Abstract
Using a sample of 4.3×10^{5} η^{'}→ηπ^{0}π^{0} events selected from the ten billion J/ψ event dataset collected with the BESIII detector, we study the decay η^{'}→ηπ^{0}π^{0} within the framework of nonrelativistic effective field theory. Evidence for a structure at π^{+}π^{-} mass threshold is observed in the invariant mass spectrum of π^{0}π^{0} with a statistical significance of around 3.5σ, which is consistent with the cusp effect as predicted by the nonrelativistic effective field theory. After introducing the amplitude for describing the cusp effect, the ππ scattering length combination a_{0}-a_{2} is determined to be 0.226±0.060_{stat}±0.013_{syst}, which is in good agreement with theoretical calculation of 0.2644±0.0051.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Oenological tannins are commercial natural products extracted from different botanical sources, which were widely reported as prominent contributors to wine quality. Research on wine quality affected by tannins extracts promoted the development of new oenological products with low cost and high accessibility. In the present study, the structure and concentration of tannin in polyphenol extracts, as well as their correlation with astringency and the color of model wine, was investigated by UV spectrophotometer, HPLC, fluorescence quenching, sodium dodecylsulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, colorimeter and sensory evaluation. RESULTS Resource extracts from 16 of 44 plants were screened as wine oenological tannins, according to the total polyphenol and total flavanol, as well as the intensity of astringency and bitterness. Polyphenols extracted from grape seeds and green tea were more effective in increasing the wine astringency compared to other plant tannins. CONCLUSION Total flavanol content and tannin activity showed a strong correlation with wine astringency. Condensed tannins with mean degree of polymerization also exhibited strong color stability, and the concentrations of (-)-epigallocatechin were associated with the a* value, a negative qualitative factor for wine color. The present study provides new clues regarding the development of low-cost and highly accessible sources of polyphenol extracts and lays a theoretical foundation for the development of the oenological product. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Neoadjuvant therapy is recommended for locally advanced esophageal cancer, but the optimal strategy remains unclear. We aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) versus neoadjuvant chemotherapy (nCT) followed by minimally invasive esophagectomy (MIE) for locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). PATIENTS AND METHODS Eligible patients staged as cT3-4aN0-1M0 ESCC were randomly assigned (1 : 1) to the nCRT or nCT group stratified by age, cN stage, and centers. The chemotherapy, based on paclitaxel and cisplatin, was administered to both groups, while concurrent radiotherapy was added for the nCRT group; then MIE was carried out. The primary endpoint was 3-year overall survival. This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT03001596). RESULTS A total of 264 patients were eligible for the intention-to-treat analysis. By 30 November 2021, 121 deaths had occurred. The median follow-up was 43.9 months (interquartile range 36.6-49.3 months). The overall survival in the intention-to-treat population was comparable between the nCRT and nCT strategies [hazard ratio (HR) 0.82, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.58-1.18; P = 0.28], with a 3-year survival rate of 64.1% (95% CI 56.4% to 72.9%) versus 54.9% (95% CI 47.0% to 64.2%), respectively. There were also no differences in progression-free survival (HR 0.83, 95% CI 0.59-1.16; P = 0.27) and recurrence-free survival (HR 1.07, 95% CI 0.71-1.60; P = 0.75), although the pathological complete response in the nCRT group (31/112, 27.7%) was significantly higher than that in the nCT group (3/104, 2.9%; P < 0.001). Besides, a trend of lower risk of recurrence was observed in the nCRT group (P = 0.063), while the recurrence pattern was similar (P = 0.802). CONCLUSIONS NCRT followed by MIE was not associated with significantly better overall survival than nCT among patients with cT3-4aN0-1M0 ESCC. The results underscore the pending issue of the best strategy of neoadjuvant therapy for locally advanced bulky ESCC.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the effects of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) on neurobehavior and gut microbiota of arsenic-exposed offspring rats. Methods: In April 2021, Thirty-six SPF SD rats aged 8 weeks were seleted, rats were ranked by weight and divided into four groups according to randomized block design, namely control group, arsenic exposure group (As group) , arsenic+normal saline group (As+NaCl group) and As+FMT group, 6 females and 3 males in each group. Fecal microbiota fluid were provided by feces of rats in control group. Rats drank tap water containing 75 mg/L sodium arsenite for one week and then were caged together. The arsenic exposure was terminated until the pups were born. Female rats with vaginal plug were treated with fecal microbiota fluid via gavage during neurodevelopmental teratogenic window period. The volume of gavage was 1 ml/100 g with once every two days, for a total of three times. Weight alterations of offspring rats were recorded every week after weaning, and when offspring rats grew up for 6 weeks, Morris test and open field experiment was used to observe learning and memory abilities, as well as neurobehavioral performance of autonomous exploration and tension, respectively. 16S rDNA sequencing technology was used to detect microbiota diversities in fecal samples of rats in As group and As+FMT group. Results: Compared with the control group, the ratio of swimming distance and staying time in the target quadrant and the times of crossing the platform of rats in As group decreased significantly, and the motor distance, times entering central zone and the number of grid crossing of rats decreased significantly (P<0.05) . Compared with As group, the ratio of swimming distance in target quadrant, the motor distance in central zone and times entering central zone of rats in As+FMT group were evidently increased (P<0.05) . The analysis of fecal microbiota diversities showed that, at the phyla level, the relative abundance of Bacteroidetes in feces of rats in As+FMT group was higher than that in As group (68.34% vs 60.55%) , while the relative abundance of Firmicutes was lower than that in As group (28.02% vs 33.48%) . At the genus level, the relative abundance of Prevotella in As+FMT group was significantly higher than that in As group, becoming the dominant genus (42.08% vs 21.78%) . Additionally, compared with As group, a total of 22 genus were increased with 21 decreased genus in As+FMT group (P<0.05) . LEfSe analysis showed that dominant genuses in As+FMT group were Prevotella and UCG_005, and their relative abundance was significantly higher than that of As group (P<0.05) . Conclusion: FMT may alleviate the impaired learning and memory ability and anxiety like behavior of the offspring rats exposed to arsenic, and improve the disrupted gut microbiota.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES This study aimed to explore the joint effect of body mass index (BMI) and serum lipids levels on incident dementia. METHODS We prospectively followed up with 1,627 dementia-free community residents aged ≥60 for 5.7 years on average. At baseline, weight, and height were measured, and total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were detected in serum. Demographic characteristics were collected through questionnaires. Dementia was based on consensus diagnosis of neurologists and neuropsychologists using DSM-IV criteria. Additive Cox proportional model was used to assess the exposure-response relationship between BMI and serum lipid levels and dementia risk. Interactions and further classifications of BMI and serum lipid levels were further presented by bivariate surface models and decision-tree models. RESULTS The joint effects of TC with BMI, TG with BMI, and LDL-C with BMI on the risk of incident dementia shared a similar pattern, different from their independent exposure-response curves. The joint effect of HDL-C with BMI showed an S-surface but without statistical significance. Participants with TC<5.4 mmol/L and BMI<21 kg/m2 (Hazard Ratio(HR) 1.93, 95% Confidence Interval (CI) 1.05-3.53), TC<5.4 mmol/L and BMI≥21 kg/m2 (HR 1.73, 95% CI 1.09-2.72), and TC≥5.4 mmol/L and BMI<21 kg/m2 (HR 4.02, 95% CI 2.10-7.71) were identified to have the increased risk of incident dementia compared to those with TC≥5.4 mmol/L and BMI≥21 kg/m2. Participants with TG<1.7 mmol/L and BMI<21 kg/m2 had an increased risk of incident dementia compared to those with TG≥1.7 mmol/L and BMI≥21 kg/m2 (HR 1.98, 95%CI 1.17-3.3). Participants with LDL-C≥3.3 mmol/L and BMI<21 kg/m2 were identified to have an increased risk of incident dementia compared to those with LDL-C≥3.3 mmol/L and BMI≥21 kg/m2 (HR 3.33, 95%CI 1.64-6.78). CONCLUSIONS Our study showed that low BMI combined with low or high levels of serum lipids may increase the risk of dementia among older adults. This finding suggests the potential impacts of these two metabolic indexes on the risk of dementia.

