Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Current deep learning-based dose prediction methods can only predict a specific dose distribution. If the predicted dose is inaccurate, no more options can be selected. We proposed a novel dose prediction method named dose band prediction, which outcomes a spectrum of predicted dose distribution for planning and quality assurance (QA). MATERIALS/METHODS Upper-Band and Lower-Band losses were involved in 3D convolution neural networks to establish the Upper-Band Network (UBN) and Lower-Band Network (LBN). Each voxel's ideal dose spectrum (dose band) was defined by the maximum/minimum rational dose predicted by UBN/LBN. 130 NPC cases with Tomotherapy (dataset 1), 49 cervix cases with IMRT (dataset 2) and 43 cervix cases with VMAT (dataset 3) were enrolled to establish and evaluate our dose band prediction method. RESULTS The dose band prediction method can successfully predict a spectrum of doses. Upper-Band/Lower-Band presents maximum/minimum rational dose; Middle-Line presents the average of Upper-Band and Lower-Band. The clinical implement dose was used as the reference dose. We evaluated the maximum interval between the reference and Upper-Band/Middle-Line/Lower-Band doses, and the percentage dose difference was used as the evaluation method. The differences in PTV for Upper-Band, Middle-Line and Lower-Band in dataset 1 were within 2.47%, 0.54%, and 2.8%; in dataset 2, they were within 0.37%, 1.15%, and 2.69%; in dataset 3, they were within 0.96%, 0.35%, and 1.66%. The mean difference of OARs for the Upper-Band, Middle-Line and Lower-Band in dataset 1 were within 8.13%, 4.97%, and 8.19%; in dataset 2, they were within 8.8%, 4.48%, and 5.52%; in dataset 3, they were within 4.01%, 3.13%, and 5.79% (shown in Table 1). CONCLUSION Dose Band prediction achieved high-accuracy dose prediction by the Middle-Line. More importantly, the Upper-Band/Lower-Band provided a spectrum of possible rational doses. Our Dose Band prediction method is based on a specific loss function, so it can easily be applied in various network and patient cases. Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) To characterize the tracking capability and dosimetric accuracy of biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT) under clinically relevant PET tracer uptake scenarios relative to the background. MATERIALS/METHODS A custom-made anthropomorphic phantom filled with a liquid 18F-FDG solution including two embedded fillable 22 mm diameter spherical structures mimicking GTV (= CTV) and OAR was coupled to motion stages to create an independent 3D respiratory motion with 22 mm maximum range for target and a 5 mm 1D sinusoidal motion in the OAR. The biology-tracking zone (BTZ) was generated by adding 5 mm margin to the motion extent. The three BgRT scenarios studied were representative of tumors with good (8:1), borderline (4:1) and undesired (2:1) PET biodistributions compared to background. The clinical safety limit of BgRT uses Activity Concentration within the BTZ (AC ≥ 5 kBq/ml) and Normalized Target Signal as a contrast metric (NTS ≧ 2.7 for planning and ≧ 2 for delivery). The BgRT deliveries were repeated 3 times with radiochromic film and integrated ion chamber capturing the target and OAR doses. Tracked dosimetry was assessed using a margin-loss calculation defined as the maximum linear difference in distance between the planned and delivered 97% prescription iso-dose lines. RESULTS The imaging-only PET images used to create BgRT plans had an AC of 7.0, 5.3, and 1.6 kBq/ml with an NTS of 6.8, 5.3, and 1.8 for 8:1, 4:1, and 2:1 concentrations, respectively. Qualitatively, the target was not visible on the planning PET images 2:1 loading scenario. At delivery, the mean pre-scan activity concentrations were 6.8, 4.7, and 3.7 kBq/ml with corresponding mean NTS of 3.7, 2.6, 1.5 for 8:1, 4:1 and 2:1 deliveries. The pre-scan values of AC or NTS did not satisfy the clinical system safety limits for 4:1 and 2:1 ratio experiments, but the engineering software allowed for the delivery to capture the resulting doses. The deliveries showed a prescription dose coverage to the CTV of 100% for the 8:1 and 4:1 cases, but 88% for the 2:1 case. When compared to the planned dose values, the delivered minimum doses were -7.6%, -8.6% and -10.9%, whereas the maximum dose differences in CTV were 1.2%, 0% and -4.8% of the planned dose distributions of the 8:1, 4:1 and 2:1 cases, respectively. Calculated margin losses were -2.3, -3.8, and -5.5 mm, for the 8:1, 4:1, and 2:1 cases, respectively. The maximum OAR doses were less than the maximum doses predicted on the bounded DVH curves for all scenarios. CONCLUSION With sufficient tracer uptake in the target, BgRT can deliver tracked dosimetry for targets with a large respiratory motion profile. Both the good BgRT candidate and borderline cases produced clinically acceptable delivered doses, even though the borderline case was flagged by the clinical system safety checks. As expected, the delivered BgRT dose distributions were suboptimal with reduced tumor over background PET contrast.

