Abstract
Objective To assess public awareness regarding endodontic treatment and assess patients' knowledge regarding endodontic treatment. Materials and Methods A questionnaire was prepared and given to 300 patients who had visited the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics between November 2021 and October 2022, after obtaining ethical clearance and consent from all the participants. The questionnaire included sociodemographic details and about their knowledge about endodontic treatment. The collected data were tabulated and analyzed. Statistical Analysis Data analysis was performed using methods of descriptive statistics like frequency and percentages. Results We found that most of the respondents had an average level of knowledge regarding endodontic treatment. Conclusion We observed an improvement in knowledge and perception regarding endodontic treatment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Most cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy develop anemia during their course of treatment. There is a need for early treatment for chemotherapy-induced anemia to prevent morbidity and mortality. MATERIAL AND METHOD This is a hospital-based study, conducted over one year and included 59 children who are known cases of hematological malignancy aged up to 18 years. Standard methods were used to measure micronutrients and complete blood count. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS for Windows, Version 15.0 (Released 2006; SPSS Inc., Chicago, United States). RESULTS The majority of subjects (n=21; 35.6%) were aged six to nine years with male dominance. Micronutrient deficiency and significant anemia were noted in 40-50% and 64.4% of cases, respectively. Both malignancy and blood indices showed no association with micronutrients. CONCLUSION Anemia with micronutrient deficiency is common in children with hematopoietic malignancies receiving chemotherapy. However, no significant association was noted between red cell indices and levels of micronutrients.

Abstract
Excited-state spectroscopy from the first experiment at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) is reported. A 24(2)-μs isomer was observed with the FRIB Decay Station initiator (FDSi) through a cascade of 224- and 401-keV γ rays in coincidence with ^{32}Na nuclei. This is the only known microsecond isomer (1 μs≤T_{1/2}<1 ms) in the region. This nucleus is at the heart of the N=20 island of shape inversion and is at the crossroads of the spherical shell-model, deformed shell-model, and ab initio theories. It can be represented as the coupling of a proton hole and neutron particle to ^{32}Mg, ^{32}Mg+π^{-1}+ν^{+1}. This odd-odd coupling and isomer formation provides a sensitive measure of the underlying shape degrees of freedom of ^{32}Mg, where the onset of spherical-to-deformed shape inversion begins with a low-lying deformed 2^{+} state at 885 keV and a low-lying shape-coexisting 0_{2}^{+} state at 1058 keV. We suggest two possible explanations for the 625-keV isomer in ^{32}Na: a 6^{-} spherical shape isomer that decays by E2 or a 0^{+} deformed spin isomer that decays by M2. The present results and calculations are most consistent with the latter, indicating that the low-lying states are dominated by deformation.

Abstract
The most recent version of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Clinical Practice Guidelines for the diagnosis, staging and treatment of patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) was published in 2021. A special, hybrid guidelines meeting was convened by ESMO and the Korean Society of Medical Oncology (KSMO) in collaboration with nine other Asian national oncology societies in May 2022 in order to adapt the ESMO 2021 guidelines to take into account the differences associated with the treatment of MBC in Asia. These guidelines represent the consensus opinions reached by a panel of Asian experts in the treatment of patients with MBC representing the oncological societies of China (CSCO), India (ISMPO), Indonesia (ISHMO), Japan (JSMO), Korea (KSMO), Malaysia (MOS), the Philippines (PSMO), Singapore (SSO), Taiwan (TOS) and Thailand (TSCO). The voting was based on the best available scientific evidence and was independent of drug access or practice restrictions in the different Asian countries. The latter were discussed when appropriate. The aim of these guidelines is to provide guidance for the harmonisation of the management of patients with MBC across the different regions of Asia, drawing from data provided by global and Asian trials whilst at the same time integrating the differences in genetics, demographics and scientific evidence, together with restricted access to certain therapeutic strategies.

