Abstract
Background The purpose of this article is to summarize the opinions of the surgical oncology leaders from the Global Forum of Cancer Surgeons (GFCS) about the global impact of COVID-19 pandemic on cancer surgery. Methods A panel session (virtual) was held at the annual Society of Surgical Oncology 2021 International Conference on Surgical Cancer Care to address the impact of COVID-19 on cancer surgery globally. Following the virtual meeting, a questionnaire was sent to all the leaders to gather additional opinions. The input obtained from all the leaders was collated and analyzed to understand how cancer surgeons from across the world adapted in real-time to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. Results The surgical oncology leaders noted that the COVID-19 pandemic led to severe disruptions in surgical cancer care across all domains of clinical care, education, and research. Several new changes/protocols associated with increased costs were implemented to deliver safe care. Leaders also noted that preexisting disparities in care were exacerbated, and the pandemic had a detrimental effect on well-being and financial status. Conclusions The COVID-19 pandemic has led to severe disruptions in surgical cancer care globally. Leaders of the GFCS opined that new strategies need to be implemented to prepare for any future catastrophic events based on the lessons learned from the current events. The GFCS will embark on developing such a roadmap to ensure that surgical cancer care is preserved in the future regardless of any catastrophic global events.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To correlate computed tomography findings and endoscopic localisation of the anterior ethmoidal artery during surgery, and to analyse the intranasal landmarks and abnormalities of the artery. METHOD The anterior ethmoidal artery was studied with high-resolution computed tomography and endoscopic surgery in 30 patients undergoing functional endoscopic sinus surgery (group A), and with endoscopic dissection on 30 human cadavers (group B). RESULTS The anterior ethmoidal artery was demonstrated on computed tomography in 25 patients and intra-operatively in 12 (group A). It was identified in 26 cadavers (group B). Dehiscence of bony canal and branching was noted in 10.53 per cent of cases. The mean (± standard deviation) intranasal length of the anterior ethmoidal artery was 7.29 (± 1.21) mm, the distance of the artery from the axilla of the middle turbinate was 16.24 (± 2.75) mm, and the mean distance from the ground lamella was 8.97 (± 1.46) mm. CONCLUSION High-resolution computed tomography scanning prior to functional endoscopic sinus surgery is mandatory to identify the anterior ethmoidal artery. Endoscopically, the axilla of the middle turbinate and the ground lamella can serve as dependable reference points to identify the artery. Cadaver dissection improves understanding of anatomy.

Abstract
The multidisciplinary nature and long duration of birth cohort studies allow investigation of the relationship between general and oral health and indicate the most appropriate stages in life to intervene. To date, the worldwide distribution of oral health-related birth cohort studies (OHRBCSs) has not been mapped, and a synthesis of information on methodological characteristics and outcomes is not available. We mapped published literature on OHRBCSs, describing their oral health-related data and methodological aspects. A 3-step search strategy was adopted to identify published studies using PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and OVID databases. Studies with baseline data collection during pregnancy or within the first year of life or linked future oral health data to exposures during either of these 2 life stages were included. Studies examining only mothers' oral health and specific populations were excluded. In total, 1,721 articles were suitable for initial screening of titles and abstracts, and 528 articles were included in the review, identifying 120 unique OHRBCSs from 34 countries in all continents. The review comprised literature from the mid-1940s to the 21st century. Fifty-four percent of the OHRBCSs started from 2000 onward, and 75% of the cohorts were from high-income and only 2 from low-income countries. The participation rate between the baseline and the last oral health follow-up varied between 7% and 93%. Ten cohorts that included interventions were mostly from 2000 and with fewer than 1,000 participants. Seven data-linkage cohorts focused mostly on upstream characteristics and biological aspects. The most frequent clinical assessment was dental caries, widely presented as decayed, missing, and filled teeth (DMFT/dmft). Periodontal conditions were primarily applied as isolated outcomes or as part of a classification system. Socioeconomic classification, ethnicity, and country- or language-specific assessment tools varied across countries. Harmonizing definitions will allow combining data from different studies, adding considerable strength to data analyses; this will be facilitated by forming a global consortium.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to assess changes in mental health and wellbeing measures across a 50-day physical activity workplace program. The secondary aims assessed the relationship between demographic and pre-program physical activity self-reported variables, mental health, wellbeing and program engagement measures. The study utilized a naturalistic longitudinal design with a study population of 2903 people. Participants were engaged in the 10,000 step daily physical activity program for 50-days and measures of engagement were tracked. 1320 participants provided full pre/post-program data across a range of standardized mental health and wellbeing measures alongside demographic and program engagement measures. For individuals providing pre and post program data there was a significant reduction in anxiety (18.2%, p = .008), stress (13.0%, p = .014) and sleep related impairment (6.9%, p < .001) alongside a significant improvement in overall wellbeing (6.7%, p = .001). The data further showed no significant mental health differences were identified between individuals who recorded below versus equal to or above 10,000 steps. Regression analyses indicated numerous group and personal variables impacted mental health, wellbeing and program engagement. The study highlights improvements in a range of mental health and wellbeing scores occurred over the 50-day activity program for people who complete the program. Finally, the study identified a range of protective and risk factors for mental health benefits of these programs and level of engagement. Whilst there were similarities in the pre-program mental health and wellbeing scores of those who completed and those lost to follow-up, further research is required to better characterize and understand this group.