Anatomical morphology of the aortic valve in Chinese aortic stenosis patients and clinical results after downsize strategy of transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Chin Med J (Engl) 2022; 135:2968-2975. [PMID: 36728213 PMCID: PMC10106152 DOI: 10.1097/cm9.0000000000002517] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [MESH Headings] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 05/15/2022] [Indexed: 02/03/2023] Open
Abstract
BACKGROUND The study aimed to describe the aortic valve morphology in Chinese patients underwent transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) for symptomatic severe aortic stenosis (AS), and the impact of sizing strategies and related procedural outcomes. METHODS Patients with severe AS who underwent TAVR were consecutively enrolled from 2012 to 2019. The anatomy and morphology of the aortic root were assessed. "Downsize" strategy was preformed when patients had complex morphology. The clinical outcomes of patients who performed downsize strategy were compared with those received annular sizing strategy. The primary outcome was device success rate, and secondary outcomes included Valve Academic Research Consortium-3 clinical outcomes variables based on 1-year follow-up. RESULTS A total of 293 patients were enrolled. Among them, 95 patients (32.4%) had bicuspid aortic valve. The calcium volume (Hounsfield Unit-850) of aortic root was 449.90 (243.15-782.15) mm 3 . Calcium is distributed mostly on the leaflet level. Downsize strategy was performed in 204 patients (69.6%). Compared with the patients who performed annular sizing strategy, those received downsize strategy achieved a similar device success rate (82.0% [73] vs . 83.3% [170], P = 0.79). Aortic valve gradients (downsize strategy group vs . annular sizing group, 11.28 mmHg vs. 11.88 mmHg, P = 0.64) and percentages of patients with moderate or severe paravalvular regurgitation 2.0% (4/204) vs . 4.5% (4/89), P = 0.21) were similar in the two groups at 30 days after TAVR. These echocardiographic results were sustainable for one year. CONCLUSIONS Chinese TAVR patients have more prevalent bicuspid morphology and large calcium volume of aortic root. Calcium is distributed mostly on the leaflet level. Compare with annular sizing strategy, downsize strategy provided a non-inferior device success rate and transcatheter heart valve hemodynamic performance in self-expanding TAVR procedure.

