Abstract
The branching fraction of the rare B_{s}^{0}→ϕμ^{+}μ^{-} decay is measured using data collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1, 2, and 6 fb^{-1}, respectively. The branching fraction is reported in intervals of q^{2}, the square of the dimuon invariant mass. In the q^{2} region between 1.1 and 6.0 GeV^{2}/c^{4}, the measurement is found to lie 3.6 standard deviations below a standard model prediction based on a combination of light cone sum rule and lattice QCD calculations. In addition, the first observation of the rare B_{s}^{0}→f_{2}^{'}(1525)μ^{+}μ^{-} decay is reported with a statistical significance of 9 standard deviations and its branching fraction is determined.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To evaluate, in a Chinese population, the performance of a screening strategy for preterm pre-eclampsia (PE) using The Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF)'s competing-risks model and to explore its clinical applicability in mainland China. METHODS This was a prospective, multicenter, observational cohort study including 10 899 women with singleton pregnancy who sought prenatal care at one of 13 hospitals, located in seven cities in mainland China, between 1 December 2017 and 30 December 2019. Mean arterial pressure (MAP), uterine artery pulsatility index (UtA-PI) and maternal serum levels of placental growth factor (PlGF) and pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A) at 11 + 0 to 13 + 6 weeks' gestation were measured and converted into multiples of the median using Chinese reference ranges. Individualized risk for preterm PE was calculated using the FMF algorithm. Prior risk was calculated based on maternal demographic characteristics and obstetric history. We evaluated the efficiency of the screening strategy using various combinations of biomarkers and analyzed its predictive performance for a composite of placenta-associated adverse pregnancy outcomes, including PE, placental abruption, small-for-gestational age (SGA) and preterm birth, at fixed false-positive rates for preterm PE. RESULTS We identified 312 pregnancies that developed PE, of which 117 cases were diagnosed as preterm PE (< 37 weeks' gestation). There were 386 pregnancies complicated by severe composite placenta-associated adverse outcome, including preterm PE, 146 cases of severe SGA (birth weight < 3rd percentile) neonate, 61 cases with placental abruption and 109 cases of early preterm birth < 34 gestational weeks. The triple-marker model containing biomarkers MAP, UtA-PI and PAPP-A achieved, at fixed false-positive rates of 10%, 15% and 20%, detection rates for preterm PE of 65.0%, 72.7% and 76.1%, respectively, and detection rates for severe composite placenta-associated adverse outcome of 34.7%, 41.7% and 46.4%, respectively. Replacing PAPP-A with PlGF or adding PlGF to the model did not improve the performance. Of women screening positive for preterm PE at a fixed 5% false-positive rate, an estimated 30% developed at least one placenta-associated adverse pregnancy outcome, including PE, placental abruption, SGA (birth weight < 10th percentile) and preterm birth < 37 weeks. CONCLUSIONS The FMF competing-risks model for preterm PE was found to be effective in screening a mainland Chinese population. Women who screened positive for preterm PE had increased risk for other placenta-associated pregnancy complications. © 2021 International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Excessive noise has negative implications for both clinicians and patients. Emergency cesarean deliveries require rapid co-ordination and communication, possibly increasing noise pollution. We aimed to determine if noise levels in the Labor and Delivery operating room were higher during emergency cesarean deliveries than during non-emergency cesarean deliveries. METHODS We conducted a prospective observational study measuring noise levels in Labor and Delivery operating rooms at a single academic medical center. Sound meters placed on anesthesia machines and events charted in the electronic medical record were used to correlate noise levels to clinical activity. Noise levels in all cesarean deliveries were recorded for one year. Deliveries were classified into two groups: non-emergency (routine or urgent) and emergency. We compared noise levels of the groups at eight time points of interest: anesthesia provider enters operating room (T1), induction (T2), five minutes before incision (T3), three minutes before incision (T4), one minute before incision (T5), time of incision (T6), delivery (T7), and five minutes before initiating emergence (T8). RESULTS Noise levels were measured for 440 cesarean deliveries. Forty were classified emergency and 400 non-emergency (304 routine, 96 urgent) procedures. Emergency cesarean deliveries were noisier at all eight time points, although the absolute difference in decibels between the two groups was modest. The difference in noise level reached statistical significance at five time points (T1, T2, T5, T6, and T7). CONCLUSION Noise levels were higher during emergency than during non-emergency cesarean deliveries.