Abstract
The p_{T}-differential production cross sections of prompt D^{0}, Λ_{c}^{+}, and Σ_{c}^{0,++}(2455) charmed hadrons are measured at midrapidity (|y|<0.5) in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV. This is the first measurement of Σ_{c}^{0,++} production in hadronic collisions. Assuming the same production yield for the three Σ_{c}^{0,+,++} isospin states, the baryon-to-meson cross section ratios Σ_{c}^{0,+,++}/D^{0} and Λ_{c}^{+}/D^{0} are calculated in the transverse momentum (p_{T}) intervals 2<p_{T}<12 and 1<p_{T}<24 GeV/c. Values significantly larger than in e^{+}e^{-} collisions are observed, indicating for the first time that baryon enhancement in hadronic collisions also extends to the Σ_{c}. The feed-down contribution to Λ_{c}^{+} production from Σ_{c}^{0,+,++} is also reported and is found to be larger than in e^{+}e^{-} collisions. The data are compared with predictions from event generators and other phenomenological models, providing a sensitive test of the different charm-hadronization mechanisms implemented in the models.

Measurement of the Cross Sections of Ξ_{c}^{0} and Ξ_{c}^{+} Baryons and of the Branching-Fraction Ratio BR(Ξ_{c}^{0}→Ξ^{-}e^{+}ν_{e})/BR(Ξ_{c}^{0}→Ξ^{-}π^{+}) in pp Collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV. Abstract
The p_{T}-differential cross sections of prompt charm-strange baryons Ξ_{c}^{0} and Ξ_{c}^{+} were measured at midrapidity (|y|<0.5) in proton-proton (pp) collisions at a center-of-mass energy sqrt[s]=13 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC. The Ξ_{c}^{0} baryon was reconstructed via both the semileptonic decay (Ξ^{-}e^{+}ν_{e}) and the hadronic decay (Ξ^{-}π^{+}) channels. The Ξ_{c}^{+} baryon was reconstructed via the hadronic decay (Ξ^{-}π^{+}π^{+}) channel. The branching-fraction ratio BR(Ξ_{c}^{0}→Ξ^{-}e^{+}ν_{e})/BR(Ξ_{c}^{0}→Ξ^{-}π^{+})=1.38±0.14(stat)±0.22(syst) was measured with a total uncertainty reduced by a factor of about 3 with respect to the current world average reported by the Particle Data Group. The transverse momentum (p_{T}) dependence of the Ξ_{c}^{0}- and Ξ_{c}^{+}-baryon production relative to the D^{0} meson and to the Σ_{c}^{0,+,++}- and Λ_{c}^{+}-baryon production are reported. The baryon-to-meson ratio increases toward low p_{T} up to a value of approximately 0.3. The measurements are compared with various models that take different hadronization mechanisms into consideration. The results provide stringent constraints to these theoretical calculations and additional evidence that different processes are involved in charm hadronization in electron-positron (e^{+}e^{-}) and hadronic collisions.

