Abstract
We propose a two-dimensional array made of a double-layer of vertically separated graphene nanoribbons. The transfer matrix method and coupled mode theory are utilized to quantitatively depict the transfer properties of the system. We present a way to calculate the radiative and the intrinsic loss factors, combined with finite-difference time-domain simulation, conducting the complete analytical analysis of the unidirectional reflectionless phenomenon. By adjusting the Fermi energy and the vertical distance between two graphene nanoribbons, the plasmonic resonances are successfully excited, and the unique phenomena can be realized at the exceptional points. Our research presents the potential in the field of optics and innovative technologies to create advanced optical devices that operate in the mid-infrared range, such as terahertz antennas and reflectors.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality in the world. However, there are some patients who are not diagnosed early and correctly through routine methods because of inconspicuous or serious symptoms. This study aims to assess the diagnostic role of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) in COPD. METHODS We searched literature from electronic databases, after excluding non-COPD literature, the bibliometric analysis was performed, and VOSviewer software was used to represent the data analyzed. Literature evaluating the diagnostic test accuracy of lncRNA for COPD was eligible, and the QUADAS-2 checklist was used to evaluate the quality. The pooled sensitivity (SEN), specificity (SPE), diagnostic odds ratio (DOR), and summary receiver operating characteristic curve (sROC) were used to analyze the overall diagnostic performance. Subgroup and meta-regression analyses were performed to explore the heterogeneity, and a funnel plot was assessed for publication bias. Also, lncRNAs related to COPD were identified and explored for their potential biological function. RESULTS An increased annual growth rate of literature on this subject from 2016 focused on COPD, humans, RNA, and lncRNA. The meta-analysis enrolled 17 literature indicated that the SEN, SPE, and DOR differentiating COPD patients from normal controls (NCs) were 0.86 (95% CI [0.80, 0.90]), 0.78 (95% CI [0.67, 0.86]), and 21.59 (95% CI [11.39, 40.91]), respectively. Meanwhile, lncRNAs had the ability to distinguish acute exacerbations of COPD (AECOPD) patients from COPD; the SEN, SPE, and DOR were 0.75 (95% CI [0.62, 0.85]), 0.81 (95% CI [0.71, 0.89]), and 13.02 (95% CI [7.76, 21.85]), respectively. The area under the sROC were calculated to be greater than 0.8 at least. Subgroup and meta-regression analysis showed that the types of specimens and dysregulated lncRNAs might affect the diagnostic accuracy. The funnel plot showed there was a certain publication bias. 41 lncRNAs related to COPD were identified and mainly located in the nucleus and cytoplasm, associated with proliferation, invasion, and prognosis. These lncRNA-binding proteins were involved in the spliceosome, Rap1 signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, and so on. CONCLUSION LncRNA suggests potential diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for COPD patients.

Abstract
We report the first NMR and X-ray diffraction (XRD) structures of an unusual 13/11-helix (alternating i, i+1 {NH-O=C} and i, i+3 {C=O-H-N} H-bonds) formed by a heteromeric 1 : 1 sequence of α- and δ-amino acids, and demonstrate the application of this framework towards catalysis. Whilst intramolecular hydrogen bonds (IMHBs) are the clear driver of helix formation in this system, we also observe an apolar interaction between the ethyl residue of one δ-amino acid and the cyclohexyl group of the next δ-residue in the sequence that seems to stabilize one type of helix over another. To the best of our knowledge this type of additional stabilization leading to a specific helical preference has not been observed before. Critically, the helix type realized places the α-residue functionalities in positions proximal enough to engage in bifunctional catalysis as demonstrated in the application of our system as a minimalist aldolase mimic.

