Abstract
Psoriasis is a complex autoimmune skin condition with a significant genetic component. It causes skin inflammation and is characterized by flaky, silvery reddish spots that can worsen with age. This condition results from an impaired immunological response of T-cells and affects 2-5% of the global population. The severity of the illness determines the choice of treatment. Topical treatments are commonly used to treat psoriasis, but they can have several adverse effects. Biological therapy is another option for treating specific types of psoriasis. Recently, new nanoformulations have revolutionized psoriasis treatment. Various nanocarriers, such as liposomes, nanostructured lipid nanoparticles, niosomes, and nanoemulsions, have been developed and improved for drug delivery. The use of nanocarriers enhances patient compliance, precise drug delivery, and drug safety. This review aims to suggest new nanocarrier-based drug delivery systems for treating psoriasis. It discusses the importance of nanocarriers and compares them to traditional treatments. Anti-psoriatic drugs have also been investigated for cutaneous delivery using nanocarriers. The review also covers various factors that influence dermal targeting. By highlighting several relevant aspects of psoriasis treatment, the review emphasizes the current potential of nanotechnology. Using nanocarriers as a drug delivery technique may be a promising alternative treatment for psoriasis.

Abstract
Introduction Foot ulceration is one of the most severe and debilitating complications of diabetes, which leads to the cause of non-traumatic lower-extremity amputation in 15-24% of affected individuals. The healing of diabetic foot (DF) is a significant therapeutic problem due to complications from the multifactorial healing process. Electrospun nanofibrous scaffold loaded with various wound dressing materials has excellent wound healing properties due to its multifunctional action. Purpose This work aimed to develop and characterize chitosan (CS)-polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) blended electrospun multifunctional nanofiber loaded with curcumin (CUR) and zinc oxide (ZnO) to accelerate diabetic wound healing in STZ-induced diabetic rats. Results In-vitro characterization results revealed that nanofiber was fabricated successfully using the electrospinning technique. SEM results confirmed the smooth surface with web-like fiber nanostructure diameter ranging from 200 - 250 nm. An in-vitro release study confirmed the sustained release of CUR and ZnO for a prolonged time. In-vitro cell-line studies demonstrated significantly low cytotoxicity of nanofiber in HaCaT cells. Anti-bacterial studies demonstrated good anti-bacterial and anti-biofilm activities of nanofiber. In-vivo animal studies demonstrated an excellent wound-healing efficiency of the nanofibers in STZ-induced diabetic rats. Furthermore, the ELISA assay revealed that the optimized nanofiber membrane terminated the inflammatory phases successfully by downregulating the pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, MMP-2, and MMP-9) in wound healing. In-vitro and in-vivo studies conclude that the developed nanofiber loaded with bioactive material can promote diabetic wound healing efficiently via multifunction action such as the sustained release of bioactive molecules for a prolonged time of duration, proving anti-bacterial/anti-biofilm properties and acceleration of cell migration and proliferation process during the wound healing. Discussion CUR-ZnO electrospun nanofibers could be a promising drug delivery platform with the potential to be scaled up to treat diabetic foot ulcers effectively.

Abstract
We present the first measurement of dihadron angular correlations in electron-nucleus scattering. The data were taken with the CLAS detector and a 5.0 GeV electron beam incident on deuterium, carbon, iron, and lead targets. Relative to deuterium, the nuclear yields of charged-pion pairs show a strong suppression for azimuthally opposite pairs, no suppression for azimuthally nearby pairs, and an enhancement of pairs with large invariant mass. These effects grow with increased nuclear size. The data are qualitatively described by the gibuu model, which suggests that hadrons form near the nuclear surface and undergo multiple scattering in nuclei.These results show that angular correlation studies can open a new way to elucidate how hadrons form and interact inside nuclei.

Abstract
Tourism is one of the lifelines in nations for their strong economy. Through the expansion of tourism industry, enormous amounts of plastic materials are disposed that have detrimental effects on environment, animal and human health. The present study demonstrates the role of tourists on generation of plastic waste and further statistical approach was used to investigate the impact of knowledge, behaviour, and attitude of tourists towards generation of plastic waste. Result shows that the tourists play key role in generating plastic waste at outdoor places which is a serious issue that could block drainage ways in city which leads to many waters born disease. The study highlights that the awareness can make certain changes in plastic waste generation and can bridge the knowledge-practice gap. Moreover, the circular economy can offer opportunity to exploit plastic waste into various decorative and useful products that can generate income to local community and help to reduce plastic wastes. It is also important to highlight that the government needs to take care of surveillance in the market on using plastic bags either by sellers or consumers.

