Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the association between the eye exercises and one-year axial eye elongation in grade 7 students in Beijing. Methods: Sampling was performed using a multistage random cluster approach, and 1 443 students of grade 7 were selected from 9 middle schools in 6 districts for the baseline survey. Data were collected by questionnaires and axial length measurement. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to evaluate the association between eye exercises and excessive axial eye elongation. Results: Among 1 197 (82.95%) students with complete information, the median (QR) age was 12.00 (1.00) years old, girls accounted for 44.28%, and the median (QR) axial eye elongation was 0.22 (0.18) mm. In the multiple linear regression analysis, the frequency of eye exercises was significantly correlated with excessive axial eye elongation in boys (β=-0.135, 95%CI:-0.253--0.018) but not in girls (β=-0.075, 95%CI:-0.207- 0.058) after adjusting for sex, age, body height, the number of myopic parents, time spent outdoors and time spent on reading and writing outside class; while the seriousness of eye exercises was not significantly associated with axial eye elongation in boys (β=-0.028, 95%CI: -0.114-0.058) and girls (β=-0.035, 95%CI: -0.134-0.064). Conclusion: The increased frequency of eye exercises is beneficial to control the axial eye elongation in boys in Beijing.

Abstract
Abstract Objective To evaluate the discrimination efficiency of the SeqType® P52 Human Ancestry Identification SNP Detection Kit based on a high-throughput sequencing platform in five Chinese ethnic groups. Methods Using the SeqType® P52 Human Ancestry Identification SNP Detection Kit based on a high-throughput sequencing platform, a total of 350 samples from Han, Tibetan, Mongolian, Uygur, and Yi populations in China were detected and population cluster analysis was performed. Results The effective sequencing depth of a single site in a single sample was ≥720×, and the average report rate was 96%. The mean values of allele frequency differences between the Tibetan, Mongolian, Uygur, Yi and Han population were 0.20, 0.05, 0.24 and 0.11, respectively. Using Structure 2.3.4 software under K=5 mode, independent ancestral component in Han, Tibetan and Uygur could be detected, which was consistent with the result observed from the principal component analysis (PCA). For the Yi population, two thirds of them had relatively independent ancestral component close to the Tibetan population and one third were similar to the Uygur population. The Mongolian population had similar ancestral origin component with Han population. Conclusion The composite detection system with 52 screened ancestry-informative SNP sites has been established in this study, which can effectively analyze the composition and individual genetic components of populations from Han, Tibetan and Uygur. The ability to discriminate among Han, Mongolian and Yi needs to be further improved. The SeqType® P52 Human Ancestry Identification SNP Detection Kit can be used to infer the origin of an individual's ancestors in some forensic DNA cases.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the changes of functional connectivity of brain pain-emotion regulation region in patients with cervical spondylosis of cervical type by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). METHODS Thirty-two subjects were selected. Of them, 16 patients with cervical spondylosis of cervical type were divided into an observation group and 16 healthy subjects into a control group. The patients in the observation group were treated with acupuncture at Tianzhu (BL 10), Jingbailao (EX-HN 15), Jianzhongshu (SI 15) and ashi points for 30 min. The rest-state fMRI data was collected before and after acupuncture in the observation group. The subjects in the control group received no treatment, and the rest-state fMRI data was collected once. The visual analogue scale (VAS) score before and after treatment and the pain catastrophizing scale (PCS) score before treatment in the observation group were recorded. The resting-state brain functional imaging characteristics between the observation group and control group before treatment, between the observation group before and after treatment, were compared. Based on the brain functional connectivity of region of interest (ROI) the changes of functional connectivity in insula and ventral tegmental area (VTA) in emotional regulation brain region were observed, and the correlation between functional connectivity changes and VAS、PCS scores in patients of the observation group was analyzed. RESULTS In the observation group, the VAS score was (1.94±1.12) after the treatment, which was lower than (5.62±1.20) before treatment (P<0.05). The PCS score before treatment was (19.18±8.42) in the observation group. Compared with the control group, the areas with increased functional connectivity with insula in the observation group before acupuncture included bilateral dorsolateral prefrontal lobe and right middle cingulate gyrus, and the areas with increased functional connectivity with VTA included right central posterior gyrus and right insula. In the observation group, the connectivity coefficient of left insula and left dorsolateral prefrontal lobe (r=0.438, P<0.05), the connectivity coefficient of right insula and right dorsolateral prefrontal lobe (r=0.483, P<0.05) were positively associated with the VAS score. In the observation group, the connectivity coefficient between the right insula and the right middle cingulate gyrus (r=-0.560, P<0.05), the connectivity coefficient between the right VTA and the right insula (r=-0.525, P<0.05) were negatively associated with the PCS score. After acupuncture, the areas with decreased functional connectivity with insula included bilateral posterior central gyrus, right anterior central gyrus, middle cingulate gyrus and left corpus callosum, while the bilateral suboccipital gyrus and left cerebellum showed increased functional connectivity with right insula. The areas with decreased functional connectivity with VTA included bilateral dorsomedial prefrontal cortex, left anterior cingulate gyrus, right middle temporal gyrus and left anterior cingulate gyrus. After acupuncture in the observation group, the functional connectivity of left VTA left dorsomedial prefrontal cortex and left anterior cingulate cortex (r=-0.548, P<0.05), the functional connectivity of right VTA-bilateral dorsomedial prefrontal cortex and left anterior cingulate cortex (r=-0.547, P<0.05) were negatively associated with the PCS score. CONCLUSION Pain involves the formation and expression of "pain-emotion-cognition". Acupuncture can systematically regulate the brain functional connections between cognitive regions such as dorsal prefrontal lobe and anterior cingulate gyrus and emotional regions such as insula and VTA in patients with cervical spondylosis of cervical type, suggesting that acupuncture has a multi-dimensional and comprehensive regulation effect on pain.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effects of orthokeratology lens on children with myopic anisometropia. Methods: Retrospective case series study. The data of 226 myopic anisometropia children, (10.83±1.56)years old, including 95 males and 131 females, fitted with orthokeratology(OK) lens in Beijing Tongren Hospital from June 2017 to June 2019 were collected. According to the lens wearing condition and baseline anisometropia, they were divided into four groups: group A1 with an average age of (10.68±1.66) years (bilateral OK lens wearing with low anisometropia, 1.0 D≤SE difference<2.5 D, 50 males and 61 females), group A2 with an average age of (11.24±1.38) years (bilateral OK lens wearing with moderate and high anisometropia, SE difference≥2.5 D, 10 males and 23 females), group B1 with an average age of (10.79±1.51) years (unilateral OK lens wearing with low anisometropia, 1.0 D≤SE difference<2.5 D, 17 males and 21 females) and group B2 with an average age of (10.97±1.60) years (unilateral OK lens wearing with moderate and high anisometropia, SE difference≥2.5 D, 18 males and 26 females). After wearing OK lens for one year, the changes of axial length(AL) and AL difference were observed and statistically analyzed. Results: (1) AL changes: after wearing OK-lens for one year, AL of each eye increased. In group A1, the AL of the more myopic eyes and the less myopic eyes increased by (0.20±0.21) mm and (0.24±0.22) mm respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (t=-3.208, P=0.002); in group A2, the AL growth of the more myopic eyes and the less myopic eyes were (0.04±0.11) mm and (0.17±0.14) mm, and the difference was statistically significant (t=-5.545, P<0.001). In group B1, the AL elongation of the more myopic eyes and the less myopic eyes were (0.14±0.21) mm and (0.39±0.23) mm, and in group B2, the AL growth of the more myopic eyes and the less myopic eyes were (0.11±0.14) mm and (0.54±0.24) mm, with statistically significant differences(t=-6.533, -11.643; all P<0.001). There was a linear correlation between AL elongation and age of the more myopic eyes and the less myopic eyes in group A1(corrected R2=0.208, 0.237) and group A2 (corrected R2=0.169, 0.360). There was no linear correlation of the more myopic eyes and the less myopic eyes between AL change and age or baseline myopia in group B1 (F=0.514, 1.205;P=0.602, 0.312) and group B2 (F=0.841, 0.056; P=0.439, 0.946). (2)Change of AL difference: after wearing OK lens for one year, the changes of AL difference in groupA1, A2, B1 and B2 were (-0.04±0.14) mm,(-0.13±0.13) mm,(-0.26±0.24) mm and (-0.43±0.25) mm, and the decrease of AL difference in moderate and high anisometropia groups were greater than that in low anisometropia groups (t =-3.211, -3.180; P=0.002, 0.002).There was a linear correlation between the reduction of AL difference and baseline anisometropia in group A1, A2 and B2 (corrected R2=0.099, 0.149, 0.230), and there was no linear relationship between the decrease of AL difference and the baseline anisometropia in group B1 (F=0.014, P=0.908). Conclusions: Orthokeratology could effectively control the progression of myopia and to treat anisometropia. The effect of myopia control was better in the older binocular OK lens wearers, and for the patients with greater baseline anisometropia, the treatment effect of anisometropia was better.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)-associated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is an increasing healthcare burden worldwide. We examined the role of dietary cholesterol in driving NAFLD-HCC through modulating gut microbiota and its metabolites. DESIGN High-fat/high-cholesterol (HFHC), high-fat/low-cholesterol or normal chow diet was fed to C57BL/6 male littermates for 14 months. Cholesterol-lowering drug atorvastatin was administered to HFHC-fed mice. Germ-free mice were transplanted with stools from mice fed different diets to determine the direct role of cholesterol modulated-microbiota in NAFLD-HCC. Gut microbiota was analysed by 16S rRNA sequencing and serum metabolites by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) metabolomic analysis. Faecal microbial compositions were examined in 59 hypercholesterolemia patients and 39 healthy controls. RESULTS High dietary cholesterol led to the sequential progression of steatosis, steatohepatitis, fibrosis and eventually HCC in mice, concomitant with insulin resistance. Cholesterol-induced NAFLD-HCC formation was associated with gut microbiota dysbiosis. The microbiota composition clustered distinctly along stages of steatosis, steatohepatitis and HCC. Mucispirillum, Desulfovibrio, Anaerotruncus and Desulfovibrionaceae increased sequentially; while Bifidobacterium and Bacteroides were depleted in HFHC-fed mice, which was corroborated in human hypercholesteremia patients. Dietary cholesterol induced gut bacterial metabolites alteration including increased taurocholic acid and decreased 3-indolepropionic acid. Germ-free mice gavaged with stools from mice fed HFHC manifested hepatic lipid accumulation, inflammation and cell proliferation. Moreover, atorvastatin restored cholesterol-induced gut microbiota dysbiosis and completely prevented NAFLD-HCC development. CONCLUSIONS Dietary cholesterol drives NAFLD-HCC formation by inducing alteration of gut microbiota and metabolites in mice. Cholesterol inhibitory therapy and gut microbiota manipulation may be effective strategies for NAFLD-HCC prevention.