Abstract
According to first-principle lattice QCD calculations, the transition from quark-gluon plasma to hadronic matter is a smooth crossover in the region μ_{B}≤T_{c}. In this range the ratio, C_{6}/C_{2}, of net-baryon distributions are predicted to be negative. In this Letter, we report the first measurement of the midrapidity net-proton C_{6}/C_{2} from 27, 54.4, and 200 GeV Au+Au collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The dependence on collision centrality and kinematic acceptance in (p_{T}, y) are analyzed. While for 27 and 54.4 GeV collisions the C_{6}/C_{2} values are close to zero within uncertainties, it is observed that for 200 GeV collisions, the C_{6}/C_{2} ratio becomes progressively negative from peripheral to central collisions. Transport model calculations without critical dynamics predict mostly positive values except for the most central collisions within uncertainties. These observations seem to favor a smooth crossover in the high-energy nuclear collisions at top RHIC energy.

Socioeconomic status impacts blood pressure response to positive airway pressure treatment. J Clin Sleep Med 2021; 18:1287-1295. Abstract
STUDY OBJECTIVES Positive airway pressure (PAP) treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) reduces blood pressure (BP). Retrospective data suggest that African Americans (AA), a group at high-risk for hypertensive organ dysfunction, may have a greater BP response to PAP therapy than European Americans (EA). We examined the difference in 24-hour BP response to three months of PAP treatment between AA and EA. METHODS Participants (N=259, 161 AA and 98 EA) with apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) ≥15/hour from two prospective cohorts were included. T-tests and multiple linear regression were used to examine BP outcomes in AA vs. EA, adjusting for PAP adherence, socioeconomic status (SES), and baseline characteristics. RESULTS Participants were middle-aged (mean ± standard deviation, 53.8±9.3 years), 86% (227) men, AHI 35.6±19.2/hour, and PAP adherence of 3.36±2.24 hours/day. The reductions in 24-hour systolic and diastolic BP (mm Hg) were not different in AA vs. EA (systolic=-1.13±12.1 vs. -0.61±12.8, p=0.80 and diastolic=-0.74±7.9 vs. -0.80±7.4, p=0.96), and race was not a predictor of 24-hour systolic or diastolic BP reduction (p=0.75 and 0.54). SES and PAP adherence demonstrated a significant interaction; low SES was associated with an increase in 24-hour systolic BP (β=19.3, p=0.03) in the absence of PAP use but a greater reduction in 24-hour systolic BP with higher PAP adherence (β=-3.96, p=0.03). CONCLUSIONS 24-hour BP response to PAP treatment is similar in AA and EA. Adherence to PAP treatment is more effective in improving 24-hour systolic BP in those with low SES. The study was a clinical trial. Clinical Trial Registration: NCT01960465 and NCT01578031.

Abstract
PURPOSE Thyroid ultrasound is a key tool in the evaluation of the thyroid, but billions of people around the world lack access to ultrasound imaging. In this study, we tested an asynchronous telediagnostic ultrasound system operated by individuals without prior ultrasound training which may be used to effectively evaluate the thyroid and improve access to imaging worldwide. METHODS The telediagnostic system in this study utilizes volume sweep imaging (VSI), an imaging technique in which the operator scans the target region with simple sweeps of the ultrasound probe based on external body landmarks. Sweeps are recorded and saved as video clips for later interpretation by an expert. Two operators without prior ultrasound experience underwent 8 h of training on the thyroid VSI protocol and the operation of the telemedicine platform. After training, the operators scanned patients at a health center in Lima. Telediagnostic examinations were sent to the United States for remote interpretation. Standard of care thyroid ultrasound was performed by an experienced radiologist at the time of VSI examination to serve as a reference standard. RESULTS Novice operators scanned 121 subjects with the thyroid VSI protocol. Of these exams, 88% were rated of excellent image quality showing complete or near complete thyroid visualization. There was 98.3% agreement on thyroid nodule presence between VSI teleultrasound and standard of care ultrasound (Cohen's kappa 0.91, P < 0.0001). VSI measured the thyroid size, on average, within 5 mm compared to standard of care. Readers of VSI were also able to effectively characterize thyroid nodules, and there was no significant difference in measurement of thyroid nodule size (P = 0.74) between VSI and standard of care. CONCLUSION Thyroid VSI telediagnostic ultrasound demonstrated both excellent visualization of the thyroid gland and agreement with standard of care thyroid ultrasound for nodules and thyroid size evaluation. This system could be deployed for evaluation of palpable thyroid abnormalities, nodule follow-up, and epidemiological studies to promote global health and improve the availability of diagnostic imaging in underserved communities.