Abstract
Skeletal-related disorders such as arthritis, bone cancer, osteosarcoma, and osteoarthritis are among the most common reasons for mortality in humans at present. Nanostructured scaffolds have been discovered to be more efficient for bone regeneration than macro/micro-sized scaffolds because they sufficiently permit cell adhesion, proliferation, and chemical transformation. Nanofibrous scaffolds mimicking artificial extracellular matrices provide a natural environment for tissue regeneration owing to their large surface area, high porosity, and appreciable drug loading capacity. Here, we review recent progress and possible future prospective electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds for bone tissue engineering. Electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds have demonstrated promising potential in bone tissue regeneration using a variety of nanomaterials. This review focused on the crucial role of electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds in biological applications, including drug/growth factor delivery to bone tissue regeneration. Natural and synthetic polymeric nanofibrous scaffolds are extensively inspected to regenerate bone tissue. We focused mainly on the significant impact of nanofibrous composite scaffolds on cell adhesion and function, and different composites of organic/inorganic nanoparticles with nanofiber scaffolds. This analysis provides an overview of nanofibrous scaffold-based bone regeneration strategies; however, the same concepts can be applied to other organ and tissue regeneration tactics.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Patients awaiting solid organ transplantation may develop anti-HLA antibodies after sensitization events such as transfusions, pregnancies, or previous transplantations. However, the effects of a particular sensitization event on HLA alloimmunization have not been well studied in parallel using cell-based assays and solid-phase assays. In this study, we evaluated and compare how different sensitization events affect the HLA antibody screening (HLA-Ab) and donor specific antibody (DSA) status in solid renal organ transplantation patients. METHODS HLA antibody (HLA-Ab) screening tests like complement-dependent cytotoxicity crossmatch (CDC-XM), flow cytometry crossmatch (FC-XM) & Luminex panel-reactive antibody (L-PRA) were performed in all 1066 patients (635 males and 431 females). If any of these tests turned out to be positive, a Luminex single antigen bead (L-SAB) assay was performed for DSA identification. Test positive rates and antibody strengths were analyzed according to the different sensitization events and gender. RESULTS In this study, HLA-Ab screening tests positive rates (L-PRA, FC-XM and CDC-XM) were significantly higher in patients with previous transplantation (73.91%, 86.95% and 56.52% p < 0.001), previous pregnancy (57.46%, 70.14% and 18.85% p < 0.001) or blood transfusion (27.33%, 35.55% and 7.33% p < 0.001) compared with patients without a sensitizing event (6.17%, 13.58% & 1.09). In this study, re-transplantation group showed significantly stronger antibody strength (DSA) than non sensitized group (class I & II MFI 11418.04, 17,837.78 vs class I & II MFI 2659, 3329; P < 0.001) and those with single sensitization events of transfusion (class I & II MFI 11418.04, 17,837.78 vs class I & II MFI 5598.82, 5436.12; P < 0.001) or pregnancy (class I & II MFI 11418, 17,837 vs class I & II MFI 8580.12, 7556.08; P < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS Pregnancy and blood transfused had high allo-immunization rate for class I HLA antigens. While re-transplantation patients had high allo-immunization rate for both the HLA classes (HLA- class I & HLA- class II). Re-transplantation group showed significantly stronger antibody strength, followed by pregnancy and then transfusion.

Abstract
Advances in immune suppression therapies and desensitization have made possible kidney transplantation regardless of HLA incompatibility. Single antigen bead assay (SAB) is a semi-quantitative estimation of the amount of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) antibodies present in the recipient plasma, and mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) generated gives this rough estimation of the antibodies present in the recipient. Here we present a case of successful kidney transplantation in a patient who expressed DSA with high MFI. A 33-yr-old male, diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on regular maintenance hemodialysis, opted for second kidney transplant with his sibling as prospective donor and was referred to the department of Transplant Immunology for histocompatibility testing. Patient had HLA incompatibility with multiple DSA identified by SAB. Patient undergone 20 sessions of plasma exchange till discharge and finally till 6 months graft was functioning well. The authors thus conclude that the option of a high-risk HLA incompatible kidney transplant can be offered to recipients with high MFI DSA, who wish to undergo transplantation for end stage renal disease.

