Abstract
The misuse of antibiotics has increased the prevalence of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs), considered a class of critical environmental contaminants due to their ubiquitous and persistent nature. Previous studies reported the potentiality of bio-electro-Fenton processes for antibiotic removal and ARGs control. However, the production and fate of ARGs in bio-electro-Fenton processes triggered by microbial fuel cells are rare. In this study, the norfloxacin (NFLX) average residual concentrations within two days were 2.02, 6.07 and 14.84 mg/L, and the average removal efficiency of NFLX was 79.8 %, 69.6 % and 62.9 % at the initial antibiotic concentrations of 10, 20 and 40 mg/L, respectively. The most prevalent resistance gene type in all processes was the fluoroquinolone antibiotic gene. Furthermore, Proteobacteria was the dominant ARG-carrying bacteria. Overall, this study can provide theoretical support for the efficient treatment of high antibiotics-contained wastewater by bio-electro-Fenton systems to better control ARGs from the perspective of ecological security.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the spatiotemporal distribution of life expectancy (LE) and health-adjusted life expectancy (HALE) in Guangzhou from 2010 to 2019, and quantize the comprehensive impact of different causes and sequelae on health. Methods: The LE, HALE, and cause-excluded health adjusted life expectancy (CEHALE) were estimated using cause-of-death surveillance datasets from Guangzhou Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention from 2010 to 2019 and open data from the Global Burden of Disease Study. Joinpoint log-linear regression model was used to analyze the temporal trend and described spatial distribution. Results: In 2019, the LE in residents in Guangzhou was 82.9 years (80.1 years in men and 85.9 years in women), and the HALE was 75.6 years (74.0 years in men and 77.3 years in women). Compared with the urban fringe, the central urban area had higher LE and HALE, and the differences between LE and HALE were small. The LE and HALE in Guangzhou showed an increasing trend from 2010 to 2019. The LE increased by 2.8 years (AAPC=0.4, 95%CI: 0.3-0.4), with the increase of 2.8 years in men and 2.9 years in women. The HALE increased by 2.4 years (AAPC=0.3, 95%CI: 0.3-0.4), with the increase of 2.5 years in men and 2.2 years in women. The median healthy life lost due to communicable, maternal, neonatal, and nutritional diseases was 6.2 years (AAPC=-4.2, 95%CI: -5.3--3.1), while the median healthy life lost due to non-communicable diseases was 14.7 years (AAPC=1.6, 95%CI: 0.9-2.3), the median healthy life expectancy reduced by injury was 6.3 years (AAPC=-3.5, 95%CI: -4.5--2.6). Musculoskeletal disorders, skin and subcutaneous diseases, cardiovascular diseases, nutritional deficiencies, diabetes and kidney diseases were the top five diseases causing healthy life expectancy loss. Conclusion: The LE and HALE in residents in Guangzhou increased steadily from 2010 to 2019, but the quality of life in the urban fringe was lower than that of the central urban area. Non-communicable diseases were the leading causes of healthy life expectancy loss. Health policies and prevention measures should be developed according to area specific characteristics, and social medical resources should be rationally allocated to key diseases to reduce their disease burden.