Abstract
Ovarian cancer (OC) is one of the deadliest gynecological malignancy. Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is its most common form. OC has both, a poor prognosis and a high mortality rate due to the difficulties of early diagnosis, limitation of current treatment and resistance to chemotherapy. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) is a heterogeneous group of cell-derived submicron vesicles, which can be detected in body fluids, and it can be classified into three main types including exosomes, micro-vesicles, and apoptotic bodies. Cancer cells can produce more EVs than healthy cells. Moreover, the contents of these EVs have been found distinctive from each other. It has been considered that EVs shedding from tumor cells may be implicated in clinical applications, such as a tool for tumor diagnosis, prognosis and potential treatment of certain cancers. In this review, we provide a brief description of EVs. in diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and drug-resistantance of OC. Cancer-related EVs show powerful influences on tumors by various biological mechanisms. However, the contents mentioned above remain in the laboratory stage and there is a lack of large-scale clinical trials, and the maturity of the purification and detection methods is a constraint. In addition, amplification of oncogenes on ecDNA is remarkably prevalent in cancer. It may be possible that ecDNA can be encapsulated in EVs and thus detected by us. In summary, much more research on EVs needs to be performed to reveal breakthroughs in OC and to accelerate the process of its application in clinic.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of the experiments in this study was to explore the effect of exenatide on intrauterine adhesions (IUAs) and to elucidate its mechanism to provide new ideas for the clinical treatment of IUAs. METHODS In this study, an animal model of IUAs was established by double stimulation using mechanical curettage and inflammation. After modeling, the treatment group was injected subcutaneously with three doses of exenatide for two weeks. The model group was injected with sterile ultrapure water, and the sham operation group was treated the same as the normal group, except for the observation of abdominal wound changes. Two weeks later, all mice were sacrificed by cervical dysfunction. The obtained mouse uterine tissue was used for subsequent experimental detection, using HE and Masson staining for histomorphological and pathological analysis; qRT-PCR for the detection of TGF-β1, α-SMA, and MMP-9 gene expression in uterine tissue; and western blotting analysis of TGF-β1, α-SMA, and collagen 1 protein expression to verify whether exenatide has a therapeutic effect on IUAs in mice. RESULTS In the high-dose exenatide treatment group, the endometrial glands significantly increased in size, and the deposition area of collagen fibers in the endometrial tissue was significantly reduced. We observed that the mRNA expression of TGF-β1 and α-SMA in the endometrial tissue of IUAs mice in this group was significantly reduced, while the expression of MMP-9 was significantly increased. In addition, we found that the protein expression of TGF-β1, α-SMA, and collagen 1 remarkably decreased after treatment with exenatide. CONCLUSION Exenatide may reduce the deposition of collagen fibers in the uterus of IUAs mice and promote the proliferation of endometrial glands in mice.

