests as pulmonary lesions or meningitis. Sometimes it might affect the gastrointestinal tract, and rare cases have been reported involving the intestine without systemic infection. Here we report a case of cryptococcosis involving the jejunum and mesenteric lymph nodes which contributed to incomplete intestinal obstruction. This case was finally diagnosed by histology and cured by antifungal medication.