Abstract
Objective: Propionic acidemia is a rare inherited metabolic disorder caused by propionyl CoA carboxylase (PCC) deficiency. This study aims to analyze the clinical characteristics and gene variations of Chinese patients with propionic acidemia, and to explore the correlation between clinical phenotypes and genotypes. Methods: Single-center, retrospective and observational study. Seventy-eight patients of propionic acidemia (46 males and 32 females) from 20 provinces and autonomous regions were admitted from January 2007 to April 2022. Their age of initial diagnosis ranged from 7 days to 15 years. The clinical manifestations, biochemical and metabolic abnormalities, genetic variations, diagnosis, treatment and outcome were studied. Chi-Square test or Mann-Whitney U test were used for statistical analysis. Results: Among 78 cases, 6 (7.7%) were identified by newborn screening; 72 (92.3%) were clinically diagnosed after onset, and the age of onset was 2 hours after birth to 15 years old; 32 cases had early-onset disease and 40 cases had late-onset disease. The initial manifestations included lethargy, hypotonia, vomiting, feeding difficulties, developmental delay, epilepsy, and coma. Among the 74 cases who accepted gene analysis, 35 (47.3%) had PCCA variants and 39 (52.7%) had PCCB variants. A total of 39 PCCA variants and 32 PCCB variants were detected, among which c.2002G>A and c.229C>T in PCCA and c.838dupC and c.1087T>C in PCCB were the most common variants in this cohort. The variants c.1228C>T and c.1283C>T in PCCB may be related to early-onset type. The variants c.838dupC, c.1127G>T and c.1316A>G in PCCB, and c.2002G>A in PCCA may be related to late-onset disease. Six patients detected by newborn screening and treated at asymptomatic stage developed normal. The clinically diagnosed 72 cases had varied complications. 10 (12.8%) cases of them died. 62 patients improved after metabolic therapy by L-carnitine and diet. Six patients received liver transplantation because of recurrent metabolic crisis. Their clinical symptoms were markedly improved. Conclusion: The clinical manifestations of propionic acidemia are complex and lack of specificity. Newborn screening and high-risk screening are keys for early treatment and better outcome. The correlation between the genotype and phenotype of propionic acidemia is unclear, but certain variants may be associated with early-onset or late-onset propionic acidemia.

Abstract
Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) have a high incidence and mortality rate, and investigating the pathogenesis and potential therapeutic strategies of HNSCC is required for further progress. Immunotherapy is a considerable therapeutic strategy for HNSCC due to its potential to produce a broad and long-lasting antitumor response. However, immune escape, which involves mechanisms including dyregulation of cytokines, perturbation of immune checkpoints, and recruitment of inhibitory cell populations, limit the efficacy of immunotherapy. Currently, multiple immunotherapy strategies for HNSCC have been exploited, including immune checkpoint inhibitors, costimulatory agonists, antigenic vaccines, oncolytic virus therapy, adoptive T cell transfer (ACT), and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-targeted therapy. Each of these strategies has unique advantages, and the appropriate application of these immunotherapies in HNSCC treatment has significant value for patients. Therefore, this review comprehensively summarizes the mechanisms of immune escape and the characteristics of different immunotherapy strategies in HNSCC to provide a foundation and consideration for the clinical treatment of HNSCC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The complexity and refractory of brain glioma requires treatment that should involve a multidisciplinary approach to improve quality of care and fulfill patients’ needs.
AIM To explore the effects of comprehensive nursing on postoperative complications, psychological state and quality of life in patients with brain glioma.
METHODS A total of 106 patients with confirmed brain gliomas admitted to Nanchong Central Hospital between January 2019 and May 2021 were selected by random sampling. They were categorized into an observation group and a control group using a random number table with 53 patients in each group. Patients in the observation group were given comprehensive nursing in addition to conventional nursing and patients in the control group were given conventional nursing. The overall incidence of postoperative complications including limb dysfunction, high fever and epilepsy was compared between the two groups. The mental status was evaluated in the two groups before and after intervention using self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS). Quality of life was assessed and compared using the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire between the two groups before and after the intervention.
RESULTS After intervention, the overall incidence of postoperative complications was significantly lower in the observation group (7.55%) than that in the control group (20.75%) (P < 0.05). Before intervention, there was no significant difference in SAS and SDS scores between the two groups (P > 0.05). However, after intervention, scores of SAS and SDS decreased in the two groups compared with those before intervention, and the scores of SAS and SDS were lower in the observation group than in the control group (all P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in quality of life between the two groups before the intervention (P > 0.05). In contrast, quality of life increased in the two groups compared with those before intervention, and it was higher in the observation group than in the control group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION Comprehensive nursing can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, improve the psychological state of anxiety and depression and improve quality of life in patients with brain glioma.