Abstract
Treatments are lacking for sarcopenia, a debilitating age-related skeletal muscle wasting syndrome. We identifed increased amounts of 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH), the prostaglandin E2 (PGE2)-degrading enzyme, as a hallmark of aged tissues, including skeletal muscle. The consequent reduction in PGE2 signaling contributed to muscle atrophy in aged mice and results from 15-PGDH-expressing myofibers and interstitial cells, such as macrophages, within muscle. Overexpression of 15-PGDH in young muscles induced atrophy. Inhibition of 15-PGDH, by targeted genetic depletion or a small-molecule inhibitor, increased aged muscle mass, strength, and exercise performance. These benefits arise from a physiological increase in PGE2 concentrations, which augmented mitochondrial function and autophagy and decreased transforming growth factor-β signaling and activity of ubiquitin-proteasome pathways. Thus, PGE2 signaling ameliorates muscle atrophy and rejuvenates muscle function, and 15-PGDH may be a suitable therapeutic target for countering sarcopenia.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the characteristics of left ventricular longitudinal strain (LS) in myocardial amyloidosis (CA), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Fabry disease (FD), as well as the correlation between left ventricular LS and these diseases. Methods: A total of 14 CA patients, 28 HCM patients and 5 FD patients who visited the Department of Cardiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University from June 2017 to November 2019 were retrospectively included. EchoPAC software was used to analyze left ventricular LS, and univariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the correlation between echocardiographic LS indexes and various myocardial hypertrophy diseases. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to assess the sensitivity and specificity of echocardiograph LS indexes in the diagnosis of various myocardial hypertrophy diseases. Results: There were significant differences in LS of left ventricular basal segment, inferior wall, posterior wall, lateral wall and posterior septum among the three groups (P<0.05). The absolute value of LS in the left ventricular basal segment decreased in the CA group; the absolute value of LS in left ventricular posterior wall and lateral wall decreased significantly in the FD group (P<0.05); the absolute values of LS in left ventricular basal segment, inferior wall, posterior septum, lateral wall and posterior wall increased significantly in the HCM group (P<0.05). The absolute value of LS < 7.9% in the left ventricular basal segment, or > 13.2% in the inferior wall and > 9.2% in the basal segment, or < 8.3% in the lateral wall and < 7.9% in the posterior wall were the indicators of high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of CA, HCM and FD, respectively. Conclusions: Left ventricular LS was an important index to differentiate myocardial hypertrophy. Combined with their respective clinical characteristics, it could provide certain reference value for clinical practice.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the mediating effect of psychological capital (PsyCap) between occupational stress and suicidal ideation. Methods: In September 2017, stratified-cluster sampling method was adopted to select employees of an electronic manufacturing service industry as respondents for a questionnaire survey in Jiangsu province. The demographic characteristics of employees were collected. A total of 2 465 employees were investigated, and 2 216 valid questionnaires were collected. The level of occupational stress and PsyCap was assessed by the Effort-Reward Imbalance Scale(ERI)and PsyCap Questionnaire. Results: The age of 2 216 employees was (28.70±5.26) years old, including 1 230 males (55.5%). The scores of occupational stress on effort, reward and over-commitment were (3.08±0.63), (3.73±0.60) and (2.51±0.68), respectively. The average ERI index (ratio of effort to return) was (0.88±0.39). The total score of PsyCap was (86.62±15.23). The detection rate of suicidal ideation within two weeks was 13.9% (309/2 216). The average score of effort and over-commitment and the ERI index were positively correlated with the number of suicidal ideation detected within two weeks, with correlation coefficients about 0.081, 0.141 and 0.164, respectively. Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of the first domestic ACYW135 meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a control vaccine named AC group meningococcal conjugate vaccine for 3 months (90-119 days) infants. Methods: From February 2017 to June 2018, a randomized, blinded, and similar vaccine-controlled clinical trial design was adopted at the Henan Vaccine Clinical Research Base. The subjects were 3 months old healthy infants, a total of 720, based on a 1∶1 ratio. The random allocation table for entry was randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group. According to the 3, 4, and 5 month-old vaccination procedures, the subjects were vaccinated with test vaccine (ACYW135 group meningococcal conjugate vaccine) and control vaccine (group A group C meningococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine), of which 720 were given the first dose, 696 were given the second dose (test group: 346; control group: 350), and 692 were given the third dose (test group: 344; Control group: 348). Results: The overall adverse reaction rate of the test vaccine was 21.90% (230 cases), which was lower than the 32.04% (339 cases) of the control vaccine (P<0.001). The incidence of systemic adverse reactions was 19.52% (205 cases), which was lower than that of the control vaccine (27.69%) (293 cases) (P<0.001). The local adverse reaction rate was 3.04% (32 cases), which was lower than the control group (7.84%) (83 cases) (P<0.001). The graded adverse reaction test vaccine was 0.57% (6 cases), which was lower than the control group of 2.36% (25 cases) (P<0.001). The positive conversion rate of anti-bacterial serum antibodies showed that there was no significant difference between the test vaccine group A (91.42%), C (88.76%) and the control vaccine (92.92%) (87.02%) (P>0.05). Group Y and W135 was 88.17% (298 cases), 99.41% (336 cases), respectively. The GMT results showed that the test vaccine group A was 56.24, the control vaccine was 57.43 (P>0.05); the group C test vaccine (43.53) was higher than the control group (27.28) (P<0.001). The group Y and W135 are 89.22 and 140.66, respectively. Among them, the proportion of the group C GMT antibody ≥ 1∶128 for test vaccine (31.07%, 105 cases) was higher than the control vaccine (16.22%, 55 cases) (P<0.001). Conclusion: ACYW135 group meningococcal conjugate vaccine has more safety and immunogenicity after application to 3 month old infants.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the risk factors associated with mortality and the prognostic value of Charlson comorbidity index (CCI) for mortality in patients with non-high-risk pulmonary embolism complicated by caner. Methods: Patients diagnosed with non-high-risk pulmonary embolism and caner from the medical departments of West China Hospital of Sichuan University from May, 2015 to April, 2018 were included in this study. The patients were classified into death group and survival group according to whether they died during hospitalization. Clinical information was collected and univariate along with multivariate analysis were performed in order to identify the independent risk factor related to short-term mortality in these patients. Besides, all the patients were assessed the comorbidity burden using CCI score and thereby to evaluate the prognostic value of CCI for short-time mortality. Results: A total of 195 patients were included in this study, including 115 males and 80 females. In all, 32 patients died during hospitalization and the mortality rate was 16.4%. Univariate analysis showed that male (P=0.044), age ≥65y (P=0.008), staying in bed (P=0.001), chronic pulmonary diseases (P=0.030), central venous catheterization (P=0.015), stroke history within 1 month (P=0.015), pneumonia (P=0.017), respiratory failure (P=0.017), diabetes mellitus (P=0.005) and anemia (P=0.035) were related to short term mortality of these patients. As for laboratory examination results, levels of hemoglobin and sodium in death group were significantly lower than survival group (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression showed that age ≥65y (OR=3.01, 95%CI: 1.05-8.68, P=0.041), staying in bed (OR=4.15, 95%CI: 1.37-12.54, P=0.012), central venous catheterization (OR=16.10, 95%CI: 2.09-124.08, P=0.008), stroke history within 1 month (OR=6.56, 95%CI: 1.05-40.95, P=0.044) and hyponatremia (OR=2.75, 95%CI: 1.06-7.15, P=0.038) were independent risk factors of short term mortality in these patients. Besides, CCI score in death group was significantly higher than that in survival group (5.66±2.96 vs 4.13±2.74, P=0.005). Pulmonary embolism patients with CCI≥4 were associated with 4.25-fold increased risk of mortality compared with patients with CCI<4 (OR=4.25, 95%CI: 1.83-9.89, P=0.001), and the per additional 1-score increase of CCI after 4 was associated with 4.89-fold increased risk of mortality (OR=4.89, 95%CI: 2.07-11.55, P<0.001). Survival analysis showed that patients with CCI≥4 had lower survival rate than the patients with CCI<4 during hospitalization (P<0.001). Conclusions: Age ≥65y, staying in bed, central venous catheterization, stroke history within 1 month and hyponatremia are independent risk factor of short-term mortality in patients with non-high-risk pulmonary embolism and caner. CCI score has prognostic value of short term mortality in these patients, and the risk increases with the increase of comorbidities patients have.