Study of the Semileptonic Decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e}. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 129:231803. Abstract
The study of the Cabibbo-favored semileptonic decay Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e} is reported using a 4.5 fb^{-1} data sample of e^{+}e^{-} annihilations collected at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600 GeV to 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fraction of the decay is measured to be B(Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e})=(3.56±0.11_{stat}±0.07_{syst})%, which is the most precise measurement to date. Furthermore, we perform an investigation of the internal dynamics in Λ_{c}^{+}→Λe^{+}ν_{e}. We provide the first direct comparisons of the differential decay rate and form factors with those predicted from lattice quantum chromodynamics (LQCD) calculations. Combining the measured branching fraction with a q^{2}-integrated rate predicted by LQCD, we determine |V_{cs}|=0.936±0.017_{B}±0.024_{LQCD}±0.007_{τ_{Λ_{c}}}.

Abstract
The radiative hyperon decay Λ→nγ is studied using (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector operating at BEPCII. The absolute branching fraction of the decay Λ→nγ is determined to be (0.832±0.038_{stat}±0.054_{syst})×10^{-3}, which is a factor of 2.1 lower and 5.6 standard deviations different than the previous measurement. By analyzing the joint angular distribution of the decay products, the first determination of the decay asymmetry α_{γ} is reported with a value of -0.16±0.10_{stat}±0.05_{syst}.

Abstract
Using a sample of (10.09±0.04)×10^{9} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring, a partial wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→γηη^{'} is performed. The first observation of an isoscalar state with exotic quantum numbers J^{PC}=1^{-+}, denoted as η_{1}(1855), is reported in the process J/ψ→γη_{1}(1855) with η_{1}(1855)→ηη^{'}. Its mass and width are measured to be (1855±9_{-1}^{+6}) MeV/c^{2} and (188±18_{-8}^{+3}) MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic, and its statistical significance is estimated to be larger than 19σ.

