Abstract
The gas production from clayey silt natural gas hydrate (NGH) reservoir in the South China Sea faces the problem of low connectivity between the reservoir and the production well, which seriously reduces the gas production rate. Multistage fractured horizontal well (MFHW) is regarded as an effective technical means to improve gas production for an unconventional reservoir with low permeability. In this paper, a three-dimensional numerical simulation model was built to study the promotion effects of MFHW technology on gas production from a clayey silt NGH reservoir. The temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of the NGH reservoir with and without multiple fractures were compared and analyzed in detail. In addition, the influences of the fracture number, permeability, and morphology on the stimulation effect on gas production through MFHW technology were discussed. The results indicated that the fractures with high conductivity provided a fast channel for gas and water flow and increased the contact area between the horizontal well and the NGH reservoir, which had a positive effect on increasing gas production from the clayey silt NGH reservoir. Increasing fracture number, fracture permeability, and the area of fracture morphology effectively improved the gas production rate and total gas production, but the stage of the high gas production rate only lasted for a short time. This study demonstrated the production behavior of MFHW technology in the clayey silt NGH reservoir, which was helpful for understanding this technology's stimulation effect.

Abstract
It is appealing but challenging to achieve real-time deep neural network (DNN) inference on mobile devices, because even the powerful modern mobile devices are considered as "resource-constrained" when executing large-scale DNNs. It necessitates the sparse model inference via weight pruning, i.e., DNN weight sparsity, and it is desirable to design a new DNN weight sparsity scheme that can facilitate real-time inference on mobile devices while preserving a high sparse model accuracy. This paper designs a novel mobile inference acceleration framework GRIM that is General to both convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neural networks (RNNs) and that achieves Real-time execution and high accuracy, leveraging fine-grained structured sparse model Inference and compiler optimizations for Mobiles. We start by proposing a new fine-grained structured sparsity scheme through the Block-based Column-Row (BCR) pruning. Based on this new fine-grained structured sparsity, our GRIM framework consists of two parts: (a) the compiler optimization and code generation for real-time mobile inference; and (b) the BCR pruning optimizations for determining pruning hyperparameters and performing weight pruning. We compare GRIM with Alibaba MNN, TVM, TensorFlow-Lite, a sparse implementation based on CSR, PatDNN, and ESE (a representative FPGA inference acceleration framework for RNNs), and achieve up to 14.08× speedup.

Abstract
Solar evaporation of seawater is promising to mitigate the fresh water scarcity problem in a green and sustainable way. However, salt accumulation on the photothermal material prevents the system continuous operation, and the water supply driven by capillary force severely limits the scale-up of the evaporators. Here, we demonstrate a double-sided suspending evaporator with top water supply and a surface water distributor for high-efficient concurrent solar evaporation and salt harvesting for large area applications. Both sides of the evaporator can evaporate water with automatic salt harvesting from the edge concurrently. Top water supply gets away from the limitation of capillary force for a larger area application and completely cuts off the heat leak to the bulk water below for higher efficiency. The energy conversion efficiency reaches 95.7% at 1.40 kg·m-2·h-1 with deionized water under 1 sun with a remarkable low surface average temperature (28.2 °C). Based on the simulation and experiment, a novel radial arterial water distribution system is developed to efficiently distribute water on a larger evaporation surface. The water distribution system alters the water transport path in the evaporation surface, leading to salt accumulation on the surface body, where salt is unable to be harvested by gravity automatically. This problem is further resolved by cutting out the salt accumulation area (16.4%) on the surface to create a floriform evaporator, which forcedly exposes the salt at the edge for harvesting. Up to70 h continuous solar evaporation from salt water at a rate of 1.04 kg·m-2·h-1 with concurrent salt collection on this floriform evaporator is achieved. This work resolves water supply and salt accumulation problems in scaling up the solar evaporators and advances the structural design of evaporators for high-efficient large area applications.