Abstract
Objective: Present study investigated the mechanism of heart failure associated with coronavirus infection and predicted potential effective therapeutic drugs against heart failure associated with coronavirus infection. Methods: Coronavirus and heart failure were searched in the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and omics data were selected to meet experimental requirements. Differentially expressed genes were analyzed using the Limma package in R language to screen for differentially expressed genes. The two sets of differential genes were introduced into the R language cluster Profiler package for gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto gene and genome encyclopedia (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis. Two sets of intersections were taken. A protein interaction network was constructed for all differentially expressed genes using STRING database and core genes were screened. Finally, the apparently accurate treatment prediction platform (EpiMed) independently developed by the team was used to predict the therapeutic drug. Results: The GSE59185 coronavirus data set was searched and screened in the GEO database, and divided into wt group, ΔE group, Δ3 group, Δ5 group according to different subtypes, and compared with control group. After the difference analysis, 191 up-regulated genes and 18 down-regulated genes were defined. The GEO126062 heart failure data set was retrieved and screened from the GEO database. A total of 495 differentially expressed genes were screened, of which 165 were up-regulated and 330 were down-regulated. Correlation analysis of differentially expressed genes between coronavirus and heart failure was performed. After cross processing, there were 20 GO entries, which were mainly enriched in virus response, virus defense response, type Ⅰ interferon response, γ interferon regulation, innate immune response regulation, negative regulation of virus life cycle, replication regulation of viral genome, etc. There were 5 KEGG pathways, mainly interacting with tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling pathway, interleukin (IL)-17 signaling pathway, cytokine and receptor interaction, Toll-like receptor signaling pathway, human giant cells viral infection related. All differentially expressed genes were introduced into the STRING online analysis website for protein interaction network analysis, and core genes such as signal transducer and activator of transcription 3, IL-10, IL17, TNF, interferon regulatory factor 9, 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthetase 1, mitogen-activated protein kinase 3, radical s-adenosyl methionine domain containing 2, c-x-c motif chemokine ligand 10, caspase 3 and other genes were screened. The drugs predicted by EpiMed's apparent precision treatment prediction platform for disease-drug association analysis were mainly TNF-α inhibitors, resveratrol, ritonavir, paeony, retinoic acid, forsythia, and houttuynia cordata. Conclusions: The abnormal activation of multiple inflammatory pathways may be the cause of heart failure in patients after coronavirus infection. Resveratrol, ritonavir, retinoic acid, amaranth, forsythia, houttuynia may have therapeutic effects. Future basic and clinical research is warranted to validate present results and hypothesis.

Abstract
PURPOSE In MRI, the macromolecular proton fraction (MPF) is a key parameter of magnetization transfer (MT). It represents the relative amount of immobile protons associated with semi-solid macromolecules involved in MT with free water protons. We aim to quantify MPF based on spin-lock MRI and explore its advantages over the existing MPF-mapping methods. METHODS In the proposed method, termed MPF quantification based on spin-lock (MPF-SL), off-resonance spin-lock is used to sensitively measure the MT effect. MPF-SL is designed to measure a relaxation rate (Rmpfsl ) that is specific to the MT effect by removing the R1ρ relaxation due to the mobile water and chemical exchange pools. A theory is derived to quantify MPF from the measured Rmpfsl . No prior knowledge of tissue relaxation parameters, including T1 or T2 , is needed to quantify MPF using MPF-SL. The proposed approach is validated with Bloch-McConnell simulations, phantom, and in vivo liver studies at 3.0T. RESULTS Both Bloch-McConnell simulations and phantom experiments show that MPF-SL is insensitive to variations of the mobile water pool and the chemical exchange pool. MPF-SL is specific to the MT effect and can measure MPF reliably. In vivo liver studies show that MPF-SL can be used to detect collagen deposition in patients with liver fibrosis. CONCLUSION A novel MPF imaging method based on spin-lock MRI is proposed. The confounding factors are removed, and the measurement is specific to the MT effect. It holds promise for MPF-sensitive diagnostic imaging in clinical settings.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Degenerative joint disease (DJD) of the temporomandibular joints (TMJs) in adolescents and young adults is closely associated with disc displacement without reduction (DDw/oR). OBJECTIVE This study aimed to determine the pathogenesis of early-stage TMJ DJD induced by DDw/oR. METHODS 31 female subjects aged 12-30 years were enrolled, comprising 12 patients with DDw/oR without DJD, 13 with DDw/oR and early-stage DJD, and 6 healthy volunteers. The synovial fluid samples of the subjects were screened for 27 inflammatory-related cytokines using multiple cytokine array. Significantly increased cytokines and a key regulator of osteoclastogenesis "receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand" (RANKL) were further determined by sandwich immunoassay. These factors were also assessed for the possible pathophysiologic actions on RAW264.7 cell proliferation, migration, osteoclastogenesis and bone-resorbing activity using Cell Counting Kit-8, Transwell system, tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase staining and osteo assay plates. RESULTS Macrophage-derived inflammatory protein-1 beta (MIP-1β) and regulated upon activation normal T cell expressed and secreted (RANTES) were found to vary significantly in relation to the controls. In contrast to an unchanged concentration of RANKL, a strong increase in the level of RANTES was detected in subjects with DDw/oR and early-stage DJD. MIP-1β concentrations were only elevated in subjects with DDw/oR without DJD. Functionally, both MIP-1β and RANTES could enhance macrophage migration in a concentration-dependent manner, while only RANTES exhibited a promoting effect on osteoclast formation and bone-resorbing activity. CONCLUSIONS Chemokine RANTES was significantly upregulated and might be a key regulator of osteoclastogenesis contributing to DDw/oR-induced early-stage TMJ DJD.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) has been shown to be an effective treatment for peritoneal tumors; whether preventive HIPEC after radical resection for T4 stage colon adenocarcinoma could decrease peritoneal recurrence remains unknown. The aim of the present study was to compare peritoneal recurrence and short-term survival in patients with T4 stage colon adenocarcinoma undergoing HIPEC plus adjuvant chemotherapy or adjuvant chemotherapy alone following surgery. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed T4 stage colon adenocarcinoma patients who had radical tumor resection at our institution between January 2014 and January 2019. Clinical data were extracted from the database at our institution, and patient survival and long-term complications were assessed through repeated outpatient examinations and telephone interviews. RESULTS A total of 352 patients were included in this study; 157 patients received postoperative HIPEC plus adjuvant chemotherapy (HIPEC group), 195 patients received adjuvant chemotherapy alone (conventional chemotherapy group). Forty-one (26.1%) patients in the HIPEC group had a peritoneal recurrence and the peritoneum was the first site of tumor recurrence in 6 (14.6%) of them. However, 73 (37.4%) patients experienced peritoneal recurrence in the conventional group, and the peritoneum was the first site of tumor recurrence in 25 (34.2%) (p = 0.019). Disease-free survival in the HIPEC group at 1 and 3 years was 93.3% and 61.1%, respectively, versus 89.3% and 51.7% in the conventional chemotherapy group (p = 0.038). Overall survival in the HIPEC group at 1 and 3 years was 100.0% and 82.7%, respectively, versus 100.0% and 76.9% in the conventional chemotherapy group (p = 0.420). The two groups did not differ with respect to severe complications. CONCLUSIONS Preventive HIPEC after radical surgery may decrease peritoneal recurrence and promote disease-free survival for T4 stage colon adenocarcinoma. Large-scale randomized controlled studies are needed to confirm the results of our study.