ANNALS OF TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE 2022; 10:1219. [PMID: 36544669 PMCID: PMC9761139 DOI: 10.21037/atm-22-5297] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [Track Full Text] [Download PDF] [Figures] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 10/11/2022] [Accepted: 11/15/2022] [Indexed: 11/23/2022]
Abstract
Background Discogenic low back pain (DLBP) is considered the most common type of chronic low back pain (CLBP). Sinuvertebral nerve block (SVNB) is a rapid and precise intervention performed under local anesthesia to treat DLBP induced CLBP. Thus, in this study, we aimed to explore the clinical efficacy of SVNB for DLBP. Methods We retrospectively included 32 DLBP patients from July 2020 and April 2021. Inclusion criteria: The patients had chronic pain, diagnosed as single-segment disc degeneration induced DLBP, and suffered from one-year ineffective conservative treatment. SVNB was performed and the patients were followed up at 3 and 7 days, and at 1 and 3 months after SVNB. The basic clinical characteristics, including age and gender, were collected. The measurements of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were assessed. Results The average age was 49.31±14.37 years, and females vs. males was 20 (62.50%) vs. 12 (37.50%). The preoperative VAS and ODI score were 5.75±1.41 and 32.59±21.56, respectively. The VAS score was reduced to 2.50±1.46, 2.63±1.60, 3.53±2.17, and 3.78±2.18 at 3 and 7 days, and 1 and 3 months after SVNB, respectively (P<0.05). The improvement rates in the VAS score were 56.52%, 54.34%, 38.61%, and 34.26% at 3 and 7 days, and 1 and 3 months after SVNB, respectively. 18 patients (56.25%) experienced varying degrees of pain recurrence within 3 months. The ODI score was reduced by 17.28±13.06, 16.84±13.51, 19.63±17.12, and 21.44±19.03 points at 3, 7 days and 1, 3 months after SVNB, respectively (P<0.05). At 3 day and 3 month after SVNB, the ODI scores of 22 patients (68.75%) and 20 patients (62.50%) decreased to ≤20, respectively. The ODI improvement rates were 46.98%, 48.33%, 39.80%, and 34.24% at 3, 7 days and 1, 3 months after SVNB, respectively. Conclusions We conducted a retrospective study of the clinical efficacy of SVNB for DLBP. As a rapid and cost-effective minimally invasive treatment, SVNB provided some assistance for the short-term pain relief and physical functional improvement of DLBP. SVNB could be a good choice for the treatment of DLBP.

Abstract
Using e^{+}e^{-} annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.32 fb^{-1} collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the decay D_{s}^{+}→K_{S}^{0}K^{+}π^{0} and determine the relative branching fractions and phases for intermediate processes. We observe an a_{0}-like state with mass of 1.817 GeV in its decay to K_{S}^{0}K^{+} for the first time. In addition, we measure the ratio {B[D_{s}^{+}→K[over ¯]^{*}(892)^{0}K^{+}]/B[D_{s}^{+}→K[over ¯]^{0}K^{*}(892)^{+}]} to be 2.35_{-0.23stat}^{+0.42}±0.10_{syst}. Finally, we provide a precision measurement of the absolute branching fraction B(D_{s}^{+}→K_{S}^{0}K^{+}π^{0})=(1.46±0.06_{stat}±0.05_{syst})%.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical effects of proximal ulnar artery perforator flap combined with iliac bone graft in the reconstruction of subtotal thumb or finger defects. Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted. From August 2016 to August 2019, 7 patients with thumb or finger defects caused by mechanical damage who met the inclusion criteria were admitted to Ruihua Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, including 6 males and 1 female, aged 46 to 58 years. Their length of fingers was repaired with iliac bone, with length of 2.0 to 3.0 cm. After the bone graft, the skin defect area of the affected finger ranged from 2.8 cm×2.2 cm to 6.0 cm×3.2 cm. Then the free proximal ulnar artery perforator flap with area of 3.0 cm×2.4 cm to 6.5 cm×3.5 cm was used to cover the wounds. The wounds in donor sites of iliac crest and flap were directly sutured. The survival of flap in one week post surgery and the donor site wound healing in 2 weeks post surgery were observed, respectively. During the follow-up, the appearance and sensory function of the affected finger, bone healing, and scar hypertrophy of wound in the donor site were observed and evaluated. At the last follow-up, the functional recovery of the affected finger was evaluated with trial standard for the evaluation of functions of the upper limbs of the Hand Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Association. Results: In one week post surgery, all the flaps survived. In 2 weeks post surgery, the iliac bone and the wounds in forearm donor site healed. During the follow-up of 5 to 13 months, the flap was good in appearance, without obvious pigmentation; the sensory recovery reached level S2 in 5 patients and S0 in 2 patients; all the grafted iliac bones were bony union without obvious resorption; the wounds in donor site healed well, with only mild scar formation. At the last follow-up, the shape of the reconstructed finger was close to the healthy finger, and the functional evaluation results were excellent in 3 cases and good in 4 cases. Conclusions: The use of proximal ulnar artery perforator flap combined with iliac bone graft to reconstruct subtotal thumb or finger can partially restore part of the appearance and function, with less damage to the donor site. It is a good choice for patients who have low expectations of appearance and function for the reconstructed finger.

