Abstract
We study the response of a thermal state of an Ising chain to a nonlocal non-Hermitian perturbation, which coalesces the topological Kramer-like degeneracy in the ferromagnetic phase. The dynamic responses for initial thermal states in different quantum phases are distinct. The final state always approaches its half component with a fixed parity in the ferromagnetic phase but remains almost unchanged in the paramagnetic phase. This indicates that the phase diagram at zero temperature is completely preserved at finite temperatures. Numerical simulations for Loschmidt echoes demonstrate such dynamical behaviors in finite-size systems. In addition, it provides a clear manifestation of the bulk-boundary correspondence at nonzero temperatures. This work presents an alternative approach to understanding the quantum phase transitions of quantum spin systems at nonzero temperatures.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Metastatic prostate cancer is a fatal disease despite multiple new approvals in recent years. Recent studies revealed that circular RNAs (circRNAs) can be involved in cancer metastasis. Defining the role of circRNAs in prostate cancer metastasis and discovering therapeutic targets that block cancer metastasis is of great significance for the treatment of prostate cancer. METHODS The circSOBP levels in prostate cancer (PCa) were determined by qRT-PCR. We evaluated the function of circSOBP using a transwell assay and nude mice lung metastasis models. Immunofluorescence assay and electron microscopic assay were applied to determine the phenotypes of prostate cancer cells' migration. We used fluorescence in situ hybridization assay to determine the localization of RNAs. Dual luciferase and rescue assays were applied to verify the interactions between circSOBP, miR-141-3p, MYPT1, and phosphomyosin light chain (p-MLC2). RESULTS We observed that circSOBP level was significantly lower in PCa specimens compared with adjacent noncancerous prostate specimens, and was correlated with the grade group of PCa. Overexpression of circSOBP suppressed PCa migration and invasion in vitro and metastasis in vivo. CircSOBP depletion increased migration and invasion and induced amoeboid migration of PCa cells. Mechanistically, circSOBP bound miR-141-3p and regulated the MYPT1/p-MLC2 axis. Moreover, the depletion of MYPT1 reversed the inhibitory effect of circSOBP on the migration and invasion of PCa cells. Complementary intronic Alu elements induced but were not necessary for the formation of circSOBP. The nuclear export of circSOBP was mediated by URH49. CONCLUSION Our results suggest that circSOBP suppresses amoeboid migration of PCa cells and inhibits migration and invasion through sponging miR-141-3p and regulating the MYPT1/p-MLC2 axis.

