Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical features, pathogen composition, and prognosis of septic shock in pediatric intensive care units (PICU) in China. Methods: A multicenter retrospective cohort study. A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of children with septic shock from 10 hospitals in China between January 2018 and December 2021. The clinical features, pathogen composition, and outcomes were collected. Patients were categorized into malignant tumor and non-malignant tumor groups, as well as survival and mortality groups. T test, Mann Whitney U test or Chi square test were used respectively for comparing clinical characteristics and prognosis between 2 groups. Multiple Logistic regression was used to identify risk factors for mortality. Results: A total of 1 247 children with septic shock were included, with 748 males (59.9%) and the age of 3.1 (0.9, 8.8) years. The in-patient mortality rate was 23.2% (289 cases). The overall pathogen positive rate was 68.2% (851 cases), with 1 229 pathogens identified. Bacterial accounted for 61.4% (754 strains) and virus for 24.8% (305 strains). Among all bacterium, Gram negative bacteria constituted 64.2% (484 strains), with Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter being the most common; Gram positive bacteria comprised 35.8% (270 strains), primarily Streptococcus and Staphylococcus species. Influenza virus (86 strains (28.2%)), Epstein-Barr virus (53 strains (17.4%)), and respiratory syncytial virus (46 strains (17.1%)) were the top three viruses. Children with malignant tumors were older and had higher pediatric risk of mortality (PRISM) Ⅲ score, paediatric sequential organ failure assessment (pSOFA) score (7.9 (4.3, 11.8) vs. 2.3 (0.8, 7.5) years old, 22 (16, 26) vs. 16 (10, 24) points, 10 (5, 14) vs. 8 (4, 12) points, Z=11.32, 0.87, 4.00, all P<0.05), and higher pathogen positive rate, and in-hospital mortality (77.7% (240/309) vs. 65.1% (611/938), 29.7% (92/309) vs. 21.0% (197/938), χ2=16.84, 10.04, both P<0.05) compared to the non-tumor group. In the death group, the score of PRISM Ⅲ, pSOFA (16 (22, 29) vs. 14 (10, 20) points, 8 (12, 15) vs. 6 (3, 9) points, Z=4.92, 11.88, both P<0.05) were all higher, and presence of neoplastic disease, positive rate of pathogen and proportion of invasive mechanical ventilation in death group were also all higher than those in survival group (29.7% (87/289) vs. 23.2% (222/958), 77.8% (225/289) vs. 65.4% (626/958), 73.7% (213/289) vs. 50.6% (485/958), χ2=5.72, 16.03, 49.98, all P<0.05). Multiple Logistic regression showed that PRISM Ⅲ, pSOFA, and malignant tumor were the independent risk factors for mortality (OR=1.04, 1.09, 0.67, 95%CI 1.01-1.05, 1.04-1.12, 0.47-0.94, all P<0.05). Conclusions: Bacterial infection are predominant in pediatric septic shock, but viral infection are also significant. Children with malignancies are more severe and resource consumptive. The overall mortality rate for pediatric septic shock remains high, and mortality are associated with malignant tumor, PRISM Ⅲ and pSOFA scores.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the mid-term efficacy of single anastomosis duodenal-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy (SADI-S) in the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: The cohort of this retrospective observational study comprised 118 obese patients with body mass index (BMI) ≥40 kg/m2 with or without other related metabolic diseases and BMI of (27.5-40.0) kg/m2 with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) who had been treated with SADI-S. Patients who had undergone modified surgery or been followed up for less than 1 year were excluded. Clinical data of the included patients [56 men and 62 women aged (34.5±9.7) years], who had undergone SADI-S in China-Japan Union Hospital, Jilin University from October 2018 to August 2022, were collected. Their mean preoperative body mass was (125.9±25.0) kg and BMI (42.8±6.8) kg/m2. The 60 patients with T2DM had a mean fasting blood glucose of (9.9±3.2) mmol/L and HBA1c of (8.4±1.7) % before surgery. The main outcome measures were mid-term weight loss after surgery (body mass, BMI, excess weight loss, and total weight loss) 1, 2, 3, and 4 years after surgery and efficacy regarding diabetes mellitus (fasting blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin and diabetes remission rate at 1, 2, and 3 years after surgery). Outcomes were defined as follows. Complete remission: HbA1c <6% or fasting blood glucose <6 mmol/L without hypoglycemic medication; partial remission: HBA1c <6.5% or fasting blood glucose <7 mmol/L without hypoglycemic medication; significant improvement: HBA1c <7.0%, stable decrease of at least 1% compared with preoperative HBA1c, and postoperative dose of hypoglycemic medication significantly less; ineffective: no change in HBA1c and no reduction in dosage of hypoglycemic medication. Other outcome measures included intraoperative and postoperative adverse effects and postoperative nutritional indexes. Results: SADI-S was successful in all patients. There was no significant bleeding, conversion to open surgery, or perioperative death. The operation time was (186.1±41.5) minutes, and the postoperative hospital stay 6 (5-7) days. Surgical complications occurred in four patients, comprising peritoneal effusion, internal jugular vein thrombosis, anastomotic leakage, and gastric fistula. Body weight and BMI 1, 2, 3 and 4 years were significantly lower post- than pre-operatively (all P<0.05). Excess weight loss was (81.9±16.2) %, (82.2±15.5) %, (88.3±20.1) %, and (83.2±18.1) % at 1, 2, 3, and 4 years postoperatively, respectively. Total weight loss was (39.7±8.7) %, (40.6±10.6) %, (42.2±11.5) % and (45.4±10.2) %, respectively. The mean fasting blood glucose concentrations of the 60 patients with T2DM were (5.1±1.0) mmol/L, (5.0±0.7) mmol/L, and (5.4±0.9) mmol/L 1, 2 and 3 years postoperatively, respectively. The values for glycosylated hemoglobin were (4.9±0.6) %, (4.8±0.5) %, and (5.1±0.8) %, respectively, all of which are significantly lower than preoperatively (all P<0.05). The complete remission rate of diabetes was 95.0% (38/40), 90.0% (36/40), and 9/13 1, 2, and 3 years postoperatively, respectively. Additionally, the partial remission rate and significant improvement rate were both 100%. Two years postoperatively, the incidence of anemia was 27.8% (10/36), of hypoproteinemia 11.8% (4/34), and of ferritin deficiency 25.8% (8/31), all of which were improved by conservative treatment such as blood transfusion, iron supplementation, and adjustment of diet. Conclusion: SADI-S has a significant mid-term beneficial effect on weight loss and diabetes remission status in patients with obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Annual breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is highly recommended to assist mammography for women at high risk of breast cancer (BC). This study explored the knowledge, attitude, and willingness toward breast MRI screening among women at high risk of BC. METHODS This cross-sectional study enrolled women at high risk of BC between August 2022 and January 2023 in Beijing, China. A structural equation model (SEM) was used to analyze the relationships among knowledge, attitude, and willingness. RESULTS A total of 596 questionnaires were collected, and 412 questionnaires (69.13%) were valid. The women's knowledge and attitude scores were 7.75 ± 2.79 (possible range: 0-12) and 48.53 ± 6.31 (possible range: 13-65). Among the women, 297 (72.09%) were willing to undergo regular breast MRI screening. The SEM showed that knowledge had direct effect on attitude [β = 0.77, 95% CI: (0.57, 0.98), P < 0.001], the attitude had direct effect on willingness [β = 0.02, 95% CI: (0.01, 0.02), P < 0.001], knowledge had an indirect effect on willingness through attitude [β = 0.01, 95% CI: (0.01,0.02), P < 0.001], and the direct effect of knowledge on practice was not significant. CONCLUSIONS The women at high risk of BC had insufficient knowledge and a relatively positive attitude toward breast MRI screening. Most of them were willing to undergo regular breast MRI screening. Advertising and public health education programs should be designed to improve their knowledge and attitude, therefore improving their willingness and practice.