Abstract
Hypermetropic anisometropia is often accompanied by visual fatigue, and the higher hyperopia is prone to form amblyopia. To avoid Wear glasses fatigue, the higher hyperopia is often under corrected and regulative spasm. Pseudomyopia may occur in the early stage after refractive surgery. In this case, autologous corneal stromal lenticule transplantation was used to correct hyperopia. After standard visual cognitive training, the Uncorrected Distance Visual Acuity was rapidly improved, and the binocular vision was normal.

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the relationship of serum uric acid with prediabetes and newly detected type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in adults. Methods: Data were obtained from the baseline investigation of Songjiang Peak-Plan cohort. According to the baseline fasting plasma glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin, the eligible subjects were divided into normal blood sugar group, prediabetes group, and newly detected T2DM group. Unconditional logistic regression model was used to explore the effect of serum uric acid level on prediabetes and newly detected T2DM, and restricted cubic spline (RCS) function was used to explore the nonlinear dose-response relationship of serum uric acid level with the prevalence of prediabetes and newly detected T2DM. Results: A total of 30 375 subjects were included in the analysis, with an average age of (55.36±11.52) years, and 60.2% (18 299) of them were women. The baseline survey found that the prevalence of prediabetes was 38.6% (11 739 cases), and the prevalence of newly detected T2DM was 6.6% (1 992 cases). Logistic regression analysis showed that, in women, for every 10µmol/L increase in serum uric acid, the risk of developing prediabetes and T2DM s increased by 2.4% (OR=1.024, 95%CI: 1.018-1.030), and 1.5% (OR=1.015, 95%CI: 1.005-1.025), respectively; in men, for every 10 µmol/L increase in serum uric acid, the risk of developing prediabetes and T2DM decreased by 0.8% (OR=0.992, 95%CI: 0.987-0.998) and 5.0% (OR=0.950, 95%CI: 0.939-0.960), respectively. The RCS function showed that the serum uric acid level showed a nonlinear dose-response relationship with newly detected T2DM (P=0.017), but not with prediabetes (P=0.670) in women and showed a nonlinear dose-response relationship with both prediabetes (P=0.040) and newly detected T2DM (P<0.001) in men. Conclusions: Adult women are at increased risk of prediabetes and newly detected T2DM with increase of serum uric acid level, and adult men are at decreased risk of newly diagnosed T2DM with the increase of serum uric acid level. There was no significant relationship between serum uric acid level and prediabetes in men.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the intraseasonal variation in mortality risk from cold temperature exposure in Shandong Province. Methods: Mortality data in Shandong province from 2013 to 2018 were collected from the cause of death surveillance system of Shandong Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The basic information mainly included the date of death, age, gender, education level, cause of death, home address, etc. The daily meteorological data from China Meteorological Data Network mainly included the grid coordinate data of 0.01°×0.01° latitude and longitude, such as daily average temperature (℃) and daily average relative humidity (%). The cold season was from November to February. The first two months were the early cold season and the last two months were the late cold season. The extreme cold temperature was defined as the 10th percentile of the temperature range of cold season. Time-stratified case crossover design with distributed lag non-linear model analyzed the association between temperature and mortality and the association between extreme low temperature and mortality in different lag days in the cold season, and compared the intraseasonal differences between early (November-December) and late (January-February) cold season. Results: The temperature ranged from -17.3 ℃ to 18.6 ℃ in Shandong Province during the cold season from 2013 to 2018, and the P10 (extreme low temperature) was -13.7 ℃. The average daily temperature in the early cold season was (3.63±4.66) ℃. The temperature in the late cold season was (-0.09±3.70) ℃. The average daily relative humidity was (63.89±14.75) % in the early cold season and (62.27±14.19) % in the late cold season. This study included 1 473 300 deaths in the cold season in Shandong Province between 2013 and 2018. There were 824 601 (55.97%) males and 349 824 (23.75%) cases aged<65 years. There were 803 691 (54.55%) deaths due to circulatory diseases and 140 415 (9.53%) deaths due to respiratory diseases. The results of DLNM showed that the cumulative OR of extreme low temperature in the four months of cold season was 1.74 (95%CI: 1.63, 1.86) with the optimal temperature of 18.6 ℃ as the reference. The cumulative OR values of early and late cold season were 1.50 (95%CI: 1.32, 1.71) and 2.56 (95%CI: 2.12, 3.09), respectively (P<0.001). The lag effect lasted for 12 d. Conclusion: There is an intraseasonal variation of the association between cold temperature and mortality risk in Shandong Province. The mortality risk related to cold temperature in the late cold season is higher than that in the early cold season.