Abstract
MOTIVATION In the past few years, researchers have proposed numerous indexing schemes for searching large datasets of raw sequencing experiments. Most of these proposed indexes are approximate (i.e. with one-sided errors) in order to save space. Recently, researchers have published exact indexes-Mantis, VariMerge and Bifrost-that can serve as colored de Bruijn graph representations in addition to serving as k-mer indexes. This new type of index is promising because it has the potential to support more complex analyses than simple searches. However, in order to be useful as indexes for large and growing repositories of raw sequencing data, they must scale to thousands of experiments and support efficient insertion of new data. RESULTS In this paper, we show how to build a scalable and updatable exact raw sequence-search index. Specifically, we extend Mantis using the Bentley-Saxe transformation to support efficient updates, called Dynamic Mantis. We demonstrate Dynamic Mantis's scalability by constructing an index of ≈40K samples from SRA by adding samples one at a time to an initial index of 10K samples. Compared to VariMerge and Bifrost, Dynamic Mantis is more efficient in terms of index-construction time and memory, query time and memory and index size. In our benchmarks, VariMerge and Bifrost scaled to only 5K and 80 samples, respectively, while Dynamic Mantis scaled to more than 39K samples. Queries were over 24× faster in Mantis than in Bifrost (VariMerge does not immediately support general search queries we require). Dynamic Mantis indexes were about 2.5× smaller than Bifrost's indexes and about half as big as VariMerge's indexes. Abstract
e17010 Background: Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a known complication in patients of testicular germ cell tumors . Early metabolic syndrome is not well-defined and literature on the same is scarce. Methods: This is a single institutional prospective cohort study of patients with testicular germ cell tumors from Jan’2020 to June 2021 with a minimum follow-up of 6 months after treatment completion. Patients were evaluated for MS as per NCEP ATP (National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Plan) III criteria and partial MS was defined if any one abnormal criteria was present. Clinicopathologic and treatment characteristics were correlated with development of MS. Results: Thirty-six (25 nonseminomatous tumor and 11 seminoma) were included with median age of 29 yrs (range: 18-44). Treatment protocol was - platinum based chemotherapy [BEP (n = 7), EP(n = 18),VIP(n = 4) ]in 81% (n = 29/36), single agent carboplatin in 8% (n = 3/36), and surveillance only in 11% (n = 4/36) patients. Incidence of complete metabolic syndrome noted in 42% (n = 15) and partial metabolic syndrome in 36% (n = 13) of patients after median follow-up of 13.2 months (range-6-22). Deranged parameters detected were - high serum triglyceride (≥150 mg/dl) in 64% (n = 23/36), low serum HDL cholesterol (< 40 mg/dl) in 53% (n = 19/36), high blood pressure (≥130/85 mm of Hg) in 47% (n = 17/36), high waist circumference (> 110 cm) in 6% (n = 2/36) and high fasting plasma glucose (≥5.6 mmol/L) in 22% (n = 8/36) of patients. Median weight gain was 5 Kg (range: 2-14). The median time to development of metabolic syndrome was 143 days (range: 90-461). Hypogonadism (testosterone < 433ng/dl.) showed positive correlation (degree of freedom = 0.3143) and C-reactive protein showed negative correlation (degree of freedom -0.3090) with MS, respectively. Conclusions: Majority of Testicular germ cell tumor patients (n = 28, 78%) had features of early MS, irrespective of treatment modalities. Patients with hypogonadism are more likely to develop early MS. Larger prospective studies are warranted to assess the incidence of early MS in patients with testicular germ cell tumors and to formulate appropriate health intervention to mitigate its significant long-term effects on mortality and morbidity.

Abstract
The range of effectiveness of the novel corona virus, known as COVID-19, has been continuously spread worldwide with the severity of associated disease and effective variation in the rate of contact. This paper investigates the COVID-19 virus dynamics among the human population with the prediction of the size of epidemic and spreading time. Corona virus disease was first diagnosed on January 30, 2020 in India. From January 30, 2020 to April 21, 2020, the number of patients was continuously increased. In this scientific work, our main objective is to estimate the effectiveness of various preventive tools adopted for COVID-19. The COVID-19 dynamics is formulated in which the parameters of interactions between people, contact tracing, and average latent time are included. Experimental data are collected from April 15, 2020 to April 21, 2020 in India to investigate this virus dynamics. The Genocchi collocation technique is applied to investigate the proposed fractional mathematical model numerically via Caputo-Fabrizio fractional derivative. The effect of presence of various COVID parameters e.g. quarantine time is also presented in the work. The accuracy and efficiency of the outputs of the present work are demonstrated through the pictorial presentation by comparing it to known statistical data. The real data for COVID-19 in India is compared with the numerical results obtained from the concerned COVID-19 model. From our results, to control the expansion of this virus, various prevention measures must be adapted such as self-quarantine, social distancing, and lockdown procedures.