Abstract
Kikuchi-Fujimoto is a rare but self-limiting disease usually affecting young ethnic females. The main clinical presentation is fever and cervical lymphadenopathy. Here we describe the cases of two patients with cervical lymphadenopathy, fever and fatigue. In addition, patients can present with neutropenia; hence, early diagnosis is crucial to exclude a malignant cause.

Abstract
It is unclear if the response to positive airway pressure (PAP) treatment is different between African American (AA) and European Americans (EA). We examined whether race modifies the effects of PAP on sleep and daytime function. We assessed Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), Functional Outcomes of Sleep Questionnaire, Psychomotor Vigilance Task and actigraphy in 185 participants with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea before and 3–4 months after PAP treatment. The participants were middle-aged (mean, 55.1 years), 83.8% men and 60.5% AA. Linear regression models were used to examine the effect of race on outcomes. The AA had smaller reductions in ESS (mean change (95% confidence interval, CI) AA, −2.30 [−3.35, −1.25] vs. EA, −4.16 [−5.48, −2.84] and frequency of awakenings (AA, −0.73 [−4.92, 3.47] vs. EA, −9.35 [−15.20, −3.51]). A race × PAP usage interaction term was added to the model to examine if the change in outcomes per 1 h increase in PAP usage differed by race. AA exhibited greater improvement in wake after sleep onset (β (95% CI) AA, −8.89 [−16.40, −1.37] vs. EA, 2.49 [−4.15, 9.12]) and frequency of awakening (β (95% CI) AA, −2.59 [−4.44, −0.75] vs. EA, 1.71 [−1.08, 4.50]). The results indicate the importance of race in evaluating outcomes following PAP treatment.

Abstract
The prompt production of the charm baryon Λ_{c}^{+} and the Λ_{c}^{+}/D^{0} production ratios were measured at midrapidity with the ALICE detector in pp and p-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02 TeV. These new measurements show a clear decrease of the Λ_{c}^{+}/D^{0} ratio with increasing transverse momentum (p_{T}) in both collision systems in the range 2<p_{T}<12 GeV/c, exhibiting similarities with the light-flavor baryon-to-meson ratios p/π and Λ/K_{S}^{0}. At low p_{T}, predictions that include additional color-reconnection mechanisms beyond the leading-color approximation, assume the existence of additional higher-mass charm-baryon states, or include hadronization via coalescence can describe the data, while predictions driven by charm-quark fragmentation processes measured in e^{+}e^{-} and e^{-}p collisions significantly underestimate the data. The results presented in this Letter provide significant evidence that the established assumption of universality (colliding-system independence) of parton-to-hadron fragmentation is not sufficient to describe charm-baryon production in hadronic collisions at LHC energies.