Precise Measurements of Decay Parameters and CP Asymmetry with Entangled Λ-Λ[over ¯] Pairs. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 129:131801. Abstract
Based on 10 billion J/ψ events collected at the BESIII experiment, a search for CP violation in Λ decay is performed in the difference between CP-odd decay parameters α_{-} for Λ→pπ^{-} and α_{+} for Λ[over ¯]→p[over ¯]π^{+} by using the process e^{+}e^{-}→J/ψ→ΛΛ[over ¯]. With a five-dimensional fit to the full angular distributions of the daughter baryon, the most precise values for the decay parameters are determined to be α_{-}=0.7519±0.0036±0.0024 and α_{+}=-0.7559±0.0036±0.0030, respectively. The Λ and Λ[over ¯] averaged value of the decay parameter is extracted to be α_{avg}=0.7542±0.0010±0.0024 with unprecedented accuracy. The CP asymmetry A_{CP}=(α_{-}+α_{+})/(α_{-}-α_{+}) is determined to be -0.0025±0.0046±0.0012, which is one of the most precise measurements in the baryon sector. The reported results for the decay parameter will play an important role in the studies of the polarizations and CP violations for the strange, charmed and beauty baryons.

First Observation of the Direct Production of the χ_{c1} in e^{+}e^{-} Annihilation. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2022; 129:122001. Abstract
We study the direct production of the J^{PC}=1^{++} charmonium state χ_{c1}(1P) in electron-positron annihilation by carrying out an energy scan around the mass of the χ_{c1}(1P). The data were collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. An interference pattern between the signal process e^{+}e^{-}→χ_{c1}(1P)→γJ/ψ→γμ^{+}μ^{-} and the background processes e^{+}e^{-}→γ_{ISR}J/ψ→γ_{ISR}μ^{+}μ^{-} and e^{+}e^{-}→γ_{ISR}μ^{+}μ^{-} is observed by combining all the data samples. The χ_{c1}(1P) signal is observed with a significance of 5.1σ. This is the first observation of a C-even state directly produced in e^{+}e^{-} annihilation. The electronic width of the χ_{c1}(1P) resonance is determined to be Γ_{ee}=(0.12_{-0.08}^{+0.13}) eV, which is of the same order of magnitude as theoretical calculations.

Evidence for a Neutral Near-Threshold Structure in the K_{S}^{0} Recoil-Mass Spectra in e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}D_{s}^{+}D^{*-} and e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}D_{s}^{*+}D^{-}. Abstract
We study the processes e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}D_{s}^{+}D^{*-} and e^{+}e^{-}→K_{S}^{0}D_{s}^{*+}D^{-}, as well as their charge conjugated processes, at five center-of-mass energies between 4.628 and 4.699 GeV, using data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.8 fb^{-1} collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. Based on a partial reconstruction technique, we find evidence of a structure near the thresholds for D_{s}^{+}D^{*-} and D_{s}^{*+}D^{-} production in the K_{S}^{0} recoil-mass spectrum, which we refer to as the Z_{cs}(3985)^{0}. Fitting with a Breit-Wigner line shape, we find the mass of the structure to be (3992.2±1.7±1.6) MeV/c^{2} and the width to be (7.7_{-3.8}^{+4.1}±4.3) MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The significance of the Z_{cs}(3985)^{0} signal is found to be 4.6σ including both the statistical and systematic uncertainty. We report the Born cross section multiplied by the branching fraction at different energy points. The mass of the Z_{cs}(3985)^{0} is close to that of the Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}. Assuming SU(3) symmetry, the cross section of the neutral channel is consistent with that of the charged one. Hence, we conclude that the Z_{cs}(3985)^{0} is the isospin partner of the Z_{cs}(3985)^{+}.

