Abstract
Objective: To analyze the situation of influenza vaccination among primary healthcare workers, find out the problems, and explore the strategies and measures to promote influenza vaccination among grass-roots medical staff. Methods: From April to May 2021, key insider interviews and literature research were carried out based on the perspectives of influenza vaccine suppliers (influenza vaccine manufacturers), consumers (primary medical institutions and primary healthcare workers), and managers (governments at all levels, health administrative departments and disease prevention and control departments). The SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis technique was used to comprehensively evaluate the current situation of influenza vaccination among grass-roots healthcare workers, and a SWOT analysis matrix was established. Results: Influenza vaccination of grass-roots healthcare workers have advantages and opportunities, including primary medical and health institutions' vital influenza vaccination accessibility, influenza vaccine safety is higher, COVID-19 outbreak improves the public awareness of respiratory infectious diseases and vaccine production enthusiasm, coronavirus vaccination has strengthened the capacity of the vaccine distribution system. There are also disadvantages and threats such as the high price of influenza vaccine, insufficient supply, low awareness of influenza vaccine vaccination among grass-roots healthcare workers, lack of demand assessment mechanism on influenza vaccine, poor vaccine deployment, structural imbalance in vaccine supply in different areas, and severe vaccine waste. SWOT analysis matrix of the influenza vaccination status of grass-roots healthcare workers was established, forming dominant opportunity (SO) strategy, dominant threat (ST) strategy, inferior opportunity (WO) strategy, and inferior threat (WT) strategy. Conclusion: Measures should be taken by the supplier, the demand-side, and the management side to improve the influenza vaccine coverage rate of primary healthcare workers, but the emphasis should be on the coordination and management of the management side.

Abstract
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES To examine the serial mediating effect of executive function and attentional bias in the relationship between frailty and depressive symptoms. BACKGROUND Although the role of frailty in predicting depression has been well documented, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. DESIGN A cross-sectional study was conducted with 667 older inpatients aged 60-90 years in the internal medicine wards of a hospital in China. METHODS Attentional bias, frailty and depressive symptoms were assessed using the Attention to Positive and Negative Information Scale, the Physical Frailty Phenotype and the 5-item Geriatric Depression Scale. Executive function was measured using 3 tests, including digital backward, category Verbal Fluency Test and Trail Making Test. The study followed the STROBE guideline. RESULTS The latent profile analysis (LPA) identified four patterns of attentional bias, namely "no positive bias & no negative bias" (class 1, 9.3%), "minor positive bias & no negative bias" (class 2, 48.0%), "major positive bias & minor negative bias" (class 3, 25.6%) and "major positive bias & no negative bias" (class 4, 17.1%). Regression analysis found that frailty was associated with depressive symptoms. Frailty was also negatively associated with executive function, which was a protective factor for attentional bias class 1, 2 and 3 with reference to class 4. Attentional bias class 1 and 2 but not class 3 was associated with depressive symptoms with reference to class 4. The joint significance test confirmed executive function and attentional bias as serial mediators linking frailty to depressive symptoms. DISCUSSION Unlike robust older adults who have the age-related positivity effect, frail older adults have attentional bias deficits due to executive dysfunction, and consequently experience clinically relevant depressive symptoms. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE Healthcare providers should take executive function training and attentional bias regulation into consideration to reduce the detrimental effects of frailty on emotional well-being.

Abstract
Several studies have reported that dietary fibers (DFs) from plants may exert beneficial effects on inflammatory bowel disease. In the present study, we investigated the structural differences of soluble DF (inulin) and insoluble DF (microcrystalline cellulose, MCC) and their effects on the intestinal barrier integrity, gut microbiota community, and inflammation response in mice with dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced colitis. Mice were fed for 21 days with diets containing inulin or MCC (2.5 g/kg body weight), and colitis was induced by administration of DSS (4% w/v) in drinking water during the last 8 days of experimentation. The results showed that inulin and MCC differ in morphology and structure. MCC exhibited a smaller particle size, a larger specific surface area, and higher thermal stability than inulin. In addition, both inulin and MCC restored various physical signs (body weight, colon weight and length, disease activity index score, and infiltration of inflammatory cells), gut barrier function (as evidenced by the increased expression of claudin-3, claudin-7, ZO-2, occludin, JAM-2, and MUC-3 and the decreased activity of myeloperoxidase activity), downregulation of mRNA expression of proinflammatory cytokines (caspase-1, NLPR3, TLR4, TNF-α, and IL-1β), and modulation of colon microbiota community. Taken together, the present study demonstrates that DFs differ in morphology and structure and ameliorate DSS-induced colitis in mice by blocking proinflammatory cytokines, reinforcing gut barrier integrity, and modulating gut microbiota. Therefore, DFs, especially inulin, are promising dietary supplements to alleviate intestinal inflammation.