Abstract
The biosynthesis and transport of nicotine has been shown to be coordinately upregulated by jasmonate (JA). MYC2, a member of basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor family, is well-documented as the core player in the JA signalling pathway to regulate diverse plant development processes. Four MYC2 genes were found in the tobacco genome, NtMYC2a/2b and 1a/1b. In this study, we tested whether one of them, NtMYC2a, acts as a 'master switch' in the regulation of nicotine biosynthesis and transport in tobacco. We generated NtMYC2a knockout tobacco plants using the CRISPR-Cas9 technique and analysed the effect of NtMYC2a knockout on expression of the nicotine biosynthesis genes (NtAO, NtQS, NtPMT1a, NtQPT2, NtODC2, NtMPO1, NtA622 and NtBBLa) and transport genes (NtMATE2 and NtJAT1), as well as leaf accumulation of nicotine in the NtMYC2a knockout plants. We found that all the nicotine biosynthesis and transport genes tested in this study were significantly downregulated (>50% reduction compared with wild-type control) in the NtMYC2a knockout plants. Moreover, the leaf nicotine content in knockout plants was dramatically reduced by ca 80% compared with the wild-type control. These results clearly show that NtMYC2a acts as a 'master switch' to coordinate JA-induced nicotine accumulation in tobacco and suggests that NtMYC2a might play an important role in tobacco nicotine-mediated defence against herbivory.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Regional longitudinal left ventricular (LV) dysfunction in patients with mitral regurgitation (MR) due to valve prolapse (MVP) with normal ejection fraction has been recently described, with data pointing at dysfunction of the LV base related to dilatation of the mitral annulus.
Purpose
To investigate degree and extent of regional LV dysfunction and its mechanisms in patients with MVP and severe acute (MRa, n=27) or chronic (MRc, n=41) MR and no coronary disease, undergoing surgical valve repair with 3 months follow-up (FU); 20 normal subjects were used as controls (N).
Methods
Speckle-tracking echocardiography was performed pre- (Bas), 1 week (1w) and 4 months (4mo) post-operatively to measure longitudinal global (GLPSS, %), regional (RPSS, %) and segmental (SPSS) peak systolic strain. Maximum and minimum mitral annulus (MA) diameters were measured with 3D echo at Bas. We also evaluated: LV end-diastolic volume index (EDVi, ml/m2); ejection fraction (EF, %); left atrial end-systolic volume index (LAVi, ml/m2); non-invasive pulmonary systolic pressure (PSP, mmHg).
Results
Risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, smoke and previous stroke) were similar in MRc and MRa. At Bas EDVi was larger by definition in MRc (MRc: 102±21, MRa: 67±10 ml/m2, p<0.001) as LAVi (101±46 vs 76±31 ml/m2, p=0.035). Both EF (65±8 vs 64±8 ml/m2) and GLPSS (−20±4 vs −21±5%) were normal, but RPSS was reduced, only at the base (−13±6 vs −13±6%, p= ns; N: −18±2, p<0.03 vs MRc and MRa) in MRc and MRa, with reduced SPSS localized at anterior, lateral and posterior – but not septal – segments. At 1w, EF decreased in both MRc (47±14%, p<0.001 vs Bas) and MRa (56±10%, p=0.014 vs Bas), together with GLPSS (MRc: −11±4%, p<0.001 vs Bas; MRa; −13±4, p<0.001 vs Bas) driven by a prevalent marked decrease in RPSS (MRc: −7±4%, p<0.001 vs Bas; MRa; −8±5, p<0.001 vs Bas) of the LV base. All patients were alive at 3 months with no MACEs, similar reduction of mean MR grade (MRc: 4±0 to 1.9±0.7, p<0.001; MRa: 3.9±0.3 to 0.9±0.9, p<0.001) and PSP (MRc: 50±23 to 29±5 mmHg, p<0.001; MRa: 42±22 to 32±6 mmHg, p=0.039), normal EDVi (MRc: 70±27, MRa: 49±10 ml/m2), dilated LAVi (MRc: 101±46, MRa: 54±13 ml/m2), and reduced GLPSS (MRc: −12±5%, p<0.001 vs Bas; MRa; −15±3, p=0.001 vs Bas) and base RPSS (MRc: −7±6%, p=0.004 vs Bas; MRa; −10±4, p= ns vs Bas). At multivariate analysis, regional dysfunction was not related to the prolapsing scallop, presence of flail, commissure involvement, dimension and geometry of the MA, EF or pulmonary pressures.
Conclusions
In patients with MVP and severe MR, there is a specific regional longitudinal dysfunction pattern prevalent at the LV base which may be related to the duration of MR but not to annular dilatation or morphology of the prolapsing leaflets. The dysfunction worsens greatly following acute reduction of preload after surgical repair and is still significant at 4mo FU.

Abstract
As a malignant tumor of the central nervous system, glioma exhibits high incidence and poor prognosis. Circular RNA HIPK3 (circHIPK3) is a circular RNA (circRNA) related to cancer progression. However, the role of circHIPK3 in gliomas remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of circHIPK3 in gliomas and its mechanism. The qRT-PCR method was used to determine the expression pattern of circHIPK3 in glioma cell lines. CCK-8 assay was used to detect cell proliferation. Cell migration and invasion were evaluated using the Transwell assay. Our results showed that circHIPK3 expression was significantly up-regulated in glioma tissues and cell lines. In vitro, the down-regulation of circHIPK3 significantly inhibited the proliferation, migration and invasion of glioma cells. Besides, we demonstrated that circHIPK3 acted as a sponge to absorb miR-124 and promoted CCND2 expression. In summary, our results indicated that circHIPK3 had carcinogenic effects by regulating the expression of CCND2 in glioma by sponging miR-124. These findings provided favorable evidence to reveal the role of circHIPK3 in the development of gliomas.

