Abstract
Construction megaprojects play a significant role in today’s infrastructure provision in terms of sustainable development, and their increasing proliferation worldwide means the environmentally responsible behavior (ERB) of those involved are becoming of vital importance. This study investigates how ERB can be best supported in megaprojects by first identifying the motivational factors that are involved based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB), followed by a survey of 188 managers involved in China megaprojects to test the TPB model using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results strongly support the TPB model’s predictive ability, with subjective norms being the strongest predictors, followed by attitudes and perceived behavioral control. These findings provide support for decision makers in helping to cultivate and improve the level of megaproject ERB in China and many other such countries that are similarly involved.

Abstract
Fourier transform near-infrared (FT-NIR) spectroscopy is a nondestructive, rapid, real-time analysis of technical detection methods with an important reference value for producers and consumers. In this study, the feasibility of using FT-NIR spectroscopy for the rapid quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis of ‘Zaosu’ and ‘Dangshansuli’ pears is explored. The quantitative model was established by partial least squares (PLS) regression combined with cross-validation based on the spectral data of 340 pear fresh fruits and synchronized with the reference values determined by conventional assays. Furthermore, NIR spectroscopy combined with cluster analysis was used to identify varieties of ‘Zaosu’ and ‘Dangshansuli’. As a result, the model developed using FT-NIR spectroscopy gave the best results for the prediction models of soluble solid content (SSC) and titratable acidity (TA) of ‘Dangshansuli’ (residual prediction deviation, RPD: 3.272 and 2.239), which were better than those developed for ‘Zaosu’ SSC and TA modeling (RPD: 1.407 and 1.471). The results also showed that the variety identification of ‘Zaosu’ and ‘Dangshansuli’ could be carried out based on FT-NIR spectroscopy, and the discrimination accuracy was 100%. Overall, FT-NIR spectroscopy is a good tool for rapid and nondestructive analysis of the internal quality and variety identification of fresh pears.

Abstract
Objectives: To examine the impact of probiotics on the lung development of preterm birth of Bama pig. Methods: From April 2020 to October 2021, this animal experimental research was performed by setting up preterm (birth at gestation 104 d), full-term (birth at gestation 113 d), preterm with probiotics (birth at gestation 104 d treated with probiotics given at 3 d after birth), and full-term with probiotics (birth at gestation 113 d treated with probiotics given at 3 d after birth) groups and using the preterm Bama minipig model, the body weights were recorded and lung, ileum, and intestinal content samples were collected at birth, 4 days, 9 days, and 21 days after births of the piglets in preterm and full-term groups, the same samples were collected on 9 days after births of the piglets in preterm with probiotics and full-term with probiotics groups. The body weight and radial alveolar counts (RAC) were compared to evaluate the lung development of the piglets. The lengths of ileal villus were compared to evaluate the development of ileum. The composition structures of bacteria in ileum were analyzed by 16 S rRNA sequencing. The statistical analyses between different groups were performed by t test. Results: There were totally 30 piglets (16 female piglets and 14 male piglets) involving 12 piglets in preterm and full-term groups respectively and 3 piglets in preterm with probiotics and full-term with probiotics groups respectively. The body weights of the piglets in preterm group were lower than those in full-term group at 4, 9 and 21 d after birth ((507±27) vs. (694±56) g, (620±35) vs. (1 092±154) g, (1 660±210) vs. (2 960±418) g,t=2.96, 2.99, 2.78, all P<0.05). The alveolarization of the preterm piglets at 9 days after birth was significantly lower than that of the full-term piglets at the equivalent time point (4.00±0.29 vs. 6.11±0.35, t=4.64, P<0.01). The bacteria genus with the highest abundance in ileum were all different between the preterm and the full-term groups at 4, 9 and 21 d after birth (4 d Escherichia-Shigella (26.63%) and Enterococcus (30.48%) respectively;9 d Turicibacter (35.94%) and Lactobacillus (27.33%) respectively;21 d Escherichia-Shigella (28.02%) and Lactobacillus (46.29%) respectively). The heights of ileal villus of the preterm piglets at 9 d after birth were significantly lower than those of the full-term minipigs at the equivalent time point ((297±21) vs. (411±32) μm, t=3.01, P=0.007).There were both no differences in the body weight and alveolarization ((692±36) vs. (767±67) g, 5.44±0.34 vs. 5.89±0.26, t=0.74, 1.04, both P>0.05) between the piglets in preterm with probiotics group and those in full-term with probiotics group. Turicibacter was the dominant genus in the piglets of both preterm with probiotics and the full-term with probiotics groups. The heights of ileal villus of the piglets in preterm with probiotics group were significantly longer that those of the piglets in preterm group ((371±13) vs. (297±21) μm, t=3.04, P=0.006), and were both not significantly different from those of the piglets in full-term with probiotics group and full-term group ((371±13) vs. (338±12) and (411±32) μm, t=1.90, 1.15, both P>0.05). Conclusions: Premature birth could impact the lung alveolarization of piglets. The probiotics could improve the lung alveolarization of preterm minipigs by promoting the development of ileum.