Abstract
To achieve sustainable metal-free electron-Fenton, N self-doped biochar air-cathode (BCAC) was prepared by pyrolyzing coffee residues. During the pyrolysis process, the endogenous N transformed from edge-doping to graphite-doping. Particularly, N vacancies started to evolve when the peak temperature exceeded 700 °C. A high Tetracycline removal rate of 70.42% was obtained on the BCAC at the current density of 4 mA cm-2. Quenching tests incorporated with ESR spectroscopy were adopted to identify the specific oxidants produced on the cathode. The results showed that •OH (37.36%), •O2- (29.67%) and 1O2 (24.17%) played comparable role in the tetracycline removal, suggesting the coexist of radical and non-radical oxidants in our electro-Fenton system. According to the structure characterization and the DFT calculation, graphitic N was suggested as the critical site for H2O2 generation, and both graphitic N and pyridinic N were electroactive sites for H2O2 activation to •OH. Graphitic N and N vacancies with stronger capabilities in O2 adsorption and electron-trapping were proposed as the electroactive sites for 1O2 and •O2- formation. This work predicts a novel electro-Fenton process with cooperative radical and non-radical degradation on N self-doped carbonaceous catalysts at a mild condition, which is extremely meaningful for boosting sustainable electro-Fenton technology.

Abstract
Background For patients who treated with tacrolimus after kidney transplant, therapeutic drug monitoring is essential to improve their prognosis. However, previous detection methods have limitations, such as the overestimation and unacceptable bias in the immunoassays. Precision medicine has been challenged. The liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method is recognized as the gold standard due to its accuracy and specificity, but lack of throughput and complex process limits its clinical application. Therefore, an accurate, simple and high throughput method for tacrolimus monitoring is needed for clinical practice. Methods A modified LC-MS/MS method was introduced and validated. Whole blood samples were prepared by a one-step protein precipitation method. Chromatographic separation was achieved using a Phenomenex Kinetex 2.6 μm XB-C18 2.1 × 50 mm column with a total run time of 3.5 min to avoid matrix effect. An electrospray ionization source (ESI) was used in positive ion multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode for mass spectrometric detection. In order to protect the mass spectrometer, only part of the sample after LC separation was allowed to enter the mass spectrum, through a two HPLC systems coupled one mass spectrometry design. In this way, the instrument throughput is also improved and realizing the detection of 2 samples within 3.5 min and carried out a shorter analyzing time for each sample of 1.75 min. Additionally, we calculated tacrolimus-intrapatient variant (Tac-IPV) based on this modified method and assessed the prognostic value of Tac-IPV in Chinese kidney transplant patients. Results The LC-MS/MS was modified by streamlining the procedure and increasing the throughput. The method proved to be accurate and reproducible with all performance parameters suitably meeting the clinical requirements over a calibration ranged from 0.37 to 42.90 ng/mL. Parameters such as linearity, limit of quantification (LoQ) and dilution integrity were validated with a clinical reportable range from 0.37 to 343.20 ng/mL, which was particularly useful for high drug concentrations patients (rare but very serious). Both cross-contamination and matrix effects were negligible. Clinical data of 83 patients showed that Tac-IPV was associated with poor kidney transplant outcome in Chinese (Hazard Ratio (HR) = 3.96, 4.75; 95% Cl: 1.10–14.21, 1.23–18.36; P < 0.05). Conclusions This modified LC-MS/MS method possessed high throughput and simple sample preparation, allowing it to meet daily clinical needs. At the same time, Tac-IPV based on this modified LC-MS/MS had excellent prognostic value in kidney transplantation. These advantages have great significance for the individualized treatment of Chinese kidney transplant patients and broad application of Tac-IPV.