Abstract
Since cases first emerged in December 2019, COVID‐19 (a type of coronavirus) has rapidly become pandemic. This fast‐tracked paper (published quickly) from China on COVID‐19 is written by dermatologists at the epicentre of the outbreak in Wuhan. Dermatology clinic staff may be at risk because protective equipment is not routinely available, and skin lesions might possibly transmit the virus indirectly. These authors suggest preventive measures based on experience in this and previous coronavirus outbreaks. Online consultation for non‐urgent patients reduces the numbers of patients attending clinics. Nurse‐led triage, to identify patients with possible COVID‐19, at the entrances of hospital and skin clinics directs patients with a cough or fever to a specific COVID‐19 area and a dermatologist is consulted if the fever might be related to skin disease. Clinic staff wear N95 masks and observe hand hygiene during consultations. Patients are admitted to a ward only if routine blood tests and chest CT scans exclude COVID‐19. Triage will not detect patients who are showing no symptoms but who are developing the disease, so the hospital should provide an on‐call expert team to discuss inpatients suspected or diagnosed with COVID‐19 and refer them to radiology, respiratory or intensive care colleagues as required. Confirmed cases are managed following local policies. Skin disorders in COVID‐19 inpatients can usually be managed remotely using photographs, email and teleconferencing. If necessary a multidisciplinary team (a team of medical staff from different specialties) can meet in the clean area of the isolation ward. If the dermatologist must see the patient, all records should be provided in advance to minimise exposure time. With these precautions, as of 20th February 2020 no infected patients were detected in the Wuhan Dermatology Department. Abstract
The C═N double bond of 2H-imidazole has been employed as a C-electrophile for the ruthenium(II)-catalyzed [3 + 2] spiroannulation reaction of 4-phenyl-2H-imidazoles and 2-alkynoates to synthesize spiroimidazole-4,1'-indenes. This strategy features high regioselectivity, broad functional group tolerance, and use of ruthenium as a catalyst, providing a new method to synthesize spirocycles with potential applications in pharmaceuticals.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study was designed to explore the combined effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and human umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cells (hUCB-MSCs) transplantation on neural stem cell proliferation in rats with spinal cord injury (SCI). MATERIAL AND METHODS SCI was induced in 90 rats by laminectomy at T10. Fifteen rats each were treated with 0.5 Hz rTMS or 10 Hz rTMS or underwent hUCB-MSC transplantation; 15 each were treated with 0.5 Hz rTMS+hUCB-MSCs or 10 Hz rTMS+hUCB-MSCs; and 15 were untreated (control group). The Basso, Beattie, and Bresnahan (BBB) scores and motor evoked potentials (MEPs) were measured, and all rats underwent biotin dextran-amine (BDA) tracing of the corticospinal tract (CST). The levels of expression of neural stem cell proliferation related proteins, including BrdU, nestin, Tuj1, Ng2+ and GFAP, were measured, and the levels of bFGF and EGF determined by Western blotting. RESULTS BBB scores and MEPs were increased after rTMS and hUCB-MSC transplantation, while histologically determined SCI-induced neuron apoptosis was attenuated. The numbers of BDA-positive fibers and Brdu-, nestin- and Tuj1-positive cells were markedly increased and the numbers of Ng2+- and GFAP-positive cells were markedly decreased following treatment with rTMS alone or rTMS plus hUCB-MSC transplantation. The levels of expression of bFGF and EGF were significantly upregulated following rTMS treatment and hUCB-MSC transplantation. Higher performance was observed after combined treatment with rTMS and hUCB-MSC transplantation than after either alone. CONCLUSIONS The combination of rTMS treatment and hUCB-MSC transplantation could attenuate SCI-induced neural stem cell apoptosis and motor dysfunction in rats.

Abstract
Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) have attracted increasing attention for their important regulation functions in a wide range of malignancies. AGAP2-AS1 was demonstrated as an oncogene in several cancers, including glioblastoma (GBM). However, the biological mechanisms of AGAP2-AS1 in GBM progression are still unclear. Herein, we found that AGAP2-AS1 expression was up-regulated in GBM tissues and cells. High AGAP2-AS1 expression may predict a poor prognosis in GBM patients. Functionally, silencing of AGAP2-AS1 suppressed proliferation and invasion, while enhanced apoptosis in GBM cells. Overexpression of AGAP2-AS1 promoted cell proliferation and invasion. Mechanically, AGAP2-AS1 could interact with EZH2 and LSD1, recruiting them to TFPI2 promoter region to inhibit its transcription. Moreover, TFPI2 overexpression decreased proliferation and invasion, and facilitated apoptosis in GBM cells. Furthermore, the tumor-suppressive effects mediated by AGAP2-AS1 knockdown were greatly reversed following down-regulation of TFPI2. Also, suppression of AGAP2-AS1 impaired tumor growth of GBM in vivo. In summary, AGAP2-AS1 exerts oncogenic functions in GBM by epigenetically silencing TFPI2 expression through binding to EZH2 and LSD1, illuminating a novel mechanism of AGAP2-AS1 in GBM development and furnishing a prospective therapeutic method to combat GBM.