Abstract
Large deep neural network (DNN) models pose the key challenge to energy efficiency due to the significantly higher energy consumption of off-chip DRAM accesses than arithmetic or SRAM operations. It motivates the intensive research on model compression with two main approaches. Weight pruning leverages the redundancy in the number of weights and can be performed in a non-structured, which has higher flexibility and pruning rate but incurs index accesses due to irregular weights, or structured manner, which preserves the full matrix structure with a lower pruning rate. Weight quantization leverages the redundancy in the number of bits in weights. Compared to pruning, quantization is much more hardware-friendly and has become a "must-do" step for FPGA and ASIC implementations. Thus, any evaluation of the effectiveness of pruning should be on top of quantization. The key open question is, with quantization, what kind of pruning (non-structured versus structured) is most beneficial? This question is fundamental because the answer will determine the design aspects that we should really focus on to avoid the diminishing return of certain optimizations. This article provides a definitive answer to the question for the first time. First, we build ADMM-NN-S by extending and enhancing ADMM-NN, a recently proposed joint weight pruning and quantization framework, with the algorithmic supports for structured pruning, dynamic ADMM regulation, and masked mapping and retraining. Second, we develop a methodology for fair and fundamental comparison of non-structured and structured pruning in terms of both storage and computation efficiency. Our results show that ADMM-NN-S consistently outperforms the prior art: 1) it achieves 348× , 36× , and 8× overall weight pruning on LeNet-5, AlexNet, and ResNet-50, respectively, with (almost) zero accuracy loss and 2) we demonstrate the first fully binarized (for all layers) DNNs can be lossless in accuracy in many cases. These results provide a strong baseline and credibility of our study. Based on the proposed comparison framework, with the same accuracy and quantization, the results show that non-structured pruning is not competitive in terms of both storage and computation efficiency. Thus, we conclude that structured pruning has a greater potential compared to non-structured pruning. We encourage the community to focus on studying the DNN inference acceleration with structured sparsity.

Abstract
Efficient removal of cumene from gaseous streams and recovery of its derivatives was accomplished using a MCM-41-supported sulfuric acid (SSA/MCM-41) adsorbent. The results indicated that the removal performance of the SSA/MCM-41 for cumene was significantly influenced by the process conditions such as bed temperature, inlet concentration, bed height, and flow rate. The dose–response model could perfectly describe the collected breakthrough adsorption data. The SSA/MCM-41 adsorbent exhibited a reactive temperature region of 120–170 °C, in which the cumene removal ratios (Xc) were greater than 97%. Rising the bed height or reducing the flow rate enhanced the theoretical adsorption performance metrics, such as theoretical breakthrough time (tB,th) and theoretical breakthrough adsorption capacity (QB,th), whereas increasing the inlet concentration resulted in tB,th shortening and QB,th rising. As demonstrated in this paper, the highest tB,th and QB,th were 69.60 min and 324.50 mg g−1, respectively. Meanwhile, the spent SSA/MCM-41 could be desorbed and regenerated for cyclic reuse. Moreover, two recoverable adsorbed products, 4-isopropylbenzenesulfonic acid and 4, 4′-sulfonyl bis(isopropyl-benzene), were successfully separated and identified using FTIR and 1H/13C NMR characterization. Accordingly, the relevance of a reactive adsorption mechanism was confirmed. This study suggests that the SSA/MCM-41 has remarkable potential for application as an adsorbent for the resource treatment of cumene pollutants.

Abstract
In this study, β-cyclodextrin-modified reduced graphene oxide aerogels (β-CD-rGOAs) were synthesized via a one-step hydrothermal method and were used to remove hexamethyldisiloxane (L2) from biogas. The β-CD-rGOAs were characterized by the Brunner–Emmet–Teller technique, using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), contact angle measurements, and X-ray diffraction. The results of the characterizations indicate that β-CD was grafted onto the surface of rGOAs as a cross-linking modifier. The β-CD-rGOA had a three-dimensional, cross-linked porous structure. The maximum breakthrough adsorption capacity of L2 on β-CD-rGOA at 273 K was 111.8 mg g−1. A low inlet concentration and bed temperature facilitated the adsorption of L2. Moreover, the β-CD-rGOA was regenerated by annealing at 80 °C, which renders this a promising material for removing L2 from biogas.

Abstract
Gallic acid is a natural phenolic acid that has a stress inhibition effect on Escherichia coli. This study by integrates fermentation characteristics and transcriptional analyses to elucidate the physiological mechanism of E. coli 3110 response to gallic acid. Compared with the control (without stress), the cell growth was severely retarded, and irregular cell morphology appeared in the case of high levels of gallic acid stress. The glucose consumption of E. coli was reduced successively with the increase of gallic acid content in the fermentation medium. After 20 h of gallic acid stress, cofactor levels (ATP, NAD+ and NADH) of E. coli 3110 were similarly decreased, indicating a more potent inhibitory effect of gallic acid on E. coli. The transcriptional analysis revealed that gallic acid altered the gene expression profiles related to five notable differentially regulated pathways. The genes related to the two-component system were up-regulated, while the genes associated with ABC-transporter, energy metabolism, carbon metabolism, and fatty acid biosynthesis were down-regulated. This is the first report to comprehensively assess the toxicity of gallic acid on E. coli. This study has implications for the efficient production of phenolic compounds by E. coli and provides new ideas for the study of microbial tolerance to environmental stress and the identification of associated tolerance targets.