Abstract
PURPOSE To evaluate whether pre-treatment intravoxel incoherent motion diffusion-weighted imaging (IVIM-DWI) can predict treatment outcome after 2 years in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). METHOD One hundred and sixty-one patients with newly diagnosed NPC underwent pre-treatment IVIM-DWI. Univariate Cox regression analysis was performed to evaluate the correlation of the mean values of the pure diffusion coefficient (D), pseudo-diffusion coefficient (D*), perfusion fraction and apparent diffusion coefficient with local relapse-free survival (LRFS), regional relapse-free survival (RRFS), distant metastases-free survival (DMFS) and disease-free survival (DFS). Significant diffusion parameters, together with staging, age, gender and treatment as confounding factors, were added into a multivariate model. The area under the curves (AUCs) of significant parameters for disease relapse were compared using the Delong test. RESULTS Disease relapse occurred in 30 % of the patients at a median follow-up time of 52.1 months. The multivariate analysis showed that high D and T-staging were correlated with poor LRFS (p = 0.042 and 0.020, respectively) and poor DFS (p = 0.023 and 0.001, respectively); low D* and high T-staging with poor RRFS (p = 0.020 and 0.033, respectively); and high N-staging with poor DMFS (p = 0.006). D with the optimal threshold of ≥0.68 × 10-3 mm2/s and T-staging showed similar AUCs (AUC = 0.614 and 0.651, respectively; p = 0.493) for predicting disease relapse. CONCLUSION High D and low D* were predictors of poor locoregional outcome but none of the diffusion parameters predicted DMFS in NPC.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of cell sheets containing allogeneic keratinocytes and fibroblasts in the treatment of partial-thickness burn wounds. Methods: The cell sheets containing allogeneic keratinocytes and fibroblasts were constructed using polyurethane biofilm as carrier. Then gross observation and histological observation were conducted. From April 2016 to December 2017, Changhai Hospital of Naval Medical University recruited patients with acute partial-thickness burn wounds that met the inclusion criteria for this prospective and positively self-controlled clinical trial. Recruitment of 40 acute partial-thickness burn wounds were planned with each selected single wound being not smaller than 10 cm×10 cm and not more than 5% total body surface area (TBSA). Each wound was equally divided into two areas, which were recruited into cell sheet group and conventional treatment group according to the random number table. The wounds in cell sheet group were covered by cell sheet and then sterile gauze as secondary dressings. Depending on the wound healing and exudation, the sterile gauze was replaced every 1 to 3 day (s) after the treatment was started, and the cell sheet was replaced every 7 days (namely dressing changing). The wounds in conventional treatment group were covered by sulfadiazine silver cream gauze and then dressed with sterile gauze, with the dressings changed every 2 to 3 days depending on wound exudation. On treatment day 5, 7, 10, and 14, the wound healing rates in the two groups were calculated. The complete wound healing time, the total number of dressing changes, and the status of wound infection during treatment were recorded. The Visual Analogue Scale was used to score the pain at the first dressing change. Scar formation of patients was followed up for 6 to 12 months after injury. Safety indicators including vital signs, laboratory examination indexes, and adverse reactions during treatment were observed. Data were statistically analysed with Wilcoxon rank sum test and Bonferroni correction. Results: (1) Each prepared cell sheet had a diameter of about 8 cm and was about 49 cm(2) in size, containing 2 or 3 layers of keratinocytes and fibroblasts. (2) A total of 43 patients were enrolled, of whom 3 patients dropped out of the study. Of the 40 patients who completed the treatment, there were 22 males and 18 females who were aged 1 to 57 year (s), with total burn area of 2% to 26% TBSA. (3) On treatment day 5, 7, 10, and 14, the wound healing rates in cell sheet group were significantly higher than those in conventional treatment group (Z=4.205, 4.258, 3.495, 2.521, P<0.05 or P<0.01). The complete wound healing time in cell sheet group was 7 (6, 8) days, which was significantly shorter than 11 (7, 14) days in conventional treatment group (Z=4.219, P<0.01). The total number of wound dressing changes in cell sheet group was 1 (1, 2) times, which was significantly less than 6 (4, 7) times in conventional treatment group (Z=5.464, P<0.01). (4) The wounds in cell sheet group in 31 patients healed before the first dressing change. The pain score of wounds in the first dressing change in cell sheet group of 9 patients was 1 (0, 1) point, while the pain score of wounds in the first dressing change in conventional treatment group of 40 patients was 2 (1, 3) points. There was no obvious infection in the wounds in both groups of 40 patients before the wound healing. Nine patients completed the follow-up after the trial. In 6 patients, no scar formation was observed in cell sheet group or conventional treatment group. The color of wounds in cell sheet group was consistent with normal skin, and there was only a small amount of pigment deposition in the wounds of conventional treatment group. Three patients developed pigment deposition only in the wounds of cell sheet group but obvious scars in conventional treatment group. (5) The abnormal fluctuations of vital signs including body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and laboratory examination indexes of all patients during treatment were alleviated through the process of burn wound healing. No obvious adverse reactions or abnormalities related to the treatment were observed. Conclusions: The cell sheet containing allogeneic keratinocytes and fibroblasts can reduce the number of dressing changes, accelerate wound epithelialization, shorten wound healing time, reduce pain during dressing change in the treatment of partial-thickness burn wounds, and it may reduce scar hyperplasia after wound healing because of accelerating wound epithelization. Its clinical application is simple, safe, and effective.

Abstract
We report constraints on the dark photon effective kinetic mixing parameter (κ) with data taken from two p-type point-contact germanium detectors of the CDEX-10 experiment at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. The 90% confidence level upper limits on κ of solar dark photon from 205.4 kg-day exposure are derived, probing new parameter space with masses (m_{V}) from 10 to 300 eV/c^{2} in direct detection experiments. Considering dark photon as the cosmological dark matter, limits at 90% confidence level with m_{V} from 0.1 to 4.0 keV/c^{2} are set from 449.6 kg-day data, with a minimum of κ=1.3×10^{-15} at m_{V}=200 eV/c^{2}.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the use of multiplex PCR amplicon sequencing (mPCR-NGS) technology in detecting gene mutations related to drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue specimens, and to explore its clinical value in the diagnosis of drug-resistant tuberculosis. Methods: Fifty clinical MTB strains isolated in the Changping District Tuberculosis Control Institute of Beijing from April 2013 to October 2015 with drug susceptibility test (DST) results of rifampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol, streptomycin, ofloxacin, capreomycin, kanamycin and amikacin available were recovered, including 42 drug-resistant strains and 8 drug-sensitive strains. The mPCR-NGS test was established to detect genes related to the 8 anti-tuberculosis drugs according to the previously published studies and databases. Fifty-five paraffin-embedded tissue specimens from drug-resistant tuberculosis patients were collected in the Department of Pathology, Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University during November 2017 to September 2018. All the specimens showed no less than one mutation in the gene regions related to drug resistance of any of the 4 drugs (rifampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol or fluoroquinolones) by probe melting curve assay. The effectiveness of mPCR-NGS test was evaluated on clinical MTB isolates using phenotypic DST as the reference. Clinical evaluation of mPCR-NGS test on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded specimens from TB patients was performed using probe melting curve assay as the reference. The sensitivity, specificity and coincidence of mPCR-NGS were analyzed. Results: Using phenotypic DST as the reference, the sensitivities of the mPCR-NGS for detecting drug-resistance of rifampicin, isoniazid, streptomycin, and ethambutol were 95% (38/40), 93% (27/29), 93% (27/29), and 72% (13/18), respectively; and the specificities were 100% (10/10), 95% (20/21), 100% (21/21), and 94% (30/32), respectively. The sensitivities for capreomycin, kanamycin and amikacin were all 100% (2/2, 3/3, 3/3), and the specificities were 98% (47/48), 100% (33/33) and 100% (47/47), respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of ofloxacin were 70% (7/10) and 100% (40/40), respectively. The total coincidence rate for the 8vdrugs was 94%, and the Kappa value was 0.87. The 55 paraffin-embedded tissue specimens included in this study were all tested by probe melting curve assays. Among them 28 were resistant to rifampicin, 37 resistant to isoniazid, 13 resistant to ethambutol, and 17 resistant to fluoroquinolones. Using the probe melting curve assay as the reference, the sensitivities of the mPCR-NGS for detecting resistant to rifampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol, and fluoroquinolones were 100% (28/28), 95% (35/37), 100%, and 100%, respectively; and the specificities were all 100% (42/42, 38/38). The total coincidence rate of the two methods was 99%, and the Kappa value was 0.98. Conclusions: mPCR-NGS showed good sensitivities and specificities in detecting drug-resistant gene mutations both in clinical MTB isolates and paraffin-embedded tissue specimens. mPCR-NGS has the potential to be an accurate and rapid molecular pathological technology for diagnosis of drug-resistant tuberculosis.