Abstract
Water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) is the mainstay of milk production in Asian countries including India. However, the hot climate of the country remains the biggest bottleneck to exploit the potential of this species. Therefore, a study was conducted to assess the effect of heat ameliorative measures on microclimate, thermal comfort, and behavior of Murrah buffalo heifers during summer. Buffalo heifers (n = 24) between the age of 15 and 20 months with a mean body weight of 363.75 ± 11.27 kg were randomly grouped into four treatments based on their age and body weight. The heifers kept in the shed without any cooling served as CON (control), while the animals of group CJ were tied with a cooling jacket. The buffalo heifers of the CJF group were subjected to the cooling jacket with forced air ventilation, whereas the intermittent (10 min at 2-h intervals) sprinkling followed by forced air ventilation was practiced in group SF between 900 and 1800 h throughout the experiment. The microclimatic variables were low in the sheds of groups CJ, CJF, and SF than the CON. The physiological responses such as rectal temperature, skin temperature, respiration rate, and pulse rate were reduced in groups CJ, CJF, and SF than the CON at 1400 h. The serum cortisol was less in the CJF and SF than those of CON group. The animals of the CJ, CJF, and SF groups spent more time for feeding and rumination with less frequent longer bouts. The extended periods of lying followed by shorter standing and idling were observed in groups CJ, CJF, and SF when compared with the CON. It may be therefore concluded that cooling jacket and intermittent sprinkling in combination with forced air ventilation might be helpful in improving the micro-environment, thermal comfort, and behavior of buffalo heifers particularly under tropical climates during summer.

Abstract
Diagnosing a urinary tract infection (UTI) is typically a clinical procedure involving multiple steps. The need to perform a test depends on the presence of relevant symptoms. Given the current pandemic situation, visiting a clinic may not be a preferable choice for many users. Many vulnerable groups of patients, namely, males with certain predispositions and pregnant women, may not present with symptoms of UTI and may go undiagnosed, which could give rise to a more complicated situation. So far, microbial cultures have been used as the gold standard for the diagnosis of an infection. However, performing microbial cultures currently requires trained professionals and laboratory grade equipment. Therefore, there is a need for a home-use culture kit that can serve this purpose. To our knowledge, no such kit exists. Here, we present a feasibility study of an affordable and easy-to-use home-based setup for quantifying bacterial load in a urine. We believe that such a system can be used by people at home to monitor recurrent UTI infections and also by physicians to remotely monitor and prescribe narrow-spectrum antibiotics for more effective treatment.

Abstract
Salmonella is a major foodborne pathogen associated with poultry and poultry products and a leading cause for human salmonellosis. Salmonella is known to transmit in poultry flocks both vertically and horizontally. However, there is a lack of knowledge on relative contribution of the factors on Salmonella prevalence in poultry live production system including hatchery, feed, water, environment-interior, and -exterior. Therefore, a systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to quantify the potential sources of Salmonella during preharvest and their relative contributions to the microbial risk of poultry meat. A total of 16,800 studies identified from Google Scholar and 37 relevant studies were included in the meta-analysis for relative contributions to Salmonella positivity on broilers after applying exclusion criteria. A generalized linear mixed model approach combined with logit transformation was used in the current study to stabilize the variance. The analysis revealed that the hatchery is the most significant contributor of Salmonella with a prevalence of 48.5%. Litter, feces, and poultry house internal environment were the other 3 major contributing factors with a prevalence of 25.4, 16.3, and 7.9%, respectively. Moreover, poultry house external environment (4.7%), feed (4.8%), chicks (4.7%), and drinker water also contributed to the Salmonella positivity. Results from this meta-analysis informed the urgent need for controls in live production to further reduce Salmonella in fresh, processed poultry. The control strategies can include eliminating the sources of Salmonella and incorporating interventions in live production to reduce Salmonella concentrations in broilers.

Abstract
Multifarious plant growth-promoting Bacillus strains recovered from rhizospheric soils of the Indo Gangetic plains (IGPs) were identified as Bacillus licheniformis MNNITSR2 and Bacillus velezensis MNNITSR18 based on their biochemical characteristics and 16S rDNA gene analysis. Both strains exhibited the ability to produce IAA, siderophores, ammonia, lytic enzymes, HCN production, and phosphate solubilization capability and strongly inhibited the growth of phytopathogens such as Rhizoctonia solani and Fusariun oxysporum in vitro. In addition, these strains are also able to grow at a high temperature of 50 °C and tolerate up to 10-15% NaCl and 25% PEG 6000. The results of the pot experiment showed that individual seed inoculation and the coinoculation of multifarious plant growth promoting (PGP) Bacillus strains (SR2 and SR18) in rice fields significantly enhanced plant height, root length volume, tiller numbers, dry weight, and yield compared to the untreated control. This indicates that these strains are potential candidates for use as PGP inoculants/biofertilizers to increase rice productivity under field conditions for IGPs in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Abstract
Background:
Wheat bran is an important by-product in the cereal industry. It is considered one of the amplest and most economically cheap sources of insoluble fiber and is rich in minerals and various bioactive compounds.
Objective:
In this research, the antioxidant, functional, and molecular properties of bran were screened in six different cultivars of wheat, viz. HUW-234, PBW-373, WH-1105, PBW-502, HD-2967, and PBW-343.
Methods:
In the present study, the methods, namely, DPPH, TPC, and FRAP, were used for the screening of antioxidant properties, bulk density, WAC and OAC for functional properties, and tannin, trypsin inhibitor and phytate for anti-nutritional properties.
Results:
Our results showed that in thermally processed wheat bran (Autoclaved, Hot air oven, Microwave, Toasting), the antioxidant activity increased in comparison to native wheat bran, whereas water absorption capacity and oil absorption capacity decreased significantly (p ≤ 0.05) compared to native bran. In addition, a significant reduction in the anti-nutritional factor was also observed. Moreover, FTIR in different wheat bran cultivars showed the presence of the C-H group, -CH stretch, -NH group, -OH group, phenols group, -C=O group, mostly aldehyde group, L-glucose, cyclodextrins, –C-OH bending vibrations, and halogen compound (C-Cl).
Conclusion:
The study showed differences in antioxidant and functional properties of bran obtained from different wheat cultivars. The thermal technique is a very useful treatment for increasing nutritional properties. Wheat bran utilization in daily life helps prevent many chronic diseases, such as colon cancer, constipation, heart disease, etc.