Abstract
Ocean alkalinity enhancement is considered as an effective atmospheric CO2 removal approach, but currently, little is known about the carbon sequestration potential of implementing olivine addition in offshore waters. We investigated the effect of olivine addition on the seawater carbonate system by carrying out a deck incubation experiment in the Northern Yellow Sea; the dissolution rate of olivine was calculated based on the increase in seawater alkalinity (TA), and the CO2 sequestration potential was evaluated. The results showed that the dissolution of olivine increased seawater TA and decreased partial pressure of CO2, resulting in oceanic CO2 uptake from the atmosphere through sea-air exchange; it also increased seawater pH and mitigated ocean acidification to a certain extent. The addition of 1 ‰ olivine had a more significant effect on the seawater carbonate system than 0.5 ‰ olivine addition. The average dissolution rate constant of olivine was 1.44 ± 0.15 μmol m-2 d-1. Assuming that olivine settles completely on the seabed due to gravity, the theoretically maximum amount of CO2 removed by applying 1 tonne of olivine per square meter area in the Northern Yellow Sea is only 2.0 × 10-4 t/m2. Therefore, when olivine addition is implemented in the offshore waters, it is necessary to consider reducing the olivine size, prolonging the settling time of olivine in the water column; and spreading olivine in well-mixed waters to prolong the residence time through repeated resuspension, thus increasing its potential in carbon sequestration.

