Abstract
Public libraries needed to quickly address the new challenges brought by COVID-19 to continue their services. This study aimed to understand innovative public library services during the pandemic and provide a typology that represent their services. Twitter messages of 12 large public libraries were analyzed to identify library services. A total of 751 Tweets were coded with thematic tags by service types and innovative approaches. Using the social innovation typology by Winberry and Potnis (2021), their typology was revised to show public libraries' innovative services under the emergency circumstances. The findings suggested significant differences within social innovation categories and newly emerged themes. The revised social innovation typology developed from Twitter data during the pandemic includes nine major categories of public libraries' innovative service types and provides updated insights into how public libraries continue to serve as important community resources using innovative approaches. The revised typology will be useful for future research in describing future innovation and assessing the endurance of pandemic-era service innovations.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Certain routine medication could result in post-induction hypotension (PIH), such as angiotensin axis blockades, which are frequently administered as a first-line therapy against hypertension. Remimazolam is reportedly associated with lesser intraoperative hypotension than propofol. This study compared the overall incidence of PIH following remimazolam or propofol administration in patients managed by angiotensin axis blockades. METHODS This single-blind, parallel-group, randomized control trial was conducted in a tertiary university hospital in South Korea. Patients undergoing surgery with general anesthesia were considered for enrollment if the inclusion criteria were met: administration of an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor or angiotensin receptor blocker, 19 to 65 years old, American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status classification ≤ III, and no involvement in other clinical trials. The primary outcome was the overall incidence of PIH, defined as a mean blood pressure (MBP) < 65 mmHg or decrease by ≥ 30% of the baseline MBP. The time points of measurement were baseline, just before the initial intubation attempt, and 1, 5, 10, and 15 min following intubation. The heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressures, and bispectral index were also recorded. Groups P and R included patients administered propofol and remimazolam, respectively, as an induction agent. RESULTS A total of 81 patients were analyzed, of the 82 randomized patients. PIH was less frequent in group R than group P (62.5% versus 82.9%; t value 4.27, P = 0.04, adjusted odds ratio = 0.32 [95% confidence interval 0.10-0.99]). The decrease in the MBP from baseline was 9.6 mmHg lesser in group R than in group P before the initial intubation attempt (95% confidence interval 3.3-15.9). A similar trend was observed for systolic and diastolic blood pressures. No severe adverse events were observed in either group. CONCLUSION Remimazolam results in less frequent PIH than propofol in patients undergoing routine administration of angiotensin axis blockades. Abstract
To cope with demands of working while studying, students must structure the boundaries between these roles (e.g., integrate or segment them) to suit their preferences and circumstances. However, students differ on how well they do this, and we do not yet understand the factors that contribute to managing work and study well. We sought to determine if different student groups existed and if the groups reported different work, study, and wellbeing outcomes. Using latent profile analysis and assessing work-study boundary congruence and flexibility (N = 808; 76% female; MAge 19.6 years), we identified four groups of (a) "balanced" (65.4%; with moderate boundary congruence and flexibility); (b) "high work congruence and flexibility" (17.5%; working arrangements supportive of study role); (c) "low work congruence and flexibility" (9.7%; unsupportive workplace arrangements); and (d) "low study congruence" (7.3%; study arrangements unsupportive of work role). These groups reported different work/study demands, role conflict, study burnout, and perceived employability, with "balanced" and "high work congruence and flexibility" groups scoring more positively and "low work congruence and flexibility" and "low study congruence" groups scoring more negatively. Results supported that different student groups existed, and these will need different supports to manage their multiple role responsibilities.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Patients with 5-α-reductase type 2 deficiency (5αRD2) require androgen treatment for the growth of normal male external genitalia. Since limited research has been conducted on the effects of androgen treatment on height in individuals with 5αRD2, we investigated the effect of androgen treatment on bone age (BA) and the height status in children with 5αRD2. METHODS Of the 19 participants who were followed up for an average of 10.6 years, 12 received androgen treatment. BA and height standard deviation scores (SDS) were compared between the treatment and non-treatment groups, as well as between the dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and testosterone enanthate (TE) treatment groups. RESULTS Despite the above-average height of the 19 patients with 5αRD2, the height SDS relative to BA (htSDS-BA) was below average, particularly in the androgen treatment group. DHT treatment did not lead to an increase in BA or htSDS-BA, whereas TE treatment resulted in BA advancement and decreased htSDS-BA, especially in the prepubertal period. CONCLUSIONS DHT treatment is more favorable for height than TE treatment in patients with 5αRD2, particularly during the prepubertal period. Therefore, age and the type of androgen used should be carefully considered to minimize the risk of height reduction in these patient groups.