Abstract
Clinically, patients with tuberculosis (TB) combined with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection often require simultaneous treatment. Consequently, when anti-HCV and TB drugs are used in combination drug-drug interactions (DDIs), anti-TB drug-induced hepatotoxicity, and liver disease states need to be considered. This paper focuses on discussing the metabolic mechanisms of commonly used anti-TB and HCV drugs and the selection options of combined drugs, so as to provide rational drug use for TB patients combined with HCV infection.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish the predicted value of pulmonary function determined by impulse oscillometry (IOS) in children (4-17 years old) in China. METHODS A total of 6270 healthy children aged 4-17 years in China were included. The Master Screen IOS pulmonary function device (Jaeger Co, Germany) was used to detect the respiratory impedance (Zrs), resonant frequency (Fres), respiratory system resistance (Rrs) and respiratory system reactance (Xrs) at various oscillation frequencies, and the indices above were analysed. Stepwise multivariate regression was used to establish the regression equation of related parameters of IOS in different sexes, ages, height, and weight. RESULTS The differences in the main IOS parameters between different age stages were statistically significant regardless of sex (P < 0.05). The stepwise multivariate regression analysis showed that IOS parameters were related to height, age, and weight, and most IOS parameters were most closely related to height (the absolute value of the regression coefficient was the largest). With increasing age and height, the values of Z5, R5, R20, R5-R20, and Fres decreased, while the value of X5 increased. Through height, age, and weight, we obtained the normal predicted values equation of children's IOS parameters. Compared with the other reference equations, our reference equation is more suitable for Chinese children. CONCLUSIONS The study revealed the reference values of IOS parameters in healthy Chinese children. In the evaluation of results for lung function measurements, this predicted value equation is more consistent with the characteristics of Chinese children than other reference equations. Abstract
Reduced dimension is one of the effective strategies to modulate thermoelectric properties. In this work, n-type PbSe/SnSe superlattices with quantum-well (QW) structure are fabricated by pulsed laser deposition. Here, it is demonstrated that the PbSe/SnSe multiple QW (MQW) shows a high power factor of ≈25.7 µW cm-1 K-2 at 300 K, four times larger than that of PbSe single layers. In addition, thermal conductivity falls below 0.32 ± 0.06 W m-1 K-1 due to the phonon scattering at interface when the PbSe well thickness is confined within the scale of phonon mean free path (1.8 nm). Featured with ultrahigh power factor and ultralow thermal conductivity, ZT at room temperature is significantly increased from 0.14 for PbSe single layer to 1.6 for PbSe/SnSe MQW.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Frailty is common among older medical inpatients and has been found to be an independent risk factor for depression. However, few studies have explored the underlying mechanisms of the frailty-depression relationship. The present study was aimed to examine emotional regulation strategies as mediators in the frailty-depression relationship based on the process model of emotional regulation. METHODS Older medical inpatients (N=684) completed questionnaires and tests on frailty, emotional regulation strategies, and depressive symptoms. RESULTS Structural equation models showed that expressive suppression and rumination, but not cognitive reappraisal, mediated the relationship between frailty and depressive symptoms (RMSEA = 0.059, CFI = 0.963, TLI = 0.957). CONCLUSIONS Frail older medical inpatients habitually use expressive suppression and rumination in their daily lives, which may lead to more psychological disturbance. Interventions targeting expressive suppression and rumination might be effective in reducing the detrimental effect of frailty on psychological well-being among older medical inpatients.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSC) on the steroid resistance of human airway epithelial cells. Methods: Ovalbumin (OVA)/lipopolysaccharide (LPS) were used to construct steroid resistant BEAS-2B cells, which were then co-cultured with MSC. Groups were set as follows: blank group, model group, Glucocorticoid group, MSC group, MSC+Glucocorticoid group (MSC+bud group). The expression of interleukin (IL)-8 in the cell supernatant was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA); the expression of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the cells was detected by flow cytometry; the expression of glucocorticoid receptor α (GRα) and histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) protein in the cell was detected by Western blotting; and the expression of GRα and HDAC2 mRNA was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR). Results: The expression level of IL-8 in the MSC group was significantly lower than that in the Glucocorticoid group (31.7±0.7 vs. 49.8±3.6, P<0.01). The expression of ROS in the MSC group was significantly lower than that in the Glucocorticoid group (2754±154 vs.4624±228, P<0.05). The expression level of HDAC2 mRNA in the MSC group was significantly higher than that in the Glucocorticoid group(1.749±0.005 vs. 1.283±0.098, P<0.05). The expression level of GRα mRNA in the MSC group was significantly higher than that in the Glucocorticoid group (1.623±0.079 vs.1.047±0.220, P<0.01). The expression of HDAC2 protein in the MSC group was significantly higher than that in the Glucocorticoid group (1.067±0.100 vs. 0.620±0.083, P<0.01). The expression of GRα protein in the MSC group was significantly higher than that in the Glucocorticoid group (0.834±0.053 vs. 0.579±0.017, P<0.01). ROS was positively correlated with the IL-8 expression (r=0.796, P<0.01) and negatively correlated with the HDAC2 and GRα mRNA expression (r=-0.893 3, P<0.01; r=0.931 4, P<0.01, respectively), as well as the HDAC2 and GRα Protein expression (r=-0.929 5, P<0.01;r=-0.864 3, P<0.01, respectively). Conclusions: Human MSC can improve steroid resistance of airway epithelial cells in an exocrine manner. The mechanism may be related to the down-regulation of ROS and up-regulation of HDAC2, which lead to GRα overexpression. In addition, MSC may improve the steroid resistance by reducing the expression of IL-8.