Abstract
Chlorogenic acid (CGA), a major dietary phenolic compound, has been increasingly used in the food and pharmaceutical industries because of its ready availability and extensive biological and pharmacological activities. Traditionally, extraction from plants has been the main approach for the commercial production of CGA. This study reports the first efficient microbial production of CGA by engineering the yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, on a simple mineral medium. First, an optimized de novo biosynthetic pathway for CGA was reconstructed in S. cerevisiae from glucose with a CGA titer of 36.6 ± 2.4 mg/L. Then, a multimodule engineering strategy was employed to improve CGA production: (1) unlocking the shikimate pathway and optimizing carbon distribution; (2) optimizing the l-Phe branch and pathway balancing; and (3) increasing the copy number of CGA pathway genes. The combination of these interventions resulted in an about 6.4-fold improvement of CGA titer up to 234.8 ± 11.1 mg/L in shake flask cultures. CGA titers of 806.8 ± 1.7 mg/L were achieved in a 1 L fed-batch fermenter. This study opens a route to effectively produce CGA from glucose in S. cerevisiae and establishes a platform for the biosynthesis of CGA-derived value-added metabolites.

Abstract
Collinear laser spectroscopy is performed on the nickel isotopes ^{58-68,70}Ni, using a time-resolved photon counting system. From the measured isotope shifts, nuclear charge radii R_{c} are extracted and compared to theoretical results. Three ab initio approaches all employ, among others, the chiral interaction NNLO_{sat}, which allows an assessment of their accuracy. We find agreement with experiment in differential radii δ⟨r_{c}^{2}⟩ for all employed ab initio methods and interactions, while the absolute radii are consistent with data only for NNLO_{sat}. Within nuclear density functional theory, the Skyrme functional SV-min matches experiment more closely than the Fayans functional Fy(Δr,HFB).

Abstract
Hippocampal atrophy is endemic in 'normal aging' but it is unclear what factors drive age-related changes in medial temporal lobe (MTL) structural measures. We investigated cross-sectional (n = 191) and longitudinal (n = 164) MTL atrophy patterns in cognitively normal older adults from ADNI-GO/2 with no to low cerebral β-amyloid and assessed whether white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) phospho tau (p-tau) levels can explain age-related changes in the MTL. Age was significantly associated with hippocampal volumes and Brodmann Area (BA) 35 thickness, regions affected early by neurofibrillary tangle pathology, in the cross-sectional analysis and with anterior and/or posterior hippocampus, entorhinal cortex and BA35 in the longitudinal analysis. CSF p-tau was significantly associated with hippocampal volumes and atrophy rates. Mediation analyses showed that CSF p-tau levels partially mediated age effects on hippocampal atrophy rates. No significant associations were observed for WMHs. These findings point toward a role of tau pathology, potentially reflecting Primary Age-Related Tauopathy, in age-related MTL structural changes and suggests a potential role for tau-targeted interventions in age-associated neurodegeneration and memory decline.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The bioactive alkaloids identified from Cortex Phellodendri (CP) were highly effective in treating rats with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Specifically, lipoxygenase-5 (LOX-5) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) were identified as two primary targets for alleviating inflammation in BPH rats. However, it remains unknown whether the alkaloid components in CP can interact with the two target proteins. PURPOSE To further identify bioactive alkaloids targeting LOX/COX pathways. METHODS An affinity-ultrafiltration mass spectrometry approach was employed to screen dual-target LOX-5/COX-2 ligands from alkaloid extract. The structures of bioactive alkaloids were characterized by high-resolution Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. To understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of bioactive alkaloids, the expression levels of LOX-5 and COX-2 in BPH model rats were investigated at both protein and mRNA levels. The LOX-5/COX-2 enzymes activity experiments and molecular docking analysis were performed to fully evaluate the interactions between bioactive alkaloids and LOX-5/COX-2. RESULTS After comprehensive analysis, the results showed that bioactive alkaloids could suppress the expression of LOX-5 and COX-2 simultaneously to exert an anti-inflammatory effect on the progression of BPH. In addition, the screened protoberberine, demethyleneberberine was found to exhibit prominent inhibitory activities against both LOX-5 and COX-2 enzymes, palmatine and berberine with moderate inhibitory activities. Molecular docking analysis confirmed that demethyleneberberine could interact well with LOX-5/COX-2. CONCLUSION This study is the first to explore the inhibitory effects of bioactive alkaloids from CP on LOX-5 and COX-2 activities in BPH rats. Our findings demonstrate that the bioactive alkaloids from CP can ameliorate BPH via dual LOX-5/COX-2 pathways, which serves as an efficient approach for the discovery of novel drug leads from natural products with reduced side effects.