Abstract
Recent genome-wide association studies have suggested novel risk loci associated with periodontitis, which is initiated by dysbiosis in subgingival plaque and leads to destruction of teeth-supporting structures. One such genetic locus was the tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 3 interacting protein 2 (TRAF3IP2), a gene encoding the gate-keeping interleukin (IL)-17 receptor adaptor. In this study, we first determined that carriers of the lead exonic variant rs13190932 within the TRAF3IP2 locus combined with a high plaque microbial burden was associated with more severe periodontitis than noncarriers. We then demonstrated that TRAF3IP2 is essential in the IL-17-mediated CCL2 and IL-8 chemokine production in primary gingival epithelial cells. Further analysis suggested that rs13190932 may serve a surrogate variant for a genuine loss-of-function variant rs33980500 within the same gene. Traf3ip2 null mice (Traf3ip2-/-) were more susceptible than wild-type (WT) mice to the Porphyromonas gingivalis-induced periodontal alveolar bone loss. Such bone loss was associated with a delayed P. gingivalis clearance and an attenuated neutrophil recruitment in the gingiva of Traf3ip2-/- mice. Transcriptomic data showed decreased expression of antimicrobial genes, including Lcn2, S100a8, and Defb1, in the Traf3ip2-/- mouse gingiva in comparison to WT mice prior to or upon P. gingivalis oral challenge. Further 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing analysis identified a distinct microbial community in the Traf3ip2-/- mouse oral plaque, which was featured by a reduced microbial diversity and an overabundance of Streptococcus genus bacteria. More P. gingivalis was observed in the Traf3ip2-/- mouse gingiva than WT control animals in a ligature-promoted P. gingivalis invasion model. In agreement, neutrophil depletion resulted in more local gingival tissue invasion by P. gingivalis. Thus, we identified a homeostatic IL-17-TRAF3IP2-neutrophil axis underpinning host defense against a keystone periodontal pathogen.

Abstract
Port site metastasis (PSM) is considered an uncommon and rare complication in gynecologic malignancies with unclear treatment recommendations or guidelines. Thus, we report the treatment strategies and outcomes of two cases of PSMs following gynecologic malignancies and a review of the literature to provide much information about the most frequent sites of PSMs and the incidence of PSMs in different gynecological tumors. A 57-year-old woman underwent laparoscopic radical surgery for right ovarian serous carcinoma in June 2016 followed by postoperative chemotherapy. Because PSMs were present near the port site of the bilateral iliac fossa, the tumors were completely removed on August 4, 2020, and the patient received chemotherapy. She has shown no signs of relapse. During the same period, a 39-year-old woman underwent laparoscopic type II radical hysterectomy for endometrial adenocarcinoma involving the endometrium and cervix on May 4, 2014, without adjuvant treatment. In July 2020, a subcutaneous mass under her abdominal incision was removed, and chemotherapy plus radiotherapy was administered. Metastasis was found in the left lung in September 2022, but there was no abnormality in the abdominal incision. We showed the two cases of PSMs, reviewed articles to provide some new insights about the incidences of PSMs in the gynecologic tumors, and discussed the proper preventive strategies.

Abstract
Introduction Social media enable advertisers to promote products by placing ads into videos posted by social media influencers. However, according to psychological reactance theory, any persuasive attempt may evoke reactance. Therefore, how to minimize the audience's potential resistance to product placements is important. This study investigated how the parasocial relationship (PSR) between audiences and influencers as well as the extent to which the influencer's expertise matched the product (termed as influencer-product congruence) shaped audience attitude towards the product placement and their purchase intention through reactance. Methods The study conducted a 2 (PSR: high vs low) × 2 (influencer-product congruence: congruent vs incongruent) between-subjects online experiment (N = 210) to test hypotheses. SPSS 24 and PROCESS macro by Hayes were used to analyze the data. Results The results demonstrate that PSR and influencer-product congruence enhanced the audience's attitude and purchase intention. Moreover, these positive effects were mediated by lowering levels of the audience's reactance. Additionally, we found preliminary evidence suggesting that PSR moderated the effect of perceived expertise of the influencer on reactance. Specifically, this effect was stronger among those reporting a low level of PSR compared to a high level. Conclusion Our findings reveal how PSR and influencer-product congruence are intertwined to shape audience evaluation of product placement via social media and highlight the central role of reactance in this process. This study also provides advice on the selection of influencer when promoting product placement on social media.