Abstract
Objectives: To investigate the risk factors and short-term prognosis of early pulmonary hypertension (PH) in preterm infants. Methods: A retrospective case-control study was performed in preterm infants (gestational age <32 weeks) in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of the Children's Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine from January 2012 to December 2019. Eighty preterm infants with a diagnosis of PH between 3 and 14 days (early PH group) were matched in gestational age and sex with the controls (1∶2) of the same period in NICU. Perinatal clinical records, complications, echocardiography and early outcomes were collected. Characteristics and outcomes were compared between the two groups with t-test, nonparametric test or Chi-square test. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the predictive factors of early PH. Results: The gestational age of the early PH group and the control group were both (27.9±1.4) weeks, and 52 (65.0%) and 104 (65.0%) were males in each group, respectively. Univariate analysis showed that birth weights were lower in the early PH group than those in the control group (1 030 (850, 1 200) vs. 1 110 (1 000, 1 278) g, Z=-3.27, P=0.001). The early PH group had higher rates of pregnancy-induced hypertension, prolonged rupture of membranes (PROM) >1 week, born by caesarean, small for gestational age (SGA), 1 and 5 min Apgar score ≤7 scores, neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) and hemodynamic significant patent ductus arteriosus (hsPDA) (12.5% (10/80) vs. 3.8% (6/160), 11.2% (9/80) vs. 3.8% (6/160), 48.8% (39/80) vs. 28.8% (46/160), 10.0% (8/80) vs. 1.9% (3/160), 70.8% (51/72) vs. 51.7% (74/143), 50.0% (36/72) vs. 20.3% (29/143), 88.8% (71/80) vs. 59.4% (95/160), 85.0% (68/80) vs. 22.5% (36/160), χ2=6.56, 5.12, 3.31, 8.05, 7.17, 20.05, 21.58, 84.84, all P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the independent predictive factors of early PH were PROM >1 week, SGA, 5 min Apgar score ≤7 scores, nenonatal RDS and hsPDA (OR=10.40, 18.61, 4.47, 4.13, 20.10, 95%CI 1.93-56.12, 2.82-122.76, 1.91-10.46, 1.50-11.39, 8.28-48.80, all P<0.05),respectively. Infants with early PH had higher incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), BPD associated PH, severe intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH), extrauterine growth retardation (EUGR), laser treatment for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and mortality than the controls (all P<0.05). The duration of invasive mechanical ventilation was also longer in the early PH group than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: Risk of early PH will be increased in preterm infants with PROM >1 week, SGA, 5 min Apgar score ≤7 scores, and comorbidities of nenonatal RDS and hsPDA. Early PH is associated with increased mortality, BPD, BPD associated PH, severe IVH, EUGR and laser treatment for ROP.

Abstract
Background This study was designed to compare early outcomes associated with coronary artery bypass grafting for multi-vessel disease conducted using either minimally invasive or conventional off-pump techniques. Methods From January 2017 through January 2021, 582 patients with multi-vessel lesion coronary artery disease underwent either minimally invasive cardiac surgery coronary artery bypass grafting (MICS CABG) or conventional off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCABG) treatment by our team at Anzhen Hospital. Patients in the MICS CABG group were propensity score-matched with those in the OPCABG at a 1:1 ratio (MICS CABG = 172; OPCABG = 172), using epidemiological data, preoperative clinical characteristics, and SYNTAX score as covariates. Perioperative outcomes and 6-month computed tomography angiography findings were compared between these groups. Results No significant differences between groups were observed with respect to 30-day postoperative mortality, myocardial infarction, and stroke incidence. Surgical data indicated that the MICS CABG procedure was able to cover all three main arterial territories with a relatively low need for circulatory assistance. The MICS CABG procedure was associated with a longer operative duration, but was also associated with higher postoperative hemoglobin and activities of daily living index values as well as a shorter duration of postoperative hospitalization (P < 0.05). No differences in 6-month graft patency were observed between groups. Conclusions MICS CABG is a safe, less invasive alternative to OPCABG when performing complete revascularization provided patients are properly selected, yielding similar in-hospital outcomes and 6-month graft patency rates together with an earlier return of physical function.