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To develop a population pharmacokinetic (PK) model for bedaquiline (BDQ) to describe the concentration-time data from patients with multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) in China.METHOD: A total of 306 PK observations from 69 patients were used in a non-linear, mixed-effects modelling (NONMEM) approach. BDQ PK can be adequately described by a three-compartment model with a transit absorption model. The impact of baseline covariates, including age, sex, height, weight, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), apolipoprotein (ALP), total bilirubin (TBIL), direct bilirubin (DBIL), creatinine (CR), potassium (K+), calcium (Ca++) and magnesium (Mg++) on the oral clearance (CL/F) of BDQ were investigated.RESULTS: In final population PK model, no significant covariates were found in the population PK model for BDQ. The population PK parameter estimate values for oral clearance (CL/F); CL/F between central compartment and peripheral compartment (Q1/F, Q2/F); peripheral volume of distribution (Vp1/F, VP2/F) were respectively 1.50 L/h (95% CI 1.07-1.93), 2.54 L/h (95% CI 1.67-3.41), 1,250 L (95% CI 616.9-1883.1), 2.00 L/h (95% CI 1.10-2.90) and 4,960 L (95% CI 1647.6-8272.4). Inter-individual variability on CL/F was 65.0%.CONCLUSION: This is the first study to establish a population PK model for BDQ in Chinese patients with MDR-TB. The final model adequately described the data and had good simulation characteristics. Despite some limitations, the final population PK model was stable with good accuracy of parameter estimation.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the classification and reconstruction strategy of defects in lateral face region after operation of malignant tumors. Methods: Eighteen cases with the reconstruction of complicated defects after resection of tumors in the region of lateral face from January 2015 to January 2018 in Hunan Cancer Hospital were retrospectively reviewed. There were 14 males and 4 females, aged from 32 to 68 years. According to the presence or absence of bony scaffold, complicated defects were divided into two main categories: soft tissue perforating defects and soft tissue defects combined with bony scaffold defects. All soft tissue perforating defects in 5 cases were repaired with free anterolateral femoral flaps. Among 13 cases with soft tissue plus bony scaffold defects, 3 were repaired with free fibular flaps, 6 with free fibular flaps combined with free anterolateral femoral flaps, and 4 with chimeric deep circumflex iliac artery perforator flaps combined with anterolateral femoral flaps. Results: All flaps survived well. Two patients complicated with fistula in floor of mouth, but the wound healed after dressing change. Transoral feeding was resumed within 2 weeks after surgery in all patients. One year follow-up evaluation showed that 14 cases had symmetrical face and 10 cases had mouth opening more than 3 transverse fingers. After 36-50 months of follow-up, 6 patients died, with an overall 3-year survival rate of 66.7%. Conclusion: The classification of defects with or without bony stent loss is conducive to the overall repair design, the recovery of facial contour stent, the effective fill of dead space and the maintain of residual occlusal relationship. Good reconstruction results require a multi flap combination of osteocutaneous and soft tissue flaps.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Effects on maize were assessed of dual inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and dark septate endophytes (DSE) isolated from other plant species. METHODS Suspensions of DSE isolated from Stipa krylovii were prepared at different densities (2, 4, and 8 × 105 CFU mL- 1) and inoculated separately (AMF or DSE) or together (AMF + DSE), to explore their effects on maize growth. RESULTS Inoculation with AMF or medium and high densities of DSE and combined inoculation (AMF + DSE) increased plant above-ground growth and altered root morphology. Differences in plant growth were attributable to differences in DSE density, with negative DSE inoculation responsiveness at low density. AMF promoted plant above-ground growth more than DSE and the high density of DSE promoted root development more than AMF. Combined inoculation might lead to synergistic growth effects on maize at low density of DSE and competitive effects at medium and high DSE densities. CONCLUSIONS AMF and DSE co-colonized maize roots and they had positive effects on the host plants depending on DSE density. These findings indicate the optimum maize growth-promoting combination of AMF and DSE density and provide a foundation for further exploration of potentially synergistic mechanisms between AMF and DSE in physiological and ecological effects on host plants.