Int J Gen Med 2021; 14:4987-5003. Abstract
Background Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM), a highly aggressive cancer, was mainly attributed to asbestos exposure. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) share similar negative features to asbestos, provoking concerns about their contribution to MPM. This study was used to identify genes associated with CNT-induced MPM. Methods Microarray datasets were available in the Gene Expression Omnibus database. The limma method was used to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in CNT-exposed MeT5A cells (GSE48855) or mice (GSE51636). Weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA) and protein–protein interaction (PPI) network construction were conducted to screen hub DEGs. The mRNA expression levels of hub DEGs were validated on MPM samples of GSE51024, GSE2549 and GSE42977 datasets, and their diagnostic efficacy was determined by receiver operating characteristic curve analysis. The prognostic values of hub DEGs were assessed using online tools based on The Cancer Genome Atlas data. Their functions were annotated by Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID) enrichment and correlation with immune cells and markers. Results WGCNA identified that two modules were associated with disease status. Thirty-one common DEGs in the GSE48855 and GSE51636 datasets were overlapped with the genes in these two modules. Twenty of them had a high degree centrality (≥4) in the PPI network. Four DEGs (FN1, fibronectin 1; UGCG, UDP-glucose ceramide glucosyltransferase; CHPF2, chondroitin polymerizing factor 2; and THBS2, thrombospondin 2) could predict the overall survival, and they were confirmed to be upregulated in MPM samples compared with controls. Also, they could effectively predict the MPM risk, with an overall accuracy of >0.9. DAVID analysis revealed FN1, CHPF2 and THBS2 functioned in cell-ECM interactions; UGCG influenced glycosphingolipid metabolism. All genes were positively associated with infiltrating levels of immune cells (macrophages or dendritic cells) and the expression of the dendritic cell marker (NRP1, neuropilin 1). Conclusion These four immune-related genes represent potential biomarkers for monitoring CNT-induced MPM and predicting the prognosis.

Observation of the Mass Difference between Neutral Charm-Meson Eigenstates. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2021; 127:111801. Abstract
A measurement of mixing and CP violation in neutral charm mesons is performed using data reconstructed in proton-proton collisions collected by the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb^{-1}. A total of 30.6 million D^{0}→K_{S}^{0}π^{+}π^{-} decays are analyzed using a method optimized for the measurement of the mass difference between neutral charm-meson eigenstates. Allowing for CP violation in mixing and in the interference between mixing and decay, the mass and decay-width differences are measured to be x_{CP}=[3.97±0.46(stat)±0.29(syst)]×10^{-3} and y_{CP}=[4.59±1.20(stat)±0.85(syst)]×10^{-3}, respectively. The CP-violating parameters are measured as Δx=[-0.27±0.18(stat)±0.01(syst)]×10^{-3} and Δy=[0.20±0.36(stat)±0.13(syst)]×10^{-3}. This is the first observation of a nonzero mass difference in the D^{0} meson system, with a significance exceeding seven standard deviations. The data are consistent with CP symmetry and improve existing constraints on the associated parameters.

Abstract
The first observation of exotic states with a new quark content cc[over ¯]us[over ¯] decaying to the J/ψK^{+} final state is reported with high significance from an amplitude analysis of the B^{+}→J/ψϕK^{+} decay. The analysis is carried out using proton-proton collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1} collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The most significant state, Z_{cs}(4000)^{+}, has a mass of 4003±6_{-14}^{+4} MeV, a width of 131±15±26 MeV, and spin parity J^{P}=1^{+}, where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. A new 1^{+} X(4685) state decaying to the J/ψϕ final state is also observed with high significance. In addition, the four previously reported J/ψϕ states are confirmed and two more exotic states, Z_{cs}(4220)^{+} and X(4630), are observed with significance exceeding 5 standard deviations.

Abstract
Abstract
Study question
Do ooplasm granulation patterns of donor MII oocytes have similar predictive values for in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes as they have in older infertile women?
Summary answer
Ooplasm granulation patterns of donor MII oocytes are predictive for IVF outcomes in young oocyte donors even more pronounced than in older poor prognosis patients.
What is known already
Cytoplasmic granules had been noticed for years, with data mostly focused on central granulation. Dispersed granulations were mentioned but lacked analysis.
Study design, size, duration
A retrospective cohort study during 2017-2020.