Abstract
Introduction The best approach to preventing the importation of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is enhancing the detection capacity at customs. The rapid detection is of utmost importance and therefore highly demanded. Methods We conducted a field validation study of a duplex real-time reverse transcription recombinase-aided amplification (RT-RAA) assay in Zhoushan and Hangzhou customs, in Zhejiang Province, China. The reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay kit routinely used at customs was used in parallel, and the duration the two methods took to complete a specific number of samples was compared. Results Among 506 samples collected, RT-RAA results were consistent with the RT-PCR results. The sensitivity and specificity were 100%, the total coincidence rate was 100%, and the Kappa value was 1 (P<0.05) for both methods. The RT-RAA kit took a significantly shorter time in testing the 20-200 samples than the RT-PCR kit. Discussion The RT-RAA detection method is more efficient and suitable for use at customs than RT-PCR assay to realize rapid customs clearance of 200 or fewer samples.

Abstract
The stress-response strategy is one of the nature's greatest developments, enabling animals and plants to respond quickly to environmental stimuli. One example is the stress-response strategy of the Venus flytrap, which enables such a delicate plant to perceive and prey on insects at an imperceptible speed by their soft terminal lobes. Here, inspired by this unique stress-response strategy, a soft gripper that aims at the challenges of high-speed dynamic grasping tasks is presented. The gripper, called high-speed soft gripper (HSG), is based on two basic design concepts. One is a snap-through instability that enables the HSG to sense the mechanical stimuli and actuating instantly. The other one is the spider-inspired pneumatic-powered control system that makes the trigger process repeatable and controllable. Utilizing the stress-response strategy, the HSG can accomplish high-speed sensing and grasping and handle a dynamic grasping task like catching a thrown baseball. Whereas soft machines typically exhibit slow locomotion speed and low manipulation strength for the intrinsic limitations of soft materials, the exploration of the stress-response strategy in this study can help pave the way for designing a new generation of practical high-speed soft robots.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze the influence of Bushen Tiaochong cycle therapy on Th1/Th2 deviation, sex hormone level, and pregnancy outcome of alloimmune recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). METHODS From August 2018 to April 2020, 130 patients with alloimmune RSA who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the control group (n = 65) and the study group (n = 65). The former received lymphocyte immunotherapy (LIT), and the latter received Bushen Tiaochong cycle therapy on the basis of LIT. The treatment ended at 12 w of pregnancy. The total score of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes, Th1 cytokine (IL-2), Th2 cytokine (IL-10), and related hormones (chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and progesterone (P)) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The positive rate of blocking antibody (BA), pregnancy success rate, and preterm birth rate were counted. RESULT After treatment, the total score of TCM syndromes, IL-2 level, and Th1/Th2 ratio in the two groups decreased significantly, while the levels of IL-10, hCG, and P increased significantly, and the study group improved significantly compared with the control group (P < 0.05). The positive rate of BA and pregnancy success rate in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the preterm birth rate between the two groups (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION On the basis of routine western medicine treatment, a combined application of Bushen Tiaochong cycle therapy can significantly improve the Th1/Th2 deviation, serum sex hormone level, and pregnancy outcome in patients with alloimmune RSA.