Abstract
Objective Benefits of vitamin D in various cancers have been reported, but its effects on differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) have not been established. We aimed to analyze the effect of vitamin D supplementation on the prognosis of DTC. Methods A retrospective observational cohort study was conducted on 9,739 DTC patients who underwent thyroidectomy from January 1997 to December 2016. Mortality was classified as all-cause, cancer-related, or thyroid cancer-related. Patients were divided into the "VD group" (supplemented with vitamin D) and the "control group" (without vitamin D supplementation). Propensity score matching was performed in a 1:1 ratio according to age, sex, tumor size, extrathyroidal extension (ETE), and lymph node metastasis (LNM) status, and 3,238 patients were assigned to each group. Kaplan-Meier curves, log-rank test and Cox proportional hazards regression analysis were performed. Results The follow-up period was 10.7 ± 4.2 years. Clinicopathological variables between two groups were similar except for all-cause (p<0.001) and total cancer death (p=0.001). From the Kaplan-Meier curve and log-rank test, "VD group" had significantly favorable all-cause (p<0.001) and total cancer mortality (p=0.003), but similar thyroid cancer mortality (p=0.23). In Cox regression, vitamin D intake reduced the risk of all-cause (hazard ratio [HR], 0.617, p=0.001) and total cancer mortality (HR, 0.668, p=0.016) but had no effect on thyroid cancer mortality. Discussion/conclusion Vitamin D supplementation was positively associated with all-cause and total cancer mortality in DTC and might be a modifiable prognostic factor for improved survival. Further research will be needed to clarify the effect of vitamin D supplementation on DTC.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a rare but fatal complication in postpartum women. Mortality is as high as 65% in massive PE, in which systemic hypotension persists or circulatory collapse occurs. This case report describes a patient who underwent a caesarean section complicated by massive PE. The patient was managed with early surgical embolectomy and bridged with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). PRESENTATION OF CASE A 36 years old postpartum patient with an unremarkable medical history had sudden cardiac arrest due to PE on the day after a caesarean section. The patient recovered spontaneous cardiac rhythm after cardiopulmonary resuscitation; however, hypoxia and shock persisted. Cardiac arrest and spontaneous circulation recovery were repeated twice per hour. Veno-arterial (VA) ECMO rapidly improved the patient's condition. Surgical embolectomy was conducted 6 h after the initial collapse by the experienced cardiovascular surgeon. The patient's condition improved rapidly, and was weaned from ECMO on postoperative day three. The patient recovered normal heart function and no pulmonary hypertension was observed on follow-up echocardiography performed 15 months later. DISCUSSION Timely intervention is important in the management of PE because of its rapid progression. VA ECMO is a useful bridge therapy to prevent derangement and severe organ failure. Surgical embolectomy is appropriate following the use of ECMO in postpartum patients because of the risk of major haemorrhagic complications or intracranial haemorrhage. CONCLUSION In patients who have undergone caesarean section complicated by massive PE, surgical embolectomy is preferred because of the risk of haemorrhagic complications and their relatively young age.

Abstract
The behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) are challenging aspects of dementia care. This study used machine learning models to predict the occurrence of BPSD among community-dwelling older adults with dementia. We included 187 older adults with dementia for model training and 35 older adults with dementia for external validation. Demographic and health data and premorbid personality traits were examined at the baseline, and actigraphy was utilized to monitor sleep and activity levels. A symptom diary tracked caregiver-perceived symptom triggers and the daily occurrence of 12 BPSD classified into seven subsyndromes. Several prediction models were also employed, including logistic regression, random forest, gradient boosting machine, and support vector machine. The random forest models revealed the highest area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) values for hyperactivity, euphoria/elation, and appetite and eating disorders; the gradient boosting machine models for psychotic and affective symptoms; and the support vector machine model showed the highest AUC. The gradient boosting machine model achieved the best performance in terms of average AUC scores across the seven subsyndromes. Caregiver-perceived triggers demonstrated higher feature importance values across the seven subsyndromes than other features. Our findings demonstrate the possibility of predicting BPSD using a machine learning approach.