Abstract
Nanovaccine-based immunotherapy (NBI) has the ability to initiate dendritic cell (DC)-mediated tumor-specific immune responses and maintain long-term antitumor immune memory. To date, the mechanism by which the mechanical properties of nanoparticles alter the functions of DCs in NBI remains largely unclear. Here, a soft mesoporous organosilica-based nanovaccine (SMONV) is prepared and the elasticity-dependent effect of the nanovaccine on the underlying DC-mediated immune responses is studied. It is found that the elasticity results in greater internalization of SMONV by DCs, followed by the induction of substantial cytosolic delivery of antigens via endosomal escape, leading to effective DC maturation and antigen cross-presentation. Impressively, elasticity enables SMONV to enhance lymphatic drainage of antigens in vivo, thus stimulating robust humoral and cellular immunity. The results from therapeutic tumor vaccination further reveal that subcutaneously administered SMONV effectively suppresses tumor growth in tumor-bearing mice by evoking antigen-specific CD8+ T-cell immune responses, mitigating regulatory T-cell-mediated immunosuppression, and increasing central memory and effector memory T-cell populations. Furthermore, combinatorial immunization with SMONV and anti-PD-L1 blocking antibodies results in an amplified therapeutic effect on tumor-bearing mice. These findings reveal the elastic effect of the nanovaccine on DC-mediated immune responses, and the prepared SMONV represents a facile and powerful strategy for antitumor immunotherapy.

Abstract
Tumor embolization therapy has attracted great attention due to its high efficiency in inhibiting tumor growth by cutting off tumor nutrition and oxygen supply by the embolic agent. Although transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) is the mainstream technique in the clinic, there are still some limitations to be considered, especially the existence of high risks and complications. Recently, nanomaterials have drawn wide attention in disease diagnosis, drug delivery, and new types of therapies, such as photothermal therapy and photodynamic therapy, owing to their unique optical, thermal, convertible and in vivo transport properties. Furthermore, the utilization of nanoplatforms in tumor non-interventional embolization therapy has attracted the attention of researchers. Herein, the recent advances in this area are summarized in this review, which revealed three different types of nanoparticle strategies: (1) nanoparticles with active targeting effects or stimuli responsiveness (ultrasound and photothermal) for the safe delivery and responsive release of thrombin; (2) tumor microenvironment (copper and phosphate, acidity and GSH/H2O2)-responsive nanoparticles for embolization therapy with high specificity; and (3) peptide-based nanoparticles with mimic functions and excellent biocompatibility for tumor embolization therapy. The benefits and limitations of each kind of nanoparticle in tumor non-interventional embolization therapy will be highlighted. Investigations of nanoplatforms are undoubtedly of great significance, and some advanced nanoplatform systems have arrived at a new height and show potential applications in practical applications.

Abstract
Traditional antibiotic treatment has limited efficacy for the drug-tolerant bacteria present in biofilms because of their unique metabolic conditions in the biofilm infection microenvironment. Modulating the biofilm infection microenvironment may influence the metabolic state of the bacteria and provide alternative therapeutic routes. In this study, photodynamic therapy is used not only to eradicate methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus biofilms in the normoxic condition, but also to potentiate the hypoxic microenvironment, which induces the anaerobic metabolism of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and activates the antibacterial activity of metronidazole. Moreover, the photodynamic therapy-activated chemotherapy can polarize the macrophages to a M2-like phenotype and promote the repair of the biofilm infected wounds in mice. This biofilm infection microenvironment modulation strategy, whereby the hypoxic microenvironment is potentiated to synergize photodynamic therapy with chemotherapy, provides an alternative pathway for efficient treatment of biofilm-associated infections. Bacteria in biofilms present unique metabolic conditions that limit the traditional antibiotic treatment. Here, the authors show a photodynamic therapy-activated chemotherapy potentiating the hypoxia of biofilms of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, by developing hyaluronic acid nanoparticles functionalized with chlorin e6 and metronidazole.

Abstract
Background Bacterial biofilm-related wound infections threaten human health due to the lack of efficient treatments. Therefore, developing a novel strategy for wound infection care is urgently needed. Methods Cube-shaped Cu2WS4 nanocrystals (CWSNs) were successfully prepared via a microwave-assisted method. CWSNs, as photocatalysts, were first studied by using fluorescence spectroscopy for their ability to generate reactive oxygen species (ROS). The antibacterial and biofilm inhibition abilities of CWSNs were determined in vitro by using Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) as the model bacterium. Moreover, a CWSN gel was prepared and applied to treat S. aureus-infected wounds in mice. The toxicity of the CWSNs was evaluated through in vitro cell and in vivo animal experiments. Results Studies on the properties of the CWSNs demonstrated that these nanomaterials can catalyze the generation of hydroxyl radicals (•OH) without the addition of H2O2 after visible-light irradiation, indicating their photocatalytic ability. Moreover, the in vitro experimental results showed that the CWSNs not only adhered to the surfaces of S. aureus to kill the bacteria, but also inhibited S. aureus biofilm formation. The in vivo study showed that the CWSN gel produced excellent antibacterial effects against S. aureus infected wounds in mice and effectively promoted wound healing. Furthermore, toxicity tests showed that the CWSNs have negligible toxicity in vitro and in vivo. Conclusion This work provides a potential photocatalytic antibacterial nanoagent for efficient bacterial killing, inhibition of biofilms growth and wound infection treatment.

