Biography: Dr. Anuj Tripathi is currently holding a scientist position in the Bio-Science Group at Bhabha Atomic Research Center and a faculty at Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai, India. He has completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology and received gold medal. Dr. Tripathi conducted his doctoral research on designing and applications of porous biomaterials being a research fellow at department of Biological Sciences and Bio-engineering, IIT Kanpur, India. He obtained his Ph.D. (Biotechnology) in 2011. He is a recipient of prestigious K.S. Krishnan fellowship (2011-2013) from BRNS-DAE, Government of India. He has been a visiting research fellow at Lund University (Sweden), Cord Blood Centre, Newcastle University (UK), Kyushu University (Japan) and Protista Biotechnology AB, (Sweden). He received several fellowships from different funding organizations of Government of India like DBT, CSIR, DST, ICMR and also from International atomic energy agency (IAEA). Dr. Tripathi has published high quality international peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and has patents in his area of research. He has also edited a book with Springer-Nature publisher on ‘Advances in biomaterials for biomedical applications’ in 2017. He is serving as an editorial member and reviewer in several biomaterials and bioscience journals. Dr. Tripathi is a founding member of Society for Interdisciplinary Research in Materials and Biology (SIRMB), India, executive board member of the Clini-India, a clinical research institute, and life member of several other international science societies. His research outcome has been covered by several national news articles for his contribution to Biomedical and Biomaterial science and received awards from various national and international organizations like Asian Polymer Association (APA), Association of Separation Scientist and Technologists (ASSET), Indian Thermal Analysis Society (ITAS). His research is focuses in the area of novel biomaterials, nanomaterials and superabsorbent hydrogels development by chemical and radiation processing with their progressive advancement in biosensor, tissue engineering, stem cell therapy, bioprocess development, and environmental biotechnology.