Abstract
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) containing bioactive metals have the potential to exhibit antimicrobial activity by releasing metal ions or ligands through the cleavage of metal-ligand bonds. Recently, copper-based MOFs (Cu-MOFs) with sustained release capability, porosity, and structural flexibility have shown promising antimicrobial properties. However, for clinical use, the controlled release of Cu2+ over an extended time period is crucial to prevent toxicity. In this study, we developed an alginate-based antimicrobial scaffold and encapsulated MOFs within a dual-crosslinked alginate polymer network. We synthesized Cu-MOFs containing glutarate (Glu) and 4,4'-azopyridine (AZPY) (Cu(AZPY)-MOF) and encapsulated them in an alginate-based hydrogel through a combination of visible light-induced photo and calcium ion-induced chemical crosslinking processes. We confirmed Cu(AZPY)-MOF synthesis using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis. This antimicrobial hydrogel demonstrated excellent antibacterial and antifungal properties against two bacterial strains (MRSA and S. mutans, with >99.9 % antibacterial rate) and one fungal strain (C. albicans, with >78.7 % antifungal rate) as well as negligible cytotoxicity towards mouse embryonic fibroblasts, making it a promising candidate for various tissue engineering applications in biomedical fields.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION BMI has been shown to predict perioperative outcomes in patients undergoing surgery. Most studies assessing the role of body habitus in thyroid surgery have focused on open surgery, with few studies assessing patients undergoing robotic surgery. The present study evaluated the effects of BMI on surgical outcomes in patients undergoing bilateral axillo-breast approach (BABA) robotic thyroidectomy. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study included patients who underwent BABA robotic thyroidectomy between January 2013 and September 2021 at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. Patients were categorized into six groups based on the WHO classification of overweight and obesity. Clinicopathological characteristics, postoperative complications, and surgical outcomes were evaluated. RESULTS A total of 1921 patients were included. Comparisons of the six BMI groups showed no statistically significant differences in postoperative stay, resection margin involvement, postoperative complications, and recurrence. Subgroup analysis showed that hypocalcemia rates differed among BMI groups in patients who underwent lobectomy, with underweight and class II obese patients being at the highest risk ( P =0.006). However, the actual number of complications was relatively small and similar among the groups. In patients who underwent total thyroidectomy and isthmectomy, BMI was not correlated with postoperative complications, including hypocalcemia, recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy, postoperative bleeding, and chyle leakage. CONCLUSION Body habitus was not significantly associated with operative time and postoperative complications in patients undergoing BABA robotic thyroidectomy, indicating that this approach is safe and feasible in obese patients.

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the evolution of financial protection of households against OOP in South Korea, where subsequent policies of expanding benefit coverage have been implemented primarily focusing on several severe diseases, by measuring catastrophic healthcare expenditure (CHE) and the characteristics of households vulnerable to CHE. Using the Korea Health Panel 2011-2018, this study analyzed CHE trends by the targeted severe diseases and other health problems and household income and examined the determinants of CHE using binary logistic regression. Our findings showed that CHE decreased in households with the targeted severe diseases but increased in households experiencing hospitalization that were not related to the targeted diseases, which appeared to have a significantly higher likelihood of CHE in 2018 than households with the targeted severe diseases. In addition, CHE was more prevalent and increased or remained stagnant among households whose heads had health problems than others. Inequalities in CHE also increased, showing increased Concentration Index (CI) and increased incidences of CHE in the lower income quartile during the study period. These results suggest that the current policies are insufficient to achieve its financial protection goals against healthcare expenditure in South Korea. In particular, benefit expansions targeting a specific disease may cause inequitable distribution of resources and may not enhance protection against households' financial burden.