Abstract
The Swachh Bharat Mission undertaken by the Government of India (GoI) has been successful in accomplishing this objective within a short period thereby catalyzing governance following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is the responsibility of any democratic nation to ensure that its citizens have universal access to adequate and equitable sanitation. The key approach adapted to igniting a change in sanitation behavior rather than constructing toilets. An effort has been made in the study to affirm that even the marginalized sections of the society residing in tribal communities of West Bengal and Chhattisgarh have benefitted from this Government of India Mission and derived the required benefits. There is enough literature available to support the justification that civil participation holds the key for successful implementation of CLTS thereby making the communities open defecation free (ODF). It is therefore imperative to understand the behavioral transformation that takes place during the CLTS implementation. A hybrid model has been proposed in the study making use of the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and theory of planned behavior (TPB) to understand the pre-adoption and post-adoption behavior of residents. In present study, used model was empirically tested for several hypotheses. The finding reflects towards subjective norms and facilitating conditions as major determinants that ensure the continuation of intention for CLTS. They play a pivotal role in improving the health and hygiene conditions in the region and thus decrease the risk of spread of epidemic diseases.

Abstract
e21101 Background: Systemic inflammation has been linked to incidence, progression, and poor outcomes in various cancers including non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). High-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) assays, generally used to assess cardiovascular risk, have rarely been evaluated in lung cancer studies. This study aimed to evaluate if baseline and on-treatment measurements of serum hs-CRP could provide prognostic and predictive information for patients with metastatic NSCLC treated with chemotherapy. Methods: In this single institutional prospective study 85 patients with metastatic NSCLC without targetable alterations who were treated with chemotherapy were included between 1st January 2020 and 31st December 2020, with a minimum follow-up duration of 6 months. Patients with coronary artery disease, active infections, autoimmune conditions, and chronic liver disease were excluded. Measurements of hs-CRP for all patients were done at baseline and every 12 weeks while on treatment. Patients were grouped by changes in hs-CRP levels compared to baseline levels as reduction (≥ 20% decline), and non-reduction (< 20% decline) to assess association with radiologic response and progression- free survival (PFS). Results: Pre-treatment hs-CRP values were elevated for the majority (92.9% patients with ≥ 1 mg/L, 70.6% with ≥ 3 mg/L, and 42.3% with ≥ 10 mg/dL). No significant association was detected between the pre-treatment hs-CRP value and the number of metastatic sites (P = 0.4), histology (P = 0.3), or smoking status (P = 0.7). At a median follow-up of 13.7 months, the median PFS was 7.8 months (95% confidence interval [CI] 5.3 - 10.3). Patients with hs-CRP ≥10 mg/L had shorter PFS than those with hs-CRP < 10 mg/L (Median PFS 7.5 months [95% CI 4.9 - 10] vs. 8.4 months [95% CI 0.1 - 17.4]; hazard ratio [HR] 1.8, 95% CI 1-3.4, P = 0.04). hs-CRP reduction (≥20% decline) after 12 weeks of treatment initiation predicted radiological response (P < 0.001). Median PFS was 14.7 months (95% CI 7.4 – 22.1) in patients who demonstrated hs-CRP reduction (≥20% decline) at 12 weeks compared to 3.1 months (95% CI 2.3 – 3.9) in patients who did not (HR 0.17, 95% CI 0.08 - 0.33, P < 0.001). Conclusions: Elevated hs-CRP at baseline was found to be a poor prognostic factor, while hs-CRP reduction by 20% or more on treatment predicted radiologic response and longer PFS in metastatic NSCLC patients treated with chemotherapy. Our findings of potential predictive and prognostic value of hs-CRP in metastatic NSCLC warrant validation in larger prospective studies.