Abstract
BACKGROUND A method for simultaneous determination of six human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) is described. The HMOs include 2'-fucosyllactose (2'-FL, CAS number 41263-94-9), 3-fucosyllactose (3-FL, CAS number 41312-47-4), 6'-sialyllactose (6'-SL, CAS number 35890-39-2), 3'-sialyllactose (3'-SL, CAS number 35890-38-1), lacto-N-tetraose (LNT, CAS number 14116-68-8), and lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT, CAS number 13007-32-4). The method was designed to comply with the respective Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPR®; seeTable 1), respectively. OBJECTIVE The method is valid for six HMOs in infant formula and adult nutritional matrixes, including samples with intact protein, protein hydrolysates, elemental formulations free of intact protein, and rice flour over the ranges defined in the SMPR (seeTable 2). The method is not valid for determination of difucosyllactose (DFL/DiFL). METHOD For most samples, reconstitution with water followed by filtration. For products containing interferences (fructans and maltodextrins), hydrolysis with enzymes is used. After preparation, samples are analyzed using high-performance anion exchange chromatography with pulsed amperometric detection (HPAEC-PAD). The method provides for separation of six HMOs and other carbohydrates commonly found in infant formula and adult nutritional products (e.g., lactose, sucrose, and GOS). RESULTS This study includes data from multiple matrixes evaluated by multiple laboratories globally. RSDr ranged from 0.0068 to 4.8% RSDr, and spike recovery results ranged from 89.4 to 109%. Calibration fit optimal with a quadratic curve; alternately linear fit showed no statistically significant impact to data (when correlation passes). CONCLUSIONS This method was reviewed by the AOAC SPIFAN Expert Review Panel (ERP) and determined to meet the SMPRs for the six noted HMOs. HIGHLIGHTS The method was granted First Action Official MethodsSM status.

Abstract
PURPOSE Primary tumour resection (PTR) is still a selection for patients with low tumour burden and good condition, especially with conversion therapy purpose for colorectal liver-limited metastases (CRLMs). The objective was to evaluate whether pre-PTR chemotherapy could improve progression-free survival (PFS) for patients with asymptomatic synchronous unresectable CRLMs. PATIENTS AND METHODS Patients with asymptomatic synchronous unresectable CRLMs were randomly assigned to receive pre-PTR chemotherapy (arm A) or upfront PTR (arm B). Chemotherapy regimens of mFOLFOX6 plus cetuximab, mFOLFOX6 plus bevacizumab or mFOLFOX6 alone were chosen according to the RAS genotype. The primary end-point was PFS; secondary end-points included overall survival (OS), tumour response, disease control rate (DCR), liver metastases resection rate, surgical complications and chemotherapy toxicity. RESULTS Three hundred and twenty patients were randomly assigned to arm A (160 patients) and arm B (160 patients). Patients in arm A had significantly improved the median PFS compared with arm B (10.5 versus 9.1 months; P = 0.013). Patients in arm A also had significantly better DCR (84.4% versus 75.0%; P = 0.037). The median OS (29.4 versus 27.2 months; P = 0.058), objective response rate (ORR) (53.1% versus 45.0%; P = 0.146) and liver metastases resection rate (21.9% versus 18.1%; P = 0.402) were not significantly different. The Clavien-Dindo 3-4 complications post PTR (4.5% versus 3.8%, P = 0.759) and the incidence of grade 3/4 chemotherapy events (42.2% versus 40.4%, P = 0.744) reached no statistical significance. CONCLUSIONS For asymptomatic synchronous unresectable CRLMs, Pre-PTR chemotherapy improved the PFS compared with upfront PTR.

Abstract
The IMI project ConcePTION was launched to fill the knowledge gap of using medicines during pregnancy and lactation. To achieve this goal, several studies are being conducted, including the bioanalysis of amoxicillin in minipig plasma and milk. A high-throughput, robust and reliable liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry method was developed and validated according to FDA and EMA guidelines to determine the concentrations of amoxicillin in a large number of minipig plasma and milk samples. Chromatographic separation was achieved on a Luna® Omega Polar C18, 1.6 μm, 100 × 2.1 mm column, with a mobile phase consisting of 0.1% formic acid in water and acetonitrile. Mass spectrometry used in a positive ionization mode and the transitions m/z 366.1 → 349.2 was selected to monitor amoxicillin, while m/z 370.1 → 114.15 was selected for the stable isotope labelled internal standard. This method features a linear quantification range of 10 ng/mL - 10 μg/mL, recovery of not less than 94.1%, a single sample extraction method for both plasma and milk matrices, and an analysis runtime of 5 min.

