Abstract
The β-delayed one- and two-neutron emission probabilities (P_{1n} and P_{2n}) of 20 neutron-rich nuclei with N≥82 have been measured at the RIBF facility of the RIKEN Nishina Center. P_{1n} of ^{130,131}Ag, ^{133,134}Cd, ^{135,136}In, and ^{138,139}Sn were determined for the first time, and stringent upper limits were placed on P_{2n} for nearly all cases. β-delayed two-neutron emission (β2n) was unambiguously identified in ^{133}Cd and ^{135,136}In, and their P_{2n} were measured. Weak β2n was also detected from ^{137,138}Sn. Our results highlight the effect of the N=82 and Z=50 shell closures on β-delayed neutron emission probability and provide stringent benchmarks for newly developed macroscopic-microscopic and self-consistent global models with the inclusion of a statistical treatment of neutron and γ emission. The impact of our measurements on r-process nucleosynthesis was studied in a neutron star merger scenario. Our P_{1n} and P_{2n} have a direct impact on the odd-even staggering of the final abundance, improving the agreement between calculated and observed Solar System abundances. The odd isotope fraction of Ba in r-process-enhanced (r-II) stars is also better reproduced using our new data.

Abstract
We have performed the first direct measurement of two resonances of the ^{7}Be(α,γ)^{11}C reaction with unknown strengths using an intense radioactive ^{7}Be beam and the DRAGON recoil separator. We report on the first measurement of the 1155 and 1110 keV resonance strengths of 1.73±0.25(stat)±0.40(syst) eV and 125_{-25}^{+27}(stat)±15(syst) meV, respectively. The present results have reduced the uncertainty in the ^{7}Be(α,γ)^{11}C reaction rate to ∼9.4%-10.7% over T=1.5-3 GK, which is relevant for nucleosynthesis in the neutrino-driven outflows of core-collapse supernovae (νp process). We find no effect of the new, constrained reaction rate on νp-process nucleosynthesis.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Life expectancies for patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) have dramatically increased in recent years, accompanied by a rise in atrial fibrillation (AF) prevalence. Data on AF ablation strategy and outcomes are limited in CHD.
Purpose
We aimed to investigate the characteristics of CHD patients presenting for AF ablation and their outcomes.
Methods
A multicenter, retrospective analysis was performed of CHD patients undergoing AF ablation between 2004 and 2020 at 13 participating centers. The severity of CHD was classified using the 2014 PACES/HRS guidelines. Clinical data were collected including ablation strategy and follow up. One-year procedural success was defined as freedom from AF in the absence of antiarrhythmic drugs (AADs, complete) or including previously failed AADs (partial).
Results
Of 240 patients, 127 (53.4%) had persistent AF, 62.5% were male, and mean age was 55.2±0.9 years. CHD complexity categories included 147 (61.3%) simple, 69 (28.8%) intermediate and 25 (10.4%) severe. The most common CHD type was atrial septal defect (n=78). More complex CHD conditions included transposition of the great arteries (n=14), anomalous pulmonary veins (n=13), tetralogy of Fallot (n=8), cor triatriatum (n=7), single ventricle physiology (n=2), among others. The majority (71.3%) of patients had AF despite at least one AAD. 46 patients (22.1%) had a reduced systemic ventricular ejection fraction <50%, and the mean left atrial diameter was 44.1±0.7 mm. PV isolation (PVI) was performed in 227 patients (94.6%); additional ablation strategies included left atrial linear ablations (25.4%), CFAE (19.2%), and cavotricuspid isthmus ablation (40.8). One-year complete and partial success rates were 45.0% and 20.5%, respectively, with no significant difference in the rate of complete success between complexity groups. Overall, 38 patients (15.8%) required more than one ablation procedure. There were 3 (1.3%) major and 13 (5.4%) minor procedural complications.
Conclusion
AF ablation in this complex population was safe and resulted in AF control in the majority of patients. Future work should address the most appropriate ablation targets in the challenging population.