Abstract
<b>Introduction:</b> Cell-based complement-dependent cytotoxicity crossmatch (CDC-XM) and solid phase assays were introduced for assessing HLA antibodies. However, the complexity of data from cell-based and solid phase assays have led to potential confusion about how to use the results for clinical decision making. </br></br> <b> Aim:</b> Aim of this study was to compare results of cell-based assay and solid phase assay, to evaluate the usefulness of L-XM for pretransplant detection of HLA class I and II donor-specific IgG antibodies, correlate the mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) values of class I and class II L-XM assay and with CDC-XM and L-PRA (panel reactive antibodies) results. </br></br> <b> Methods:</b> In this retrospective study, 380 prospective renal transplant recipients were tested for the presence of HLA antibodies by CDC-XM, IgG-L-XM, IgG-L-PRA & L-SAB screening with their corresponding donor. </br></br> <b>Results:</b> Fifty-one recipients (13.42%) had a positive CDC-XM. L-XM was positive in 125 recipients (32.89%); class I-L-XM was positive in 46 (36.80%) cases, and class II-L-XM was positive in 58 (46.4%) cases and 21 (16.8%) samples were positive for class I and class II. High background was present in 22 (5.87%) samples, the results of which were confirmed by retesting or by correlation with L-PRA and L-SAB assays. </br></br> <b>Conclusion:</b> The introduction of more sensitive approaches for the detection of anti-HLA-IgG-antibodies, such as L-XM and L-PRA assay, has allowed the identification of anti-HLA-antibodies in recipient serum which is not usually identified by CDC-XM alone. However, L-XM has some limitations; they can be overcome if we combine this assay with L-PRA.

Abstract
Diabetic foot ulceration is the most distressing complication of diabetes having no standard therapy. Nanofibers are an emerging and versatile nanotechnology-based drug-delivery system with unique wound-healing properties. This study aimed to prepare and evaluate silk-sericin based hybrid nanofibrous mats for diabetic foot ulcer. The nanofibrous mats were prepared by electrospinning using silk sericin mixed with different proportions of polycaprolactone (PCL) and cellulose acetate (CA) loaded with ferulic acid (FA). The in vitro characterizations, such as surface morphology, mechanical properties, swelling behavior, biodegradability, scanning electron microscopy, and drug release were carried out. The SEM images indicated that nanofibers formed with varied diameters, ranging from 100 to 250 nm, and their tensile strength was found to range from 7 to 15 MPa. In vitro release demonstrated that the nanofibers sustained FA release over an extended time of period. In vitro cytotoxicity showed that the nanofibers possessed a lower cytotoxicity in HaCaT cells. The in vivo wound-healing studies demonstrated an excellent wound-healing efficiency of the nanofibers in diabetic rats. Furthermore, the histopathological studies showed the nanofibers’ ability to restore the skin’s normal structure. Therefore, it was concluded that the prepared silk-sericin-based hybrid nanofibers loaded with FA could be a promising drug-delivery platform for the effective treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.

Abstract
To prepare a topical formulation of bimatoprost (BIM) with high skin permeability, we designed a solvent mixture system composed of ethanol, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, cyclomethicone, and butylated hydroxyanisole, serving as a volatile solvent, nonvolatile co-solvent, spreading agent, and antioxidant, respectively. The ideal topical BIM formulation (BIM–TF#5) exhibited 4.60-fold higher human skin flux and a 529% increase in dermal drug deposition compared to BIM in ethanol. In addition, compared to the other formulations, BIM–TF#5 maximally activated human dermal papilla cell proliferation at a concentration of 5 μM BIM, equivalent to 10 μM minoxidil. Moreover, BIM–TF#5 (0.3% [w/w] BIM) significantly promoted hair regrowth in the androgenic alopecia mouse model and increased the area covered by hair at 10 days by 585% compared to the vehicle-treated mice, indicating that entire telogen area transitioned into the anagen phase. Furthermore, at day 14, the hair weight of mice treated with BIM–TF#5 (5% [w/w] BIM) was 8.45- and 1.30-fold greater than in the 5% (w/w) BIM in ethanol and 5% (w/v) minoxidil treated groups, respectively. In the histological examination, the number and diameter of hair follicles in the deep subcutis were significantly increased in the BIM–TF#5 (0.3 or 5% [w/w] BIM)-treated mice compared to the mice treated with vehicle or 5% (w/w) BIM in ethanol. Thus, our findings suggest that BIM–TF#5 is an effective formulation to treat scalp alopecia, as part of a novel therapeutic approach involving direct prostamide F2α receptor-mediated stimulation of dermal papilla cells within hair follicles.