Abstract
Objective: To determine the characteristics of cervical neuroblastoma and the effect of resection extent on survival and outcomes. Methods: We performed a retrospective review of 32 children with cervical neuroblastoma treated at Beijing Children's Hospital between April 2013 and August 2020. Data were collected from the medical record. The individualized therapy was designed based on staging and risk group. Based on the extent of resection, patients were divided into incomplete and complete resection groups. Event free and overall survival rates were compared between two groups using the Kaplan-Meier method. Results: The ages of patients ranged from 1 month to 81 months, with a median age of 11 months, including 7 males and 15 females. Twenty-nine patients (90.6%) presented with cervical painless mass. The average diameter of the primary tumors was (5.12±1.43) cm. Tumors were located in the parapharyngeal space in 25 cases (78.1%) and in the root of the neck in 7 cases (21.9%). None had MYCN amplification. According to International Neuroblastoma Staging System (INSS), 15 patients (46.9%) were identified as stage 1, 11 patients (34.3%) as stage 2B, 3 patients (9.4%) as stage 3 and 3 patients (9.4%) as stage 4. There were 12 patients (37.5%) at low risk, 17 patients (53.1%) at intermediate risk and 3 patients at high risk according to Children's Oncology Group (COG) risk classification system. All patients underwent tumor resection. Postoperatively Horner's syndrome occurred in 13 patients (40.6%), pneumonia in 9 patients (28.1%), pharyngeal dysfunction in 8 patients (25.0%) and transient hoarseness in 4 patients (12.5%). At a median follow-up of 36.5 months, the overall survival rate was 96.4%, with no significant difference between incomplete and complete resection groups (100.0% vs. 96.3%, χ2=0.19, P=0.667); the event free survival rate was 78.1%, with a significant difference between the two groups (40.0% vs. 85.2%, χ²=6.71, P=0.010). Conclusions: Primary cervical neuroblastoma has a young onset age, mostly in low and medium risk groups, and represents favorable lesions with good outcomes after multidisciplinary therapy. Less aggressive surgery with preservation of important structures is recommended. Complete resection should not be attempted if it would compromise vital structures.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This present research was designed for comparing coronary artery disease (CAD) patient outcomes following minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting surgery (MICS) or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). METHODS From 2014-2017, 679 CAD patients underwent MICS (n=281) or CABG (n=398) and were evaluated for the present study. Patient data were analyzed using 1:1 propensity score-matched assessment and a multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression model, and primary study achievements comprised major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCEs), myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac death, heart failure (HF), revascularization, and stroke. The median follow-up period was 2.68 years. RESULTS CABG patients exhibited a trend towards higher cumulative overall rates of MACCEs at 2 years (CABG: 6.2% vs. MICS: 3.8%) and 4 years (CABG: 9.3% vs. MICS: 7.6%) [adjusted hazard ratio (HR): 1.33; 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.33-5.39 for CABG vs. MICS; P=0.687], although this difference was not significant. No significant differences in 2- or 4-year cardiac death rates were observed between groups (CABG: 3.5%, 5.6% vs. MICS 2.8%, 2.8%; adjusted HR: 0.23; 95% CI: 0.03-1.81 for CABG vs. MICS; P=0.160). Further, there existed no discrepancies in rates of MI (P=1.000), HF (adjusted HR: 4.76; 95% CI: 0.01-6.40 for CABG vs. MICS; P=0.996), stroke (adjusted HR: 9.58; 95% CI: 0.11-25.24 for CABG vs. MICS; P=0.320), or repeated revascularization (adjusted HR: 1.71; 95% CI: 0.01-7.21 for CABG vs. MICS; P=0.631) when comparing these patient groups. In a multivariable Cox proportional hazards regression analysis, patients that were male (adjusted HR: 5.28; 95% CI: 1.48-18.83; P=0.010) and cases with a history of previous MI epsiodes (adjusted HR: 3.20; 95% CI: 1.09-9.37; P=0.034) were found to be at a higher risk of MACCEs. CONCLUSIONS Follow-up data indicated that the MICS and CABG treatments could achieve similar outcomes.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the efficacy and prognostic factors in children with parameningeal rhabdomyosarcoma (PMRMS) treated by 125I brachytherapy combined with chemotherapy. Methods: A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 33 pediatric patients treated with 125I brachytherapy combined with chemotherapy in Peking University Stomatological Hospital from July 2013 to October 2018 was carried out to analyze the efficacy and prognostic factors. Results: Among the 33 patients, 19 were males and 14 were females; the median age was 4 years old (1-12 years old). There were 17 cases with embryonic type, 9 cases with alveolar type, and 7 with undifferentiated type; 26 cases with original PMRMS, and 7 cases with recurrent PMRMS. The tumors occurred in subtemporal-mastoid area in 15 patients, while nasopalatine-paranasal area in 6 cases, and parapharyngeal-submandibular area in 12 cases. There were 28 patients in IRS Ⅲ, and 5 patients in IRS Ⅳ. As for the risk level, 28 cases were in the middle-risk group and 5 cases in the high-risk group. The median follow-up time was 52 months. The 1, 3, and 5-year local control rates were 87.9%, 58.6%, and 49.9%, and the 1, 3, and 5-year survival rates were 93.8%, 60.5%, and 47.5%, respectively. The 5-year local control rate and 5-year survival rate of 12 patients with the tumor in the parapharyngeal-submandibular area were 91.7% and 100%, respectively. The 5-year local control rate and 5-year survival rate of the 6 patients with tumor in the nasopalatine-paranasal area were both 83.3%. The 3-year local control rate and 3-year survival rate of the 15 patients with tumor in the subtemporal-mastoid area were 17.5% and 21.4%. The multivariate survival analysis using Cox proportional risk regression model showed that the tumor located in the subtemporal-mastoid area was an independent risk factor affecting the 5-year overall survival rate (HR=38.40, 95%CI: 4.87-302.52, P=0.001). Within 3 months after 125I seed implantation, the incidence of acute radiotherapy adverse reactions in all patients was 84.8% (28/33). Twenty-one patients (63.6%) had a grade 1 acute radiotherapy reaction, and 7 cases (21.2%) had a grade 2 acute radiotherapy reaction. No acute radiotherapy adverse reactions of grade 3 or 4 occurred. Three months after 125I seed implantation, the adverse reactions were significantly alleviated, and no adverse reactions of grade 3 or above such as skin ulcer or salivary gland fibrosis occurred, and no serious cranio-maxillofacial deformities occurred. Conclusions: 125I seed brachytherapy combined with chemotherapy has a definite clinical effect in the treatment of children with parameningeal rhabdomyosarcoma. The prognosis of rhabdomyosarcoma in the parapharyngeal-submandibular area and nasopalatine-paranasal area is better than that in the subtemporal-mastoid area.