Abstract
PURPOSE To develop and validate a 3D-convolutional neural network (3D-CNN) model based on chest CT for differentiating active pulmonary tuberculosis (APTB) from community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). MATERIALS AND METHODS Chest CT images of APTB and CAP patients diagnosed in two imaging centers (n = 432 in center A and n = 61 in center B) were collected retrospectively. The data in center A were divided into training, validation and internal test sets, and the data in center B were used as an external test set. A 3D-CNN was built using Keras deep learning framework. After the training, the 3D-CNN selected the model with the highest accuracy in the validation set as the optimal model, which was applied to the two test sets in centers A and B. In addition, the two test sets were independently diagnosed by two radiologists. The 3D-CNN optimal model was compared with the discrimination, calibration and net benefit of the two radiologists in differentiating APTB from CAP using chest CT images. RESULTS The accuracy of the 3D-CNN optimal model was 0.989 and 0.934 with the internal and external test set, respectively. The area-under-the-curve values with the 3D-CNN model in the two test sets were statistically higher than that of the two radiologists (all P < 0.05), and there was a high calibration degree. The decision curve analysis showed that the 3D-CNN optimal model had significantly higher net benefit for patients than the two radiologists. CONCLUSIONS 3D-CNN has high classification performance in differentiating APTB from CAP using chest CT images. The application of 3D-CNN provides a new automatic and rapid diagnosis method for identifying patients with APTB from CAP using chest CT images.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the application of quantitative computed tomography (CT) in analyses of lung changes in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). METHODS A total of 150 clinically diagnosed RA patients underwent chest CT and 150 matched non-smokers subjects with normal chest CT are enrolled. A CT software is applied to analyze CT obtained from both groups. The quantitative indices of emphysema are expressed as the percentage of lung area with attenuation < -950HU to the total lung volume (LAA-950%), and pulmonary fibrosis was expressed as the percentage of lung area with a attenuation of -200 to -700HU to the total lung volume (LAA-200--700%), quantitative indicators of pulmonary vascular include aortic diameter (AD), pulmonary artery diameter (PAD), the ratio of PAD to AD (PAD/AD ratio), the number of blood vessels (TNV), and the cross area of blood vessels (TAV). The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve is used to evaluate the ability of these indexes in identifying the changes in the lung in RA patients. RESULTS Compared to the control group, the RA group has significantly lower TLV, larger AD, and smaller TNV and TAV (3921±1101 vs. 4490±1046, 33.26±4.20 vs. 32.95±3.76, 13.14±4.93 vs. 17.53±3.34, and 96.89±40.62 vs. 163.32±34.97, respectively, with all p < 0.001). Peripheral vascular indicator TAV has the better ability to identify lung changes in RA patients (area under ROC curve AUC = 0.894) than TNV (AUC = 0.780) or LAA-200 &sim-700% (AUC = 0.705). CONCLUSION Quantitative CT can detect changes in lung density distribution and peripheral vascular injury in patients with RA and assess the severity.

Abstract
A variety of evidence suggest that 5-Aminolevulinic acid-based photodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) is clinically effective in management of acne vulgaris. Several clinical guidelines for acne recommend PDT as an alternative treatment modality for severe acne. However, there is a lack of detailed clinical guideline for PDT in acne treatment. To propose up-to-date, evidence-based and practical recommendations on application of ALA-PDT for acne vulgaris, dermatologists and PDT experts from the Photodynamic Therapy Research Center of the CMA and Photodynamic Therapy Rehabilitation Training Center of CARD achieved consensus and guidelines based on careful evaluation of published literature, expert opinions and experience. ALA-PDT plays a therapeutic role in all four major pathogenesis of acne, and is suitable for moderate to severe acne and scar-prone acne, especially for patients who cannot tolerate or refused systemic antibiotics and isotretinoin. The efficacy and adverse reactions of ALA-PDT are closely related to therapeutic parameters including ALA concentration, incubation time, light source and dosage. Proper pretreatment helps to improve transdermal absorption of ALA and enhances its efficacy. We reviewed and proposed recommended protocols for four PDT procedures including conventional PDT (C-PDT), modified painless PDT (M-PDT), intense pulsed light PDT (IPL-PDT) and daylight PDT (DL-PDT). M-PDT with lower ALA concentration (3-5%), shorter incubation time (30 mins), and lower dose but prolonged illumination (630nm, 40-60 mW/cm2, 150 J/cm2) can improve lesions of moderate to severe acne vulgaris effectively with minimal pain and easier manipulation, and thus was recommended by Chinese dermatologists. Lastly, management of adverse reactions were addressed.