Abstract
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common lymphoma in adults. This study aimed to determine the prognostic significance of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-related genes in DLBCL. ER stress-related genes were obtained from the molecular signatures database. Gene expression data and clinical outcomes from the gene expression omnibus and TCGA datasets were collected, and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened out. Gene ontology enrichment analysis, the kyoto encyclopaedia of genes and genomes pathway analysis, and geneset enrichment analysis were used to analyse the possible biological function of ER stress-related DEGs in DLBCL. Protein-protein interaction network construction using the STRING online and hub genes were identified by cytoHubba on Cytoscape software. The significant prognosis-related genes were screened, and the differential expression was validated. The immune microenvironment assessment of significant genes were evaluated. Next, the nomogram was built using univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis. 26 ER stress-related DEGs were screened. Functional enrichment analysis showed them to be involved in the regulation of the endoplasmic reticulum mainly. NUPR1 and TRIB3 were identified as the most significant prognostic-related genes by comparison with the GSE10846, GSE11318, and TCGA datasets. NUPR1 was correlated with a good prognosis and immune infiltration in DLBCL; on the other hand, high expression of TRIB3 significantly correlated with a poor prognosis, which was an independent prognostic factor for DLBCL. In summary, we identified NUPR1 and TRIB3 as critical ER stress-related genes in DLBCL. NUPR1 might be involved in immune infiltration in DLBCL, and TRIB3 might serve as a potential therapeutic target and prognostic factor in DLBCL.

Abstract
Objective: We aimed to explore the correlations between and possible mechanisms of common environmental endocrine disruptors, phthalates, and ovarian dysfunction in endometriosis. Methods: Subjects were included in the case group (n = 107) who were diagnosed with endometriosis by postoperative pathology in Fujian Maternal and Child Hospital from February 2018 to February 2021, and the women who were excluded from endometriosis by surgery were as the control group (n = 70). The demographic information of the subjects were evaluated by questionnaire, and the clinical characteristics were evaluated by medical records and 3-year follow-up results. Gas chromatography‒mass spectrometry was used to quantify 10 metabolites of phthalates, including dimethyl ortho-phthalate (DMP), mono-n-methyl phthalate (MMP), dioctyl ortho-phthalate (DEP), mono-ethyl phthalate (MEP), di-n-butyl ortho-phthalate (DBP), mono-butyl phthalate (MBP), benzylbutyl phthalate (BBzP), mono-benzyl; phthalate (MBzP), diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and mono-ethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP), in the urine samples of the subjects. Furthermore, a total of 54 SD rats were exposed to DEHP 0, 5, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2000, and 3,000 mg/kg/day for 2 weeks. The SD rats' body weight, oestrus cycle changes, and serum anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) levels were evaluated. After sacrifice, the mass index of the rat uterus and bilateral ovaries were calculated. Finally, bioinformatics analysis of rat ovarian tissues was performed to explore the possible mechanism. SPSS 24.0 (IBM, United States) was used for data analysis. p-value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The human urinary levels of DMP (p < 0.001), MMP (p = 0.001), DEP (p = 0.003), MEP (p = 0.002), DBP (p = 0.041), MBP (p < 0.001), BBzP (p = 0.009), DEHP (p < 0.001), and MEHP (p < 0.001) were significantly higher in women with endometriosis than in controls. Notably, DEHP was a significant risk factor for endometriosis (OR: 11.0, 95% CI: 5.4-22.6). The area under the ROC curve increased when multiple phthalates were diagnosed jointly, reaching 0.974 as the highest value, which was helpful for the diagnosis of endometriosis. In vivo experiments showed that after DEHP exposure in rats, the mass index of the ovary and uterus decreased in a dose-dependent manner; the oestrus cycle of SD rats was irregularly prolonged and disordered; and the serum AMH level was negatively correlated with the DEHP exposure dose (Rho = -0.8, p < 0.001). Bioinformatics analysis of rat ovarian tissues showed that seven genes involved in the steroid biosynthesis pathway were upregulated and may play a negative role in ovarian function. Conclusion: Exposure to phthalates, especially DEHP, is associated with the occurrence of endometriosis and affects women's reproductive prognosis and ovarian function. The steroid biosynthesis pathway may be related to ovarian dysfunction. The detection of phthalate in urine may become a new biological target for the diagnosis of endometriosis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To carry out prenatal diagnosis and genetic analysis for a fetus with disorders of sex development (DSDs). METHODS A fetus with DSDs who was identified at the Shenzhen People's Hospital in September 2021 was selected as the study subject. Combined molecular genetic techniques including quantitative fluorescence PCR (QF-PCR), multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA), chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA), quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR), as well as cytogenetic techniques such as karyotyping analysis and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) were applied. Ultrasonography was used to observe the phenotype of sex development. RESULTS Molecular genetic testing suggested that the fetus had mosaicism of Yq11.222qter deletion and X monosomy. Combined with the result of cytogenetic testing, its karyotype was determined as mos 45,X[34]/46,X,del(Y)(q11.222)[61]/47,X,del(Y)(q11.222),del(Y)(q11.222)[5]. Ultrasound examination suggested hypospadia, which was confirmed after elective abortion. Combined the results of genetic testing and phenotypic analysis, the fetus was ultimately diagnosed with DSDs. CONCLUSION This study has applied a variety of genetic techniques and ultrasonography to diagnose a fetus with DSDs with a complex karyotype.