Abstract
We report a robust method for the facile synthesis of N-doped carbon nanospheres with uniform and tunable sizes. Instead of involving a surfactant or other templates, this synthesis relies on the incorporation of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) into the emulsion droplets of phenolic resin oligomers. The EDTA provides a high density of surface charges to effectively increase the electrostatic repulsion between the droplets and thereby prevent them from coalescing into irregular structures during polymerization-induced hardening. The EDTA-loaded polymer nanospheres are highly uniform in terms of both size and shape for easy crystallization into opaline structures. While maintaining good uniformity, the diameters of the resultant N-doped carbon nanospheres can be readily tuned from 100 to 375 nm, allowing for the fabrication of opaline lattices with brilliant structural colors. The EDTA also serves as an additional nitrogen source to promote the formation of graphitic-N, making the N-doped carbon nanospheres highly active, metal-free bifunctional electrocatalysts toward oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions.

Abstract
Although young people espouse a range of career values, the extent to which traditional career values inter-mix with protean values is unclear. We interviewed a group of young university students in Australia (N = 24, MAge 19.4 years; 50% young men) and examined the full range of traditional and protean values held. Employing applied thematic analysis, we found that freedom/autonomy and fit to self were dominant in protean career themes, while they strongly expressed a desire for job security in a traditional career. The results inform theory development in the career development area and can assist university career counselors.

Abstract
Sarcopenic obesity (SO) is characterized by atrophic skeletal muscle impairment (sarcopenia) and obesity, which is associated with adverse outcomes of morbidity and mortality in elderly people. We investigated the effects of melatonin and exercise training on SO in 32-week-old senescence-accelerated mouse-prone-8 (SAMP8) mice fed a normal diet or a high-fat diet for 16 weeks. Melatonin, exercise, or melatonin and exercise for 8 weeks displayed reductions in the SO-induced impairment of skeletal muscle function and atrophy. Specifically, a decrease in mitochondrial calcium retention capacity in skeletal muscles observed in the HFD-con group was attenuated in melatonin and/or exercise intervention groups. More importantly, HFD-con mice displayed a lower number of Pax7+ satellite cells (SCs) and higher expression of p16ink than P8ND mice, which were attenuated by melatonin and/or exercise interventions. The cellular senescence in SC-derived primary myoblasts from HFD-con mice was significantly attenuated in myoblasts from the melatonin and/or exercise groups, which was reproduced in a senescence model of H2O2-treated C2C12 myoblasts. Our results suggest that melatonin and exercise training attenuate SO-induced skeletal muscle dysfunction, at least in part, through preserving the SC pool by inhibiting cellular senescence and attenuating mitochondrial dysfunction.

Abstract
Human mitochondrial genome is transcribed bidirectionally, generating long complementary RNAs that can form double-stranded RNAs (mt-dsRNAs). When released to the cytosol, these mt-dsRNAs can activate antiviral signaling. Here, we present a detailed protocol for the analysis of mt-dsRNA expression. The protocol provides three approaches that can complement one another in examining mt-dsRNAs. While the described protocol is optimized for human cells, this approach can be adapted for use in other animal cell lines and tissue samples. Abstract
Denosumab is an effective antiresorptive drug commonly prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis. However, some patients do not respond well to denosumab treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the factors underlying treatment nonresponses to denosumab in elderly patients following hip fracture. This retrospective study included 130 patients treated with denosumab after osteoporotic hip fracture between March 2017 and March 2020. The patients were categorized as denosumab nonresponders if they had a T-score <-3 that persisted between dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry scans, a >3% decrease in bone mineral density (BMD), or an incident fracture on denosumab therapy. We examined the baseline characteristics associated with blunted BMD responses and compared the groups following denosumab treatment for 12 months. Of 130 patients with baseline data, 105 patients (80.8%) were considered responders. No difference in baseline vitamin D, calcium, BMI, age, gender, prior fracture history, or bisphosphonate use was observed between responders and nonresponders. A longer interval between denosumab injections was associated with suboptimal BMD response at both spine and total hip (p<0.001 and p=0.04, respectively). The overall L-BMD and H-BMD were significantly increased compared with pretreatment levels after denosumab treatment (5.7% and 2.5%, respectively). This study revealed that nonresponse was not strongly associated with certain baseline variables and it appears that the reponders and nonresponders were reasonably comparable in this study population. The results of our study highlight the importance of timely denosumab administration when using this drug for osteoporosis management. Physicians should keep these results in mind in clinical practice so that they can improve utilization of 6-month denosumab.