Abstract
PURPOSE The study was aimed to encapsulate Hedyotis corymbosa extract (HCE) into phytosomes to improve its therapeutic efficacy in neuropathic pain by enhancing the bioavailability of chief chemical constituent Hedycoryside -A (HCA). METHODS For preparing phytosomes complexes (F1, F2, and F3), HCE and phospholipids were reacted in disparate ratio. F2 was chosen to assess its therapeutic efficacy in neuropathic pain induced by partial sciatic nerve ligation. Nociceptive threshold and oral bioavailability were also estimated for F2. RESULTS Particle size, zeta potential and entrapment efficiency for F2 were analysed as 298.1 ± 1.1 nm, -3.92 ± 0.41 mV and 72.12 ± 0.72% respectively. F2 gave enhanced relative bioavailability (158.92%) of HCA along with a greater neuroprotective potential showing a significant antioxidant effect and augmentation (p < 0.05) in nociceptive threshold with the diminution in damage to nerves. CONCLUSION F2 is an optimistic formulation for enhancing the HCE delivery for the effective treatment of neuropathic pain.

Abstract
Our institution's annual bereaved family event was modified to a virtual format during the COVID-19 pandemic. While necessary to comply with physical distancing directives, the transition also provided greater accessibility for families. Virtual events were feasible and appreciated by attendees. Future hybrid bereavement events should be considered to allow families more flexibility and accessibility.

Abstract
Chromoblastomycosis (CBM) is a difficult-to-treat, chronic fungal infection of the skin and subcutaneous tissue. The evidence base for treatment is scarce, with no standardised therapeutic approach. Chronicity of CBM infection is postulated to be due in part to a failure of host cell-mediated immunity to generate a proinflammatory response sufficient for fungal clearance. We present a case of a chronic chromoblastomycosis lesion of the hand present for nearly four decades, previously refractory to itraconazole monotherapy, that was successfully treated with a combination of posaconazole and adjunctive immunotherapy with topical Imiquimod, a toll-like receptor 7 agonist. Serial biopsies and images demonstrate the clinical and histopathological improvement of the lesion. Randomised trials of antifungal therapy with adjunctive imiquimod are warranted to determine whether a combination of antifungal and host-directed therapy improves outcomes for this neglected tropical mycosis.

Abstract
Glutathione (GSH) is an abundant tripeptide that can enhance plant tolerance to biotic and abiotic stress. Its main role is to counter free radicals and detoxify reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated in cells under unfavorable conditions. Moreover, along with other second messengers (such as ROS, calcium, nitric oxide, cyclic nucleotides, etc.), GSH also acts as a cellular signal involved in stress signal pathways in plants, directly or along with the glutaredoxin and thioredoxin systems. While associated biochemical activities and roles in cellular stress response have been widely presented, the relationship between phytohormones and GSH has received comparatively less attention. This review, after presenting glutathione as part of plants' feedback to main abiotic stress factors, focuses on the interaction between GSH and phytohormones, and their roles in the modulation of the acclimatation and tolerance to abiotic stress in crops plants.