Abstract
Macrocyclic molecule-based host-guest systems, which provide contributions for the design and construction of functional supramolecular structures, have gained increasing attention in recent years. In particular, platinum(II) metallacycle-based host-guest systems provide opportunities for chemical scientists to prepare novel materials with various functions and structures due to the well-defined shapes and cavity sizes of platinum(II) metallacycles. However, the research on platinum(II) metallacycle-based host-guest systems has received less attention. In this article, we demonstrate the host-guest complexation between a platinum(II) metallacycle and a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon molecule, naphthalene. Taking advantage of metallacycle-based host-guest interactions and the dynamic covalent chemistry in the formation of reversible Pt coordination bonds, a [2]rotaxane is efficiently prepared by employing a template-directed clipping procedure. The [2]rotaxane is further applied to the fabrication of an efficient light-harvesting system with multi-step energy transfer process. This work comprises an important supplement to macrocycle-based host-guest systems and demonstrates a strategy for efficient production of well-defined mechanically interlocked molecules with practical values.

Abstract
AIMS Clear roles and mechanisms in explaining gut microbial dysbiosis and microbial metabolites short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) alterations in chronic cerebral ischemic pathogenesis have yet to be explored. In this study, we investigated chronic cerebral hypoperfusion (CCH)-induced gut microbiota and metabolic profiles of SCFAs as well as the effects and mechanisms of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) and SCFAs treatment on CCH-induced hippocampal neuronal injury. METHODS Bilateral common carotid artery occlusion (BCCAo) was used to establish the CCH model. Gut microbiota and SCFAs profiles in feces and hippocampus were evaluated by 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. RNA sequencing analysis was performed in hippocampal tissues. The potential molecular pathways and differential genes were verified through western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and ELISA. Cognitive function was assessed via the Morris water maze test. Ultrastructures of mitochondria and synapses were tested through a transmission electron microscope. RESULTS Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion induced decreased fecal acetic and propionic acid and reduced hippocampal acetic acid, which were reversed after FMT and SCFAs administration by changing fecal microbial community structure and compositions. Furthermore, in the hippocampus, FMT and SCFAs replenishment exerted anti-neuroinflammatory effects through inhibiting microglial and astrocytic activation as well as switching microglial phenotype from M1 toward M2. Moreover, FMT and SCFAs treatment alleviated neuronal loss and microglia-mediated synaptic loss and maintained the normal process of synaptic vesicle fusion and release, resulting in the improvement of synaptic plasticity. In addition, FMT and SCFAs supplement prevented oxidative phosphorylation dysfunction via mitochondrial metabolic reprogramming. The above effects of FMT and SCFAs treatment led to the inhibition of CCH-induced cognitive impairment. CONCLUSION Our findings highlight FMT and SCFAs replenishment would be the feasible gut microbiota-based strategy to mitigate chronic cerebral ischemia-induced neuronal injury.