Abstract
In order to obtain comprehensive quality evaluation of one traditional Chinese patent medicine of Mailuoning oral liquid (MLN), one smart strategy combined by fingerprint, qualitative and quantitative analyses were carried out in this study. Firstly, the fingerprints of MLN were established by HPLC-UV and HPLC-ELSD, and explained the similarity of twenty-seven batches of MLN by similarity analysis (SA). Secondly, qualitative analysis was performed by high performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-QTOF-MS/MS). A total of 60 compounds were identified or tentatively identified based on chemical standards and fragmentation information. Finally, the quantitative method based on UPLC combined with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (UPLC-QqQ-MS/MS) was developed for the simultaneous determination of 40 target compounds. The results showed that MLN samples of different productive year were clearly discriminated and eight compounds (5-hydroxymethyl-2-furaldehyde, neochlorogenic acid, loganic acid, chlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, isoacteoside, angoroside C) were selected as differential markers for MLN. In a word, this strategy including fingerprint, identification of chemical composition and multiple-component quantification could be well applied to modern quality evaluation of MLN, which could be valuable for the further quality control of more other traditional Chinese patent medicines.

Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between socioeconomic status (SES), illness perception, social functioning, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of young and middle-aged maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients and the internal mechanism of action. Design A multicenter cross-sectional study. Methods An aggregate of 332 young and middle-aged MHD patients were enrolled from hemodialysis centers in four general hospitals in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, from June to December 2022. The questionnaires used included one for general demographic data, the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (BIPQ), Social Dysfunction Screening Scale (SDSS), and the 12-item Short Form Health Survey (SF-12). Results Both SES and HRQoL were negatively correlated with illness perception and social functioning, respectively. SES was positively correlated with HRQoL. Illness perception was positively correlated with social functioning. The indirect effects of illness perception and social functioning on the relationship between SES and HRQoL were 0.33 and 0.31, making up 41.06% and 38.91% of the sum. The chain indirect effect of illness perception and social functioning was 0.10, making up 12.59% of the total effect, while gender did not play a moderating role. Conclusion Illness perception and social functioning may independently and accumulatively mediate the association between SES and HRQoL. Nurses should consider developing individual intervention program for young and middle-aged MHD patients with low SES, focusing on establishing targeted counseling and health education strategies corresponding to illness perception and social functioning to help patients improve their HRQoL.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Suicidal ideation and behaviour are potential outcomes of workplace bullying. This review aimed to determine the extent of the association between workplace bullying and suicidal ideation and behaviour. STUDY DESIGN The study incorporated a systematic review and meta-analysis. METHODS The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement was followed to conduct a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis. A combination of subject terms and free words was used to search nine electronic databases. Two reviewers independently screened articles and extracted information according to the inclusion criteria. A meta-analysis was performed with averaged weighted correlations across samples using the STATA software (version 16.0) from pooled estimates of the main results from all studies. RESULTS In total, 25 articles of high or medium quality were included in the systematic review; 15 of these were included in the meta-analysis. The prevalence of suicidal ideation and behaviour was 18% and 4%, respectively. Individuals who experienced workplace bullying had 2.03-times and 2.67-times higher odds of reporting suicidal ideation and behaviour, respectively, after adjustment for confounding factors. Moderating and mediating factors may help reduce the risk of suicidal ideation and behaviour for individuals experiencing workplace bullying. CONCLUSION This study indicated that exposure to workplace bullying significantly increased the risk of suicidal ideation and behaviour.