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the delivery of poorly water-soluble non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) by carboxyl-functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN-COOH) with high specific surface area (SBET). In this study, MSN-COOH was prepared by collaborative self-assembly using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as template and hydrolysis (3-triethoxyl-propyl) succinic anhydride (TESPSA) as co-structure auxiliary directing agent (CSDA). The drug delivery systems were constructed with NSAIDs including Nimesulide (NMS) and Indomethacin (IMC) as model drugs. Moreover, the characterization techniques, hemolysis and bio-adsorption testes, in vitro drug release and in vivo biological studies of MSN-COOH were also carried out. The characterization results showed that MSN-COOH is spheres with clearly visible irregular honeycomb nanopores and rough surface (SBET: 1257 m2/g, pore volume (VP): 1.17 cm3/g). After loading NMS/IMC into MSN-COOH with high drug loading efficiency (NMS: 98.7 and IMC: 98.2%), most crystalline NMS and IMC converted to amorphous phase confirmed using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and X-ray power diffraction (XRD) analysis. Meanwhile, MSN-COOH significantly increased the dissolution of NMS and IMC compared with non-functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN), which was also confirmed by wettability experiments. The results of in vivo biological effects showed that MSN-COOH had higher bioavailability of NMS and IMC than MSN, and exerted strong anti-inflammatory effects by delivering more NMS and IMC in vivo. STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE: This study successfully prepared MSNs-COOH (mesoporous silica nanoparticles modified with negatively charged carboxyl groups on the surface and in the pores) with high specific surface area and pore volume by using the negatively charged carboxyl group (hyd-TESPSA) and the positively charged CTAB self-assembled through electrostatic attraction under alkaline conditions. The drug delivery systems were constructed with Nimesulide (NMS) and Indomethacin (IMC) as model drugs. The results showed MSNs-COOH had high drug loading capacity and also exhibited good in vitro drug release properties. Interestingly, NMS loaded MSNs-COOH also had a potential pH responsive release effect. In vivo biological studies revealed that NMS/IMC loaded MSNs-COOH could evidently improve the bioavailability and played the strong anti-inflammatory effects.

Abstract
Objectives This study aimed to investigate whether soluble dietary fibers (SDFs) could protect against obesity by influencing weight, body mass index (BMI), body fat rate (BFR), visceral fat rate (VFR), or waistline. Methods We examined obese adult patients from western China at 0 and 3 weeks after an SDF diet. Index assessments of obesity including height, weight, BMI, BFR, VFR, and waistline were carried out. We used the Mann-Whitney U test to examine the difference between the usual diet and the SDF group. Results Weight, BMI, BFR, and waistline were reduced in both the control group and the SDF group (P < 0.001). The reduction of the four indices in the SDF group was significantly higher than in the control group (P < 0.001). Higher intake of various SDFs has significantly reduced the weight, BMI, BFR, and waistline than the usual diet group in obesity. Conclusion Our results indicated that increased intake of SDFs in the diet of obese patients would protect against obesity in the first 3 weeks.

Abstract
Coal mining results in reduced soil quality and makes environments less stable. Soil fungi are suitable indicators of soil quality for monitoring purposes. Here, the objective was therefore to investigate the effects of grazing and mining on the composition of the soil fungal community at the periphery of an opencast coal-mine dump in the Shengli mining area, Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia. A total of 2,110 fungal operational taxonomic units were identified and subdivided into 81 orders and nine categories, based on trophic modes. The sensitive factor to mining was soil pH, and that to grazing were soil nitrate-nitrogen and alkaline phosphatase activity. According to the Pearson correlation and Mantel test, we propose interactions between grazing and coal-mining exist a co-effect and could regulate edaphic variables to alter the behavior of soil fungal community. Moreover, compared with coal-mining, grazing has a greater impact on it. The results provide a basis to further clarify soil fungal ecological functions, and may also contribute to the practice of soil remediation and environmental management in coal-mining areas.