Abstract
To study the compressive mechanical properties and failure modes of TC11 titanium alloy fabricated by wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) technology in a large strain rate range at room temperature, the quasi-static and dynamic compression tests were carried out. In addition, optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were employed to observe the metallographic structure and fracture morphology, respectively. The stress-strain curves in the range of 0.001 s-1-4000 s-1, original and post-deformation microstructures, macroscopic damage patterns, and microscopic fracture morphology were obtained at two different loading directions, including the scanning and deposition directions, respectively. In uniaxial compression experiments, the material showed little difference in mechanical properties between the scanning and deposition directions, exhibiting a strain rate strengthening effect. However, the strain rate sensitivity of the material under quasi-static loading conditions is much less than that under dynamic loading conditions. In addition, combining the stress-strain curve with the fracture morphology analysis, the plasticity in the scanning direction is better than in the deposition direction. Based on the experimental results, a modified Johnson-Cook (JC) constitutive model considering strain rate sensitivity and the effect of strain rate on strain hardening was proposed, and the parameters were determined using a Multiple Population Genetic Algorithm (MPGA). The obtained constitutive model is in good agreement with the experimental data, which can provide a reference for the engineering numerical calculation of TC11 titanium alloy for WAAM. This study also provides a fundamental databank for the application and design of WAAM TC11 alloy in the manufacturing of large and complex structural parts.

Abstract
Pesticide overuse has posed a threat to agricultural community as well as aquatic animals. Heterogeneous electro-Fenton (HEF) processes have received considerable attention for aqueous contaminants removal, and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) serve as promising templates for fabrication of carbon-based HEF catalysts with low Fe leaching and enhanced stability. Herein, multimetallic MOF-derived HEF catalysts CMOFs@PCM have been demonstrated as efficient and stable HEF catalysts for aqueous pesticide degradation and mineralization. The porous carbon monolith (PCM) substrate effectively catalyzed 2-electron oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) over the pH range of 4-10 to in situ generate H2O2, which was then activated by the anchored Fe3O4, Fe3C and NiO into OH for pesticide degradation. Fe8Al7Ni5-CMOF@PCM achieved over 90% napropamide degradation within 60 min in the pH range of 4-10, and 96% degradation at neutral condition, 39% higher than monometallic CMIL-88(Fe)@PCM. Meanwhile, the embedded NiO and γ-Al2O3 showed synergistic effect in promoting the catalytic activity of Fe sites, resulting in substantially enhanced performance of trimetallic FexAlyNiz-CMOF@PCM compared to the monometallic counterparts. On the other hand, the unique core-shell structure and Fe3C interlayer formed by co-pyrolyzing Fe-containing MOFs-NH2 with PCM greatly minimized the metal leaching and enhanced the stability of the electrocatalysts.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate Chinese physicians' perception and attitudes toward menopausal hormone therapy (MHT). METHODS This nationwide online survey was conducted in China. Physicians registered in the WeChat groups of the Gynecological Endocrinology Committee of China's Maternal and Child Health Care Association received a message invitation to complete this anonymous online survey from April 2020 to July 2020. Physicians' knowledge of and attitudes toward MHT were surveyed. RESULTS In total, 4672 questionnaires were submitted; only completed questionnaires could be submitted. The message was sent to 6021 doctors, so the response rate was 77.6%. Overall, 77.9-92.9% of physicians knew the common indications and contraindications to MHT. Additionally, 90.6%, 85.4%, 80.7% and 37.5% of physicians thought that MHT would increase the risk of venous thrombosis, breast cancer, endometrial cancer and weight gain, respectively. In total, 58.1% of the physicians mistakenly believed that a sex hormone test was one of the necessary examinations to reassess MHT prescription during follow-up visits. We found that 68.5% of physicians would consider using MHT themselves or recommend MHT to their partners in the future, and 11.4% were currently using MHT. CONCLUSIONS Most Chinese physicians have basic knowledge of MHT. Their misunderstandings about MHT mainly centered on the risks of endometrial cancer, weight gain and the necessary examinations during follow-up visits. These misunderstandings need to be clarified in future professional training programs.