Abstract
We propose a novel blood biomarker detection method that uses miRNA super-resolution imaging to enable the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Here, we report a singlemolecule detection method for visualizing disease-specific miRNA in tissue from an AD mice model, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from AD patients. Using optimized Magnified Analysis of Proteome (MAPs), we confirmed that five miRNAs contribute to neurodegenerative disease in the brain hippocampi of 5XFAD and wild-type mice. We also assessed PBMCs isolated from the whole blood of AD patients and a healthy control group, and subsequently analyzed those samples using miRNA super-resolution imaging. We detected more miR-200a-3p expression in the cornu ammonis 1 and dentate gyrus regions of 3 month-old 5XFAD mice than in wild-type mice. Additionally, miRNA super-resolution imaging of blood provides AD diagnosis platform for studying miRNA regulation inside cells at the single molecule level. Our results present a potential liquid biopsy method that could improve the diagnosis of early stage AD and other diseases. [BMB Reports 2023; 56(3): 190-195].

Abstract
PURPOSE The aims of this study were to evaluate the cumulative recurrence, reoperation, and pregnancy rates after ovarian endometrioma surgery at a single institution for more than a 5-year follow-up period. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study was conducted as a retrospective chart review of patients with ovarian endometrioma who underwent surgery between January 2008 and March 2016. Study subjects included premenopausal women with at least 5 years of follow-up. Exclusion criteria were patients with stage I or II ovarian endometrioma, those who underwent hysterectomy or bilateral oophorectomy, and presence of residual ovarian lesions on the first postoperative ultrasonography at 3-6 months. Recurrence was defined as a cystic mass by ultrasonography. RESULTS A total of 756 patients were recruited. The median follow-up duration was 85.5 months (interquartile range, 71-107 months). Recurrent endometrioma was detected in 27.9% patients, and reoperation was performed in 8.3% patients. Cumulative rates at 24, 36, 60, and 120 months were 5.8%, 8.7%, 15.5% and 37.6%, respectively, for recurrence and 0.1%, 0.5%, 2.9%, and 15.1%, respectively, for reoperation. After multivariable analysis, age ≤31 years [hazard ratio (HR)=2.108; 95% confidence interval (CI)=1.522-2.921; p<0.001], no subsequent pregnancy (HR=1.851; 95% CI=1.309-2.617; p<0.001), and postoperative hormonal treatment ≤15 months (HR=2.869; 95% CI=2.088-3.941; p<0.001) were significant risk factors for recurrent endometrioma. Among 315 patients who desired pregnancy, 54.0% were able to have a successful pregnancy and delivery. CONCLUSION Considering that longer postoperative hormonal treatment is the sole modifiable factor for recurrent endometrioma, we recommend long-term hormonal treatment until subsequent pregnancy, especially in younger women.

Abstract
This study examined the relationship between the receipt of COVID-19 child tax credit and adult mental health problems in the United States, and we explored whether and the extent to which a wide range of spending patterns of the credit-15 patterns regarding basic necessities, child education, and household expenditure-mediated the relationship. We used COVID-19-specialized data from the U.S. Census Bureau's Household Pulse Survey, a representative population sample (N = 98,026) of adult respondents (18 and older) who participated between 21 July 2021 and 11 July 2022. By conducting mediation analyses with logistic regression, we found relationships between the credit and lower levels of anxiety (odds ratio [OR] = 0.914; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.879, 0.952). The OR was substantially mediated by spending on basic necessities such as food and housing costs (proportion mediated = 46% and 44%, respectively). The mediating role was relatively moderate in the case of spending on child education and household expenditure. We also found that spending the credit on savings or investments reduces the effect of the child tax credit on anxiety (-40%) while donations or giving to family were not a significant mediator. Findings on depression were consistent with anxiety. The child tax credit-depression relationships were substantially mediated by spending on food and housing (proportion mediated = 53% and 70%). These mediation analyses suggested that different patterns of credit spending are important mediators of the relationship between the receipt of the child tax credit and mental illnesses. Public health approaches to improve adult mental health during and after the COVID-19 pandemic need to consider the notable mediating role of spending patterns.