Abstract
The analysis and comprehension of multi-omics data has emerged as a prominent topic in the field of bioinformatics and data science. However, the sparsity characteristics and high dimensionality of omics data pose difficulties in terms of extracting meaningful information. Moreover, the heterogeneity inherent in multiple omics sources makes the effective integration of multi-omics data challenging To tackle these challenges, we propose MFCC-SAtt, a multi-level feature contrast clustering model based on self-attention to extract informative features from multi-omics data. MFCC-SAtt treats each omics type as a distinct modality and employs autoencoders with self-attention for each modality to integrate and compress their respective features into a shared feature space. By utilizing a multi-level feature extraction framework along with incorporating a semantic information extractor, we mitigate optimization conflicts arising from different learning objectives. Additionally, MFCC-SAtt guides deep clustering based on multi-level features which further enhances the quality of output labels. By conducting extensive experiments on multi-omics data, we have validated the exceptional performance of MFCC-SAtt. For instance, in a pan-cancer clustering task, MFCC-SAtt achieved an accuracy of over 80.38%.

Abstract
This study proposes a compact, low-profile, four-port dual-band monopole multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna array for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communication systems. Each monopole antenna of the array features a modified T-shaped radiator configuration and is printed on a Rogers RT5880 substrate with compact dimensions of 134.96 mm × 134.96 mm × 0.8 mm. A four-element square MIMO configuration with sequential 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270° rotations was integrated smoothly into the UAV body. A prototype of the MIMO array was fabricated and experimentally evaluated, with measured results showing a close correlation to simulated results. The proposed dual-band monopole antenna demonstrated one of the widest impedance bandwidths of 46.15% at 2.4 GHz (2.04 to 3.25 GHz) IEEE 802.11b and 31.85% at 5.8 GHz (5.37 to 7.38 GHz) IEEE 802.11a on a thin 0.0064 λo substrate while achieving high transmission efficiency. The isolation of the proposed four-port MIMO design was measured at 23 dB at 2.4 GHz and 19 dB at 5.8 GHz. The MIMO array's total efficiency of each monopole antenna was measured at 96% at 2.4 GHz and 89% at 5.8 GHz. The design has measured diversity parameters such as an ECC below 0.01 and a DG of approximately 10. Based on these results, the proposed design suits the UAV communication system.

Abstract
With the increasing consumption of organic solvents in chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the environment pollution of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) has become an urgent problem. Therefore, the rapid-visual detection method is of great significance in the analysis of VOCs. Based on the fluorescence quenching/enhancement mechanism of carbon quantum dots (CQDs), with the help of carboxymethyl cellulose membrane with porous and large specific surface area structure, a series of green CQDs@carboxymethyl cellulose composite film (CQDs@CMC composite film) was prepared in this study. In the typical-targeted pollutants (toluene) detection application, a fluorescence spectroscopy method was established which could achieve the high sensitivity and strong specificity detection. The mainly conclusions were as follows: The fluorescence spectrometric detection method for toluene: A kind of hydrophobic Lmi/Bet CQDs@CMC composite film was prepared and characterized with imidazole/betaine CQDs and porous carboxymethyl cellulose composite film as raw materials. The toluene detection performance was studied, and the recognition mechanism was explored. The results showed that toluene enhanced the fluorescence of Lmi/Bet CQDs@CMC composite film. The fluorescence intensity of composite films was proportional to toluene concentration when the toluene concentration ranged from 200 to 2200 mg/L. The detection limit of toluene was 1.169 mg/L, which provides a theoretical basis for the detection of toluene by fluorescence spectrometry.

Abstract
This paper presents the design and analysis of a metamaterial-based compact dual-band antenna for WBAN applications. The antenna is designed and fabricated on a 0.254 mm thick semi-flexible substrate, RT/Duroid® 5880, with a relative permittivity of 2.2 and a loss tangent of 0.0009. The total dimensions of the antenna are 0.26λo×0.19λo×0.002λo, where λo corresponds to the free space wavelength at 2.45 GHz. To enhance overall performance and isolate the antenna from adverse effects of the human body, it is backed by a 2×2 artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) plane. The total volume of the AMC integrated design is 0.55λo×0.55λo×0.002λo. The paper investigates the antenna's performance both with and without AMC integration, considering on- and off-body states, as well as various bending conditions in both E and H-planes. Results indicate that the AMC-integrated antenna gives improved measured gains of 6.61 dBi and 8.02 dBi, with bandwidths of 10.12% and 7.43% at 2.45 GHz and 5.80 GHz, respectively. Furthermore, the AMC integrated antenna reduces the specific absorption rate (SAR) to (>96%) and (>93%) at 2.45 GHz and 5.80 GHz, meeting FCC requirements for low SAR at both frequencies when placed in proximity to the human body. CST Microwave Studio (MWS) and Ansys High-Frequency Structure Simulation (HFSS), both full-wave simulation tools, are utilized to evaluate the antenna's performance and to characterize the AMC unit cell. The simulated and tested results are in mutual agreement. Due to its low profile, high gain, adequate bandwidth, low SAR values, and compact size, the AMC integrated antenna is considered suitable for WBAN applications.