Abstract
Objective: To investigation and analysis of ammonia gas leakage in a meat factory. Methods: In April 2013, Enterprise managers and workers were investigated, and clinical data of 24 patients were analyzed. Results: The company caused a leak in the ammonia pipeline maintenance operation, Among the patients, 20 had stimulus response and 4 had mild poisoning. Conclusion: To prevent group occupational ammonia poisoning, it is necessary to strengthen the awareness of occupational disease prevention of enterprise owners and the awareness of self-protection of workers.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze the risk factors of central venous catheter-related thrombosis (CRT) in critically ill patients and develop the model of a nomogram. METHODS A prospective investigation study was conducted on 385 critically ill patients who received central venous catheters during hospitalization in Hengshui People's Hospital from May 2018 to March 2021. Color Doppler ultrasonography was performed daily after catheterization. Patients were divided into thrombosis group and non-thrombosis group according to whether CRT was formed. The patient's gender, age, body mass index (BMI), acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II (APACHE II) score, complications, existing tumor, D-dimer level on the 3rd day after catheterization, maximum velocity of right internal jugular vein on the 3rd day after catheterization, mechanical ventilation time, and catheter indwelling time were recorded, and the differences of above indexes between the two groups were compared. Multivariate Logistic regression was performed on the influencing factors with statistical differences between the two groups to establish the nomogram prediction. The receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC curve) and calibration curve were used to evaluate the predictive power of the model. RESULTS The incidence of central venous CRT in critically ill patients was 16.1% (62/385). Compared with non-thrombosis patients, the thrombosis group patients had higher APACHE II score, the proportion of existing tumor, and D-dimer level on the 3rd day after catheterization [APACHE II score: 17 (15, 19) vs. 15 (12, 18), the proportion of existing tumor: 51.6% (32/62) vs. 35.3% (114/323), D-dimer (mg/L): 0.84 (0.64, 0.94) vs. 0.57 (0.44, 0.76), all P < 0.05], the maximum flow rate of right internal jugular vein was slower on the 3rd day after catheterization [cm/s: 14 (13, 15) vs. 16 (14, 18), P < 0.05]. Univariate analysis showed that high APACHE II score, critical patients with existing tumor, high D-dimer level on the 3rd day after catheterization, and slow maximum flow rate of right internal jugular vein on the 3rd day after catheterization were more likely to develop central venous CRT. Further multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that high APACHE II score, existing tumor, high D-dimer level on the 3rd day after catheterization and slow maximum flow rate of right internal jugular vein on the 3rd day after catheterization were independent risk factors for central venous CRT in critical patients [odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) were 0.876 (0.801-0.957), 0.482 (0.259-0.895), 0.039 (0.011-0.139), 1.401 (1.218-1.611), and P values were 0.003, 0.021, < 0.001, < 0.001, respectively]. According to the results of multivariate analysis, the prediction model of the nomogram was constructed. The area under ROC curve (AUC) was 0.820, 95%CI was 0.767-0.872, P < 0.001. The calibration curve showed that the prediction probability of central venous CRT nomogram model in critically ill patients had good consistency with the actual occurrence probability. CONCLUSIONS Existing tumor, high APACHE II score, elevated D-dimer on the 3rd day after catheterization, and decreased maximum velocity of right internal jugular vein on the 3rd day after catheterization are independent risk factors for central venous CRT in critical patients. The prediction model based on the proposed model has good clinical efficacy.