Abstract
Osteoporosis is a bone disease characterized by low bone mineral density (BMD) and impaired bone microarchitecture due to the abnormal activity of osteoclasts. Cathelicidins are antimicrobial peptides present in the lysosomes of macrophages and polymorphonuclear leukocytes. LL-37, a cathelicidin, induces various biological effects, including modulation of the immune system, angiogenesis, wound healing, cancer growth, as well as inflammation, and bone loss. A previous study reported direct involvement of LL-37 suppressing osteoclastogenesis in humans. Here, we examined the role of LL-37 in the treatment of osteoporosis using an ovariectomy (OVX) rat model. Our results showed that LL-37 significantly reduced bone loss and pathological injury in OVX rats with osteoporosis. Furthermore, we found that LL-37 significantly increased the activity of the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway in OVX rats with osteoporosis, including the increased expression of beta-catenin, Osterix (Osx), and Runt-related transcription factor 2 (Runx2), whereas XAV-939, an inhibitor of the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway, significantly blocked the effects of LL-37 on bone loss and abnormal bone metabolism. Altogether, our findings suggested that LL-37 exerted a protective role in regulating bone loss and abnormal bone metabolism in rats with osteoporosis by activating the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the influence of positioning accuracy of the multi-leaf collimators (MLC) on the passing rate of the plan dose verification for volumetric modulation arc therapy (VMAT) of cervical cancer using an Elekta linear accelerator. METHODS The dose distributions were measured using Sun Nuclear's Mapcheck and Arccheck semiconductors matrix before and after MLC calibration in30 cervical cancer patients undergoing VMAT. Dosimetric comparisons were performed with 2D and 3D gamma passing rates of 3%, 3 mm and 2%, and 2 mm. The 3D gamma distribution was reconstructed with respect to the patient's anatomy using 3DVH software to evaluate the possible influence of MLC positioning accuracy. RESULTS Before and after MLC calibration, the gamma passing rates of Mapcheck were (88.80±1.81)% and (99.25 ± 0.53)% under 3% and 3 mm standard, respectively, with an average increase of 10.45%. The corresponding gamma passing rates of Arccheck were (87.61±1.98)% and (98.13±0.99)%, respectively, with an average increase of 10.52%. The gamma passing rates of 3DVH were (89.87±2.28)% and (98.3±1.15)%, respectively, with an average increase of 8.43%. CONCLUSION The MLC positioning accuracy is one of the main factors influencing dosimetric accuracy of VMAT for cervical cancer. The application of Autocal software facilitates MLC calibration and improves the accuracy and safety of VMAT delivery for cervical cancer.

Does the Patient-Centred Questionnaire-Infertility (PCQ-Infertility) validate in China? Do patients experience different on patient-centredness in public fertility care compared to that in private fertility care?
Summary answer
PCQ-Infertility is valid in China. The patients in private fertility care have better experiences on patient-centredness than that in publicly fertility from results of PCQ-Infertility.
What is known already
Patient-centredness is one of the most important elements of quality of care. The PCQ-Infertility has validated to be a reliable tool to assess the extent of patient-centredness of fertility care in many countries, cross European counties to New Zealand. In China, physicians in many hospitals have recognized the importance of patient-centred infertility care, but lack of using instrument to measure it and then to improve it.
Study design, size, duration
This is a cross-sectional study. A survey with written questionnaire was performed among patients who diagnosed with infertility in Reproductive Medical Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University (publicly funded fertility care and Reproductive Medical Center of Hainan Modern Women and Children’s Hospital (private funded fertility care) between July and December 2021.
Participants/materials, setting, methods
In this study, 315 patients and 189 patients completed the survey at two reproductive medical centers. We used patient’s questionnaires to collect data on the patients’ experience with the quality of care. The PCQ-Infertility content, besides background questions, the questionnaire included 46 care aspects. Psychometric tests included inter-item and reliability analyses. An elaborate multivariate multilevel regression analysis was performed to assess the PCQs ability to measure differences in patient-centredness between reproductive medical centers.
Main results and the role of chance
The questionnaire was completed by 315 and 189 patients from the two hospitals. Patients’ mean scores on overall patient-centredness and the eight subscales (possible range 0–3) were calculated. High scores represent positive experiences with care. Both private and public hospitals scored high on care organization and communication. The lowest scores for both hospitals were the subscale, namely,‘information’. The significant differences between two hospitals were in “accessibility, respect for patient’s values, continuity and transition”.
Limitations, reasons for caution
This study is cross-sectional, the sample size is small, and enrolled fertility care centers are only two.
Wider implications of the findings
The PCQ-infertility is encouraged to be used in China to measure the patient-centredness, and can be adopted for quality improvement especially for publicly funded fertility care.