Abstract
This Letter presents the first experimental evidence of the attractive strong interaction between a proton and a ϕ meson. The result is obtained from two-particle correlations of combined p-ϕ⊕ p[over ¯]-ϕ pairs measured in high-multiplicity pp collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV by the ALICE Collaboration. The spin-averaged scattering length and effective range of the p-ϕ interaction are extracted from the fully corrected correlation function employing the Lednický-Lyuboshits approach. In particular, the imaginary part of the scattering length vanishes within uncertainties, indicating that inelastic processes do not play a prominent role for the p-ϕ interaction. These data demonstrate that the interaction is dominated by elastic p-ϕ scattering. Furthermore, an analysis employing phenomenological Gaussian- and Yukawa-type potentials is conducted. Under the assumption of the latter, the N-ϕ coupling constant is found to be g_{N-ϕ}=0.14±0.03(stat)±0.02(syst). This work provides valuable experimental input to accomplish a self-consistent description of the N-ϕ interaction, which is particularly relevant for the more fundamental studies on partial restoration of chiral symmetry in nuclear medium.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
The natural history of native valvular moderate aortic stenosis (AS) is poorly understood.
Purpose
To examine the prognosis of patients with native valvular moderate AS, and identify high risk-features associated with increased mortality.
Methods
Natural language processing of electronic health records in the claims-linked Optum® database (2011–2018) from over 200 hospitals and 7000 clinics in the United States identified severity of AS (mild/moderate/severe) from echocardiograms and physician notes of patients more than 65 years old. Our cohort included 30,204 patients (3594 with mild, 9938 with moderate, and 16672 with severe AS). We used competing risk Kaplan-Meier analysis to compare 5-year mortality (obtained from the Social Security Death Masterfile) between the different AS severity groups adjusted for demographics and comorbidities, censoring for aortic valve replacement. The relationship between AS severity and survival was examined during median 1049 days (interquartile range: 597 to 1652 days) of follow-up. We performed Fine-Gray modeling to examine risk factors associated with long-term mortality in patients with moderate AS.
Results
A higher proportion of comorbidities like atrial fibrillation, diabetes, and coronary artery disease were observed with increasing severity of AS (Figure 1). After adjustment, compared with mild AS (5-year mortality: 31.6%), patients with untreated moderate (5-year mortality: 40.0%, HR 1.34, 95% CI 1.25 – 1.44) and untreated severe AS (5-year mortality: 51.1%, HR 1.88, 95% CI 1.75– 2.01) have increasing risk of long-term mortality (Figure 2). Significant predictors of 5-year mortality in patients with moderate AS include older age (HR 1.38, 95% CI 1.29 –1.47), male sex (HR 1.21, 95% CI 1.15 – 1.27), heart failure (HR 1.37, 95% CI 1.29 – 1.44), coronary artery disease (HR 1.20, 95% CI 1.13 – 1.27), and atrial fibrillation (HR 1.08, 95% CI 1.02 – 1.14). In a subcohort of 5189 patients for whom left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) information was available, reduced LVEF was associated with worse long-term mortality (LVEF<40%: HR 1.17, 95% CI 1.05 –1.31; LVEF 40–50%: HR 1.08, 95% CI 0.97 –1.20).
Conclusion
Our findings suggest that moderate AS is associated with poor long-term survival with higher risk associated with LVEF <40%, and comorbidities including heart failure, coronary artery disease and atrial fibrillation. Whether patients with moderate AS, particularly with high-risk features, benefit from treatment remains unknown.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Neuro-immunological disorders encompass several disease states, including multiple sclerosis (MS), autoimmune encephalitis (AE) and myasthenia gravis (MG). These autoimmune conditions are mediated via pro-inflammatory cytokines, and there is growing evidence to suggest cardiovascular involvement within these inflammatory states. Left ventricular global longitudinal strain (LV-GLS) is proposed to be a more sensitive measure of LV systolic function when compared to standard two-dimensional measures such as LV ejection fraction (LVEF).
Purpose
The purpose of this study was to assess for subclinical cardiac dysfunction in a cohort of patients with neuro-immunological disorders and correlate this with the development of outcomes on follow-up.
Methods
Consecutive patients with MS, AE and MG admitted to our institution during 2013–2020 were assessed (n=102). Patients without pre-existing cardiovascular disease, LVEF <50% or lack of comprehensive transthoracic echocardiography during their index admission were included (n=55). This group was compared to age- and gender-matched controls (n=55) LV-GLS was measured offline using vendor-independent software (TomTec Arena, Germany v4.6) by two cardiologists blinded to the patient group or outcomes. These patients were followed for up for the composite outcome of all-cause death and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE).
Results
A total of 55 patients (31 MS, 14 AE and 10 MG) were age- and gender- matched to 55 controls. There was no significant difference in baseline demographic characteristics or cardiovascular risk factors between groups. Patients with neuro-immunological disorders demonstrated impaired LV-GLS (−17.6±3.5 vs −20.8±1.9; p<0.01) when compared to healthy controls, despite an LVEF within the normal range (60.9±7.7 vs 64.1±5.7; p=0.02) in both groups. There were a total of 9 (16.4%) outcomes during a mean follow-up of 41.0±33.0 months. LV-GLS was the only significant echocardiographic predictor of all-cause death and MACE events (p=0.013) on multi-variate analysis.
Conclusions
Our results suggest that patients with neuro-immunological disorders have subclinical LV dysfunction as assessed by LV-GLS which has prognostic capacity in this population. Further larger studies are required to further characterize this phenomenon.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
ANCA-associated Vasculitis (AAV) and inflammatory myositis (IM) are rare inflammatory autoimmune disorders mediated via pro-inflammatory cytokines and result in a systemic inflammatory state with multi-organ involvement. There is growing evidence to suggest cardiovascular involvement within these inflammatory states. Left ventricular global longitudinal strain (LV-GLS) is proposed to be a more sensitive measure of LV systolic function when compared to standard two-dimensional measures such as LV ejection fraction (LVEF).
Purpose
The purpose of this study was to assess for subclinical cardiac dysfunction in these cohorts when compared to controls.
Methods
Consecutive patients with AAV (n=56) and IM (n=68) admitted to our institution during 2013–2021 were assessed. Patients with pre-existing cardiovascular disease, significant renal impairment (eGFR <30mL/min/1.73m2), LVEF <50% or lack of comprehensive transthoracic echocardiography during admission were excluded (n=72). LV-GLS was measured offline using vendor-independent software (TomTec Arena, Germany v4.6).
Results
A total of 52 patients (22 AAV and 30 IM) were age- and gender-matched to 52 controls. In comparison of the two study populations (AAV and IM), patients with AAV had higher rates of renal impairment (p=0.02) but lower rates of interstitial lung disease when compared to IM (p=0.02). There were no differences between the two groups in terms of cardiovascular risk factors, demographics or other laboratory investigations (p>0.05 for all). In comparison to the control population, patients with AAV and IM had higher indexed LV mass and a lower TAPSE, respectively, when compared to controls. These cohorts also demonstrated impaired LV-GLS (−17.7±2.6 vs −20.6±2.4; p<0.01) when compared to healthy controls, despite no differences in LVEF (62.6±7.8 vs 61.8±5.4; p=0.56) between both groups.
Conclusions
Our results suggest that patients with autoimmune inflammatory disorders demonstrate subclinical LV dysfunction which is likely secondary to a chronic inflammatory state.