Abstract
Benzoxazine resins are new thermosetting resins with excellent thermal stability, mechanical properties, and a flexible molecular design, demonstrating promise for applications in marine antifouling coatings. However, designing a multifunctional green benzoxazine resin-derived antifouling coating that combines resistance to biological protein adhesion, a high antibacterial rate, and low algal adhesion is still challenging. In this study, a high-performance coating with a low environmental impact was synthesized using urushiol-based benzoxazine containing tertiary amines as the precursor, and a sulfobetaine moiety into the benzoxazine group was introduced. This sulfobetaine-functionalized urushiol-based polybenzoxazine coating (poly(U-ea/sb)) was capable of clearly killing marine biofouling bacteria adhered to the coating surface and significantly resisting protein attachment. poly(U-ea/sb) exhibited an antibacterial rate of 99.99% against common Gram negative bacteria (e.g., Escherichia coli and Vibrio alginolyticus) and Gram positive bacteria (e.g., Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus sp.), with >99% its algal inhibition activity, and it effectively prevented microbial adherence. Here, a dual-function crosslinkable zwitterionic polymer, which used an "offensive-defensive" tactic to improve the antifouling characteristics of the coating was presented. This simple, economic, and feasible strategy provides new ideas for the development of green marine antifouling coating materials with excellent performance.

Abstract
Harmful algal blooms (HABs) producing toxic metabolites are increasingly threatening environmental and human health worldwide. Unfortunately, long-term process and mechanism triggering HABs remain largely unclear due to the scarcity of temporal monitoring. Retrospective analysis of sedimentary biomarkers using up-to-date chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques provide a potential means to reconstruct the past occurrence of HABs. By combining aliphatic hydrocarbons, photosynthetic pigments, and cyanotoxins, we quantified herein century-long changes in abundance, composition, and variability of phototrophs, particularly toxigenic algal blooms, in China's third largest freshwater Lake Taihu. Our multi-proxy limnological reconstruction revealed an abrupt ecological shift in the 1980s characterized by elevated primary production, Microcystis-dominated cyanobacterial blooms, and exponential microcystin production, in response to nutrient enrichment, climate change, and trophic cascades. The empirical results from ordination analysis and generalized additive models support climate warming and eutrophication synergy through nutrient recycling and their feedback through buoyant cyanobacterial proliferation, which sustain bloom-forming potential and further promote the occurrence of increasingly-toxic cyanotoxins (e.g., microcystin-LR) in Lake Taihu. Moreover, temporal variability of the lake ecosystem quantified using variance and rate of change metrics rose continuously after state change, indicating increased ecological vulnerability and declined resilience following blooms and warming. With the persistent legacy effects of lake eutrophication, nutrient reduction efforts mitigating toxic HABs probably be overwhelmed by climate change effects, emphasizing the need for more aggressive and integrated environmental strategies.

Abstract
Introduction Prostate cancer (PCa) is one of the most common malignant tumors of the male urogenital system; however, the underlying mechanisms remain largely unclear. This study integrated two cohort profile datasets to elucidate the potential hub genes and mechanisms in PCa. Methods and Results Gene expression profiles GSE55945 and GSE6919 were filtered from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database to obtain 134 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) (14 upregulated and 120 downregulated) in PCa. Gene Ontology and pathway enrichment were performed using the Database for Annotation, Visualization, and Integrated Discovery, showing that these DEGs were mainly involved in biological functions such as cell adhesion, extracellular matrix, migration, focal adhesion, and vascular smooth muscle contraction. The STRING database and Cytoscape tools were used to analyze protein-protein interactions and identify 15 hub candidate genes. Violin plot, boxplot, and prognostic curve analyses were performed using Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis, which identified seven hub genes, including upregulated expressed SPP1 and downregulated expressed MYLK, MYL9, MYH11, CALD1, ACTA2, and CNN1 in PCa compared with normal tissue. Correlation analysis was performed using the OmicStudio tools, which showed that these hub genes were moderately to strongly correlated with each other. Finally, quantitative reverse transcription PCR and western blotting were performed to validate the hub genes, showing that the abnormal expression of the seven hub genes in PCa was consistent with the analysis results of the GEO database. Discussion Taken together, MYLK, MYL9, MYH11, CALD1, ACTA2, SPP1, and CNN1 are hub genes significantly associated with PCa occurrence. These genes are abnormally expressed, leading to the formation, proliferation, invasion, and migration of PCa cells and promoting tumor neovascularization. These genes may serve as potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets in patients with PCa.