Abstract
Background The most common type of dementia, Alzheimer's disease (AD), is marked by the formation of extracellular amyloid beta (Aβ) plaques. The impairments of axons and synapses appear in the process of Aβ plaques formation, and this damage could cause neurodegeneration. We previously reported that non-saponin fraction with rich polysaccharide (NFP) from Korean Red Ginseng (KRG) showed neuroprotective effects in AD. However, precise molecular mechanism of the therapeutic effects of NFP from KRG in AD still remains elusive. Methods To investigate the therapeutic mechanisms of NFP from KRG on AD, we conducted proteomic analysis for frontal cortex from vehicle-treated wild-type, vehicle-treated 5XFAD mice, and NFP-treated 5XFAD mice by using nano-LC-ESI-MS/MS. Metabolic network analysis was additionally performed as the effects of NFP appeared to be associated with metabolism according to the proteome analysis. Results Starting from 5,470 proteins, 2,636 proteins were selected for hierarchical clustering analysis, and finally 111 proteins were further selected for protein-protein interaction network analysis. A series of these analyses revealed that proteins associated with synapse and mitochondria might be linked to the therapeutic mechanism of NFP. Subsequent metabolic network analysis via genome-scale metabolic models that represent the three mouse groups showed that there were significant changes in metabolic fluxes of mitochondrial carnitine shuttle pathway and mitochondrial beta-oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Conclusion Our results suggested that the therapeutic effects of NFP on AD were associated with synaptic- and mitochondrial-related pathways, and they provided targets for further rigorous studies on precise understanding of the molecular mechanism of NFP.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Roles for extracellular vesicles (EVs) enriched with micro-RNAs (miRNAs) have been proposed in Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis, leading to the discovery of blood miRNAs as AD biomarkers. However, the diagnostic utility of specific miRNAs is not consistent. This study aimed to discover blood miRNAs that are differentially expressed in Korean AD patients, evaluate their clinical performance, and investigate their role in amyloidogenesis. METHODS We discovered miRNAs differentially expressed in AD (N = 8) from cognitively normal participants (CN, N = 7) or Parkinson's disease (PD) patients (N = 8). We evaluated the clinical performance of these miRNAs in plasma of subgroup (N = 99) and in plasma EVs isolated from the total cohort (N = 251). The effects of miRNAs on amyloidogenesis and on the regulation of their target genes were investigated in vitro. RESULTS Among 17 upregulated and one downregulated miRNAs in AD (>twofold), miR-122-5p, miR-210-3p, and miR-590-5p were differentially expressed compared with CN or PD. However, the diagnostic performance of the selected plasma or EV miRNAs in total participants were limited (area under the curve < 0.8). Nevertheless, levels of 3 miRNAs in plasma or plasma EVs of participants who were amyloid positron emission tomography (Aβ-PET) positive were significantly higher than those from the Aβ-PET negative participants (p < .05). The selected miRNAs induced Aβ production (p < .05) through activation of β-cleavage of amyloid precursor protein (CTF-β; p < .01), and downregulated their target genes (ADAM metallopeptidase domain 10, Brain-derived neurotrophic factor, and Jagged canonical notch ligand 1; p < .05), which was further supported by pathway enrichment analysis of target genes of the miRNAs. CONCLUSION In conclusion, despite of the limited diagnostic utility of selected miRNAs as plasma or plasma EV biomarkers, the discovered miRNAs may play a role in amyloidogenesis during AD onset and progression.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The use of home delivery services has expanded due to coronavirus disease - 2019, and couriers' high level of work intensity has become a severe social issue in various nations. OBJECTIVE This study investigates the risk factors of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) caused by frequent loading and unloading actions, known to be the most demanding tasks for couriers. METHODS A self-report survey and post-hoc interview were employed to collect personal information, task frequency, and the incidence of MSDs. Frequent actions during loading and unloading packages were identified, and the Rapid Entry Body Assessment (REBA) and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) lifting equations were assessed. RESULTS Approximately 29.5% of the 44 subjects suffered from MSDs, and identify the types of actions that frequently occur during loading and unloading packages. According to the REBA survey, 60% of the responses for both loading and unloading are distributed within the risk range of 8-13 points, suggesting a high risk (mean REBA score: 8.8 (loading), 8.5 (unloading)). In every case, NIOSH determined that the lifting index (LI) was harmful (mean LI: 1.62). Thereby, the bending or twisting posture of the hands and neck, long horizontal distance between the packages and the body, and high lifting frequency were identified as major problems. CONCLUSION The study identified a very high level of musculoskeletal risk for couriers, and the detailed working methods and body parts vulnerable to MSDs.