Abstract
Antisense long non-coding RNAs (antisense lncRNAs), transcribed from the opposite strand of genes with either protein coding or non-coding function, were reported recently to play a crucial role in the process of tumor onset and development. Functionally, antisense lncRNAs either promote or suppress cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and chemoradiosensitivity. Mechanistically, they exert their regulatory functions through epigenetic, transcriptional, post-transcriptional, and translational modulations. Simultaneously, because of nucleotide sequence complementarity, antisense lncRNAs have a special role on its corresponding sense gene. We highlight the functions and molecular mechanisms of antisense lncRNAs in cancer tumorigenesis and progression. We also discuss the potential of antisense lncRNAs to become cancer diagnostic biomarkers and targets for tumor treatment.

Abstract
So far, only a few studies have examined and confirmed the correlation between end-expiratory carbon dioxide partial pressure (PETCO2) and arterial carbon dioxide tension (PaCO2) during invasive mechanical ventilation in critically ill patients. This study aimed to observe the correlation between PaCO2 and PETCO2 in patients on invasive mechanical ventilation.This was a cross-sectional study of adult patients on invasive mechanical ventilation enrolled between June 2018 and March 2019. Patients requiring invasive mechanical ventilation underwent one of the following mechanical ventilation modes: assisted/controlled ventilation, synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation, and spontaneous breathing. Subsequently, the difference and correlation between PETCO2 and PaCO2 were analyzed.A total of 184 patients with 298 pairs of PETCO2-PaCO2 data were included in the analysis. Without distinguishing the ventilator mode, there was significant positive correlation between PETCO2 and PaCO2. In different ventilator modes, the correlation coefficient was 0.81 for synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation, 0.47 for assisted/controlled ventilation, and 0.55 for spontaneous breathing, respectively. In patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (r = 0.80), multiple trauma (r = 0.64), severe pneumonia (r = 0.60), gastrointestinal surgery (r = 0.57), and cerebrovascular diseases (r = 0.53), PETCO2 and PaCO2 were positively correlated. For oxygenation index <200 mm Hg, correlation coefficient r = 0.69, P < .001; oxygenation index ≥200, r = 0.73, P < .001. Under different oxygenation indexes, there was no statistically significant difference between the 2 correlation coefficients. Among 116 pairs of data with oxygenation index <200 mm Hg, the difference of PaCO2-PETCO2 ≥10 mm Hg was found in 25 pairs (21.55%); in 182 pairs of data with oxygenation index ≥200 mm Hg, the difference of PaCO2-PETCO2 ≥10 mm Hg was found in 26 pairsIn patients on invasive mechanical ventilation, there was a good correlation between PETCO2 and PaCO2 in different ventilator modes, different disease types, and different oxygenation indexes, especially in synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation mode and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.

Abstract
Soft robotics revolutionized human-robot interactions, yet there exist persistent challenges for developing high-performance soft actuators that are powerful, rapid, controllable, safe, and portable. Here, we introduce a class of self-contained soft electrofluidic actuators (SEFAs), which can directly convert electrical energy into the mechanical energy of the actuators through electrically responsive fluids that drive the outside elastomer deformation. The use of special dielectric liquid enhances fluid flow capabilities, improving the actuation performance of the SEFAs. SEFAs are easily manufactured by using widely available materials and common fabrication techniques, and display excellent comprehensive performances in portability, controllability, rapid response, versatility, safety, and actuation. An artificial muscle stretching a joint and a soft bionic ray swimming in a tank demonstrate their effective performance. Hence, SEFAs offer a platform for developing soft actuators with potential applications in wearable assistant devices and soft robots.

Abstract
Objectives People living with HIV (PLWH) have a high risk of kidney injury. Measurement of serum creatinine, along with proteinuria, is not sensitive to detect early kidney injury. Here, we investigated novel urinary biomarkers of early renal injury in PLWH. Methods We performed a cross‐sectional study of 166 antiretroviral‐naïve PLWH and 99 HIV‐negative persons who all had an estimated glomerular filtration rate > 90 mL/min/1.73 m2. We compared the levels of seven urinary biomarkers between the two groups using the propensity score matching (PSM) approach and explored the risk factors associated with elevated urinary biomarkers in PLWH. Results Eighty‐three pairs were successfully matched based on PSM. Compared with the HIV‐negative group, the HIV‐positive group had higher ratios of N‐acetyl‐β‐D‐glucosaminidase (NAG) to urine creatinine (UCr), alpha1‐microglobulin (α1‐M) to UCr, kidney injury marker‐1 (KIM‐1) to UCr, neutrophil gelatinase‐associated lipocalin to UCr, and epidermal growth factor to UCr, whereas the Tamm–Horsfall protein to UCr ratio and the abnormal albumin to UCr ratio were not significantly different. Positive correlations were observed between HIV RNA level and NAG: UCr (rs = 0.32; P < 0.001) and α1‐M:UCr (rs = 0.24; P = 0.002) ratios, and negative correlations were observed between CD4 cell count and NAG:UCr (rs = –0.34; P < 0.001), KIM‐1:UCr (rs = –0.16; P = 0.042) and α1‐M:UCr (rs = –0.36; P < 0.001) ratios. In multivariate linear regression analyses, older age, lower total cholesterol and higher HIV RNA were independently associated with higher NAG:UCr; older age, lower total cholesterol and lower CD4 cell count were independently associated with higher α1‐M:UCr. Conclusions In comparioson with HIV‐negative participants, PLWH were more likely to have tubular injury. Early antiretroviral treatment might mitigate the development of kidney injury.