Abstract
Investigation of high-performance lasers monolithically grown on silicon (Si) could promote the development of silicon photonics in regimes other than the 1.3 -1.5 µm band. 980 nm laser, a widely used pumping source for erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) in the optical fiber communication system, can be used as a demonstration for shorter wavelength lasers. Here, we report continuous wave (CW) lasing of 980 nm electrically pumped quantum well (QW) lasers directly grown on Si by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). Utilizing the strain compensated InGaAs/GaAs/GaAsP QW structure as the active medium, the lowest threshold current obtained from the lasers on Si was 40 mA, and the highest total output power was near 100 mW. A statistical comparison of lasers grown on native GaAs and Si substrates was conducted and it reveals a somewhat higher threshold for devices on Si. Internal parameters, including modal gain and optical loss are extracted from experimental results and the variation on different substrates could provide a direction to further laser optimization through further improvement of the GaAs/Si templates and QW design. These results demonstrate a promising step towards optoelectronic integration of QW lasers on Si.

Abstract
(1) Background: To analyze the indications, graft survival, and graft failure-related risk factors of repeat penetrating keratoplasty (RPK) in children. (2) Methods: In this case series, children younger than 12 years who received RPK at Beijing Tongren Hospital were reviewed. The indications for RPK, postoperative complications, and graft survival were analyzed. The analysis of the potential variables associated with graft survival was performed using Cox proportional hazards regression. (3) Results: A total of 30 RPK eyes of 29 children were included in this study. The mean follow-up time was 26.98 ± 18.75 months. The most common indication for RPK was a vascularized corneal scar (86.67%). Postoperative complications occurred in 27 eyes (90%), including immune rejection (46.67%), epithelial defects (36.67%), and glaucoma (26.67%). About 60% of the regrafts remained clear one year after RPK, while the overall graft survival rate was 30% at the last visit. The most common cause of regraft failure was irreversible immune rejection (8/21). The significant risks of graft failure included an age of less than 60 months at surgery (p = 0.009), corneal vascularization (p = 0.018), and a postoperative epithelial defect (p = 0.037). (4) Conclusions: A vascularized corneal scar is the most common indication of RPK in children. Immune rejection is the most prevalent complication, and irreversible immune rejection always causes regraft failure.

Abstract
Understanding the history of microcystins (MCs) pollution in large lakes can help inform future lake management. We collected sediment cores from Lake Taihu to: investigate the long-term record of MCs (MC-LR, MC-YR, and MC-RR), explore the main environmental drivers of MCs, and assess their public health and ecological risks. Results showed that MCs content in all cores increased over time. The core from north Taihu had the highest MC concentrations, with an average total MCs (sum of MC-LR, MC-YR, and MC-RR = TMCs) content of (74.31±328.55) ng/g. The core from eastern Taihu showed the lowest average TMCs content of (2.91±3.95) ng/g. PCA showed that sediment MCs at the three sites were positively correlated with sediment chlorophyll-a. MC-LR and MC-YR in northern and western Taihu negatively correlated with both the sediment total organic carbon/sediment total nitrogen ratio (STOC/STN) and water nitrate (NO3--N) concentration, but three MC congeners at eastern Taihu showed positive correlations with water orthophosphate (PO43--P), NO3--N, and STOC/STN. Generalized additive model analysis at each site revealed that NO3--N was the main TMCs driver in northern and western Taihu where phytoplankton dominated, whereas PO43--P was the main TMCs driver in eastern Taihu where macrophytes dominated. At the whole lake scale, total phosphorus (TP) and PO43--P were the most important environmental drivers influencing MCs; TP explained 47.4%, 44.2%, and 47.6% while orthophosphate explained 34.8%, 31.2%, and 34.7% of the deviance on TMCs, MC-LR, and MC-YR, respectively. NO3--N also showed a strong effect on MCs variation, especially on MC-YR. Risk assessment showed that both ecological and public health risk has increased in recent years. We conclude that while control of phosphorus and nitrogen input should be a major focus for future lake management, lake zone-specific management strategies may also be important.

Abstract
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a subtype of breast cancer with poor outcome and lacks of approved targeted therapy. Overexpression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is found in more than 50% TNBC and is suggested as a driving force in progression of TNBC; however, targeting EGFR using antibodies to prevent its dimerization and activation shows no significant benefits for TNBC patients. Here we report that EGFR monomer may activate signal transducer activator of transcription-3 (STAT3) in the absence of transmembrane protein TMEM25, whose expression is frequently decreased in human TNBC. Deficiency of TMEM25 allows EGFR monomer to phosphorylate STAT3 independent of ligand binding, and thus enhances basal STAT3 activation to promote TNBC progression in female mice. Moreover, supplying TMEM25 by adeno-associated virus strongly suppresses STAT3 activation and TNBC progression. Hence, our study reveals a role of monomeric-EGFR/STAT3 signaling pathway in TNBC progression and points out a potential targeted therapy for TNBC.

