Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristics of HBV-related liver cirrhotic patients with low viral load. Methods: A retrospective analysis on 481 inpatients with HBV-related cirrhosis with low viral load [HBV DNA≤2 000 IU/ml (10(4) copies/ml)] general condition, virological indicators, liver function-related indicators, complications, and incidence of complications were analyzed. The t-test was used to compare the average measurement data, and the χ (2) test was used to compare the count data. Results: 481 cases were mainly male (male/female: 324/157), aged 20-83 (53.31 ± 11.67) years old. Han nationality accounted for 71.518%. 386 cases were HBsAg positive. 391 cases were HBeAg positive, and 140 cases were HBV DNA positive. The average value of bilirubin, albumin, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, platelets, and prothrombin were 50.59 ± 91.25 (μmol/L), 33.68 ± 7.5 (g/L), and 60.66 ± 106.95(U/L), 63.37 ± 86.19(U/L), 106.65 ± 83.22(×10(9)/L), 68.82% ± 25.33%, respectively. CTP class A/B/C had 220/150/111 cases. The average values of CTP, MELD, APRI and FIB-4 were 7.61 ± 2.58, 10.98 ± 5.79, 2.34 ± 3.56, 6.91 ± 8.04, respectively. The overall incidence of complications in HBV-related cirrhotic patients with low viral load, HBV DNA negative, HBV DNA positive, HBsAg negative, and HBsAg positive were 80.0%, 82.7%, 73.6%, 85.3%, and 78.8%, respectively. Among them, 283 cases (58.84%), 197 cases (55.77%), 86 cases (61.43%), 52 cases (54.74%) and 231 cases (59.84%) were of hypersplenism, and 267 cases (55.51%), 197 cases (55.77%), 70 cases (50.00%), 56 cases (58.95%), and 211 cases (54.66%) were of esophagogastric varices. There were 59 cases (12.27%), 48 cases (14.08%), 11 cases (7.86%), 12 cases (12.63%), and 47 cases (12.18%) of rupture of esophageal and gastric varices, respectively. 202 cases (42.00%), 147 cases (43.11%), 55 cases (39.29%), 42 cases (44.21%), and 160 cases (41.45%) were of ascites, respectively. 17 cases (3.53%), 12 cases (3.52%), 5 cases (3.5%), 2 cases (2.11%), 15 (3.89%) cases were of hepatic encephalopathy, respectively. There were 6 cases (1.25%), 3 cases (0.88%), 3 cases (2.14%), 0 cases (0%), 6 cases (1.55%) of liver cancer. 29 cases (6.03%), 21 cases (6.16%), 8 cases (5.71%), 9 cases (9.47%) and 20 cases (5.18%) were of portal vein thrombosis. Compared with the overall incidence of complications, 341 HBV DNA-negative patients and 95 HBsAg-negative patients still had higher incidence of complications. The patients were grouped by age, and in < 40 years old, 40-50 years old, and > 50 years old, the overall complications were 80.8% in 42 cases, 76.8% in 116 cases and 81.7% in 227 cases, and the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: HBV infection patients with low viral load, and those whose HBsAg has disappeared, are still at risk of developing liver cirrhosis and even serious complications, and whether such population need antiviral therapy and benefit from it deserves further research.

Abstract
Unprecedented enantioselective resolution copolymerization of racemic cis-internal epoxides and anhydrides was mediated by dinuclear aluminum complexes with multiple chirality, affording optically active polyesters with two contiguous stereogenic centers, and the unreacted substrates in good enantioselectivity. Unexpected stereoconvergence is observed in this resolution copolymerization, where the selectivity factor for the enantioselective formation of copolymer significantly exceeds the kinetic resolution coefficient based on the unreacted epoxide at various conversions. Catalytic activity and copolymer enantioselectivity are strongly influenced by the phenolate ortho-substituents of the ligand set, as well as the axial linker and its chirality. An enantiopure binaphthol-linked bimetallic AlIII complex allows stereoconvergent access to the stereoregular semi-crystalline polyesters and a concomitant kinetic resolution of the epoxide substrates.