Abstract
Oxidative stress plays an important role in the secondary neuronal damage after traumatic brain injury (TBI). Inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACs) has been shown to reduce reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and NADPH oxidases (Nox) transcription. Vorinostat is an HDAC inhibitor. This study investigated the influence of vorinostat on neurological impairments in a rat model of TBI induced by lateral fluid percussion injury (LFPI). Different concentrations of vorinostat (5, 25, and 50 mg/kg) were administered via intraperitoneal injection. Neurological deficits were evaluated by modified neurological severity scoring (mNSS). Evans blue extravasation was performed to assess blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability. Morris water maze assay was performed to evaluate cognitive impairments. Protein levels were evaluated through ELISA and Western blot. Vorinostat was found to attenuate TBI induced brain edema and BBB permeability in rats. Vorinostat also alleviated TBI-induced neurological impairments and anxiety-like behavior in rats. Vorinostat attenuated TBI induced apoptosis and oxidative stresses in ipsilateral injury cortical tissue. Vorinostat inhibited HDAC1, HDAC3, and Nox4 while activated AMPK signaling in ipsilateral injury cortical tissue. In conclusion, administration of vorinostat alleviates the secondary damage of TBI in rat model. The oxidative stress in the ipsilateral injury cortical tissues is decreased by the inhibition of Nox4 expression and the activation of AMPK.

Abstract
The relationship between cancer and microorganisms has been extensively studied, with bacteria receiving more attention than fungi. However, fungi have been shown to play a significant role in cancer development and progression. Understanding the underlying mechanisms is crucial for identifying new avenues in prevention and treatment. To evaluate the current state of research on fungi and cancer, we conducted a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. Using the Web of Science Core Collection database, we searched for English-language articles published between 1998 and 2022. Analyzing the resulting publication data, we identified trends, patterns, and research gaps. Our analysis encompassed co-authorship networks, citation analysis, and keyword co-occurrence analysis. With 8283 publications identified, averaging 331.32 publications per year, our findings highlight China, the United States, India, Japan, and Germany as the top contributing countries. The Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sun Yat-Sen University, and University of São Paulo emerged as the most productive institutions. Key themes in the literature included "cancer," "cytotoxicity," "apoptosis," "metabolites," and "fungus." Recent trends indicate increased interest in keywords such as "green synthesis," "molecular docking," "anticancer activity," "antibacterial," "anticancer," and "silver nanoparticles." Our study provides a comprehensive assessment of the current research landscape in the field of fungi and cancer, offering insights into collaborative networks, research directions, and emerging hotspots. The growing publication rate demonstrates the rising interest in the topic, while identifying leading countries, institutions, and research themes serves as a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and funders interested in supporting investigations on fungi-derived compounds as potential anti-cancer agents.

Abstract
N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation, the most prevalent post-transcriptional modification in eukaryotes, represents a highly dynamic and reversible process that is regulated by m6A methyltransferases, m6A demethylases and RNA-binding proteins during RNA metabolism, which affects RNA function. Notably, m6A modification is significantly enriched in the brain and exerts regulatory roles in neurogenesis and neurodevelopment through various mechanisms, further influencing the occurrence and progression of neurological disorders. This study systematically summarizes and discusses the latest findings on common m6A regulators, examining their expression, function and mechanisms in neurodevelopment and neurological diseases. Additionally, we explore the potential of m6A modification in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders, aiming to provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms and potential therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders.

Abstract
Pattern separation (PS) dysfunction is a type of cognitive impairment that presents early during the aging process, and this deficit has been attributed to structural and functional alterations in the dentate gyrus (DG) of the hippocampus. Absent in melanoma 2 (AIM2) is an essential component of the inflammasome. However, whether AIM2 plays a role in aging-associated cognitive dysfunction remains unclear. Here, we found that PS function was impaired in aging mice and was accompanied by marked synaptic loss and increased expression of AIM2 in the DG. Subsequently, we used an AIM2 overexpression virus and mice with AIM2 deletion to investigate the role of AIM2 in regulating PS function and synaptic plasticity and the mechanisms involved. Our study revealed that AIM2 regulates microglial activation during synaptic pruning in the DG region via the complement pathway, leading to impaired synaptic plasticity and PS function in aging mice. These results suggest a critical role for AIM2 in regulating synaptic plasticity and PS function and provide a new direction for ameliorating aging-associated cognitive dysfunction.