Abstract
Introduction Rapid and accurate pathogen identification is essential for the treatment of pneumonia. Metagenomic next‐generation sequencing (mNGS) is a newly developed technology to obtain microbial nucleic acid sequence information quickly, efficiently, and without bias. Methods We performed shotgun metagenomic next‐generation sequencing (mNGS) of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) for pathogen identification in pneumonia in a prospective study with 138 patients from a single center. We compared the results of mNGS with standard methods including culture, staining, and targeted PCR and evaluated the clinical applicability of mNGS. Results Most of the patients (128/138, 92.75%) were cured or improved. One patient (1/138, 0.72%) died because of acute gastrointestinal bleeding, and 9 patients (9/138, 6.52%) showed no improvement. mNGS identified more bacteria (53 versus 27), fewer fungi (8 versus 31), and more viruses (16 versus 1) than standard methods. In total, treatment in 34 out of 138 cases (24.64%) was adjusted and optimized because of mNGS results. Positive mNGS results contributed to a definitive diagnosis in 23 cases (16.67%), which helped guide treatment decision by either adjusting the antibiotics without de‐escalation or continuing the empirical treatment. mNGS also confirmed no active infection in 11 cases (7.97%) allowed for antibiotic de‐escalation. Conclusion This prospective clinical study evaluated the clinical utility of mNGS for the diagnosis of pneumonia and showed that mNGS of BALF provides valuable information for effective treatment.

Abstract
Soil surface management, i.e., mulch by film, straw or cover crop, is very important to water availability in soil on drylands worldwide, especially during the fallow season, when there is a high concentration of soil nitrate nitrogen (N) to produce nitrous oxide (N2O). To determine whether soil surface management affects N2O emissions during the fallow season, we conducted an experiment to compare N2O emissions from a wheat field that received different surface soil management strategies: control (CK), straw mulch and incorporation (SR), planting legume green manure and incorporation (GM), SR plus GM (SR + GM), and plastic film mulch (FM). The results showed that the average hourly N2O emissions during the fallow season were in the order SR (7.4 μg N m-2 h-1), GM (10.7 μg N m-2 h-1), SR + GM (11.7 μg N m-2 h-1), FM (15.5 μg N m-2 h-1), and CK (16.4 μg N m-2 h-1). Correspondingly, reduced total N2O emissions were observed in the SR, GM and SR + GM treatments, with an average reduction of 39.0% (from 302 to 184 g N ha-1) while increased N2O emissions were from the GM and SR + GM treatments in the wheat growing season. Additionally, N2O emissions were related to soil nitrate N content, microbial biomass and moisture. Overall, considering N2O emissions, C and N inputs by plant residues and grain yield, the management of GM has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve soil C sequestration and soil fertility. These results emphasized the importance of legume green manure to wheat-fallow cropping systems.