Abstract
We present the precision measurement of 2824 daily helium fluxes in cosmic rays from May 20, 2011 to October 29, 2019 in the rigidity interval from 1.71 to 100 GV based on 7.6×10^{8} helium nuclei collected with the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) aboard the International Space Station. The helium flux and the helium to proton flux ratio exhibit variations on multiple timescales. In nearly all the time intervals from 2014 to 2018, we observed recurrent helium flux variations with a period of 27 days. Shorter periods of 9 days and 13.5 days are observed in 2016. The strength of all three periodicities changes with time and rigidity. In the entire time period, we found that below ∼7 GV the helium flux exhibits larger time variations than the proton flux, and above ∼7 GV the helium to proton flux ratio is time independent. Remarkably, below 2.4 GV a hysteresis between the helium to proton flux ratio and the helium flux was observed at greater than the 7σ level. This shows that at low rigidity the modulation of the helium to proton flux ratio is different before and after the solar maximum in 2014.

Abstract
The ^{30}P(p,γ)^{31}S reaction plays an important role in understanding the nucleosynthesis of A≥30 nuclides in oxygen-neon novae. The Gaseous Detector with Germanium Tagging was used to measure ^{31}Cl β-delayed proton decay through the key J^{π}=3/2^{+}, 260-keV resonance. The intensity I_{βp}^{260}=8.3_{-0.9}^{+1.2}×10^{-6} represents the weakest β-delayed, charged-particle emission ever measured below 400 keV, resulting in a proton branching ratio of Γ_{p}/Γ=2.5_{-0.3}^{+0.4}×10^{-4}. By combining this measurement with shell-model calculations for Γ_{γ} and past work on other resonances, the total ^{30}P(p,γ)^{31}S rate has been determined with reduced uncertainty. The new rate has been used in hydrodynamic simulations to model the composition of nova ejecta, leading to a concrete prediction of ^{30}Si:^{28}Si excesses in presolar nova grains and the calibration of nuclear thermometers.

Abstract
Pertussis, caused by the gram-negative bacterium Bordetella pertussis, is a highly contagious respiratory disease. Intranasal vaccination is an ideal strategy to prevent pertussis, as the nasal mucosa represents the first-line barrier to B. pertussis infection. The current intramuscular acellular pertussis (aP) vaccines elicit strong antibody and Th2-biased responses but not necessary cellular and mucosal immunity. Here, we formulated two cyclic dinucleotide (CDN)-adjuvanted aP subunit vaccines, a mammalian 2’,3’-cGAMP-adjuvanted aP vaccine and a bacterial-derived c-di-GMP-adjuvanted aP vaccine, and evaluated their immunogenicity in a mouse model. We found that the aP vaccine alone delivered intranasally (IN) induced moderate systemic and mucosal humoral immunity but weak cellular immunity, whereas the alum-adjuvanted aP vaccine administered intraperitoneally elicited higher Th2 and systemic humoral immune responses but weaker Th1 and Th17 and mucosal immune responses. In contrast, both CDN-adjuvanted aP vaccines administered via the IN route induced robust humoral and cellular immunity systemically and mucosally. Furthermore, the c-di-GMP-adjuvanted aP vaccine generated better antibody production and stronger Th1 and Th17 responses than the 2′,3′-cGAMP-adjuvanted aP vaccine. In addition, following B. pertussis challenge, the group of mice that received IN immunization with the c-di-GMP-adjuvanted aP vaccine showed better protection than all other groups of vaccinated mice, with decreased inflammatory cell infiltration in the lung and reduced bacterial burden in both the upper and lower respiratory tracts. In summary, the c-di-GMP-adjuvanted aP vaccine can elicit a multifaceted potent immune response resulting in robust bacterial clearance in the respiratory tract, which indicates that c-di-GMP can serve as a potential mucosal adjuvant for the pertussis vaccine.