Abstract
Most land plants associate with arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi to secure mineral nutrient acquisition, especially that of phosphorus. A phosphate starvation response (PHR)-centered network regulates AM symbiosis. Here, we identified 520 direct target genes for the rice transcription factor OsPHR1/2/3 during AM symbiosis using transcriptome deep sequencing and DNA affinity purification sequencing. These genes were involved in strigolactone biosynthesis, transcriptional reprogramming, and bidirectional nutrient exchange. Moreover, we identified the receptor-like kinase, Arbuscule Development Kinase 1 (OsADK1), as a new target of OsPHR1/2/3. Electrophoretic mobility shift assays and transactivation assays showed that OsPHR2 can bind directly to the P1BS elements within the OsADK1 promoter to activate its transcription. OsADK1 appeared to be required for mycorrhizal colonization and arbuscule development. In addition, hydroponic experiments suggested that OsADK1 may be involved in plant Pi starvation responses. Our findings validate a role for OsPHR1/2/3 as master regulators of mycorrhizal-related genes involved in various stages of symbiosis, and uncover a new RLK involved in AM symbiosis and plant Pi starvation responses.

Abstract
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Deep Space Quantum Link mission concept enables a unique set of science experiments by establishing robust quantum optical links across extremely long baselines. Potential mission configurations include establishing a quantum link between the Lunar Gateway moon-orbiting space station and nodes on or near the Earth. This publication summarizes the principal experimental goals of the Deep Space Quantum Link. These goals, identified through a multi-year design study conducted by the authors, include long-range teleportation, tests of gravitational coupling to quantum states, and advanced tests of quantum nonlocality.

Abstract
RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES A convolutional neural network (CNN) model for the diagnosis of active pulmonary tuberculosis (APTB) and community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) using chest radiographs (CRs) was constructed and verified based on transfer learning. MATERIALS AND METHODS CRs of 1247 APTB cases, 1488 CAP cases and 1247 normal cases were collected. All CRs were randomly divided into training set (1992 cases), validation set (1194 cases) and test set (796 cases) by stratified sampling in 5:3:2 radio. After normalization of CRs, the convolution base of pre-trained CNN (VGG16) model on ImageNet dataset was used to extract features, and the grid search was used to determine the optimal classifier module, which was added to the convolution base for transfer learning. After the training, the model with the highest accuracy of the validation set was selected as the optimal model to verify in the test set and calculate the accuracy of the model. RESULTS The accuracy of validation set in the 63rd epochs was the highest, which was 0.9430, and the corresponding Categorical crossentropy was 0.1742. The accuracy of the training set was 0.9428, and the Categorical crossentropy was 0.1545. When the optimal model was applied to the test set, the accuracy was 0.9447, and the Categorical crossentropy was 0.1929. CONCLUSION The transfer learning-based CNN model has good classification performance in the diagnosis of APTB, CAP and normal patients using CRs.