Abstract
Treatment of naphthenic acids (NAs) in wastewater is necessary due to its high toxicity and difficult degradation. In the heterogeneous Fenton-like advanced oxidation of organic pollutant system, the insufficient accessibility of oxidizing agent and NAs greatly hamper the reaction efficiency. CO2-responsive phase transfer materials derived from polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based deep eutectic solvents were specific targeted at the immiscible-binary phase system. The NAs oxidative degradation process was optimized including the kinds of catalyst (Molecular weight of PEG, constitute of DESs, and dosage.), temperature, flow rate of CO2, et al. With the help of fluorescence properties of catalyst, the hydrophilic-hydrophobic interaction was visual-monitored and further studied. The amphipathic property of PEG-200/Sodium persulfate/Polyether amine 230 (PEA230) greatly reduced the aqueous/organic phase transfer barrier between sodium persulfate and NAs (up to 84 %), thus accreting oxidation rate. The surface tension decreased from 35.364 mN/m to 28.595 mN/m. To control the reaction rate, the CO2 respond structure of amido played an important role. In addition, the interfacial transfer intermediates and oxidation pathways were also explored by nuclear magnetic resonance, flourier transform infrared spectroscopy, surface tension, and radical inhibition experiments. The mechanism of advanced oxidation of NAs catalyzed by CO2-responsive phase transfer catalyst was proposed, which would made up for the deficiency of the system theory of heterogeneous chemical oxidation of organic pollutants.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Osteosarcoma is originated from skeletal system. Recombinant human proteoglycan 4 (rhPRG4) can inhibit cell proliferation and migration in multiple cancers. This research is designed to dig out the role and mechanism of PRG4 in osteosarcoma. METHODS Human osteosarcoma cell lines, MG63 and 143B, were transfected with programmed death 1 (PD-L1) overexpression vectors and/or treated with 20, 50, and 100 μg/mL rhPRG4, followed by the determination of cell viability, colony formation, sphere formation, invasion, migration, apoptosis, and the expressions of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), PD-L1 and apoptosis-related proteins. Tumor-bearing mouse models were constructed by injection of 143B cells and treatment of anti-PD-L1 antibody and/or adenovirus PRG4 (AdPRG4). Tumor volume was monitored, and immunohistochemical location of Ki67 was performed. Expressions of MMPs, transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), PD-L1, and epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related proteins were measured in tumors. RESULTS RhPRG4 (20, 50, and 100 μg/mL) inhibited the viability, colony formation, sphere formation, invasion, migration, and the expressions of MMP2, MMP9 and Bcl2 in osteosarcoma cells, while promoting cell apoptosis as well as Bax and c-caspase3 expressions, at a dose-dependent manner; by contrast, PD-L1 overexpression reversed the above effects of 100 μg/mL rhPRG4. AdPRG4 or anti-PD-L1 antibody decreased tumor volume, number of pulmonary metastasis nodule, Ki67 location, and expressions of TGF-β, PD-L1, MMP2, MMP9, Vimentin, and Snail, but increased E-cadherin expression in tumor cells. Moreover, anti-PD-L1 antibody and AdPRG4 together functioned more effectively than them alone in reducing tumor burden. CONCLUSION PRG4 represses the genesis and metastasis of osteosarcoma via inhibiting PD-L1 expression, and AdPRG4 enhances the effectiveness of anti-PD-L1 therapy.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the distribution characteristics of UGT1A1 mutant genes (including enhancers, promoters, and exons 1-5) and further explore the correlation between UGT1A1 genotype and clinical phenotypes in patients with inherited hyperunconjugated bilirubinemia. Methods: Patients diagnosed with hereditary hyperunconjugated bilirubinemia at Nanjing Second Hospital from June 2015 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The UGT1A1 gene was examined using Sanger sequencing in all patients. Complete blood count, liver function, and abdominal imaging examinations were performed. Comparison of categorical variable data using χ(2) testor Fisher percision tests. Comparison of continaous veriable data with normal distribution using t-test. Results: 112 cases (male:female ratio 81:31, aged 9-70 years) had inherited hyperunconjugated bilirubinemia, with a total of 14 mutation sites identified, of which seven were confirmed mutations, and the frequency ranged from high to low: (TA)n accounted for 50%, c.211G>A (p.G71R) accounted for 49.10%, 1456T>G (p.Y486D) accounted for 16.96%, c.686C>A (p.R229W) accounted for 12.5%, 1091C>T (p.P364L) accounted for 8.04%, and c- 3279T>G accounted for 0.982%. Simultaneously, all patients had one to four mutations, of which only one mutation was the most common (55.36%), followed by two mutations (37.5%), and rare three and four mutations (5.36% and 1.78%). There was no statistical significance in total bilirubin (TBil) levels among the four groups (F=0.652, P=0.583). One mutation was most common in (TA)n and c.211G>A (p.G71R), among which TA6/TA7 (n=10) and TA7/TA7 (n=14) mutations were statistically significant in TBil (t=2.143, P=0.043). The c.211G>A (p.G71R) heterozygous (n=9) and isolated (n=15) mutation had no statistical significance in TBil (t=0.382, P=0.706). The GS group accounted for 75%, the intermediate group accounted for 16.9%, and the CNS-Ⅱ group accounted for 8%. TBil was statistically significant among the three groups (F=270.992, P<0.001). There was no statistically significant difference (χ(2)=3.317, P=0.19) between mutation 1 (44 cases, 14 cases, and 4 cases, respectively) and mutations ≥ 2 (40 cases, 5 cases, and 5 cases, respectively) in the GS group, intermediate group, and CNS-II group. Conclusion: The number of UGT1A1 gene mutation sites may have no synergistic effect on TBil levels in patients with inherited hyperunconjugated bilirubinemia. TA7/TA7 mutations are not uncommon, and TBil levels are relatively high.