Abstract
During the mandibular condylar growth, the absorption of calcified cartilage matrix induced by osteoclasts is crucial for the continuous endochondral osteogenesis. Meanwhile, recent studies showed that subchondral bone resided within the low-oxygen microenvironment, and our previous study revealed that hypoxia-inducible transcription factor 1α (HIF-1α) promoted osteoclastogenesis under hypoxia. However, whether HIF-1α regulates the function of osteoclasts in the mandibular condyle cartilage remains elusive. Our study indicated that severe deformity of the mandibular condyle was displayed in 10-wk-old osteoclast-specific HIF-1α conditional knockout (CKO) mice, accompanied by shortened length of condylar process and disorganized fibrocartilage. In 1-, 2-, and 4-wk-old CKO mice, the size of the hypertrophic layer and chondrocytic layer was significantly thickened. In the chondrocytic layer, chondrocytes were atrophied, showing a form of apoptosis in 4-wk-old CKO mice. Furthermore, an increase in the thickness of the fibrous and proliferating layer was observed in 10-wk-old CKO mice, as well as a significant decrease in that of the chondrocytic and hypertrophic chondrocyte layers. Interestingly, the articular surface of the condylar process abnormally presented a horizontal concave shape, and a disk-like acellular connective tissue appeared. In addition, genetic ablation of HIF-1α blunted cartilage matrix loss by subchondral osteoclast deficiency, resulting in a high subchondral bone mass phenotype, accompanied with a decreased number of blood vessels, alkaline phosphatase staining, and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression. Mechanistically, the number of osteoclasts in the center of the condyle in CKO mice was significantly reduced by attenuated expression of adenosine 5′-monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) signaling. These findings reveal a novel influence of HIF-1α function in osteoclasts on maintenance of osteoclast-induced resorption of calcified cartilage matrix via AMPK signaling, as well as subchondral bone formation through VEGF-dependent angiogenesis in bone marrow.

Abstract
AIMS Accumulating evidence elucidates the biological significance of long non-coding RNA (lncRNAs) in tumorigenesis and development. FGD5 antisense RNA 1 (FGD5-AS1) was previously revealed as an oncogene in several types of malignancies. However, the roles of FGD5-AS1 in glioblastoma (GBM) and its potential molecular mechanisms remain unclear. MATERIALS AND METHODS The expression of FGD5-AS1, miR-129-5p, and heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K (HNRNPK) mRNA were measured by qRT-PCR. Cell proliferation, invasion and apoptosis were determined by MTT, colony formation, transwell and flow cytometry assays. The protein levels of Ki-67, HNRNPK and Wnt signaling-associated genes were examined by western blot assay. The possible action mechanism of FGD5-AS1 was detected by bioinformatic tools, luciferase reporter, RIP and TOP/FOP Flash reporter assays. A nude mouse xenograft model was built to analyze the function of FGD5-AS1 in vivo. KEY FINDINGS FGD5-AS1 expression was increased in GBM tumor tissues and cells. Knockdown of FGD5-AS1 inhibited cell proliferation and invasion in vitro, and slowed tumor growth in vivo. Mechanistically, FGD5-AS1 served as a sponge of miR-129-5p to relieve its suppression on HNRNPK. Moreover, down-regulation of HNRNPK repressed cell proliferation and invasion, while enhanced apoptosis. Additionally, si-FGD5-AS1-mediated suppression of cell proliferation and invasion was obviously reversed by the decrease of miR-129-5p or restoration of HNRNPK. Furthermore, FGD5-AS1 promoted cell growth and invasion by stimulating Wnt/β-catenin signaling via regulation of miR-129-5p/HNRNPK. SIGNIFICANCE FGD5-AS1 promoted GBM progression at least partly by regulating miR-129-5p/HNRNPK to activate Wnt/β-catenin signaling, suggesting the potential of FGD5-AS1 as a candidate target to improve GBM therapy.