Abstract
The prevalence of periodontitis is increasing with the aging of the global population. Periodontitis has been suggested to accelerate aging and increase mortality. The present nationwide prospective cohort study aimed to determine whether periodontitis could modify the association of biological aging with all-cause and cause-specific mortality in middle-aged and older adults. Participants ≥40 y of age from the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES III) were included (n = 6,272). Phenotypic age acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel) was used to evaluate the biological aging process. Moderate/severe periodontitis was defined using a half-reduced Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and American Academy of Periodontology case definition. Multivariable Cox proportional hazard regression was conducted to estimate the association between PhenoAgeAccel and mortality risk, followed by effect modification analysis to test whether periodontitis modified the association. During a median follow-up of 24.5 y, 3,600 (57.4%) deaths occurred. The positive relationships between PhenoAgeAccel and all-cause and cause-specific mortality were nonlinear. After adjusting for potential confounders, the highest quartile of PhenoAgeAccel was associated with increased all-cause mortality in individuals with no/mild periodontitis (hazard ratio for Q4 vs. Q1 [HRQ4vs.Q1] = 1.789; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.541-2.076). In contrast, the association was enhanced in patients with moderate/severe periodontitis (HRQ4vs.Q1 = 2.446 [2.100-2.850]). Periodontal status significantly modified the association between PhenoAgeAccel and all-cause mortality (P for interaction = 0.012). In subgroup analyses, the modifying effect of periodontitis was observed in middle-aged adults (40-59 y), females, and non-Hispanic Whites. Although cause-specific mortality showed a similar trend, the PhenoAgeAccel × periodontitis interaction did not reach statistical significance. In conclusion, periodontitis might enhance the association of biological aging with all-cause mortality in middle-aged and older adults. Hence, maintaining and enhancing periodontal health is expected to become an intervention to slow aging and extend life span.

Abstract
Fluid-driven robotic systems typically use bulky and rigid power supplies, considerably limiting their mobility and flexibility. Although various forms of low-profile soft pumps have been demonstrated, they either are limited to specific working fluids or generate limited flow rates or pressures, making them ill-suited for widespread robotics applications. In this work, we introduce a class of centimeter-scale soft peristaltic pumps for power and control of fluidic robots. An array of high power density robust dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs) (each weighing 1.7 grams) were adopted as soft motors, operated in a programmed pattern to produce pressure waves in a fluidic channel. We investigated and optimized the dynamic performance of the pump by analyzing the interaction between the DEAs and the fluidic channel with a fluid-structure interaction finite element model. Our soft pump achieved a maximum blocked pressure of 12.5 kilopascals and a run-out flow rate of 39 milliliters per minute with a response time of less than 0.1 second. The pump can generate bidirectional flow and adjustable pressure through control of drive parameters such as voltage and phase shift. Furthermore, the use of peristalsis makes the pump compatible with various liquids. To illustrate the versatility of the pump, we demonstrate mixing a cocktail, powering custom actuators for haptic devices, and performing closed-loop control of a soft fluidic actuator. This compact soft peristaltic pump opens up possibilities for future on-board power sources for fluid-driven robots in a variety of applications, including food handling, manufacturing, and biomedical therapeutics.

Abstract
From the perspective of network attackers, finding attack sequences that can cause significant damage to network controllability is an important task, which also helps defenders improve robustness during network constructions. Therefore, developing effective attack strategies is a key aspect of research on network controllability and its robustness. In this paper, we propose a Leaf Node Neighbor-based Attack (LNNA) strategy that can effectively disrupt the controllability of undirected networks. The LNNA strategy targets the neighbors of leaf nodes, and when there are no leaf nodes in the network, the strategy attacks the neighbors of nodes with a higher degree to produce the leaf nodes. Results from simulations on synthetic and real-world networks demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. In particular, our findings suggest that removing neighbors of low-degree nodes (i.e., nodes with degree 1 or 2) can significantly reduce the controllability robustness of networks. Thus, protecting such low-degree nodes and their neighbors during network construction can lead to networks with improved controllability robustness.