Abstract
We present results on light weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) searches with annual modulation (AM) analysis on data from a 1-kg mass p-type point-contact germanium detector of the CDEX-1B experiment at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. Datasets with a total live time of 3.2 yr within a 4.2-yr span are analyzed with analysis threshold of 250 eVee. Limits on WIMP-nucleus (χ-N) spin-independent cross sections as function of WIMP mass (m_{χ}) at 90% confidence level (C.L.) are derived using the dark matter halo model. Within the context of the standard halo model, the 90% C.L. allowed regions implied by the DAMA/LIBRA and CoGeNT AM-based analysis are excluded at >99.99% and 98% C.L., respectively. These results correspond to the best sensitivity at m_{χ}<6 GeV/c^{2} among WIMP AM measurements to date.

Abstract
Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a hereditary disease characterized by degeneration and the loss of photoreceptors. Stem cell-based therapy has emerged as a promising strategy for treating RP. Stem cells from exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHEDs), a type of mesenchymal stem cell from human exfoliated deciduous teeth, have the potential to differentiate into photoreceptor-like cells under specific induction in vitro. It has been confirmed that through paracrine secreta, SHEDs exert neurotrophic, angiogenic, immunoregulatory, and antiapoptotic functions in injured tissues. This study was designed to determine whether retinal-differentiated SHEDs and the conditioned medium derived from SHEDs (SHEDs-CM) have therapeutic effects in a mouse model of RP. The results showed that both SHEDs and SHEDs-CM improved electroretinogram responses, ameliorated photoreceptor degeneration, and maintained the structure of the outer segments of photoreceptors. The therapeutic effects were related to antiapoptotic activity of SHEDs and SHEDs-CM. Thus, SHEDs may be a promising stem cell source for treating retinal degeneration.

Abstract
Clinically, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors with a high rate of morbidity and mortality. Hepatitis B virus infection is the main cause of hepatocellular carcinoma in China and it is a serious threat to people's health. Antiviral drugs such as nucleos(t)ide analogues and interferon can inhibit viral replication and liver fibrosis progression and reduce the occurrence of hepatitis B-related HCC. This article reviews the effects of different antiviral therapy on the occurrence of hepatitis B-related hepatocellular carcinoma in recent years.

Abstract
We report results on the searches of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) with sub-GeV masses (m_{χ}) via WIMP-nucleus spin-independent scattering with Migdal effect incorporated. Analysis on time-integrated (TI) and annual modulation (AM) effects on CDEX-1B data are performed, with 737.1 kg day exposure and 160 eVee threshold for TI analysis, and 1107.5 kg day exposure and 250 eVee threshold for AM analysis. The sensitive windows in m_{χ} are expanded by an order of magnitude to lower DM masses with Migdal effect incorporated. New limits on σ_{χN}^{SI} at 90% confidence level are derived as 2×10^{-32}∼7×10^{-35} cm^{2} for TI analysis at m_{χ}∼50-180 MeV/c^{2}, and 3×10^{-32}∼9×10^{-38} cm^{2} for AM analysis at m_{χ}∼75 MeV/c^{2}-3.0 GeV/c^{2}.

Abstract
Objective: To explore molecular characteristics of endometrial endometrioid cancer according to The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) based molecular classification of endometrial carcinomas and to confirm simple and clinically applicable surrogate methodologies in pathological practice. Methods: Two hundred and twenty-eight cases of endometrial endometroid adenocarcinomas (EnACs) collected from August 2001 to August 2017 from Peking University Health Science Center, Peking University Third Hospital were molecularly categorized by using Sanger sequencing for the exonuclease domain mutations (EDM) of POLE, and by immunohistochemistry for p53 and mismatch repair (MMR) proteins. The cohort was classified into polymerase-E exonuclease domain mutation (POLE EDM), mismatch repair deficiency (MMR-D), p53 abnormal (p53-abn) and p53 wild type (p53-wt) groups. The correlation between molecular subgroups and the clinical-pathological features including prognosis were analyzed. Results: The cohort was distributed as follows: 11(4.8%) POLE EDM, 47(20.6%) MMR-D, 9(4.0%) p53-abn and 161(70.6%) p53-wt. p53-wt subgroup patients demonstrated significantly higher lymph node metastasis (P=0.011) and more advanced stage (P=0.036) than those of somatic hypermutation group cases (POLE EDM and MMR-D). In the FIGO grade 2-3 EnACs cohort, TCGA molecular subtyping was significantly correlated with progression-free survival and overall survival (P=0.043). POLE EDM subgroup had the best survival, while p53-abn subgroup had the worst. Conclusions: Identification of POLE EDM and MMR-D subgroups provides independent and highly valuable prognostic information beyond established histological classification. Based on immunohistochemistry of MMR, p53 and POLE mutational analysis, this pragmatic molecular classification scheme can be served as a reliable surrogate for TCGA molecular classification, which has potential to be used routinely in Chinese pathological practice.

Abstract
AIMS This study evaluated the effects of a potential probiotic, Bacillus sp., on the growth, serum and hepatic triglyceride, histological features of liver tissues and colonic microflora in high-fat diet-induced obese mice. METHODS AND RESULTS Sixty male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into five groups: mice fed a low-fat diet (Cont), mice fed a high-fat diet (Hf), Hf and orally challenged with Bacillus subtilis (Bs), B. licheniformis (Bl) and a mixture of B. subtilis and B. licheniformis (Bls). Gavage feeding was provided at week 9 and the experiment was continued for 8 weeks. Treatment with B. licheniformis and a mixture of Bacillus sp. attenuated body weight gain at the end of study and enhanced glucose tolerance by sensitizing insulin action in the Hf-fed mice. Lower serum and hepatic triglyceride and epididymal fat weight were observed in Bl and Bls groups than that of Hf group. Lesser hepatic fat deposition was observed in the Bl and Bls groups than in the Hf group. High-throughput sequencing showed that Bacillus sp. supplementation dramatically changed the colonic bacterial community in obese mice. CONCLUSIONS Bacillus licheniformis reduced body weight and improved glucose tolerance, obesity and insulin resistance in Hf-fed mice by changing colonic microbiota composition. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY Orally administration of Bacillus licheniformis may reduce body weight and decrease fat deposition by modulating colonic bacterial community in Hf model.