Abstract
Vaccinia virus (VACV) is a large DNA virus that encodes scores of proteins that modulate the host immune response. VACV protein C4 is one such immunomodulator known to inhibit the activation of both the NF-κB signaling cascade and the DNA-PK-mediated DNA sensing pathway. Here, we show that the N-terminal region of C4, which neither inhibits NF-κB nor mediates interaction with DNA-PK, still contributes to virus virulence. Furthermore, this domain interacts directly and with high affinity to the C-terminal domain of filamin B (FLNB). FLNB is a large actin-binding protein that stabilizes the F-actin network and is implicated in other cellular processes. Deletion of FLNB from cells results in larger VACV plaques and increased infectious viral yield, indicating that FLNB restricts VACV spread. These data demonstrate that C4 has a new function that contributes to virulence and engages the cytoskeleton. Furthermore, we show that the cytoskeleton performs further previously uncharacterized functions during VACV infection. IMPORTANCE Vaccinia virus (VACV), the vaccine against smallpox and monkeypox, encodes many proteins to counteract the host immune response. Investigating these proteins provides insights into viral immune evasion mechanisms and thereby indicates how to engineer safer and more immunogenic VACV-based vaccines. Here, we report that the N-terminal domain of VACV protein C4 interacts directly with the cytoskeletal protein filamin B (FLNB), and this domain of C4 contributes to virus virulence. Furthermore, VACV replicates and spreads better in cells lacking FLNB, thus demonstrating that FLNB has antiviral activity. VACV utilizes the cytoskeleton for movement within and between cells; however, previous studies show no involvement of C4 in VACV replication or spread. Thus, C4 associates with FLNB for a different reason, suggesting that the cytoskeleton has further uncharacterized roles during virus infection.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate respiratory virus infection in children with septic shock in pediatric care units (PICU) in China and its influence on clinical outcomes. Methods: The clinical data of children with septic shock in children's PICU from January 2018 to December 2019 in 10 Chinese hospitals were retrospectively collected. They were divided into the pre-COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 groups according to the onset of disease, and the characteristics and composition of respiratory virus in the 2 groups were compared. Matching age, malignant underlying diseases, bacteria, fungi and other viruses, a new database was generated using 1∶1 propensity score matching method. The children were divided into the respiratory virus group and non-respiratory virus group according to the presence or absence of respiratory virus infection; their clinical characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment were compared by t-test, rank sum test and Chi-square test. The correlation between respiratory virus infection and the clinical outcomes was analyzed by logistic regression. Results: A total of 1 247 children with septic shock were included in the study, of them 748 were male; the age was 37 (11, 105) months. In the pre-and post-COVID-19 groups, there were 530 and 717 cases of septic shock, respectively; the positive rate of respiratory virus was 14.9% (79 cases) and 9.8% (70 cases); the seasonal distribution of septic shock was 28.9% (153/530) and 25.9% (185/717) in autumn, and 30.3% (161/530) and 28.3% (203/717) in winter, respectively, and the corresponding positive rates of respiratory viruses were 19.6% (30/153) and 15.7% (29/185) in autumn, and 21.1% (34/161) and 15.3% (31/203) in winter, respectively. The positive rates of influenza virus and adenovirus in the post-COVID-19 group were lower than those in the pre-COVID-19 group (2.1% (15/717) vs. 7.5% (40/530), and 0.7% (5/717) vs. 3.2% (17/530), χ2=21.51 and 11.08, respectively; all P<0.05). Rhinovirus virus were higher than those in the pre-Covid-19 group (1.7% (12/717) vs. 0.2% (1/530), χ2=6.51, P=0.011). After propensity score matching, there were 147 cases in both the respiratory virus group and the non-respiratory virus group. Rate of respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress, rate of disseminated coagulation dysfunction, and immunoglobulin usage of the respiratory virus group were higher than those of non-respiratory virus group (77.6% (114/147) vs. 59.2% (87/147), 17.7% (26/147) vs. 4.1% (6/147), 15.6% (25/147) vs. 4.1% (7/147), and 35.4% (52/147) vs. 21.4% (32/147); χ2=11.07, 14.02, 11.06 and 6.67, all P<0.05); and PICU hospitalization of the former was longer than that of the later (7 (3, 16) vs. 3 (1, 7)d, Z=5.01, P<0.001). Univariate logistic regression analysis showed that the presence of respiratory viral infection was associated with respiratory failure, disseminated coagulation dysfunction, the use of mechanical ventilation, and the use of immunoglobulin and anti-respiratory viral drugs (OR=2.42, 0.22, 0.25, 0.56 and 1.12, all P<0.05). Conclusions: The composition of respiratory virus infection in children with septic shock is different between pre and post-COVID-19. Respiratory viral infection is associated with organ dysfunction in children with septic shock. Decreasing respiratory viral infection through respiratory protection may improve the clinical outcome of these children.