Abstract
Objective: To describe and compare blood glucose levels in adults aged 18 years old and above in China and explore the relationship between BMI and waist circumference with blood glucose. Methods: China Chronic Disease and Risk Factor Surveillance were conducted in 298 counties/districts in China in 2018, covering 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities). A multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method selected permanent residents aged 18 years and above. Information on demographics, behavior-related risk factors, BMI, waist circumference, and blood glucose were collected through a face-to-face questionnaire, physical measurement, and laboratory examination. After complex weighting of data, they described the blood glucose levels of people with different characteristics and explored the relationship of BMI and waist circumference with blood glucose by multiple linear regression model analysis. Results: A total of 177 816 adults were included in the study. The average fasting blood glucose and average glycosylated hemoglobin were (5.73±1.46) mmol/L and (5.37±0.83) %, with people aged 60 years old and above group highest than that of other, with males higher than females (P<0.001); and urban was higher slightly than rural for the average of average glycosylated hemoglobin (P<0.001). The average fasting blood glucose and average glycosylated hemoglobin increased with increased BMI and waist circumference (P<0.001). Results from multiple linear regression model analysis showed that: 1) for each increase in BMI unit and waist circumference, the fasting glucose levels increased by 0.019 mmol/L and 0.008 mmol/L (all P<0.001) in those not diagnosed with diabetes, 2) by 0.021 mmol/L (P=0.163) and 0.014 mmol/L (P=0.004) in those newly detected as diabetes, and 3) by 0.028 mmol/L (P=0.088) and 0.023 mmol/L (P<0.001) in those self-reported as having been diagnosed as diabetes, respectively. However, glycosylated hemoglobin levels increased: 1) by 0.015% and 0.006% in those not diagnosed as diabetes (all P<0.001), 2) by 0.050% and 0.019% in those newly detected as diabetes (all P<0.001), and 3) by 0.033% and 0.019% in those self-reported as having been diagnosed as diabetes (all P<0.001), respectively. These associations with waist circumference were more robust than with BMI. Conclusions: Adults not diagnosed with diabetes with abnormal BMI or waist circumference are the key population for prevention and control. Measures improving the awareness rate of waist circumference should be taken to maintain average blood glucose in various groups.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the status of measuring the blood glucose among Chinese residents aged 18 years and above and to provide a scientific basis for evaluating the Healthy China Initiative. Methods: China Chronic Disease and Risk Factor Surveillance were conducted in 298 counties/districts in China in 2018, covering 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities). A multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method selected permanent residents aged 18 years and above. Questionnaires collected demographic characteristics, blood glucose measurements, and significant chronic disease prevalence. Body measurements were conducted to collect body height, weight, and waist circumference; Fasting venous blood was collected from participants to measure FPG before OGTT-2 h was obtained among participants without a self-reported history of diagnosed diabetes. The analysis included 177 904 residents aged 18 and above. After being weighed, the blood glucose measurement rates of adults in different groups were compared. Results: Among adults who had not been diagnosed with diabetes, The blood glucose measurement rates of regular, prediabetes, and newly detected elevated blood glucose within 12 months were 32.0% (95%CI: 30.5%-33.5%), 39.5% (95%CI: 37.4%-41.6%) and 43.8% (95%CI: 41.0%-46.4%), respectively. The measurement rates were higher in females than males; urban was higher than rural. The blood glucose rates increased with age, education, and BMI. These differences were significant (P<0.05). Among the adults with diabetes, the blood glucose measurement rate within six months was 89.6% (95%CI: 88.4%-90.8%); the measurement rate was higher in females than in males and higher in the west than in east and central regions of China, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Among adults in the study who did not have 1 or 2 or ≥3 major chronic diseases, the blood glucose measurement rates within six months were 19.6% (95%CI: 18.4%-20.7%), 41.8% (95%CI: 40.1%-43.5%), 58.9% (95%CI:57.0%-60.7%),71.9% (95%CI: 69.0%-74.9%), respectively. The blood glucose measurement rate was on the rise and increased with the number of comorbidities (P<0.001). The blood glucose measurement rate of adults who did not have 1 or 2 major chronic diseases was higher in urban areas than in rural areas. The blood glucose rates increased with age, education, and BMI and the differences were significant (P<0.05). The blood glucose measurement rate of adults with ≥3 major chronic diseases was higher in females than in males (P<0.001), and there was no difference among other groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: It is necessary to promote blood glucose measurement in residents aged 18 years and above in China. Relevant departments should strengthen the publicity and education to promote regular blood glucose measurement for high-risk populations to improve the efficiency of preventing and treating diabetes and its complications.