Abstract
Objectives: To establish a geographic information application system for analyzing the spatial and temporal distribution of major infectious diseases in various regions of the world and to assess the risk of importation of those diseases, to China. Methods: We collected and integrated the following information on: 1) outbreaks and areas of epidemics of major infectious diseases in the world from 2000 to 2017, 2) cases of infectious diseases in arriving travelers through active surveillance at international entry-exit ports in mainland China from 2014 to 2016, 3) numbers of annual global international flights and travelers in the country. With the above information, a global space-time distribution database on major infectious diseases was then established, using the technology related to the system. Models regarding technologies on time-space analysis, probabilistic risk assessment and geographic information visualization, were applied to establish a geographic information system on risk assessment of infectious diseases that imported to China. Results: Through integration of information on outbreaks and epidemic areas of 60 major infectious diseases in 220 countries and regions around the world, as well as 42 kinds of infectious diseases identified among the international arrivals in mainland China, a system was then developed. Information on the distribution of major infectious diseases and their potential risks in the worldwide various regions, characteristics of spectrum and disease burden of infectious diseases imported to each province of mainland China were displayed. Thus, risks on importing infectious diseases in each province via air way were able to be evaluated and simulated by the probabilistic risk assessment model, under the information on specific kind of infectious disease, outside China. Conclusion: Geographic Information System on Risk Assessment Regarding Infectious Diseases Imported to China provides basic data for epidemiological reconnaissance and assessment on risks of importing infectious diseases outside China, thus would be helpful for the improvement of strategies on surveillance, prevention and control regarding the importing infectious diseases, in China.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of pigment epithelial-derived factor (PEDF) gene-modified human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) on rats with diabetic retinopathy (DR). Methods: Experimental study. Human umbilical cord MSC were transfected by lentivirus packaging PEDF-MSC-green fluorescent protein (GFP) and GFP-MSC plasmid vectors, and the expression of PEDF and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was measured in the cell culture medium. Fifty adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups: normal control group (group A), DR control group (group B), phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) treated group (group C), GFP-MSC treated group (group D) and PEDF-MSC-GFP treated group (group E), with 10 rats in each group. Streptozotocin was intraperitoneally injected to make early DR models. After four-month intervention, groups D and E were given intravitreal injection of GFP-MSC and PEDF-MSC-GFP; group C was given intravitreal injection of phosphate-buffered saline; groups A and B did not receive special treatment. The changes of retina in different groups were detected by hematoxylin and eosin staining, and the thickness of inner plexiform layer, inner nuclear layer and outer nuclear layer was measured by computer-based image analytical system. Immunohistochemistry was applied to observe PEDF and VEGF. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the expression of PEDF and VEGF mRNA. Results: The expression of CD105, CD73 and CD90 was positive, while the expression of CD34, CD45, CD11b, CD19 and HLA-DR was negative. ELISA results showed that after transfection PEDF protein expression in the supernatant of PEDF-MSC (84.09±7.07) μg/L was higher than the control group (9.03±0.14) μg/L (P<0.05). At 2 weeks after intravitreal injection, green fluorescence was observed in the rat vitreous of groups D and E under a fluorescence microscope; no obvious green fluorescence was found in the retina. After 2 months of intravitreal injection, the thickness of inner plexiform layer in group E was significantly decreased; the thickness of inner nuclear layer and outer nuclear layer was higher (P<0.05). Immunohistochemical staining showed that 2 months after intravitreal treatment, the average optical density values of PEDF were improved, but the average optical density values of VEGF were decreased in group E (P<0.05). Real-time polymerase chain reaction showed that 2 months after treatment, the expression level of PEDF mRNA in group E was improved, but the expression level of VEGF mRNA was decreased (P<0.05). Conclusions: Intravitreal injection of PEDF-MSC could up-regulate the expression of PEDF and down-regulate the expression of VEGF in diabetic rats and may represent a novel candidate resource for cell therapy of DR nerve damage. Abstract
Objective: To investigate the influence of occupational stress on recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) in women of childbearing age. Methods: From January to December, 2017, 75 working women of childbearing age (25-35 years) who were admitted to a provisional hospital in Lanzhou, China and diagnosed with RSA were assigned into patient group. At a 1∶4 ratio, 300 age-matched working women who had normal first pregnancy were randomly selected as controls. A case-control study was conducted by a self-made questionnaire and the effort-reward imbalance scale. The impact of occupational stress on RSA in women of childbearing age was analyzed by evaluation of occupational harmful factors, regularity, effort-reward ratio, and sleep quality. Results: There were significant differences in the distribution of sleep, daily exercise, night shift, extrinsic-effort/low-reward score, and effort/low-reward score between the patient group and the control group (χ(2)=7.867, P<0.05; χ(2)=7.377, P<0.05; χ(2)=3.714, P<0.05; χ(2)=6.651, P<0.05; χ(2)=8.556, P<0.05) . With controlled factors such as general conditions and living habits, logistic regression analysis showed that poor sleep quality and high-effort/low-reward were risk factors for RSA (odds ratio[OR]=1.462, 95% confidence interval[CI]: 1.032~2.073; OR=3.253, 95%CI: 1.169~9.053) . A regular work was a protective factor against RSA (OR=0.644, 95%CI: 0.438-0.946) . Conclusion: In occupational stress, irregular working hours, lack of sleep, and high-effort/low-reward are risk factors for RSA. Working women of childbearing age should ensure adequate sleep, pay attention to effort-reward balance, and make a regular work schedule.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the correlation between age-related hearing loss and cognitive impairment. Methods: 201 elderly patients, who were admitted to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Peking University People's Hospital from March 1, 2017 to March 31, 2017, were evaluated with hearing screening and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale. Among them, 101 were female and 100 were male, aged 60-90 years old. Taking the cognitive level as the dependent variable, and taking the age, sex, education, occupation, marital status, residence, and average hearing loss (average hearing threshold of 500, 1 000, 2 000, and 4 000 Hz), as well as the length of conscious hearing loss as the independent variables, the single factor analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis were used to screen the main factors affecting the cognitive level of the elderly. Results: Of the 201 elderly patients, 39 had normal hearing, 65 had mild hearing loss, 80 had moderate hearing loss, 16 had severe hearing loss, and 1 had profound hearing loss. The average degree of hearing loss was the influencing factor of cognitive impairment, and it mainly affected the directional force and abstract ability in the cognitive domains (P<0.05); The age, self-reported hearing loss, years of education, marital status, past ear diseases, and hypertension were relatively independent factors that affected the cognitive level(P<0.05). Conclusions: Age-related hearing loss is the risk factor for the cognitive impairment, especially for abstraction and orientation, in the elderly. The self-reported hearing loss is an independent risk factor for cognitive impairment.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the optimal position in application of acoustic pharyngometry to detect the pharyngeal condition and to assess its therapeutic effect on obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS). Method: Eight adult males were assigned to the normal group, and 57 male patients with OSAHS diagnosed by polysomnograhy(PSG) were assigned to the snoring group. Of the snoring group, 11 patients who were diagnosed severe OSAHS underwent low-temperature plasma uvulopaltopharyngoplasty(UPPP) and coblationchanneling of the tongue(CCT), were assigned to the operation subgroup; 8 patients underwent continuous positive airway pressure(CPAP), which was assigned to the CPAP subgroup. And remainders underwent conservative treatment, including weight loss and position change. Acoustic pharyngometry (three positions including sitting position, supine position and lateral position) and PSG exam were performed in all participants. Additionally, acoustic pharyngometry under three positions was conducted again in patients in the operation and CPAP subgroups three months after treatment. Result: The minimum cross-sectional area was negatively associated with both AHI and the percentage of time with oxygen saturation below 90%(SIT90)( P<0.01). The correlation coefficient of the minimum crosssectional area insupine position with AHI and SIT90 were r=-0.569,r=-0.478, respectively. Under supine position, the minimum crosssectional area was negatively correlated with body mass index(BMI)(r=-0.265, P=0.033), and the minimum crosssectional area was negatively associated with neck circumference(r=-0.309, P=0.012). The minimum cross-sectional area was significantly increased after treatment of OSAHS(both operation and CPAP), which was statistically different before and after treatment compared to the control group(P<0.01). Conclusion: ①The minimum cross-sectional area is significantly correlated with AHI and SIT90, respectively. The acoustic pharyngometry can be used to screen OSAHS patients. ②In this study, the minimum cross-sectional area under supine position is significantly smaller than that under sitting position. In addition, the minimum cross-sectional area under supine position harbored a better correlation with AHI and SIT90, which could better reflect the narrowness of pharyngeal cavity during sleep. ③Acoustic pharyngometry could be a simple, rapid and non-invasive technique that can objectively evaluate the efficacy of surgical and CPAP methods, and provided a more favorable basis for future clinical work..