Abstract
Subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) has been shown to be associated with microbiota. However, the association between SCH and oral microbiota has not yet been elucidated. The results of our previous clinical studies showed that Prevotella intermedia was abundant in the oral microbiota of SCH patients. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between SCH and oral microbiota, verify the pathogenicity of P. intermedia in SCH, and preliminarily explore the possible mechanism. The SCH mouse model with oral application of P. intermedia was established, and the variance in the mouse oral microbiota and changes in thyroid function and metabolism were detected in mice. Student's t test and analysis of variance were used for statistical analysis. Oral application of P. intermedia changed the composition of the oral microbiota of SCH mice, which enhanced the damage to the thyroid and decreased the expression of functional genes of the thyroid. Moreover, P. intermedia decreased oxygen consumption and aggravated glucose and lipid metabolism disorders in SCH mice. Glucose tolerance and insulin tolerance decreased, and the triglyceride content of the liver and inflammatory infiltration in adipose tissue increased in SCH mice after P. intermedia stimulation. Mechanistically, P. intermedia increased the proportion of CD4+ T cells in cervical lymph nodes and thyroids in SCH mice. Th1 cells were suggested to play an important role in the pathogenesis of SCH involving P. intermedia. In conclusion, P. intermedia aggravated SCH manifestations, including thyroid dysfunction and glucose and lipid metabolism disorders, by causing immune imbalance in mice. This study sheds new light on the pathogenesis of SCH from the perspective of oral microbiota.

Abstract
2-Ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate (EHDPP) is an organophosphorus type of flame retardant. It is mainly used as a flame-retardant plasticizer in the production of flexible polyvinyl chloride. EHDPP is widely present in environment, particularly in aquatic environment. In this study, we reported that EHDPP exposure significantly affected glucose and lipid metabolism in zebrafish larvae, which was reflected by changes in the transcription of relevant genes and decreased levels of glucose, pyruvate, and triglycerides. In addition, the transcriptomic analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes could enrich various endpoints in zebrafish larvae. Interestingly, EHDPP exposure could not only change the transcription of genes related to glucolipid metabolism but also cause cardiotoxicity by affecting the transcription of genes related to calcium signaling pathways in zebrafish larvae. To support these findings, we confirmed that these genes involved in cardiac morphology and development were significantly upregulated in zebrafish larvae after EHDPP exposure. More importantly, the distance and overlapping area of the atrium and ventricle were also changed in the EHDPP-exposed zebrafish larvae of transgenic Tg (myl7: EGFP). Overall, our study revealed that EHDPP exposure could affect various endpoints related to glucolipid metabolism and cardiac development in the early developmental stages of zebrafish.

Abstract
4-Nitrophenol (4-NP) is a serious organic environmental pollutant. Conversion of 4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol (4-AP) by catalytic hydrogenation is an effective solution. In this work, a catalyst (AgNCs@CF-g-PAA) loaded with silver nanoclusters (AgNCs) was prepared by radiation technique. Firstly, the template polyacrylic acid (PAA) was grafted onto the cotton fiber (CF) by radiation grafting technique to obtain a solid template (CF-g-PAA). After that, AgNCs were synthesized in situ on CF-g-PAA by radiation reduction, and the composite material AgNCs@CF-g-PAA was obtained directly. AgNCs@CF-g-PAA has an obvious photoluminescence phenomenon, which is attributed to the stable AgNCs binding to the carboxyl on the PAA molecular chain. Due to the extremely small size of AgNCs, AgNCs@CF-g-PAA has good catalytic characteristics. The prepared AgNCs@CF-g-PAA catalyst has a very high catalytic rate for the hydrogenation of 4-NP. Even at high concentrations of 4-NP, AgNCs@CF-g-PAA can still maintain a high catalytic rate. At the same time, the AgNCs@CF-g-PAA catalyst can also be used to catalyze the rapid hydrolysis of sodium borohydride, which is conducive to hydrogen production. In summary, we have prepared a practical catalyst AgNCs@CF-g-PAA with high catalytic performance based on cheap raw materials and a simple synthesis route, which provides a catalyst candidate for the treatment of water contaminant 4-NP and the production of hydrogen from sodium borohydride.