Abstract
Polymeric materials possessing both high refractive indices and high Abbe numbers are much in demand for the development of advanced optical devices. However, the synthesis of such functional materials is a challenge because of the trade-off between these two properties. Herein, a synthetic strategy is presented for enhancing the optical properties of CO2 -based polycarbonates by modifying the polymer's topological structure. Terpolymers with thiocarbonate and carbonate units randomly distributed in the polymers' main chain were synthesized via the terpolymerization of cyclohexene oxide with a mixture of CO2 and COS in the presence of metal catalysts, most notably a dinuclear aluminum complex. DFT calculations were employed to explain why different structural sequence were obtained with distinct bimetallic catalysts. Varying the CO2 pressure made it possible to obtain terpolymers with tunable carbonate linkages in the polymer chain. More importantly, optical property studies revealed that terpolymers with comparable thiocarbonate and carbonate units exhibited a refractive index of 1.501 with an enhanced Abbe number as high as 48.6, much higher than the corresponding polycarbonates or polythiocarbonates. Additionally, all terpolymers containing varying thiocarbonate content displayed good thermal properties with Tg >109 °C and Td >260 °C, suggesting little loss in the thermal stability compared to the polycarbonate. Hence, modification of the topological structure of the polycarbonate is an efficient method of obtaining polymeric materials with enhanced optical properties without compromising thermal performance.

Abstract
The Kitaev model on the honeycomb lattice has been receiving substantial attention due to the discovery of quantum spin liquid state associated with this model. Consequently, its classical partners such as the Kitaev-Heisenberg (KH) model and associated phase transitions become concerned. Specifically, an intermediate Kosterlitz-Thouless (KT) phase engaged in the transition from the high-temperature (T) disordered state to the low-T sixfold degenerate state is predicted in the isotropic KH model [Phys. Rev. Lett. 109, 187201 (2012)10.1103/PhysRevLett.109.187201], but so far no sufficient experimental proof has been reported. In this work, we consider an essential extension of this KH model on the honeycomb lattice by including the Kitaev exchange anisotropy that is non-negligible in realistic materials. The associated phase transitions are thus investigated using the Monte Carlo simulations. It is found that such an anisotropy will result in a degradation of the sixfold degeneracy of the ground state in the isotropic KH model down to the fourfold or twofold degenerate ground state, and the finite-T phase transitions will also be modified remarkably. Interestingly, the intermediate KT phase can be suppressed by this Kitaev exchange anisotropy. This work thus provides a more realistic description of the physics ingredient with the KH model and presents a possible explanation on absence of the intermediate phase in real materials where the Kitaev exchange anisotropy can be more or less available.

Abstract
Topological polymers possess many advantages over linear polymers. However, when it comes to the poly(monothiocarbonate)s, no topological polymers have been reported. Described herein is a facile and efficient approach for synthesizing well-defined branched poly(monothiocarbonate)s in a "grafting through" manner by copolymerizing carbonyl sulfide (COS) with epichlorohydrin (ECH), where the side-chain forms in situ. The lengths of the side-chains are tunable based on reaction temperatures. More importantly, enhancement in thermal properties of the branched copolymer was observed, as the Tg value increased by 22 °C, compared to the linear analogues. When chiral ECH was utilized, semicrystalline branched poly(monothiocarbonate)s were accessible with a Tm value of 112 °C, which is 40 °C higher than that of the corresponding linear poly(monothiocarbonate)s. The strategy presented herein for synthesizing branched polymers provides efficient and concise access to topological polymers.

Abstract
A 14-day experiment was conducted to explore the pathological process and immune response of soybean meal (SBM) induced enteritis (SBMIE) in grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus). The complete replacement of dietary fish meal (FM) with SBM resulted in a remarkable reduction in final body weight, weight gain ratio, and feed conversion efficiency (p < 0.05). The typical histopathological changes of SBMIE appeared starting at day 4, and progressively increased in severity until day 8, then gradually subsided after day 11. The course of SBMIE could be divided into incubation period (days 1-2), prodromal period (days 3-6), symptomatic period (days 7-10), and convalescent period (days 11-14). Transcription levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, IL-8, IL-17A/F1 and IFN-γ2, were up-regulated during the prodromal period, and then down-regulated during the convalescent period. Transcript levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-10 and TGFβ1) and their receptors (IL-10R1 and TβRII), were up-regulated during the prodromal and convalescent periods. Transcript levels of MHCIIβ, Igμ, Igτ, TCRδ, TCRβ, CD4, and CD8α were altered in SBMIE. Furthermore, expression levels of T-bet, IFN-γ2, RORγ2 and IL-17A/F1 were significantly increased in the initiation of enteritis, whereas the transcript levels of Foxp3 and IL-2/15Ra were significantly up-regulated in the repair of enteritis. In conclusion, grass carp SBMIE is regulated by the adjustment of SBM-based diet intake, and the changes of the above-mentioned genes expression suggest that these genes may be involved in SBMIE.