Abstract
Weight pruning methods of deep neural networks (DNNs) have been demonstrated to achieve a good model pruning rate without loss of accuracy, thereby alleviating the significant computation/storage requirements of large-scale DNNs. Structured weight pruning methods have been proposed to overcome the limitation of irregular network structure and demonstrated actual GPU acceleration. However, in prior work, the pruning rate (degree of sparsity) and GPU acceleration are limited (to less than 50%) when accuracy needs to be maintained. In this work, we overcome these limitations by proposing a unified, systematic framework of structured weight pruning for DNNs. It is a framework that can be used to induce different types of structured sparsity, such as filterwise, channelwise, and shapewise sparsity, as well as nonstructured sparsity. The proposed framework incorporates stochastic gradient descent (SGD; or ADAM) with alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) and can be understood as a dynamic regularization method in which the regularization target is analytically updated in each iteration. Leveraging special characteristics of ADMM, we further propose a progressive, multistep weight pruning framework and a network purification and unused path removal procedure, in order to achieve higher pruning rate without accuracy loss. Without loss of accuracy on the AlexNet model, we achieve 2.58× and 3.65× average measured speedup on two GPUs, clearly outperforming the prior work. The average speedups reach 3.15× and 8.52× when allowing a moderate accuracy loss of 2%. In this case, the model compression for convolutional layers is 15.0× , corresponding to 11.93× measured CPU speedup. As another example, for the ResNet-18 model on the CIFAR-10 data set, we achieve an unprecedented 54.2× structured pruning rate on CONV layers. This is 32× higher pruning rate compared with recent work and can further translate into 7.6× inference time speedup on the Adreno 640 mobile GPU compared with the original, unpruned DNN model. Abstract
Purpose To investigate the phenotypic and genomic characteristics of the multi-drug resistant and hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae strain recovered from bacteremia. Methods Antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) was performed by the microdilution method. Antimicrobial resistance genes, virulence-associated genes, multilocus sequence typing (MLST), and plasmid replicon were characterized by next-generation sequencing (NGS) and nanopore sequencing. S1 nuclease-pulsed field gel electrophoresis (S1-PFGE) and Southern blotting were performed to characterize the plasmid profile. Results The hypervirulent colistin- and carbapenem-resistant K. pneumoniae strain DY2009 was identified as ST5571, co-carrying mcr-1, bla NDM-1, and bla OXA-10. In silico analysis found that it was K2 serotype. AST results revealed that DY2009 was resistant to carbapenems, cephalosporins, ciprofloxacin, chloramphenicol, and colistin but remained susceptible to aztreonam, gentamicin, amikacin, and tigecycline. Through the whole-genome analysis, a variety of virulence determinants were identified, including rmpA. Plasmid analysis confirmed that the mcr-1 and bla NDM-1 gene harbored a ~33 kb IncX4 plasmid and a ~44 kb IncX3 plasmid. In contrast, bla OXA-10 was encoded by chromosome. Conclusion To the best of our knowledge, we first report the clinical hypervirulent K. pneumoniae isolate co-producing MCR-1, NDM-1, and OXA-10 causing bacteremia. We found that mcr-1 and bla NDM-1 genes were located on two self-conjugative epidemic plasmids, contributing to the widespread MCR-1 and NDM-1 in China. The results of this work improve our understanding of the genetic background of colistin- and carbapenem-resistant K. pneumoniae isolate from bacteremia and the resistance mechanisms. Our findings highlight the urgent need for infection control of such strain to prevent it from becoming an extensive-drug resistant clone.

Abstract
Adventitious shoot (AS) regeneration accelerates plant reproduction and genetic transformation. WOX11 is involved in many biological processes, but its regulation of AS regeneration has not been reported. Here, we showed that the genotype and CK/IAA ratio of apple leaves were the key factors that affected their capacity for AS formation. Moreover, the expression level of MdWOX11 was negatively correlated with the capacity for AS formation. Phenotypic analysis of MdWOX11 transgenic plants showed that overexpression of MdWOX11 inhibited AS formation. Endogenous hormone analysis demonstrated that the contents of auxin (IAA), cytokinin (CK), and abscisic acid (ABA) were higher in MdWOX11-RNAi plants than in MdWOX11-OE transgenic plants. We used RNA sequencing to examine the transcriptional responses of genes in MdWOX11-RNAi and MdWOX11-OE transgenic apple plants at different AS stages. We identified 8066 differentially expressed genes and focused our analysis on those involved in the IAA, CK, ABA, and gibberellin (GA) hormone signaling pathways. The expression of genes related to the CK signaling pathway and shoot development was higher in GL-3 than in MdWOX11-OE transgenic plants during the callus and AS emergence stages. However, the expression of MdCKX5 was higher in MdWOX11-OE transgenic plants than in GL3 and MdWOX11-RNAi transgenic plants. Yeast one-hybrid (Y1H) assays, dual-luciferase reporter assays, and ChIP-qPCR showed that MdWOX11 binds to the promoter of MdCKX5, and a dual-luciferase reporter assay showed that MdWOX11 enhanced the promoter activity of MdCKX5. We concluded that MdCKX5 acts downstream of MdWOX11 to control AS formation, and we built a regulatory model of the suppression of AS formation by MdWOX11 in apple.