Abstract
Background:
Depression has been identified as a risk factor for acute cerebrovascular events. Due to limited data focused on young females, we studied the burden and impact of comorbid depression on outcomes of acute ischemic stroke (AIS)-related admissions in young women of the reproductive age group.
Methods:
We used the National Inpatient Sample (2018) to identify admissions of young females (age 18-44 years) with AIS; and further classified it into two demographically (age, race, payer status, income) matched (1:1) groups based on the presence of comorbid depression. Comorbidities and outcomes were compared using relevant ICD-10 codes. Multivariable regression was used to analyze the association of comorbid depression with in-hospital mortality.
Results:
In 15850 young females admitted with AIS in 2018, 2465 (15.6%) had comorbid depression. Post-matching, the study cohort consisted of 4610 women admitted with AIS (Median age: 37, 66.2% whites) and 2305 women in each cohort, with and without depression. The matched AIS-depression arm often had younger women (median 37 vs 39 years), patients from the lower-income quartile (47.3% vs. 34.5%), and higher rates of obesity, peripheral vascular disease, and prior history of stroke but a lower prevalence of CVD risk factors

The depression arm had a non-significant odd of all-cause mortality (OR 1.32, 95%CI:0.64-2.74) when adjusted for sociodemographic confounders and comorbid risk factors (p=0.452). The LOS was shorter (median 4 vs 5 days) with comparable hospital charges in the depression arm vs. no depression arm (p<0.001).
Conclusion:
This study revealed a nearly 15% burden of depression in young females admitted for AIS without significant impact on all-cause mortality when controlled for confounders. The impact of depression on long-term AIS outcomes needs further evaluation.

Abstract
Background:
Mechanical thrombectomy (MT) has been proven to be a successful treatment option for patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in numerous randomized controlled trials. The majority of trials underrepresent patients aged 70 and above, and there is little contemporary data on regional trends and variation in mortality.
Methods:
This retrospective study using the National Inpatient Sample (2016-2019) seeks to identify any regional relationships between geriatric patients' in-hospital mortality after MT for AIS at urban facilities and trends in inpatient mortality. Regional Inpatient mortality based on sex and race and trends between 2016 and 2019 were assessed.
Results:
Our study group consisted of 52455 AIS-MT admissions (median 78 yrs, 57.1% male, 77.2% white, 89.6% Medicare enrollees) with a 14.1% inpatient mortality rate. Despite having a lower comparative burden of traditional CVD risk factors, the hospitals from the Northeast had a higher inpatient mortality rate (17.2%, n=1650) and risk (adjusted OR:1.25, 95% CI:1.03-1.51) than the other regions. Similar trends were observed in male (18.1%), females (16.6%), white (17.3%) and black (13.8%) participants (P<0.001) undergoing AIS-MT. Highest inpatient mortality among Hispanics was linked to Midwest-based participants (16.2%) without regional variation in rates for Asians. There were declining trends in mortality between 2016 to 2019 in West region without any change in other regions (from 14.0% to 11.5%, ptrend=0.002)

Conclusion:
Among demographically comparable geriatric patients with AIS undergoing MT in the US, the Northeast region admissions showed the highest inpatient mortality even after controlling for confounding factors with a relatively lower burden of CVD risk factors. This disparity warrants further research to validate these findings.