Abstract
Interferon (IFN) is a vital antiviral factor in host in the early stages after the viral invasion. Meanwhile, viruses have to survive by taking advantage of the cellular machinery and complete their replication. As a result, viruses evolved several immune escape mechanisms to inhibit host IFN expression. However, the mechanisms used to escape the host's IFN system are still unclear for infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV). In this study, we report that the N protein of IHNV inhibits IFN1 production in rainbow trout by degrading the MITA. Firstly, the upregulation of IFN1 promoter activity stimulated by poly I:C was suppressed by IHNV infection. Consistent with this result, the overexpression of the N protein of IHNV blocked the IFN1 transcription that was activated by poly I:C and MITA. Secondly, MITA was remarkably decreased by the overexpression of N protein at the protein level. Further analysis demonstrated that the N protein targeted MITA and promoted the ubiquitination of MITA. Taken together, these data suggested that the production of rainbow trout IFN1 could be suppressed by the N protein of IHNV via degrading MITA.

Abstract
The exponentially increasing viscosity of water-lean CO2 absorbents during carbon capture processes is a critical problem for practical application, owing to its strong correlation with systems' mass transfer properties, as well as convenience of transportation. In this work, a concise strategy based on structure-viscosity relationships is proposed and applied to construct a series of functionalized ethylenediamines as single-component absorbents for post-combustion CO2 capture. These nonaqueous absorbents have outstanding viscosities (50-200 cP, 25 °C) at their maximal CO2 capacities (up to 22 wt % or 4.92 mol kg-1 , 1 bar), and are readily regenerated at low temperatures (50-80 °C) under ambient pressure. Additional capture of CO2 through physisorption could also be achieved by operating at high pressures. The CO2 capture and release process is systematically investigated by means of 13 C NMR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), in situ FTIR analysis, and density functional theory (DFT) calculations, which could provide sufficient spectroscopic details to reveal the ease of reversibility and enable rational interpretation of the absorption mechanism.

Abstract
An aliphatic polyester has been prepared from ethylene oxide and maleic anhydride that undergoes reversible transformation between amorphous (Tg =18 °C) and crystalline (Tm =124 °C) states through cis-trans isomerization of the C=C bonds in the polymer backbone without any change in either the molecular weight or dispersity of the polymer. A similar transformation was also observed in chiral unsaturated polyesters formed from enantiopure terminal epoxides, such as epichlorohydrin, phenyl glycidyl ether, and (2,3-epoxypropyl)benzene. These unsaturated polyesters with 100 % E-configuration in the crystalline state were prepared by quantitative isomerization of their Z-configuration analogues in the presence of a catalytic amount of diethylamine, while in the presence of benzophenone, irradiation with 365 nm UV light resulted in the transformation of about 30 % trans-alkene to cis-maleate form, thereby affording amorphous polyesters.

Abstract
Mammalian cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS) senses double-stranded (ds) DNA in the cytosol to activate the innate antiviral response. In the present study, a cGAS-like gene, namely cGASL, was cloned from grass carp Ctenopharyngodon idellus, and its role as a negative regulator of the IFN response was revealed. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that cGASL was evolutionarily closest to cGAS, but was not a true ortholog of cGAS. Overexpression of cGASL inhibited poly I:C-stimulated grass carp (gc)IFN1pro and ISRE activities. In addition, MITA-, but not TBK1-mediated activation of gcIFN1pro was impaired by cGASL. Co-immunoprecipitation and Western blot experiments indicated that cGASL interacted with MITA and TBK1, resulting in a reduction in the phosphorylation of MITA. Lastly, overexpression of cGASL reduced the transcriptional levels of several IFN-stimulated genes activated by MITA. Collectively, these data suggest that cGASL is a negative regulator of IFN response by targeting MITA in fish.

Abstract
Fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) 3 is one of the four distinct membrane-spanning tyrosine kinases required for proper skeletal development. In fish, the role of FGFR3 is still unclear. In this article, we reveal that zebrafish FGFR3 is a negative regulator of interferon (IFN) production in the innate immune response by suppressing the activity of TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) in the process of virus infection. qPCR experiments demonstrate that the transcriptional level of cellular FGFR3 was upregulated by infection with spring viremia of carp virus (SVCV), indicating that FGFR3 might be involved in the process of host cell response to viral infection. Then, overexpression of FGFR3 significantly impeded the IFN promoter activity induced by a stimulator. In addition, the capabilities of a retinoic acid-inducible gene I (RIG-I)-like receptor (RLR) system to activate IFN promoter were decreased during the overexpression of FGFR3. Subsequently, FGFR3 decreased the phosphorylation of interferon regulatory factor 3 (IRF3) and mediator of IRF3 activation (MITA) by TBK1. These findings suggest that zebrafish FGFR3 is a negative regulator of IFN by attenuating the kinase activity of TBK1, leading to the suppression of IFN expression.