Abstract
Objective Headache is the predominant disabler in idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH). The aim was to characterise headache and investigate the association with intracranial pressure. Methods IIH:WT was a randomised controlled parallel group multicentre trial in the United Kingdom investigating weight management methods in IIH. Participants with active IIH (evidenced by papilloedema) and a body mass index (BMI) ≥35 kg/m2 were recruited. At baseline, 12 months and 24 months headache characteristics and quality of life outcome measures were collected and lumbar puncture measurements were performed. Results Sixty-six women with active IIH were included with a mean age of 32.0 years (SD ± 7.8), and mean body mass index of 43.9 ± 7.0 kg/m2. The headache phenotype was migraine-like in 90%. Headache severity correlated with ICP at baseline (r = 0.285; p = 0.024); change in headache severity and monthly headache days correlated with change in ICP at 12 months (r = 0.454, p = 0.001 and r = 0.419, p = 0.002 respectively). Cutaneous allodynia was significantly correlated with ICP at 12 months. (r = 0.479, p < 0.001). Boot strap analysis noted a positive association between ICP at 12 and 24 months and enabled prediction of both change in headache severity and monthly headache days. ICP was associated with significant improvements in quality of life (SF-36). Conclusions We demonstrate a positive relationship between ICP and headache and cutaneous allodynia, which has not been previously reported in IIH. Those with the greatest reduction in ICP over 12 months had the greatest reduction in headache frequency and severity; this was associated with improvement of quality of life measures. Trial registration This work provides Class IIa evidence of the association of raised intracranial pressure and headache. ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT02124486. Multiharmonic Correlations of Different Flow Amplitudes in Pb-Pb Collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=2.76 TeV. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2021; 127:092302. Abstract
The event-by-event correlations between three flow amplitudes are measured for the first time in Pb-Pb collisions, using higher-order symmetric cumulants. We find that different three-harmonic correlations develop during the collective evolution of the medium when compared to correlations that exist in the initial state. These new results cannot be interpreted in terms of previous lower-order flow measurements since contributions from two-harmonic correlations are explicitly removed in the new observables. A comparison to Monte Carlo simulations provides new and independent constraints for the initial conditions and system properties of nuclear matter created in heavy-ion collisions.