Abstract
In this paper, we investigated leader-following consensus control for nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) experiencing denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. We proposed a distributed control strategy incorporating an adaptive scheme and a state feedback control gain to eliminate the effects of system nonlinear dynamics and uncertainties. In addition, we introduced a dynamic event-triggered control (DETC) to minimize the utilization of communication resources. Finally, we provided simulation results to show the validity of the proposed approach.

Abstract
SS 433 is a microquasar, a stellar binary system that launches collimated relativistic jets. We observed SS 433 in gamma rays using the High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S.) and found an energy-dependent shift in the apparent position of the gamma-ray emission from the parsec-scale jets. These observations trace the energetic electron population and indicate that inverse Compton scattering is the emission mechanism of the gamma rays. Our modeling of the energy-dependent gamma-ray morphology constrains the location of particle acceleration and requires an abrupt deceleration of the jet flow. We infer the presence of shocks on either side of the binary system, at distances of 25 to 30 parsecs, and that self-collimation of the precessing jets forms the shocks, which then efficiently accelerate electrons.

Abstract
BACKGROUND We conducted a meta-analysis to provide evidence-based results for the predictive values of sarcopenia, skeletal muscle index, psoas muscle index and the myosteatosis regarding the impact of survival outcomes and tumor response in patients treated by trans-arterial (chemo)-embolization (TAE/TACE), thereby optimizing therapeutic strategies and maximizing clinical benefits for hepatocellular carcinoma patients. METHODS Qualified studies were retrieved from PubMed, the Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and Google Scholar before June 19, 2023. We investigated the relationships between sarcopenia, SMI, PMI, myosteatosis, and the overall survival of TAE/TACE-treated hepatocellular carcinoma patients with pooling data. RESULTS A total of 167 studies were collected and 12 studies were finally included for analysis. The meta-analysis assisted that the sarcopenia (HR: 1.46, 95% CI: 1.30-1.64, p < 0.001), skeletal muscle index (HR: 1.48, 95% CI: 1.29-1.69, p < 0.001), and psoas muscle index (HR: 1.45, 95% CI: 1.19-1.77, p < 0.001) were significantly related to a shorter OS of hepatocellular carcinoma patients who treated by TAE/TACE. Sarcopenia significantly contributed to a lower objective response rate of TAE/TACE treated hepatocellular carcinoma patients (OR: 0.80, 95% CI: 0.65-0.98, p = 0.032). But there was no significant association between the myosteatosis and the overall survival (HR: 1.29, 95% CI: 0.74-2.25, p = 0.366). Sensitivity analysis supported the stability and dependability of above analyses conclusions. CONCLUSION Sarcopenia, skeletal muscle index and psoas muscle index, are significant prognostic predictors for TAE/TACE treated hepatocellular carcinoma patients. While myosteasis does not demonstrate a prognostic impact on the overall survival of TAE/TACE treated hepatocellular carcinoma patients.

Abstract
Both NO and GAs are essential for regulating various physiological processes and stress responses in plants. However, the interaction between these two molecules remains unclear. We investigated the distinct response patterns of Arabidopsis thaliana Col-0 and GA synthesis functional deficiency mutants to NO by measuring root length. To investigate underlying mechanisms, we detected bioactive GA content using UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS, assessed the accumulation of ROS by chemical staining Arabidopsis roots. We also conducted RNA-seq analysis and compared results between Col-0 and ga3ox1, with and without SNP (as NO donor) treatment. Phenotypic results revealed that the inhibitory effect of NO on primary roots of Arabidopsis was primarily mediated by GA3-oxidase, rather than GA20-oxidase or GA2-oxidase. The content of GA3 decreased in Col-0 treated with SNP, whereas this decrease was not observed in ga3ox1. The deficiency of GA3-oxidase alleviated the buildup of H2 O2 in roots when treated with SNP. We identified 222 DEGs. GO annotation of these DEGs revealed that all top 20 GO terms were related to stress responses. Moreover, three DEGs were annotated to GA-related processes (DDF1, DDF2, EXPA1), and seven DEGs were associated with root development (RAV1, RGF2, ERF71, ZAT6, MYB77, XT1, and DTX50). In summary, NO inhibits primary root growth partially by repressing GA3-oxidase catalysed GA3 synthesis in Arabidopsis. ROS, Ca2+ , DDF1, DDF2, EXPA1 and seven root development-related genes may be involved in crosstalk between NO and GAs.