Abstract
A novel solar energy storage heating radiator (SESHR) prototype filled with low-temperature phase change material (PCM) has been developed to accommodate the urgent demand in thermal storage and the fluctuation in renewable energy utilization. This equipment integrated by several independent heat storage units (HSUs) and water and paraffin wax was used as a heat transfer fluid and an energy storage material, respectively. The experimental test platform for low-temperature SESHR was designed and established. The total storage/dissipation time, average storage/dissipation capacity, and the rate and overall thermal efficiency were investigated under different operating conditions. Experimental results showed that a higher temperature difference between the heat source and the melting point of the PCM could significantly improve the heat storage capacity and rate. The heat dissipation rate of the SESHR could be controlled by adjusting the opening ratio of the air convective channel. The average storage rate of the SESHR with 2#PCM reached 1106 W at a heat source temperature of 85 °C, and the average heat dissipation rate reached 80.7 W at 100% opening ratio when the SESHR was filled with 1#PCM.

Abstract
Background: COVID-19 infection is a major public health problem worldwide, and the D614G mutation enhances the infectivity of COVID-19. Methods: A probe-directed recombinase amplification (PDRA) assay was discussed to detect the D614G mutation at 39 ℃ for 30 min. The sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility of the PDRA were evaluated by D614 and G614 recombinant plasmids. The clinical performance of PDRA assay was validated by testing of 53 previously confirmed COVID-19 positive RNAs and 10 negative samples. Direct sequencing was carried out in parallel for comparison. Result: With good reproducibility and specificity, the PDRA assay worked well with the concentration in the range of 103-107 copies/reaction. Compared with direct sequencing as a reference, the recombinase-aided amplification (RAA) assay obtained 100% sensitivity and 100% specificity using clinical samples. Conclusions: A rapid, convenient, sensitive, and specific method to detect D614G mutation was developed, which offers a useful tool to monitor mutations in COVID-19 virus RNA.

Abstract
Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) is a viral infectious disease caused by the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) and is devastating the swine industry. MARC-145 cells, an African green monkey kidney cell line, are sensitive to PRRSV-2, and are often used for in vitro studies on PRRSV-2. Preliminary research has shown that glycyrrhizin, an important active component extracted from traditional Chinese medicinal licorice, significantly inhibits the proliferation of PRRSV-2 in MARC-145 cells; however, the in-depth molecular mechanism remains unclear. By determining the cell growth cycle, this study found that PRRSV-2 infection first increased the content of G1-phase MARC-145 cells and then decreased the content of G1-phase cells. Moreover, glycyrrhizin affected the role of PRRSV-2 in regulating the cell cycle. Furthermore, PRRSV-2 had the highest proliferation titer in G0/G1-phase MARC-145 cells, and glycyrrhizin reduced the content of PRRSV-2 in synchronized MARC-145 cells. According to the results of ATPase detection, PRRSV-2 infection weakened the Na+/K+-ATPase and Ca2+/Mg2+-ATPase activities in MARC-145 cells, while glycyrrhizin significantly enhanced their activities in PRRSV-2-infected MARC-145 cells. The above results provide theoretical support toward clarifying the mechanism by which glycyrrhizin inhibits the proliferation of PRRSV-2 in MARC-145 cells. Moreover, these results offer references for the development and use of glycyrrhizin and the clinical treatment of PRRSV-2 infection.