Abstract
Because of the half-filled t_{2g}-electron configuration, the BO_{6} octahedral distortion in a 3d^{3} perovskite system is usually very limited. In this Letter, a perovskitelike oxide Hg_{0.75}Pb_{0.25}MnO_{3} (HPMO) with a 3d^{3} Mn^{4+} state was synthesized by using high pressure and high temperature methods. This compound exhibits an unusually large octahedral distortion enhanced by approximately 2 orders of magnitude compared with that observed in other 3d^{3} perovskite systems like RCr^{3+}O_{3} (R=rare earth). Essentially different from centrosymmetric HgMnO_{3} and PbMnO_{3}, the A-site doped HPMO presents a polar crystal structure with the space group Ama2 and a substantial spontaneous electric polarization (26.5 μC/cm^{2} in theory) arising from the off-center displacements of A- and B-site ions. More interestingly, a prominent net photocurrent and switchable photovoltaic effect with a sustainable photoresponse were observed in the current polycrystalline HPMO. This Letter provides an exceptional d^{3} material system which shows unusually large octahedral distortion and displacement-type ferroelectricity violating the "d^{0}-ness" rule.

Abstract
Chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients treated with interferon shows encouraging results. However, its clinical efficacy is limited by significant individual differences in treatment responses. We identified an interferon-inducible effector, TRIM22, as the likely causal target of such differential responses. We found that TRIM22 was highly expressed in interferon-responsive patients and negatively correlated with HBV DNA and HBeAg serum levels. Stable cells overexpressing TRIM22 carried significantly less HBsAg, HBeAg, and HBV DNA, and cells with knocked-down TRIM22 by shRNA displayed higher levels of these markers than controls. Integrated bioinformatics analysis and subsequent experiments revealed that TRIM22 overexpression significantly increased the supernatant levels of IL-1β and IL-8, two important cytokines of NOD2/NF-κB pathway involved in interferon-induced antiviral activities. We identified three candidate microRNAs binding to 3'UTR of TRIM22 at various locations through typical imperfect paring using the TargetScan program. MiR-548c-3p appeared to be highly expressed, while the TRIM22 level was low in the suboptimal response group of CHB patients. The Luciferase reporter assay revealed an interaction between miR-548c-3p and the 3'UTR of TRIM22, leading to a controlled suppression of TRIM22 endogenous expression. This resulted in interferon's substantially weakened therapeutic efficacy, as indicated by the elevation of the serum levels of HBsAg, HBeAg and HBV DNA in miR-548c-3p-transfected HepAD38 cells. Our study demonstrated that a particular miR-548c-3p is the key negative regulator of TRIM22 in CHB patients with a weak response to interferon treatment, providing a novel marker and target in interferon-α therapy evaluation.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The incidence of infections among cancer patients is as high as 23.2-33.2% in China. However, the lack of information and data on the number of antibiotics used by cancer patients is an obstacle to implementing antibiotic management plans. AIM This study aimed to investigate bacterial infections and antibiotic resistance in Chinese cancer patients to provide a reference for the rational use of antibiotics. DESIGN This was a 5-year retrospective study on the antibiotic resistance of cancer patients. METHODS In this 5-year surveillance study, we collected bacterial and antibiotic resistance data from 20 provincial cancer diagnosis and treatment centers and three specialized cancer hospitals in China. We analyzed the resistance of common bacteria to antibiotics, compared to common clinical drug-resistant bacteria, evaluated the evolution of critical drug-resistant bacteria and conducted data analysis. FINDINGS Between 2016 and 2020, 216 219 bacterial strains were clinically isolated. The resistance trend of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae to amikacin, ciprofloxacin, cefotaxime, piperacillin/tazobactam and imipenem was relatively stable and did not significantly increase over time. The resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains to all antibiotics tested, including imipenem and meropenem, decreased over time. In contrast, the resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii strains to carbapenems increased from 4.7% to 14.7%. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) significantly decreased from 65.2% in 2016 to 48.9% in 2020. CONCLUSIONS The bacterial prevalence and antibiotic resistance rates of E. coli, K. pneumoniae, P. aeruginosa, A. baumannii, S. aureus and MRSA were significantly lower than the national average.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the awareness of malaria-related knowledge, the use of mosquito nets and their influencing factors among residents in Banlao Township, Cangyuan County, Yunnan Province. METHODS In August 2020, 19 settlement sites in Banlao Township, Cangyuan County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province were selected as study areas, and permanent residents at ages of 10 years and older were enrolled for a questionnaire survey, including residents' demographics, family economic status, malaria control knowledge and use of mosquito nets. In addition, the factors affecting the use of mosquito nets in the night prior to the survey were identified using multivariate logistic regression analysis. RESULTS A total of 320 questionnaires were allocated, and all were recovered (a 100% recovery rate). There were 316 valid questionnaires, with an effective recovery rate of 98.75%. The 316 respondents included 152 men and 164 women and 250 Chinese respondents and 66 foreign respondents. The awareness of clinical syndromes of malaria was significantly higher among Chinese residents (71.60%) than among foreign residents (50.00%) (χ2 = 11.03, P < 0.01), and the proportions of Chinese and foreign residents sleeping under mosquito nets were 46.00% and 69.70% on the night prior to the survey, respectively (χ2 = 11.73, P < 0.01). Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified ethnicity group and type of residence as factors affecting the use of mosquito nets in the night prior to the survey. CONCLUSIONS The awareness of malaria control knowledge, the coverage and the use of mosquito nets were low among residents in Banlao Township, Cangyuan County, Yunnan Province. Targeted health education is recommended to improve the awareness of malaria control knowledge and self-protection ability. In addition, improving the allocation of long-lasting mosquito nets and health education pertaining to their uses and increasing the proportion of using mosquito nets correctly is needed to prevent re-establishment of imported malaria.