Abstract
Aim: To investigate the effects of SKA3 on cell proliferation and metastasis in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and its underlying mechanism. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was employed to analyze the expression of SKA3 in NSCLC. CCK-8 assay, EdU assay, Transwell assay and flow cytometry analysis were employed to assess cell proliferation, metastatic potential and apoptosis in vitro, respectively. A lung metastasis model was used to evaluate metastasis of NSCLC cells in vivo. A luciferase reporter gene assay was conducted to verify the targeting relationship. Results: SKA3 exhibited high expression in NSCLC tissues and cells. Overexpression of SKA3 remarkably accelerated cell proliferation and metastasis and suppressed apoptosis of NSCLC cells and promoted lung metastasis in a mouse model. miR-128-3p repressed SKA3 expression by targeting it. Conclusion: miR-128-3p inhibited the progression of NSCLC through targeting SKA3.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effects of scenario simulation teaching of junior nurses in a burns department on the fluid resuscitation care of massive burn patients during shock stage. Methods: From March 2018 to July 2019, 25 junior nurses fixed in the Department of Burn of Ruijin Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine met the inclusion criteria and were recruited in this prospective before-after self-control study, including 21 females and 4 males, aged 23 to 26 years. They had a work experience of 1.0 (1.0, 2.0) years in the Department of Burn. Three teaching scenarios were made according to the three major problems in the fluid resuscitation nursing of extensive burn patients during shock stage. The teaching plans were written based on the theoretical framework of Jeffrie's nursing simulation teaching. The high feasibility and practicability of the teaching plans was verified through expert consultation and evaluation by junior nurses. According to the three scenarios in the teaching plan, the junior nurses were performed with scenario simulation teaching, with 2 hours for each scenario, 6 hours in total. In one month before and after the teaching (hereinafter referred to as before and after teaching), the comprehensive ability of junior nurses was evaluated by the teachers using the self-designed junior nurse comprehensive ability evaluation scale, and their behaviors were evaluated by themselves with Performance Self-rating Scale for Nursing Students on High Simulation Training. Data were statistically analyzed with paired sample t test. Results: After teaching, the scores on communication skills, patient admissions, condition assessments, fluid resuscitation, emergency treatment, drug management, nursing skills, instrument use, teamwork, and humanitarian care and total score in the comprehensive ability evaluation of junior nurses as evaluated by teachers were significantly higher than those before teaching (t=-8.060, -11.421, -17.232, -24.800, -4.670, -11.916, -12.131, -11.606, -14.632, -13.325, -25.068, P<0.01), with 4 items including fluid resuscitation, condition assessment, nursing skills, and equipment operation having higher scores. After teaching, the nurses' self-rating scores on communication, division of labor and cooperation, clinical decision-making, professional knowledge and skills, and professional development and critical thinking and total score were (4.6±0.4), (4.8±0.3), (4.6±0.3), (4.6±0.4), (4.6±0.4), and (23.2±1.5) points respectively, which were significantly higher than the corresponding scores of (4.1±0.7), (4.2±0.7), (3.9±0.5), (3.7±0.6), (3.9±0.5), and (18.8±2.6) points before teaching (t=-3.361, -5.721, -6.987, -7.923, -7.922, -7.367, P<0.01). Conclusions: With solving the practical problems in nursing works of fluid resuscitation care of massive burn patients during shock stage as entry point, scenario simulation teaching aims to train the clinical practice ability and adaptability of junior nurses, thereby improving junior nurses' comprehensive ability of clinical practice in the fluid resuscitation care of massive burn patients during shock stage, enhancing their self-confidence and critical thinking ability.