Abstract
Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.3 fb^{-1} collected at center-of-mass energies from 4.23 to 4.70 GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the product of the e^{+}e^{-}→π^{+}π^{-}ψ_{2}(3823) cross section and the branching fraction B[ψ_{2}(3823)→γχ_{c1}]. For the first time, resonance structure is observed in the cross section line shape of e^{+}e^{-}→π^{+}π^{-}ψ_{2}(3823) with significances exceeding 5σ. A fit to data with two coherent Breit-Wigner resonances modeling the sqrt[s]-dependent cross section yields M(R_{1})=4406.9±17.2±4.5 MeV/c^{2}, Γ(R_{1})=128.1±37.2±2.3 MeV, and M(R_{2})=4647.9±8.6±0.8 MeV/c^{2}, Γ(R_{2})=33.1±18.6±4.1 MeV. Though weakly disfavored by the data, a single resonance with M(R)=4417.5±26.2±3.5 MeV/c^{2}, Γ(R)=245±48±13 MeV is also possible to interpret data. This observation deepens our understanding of the nature of the vector charmoniumlike states. The mass of the ψ_{2}(3823) state is measured as (3823.12±0.43±0.13) MeV/c^{2}, which is the most precise measurement to date.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the prevalence, clinical characteristics and risk factors of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in silicosis patients. Methods: In May 2021, a cross-sectional study was used to retrospectively include 329 silicosis patients first diagnosed in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2020. The demographic data, occupational history, chest imaging, pulmonary function and blood routine indicators of silicosis patients with COPD were analyzed, and the risk factors of silicosis with COPD were analyzed by multiple logistic regression. Results: There were 128 patients with silicosis complicated with COPD, and the overall prevalence rate was 38.9% (128/329) . Among them, 73.4% (94/128) were male and 33.6% (43/128) were heavy smokers; 33.6% (43/128) of patients were classified as gold 1, 37.5% (48/128) as gold 2, 25.0% (32/128) as gold 3, and 3.9% (5/128) as gold 4. Diagnostic age (OR=1.04, 95%CI=1.02~1.06, P<0.001) , cumulative smoking (OR=1.03, 95%CI=1.01~1.05, P=0.008) and silicosis stage III (OR=7.06, 95% CI=4.00-12.46, P<0.001) were risk factors for silicosis complicated with COPD. Conclusion: Diagnostic age, cumulative smoking volume and third stage of silicosis are the risk factors of silicosis patients with different degrees of COPD, which should be paid attention to in clinical treatment.

Abstract
Background The prognostic value of blood pressure (BP) and resting heart rate (RHR) in tricuspid regurgitation (TR) patients is unknown. Aims This study aimed to investigate the associations of BP and RHR with all-cause mortality in patients with TR. Methods A total of 2,013 patients with moderate or severe TR underwent echocardiography and BP measurement. The associations of routinely measured BP and RHR with 2-year all-cause mortality were analyzed. Results The cohort had 45.9% male patients and a mean age of 62.5 ± 15.9 years. At the 2-year follow-up, 165 patient deaths had occurred. The risk of death decreased rapidly, negatively correlating with systolic blood pressure (SBP) up to 120 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) up to 70 mmHg. For RHR, the risk increased in direct proportion, starting at 80 beats per min. After adjusting for age, sex, body mass index (BMI), diabetes, coronary heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), and NYHA class, SBP [hazard ratio (HR):0.89; 95% CI:0.823–0.957 per 10 mmHg increase; P =0.002], DBP (HR:0.8; 95% CI:0.714–0.908 per 10 mmHg increase; P < 0.001), and RHR (HR: 1.1; 95% CI: 1.022–1.175 per 10 beats per min increase; P = 0.011) were independently associated with all-cause mortality. These associations persisted after further adjustments for echocardiographic indices, medications, serological tests, and etiologies. Conclusion In this cohort of patients with TR, routinely measured BP and RHR were associated with all-cause mortality independently. However, further large-scale, high-quality studies are required to validate our findings.