Participants/materials, setting, methods
We investigated 776 fresh and 381 vitrified-thawed MII oocytes from carefully selected young donors (mean, 26.7±2.7; range, 21-35 years) and determined cytoplasmic granulation patterns during intracytoplasmic sperm injection as fine, central, uneven, dispersed and peripheral (see only in thawed oocytes). Fertilization, pregnancy and live-birth rates in fresh and thawed donor oocytes were analyzed
Main results and the role of chance
In fresh donor oocytes: 2PN rates significantly trended down from 96.3% to 90.7%, 89.2%, 66.7% from fine to central, uneven, dispersed granulations; overall pregnancy rates trended down from 48.8% to 29.0%, 19.0% and 6.4%, as did live birth rates (42.1%, 21.6%, 12.5%, 6.4%), from fine to uneven, central and dispersed granulations. Known-pregnancy and known-live-birth analyses showed similar findings. Thawed donor oocytes demonstrated similar trends, though with significantly worse outcomes than fresh oocytes. Peripheral granulation, unique to vitrification and thawing, always demonstrated the worst IVF outcomes. Interestingly, granulation patterns were mostly disassociated from morphologic embryo grades in fresh and thawed donor oocytes.
Limitations, reasons for caution
As a retrospective cohort study, some cases had to be excluded for lack of information. The scoring system may have diluted the real contribution of an oocyte when two or more embryos were transferred.
Wider implications of the findings
Ooplasm granulation patterns have predictive values for fertilization, pregnancy and live birth in IVF cycles, supporting integration of them into embryo selection, and suggesting that ooplasm granulation patterns reflect intrinsic features of oocytes that relate to oocyte quality, cytoplasmic maturity and developmental competence, but are largely independent of clinical co-variables.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The diagnosis of olfactory dysfunction is challenging given the negligence during routine physical examination, inconvenience of diagnosis in clinical practice, and the inattention to cross-cultural adaptability. The study aimed to develop and validate a simple and effective self-reported olfactory dysfunction questionnaire (SODQ) for the initial screening of clinical olfactory disorders in China. METHODS A total of 121 subjects participated in the study; of these, 96 subjects completed the T&T olfactometer test and 12-item questionnaire, and 25 participants were retested using the SODQ after one week. The T&T olfactometer test examined the olfactory function and the questionnaire measured the ability to perceive common odors in daily life. We evaluated the factor structure, reliability, validity, and discriminative ability of the SODQ. RESULTS The final version of the SODQ consisted of 10 items with one factor. Test-retest and internal consistency were excellent. Convergent validity of the questionnaire with the T&T olfactory test was high. Furthermore, the discrimination ability was high for the questionnaire with an area under the curve of 0.95 and a cut-off point of 22. CONCLUSIONS The SODQ is a brief, valid, and repeatable tool that has the potential to effectively screen for clinical olfactory disorders from a subjective perspective.

Molinari E, Yang M, Hu J, Zhang L, Albertini DF, Barad DH, Gleicher N. P–199 A case report to suggest that there must be other mutations than PATL2 or TUBB8 to cause oocyte maturation arrest. Abstract
Abstract
Study question
What causes our patient’s repeated almost complete oocyte maturation arrest (OMA)?
Summary answer
Since we did not detect PATL2 and TUBB8 mutations, both known to cause OMA, this case was likely caused by mutations in HUS1 and ITGB3
What is known already
OMA has been associated with loss-of-function in key genes, such as PATL2 and TUBB8. Such patients have, however, uniformly have been unable to conceive with IVF
Study design, size, duration
We here report the case of repeatedly presenting patient between 2009 until 2020 (age 30 at 1st and 41 at last visit).
Participants/materials, setting, methods
The couple underwent 7 IVF treatments under several ovarian stimulation protocols at different gonadotropin dosages and in different preparations to try to recruit mature eggs. She conceived in her 2nd IVF cycle in 2009 and delivered uneventfully in 2010. She then conceived spontaneously and delivered a healthy boy in 2014. The couple since then has been attempting another pregnancy. Remarkably, in all IVF cycles all eggs but one arrested at prophase.
Main results and the role of chance
The female demonstrates abnormally high ovarian reserve for age (AMH=5.9 ng/mL in 2019) (mean, 10.6 oocytes). In all cycles, all but one retrieved were immature. In vitro maturation rate for the GV oocytes was 28%. Resultant M2s, however, demonstrated morphological abnormalities, such as giant polar bodies. In vivo M2s, in contrast, were always morphologically unremarkable, and their fertilization rate was 85%. Embryo morphology deteriorated appreciatively with advancing age. Sanger sequencing for TUBB8 and PATL2 genes were unremarkable. Whole genome sequencing of her and her sister (who had no fertility problems) revealed mutations of genes belonging to the integrin family (ITGB3) and DNA repair checkpoint (HUS1), both of which could be determinants in the observed maturation arrest.