Abstract
Clustering of earthquake magnitudes is still actively debated, compared to well-established spatial and temporal clustering. Magnitude clustering is not currently implemented in earthquake forecasting but would be important if larger magnitude events are more likely to be followed by similar sized events. Here we show statistically significant magnitude clustering present in many different field and laboratory catalogs at a wide range of spatial scales (mm to 1000 km). It is universal in field catalogs across fault types and tectonic/induced settings, while laboratory results are unaffected by loading protocol or rock types and show temporal stability. The absence of clustering can be imposed by a global tensile stress, although clustering still occurs when isolating to triggered event pairs or spatial patches where shear stress dominates. Magnitude clustering is most prominent at short time and distance scales and modeling indicates >20% repeating magnitudes in some cases, implying it can help to narrow physical mechanisms for seismogenesis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To evaluate the effects of Arginine-calcium carbonate (Arg-CaCO3) paste treatment of phosphorylated dentin on remineralizing and bonding performance during direct and indirect restorations under pulpal pressure. METHODS Under simulated pulpal pressure, dentin of healthy third molars were abraded and acid etched for 15s, then randomly divided into 4 groups: negative control group; Arg-CaCO3 group (1min); 2.5% Sodium trimetaphosphate (STMP) group (3min); S-A group, 2.5% STMP + Arg-CaCO3. After 24h, remineralization and dentin tubular occlusion were assessed by Attenuated total reflection fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), Micro-Raman spectroscopy, Vickers hardness, Field-emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and Energy X-ray dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The liquid environment was the simulated body fluid (SBF) permeated from dentin tubules due to pulpal pressure. Stick specimens prepared with self-etch dentin adhesive were tested for microtensile bond strength (μTBS) and interfacial silver nanoleakage on both immediate direct restoration and indirect restoration with a 7-day temporary period. Data were analyzed by the Kruskal-Wallis test, Mann-Whitney test, Welch ANOVA or one-way ANOVA and Tukey post hoc test (p < 0.05). RESULTS The pretreatment of 2.5% STMP with Arg-CaCO3 significantly increased relative mineral content by ATR-FTIR, Raman and FESEM-EDS, simultaneously enhancing dentin tubular occlusion (%) and mechanical property to the most considerable extent. Furthermore, the pretreatment significantly promoted the μTBS of indirect restoration and reduced nanoleakage after 7 days. CONCLUSIONS The application of Arg-CaCO3 paste on phosphorylated dentin could improve intra- and extra-tubular mineralization and the stability of adhesion interface. CLINICAL RELEVANCE Without exceeding the amount of conventional tooth preparation, combining 2.5% STMP with Arg-CaCO3 paste before the self-etch bonding system might be a promising clinical strategy to relieve dentin hypersensitivity and strengthen bonding performance efficiently and conveniently.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To determine the analgesic effect of flurbiprofen axetil (FBA) combined with half standard-dose opioids in patients undergoing primary unilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA). MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 100 patients undergoing primary TKA were randomly divided into two groups, namely a control group and an experimental group, with 50 patients in each group. All patients received the same dose of FBA in the form of a patient-controlled intravenous analgesia but in the control group this was combined with a standard-dose of opioids and in the experimental group with a half standard-dose of opioids. RESULTS A visual analogue scale, used to assess the level of pain 8 hours, 48 hours, and 5 days after TKA, showed that pain relief in the experimental group was equal to that in the control group (difference non-significant: p > 0.05). The knee flexion and extension activity in both groups reached target levels on the fifth day after TKA where differences were also not significant: p > 0.05. The incidence of nausea and vomiting after TKA in the experimental group was significantly less than in the control group (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION The analgesic effect of FBA in combination with half standard-dose opioids was similar to that of FBA in combination with conventional standard-dose opioids, but the incidence of adverse effects involving nausea/vomiting in the experimental group were significantly reduced.