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the sonographic features of primary thyroid lymphoma (PTL) and to evaluate the clinical significance of ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy (US-CNB) in PTL. Methods: A total of 24 patients with suspected PTL in Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital from January 2013 to June 2018 were analyzed retrospectively. All cases were confirmed by pathology, of them 23 patients received US-CNB and 1 patient chose operation without US-CNB, including 5 males and 19 females, aged from 39 to 75 years old. The effectiveness and safety of 23 patients with US-CNB were evaluated, and the sonographic features of 20 patients with PTL diagnosed by pathology were analyzed. Descriptive statistical methods were used in the study. Results: In the 23 patients with suspected PTL underwent US-CNB, 18 patients were diagnosed as PTL, 4 patients were respectively diagnosed as subacute thyroiditis, anaplastic carcinoma, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and fibro thyroiditis, and the another patient was hard to diagnose by US-CNB and then was diagnosed as PTL by surgical biopsy. The success rate of US-CNB for diagnosis of PTL was 18/19, and no severe complications occurred in the patients with US-CNB. The other case was diagnosed as PTL by surgical biopsy without US-CNB. Sonographic features of 20 cases with PTL (18 cases diagnosed by US-CNB and 2 cases by surgery or surgery biopsy) were as follows: (1) Most nodules had irregular shapes and unsmooth margins; (2) Hypoechoic or markedly hypoechoic nodules with honeycombed or cord structures were observed in most cases; (3) Calcification was rare; (4) Multiple lesions were common; (5) Abundant intralesional vascularization was commonly observed; (6) Most cases had intensification of posterior acoustic enhancement; (7) Thyroid gland enlargement or with irregular shape; and (8) PTL often accompanied with lymph nodes enlargement in lateral neck or central region. Conclusion: PTL has certain sonographic features, with assistance of US-CNB, more accurate diagnosis of PTL can be obtained.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Multidrug-resistant (MDR) Stenotrophomonas maltophilia strain MER1 was isolated from hospital wastewater in Shandong Province, China. This study aimed to determine the genetic determinants related to its striking MDR phenotype. METHODS Antimicrobial susceptibility testing of strain MER1 was performed by disk diffusion on Mueller-Hinton agar plates, and MICs were interpreted according to Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute breakpoints. The genome of MER1 was sequenced and assembled using PacBio RS II and BGISEQ-500 platforms. Antimicrobial resistance determinants together with other transferability or adaptability determinants were identified by comparative genomics. Phylogenetic and contextual assays for these elements were conducted to assess the risk of spread of MER1. RESULTS Antimicrobial susceptibility testing revealed that strain MER1 is resistant to nine different antibiotics, including ampicillin, meropenem, amikacin, erythromycin, vancomycin, tetracycline, tigecycline, colistin and ceftazidime. Several genes were identified encoding efflux pumps and drug-inactivating agents, accounting for resistance to the above antibiotics, including meropenem, tigecycline and colistin regarded as last-line therapies for infections caused by MDR Gram-negative bacteria. MER1 co-harbours two non-mobile mcr homologues. A novel genomic region of variability was demonstrated to confer bacterial robustness and adaptability upon strain MER1. CONCLUSION Collective efforts revealed the MDR properties and potential genetic determinants of S. maltophilia MER1 isolated from hospital wastewater. Comparative genomic analysis of S. maltophilia MER1 may provide insights into the prevention and treatment of antimicrobial-resistant infections. Our findings raise concern that the MDR genes in the reservoir of S. maltophilia may further spread into various ecological niches or medically high-risk pathogens.

Abstract
Intramuscular fat (IMF) content is a critical indicator of pork quality that affects directly the purchasing desire of consumers. However, to measure IMF content is both laborious and costly, preventing our understanding of its genetic determinants and improvement. In the present study, we constructed an accurate and fast image acquisition and analysis system, to extract and calculate the digital IMF content, the proportion of fat areas in the image (PFAI) of the longissimus muscle of 1709 animals from multiple pig populations. PFAI was highly significantly correlated with marbling scores (MS; 0.95, r2 = 0.90), and also with IMF contents chemically defined for 80 samples (0.79, r2 = 0.63; more accurate than direct analysis between IMF contents and MS). The processing time for one image is only 2.31 s. Genome-wide association analysis on PFAI for all 1709 animals identified 14 suggestive significant SNPs and 1 genome-wide significant SNP. On MS, we identified nine suggestive significant SNPs, and seven of them were also identified in PFAI. Furthermore, the significance (-log P) values of the seven common SNPs are higher in PFAI than in MS. Novel candidate genes of biological importance for IMF content were also discovered. Our imaging systems developed for prediction of digital IMF content is closer to IMF measured by Soxhlet extraction and slightly more accurate than MS. It can achieve fast and high-throughput IMF phenotype, which can be used in improvement of pork quality.