Liver abscesses occur in finishing cattle fed high-grain, low-roughage diets. Cattle with abscessed livers seldom show any clinical signs and are detected only at the time of slaughter. Liver abscesses are of significant economic concern to the feedlot industry. Liver abscesses comprise, on average, 67% of all liver abnormalities in cattle slaughtered in the United States with a prevalence of 10–20% and may reduce the value of the beef carcass up to $38 per animal with the most severe abscesses. There are four causative agents of the disease including the two subspecies of Fusobacterium necrophorum, ssp. necrophorum and ssp. funduliforme, Trueperella pyogenes, and Salmonella enterica. Tylosin, supplemented in the feed, is the most commonly used antibiotic in the feedlot industry to prevent liver abscesses. Because of the concerns about antimicrobial resistance, there is a need to find an effective alternative to this antibiotic, and sorghum grain extracts, which are high in phenolic compounds, may have the potential to be used as natural antibiotic alternatives. Our objectives were to investigate the efficacy of phenolic extracts from black, sumac, brown, and burgundy sorghums on liver abscess pathogens. The sorghum phenolics were extracted using 75% aqueous acetone and total phenolic content was determined by spectrophotometrically. Bacterial strains were cultured in Mueller-Hinton broth (Salmonella and Trueperella pyogenes) or anaerobic brain-heart infusion broth (Fusobacterium) with and without sorghum extracts (1 mg/ml) at 12, 24, and 48 hours and bacterial concentrations were determined. If the compound was inhibitory, a micro-broth dilution method was used to quantify the inhibitory activity. Both black and sumac sorghum phenolics inhibited growth of all four bacterial species. Further studies are ongoing to investigate different concentrations and phenolic compounds from varieties of sorghum grains on the liver abscess pathogens.

Phytophenols extracted from rosemary, green tea, grapeseed, organic goji berry, and green coffee were selected for testing. The phytophenols were extracted using 75% aqueous acetone and total phenolic content was determined by a spectrophotometric analysis. Bacteria were cultured in Mueller-Hinton broth (S. Lubbock and T. pyogenes) or anaerobic brain-heart infusion broth (F. necrophorum with and without phytophenols, at 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours and bacterial concentrations were determined. If phytophenol was inhibitory, a micro-broth dilution method was used to quantify the inhibition. Phytophenols from green tea, grape seed, and rosemary inhibited T. pyogenes. Further studies are ongoing to investigate different concentrations of phenolic compounds on the pathogens. Phytophenols that inhibit the pathogens may have the potential to be used as feed additives to prevent liver abscesses.

Abstract
Shape completion for 3-D point clouds is an important issue in the literature of computer graphics and computer vision. We propose an end-to-end shape-preserving point completion network through encoder-decoder architecture, which works directly on incomplete 3-D point clouds and can restore their overall shapes and fine-scale structures. To achieve this task, we design a novel encoder that encodes information from neighboring points in different orientations and scales, as well as a decoder that outputs dense and uniform complete point clouds. We augment a 3-D object dataset based on ModelNet40 and validate the effectiveness of our shape-preserving completion network. Experimental results demonstrate that the recovered point clouds lie close to ground truth points. Our method outperforms state-of-the-art approaches in terms of Chamfer distance (CD) error and earth mover's distance (EMD) error. Furthermore, our end-to-end completion network is robust to model noise, the different levels of incomplete data, and can also generalize well to unseen objects and real-world data.

Abstract
Recent advances in soft materials enable robots to possess safer human-machine interaction ways and adaptive motions, yet there remain substantial challenges to develop universal driving power sources that can achieve performance trade-offs between actuation, speed, portability, and reliability in untethered applications. Here, we introduce a class of fully soft electronic pumps that utilize electrical energy to pump liquid through electrons and ions migration mechanism. Soft pumps combine good portability with excellent actuation performances. We develop special functional liquids that merge unique properties of electrically actuation and self-healing function, providing a direction for self-healing fluid power systems. Appearances and pumpabilities of soft pumps could be customized to meet personalized needs of diverse robots. Combined with a homemade miniature high-voltage power converter, two different soft pumps are implanted into robotic fish and vehicle to achieve their untethered motions, illustrating broad potential of soft pumps as universal power sources in untethered soft robotics. Utilizing soft pumps in soft robotics is an attractive approach to endow untethered soft robots with muscle-like actuation. Here, the authors report bio-inspired soft electronic pumps as driving power sources to drive actuation and self-healing in untethered soft robotics.