Abstract
Type I X-ray bursts (XRBs) are the most frequently observed thermonuclear explosions in nature. The 22Mg(α,p)25Al reaction plays a critical role in XRB models. However, experimental information is insufficient to deduce a precise 22Mg(α,p)25Al reaction rate for the respective XRB temperature range. A new measurement of 25Al+p resonant scattring was performed up to the astrophysically interested energy region of 22Mg(α,p)25Al. Several resonances were observed in the excitation functions, and their level properties have been determined based on an R-matrix analysis. In particular, proton widths and spin-parities of four natural-parity resonances above the α threshold of 26Si, which can contribute the reaction rate of 22Mg(α,p)25Al, were first experimentally determined.

Abstract
15O(α,γ)19Ne is regarded as one of the most important thermonuclear reactions in type I X-ray bursts. For studying the properties of the key resonance in this reaction using β decay, the existing Proton Detector component of the Gaseous Detector with Germanium Tagging (GADGET) assembly is being upgraded to operate as a time projection chamber (TPC) at FRIB. This upgrade includes the associated hardware as well as software and this paper mainly focusses on the software upgrade. The full detector set up is simulated using the ATTPCROOTv 2 data analysis framework for 20Mg and 241Am.

Abstract
Sensitivity studies have shown that the 15O(α, γ)19Ne reaction is the most important reaction rate uncertainty affecting the shape of light curves from Type I X-ray bursts. This reaction is dominated by the 4.03 MeV resonance in 19Ne. Previous measurements by our group have shown that this state is populated in the decay sequence of 20Mg. A single 20Mg(βp α)15O event through the key 15O(α, γ)19Ne resonance yields a characteristic signature: the emission of a proton and alpha particle. To achieve the granularity necessary for the identification of this signature, we have upgraded the Proton Detector of the Gaseous Detector with Germanium Tagging (GADGET) into a time projection chamber to form the GADGET II detection system. GADGET II has been fully constructed, and is entering the testing phase.

Abstract
Experimental studies on astrophysical reactions involving radioactive isotopes (RI) often accompany technical challenges. Studies on such nuclear reactions have been conducted at the low-energy RI beam separator CRIB, operated by Center for Nuclear Study, the University of Tokyo. We discuss two cases of astrophysical reaction studies at CRIB; one is for the 7Be+n reactions which may affect the primordial 7Li abundance in the Big-Bang nucleosynthesis, and the other is for the 22Mg(α, p) reaction relevantin X-raybursts.

Abstract
Oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) caused by areca nut chewing is a prevalent fibrotic disease in Asia-Pacific countries. Arecoline-induced migration of fibroblasts (FBs) plays a vital role in the development of OSF. However, the specific molecular mechanisms involved remain unclear. Many studies have shown that tyrosine sulphation of chemokines can influence cell migration. Herein, we demonstrated that arecoline stimulates tyrosine sulphation of the chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) through the tyrosylprotein sulphotransferase-1 (TPST-1) to enhance the migration ability of FBs. Moreover, by RNA-Seq analysis, we found that the most significantly altered pathway was the EGFR pathway after the arecoline stimulation for FBs. After the knockdown of arecoline-induced EGFR expression, the tyrosine sulphation of CXCR4 was significantly decreased by the inhibition of TPST-1 induction. Finally, in human OSF specimens, TPST-1 expression was directly correlated with the expression of CXCR4. These data indicate that the arecoline-induced tyrosine sulphation of CXCR4, which is regulated by TPST-1, might be a potential mechanism that contributes to FB migration in OSF.