Abstract
Objectives: This study examines the inequality between people with and without disabilities regarding unmet healthcare needs and preventable hospitalization. Methods: We used the Korea Health Panel of 2016-2018; the final analytical observations were 43,512, including 6.95% of persons with disabilities. We examined the differences in contributors to the two dependent variables and decomposed the observed differences into explained and unexplained components using the Oaxaca-Blinder approach. Results: Unmet healthcare needs and preventable hospitalizations were 5.6% p (15.36% vs. 9.76%) and 0.68% p (1.82% vs. 0.61%), respectively, higher in people with disabilities than in those without, of which 48% and 35% were due to characteristics that the individual variables cannot explain. Decomposition of the distributional effect showed that sex, age, and chronic disease significantly increased disparities for unmet healthcare needs and preventable hospitalization. Socioeconomic factors such as income level and Medical aid significantly increased the disabled-non-disabled disparities for unmet healthcare needs. Conclusion: Socioeconomic conditions increased the disparities, but around 35%-48% of the disparities in unmet healthcare needs and preventable hospitalization were due to unexplained factors, such as environmental barriers.

Abstract
Visual confusion occurs when two dissimilar images are superimposed onto the same retinal location. In the context of wearable displays, it can be used to provide multiple sources of information to users on top of the real-world scene. While useful, visual confusion may cause visual rivalry that can suppress one of the sources. If two different images are projected to each eye (i.e., monocular displays), it provokes binocular rivalry wherein visual perception intermittently switches between the two images. When a semi-transparent image is superimposed (i.e., see-through displays), monocular rivalry results, causing perceptual alternations between the foreground and the background images. Here, we investigated how these rivalries influence the visibility of the peripheral target using three configurations of wearable displays (i.e., monocular opaque, monocular see-through, and binocular see-through) with three eye movement conditions (i.e., saccades, smooth pursuit, and central fixation). Using the HTC VIVE Eye Pro headset, subjects viewed a forward vection of a 3D corridor with a horizontally moving vertical grating at 10° above the center fixation. During each trial (~1 min), subjects followed a fixation cross that varied in location to induce eye movements and simultaneously reported whether the peripheral target was visible. Results showed that the binocular display had significantly higher target visibility than both monocular displays, and the monocular see-through display had the lowest target visibility. Target visibility was also higher when eye movements were executed, suggesting that the effects of rivalry are attenuated by eye movements and binocular see-through displays.

Abstract
Background and Objectives Lymphoblastoid cell lines (LCLs) deposited from disease-affected individuals could be a valuable donor cell source for generating disease-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). However, generation of iPSCs from the LCLs is still challenging, as yet no effective gene delivery strategy has been developed. Methods and Results Here, we reveal an effective gene delivery method specifically for LCLs. We found that LCLs appear to be refractory toward retroviral and lentiviral transduction. Consequently, lentiviral and retroviral transduction of OCT4, SOX2, KFL4 and c-MYC into LCLs does not elicit iPSC colony formation. Interestingly, however we found that transfection of oriP/EBNA-1-based episomal vectors by electroporation is an efficient gene delivery system into LCLs, enabling iPSC generation from LCLs. These iPSCs expressed pluripotency makers (OCT4, NANOG, SSEA4, SALL4) and could form embryoid bodies. Conclusions Our data show that electroporation is an effective gene delivery method with which LCLs can be efficiently reprogrammed into iPSCs.