Abstract
Objective To explore bronchial balloon dilation (BD) combined with cryotherapy and Photoshop (PS)-base image processing technology in the interventional treatment of tuberculous cicatricial central airway stenosis (CCAS). Methods This multicenter, retrospective study analyzed the clinical data of patients with CCAS from six hospitals in Henan, China between June 2019 and October 2022. Results A total of 307 patients were included, including 152 (62 males) treated with BD alone and 155 (54 males) treated with BD combined with cryotherapy. One month after treatment, compared with the BD group, the total response rate [133 (85.8) vs. 105 (69.1), P < 0.001] and occurrence of restenosis at 1-monthaftertreatment [22 (14.2 %) vs. 47 (30.9 %), P < 0.001] in BD & cryotherapy group were significantly higher; furthermore, the inner diameter of the airway stenosis (8.1 ± 0.9 mm vs. 6.4 ± 1.5 mm, P < 0.001), the cross-sectional area of the airway stenosis (51.6 ± 7.8 mm2 vs. 33.1 ± 11.6 mm2, P < 0.001), FEV1 (5.26 ± 0.42 L vs. 4.32 ± 0.31 L, P < 0.001), and PEF (5.72 ± 0.36 L/s vs. 4.56 ± 0.42 L/s, P < 0.001) in BD & cryotherapy group showed significantly more improvements. Moreover, Pearson's correlation analysis showed significantly strong positive correlation (r = 0.818,P < 0.001) between the cross-sectional area of airway stenosis measured by PS-base image processing technology and the inner diameter of airway stenosis measured by chest CT. Conclusion BD combined with cryotherapy for the interventional treatment of CCAS might be superior to BD alone. PS-base image processing technology might be used as a supplement strategy for measuring the degree of central airway stenosis.

Abstract
Non-atypical endometrial hyperplasia is a benign disease without significant somatic genetic changes. Postmenopausal women with non-atypical endometrial hyperplasia have a significant risk of progression to endometrial cancer and persistent endometrial hyperplasia. Most cases of atypical endometrial hyperplasia in postmenopausal women are treated surgically, including hysterectomy. At present, the treatment of postmenopausal women with non-atypical endometrial hyperplasia is still controversial. Correct and timely diagnosis and treatment are of great significance to prevent progression of the lesion. This study mainly provides an updated synthesis of the literature that investigates the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of postmenopausal women with non-atypical endometrial hyperplasia. As of December 2022, a literature search related to postmenopausal non-atypical endometrial hyperplasia was conducted on the PubMed database. For most postmenopausal patients with non-atypical endometrial hyperplasia, regular re-examination should be performed during conservative treatment. For postmenopausal patients with endometrial cancer risk factors, persistent non-atypical endometrial hyperplasia or progesterone contraindications, hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy should be the first choice.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Bone marrow sparing intensity modulated radiotherapy (BMS-IMRT) can reduce the incidence of acute hematologic toxicity (HT) for locoregionally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) patients receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT), but the norm has been controversial. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effects of bone marrow (BM) V40 <25% on decreasing the incidence of acute HT in a prospective clinical trial. MATERIALS/METHODS A total of 242 LACC patients were recruited from May 2021 to May 2022, who were evenly randomized into BMS-IMRT group and standard IMRT group according to a computer-generated random number list. All patients received pelvic irradiation with concurrent cisplatin (40 mg/m2 weekly), followed by brachytherapy. For patients in BMS-IMRT group, the outer contour of pelvic bone, lumbar spine and left and right femur heads were additionally delineated as a surrogate for BM, and V40 <25% was prescribed. Blood counts were tested weekly, of which nadirs during external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) were graded to assess acute HT as primary observation index. Second observation index were dosimetric parameters of EBRT plan from the dose volume histograms (DVHs). Binary logistic regression model and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were used for predictive value analysis. RESULTS Baseline demographic, disease and treatment characteristics were all balanced between BMS-IMRT group and standard IMRT group. BMS-IMRT was associated with a lower incidence of grade ≥2 and grade ≥3 acute HT, leukopenia and neutropenia (72.70% vs 90.90%, P <0.001*; 16.50% vs 65.30%, P <0.001*; 66.10% vs 85.10%, P = 0.001*; 13.20% vs 54.50%, P <0.001*; 37.20% vs 66.10%, P <0.001*; 10.70% vs 43.80%, P <0.001*). Plan target volume (PTV) for all patients satisfied the clinical requirement of V(100%) ≥95%, and conformity and homogeneity were both comparable between 2 groups. BMS also decreased dose delivered to the organs at risk (OARs) including rectum, bladder and left and right femur head. Univariate and multivariate analyses showed that BM V40 was an independent risk factor for grade ≥3 acute HT (odds ratio [OR] = 2.734, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.959-3.815, P <0.001*). Cutoff value was 25.036% and area under the curve (AUC) was 0.786. The nomogram was constructed, which was rigorously evaluated and internally cross-validated, showing good predictive performance. CONCLUSION BM V40 <25% can reduce the risks of acute HT for LACC patients receiving CCRT while the dose delivery of target volume and other normal tissues were not compromised. With great practicality and applicability, BM V40 <25% is a promising strategy, making BMS-IMRT widespread especially in the area where application of image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) such as 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (18FDG-PET)/CT is not popularized. Abstract
This study aimed to explore the biological role and mechanism underlying the effects of colon cancer-associated transcript 2 (CCAT2), a long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) in human laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). CCAT2 expression levels in clinical LSCC samples and TU-212 cell line were evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR. The correlation of CCAT2 expression level with clinical-pathological characteristics of patients and their prognosis was analyzed. The functional role of CCAT2 in human LSCC was assessed by Cell Counting Kit-8, Transwell assay, flow cytometric analysis, and LSCC xenograft experiment in vivo. The expression of potential targeted proteins was detected by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. We found that expression of CCAT2 was significantly elevated in LSCC tissues and TU-212 cells (p<0.05). Survival analysis showed that LSCC patients with high expression of CCAT2 had a shorter 5-year overall survival rate than those with low expression (p<0.05). In addition, CCAT2 silencing with short hairpin RNA significantly decreased the proliferative and invasive potential of TU-212 cells (p<0.05) and promoted their apoptosis. In Nude mice, CCAT2 knockdown suppressed the growth of tumor and decreased its volume and weight in comparison with the controls (p<0.05). In TU-212 cells, CCAT2 silencing with short hairpin RNA significantly down-regulated the expression of β-catenin and CDK8 (p<0.05). Thus, knockdown of CCAT2 suppresses proliferation and invasion of the cells and inhibits Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in LSCC, which indicates novel therapeutic targets and prognostic indicators in patients with LSCC.