Abstract
Background In absence of a dedicated teaching curriculum for non-PG residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology department, a concise teaching learning method, One-Minute Preceptor (OMP) with feedback being its core component may be introduced to translate their theoretical knowledge into clinical practice. Methods This descriptive cross-sectional study included four faculty members and 20 residents. Each resident was exposed to three OMP sessions pertaining to common gynecological case scenarios with a gap of at least two days in between the sessions with faculties acting as preceptor and as observer. After three OMP sessions, feedback from residents and faculty regarding their teaching and learning experience after implementing this tool was obtained through separate pre-validated questionnaires graded on Likert's scale. Results The satisfaction index of the residents and faculties for OMP was found to be 96.3% and 95%, respectively. All residents and faculty members had consensus that OMP addressed the learning gaps (mean score 4.45 ± 0.51 and mean score 4.5 ± 0.57, respectively) and expressed being highly satisfied with OMP in busy clinical settings as compared to traditional method of teaching with mean score of 4.9 ± 0.30 and 4.75 ± 0.5, respectively. The faculties had consensuses that OMP can assess all domains of learning (mean score 4.75 ± 0.5). All residents and faculties opined that the time allotted to address all micro-skills was less and 60% residents advocated allotting at least 5 min time to the teaching encounter. Conclusion Our study indicates the beneficial role of OMP in time-constraint clinical environment and warrants further research to review the time frame keeping in view the learners' needs and the discipline.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The InPOG-HL-15-01, a multicentric prospective study, used a risk-stratified and response-based approach with doxorubicin, bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (ABVD) backbone to treat children and adolescents with newly diagnosed Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and reduce the use of radiation therapy (RT). Children/adolescents with bulky disease or inadequate response at early response assessment (ERA) after two cycles of chemotherapy were assigned to receive RT. For ERA, positron emission tomography computed tomography (PET-CT) was recommended but not mandatory in view of limited access. This study aimed to compare the impact of using contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) and PET-CT on treatment decisions and outcomes. METHODOLOGY 396 patients were enrolled and 382 had an ERA at the assigned time point. Satisfactory response was defined as Deauville score 3 or less for patients undergoing PET-CT and complete response (CR)/very good partial response (VGPR) for patients undergoing CECT. Outcomes of interest incorporate 5 year event-free survival (EFS), EFS including abandonment (EFSa), and overall survival (OS). RESULTS At ERA, satisfactory response was documented in 277 out of 382 (72.5%) participants and this was significantly higher in PET-CT (151 out of 186, 81.2%) as compared with CECT-based assessments (126 out of 196, 64.3%) respectively (p value < .001). Amongst the 203 patients with nonbulky disease (wherein the indication for RT was entirely dependent on ERA), 96 out of 114 (84.2%) and 61 out of 89 (68.5%) patients achieved a satisfactory response according to the PET-CT and CECT (p value = .008) respectively and hence a lesser proportion of patients in the PET-CT arm received RT. Despite a lower usage of RT the 5 year OS of both groups, ERA based on CECT (91.8%) versus PET-CT (94.1%) was comparable (p value = .391) and so was the 5 year EFS (86.7 vs. 85.5%, p value = .724). CONCLUSION Use of PET-CT as the modality for ERA is more likely to indicate a satisfactory response as compared with CECT and thereby decreases the need for RT in response-based treatment algorithm for HL-afflicted children. The reduction in the application of RT did not impact the overall outcome and plausibly would lower the risk of delayed toxic effects.

Background
Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is the visceral fat deposit within the pericardium that surrounds the heart and the coronary arteries. EAT volume measured from non-contrast CT (NCCT) has been demonstrated to be significantly associated with adverse cardiovascular risk,1 particularly in patients with coronary artery disease.2 However, routine measurement of EAT volume is still challenging in clinical practice, as it is a tedious manual process and prone to human error.
Purpose
We aimed to develop a fully automated AI toolkit (i.e., AI EAT) for the quantification of EAT from routine NCCT scans and assess its performance in reference to clinical ground truth.
Methods
This is a multicenter study which performs CT scans in 5000 Asian Admixture patients (APOLLO study NCT05509010). In the current stage of this study, NCCT data analysis were conducted in 551 patients with 26,037 images. AI EAT was developed via a novel deep learning framework using an ensemble region-based UNet. The region-based UNet uses 2 component UNet models to perform segmentation of pericardium at the apex region and non-apex region (middle and basal). EAT volume was obtained by automated thresholding of the voxels (-190 to -30 Hounsfield Unit) within the pericardium (Figure 1). The network was trained in 501 patients with 23,712 NCCT images and tested in 50 patients with 2,325 NCCT images. The performance of AI EAT was evaluated with respect to clinical ground truth using Dice similarity coefficient (DSC), Pearson correlation, and Bland-Altman analysis.
Results
The AI EAT quantification process took less than 10 seconds per subject, compared with 20-30 minutes for expert readers. Compared to clinical ground truth, our AI EAT achieved a DSC of 0.96±0.01 and 0.91±0.02 for pericardium and EAT segmentations, respectively. There was strong agreement between the AI EAT and clinical ground truth in deriving the EAT volume (r=0.99, P<0.001) with minimal error of 7±5%.
Conclusion
End-to-end deep learning system accurately quantifies epicardial adipose tissue in standard NCCT images without manual segmentation.

Abstract
ABSTRACT Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma (UPS) is a common soft tissue sarcoma that can develop in various organs, but lung involvement is usually due to metastasis. UPS originating primarily in the lungs is called primary pulmonary undifferentiated pleomorphic Sarcoma (PPUPS) and is exceptionally rare. It is a high-grade pleomorphic neoplasm with no identifiable lines of differentiation. Thus, it is essentially a diagnosis of exclusion that requires extensive clinical, radiographic and histopathological evaluation. Herein we report the case of a 49-year-old gentleman who presented with anemia and weight loss and was found to have a large right lung mass. The lesion was diagnosed as PPUPS after detailed histopathological, immunohistochemical and molecular analysis and exclusion of a possible extrapulmonary origin.