Abstract
HLA (HLA) class II molecules, HLA-DR, DP, and DQ, together with HLA II-like protein DM, play a dominant role in the processing and presentation of antigens, which may influence vaccine effectiveness. We previously demonstrated that variations in the HLA-DRB1, DPB1, and DQB1 genes may affect the neutralising antibody (NAb) response induced by the inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine (IJEV). In the present study, we genotyped HLA-DPA1, DQA1, DMA, and DMB genes and used previous HLA-DRB1, DPB1, and DQB1 data to evaluate the association of these genes with IJEV-induced NAbs, at both the seroconversion and geometric mean titres (GMTs). We confirmed the seropositive association of DQB1*02:01 and NAbs (0.156 vs. 0.075, Padj = 0.018; OR = 2.270; 95% CI = 1.285-3.999) and seronegative association of DQB1*02:02 (0.014 vs. 0.09, Padj = 0.0002; OR = 0.130; 95% CI = 0.047-0.400). Furthermore, the DMB*01:03-DMA*01:01-DPA1*01:03-DPB1*04:01 haplotype was associated with a negative response (0.020 vs. 0.074; Padj = 0.03; OR = 0.250; 95% CI = 0.097-0.649), whereas DRB1*15:02-DMB*01:01-DMA*01:01 was associated with a positive response (0.034 vs. 0; Padj = 0.044). In addition, DRB1*12:02, DRB1*13:02, DPB1*04:01, DPB1*05:01, DPB1*09:01, DQA1*06:01, and DQA1*01:02 were associated with a higher GMT of NAbs, whereas DRB1*11:01, DPB1*13:01, and DQA1*05:05 were associated with a lower GMT of NAbs. In conclusion, the present study suggests that variations in the HLA-DM and HLA class II genes, as well as their combined allotypes, may influence the IJEV NAbs at seroconversion and GMT levels. Abstract
Objective: To observe the changes of serum uric acid levels and clinical characteristic in patients with chronic hepatitis C combined with hyperuricemia after direct antiviral agents (DAA) therapy. Methods: A prospective cohort study was used to investigate the risk of hyperuricemia in patients with chronic hepatitis C who received DAA treatment to obtain sustained virological response. The changes and factors influencing serum uric acid levels after 12 weeks of DAA treatment were observed. Comparisons between groups were performed using χ (2) test or Fisher's exact test, analysis of variance, Student's t test, or the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test. Serum uric acid (SUA) changes, liver and kidney function indexes before and after treatment were compared by repeated measurement and paired t-test. Uric acid reduction was defined as a decrease in SUA from baseline at 12 weeks after treatment. Rates of change in eGFR, aspartate aminotransferase/platelet ratio, alanine aminotransferase and controlled attenuation parameter were defined from baseline (baseline to 12 weeks after treatment). Binary logistic regression analysis was used to compare the risk factors and factors influencing high and low uric acid level. Results: 161 cases with chronic hepatitis C who received DAA treatment were included, of which 19.3% patients were hyperuricemic. eGFR < 60 ml/(min·1.73 m(2)) and body mass index were independent risk factors for hyperuricemia in patients with chronic hepatitis C (eGFR: OR = 0.123, P = 0.002; body mass index: OR = 1.220, P = 0.002). SUA levels was changed significantly before treatment, at the end of treatment and at 12 weeks after treatment (327.96 vs. 320.76 vs. 314.92, F = 3.272, P = 0.042). At 12 weeks after treatment, SUA, liver stiffness, alanine aminotransferase and control attenuation parameters were all significantly lower than baseline (P < 0.05). The rate of increase in eGFR from baseline and the rate of decrease in controlled attenuation parameter during treatment were the factors influencing SUA reduction (eGFR: OR = 5124, P = 0.000; controlled attenuation index: OR = 0.010, P = 0.039). Conclusion: In chronic hepatitis C, reduced eGFR and body mass index are the risk factors for the development of hyperuricemia and a significant reduction in serum uric acid levels after DAA treatment can eradicate the virus.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES In Taiwan, older adults with cognitive impairment who undergo hip-fracture surgery are routinely cared for by family members. This study aimed to determine if nutritional status influenced the effects of a family-centered intervention for older adults with cognitive impairment recovering from hip-fracture surgery. DESIGN Secondary data analysis of data from a randomized controlled trial was conducted to examine the influences of nutritional status 1 month after hospital discharge on the effects of a family-centered care intervention model, which was designed for older adults with hip fracture and cognitive impairment. Outcomes were compared among participants according to nutrition status (well-nourished/poorly-nourished) and treatment approach (control/intervention). SETTING The original study was conducted at a 3000-bed medical center from July 2015 to October 2019. PARTICIPANTS Participants were older adults with cognitive impairment who had undergone hip-fracture surgery. Participants were assessed as poorly-nourished or well-nourished with the Mini-Nutritional Assessment (MNA) 1-month post-discharge and were then randomly assigned to either the intervention group or control group. INTERVENTION A family-centered intervention model for family caregivers of older adults with cognitive impairment recovering from hip-fracture surgery was implemented. The intervention was delivered by geriatric nurses, which included instructions for family caregivers in overseeing exercises for strengthening the hip, understanding dietary requirements, and managing behavioral problems associated with cognitive impairment. MEASUREMENTS Outcome measures included activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental ADLs, hip range of motion, hip muscle strength, depression, measured with the Geriatric Depressive Scale, and physical and mental health related quality of life, measured with the Short Form Survey (SF-36), Taiwanese version. Participants were assessed at 1-, 3-, 6-, and 12-months post-discharge. RESULTS Most of the 134 participants were assessed as poorly nourished (n = 122); 57 were the control group and 65 received the intervention. For the well-nourished participants (n = 12), four were in the intervention group and eight were controls. There were no significant differences in any outcome variables for poorly nourished participants who received the intervention compared with controls. For the sample of well-nourished participants, those who received the intervention performed significantly better in outcomes of IADLs (b = 1.74, p < .05), hip muscle strength (b = 9.64, p < .01), and physical health related quality of life (b = 10.47, p < .01). CONCLUSION The family-centered care intervention was only effective for older adults with cognitive impairment recovering from hip-fracture surgery who were well-nourished at 1 month following hospital discharge, but not for those at risk of malnutrition. Interventions should focus on enhancing nutritional status following hip surgery which could allow the family-centered in-home intervention to be beneficial for more older adults with cognitive impairment recovering from hip-fracture surgery.