Abstract
Current guidelines for primary and secondary prevention of stroke in patients with carotid atherosclerosis are based on the quantification of the degree of stenosis and symptom status. Recent publications have demonstrated that plaque morphology and composition, independent of the degree of stenosis, are important in the risk stratification of carotid atherosclerotic disease. This finding raises the question as to whether current guidelines are adequate or if they should be updated with new evidence, including imaging for plaque phenotyping, risk stratification, and clinical decision-making in addition to the degree of stenosis. To further this discussion, this roadmap consensus article defines the limits of luminal imaging and highlights the current evidence supporting the role of plaque imaging. Furthermore, we identify gaps in current knowledge and suggest steps to generate high-quality evidence, to add relevant information to guidelines currently based on the quantification of stenosis.

Abstract
We discuss the atomic structure of amorphous ferromagnetic FeCoB alloys, which are used widely in spintronics applications. Specifically, we obtain the pair-distribution functions for various atomic pairs based on high-energy x-ray diffraction data taken from an amorphous Co20Fe61B19specimen. We start our reverse Monte Carlo cycles to determine the disordered structure with a two-phase model in which a small amount of cobalt is mixed with Fe23B6as a second phase. The structure of the alloy is found to be heterogeneous, where the boron atoms drive disorder through the random occupation of the atomic network. Our analysis also indicates the presence of small cobalt clusters that are embedded in the iron matrix and percolating the latter throughout the structure. This morphology can explain the enhanced spin polarization observed in amorphous magnetic materials.