Abstract
As pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with congenital heart disease (PAH‐CHD) may increase maternal and fetal risk, this study explored the pregnancy outcomes of Chinese women with PAH‐CHD. The clinical data of pregnant women with PAH‐CHD admitted to the Beijing Anzhen Hospital from 2010 to 2019 were retrospectively analyzed; these patients and their offspring were followed up, with a mean period of 5.9 ± 2.7 years. Overall, 260 patients with PAH‐CHD were included. The mean maternal age was 27.7 ± 4.1 years, and 205 (78.8%) patients were nulliparous. The estimated systolic pulmonary artery pressure was 40–50 mmHg in 34.6% of the patients, 50–70 mmHg in 23.1%, and >70 mmHg in 42.3%. More than 96% of patients were diagnosed with PAH‐CHD before pregnancy. During pregnancy, heart failure occurred in 19.2% of the patients. Cesarean delivery was performed in 88.1% (15.0% emergency) of the patients. Complications included fetal distress (5.8%), preterm delivery (34.2%), and low birth weight (33.8%). A total of 15 mothers (5.8%) died, with the highest mortality rate in those with Eisenmenger syndrome (10/43, 23.3%), and 10 offspring died (3.8%), two (0.8%) following hospital discharge and eight (3.1%) while in hospital. Although most pregnant women with PAH‐CHD were able to have children, PAH increased the maternal and fetal risk. Thus, an individualized risk‐based approach with shared decision‐making may be more appropriate in pregnant women with PAH‐CHD.

Abstract
Objective: To summarize changes of serum immunoglobulin levels before and after chemotherapy in children with Burkitt lymphoma (BL), so as to investigate the effects of chemotherapy and rituximab on serum immunoglobulin levels in children with BL. Methods: Clinical data of 223 children with newly diagnosed Burkitt lymphoma at Beijing Children's Hospital from January 2009 to April 2017 were analyzed retrospectively. They were treated according to the modified LMB 89 regimen and some of them received combined rituximab therapy during the chemotherapy. The serum immunoglobulin (IgA, IgM, IgG) before chemotherapy, at the time of discontinuing chemotherapy, as well as 6, 12, 24, 36 months after chemotherapy were collected. Changes of serum IgA, IgM and IgG with time among different treatment groups were compared using repeated measures ANOVA. Results: According to risk group, 223 children were devided into group B(n=53)and group C(n=170). Before chemotherapy, 109 cases (48.9%) were combined with hypogammaglobulinemia. The serum IgA, IgM, and IgG levels of all the patients were (0.9±0.7), 1.2 (0.5, 1.3) and (7.2±2.9) g/L before chemotherapy, (0.5±0.4), 0.2 (0.1, 0.3) and (6.3±2.3) g/L at the time of discontinuing chemotherapy (t=13.63, Z=-11.99, t=4.57, all P<0.05). There were statistical difference in IgA, IgM levels of group B and IgA, IgM, IgG levels of group C before chemotherapy and at the time of discontinuing chemotherapy (t=8.86, Z=-6.28, t=11.19, Z=-10.15, t=4.50, all P<0.05). The differences of serum IgA and IgG levels at the time after chemotherapy among patients treated with chemotherapy alone and those treated with chemotherapy combined rituximab in group B and C were significant (F=5.38, P=0.002 and F=4.22, P=0.007). Conclusions: Approximately half of children with BL have already existed hypogammaglobulinemia at initial diagnosis prior to the start of treatment. The modified LMB 89 regimen have significant effect on humoral immunity of children with BL. In the process of immune reconstruction after chemotherapy, rituximab has more significant effect on serum IgA and IgG levels in BL patients.