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the awareness of weight and waist circumference and their influencing factors among residents aged ≥18 years in China and provide a reference for the development of relevant prevention and treatment policies and evaluation of intervention effects. Methods: We selected 298 counties (districts) from the 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) which participated in the 2018 China Chronic Disease and Risk Factor Surveillance program and included 194 779 permanent residents aged ≥18 years. To obtain the demographic characteristics of the study population, we used a multi-stage stratified whole-group random sampling method, questionnaires, and physical measurements. In this study, 179 045 people who completed the survey and had complete information on weight and waist circumference awareness were used as the study subjects. The weight awareness rate and waist circumference awareness rate were calculated by gender stratification, age, urban-rural, and education level groups. A multi-factor logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors related to weight and waist circumference awareness of residents aged ≥18 years. Results: The weight awareness rate of adult residents in China in 2018 was 45.4% (95%CI: 41.9%-48.9%), higher among men [46.2% (95%CI: 42.5%-49.8%)] than women [44.6% (95%CI: 41.1%-48.2%)], and in urban areas [54.3% (95%CI: 49.3%-59.3%)]. The highest weight awareness rate appeared in residents with low BMI grouping [49.9% (95%CI: 44.3%-55.6%)], and the weight awareness rate in residents with undiagnosed central obesity, hypertension, and diabetes was higher than that of residents with diagnosed diabetes, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The waist circumference awareness rate of adult residents was 11.6% (95%CI: 9.7%-13.4%), higher in women [12.8% (95%CI: 10.8%-14.8%)] than in men [10.3% (95%CI: 8.6%-12.0%)], higher in urban [14.6% (95%CI: 11.7%-17.4%)] than in rural [8.3% (95%CI: 6.5%-10.2%)], and the waist circumference awareness rate was higher among residents with confirmed diabetes than those with undiagnosed diabetes, with statistically significant differences (P=0.020). The difference was statistically significant (P<0.001). The weight and waist circumference awareness rate increased with education level and annual per capita household income. Multi-factor logistic regression analysis suggested that urban, highly educated, high per capita annual household income and health check-up residents may have higher weight and waist circumference awareness rates among adult residents in China. Conclusion: Less than half of the adult residents in China know their weight status, and only about one-tenth know their waist circumference. Rural residents, those with low education levels and low annual per capita household income, and those who are obese need to be given prioritized attention. The relevant government departments should strengthen the popularization of the importance of weight and waist circumference on health and improve the awareness of our residents about their waist circumference and weight.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the blood pressure measurement of Chinese adult residents in 2018 and provide a scientific basis for early detection and intervention of hypertension. Methods: In 2018, China Chronic Disease and Risk Factor Surveillance were conducted in 298 counties (districts) of 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) across the country, using a multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method to survey permanent residents aged 18 years and above. We selected 184 509 people and carried out a face-to-face questionnaire survey and body measurement method to collect demographic data, major chronic diseases, and blood pressure measurement information of the survey subjects. Blood glucose and blood lipid-related indicators were obtained by laboratory testing. There were 170 551 adult residents included in the study after excluding abnormal and missing data for key variables. After complex weighting, blood pressure detection rates and detection times in people with different blood pressure levels and other diseases were analyzed. SAS 9.4 software was used to perform the χ2-test and trend test. Results: Among adult residents in China, the proportions of those with normal blood pressure, commonly recognized 'high' blood pressure, and newly detected hypertension who had their blood pressure tested within three months were 44.4%, 50.4%, and 52.6%, respectively. The proportions all appeared higher in women than in men (all P<0.05), in urban than in rural areas (all P<0.05), and showed an increasing trend with age (all P<0.001); The proportion of these three populations who had never had their blood pressure measured was 27.6%, 24.2%, and 23.5% respectively. The proportion of people with diagnosed hypertension who had their blood pressure tested within seven days was 44.0%, 51.4% in urban areas, higher than 37.7% in rural areas (P<0.001), and the proportion of people who had their blood pressure tested increased with education, per capita annual income and BMI (all P<0.001). Conclusions: The behavior of regular self-monitoring of blood pressure among adult residents in China still needs to be improved, especially among men and rural areas. Relevant health promotion and education should be strengthened. More targeted policies and measures should be developed to improve blood pressure measurement behavior in people with normal high blood pressure and other high-risk groups to control elevated blood pressure effectively.