Abstract
Nucleoside analogues and nucleotide analogues can not only achieve long-term viral suppression in the treatment of most CHB patients but also have a positive impact on other CHB therapeutic goals and an improved prognosis. A certain difference can be observed in the impact of nucleotide analogues such as TDF and TAF and nucleoside analogues such as ETV on the clinical outcomes of CHB. Studies on the mechanism of action indicate that apart from inhibiting the direct antiviral effects of HBV reverse transcriptase, these two categories of drugs exhibit distinct impacts on immune-related signaling pathways, gene expression, genome stability, and other non-antiviral mechanisms. This article reviews the evidence on the potential non-antiviral mechanism of action of nucleoside analogues and nucleotide analogues and proposes a preliminary explanation for the observation trend of nucleotide analogues having a comparative advantage in clinical outcomes in CHB patients based on the latest research advancement.

Value of radiomics in differentiating synchronous double primary lung adenocarcinomas from intrapulmonary metastasis. J Thorac Dis 2023; 15:3685-3698. Abstract
BACKGROUND Distinguishing synchronous double primary lung adenocarcinoma (SDPLA) from intrapulmonary metastasis (IPM) of lung cancer has significant therapeutic and prognostic values. This study aimed to develop and validate a CT-based radiomics model to differentiate SDPLA from IPM. METHODS A total of 153 patients (93 SDPLA and 60 IPM) with 306 pathologically confirmed lesions were retrospectively studied. CT morphological features were also recorded. Region of interest (ROI) segmentation was performed semiautomatically, and 1,037 radiomics features were extracted from every segmented lesion The differences of radiomics features were defined as the relative net difference in radiomics features between the two lesions on CT. Those low reliable (ICC <0.75) and redundant (r>0.9) features were excluded by intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) and Pearson's correlation. Multivariate logistic regression (LR) algorithm was used to establish the classification model according to the selected features. The radiomics model was based on the four most contributing differences of radiomics features. Clinical-CT model and MixModel were based on selected clinical and CT features only and the combination of clinical-CT and Rad-score, respectively. RESULTS In both the training and testing cohorts, the area under the curves (AUCs) of the radiomics model were larger than those of the clinical-CT model (0.944 vs. 0.793 and 0.886 vs. 0.735 on training and testing cohorts, respectively), and statistically significant differences between the two models in the testing set were found (P<0.001). Meanwhile, three radiologists had sensitivities of 84.2%, 63.9%, and 68.4%, and specificities of 76.9%, 69.2%, and 76.9% in differentiating 19 SDPLA cases from 13 cases of IPM in the testing set. Compared with the performance of the three radiologists, the radiomics model showed better accuracy to the patients in both the training and testing cohorts. Among the three models, the radiomics model showed the best net benefits. CONCLUSIONS The differences of radiomics features showed excellent diagnostic performance for preoperative differentiation between synchronous double primary lung adenocarcinoma from interpulmonary metastasis, superior to the clinical model and decisions made by radiologists.