Abstract
We present the precision measurement of the daily proton fluxes in cosmic rays from May 20, 2011 to October 29, 2019 (a total of 2824 days or 114 Bartels rotations) in the rigidity interval from 1 to 100 GV based on 5.5×10^{9} protons collected with the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer aboard the International Space Station. The proton fluxes exhibit variations on multiple timescales. From 2014 to 2018, we observed recurrent flux variations with a period of 27 days. Shorter periods of 9 days and 13.5 days are observed in 2016. The strength of all three periodicities changes with time and rigidity. The rigidity dependence of the 27-day periodicity is different from the rigidity dependences of 9-day and 13.5-day periods. Unexpectedly, the strength of 9-day and 13.5-day periodicities increases with increasing rigidities up to ∼10 GV and ∼20 GV, respectively. Then the strength of the periodicities decreases with increasing rigidity up to 100 GV.

Abstract
The research and development of a pertussis-combined vaccine using a novel inactivated poliovirus vaccine made from the Sabin strain (sIPV) is of great significance in the polio eradication project and to address the recent resurge in pertussis. In the present study, we compared the immunogenicity and efficacy of a candidate DTacP-sIPV with those of a commercial DTacP-wIPV/Hib, DTaP/Hib, pertussis vaccine, and aluminum hydroxide adjuvant control in the rhesus macaque model with a 0-, 1-, and 2-month immunization schedule. At day 28 after the third dose, rhesus macaques were challenged with aerosol pertussis and the antibody and cellular response together with pertussis clinical symptoms were determined. The production of anti-PT, anti-PRN, anti-FHA, anti-DT, anti-TT, and polio type I, II, III antibodies was induced by the candidate DTacP-sIPV, which was as potent as commercial vaccines. In comparison with the control group that showed typical pertussis symptoms of humans after the aerosol challenge, the DTacP-sIPV group did not exhibit obvious clinical pertussis symptoms and had higher neutralization titers of anti-PT, anti-PRN, and anti-FHA. In conclusion, the DTacP-sIPV vaccine was able to induce immunity in rhesus macaques to prevent pertussis infections after immunization. The developed vaccine was as efficient as other commercial vaccines.