Abstract
The addition of carbonaceous materials into anaerobic digestion (AD) has gained widespread attention due to their significant effects on anaerobic performance and antibiotic resistance gene (ARG) removal. This study selected graphite, graphene, and graphene oxide (GO) as additives to investigate variations in AD performance, ARG removal, microbial community diversity and structure in wet AD systems. The results indicated that the addition of graphite-based materials in wet AD systems could increase degradation of solid organic matters by 0.91%-3.41% and utilization of soluble organic fractions by 10.43%-13.67%, but could not stimulate methane production. After the addition of graphite and graphene, ARG removal rates were effectively increased to 90.85% and 94.22%, respectively. However, the total ARG removal rate was reduced to 77.46% with the addition of GO. In addition, the microbial diversity in the wet AD process was enhanced with the addition of GO only, graphite and graphene led to a reduction in it. As for bacterial community, graphite and graphene increased the abundance of Thermotogae from 43.43% to 57.42% and 58.74%, while GO increased the abundance of Firmicute from 49.90% to 56.27%. For the archaeal community, the proportion of hydrogenotrophic methanogens was improved when adding each graphite-based material; however, only GO increased Methanosaeta that was acetoclastic methanogens. Finally, methanogens were found as the ARG host, and ARGs that belong to the same subtype might exist in the same host bacteria.

Abstract
The damage of sweat glands in patients with extensive deep burns results in the loss of thermoregulation, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. At present, there are many researches on the repair of sweat gland function, but the mechanism of human sweat gland development has not been fully clarified. More and more studies have shown that the cascaded pathways of Wnt/β-catenin, ecto- dysplasin A/ectodysplasin A receptor/nuclear factor-κB, sonic hedgehog, and forkhead box transcription factor jointly affect the development of sweat glands, and it has been reported that the cascaded signaling pathways can be used to achieve the reconstruction of sweat adenoid cells in vitro. This article reviews the signaling pathways that affect the development of sweat glands and their involvement in the reconstruction of sweat adenoid cells in vitro.