Abstract
Bismuth-based catalysts exhibit excellent activity and selectivity for the electroreduction of carbon dioxide (CO2). However, single-component bismuth-based catalysts are not satisfactory for the electrochemical reduction of CO2 to formic acid, mainly due to their high hydrogen production, low electrical conductivity, and small catalytic current density. Herein, we used a coordination strategy to recombine Bi and In at the molecular level to form Bi/In bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), which were then calcined to obtain MOF-derived Bi/In bimetallic oxide nanoparticles embedded in carbon networks. Thanks to the synergistic effect of bimetallic components, high specific surface area, suitable pore size distribution, and high electrical conductivity of the carbon network, the material exhibits excellent activity and selectivity for electroreduction of CO2 to formate. In H-type electrolyzers, the formate Faradaic efficiency reaches 91% at -0.9 V (vs RHE) and does not decrease significantly within 48 h. In situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy confirms the reaction intermediates and reveals that CO2 electroreduction is dominant by the *OCHO pathway.

Abstract
AIM To investigate the ability of a T2-weighted (W) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based radiomics signature to differentiate solid non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) from small-cell lung carcinoma (SCLC). MATERIALS AND METHODS The present retrospective study enrolled 152 eligible patients (NSCLC = 125, SCLC = 27). All patients underwent MRI using a 3 T scanner and radiomics features were extracted from T2W MRI. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) logistic regression model was used to identify the optimal radiomics features for the construction of a radiomics model to differentiate solid NSCLC from SCLC. Threefold cross validation repeated 10 times was used for model training and evaluation. The conventional MRI morphology features of the lesions were also evaluated. The performance of the conventional MRI morphological features, and the radiomics signature model and nomogram model (combining radiomics signature with conventional MRI morphological features) was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. RESULTS Five optimal features were chosen to build a radiomics signature. There was no significant difference in age, gender, and the largest diameter. The radiomics signature and conventional MRI morphological features (only pleural indentation and lymph node enlargement) were independent predictive factors for differentiating solid NSCLC from SCLC. The area under the ROC curves (AUCs) for MRI morphological features, and the radiomics model, and nomogram model was 0.69, 0.85, and 0.90 (ROC), respectively. CONCLUSIONS The T2W MRI-based radiomics signature is a potential non-invasive approach for distinguishing solid NSCLC from SCLC.

Abstract
Introduction Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) causes immune repression and intercurrent infections in pigs, resulting in a huge economic loss to the pig breeding industry. Additionally, the spread of PCV2 in pig farms can pollute the living environment of the residents in the farm’s vicinity, which increases the rate of infections. Therefore, rapid and sensitive detection methods are needed for disease prevention and timely environmental cleaning. Methods This research describes a highly sensitive sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) that utilizes gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) in a functional, specific antibody labeled probe for the detection of PCV2. Due to their high specific surface area and histocompatibility, AuNPs were used as carriers of HRP labeled anti-PCV2 antibodies to amplify the detection signal. Results Compared to conventional sandwich ELISA procedures, this method resulted in higher sensitivity (51-fold) and a shorter assay time with a limit of detection of 195 TCID50/mL. The cross-reactivity assay demonstrated that this assay was PCV2 specific. Conclusion The amplified Ab (HRP) labeled AuNPs probe provides a sensitive analytical approach for the determination of the traces of the PCV2 antigen in early diagnosis.

Abstract
Background Injury to the external iliac artery can have serious consequences and can be extremely challenging for surgeons. Here, we report a patient with bizarre disconnection of the external iliac artery during a laparoscopic operation. Case presentation On May 27, 2020, during a laparoscopic pelvic lymphadenectomy operation to treat endometrial stromal sarcoma, we encountered an unusual anatomy: abnormal disconnection of the left external iliac artery in a 26-year-old female patient. The proximal and distal ends of the left external iliac artery demonstrated old narrowing without active bleeding, and the distance between the two disconnected ends was more than 3 cm. The scenario was surprising to all the staff in the operating theater. After a comprehensive assessment of skin temperature, arterial pulsation and arterial blood flow, a multidisciplinary team determined that collateral circulation of the left lower limb had been established and could meet the blood supply of the lower limbs, which was also confirmed three times by computed tomography angiography and Doppler ultrasound of the blood vessels in the abdomen and lower limbs. Sixteen months after the operation, the patient had no obvious abnormality, and the daily activities of the left lower limb were not affected. Follow-up after treatment for the patient is still in progress. Conclusions We describe the details of the whole case of disconnection of the external iliac artery. We hope to summarize the experience and lessons learned through this case and a relevant literature review to improve the safety and orderliness of our future clinical work.