Soft-Dielectron Excess in Proton-Proton Collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2021; 127:042302. Abstract
A measurement of dielectron production in proton-proton (pp) collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, recorded with the ALICE detector at the CERN LHC, is presented in this Letter. The data set was recorded with a reduced magnetic solenoid field. This enables the investigation of a kinematic domain at low dielectron (ee) invariant mass m_{ee} and pair transverse momentum p_{T,ee} that was previously inaccessible at the LHC. The cross section for dielectron production is studied as a function of m_{ee}, p_{T,ee}, and event multiplicity dN_{ch}/dη. The expected dielectron rate from hadron decays, called hadronic cocktail, utilizes a parametrization of the measured η/π^{0} ratio in pp and proton-nucleus collisions, assuming that this ratio shows no strong dependence on collision energy at low transverse momentum. Comparison of the measured dielectron yield to the hadronic cocktail at 0.15<m_{ee}<0.6 GeV/c^{2} and for p_{T,ee}<0.4 GeV/c indicates an enhancement of soft dielectrons, reminiscent of the "anomalous" soft-photon and soft-dilepton excess in hadron-hadron collisions reported by several experiments under different experimental conditions. The enhancement factor over the hadronic cocktail amounts to 1.61±0.13(stat)±0.17(syst,data)±0.34(syst,cocktail) in the ALICE acceptance. Acceptance-corrected excess spectra in m_{ee} and p_{T,ee} are extracted and compared with calculations of dielectron production from hadronic bremsstrahlung and thermal radiation within a hadronic many-body approach.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The use of rifamycin antibiotics for TB prevention carries a risk of detrimental drug-drug interactions with concomitantly used ART. OBJECTIVES To evaluate the interaction of the antiretroviral drug nevirapine in combination with 4 weeks of daily rifapentine and isoniazid for TB prevention in people living with HIV. METHODS Participants were individuals enrolled in the BRIEF-TB study receiving nevirapine and randomized to the rifapentine/isoniazid arm of the study. Participants provided sparse pharmacokinetic (PK) sampling at baseline and weeks 2 and 4 for trough nevirapine determination. Nevirapine apparent oral clearance (CL/F) was estimated and the geometric mean ratio (GMR) of CL/F prior to and during rifapentine/isoniazid was calculated. RESULTS Seventy-eight participants had evaluable PK data: 61 (78%) female, 51 (65%) black non-Hispanic and median (range) age of 40 (13-66) years. Median (IQR) nevirapine trough concentrations were: week 0, 7322 (5266-9302) ng/mL; week 2, 5537 (3552-8462) ng/mL; and week 4, 5388 (3516-8243) ng/mL. Sixty out of 78 participants (77%) had nevirapine concentrations ≥3000 ng/mL at both week 2 and 4. Median (IQR) nevirapine CL/F values were: week 0 pre-rifapentine/isoniazid, 2.03 (1.58-2.58) L/h; and during rifapentine/isoniazid, 2.62 (1.81-3.42) L/h. The GMR (90% CI) for nevirapine CL/F was 1.30 (1.26-1.33). CONCLUSIONS The CL/F of nevirapine significantly increased with concomitant rifapentine/isoniazid. The decrease in nevirapine trough concentrations during rifapentine/isoniazid therapy suggests induction of nevirapine metabolism, consistent with known rifapentine effects. The magnitude of this drug-drug interaction suggests daily rifapentine/isoniazid for TB prevention should not be co-administered with nevirapine-containing ART.

Abstract
The Lewis blood group system is unique because antigens are neither alleles of the same gene nor are they synthesized by red blood cells (RBCs); rather, they are adsorbed onto the RBC membrane from plasma as glycolipids. Antibodies against Lewis antigens are predominantly naturally occurring immunoglobulin (Ig)M type that sometimes react at 37°C and the antihuman globulin phase. Lewis compound antigens, ALeb and BLeb, have been described that were confirmed because of the presence of antibodies against them. These compound antigens are the result of an interaction between ABO, H, SE, and LE genes. Abstract
BACKGROUND Wide variation in the care practices and survival rates of neonates born at peri-viable gestational ages of 22 +0 -24 +6 weeks exists. This study elucidates the postnatal risk factors for morbidity/mortality, contrasts the care practices and short-term outcomes of this vulnerable group of preterm neonates from a single center with others. METHODS Retrospective study of neonates born at 22 +0 -24 +6 weeks in a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit in UK, over a period of 4 years (2016-2019). RESULTS 94 neonates given active care studied. Survival until discharge was 51.1%(22-23 wks -44%, 24 wks -59.1%) and survival with no major brain injury (MBI) [grade III/IV IVH, cystic periventricular leukomalacia] was 38.3%(22-23 wks -32%, 24 wks -45.4%). Of those who survived until discharge, 75%had no MBI (22-23 wks -72.7%, 24 wks -76.9%). Neonates requiring significant respiratory support within first 72 hours as well as needing rescue high frequency ventilation had significantly high risk of mortality or MBI [aOR -7.17 (2.24-25.79), p = 0.00; 4.76 (1.43-20.00), p = 0.01]. CONCLUSIONS Survival rate differed from other centres. MBI was low amongst survivors. Severe respiratory disease in the initial days was associated with a higher risk of death or MBI.