Abstract
T lymphocyte and macrophage infiltration in the aortic wall is critical for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). However, how T lymphocytes interact with macrophages in the pathogenesis of AAA remains largely uncharacterized. In an elastase-induced murine AAA model, we first found that the expression of pyruvate kinase muscle isozyme 2 (PKM2), the last rate-limiting enzyme in glycolysis, was increased in infiltrated T lymphocytes of vascular lesions. T lymphocyte-specific PKM2 deficiency in mice (LckCrePKM2fl/fl) or intraperitoneal administration of the sphingomyelinase inhibitor GW4869 caused a significant attenuation of the elastase-increased aortic diameter, AAA incidence, elastic fiber disruption, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) expression, and macrophage infiltration in the vascular adventitia compared with those in PKM2fl/fl mice. Mechanistically, extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from PKM2-activated T lymphocytes elevated macrophage iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and migration in vitro, while macrophages treated with EVs from PKM2-null T lymphocytes or pretreated with the lipid peroxidation inhibitors ferrostatin-1 (Fer-1), liproxstatin-1 (Lip-1), or the iron chelating agent deferoxamine mesylate (DFOM) reversed these effects. In vascular lesions of elastase-induced LckCrePKM2fl/fl mice with AAA, the oxidant system weakened, with downregulated 4-hydroxynonenal (4-HNE) levels and strengthened antioxidant defense systems with upregulated glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) and cystine/glutamate antiporter solute carrier family 7 member 11 (Slc7a11) expressions in macrophages. High-throughput metabolomics showed that EVs derived from PKM2-activated T lymphocytes contained increased levels of polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA)-containing phospholipids, which may provide abundant substrates for lipid peroxidation in target macrophages. More importantly, upregulated T lymphocyte PKM2 expression was also found in clinical AAA subjects, and EVs isolated from AAA patient plasma enhanced macrophage iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and migration ex vivo. Therefore, from cell-cell crosstalk and metabolic perspectives, the present study shows that PKM2-activated T lymphocyte-derived EVs may drive AAA progression by promoting macrophage redox imbalance and migration, and targeting the T lymphocyte-EV-macrophage axis may be a potential strategy for early warning and treating AAA.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Ventricular septal rupture (VSR) is a rare and fatal complication of myocardial infarction. Surgery is the main treatment for the condition. It is currently believed that surgery is less effective for posterior VSR than for anterior VSR. The objective of this study was to investigate the clinical outcomes of surgical treatment for myocardial infarction combined with an anterior or posterior VSR. METHODS This was a single-center, retrospective, observational, cohort study. Clinical data of 68 patients with myocardial infarction combined with VSR were retrospectively analyzed. According to the site of the VSR, patients were divided into the anterior (43 cases) and posterior (25 cases) VSR groups, and the general clinical data, preoperative examination results, surgery, and follow-up results were compared between the two groups. RESULTS Compared with the anterior VSR group, the operative time in the posterior VSR group was longer {300 [240, 360] vs. 360 [300, 400] min; P=0.003}, and the cardiopulmonary bypass time was longer (142.0±52.2 vs. 180.2±52.3 min; P=0.005), and the aortic clamp time was longer (84.0±32.5 vs. 115.9±39.8 min; P=0.001). There were no significant differences in the incidence of perioperative complications, including bleeding, low cardiac output, pulmonary, and cerebrovascular complications, and the incidence of perioperative death between the two groups (P>0.05). The patients were followed up for 1.0-10.5 (median, 4.2) years. There were no significant differences in the survival rate and the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCEs) including myocardial infarction, heart failure, revascularization, and cerebrovascular events between the two groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS The perioperative risks and medium- and long-term outcomes of the surgical repair of anterior or posterior VSR after myocardial infarction were similar.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical phenotype and screen the genetic mutations of hereditary deafness in three deaf families to clarify their molecular biology etiology. Methods: From January 2019 to January 2020, three deaf children and family members were collected for medical history, physical examination, audiology evaluation, electrocardiogram and cardiac color Doppler ultrasound, temporal bone CT examination, and peripheral blood DNA was obtained for high-throughput sequencing of deafness genes. Sanger sequencing was performed to verify the variant sites among family members. The pathogenicity of the variants was evaluated according to the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Results: The probands in the three families had deafness phenotypes. In family 1, proband had multiple lentigines, special facial features, growth retardation, pectus carinatum, abnormal skin elasticity, cryptorchidism and other manifestations. In family 2, proband had special facial features, growth retardation and abnormal heart, and the proband in family 3 had growth retardation and abnormal electrocardiogram. Genetic testing of three families detected three heterozygous mutations in the PTPN11 gene: c.1391G>C (p.Gly464Ala), c.1510A>G (p.Met504Val), c.1502G>A (p.Arg501Lys). All three sites were missense mutations, and the mutation sites were highly conserved among multiple homologous species. Based on clinical manifestations and genetic test results, proband 1 was diagnosed with multiple lentigines Noonan syndrome, and probands 2 and 3 were diagnosed with Noonan syndrome. Conclusion: Missense mutations in the PTPN11 gene may be the cause of the disease in the three deaf families. This study enriches the clinical phenotype and mutation spectrum of the PTPN11 gene in the Chinese population.