Abstract
Numerous serological detection kits are being rapidly developed and approved for screening and diagnosing suspected coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases. However, cross-reactivity between pre-existing antibodies against other coronaviruses and the captured antigens in these kits can affect detection accuracy, emphasizing the necessity for identifying highly specific antigen fragments for antibody detection. Thus, we performed a conservation and specificity analysis of the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) nucleocapsid (N) protein. We also integrated various B-cell epitope prediction methods to obtain possible dominant epitope regions for the N protein, analyzed the differences in serological antibody levels for different epitopes using ELISA, and identified N protein epitopes for IgG and IgM with high-specificity. The SARS-CoV-2 N protein showed low mutation rates and shared the highest amino acid similarity with SARS-CoV; however, it differed substantially from other coronaviruses. Tests targeting the SARS-CoV-2 N protein produce strong positive results in patients recovering from SARS-CoV. The N18-39 and N183-197 epitopes for IgG and IgM detection, respectively, can effectively overcome cross-reactivity, and even exhibit good specificity between SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV. The antibody levels detected with these were consistent with those detected using the complete N protein. These findings provide a basis for serological diagnosis and determining the kinetics of SARS-CoV-2 antibody detection in patients.

Abstract
Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi form a mutual association with the majority of land plants, including most angiosperms of the dicotyledon and monocotyledon lineages. The symbiosis is based upon bidirectional nutrient exchange between the host and symbiont that occurs between inner cortical cells of the root and branched AM hyphae called arbuscules that develop within these cells. Lipid transport and its regulation during the symbiosis have been intensively investigated in dicotyledon plants, especially legumes. Here, we characterize OsRAM2 and OsRAM2L, homologs of Medicago truncatula RAM2, and found that plants defective in OsRAM2 were unable to be colonized by AM fungi and showed impaired colonization by Magnaporthe oryzae. The induction of OsRAM2 and OsRAM2L is dependent on OsRAM1 and the common symbiosis signaling pathway pathway genes CCaMK and CYCLOPS, while overexpression of OsRAM1 results in increased expression of OsRAM2 and OsRAM2L. Collectively, our data show that the function and regulation of OsRAM2 is conserved in monocot and dicot plants and reveals that, similar to mutualistic fungi, pathogenic fungi have recruited RAM2-mediated fatty acid biosynthesis to facilitate invasion.[Formula: see text] Copyright © 2022 The Author(s). Abstract
Pulmonary fibrosis in general is the final common outcome of various interstitial lung diseases. In recent years, the incidence of pulmonary fibrosis has been rising with poor prognosis. 6-gingerol is deemed as a functional polyphenol of ginger. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of 6-gingerol, on pulmonary fibrosis. Mice were randomly divided into four groups: control, bleomycin, bleomycin + 6-gingerol 100 mg/kg, bleomycin + 6-gingerol 250 mg/kg, and the survival rates of the groups were recorded. Pathological and fibrotic changes in the lungs were identified by H&E and Masson staining, respectively. The levels of hydroxyproline and protein deposited in lung tissues were then, respectively, determined by colorimetry and western blotting. Subsequently, the proportion of cells and inflammatory factors in the alveolar lavage fluid were estimated. Following the identification of the possibility of Sirtuin1 (SIRT1) in the pharmacological mechanism through molecular docking and western blotting, human embryonic lung fibroblasts MRC-5 were treated with TGF-β1 and SIRT1 inhibitor to study the role of SIRT1 in the regulatory effect of 6-gingerol. From the results, 6-gingerol was found to increase the survival rate of mice and reduce lung pathology and fibrosis in mice. And, it significantly reduced the levels of hydroxyproline and the proteins deposited in lung tissues. Moreover, the number of neutrophils, basophils, monocytes, and the levels of inflammatory factors in the alveolar lavage fluid were also reduced. SIRT1 inhibitor blocked the function of 6-gingerol to inhibit fibrosis. To sum up, 6-gingerol relieves pulmonary fibrosis via activating SIRT1. This finding expands the pharmacological effect of 6-gingerol, and it is expected to advance the development of treatments for pulmonary fibrosis.