Abstract
Background:The clnical features of psoriatic arthritis(PsA)greatly varied in reports fomr different countries.There was no exact data in China.Objectives:To disclose the characteristics of PsA in China, we initiated an investigation it in our cohort of PsA patients.Methods:A cross-sectional observational study was conducted in our PsA cohort of Peking University First Hospital. All the clinical and imaging data at the patient’s first visit were collected, including the age, gender, disease course, skin lesion, arthritis, dactylitis, enthesis, laboratory tests, concomitant diseases and so on.Results:Two hundred and seventy-nine patients with PsA were enrolled in this study. Their mean age was 41 year-old with 132 (47.3%) female. Median disease duration was 3 years. Among these patients, 196(73.4%)patients had the skin lesion first, 47 (17.6%)patients had the arthritis first, and the other 24(9.0%) patients had the psoriasis and the arthritis at the same time. Arthritis was the most common manifestation. Polyarthritis was the most common arthritic manifestation with proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint as the most frequently involved joint. Dactylitis was observed in 89 (31.9%) patients, mostly at the second, third and fourth toe. Enthesis was found in 18 (6.5%) patients by physical examination, however, in 158 (56.5%) patients with the aid of ultrasound and MRI.Conclusion:Polyarthritis was the most common arthritis type in Chinese PsA patients, and PIP joint was the most involved joint, and the second, the middle and the fourth toe were the most frequently digits. Abstract
AIMS Pinus massoniana is one of the most widely distributed forest plants in China. In this study, we isolated a bacterial endophyte (designated FBS135) from apical buds and needles of P. massoniana. Investigations were performed to understand the effects of the strain on pine growth, its genomic features and the functions of the plasmids it carries. METHODS AND RESULTS Based on its morphological features and 16S rRNA sequence, strain FBS135 was primarily identified as Pantoea eucalypti. We found that FBS135 not only promoted the growth of P. massoniana seedlings, but also significantly increased the survival rate of pine seedlings. The whole genome of FBS135 was sequenced, which revealed that the bacterium carries one chromosome and four plasmids. Its chromosome is 4 023 751 bp in size and contains dozens of genes involved in plant symbiosis. Curing one of the four plasmids, pPant1, resulted in a decrease in the size of the FBS135 colonies and the loss of the ability to synthesize yellow pigment, indicating that this plasmid may be very important for FBS135. CONCLUSIONS Pantoea eucalypti FBS135 has a genomic basis to be implicated in plant-associated lifestyle and was established to have the capability to promote pine growth. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report that such a bacterial species, P. eucalypti, was isolated from pine trees and evidenced to have pine beneficial activities. Our results elucidate the ecological effects of endophytes on forest plants as well as endophyte-plant interaction mechanisms.

Abstract
A single unit cell contains all the information about the bulk system, including the topological feature. The topological invariant can be extracted from a finite system, which consists of several unit cells under certain environment, such as a non-Hermitian external field. We present an exact solvable non-Hermitian finite-size Kitaev chain with [Formula: see text]-symmetric chemical potentials at the symmetric point. The straightforward calculation shows that there are two kinds of Majorana edge modes in this model divided by [Formula: see text] symmetry-broken and unbroken. The one appeared in the [Formula: see text] symmetry-unbroken region can be seen as the finite-size projection of the conventional degenerate zero modes in a Hermitian infinite system with the open boundary condition. It indicates a possible variant of the bulk-edge correspondence: The number of Majorana edge modes in a finite non-Hermitian system can be the topological invariant to identify the topological phase of the corresponding bulk Hermitian system.

Abstract
We discover hidden Rashba fine structure in CH_{3}NH_{3}PbI_{3} and demonstrate its quantum control by vibrational coherence through symmetry-selective vibronic (electron-phonon) coupling. Above a critical threshold of a single-cycle terahertz pump field, a Raman phonon mode distinctly modulates the middle excitonic states with persistent coherence for more than ten times longer than the ones on two sides that predominately couple to infrared phonons. These vibronic quantum beats, together with first-principles modeling of phonon periodically modulated Rashba parameters, identify a threefold excitonic fine structure splitting, i.e., optically forbidden, degenerate dark states in between two bright ones with a narrow, ∼3 nm splitting. Harnessing of vibronic quantum coherence and symmetry inspires light-perovskite quantum control and sub-THz-cycle "Rashba engineering" of spin-split bands for ultimate multifunction device.