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the postoperative prognosis and the related factors of patients with stage pT2N0-1M0 of thoracic esophageal carcinoma(EC). Methods: From 2008 to 2011, clinical data of 275 cases with stage pT2N0-1M0 of thoracic EC treated by esophagectomy were enrolled. These cases includ 180 male and 95 female. Among them, 32 cases were upper thoracic EC, 186 cases were middle thoracic EC and 57 cases were lower thoracic EC. Alternatively, 205 cases were stage pN0, 70 cases were stage pN1. 155 cases received esophagectomy alone and 120 cases received esophagectomy and postoperative adjuvant therapy. Results: The end of follow-up time was on September 30th, 2014. The 1-, 3-, 5-year overall survival (OS) rates were 91.6%, 70.2% and 63.7%, respectively. The 1- 3-, 5-year progression-free survival (PFS) rates were 83.9%, 64.0% and 60.0%, respectively. The result of univariate analysis showed that the depth of tumor invasion, pathological type, pN stage and number of metastatic lymph nodes were significantly associated with OS (all of P<0.05). Moreover, the gender, the depth of tumor invasion, pathological type, pN stage and number of metastatic lymph nodes were significantly associated with PFS (all of P<0.05). Cox multivariate analysis showed that the location of primary tumor and pN stage were the independent factors of OS (both P<0.05). The gender, pN stage and postoperative adjuvant therapy were the independent factors of PFS (all of P<0.05). Conclusion: Among the patients with pT2N0~1M0 stage of thoracic EC, patients with upper thoracic EC or pN1 stage have poorer postoperative prognosis compared with others, and postoperative adjuvant treatment is recommended for these patients.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the significance of Silva pattern system about clinical application in invasive endocervical adenocarcinoma. Methods: Data obtained from the Maternity Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University was analyzed, 78 endocervical adenocarcinoma cases were included from December, 2006 to August, 2017. The average age of patients was (45.1±9.1) years old (ranged 27-71 years old). Clinical stage: stageⅠa 26 cases and Ⅰb 49 cases and stage Ⅱa 3 cases. All pathological slides were reviewed, stratified cases into pattern A, B and C according to Silva system criteria. Clinicopathological parameters of three Silva subgroups were analyzed, χ(2) test was used to investigate the correlation of Silva system and clinicopathological parameters. Follow-up data were collected until Jan. 3rd, 2018. The median follow-up time was 41 months (ranged 5-90 months). Kruskal-Wallis H test and Fisher test were used to analyze prognoses among different Silva subgroups. Results: (1) Silva A cases accounted for 38% (30/78) of all patients, 24 cases were stageⅠa, 6 cases were stageⅠb. The median tumor thickness was 2.1 mm (ranged 1.0-10.0 mm). No lymph vascular space invasion (LVSI) and perineural invasion (PNI) was detected, and all lymph node (LN) were negative for metastatic carcinoma. All patients were alive and had no evidence of recurrence. About 21% (16/78) cases were classified as Silva B, including 2 stage Ⅰa and 14 stage Ⅰb. The median tumor thickness was 5.2 mm (ranged 2.0-11.0 mm). Several patients had LVSI (4/16), LN metastasis (1/10) or PNI (1/16), but there was no recurrence or death. Thirty two (41%, 32/78) cases were Silva C, including 29 stage Ⅰb and 3 stage Ⅱa. The median tumor thickness was 11.5 mm (ranged 4.0-21.0 mm). The incidence of LVSI (53%, 17/32), LN metastasis (31%, 8/26) or PNI (16%, 5/32) was significantly increased. There were two recurrent cases and one death cases. (2) Statistical data demonstrated that Silva pattern system was closely correlated with clinicopathological parameters, such as clinical stage (r=0.754, P=0.000), tumor depth (P=0.000) and LVSI (r=0.534, P=0.000). But there was no correlation between Silva system and LN metastasis or PNI (all P>0.05). (3) Silva subgroups demonstrated no significant difference in recurrence and death (P>0.05). Conclusions: The application of Silva pattern system could effectively predict the prognosis of patients. It may be helpful to select reasonable operation before surgery and to realize individualized treatment of cervical adenocarcinoma.

Abstract
Ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) of total monoterpene glycosides extract (TMGE) from oil peony seed cakes was investigated. The extraction yield was optimized using response surface methodology (RSM). The chemical constituents of the monoterpene glycosides extract were isolated by repeated column chromatography, and the contents of the main isolated monoterpene glycosides in the oil peony seed cakes were determined by HPLC. The optimum conditions were as follows: a liquid-to-solid ratio of 27 mL/g, ultrasonic extraction time of 16 min, ultrasonic extraction temperature of 26 °C, and ethanol concentration of 67%. Under these conditions, the extraction yield of TMGE was 10.24%. Twenty monoterpene glycosides were isolated from the oil peony seed cakes, and compounds 11-12, 16 and 20 showed strong inhibitory activities on NO production. TMGE from oil peony seed cakes can also to be used as promising immunosuppressive drug due to its high content of monoterpene glycosides and immune-inhibitory activity. PRACTICAL AAPPLICATION: The peony seed oil was authorized as a new food by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. Peony seed cake is one of the most important by-products in the preparation of peony seed oil, and accounts for approximately 40% of the total mass of the peony seed. Total monoterpene glycosides are the main active ingredient of oil peony seed cake. This research has optimized the extraction conditions of total monoterpene glycoside from seeds cake of Paeonia ostii, which will provide useful reference information for further studies, and offer related industries with helpful guidance in practice.

Abstract
Objective: A series of otitis media patients with Austin A and C type ossicles defects received ossicular chain reconstruction surgery using either autologous incus or titanium partial ossicular replacement prosthesis (PORP).The hearing outcomes and exclusion rate of prosthesis were compared between these two groups. Method: One hundred and seventy-six patients with chronic otitis media underwent ossiculoplasty in our hospital during 2016-2017. These patients were divided into 2 groups: group A consisted of those receiving autologous incus replacement (n=85), and group B consisted of those receiving titanium PORP (n=91). All the patients received CWD mastoidectomy and ossiculoplasty in one stage and were followedup in postoperative 3, 6 and 12 months. Result: The postoperative hearing improvement rates in group A and B were 85.88% and 92.31%, respectively, and there was no statistical difference. No statistical difference of the postoperative hearing improvement rates was observed between Austin A and C type in 2 groups. Three cases (3.29%) had ossicle exclusion in B group, and 0 case in A group, which was not statistical different (P>0.05). Conclusion: Patients receiving ossicular chain reconstruction surgery using autologous incus show similar hearing outcomes as those using titanium PORP. The risk of prosthesis exclusion is lower for autologous incus than titanium PORP. The residual handle of malleus has no obvious influence on the postoperative hearing improvement.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the associations between exposure to chlorination disinfection by-products (CDBPs) during gestation and newborns' small for gestational age (SGA). Methods: During April 2010 to July 2012, a total of 3 903 pregnant women who lived in a district with the same water treatment plant in Wuhan, China were recruited to this perspective study. Information about demographic characteristics of pregnant women and their newborns was collected. The tap water samples were monthly collected for 28 months in 3 different sites, with 84 samples, and 4 kinds of trihalomethanes (THMs)(chloroform (TCM), bromodichloromethane (BDCM), dibromochloromethane (DBCM), and bromoform (TBM)) and 2 kinds of chlorohaloacetic acids (HAAs) (trichloroacetic acid (TCAA), dichloroacetic acid (DCAA)) were determined. The pregnant women were divided into 4 groups(Q1 to Q4) by quartile method according to their exposure level of CDBPs. Binary Logistic regression models were used to assess the associations between exposure to CDBPs during gestation and newborns' small for gestational age. Results: The average weight of all the newborns was (3 310.19±389.91) g, of which 169 (4.33%) were SGA. The median concentrations of TCM, BDCM, bromo-THMs, total THMs, TCAA, and DCAA during the whole pregnancy were 18.07, 4.93, 8.51, 26.74, 10.65, and 13.77 μg/L, respectively. Binary Logistic regression analysis showed dose-response relationships between elevated TCM and total THMs during the whole gestation and compared with Q1 group, while there was a increased risk of SGA in Q4 group, and OR(95%CI) was 1.87 (1.01-3.49) , 2.30 (1.22-4.35) , respectively (P for trend equaled to 0.044, 0.015). Compare with Q1 group, there also be positive associations between exposure to TCAA (Q4 group) during first-trimester and the whole gestation and SGA, while OR(95%CI) was 2.16 (1.19-3.91) (P for trend equaled to 0.015). Conclusion: Exposure to CDBPs during gestation might increase the risk of newborns' SGA.