Abstract
Microbial infection accounts for many dental diseases and treatment failure. Therefore, the antibacterial properties of dental biomaterials are of great importance to the long-term results of treatment. Silver-based biomaterials (AgBMs) have been widely researched as antimicrobial materials with high efficiency and relatively low toxicity. AgBMs have a broad spectrum of antimicrobial properties, including penetration of microbial cell membranes, damage to genetic material, contact killing, and dysfunction of bacterial proteins and enzymes. In particular, advances in nanotechnology have improved the application value of AgBMs. Hence, in many subspecialties of dentistry, AgBMs have been researched and employed, such as caries arresting or prevention, root canal sterilization, periodontal plaque inhibition, additives in dentures, coating of implants and anti-inflammatory material in oral and maxillofacial surgery. This paper aims to provide an overview of the application approaches of AgBMs in dentistry and present better guidance for oral antimicrobial therapy via the development of AgBMs.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To investigate the bacterial diversity in peri-implant plaques and the effect of periodontitis history on the occurrence of peri-implant mucositis. MATERIALS AND METHODS Three groups of subgingival plaques were collected from peri-implant sulci in the first molar area. The three groups included healthy implants in patients without periodontitis (NH implant), healthy implants in patients with periodontitis history (PH implant), and peri-implant mucositis implants in patients with periodontitis history (PM implant). Subgingival plaques in periodontal pockets of contralateral natural first molars were also collected. Bacterial DNA was extracted and the V4 region of the 16S rDNA sequence was amplified and sequenced on an Illumina HiSeq platform. The operational taxonomic units obtained from amplicon sequencing were used to analyze the prevalence and identity of bacteria based on public databases and advanced techniques. RESULTS Analysis of similarities indicated a significant difference in bacterial structures between the NH implant and PM implant groups. Additionally, a significantly higher relative abundance of the genera Actinomyces and Streptococcus was found in the samples of the NH implant group. The genera Fusobacterium and Prevotella could be considered as potential biomarkers for peri-implant mucositis. Moreover, more gram-negative anaerobic bacteria (Porphyromonas and Prevotella) were detected in the samples from patients with periodontitis history. CONCLUSIONS The increased accumulation of Fusobacterium and Prevotella is associated with a higher risk of peri-implant mucositis. In addition, patients with periodontal history may be more likely to develop peri-implant mucositis. CLINICAL RELEVANCE The increase in periodontal pathogens and the decrease in health-associated bacteria in patients with periodontitis history may be more likely to develop peri-implant mucositis. These results provide a bacteriological basis for the prevention and treatment of peri-implant mucositis in patients with periodontitis history.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the epidemiological characteristics of three local COVID-19 epidemics in Guangzhou and provide reference for optimizing strategies and measures of COVID-19 prevention and control. Methods: The data of local COVID-19 cases in Guangzhou reported as of June 18, 2021 were collected from National Notifiable Disease Report System of China. The software Excel 2019 and SPSS 22.0 were applied for data cleaning and statistical analysis. Results: A total of 726 COVID-19 cases were reported in the three local epidemics in Guangzhou. In the epidemic associated with the outbreak of COVID-19 in Hubei province, 366 cases were reported. Most cases were female (51.6%, 189/366), aged 18-65 years (81.4%, 298/366), jobless/unemployed (32.2%, 118/366) and retired persons (20.2%,74/366). The initial symptoms of most cases were fever (71.6%, 250/349) and cough (60.7%, 212/349). In the epidemic associated with the imported COVID-19 cases from Africa, 207 cases were reported. Most cases were aged 18-40 years (72.9%, 151/207), male (69.6%, 144/207), and engaged in commercial services (62.3%,129/207). The initial symptoms of most cases were no obvious discomfort (55.6%, 15/27) and cough (37.0%, 10/27). In the epidemic associated with Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, 153 cases were reported, in which women accounted for 58.8% (90/153), most cases were over 41 years old (64.7%,99/153), and retired persons accounted for the highest proportion (32.0%,49/153). The initial symptoms of most cases were cough (32.9%, 48/146) and no obvious discomfort (28.1%, 41/146). The household secondary attack rates of the three local epidemics were 11.2%, 5.7% and 11.5%, respectively. The median (P25, P75) of incubation periods were 6.5 (4.0,10.8) d, 4.0 (2.5, 6.0) d and 4.0 (3.0,5.0) d. The serial intervals median (P25, P75) were 4.0 (3.0, 8.0) d, 4.0 (2.5, 6.0) d and 3.0 (2.0,5.0) d. There were significant differences in gender, age, occupation, initial symptoms, household secondary attack rate and incubation period among the three local COVID-19 epidemics (all P<0.05). In the proportion of the case finding way, passive detection in patient treatment were mainly 44.3%(162/366) in the epidemic associated with the outbreak of COVID-19 in Hubei province, but active community case screening [58.5% (121/207) and 27.5% (24/153)] and close contact management in imported case were mostly [33.3% (69/207) and 67.3% (103/153)] in the epidemic associated with the imported COVID-19 cases from Africa and with Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2, respectively. Conclusions: Due to the different sources of infection, strain types and prevention and control strategies, the epidemiological characteristics of the three local COVID-19 epidemics in Guangzhou differed in demographics, clinical symptoms, transmission routes and case finding, which suggested that it is necessary to improve the key population and common symptom monitoring in the routine prevention and control of COVID-19 to prevent the reemerge of the epidemic.