Abstract
The medial temporal lobe (MTL) is a nidus for neurodegenerative pathologies and therefore an important region in which to study polypathology. We investigated associations between neurodegenerative pathologies and the thickness of different MTL subregions measured using high-resolution post-mortem MRI. Tau, TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43), amyloid-β and α-synuclein pathology were rated on a scale of 0 (absent)-3 (severe) in the hippocampus and entorhinal cortex (ERC) of 58 individuals with and without neurodegenerative diseases (median age 75.0 years, 60.3% male). Thickness measurements in ERC, Brodmann Area (BA) 35 and 36, parahippocampal cortex, subiculum, cornu ammonis (CA)1 and the stratum radiatum lacunosum moleculare (SRLM) were derived from 0.2 × 0.2 × 0.2 mm3 post-mortem MRI scans of excised MTL specimens from the contralateral hemisphere using a semi-automated approach. Spearman's rank correlations were performed between neurodegenerative pathologies and thickness, correcting for age, sex and hemisphere, including all four proteinopathies in the model. We found significant associations of (1) TDP-43 with thickness in all subregions (r = - 0.27 to r = - 0.46), and (2) tau with BA35 (r = - 0.31) and SRLM thickness (r = - 0.33). In amyloid-β and TDP-43 negative cases, we found strong significant associations of tau with ERC (r = - 0.40), BA35 (r = - 0.55), subiculum (r = - 0.42) and CA1 thickness (r = - 0.47). This unique dataset shows widespread MTL atrophy in relation to TDP-43 pathology and atrophy in regions affected early in Braak stageing and tau pathology. Moreover, the strong association of tau with thickness in early Braak regions in the absence of amyloid-β suggests a role of Primary Age-Related Tauopathy in neurodegeneration.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effect of preventive use of etocoxib-induced preemptive analgesia on three types of pain (wound pain, swallowing pain, mouth opening pain) after extraction of impacted teeth. Methods: In this study, 60 patients (60 teeth) with impacted mandibular third molars in Department of Jinyintan Outpatient, School of Stomatology, Wuhan University from May to October 2020 were enrolled. The patients were numbered by SPSS 21.0 and randomly divided into two groups. The odd number was included in the etocoxib group, and the even number was included in the control group, with 30 cases in each group. Patients in the two groups were given etocoxib 60 mg or placebo vitamin C 100 mg 30 min before operation. Pain at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 24 hours after tooth extraction was recorded with numeric rating scale (NRS) score. The total dose of ibuprofen rescue intake was recorded. Kaplan-Meier curves and Log-Rank analyses were used to evaluate the proportion of patients without rescue analgesic. Results: The NRS scores of wound pain, swallowing pain and mouth opening pain in the etoricoxib group were lower than those in the control group within 24 hours after tooth extraction (P<0.05). The total dose of emergency analgesics in the etoricoxib group [(0.7±0.7) dose] was lower than that in the control group [(1.4±0.9) dose] (P<0.01). The mean time between first application of analgesics was 11.5 hours in etoricoxib group and 3.5 hours in the placebo group, respectively (P<0.05). Conclusions: This study revealed that etoricoxib has a substantial preemptive analgesic effect, resulting in the reduced use of analgesics after third molar removal.

Abstract
Background Little is known about the heterogeneous etiology of suspected non-Alzheimer’s pathophysiology (SNAP), a group of subjects with neurodegeneration in the absence of β-amyloid. Using antemortem MRI and pathological data, we investigated the etiology of SNAP and the association of neurodegenerative pathologies with structural medial temporal lobe (MTL) measures in β-amyloid-negative subjects. Methods Subjects with antemortem MRI and autopsy data were selected from ADNI (n=63) and the University of Pennsylvania (n=156). Pathological diagnoses and semi-quantitative scores of MTL tau, neuritic plaques, α-synuclein, and TDP-43 pathology and MTL structural MRI measures from antemortem T1-weighted MRI scans were obtained. β-amyloid status (A+/A−) was determined by CERAD score and neurodegeneration status (N+/N−) by hippocampal volume. Results SNAP reflects a heterogeneous group of pathological diagnoses. In ADNI, SNAP (A−N+) had significantly more neuropathological diagnoses than A+N+. In the A− group, tau pathology was associated with hippocampal, entorhinal cortex, and Brodmann area 35 volume/thickness and TDP-43 pathology with hippocampal volume. Conclusion SNAP had a heterogeneous profile with more mixed pathologies than A+N+. Moreover, a role for TDP-43 and tau pathology in driving MTL neurodegeneration in the absence of β-amyloid was supported.