Abstract
Ischemic stroke leads to white matter damage and neurological deficits. However, the characteristics of white matter injury and repair after stroke are unclear. Additionally, the precise molecular communications between microglia and white matter repair during the stroke rehabilitation phase remain elusive. In this current study, MRI DTI scan and immunofluorescence staining were performed to trace white matter and microglia in the mouse transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO) stroke model. We found that the most serious white matter damage was on Day 7 after the ischemic stroke, then it recovered gradually from Day 7 to Day 30. Parallel to white matter recovery, we observed that microglia centered around the damaged myelin sheath and swallowed myelin debris in the ischemic areas. Then, microglia of the ischemic hemisphere were sorted by flow cytometry for RNA sequencing and subpopulation analysis. We found that CD11c+ microglia increased from Day 7 to Day 30, demonstrating high phagocytotic capabilities, myelin-supportive genes, and lipid metabolism associated genes. CD11c+ microglia population was partly depleted by the stereotactic injecting of rAAV2/6M-taCasp3 (rAAV2/6M-CMV-DIO-taCasp3-TEVp) into CD11c-cre mice. Selective depletion of CD11c+ microglia disrupted white matter repair, oligodendrocyte maturation, and functional recovery after stroke by Rotarod test, Adhesive Removal test, and Morris Water Maze test. These findings suggest that spontaneous white matter repair occurs after ischemic stroke, while CD11c+ microglia play critical roles in this white matter restorative progress.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the changes in percentage of GATA3+ regulatory T (Treg) cells in patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) and mouse models. METHODS The nasal mucosa specimens were obtained from 6 AR patients and 6 control patients for detection of nasal mucosal inflammation. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were collected from 12 AP patients and 12 control patients to determine the percentages of Treg cells and GATA3+ Treg cells. In a C57BL/6 mouse model of AR, the AR symptom score, peripheral blood OVA-sIgE level, and nasal mucosal inflammation were assessed, and the spleen of mice was collected for detecting the percentages of Treg cells and GATA3+ Treg cells and the expressions of Th2 cytokines. RESULTS Compared with the control patients, AR patients showed significantly increased eosinophil infiltration and goblet cell proliferation in the nasal mucosa (P < 0.01) and decreased percentages of Treg cells and GATA3+ Treg cells (P < 0.05). The mouse models of AR also had more obvious allergic symptoms, significantly increased OVA-sIgE level in peripheral blood, eosinophil infiltration and goblet cell hyperplasia (P < 0.01), markedly lowered percentages of Treg cells and GATA3+ Treg cells in the spleen (P < 0.01), and increased expressions of IL-4, IL-6 and IL-10 (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION The percentage of GATA3+ Treg cells is decreased in AR patients and mouse models. GATA3+ Treg cells possibly participate in Th2 cell immune response, both of which are involved in the occurrence and progression of AR, suggesting the potential of GATA3+ Treg cells as a new therapeutic target for AR.