Limitations, reasons for caution
A functional study, coupled with imaging of the discarded material, will likely offer further information regarding the mechanisms leading to OMA in this female.
Wider implications of the findings: This case report represents a new phenotype of female infertility, characterized by almost complete maturation arrest which, however, still offers opportunity for pregnancy. Further isolation of underlying mutation(s) may offer additional insights about checkpoints required for the transition of prophase to metaphase in human oocytes.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the types of sepM gene mutations and their distribution in clinical isolates of Streptococcus mutans (S. mutans) and explore the association of sepM gene mutation with the capacity of mutacin Ⅳ production by S. mutans. OBJECTIVE We assessed the capacity of mutacin Ⅳ production in 80 clinical isolates of S. mutans using an inhibition zone assay. The minimum spanning tree and phylogenetic tree of these isolates were constructed using core genome multilocus sequence typing and maximum likelihood method, respectively. GeneMarkS software was used to predict the coding genes of these isolates, and the predicted genes were blasted against the sepM gene sequence of the reference genome UA159 to determine sepM gene mutations and their distribution characteristics in the clinical isolates. The mutation types affecting mutacin Ⅳ production were identified by analyzing the differentially distributed mutations between mutacin Ⅳ-producing isolates and mutacin Ⅳ-free isolates and by comparing the inhibition zones between isolates with sepM gene mutations and those without mutations. OBJECTIVE Among the 80 clinical isolates of S. mutans, 25 isolates were capable of mutacin Ⅳ production and 55 did not produce mutacin Ⅳ. The minimum spanning tree showed that the allelic differences were less among the mutacin Ⅳproducing isolates than among the mutacin Ⅳ-free isolates, and the origins of the mutacin Ⅳ-producing isolates were similar. We identified a total of 34 single base mutations in the 80 clinical isolates, and among them, C31T (P=0.001), G533A (P < 0.001), C756T (P=0.025), and C1036T (P=0.003) showed significant differential distributions between the mutacin Ⅳ-producing and mutacin Ⅳ-free isolates. These differentially distributed mutations were positively correlated with the capacity of mutacin Ⅳ production of the bacteria. OBJECTIVE sepM gene mutations that affect the capacity of mutacin Ⅳ production are present in the clinical strains of S. mutans.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the regulatory role of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) small nucleolar host gene 3 (SNHG3) in proliferation, migration and invasion of human cervical cancer cell line SiHa. OBJECTIVE Array data were retrieved from GEO database to analyze the expression levels of SNHG3 in cervical cancer and adjacent normal tissues. SiHa cells were transfected with a small interfering RNA (siRNA) targeting SNHG3, and the changes in the transcriptional levels of lncRNA SNHG3 and the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) markers N-cadherin, Snail, vimentin and E-cadherin were detected using real-time quantitative PCR; the protein expressions of N-cadherin, Snail, vimentin and E-cadherin were determined using Western blotting. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK8) assay was utilized to assess the proliferation capacity of the transfected cells. Wound healing assay and Transwell assay were performed to evaluate the transversal and longitudinal migration and invasion abilities of the cells. OBJECTIVE SNHG3 was over-expressed in cervical cancer tissues and SiHa cells. In SiHa cells, knocking down SNHG3 significantly inhibited the proliferation (P < 0.001), migration (P < 0.01) and invasion abilities (P < 0.001) of the cells, down-regulated the expression levels of N-cadherin, Snail and vimentin (P < 0.001) and up-regulated the expression of E-cadherin (P < 0.001). OBJECTIVE SNHG3 may promote the proliferation, migration and invasion of SiHa cells by activating the EMT signaling pathway.

Abstract
Spin-valley locking in monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides has attracted enormous interest, since it offers potential for valleytronic and optoelectronic applications. Such an exotic electronic state has sparsely been seen in bulk materials. Here, we report spin-valley locking in a Dirac semimetal BaMnSb2. This is revealed by comprehensive studies using first principles calculations, tight-binding and effective model analyses, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements. Moreover, this material also exhibits a stacked quantum Hall effect (QHE). The spin-valley degeneracy extracted from the QHE is close to 2. This result, together with the Landau level spin splitting, further confirms the spin-valley locking picture. In the extreme quantum limit, we also observed a plateau in the z-axis resistance, suggestive of a two-dimensional chiral surface state present in the quantum Hall state. These findings establish BaMnSb2 as a rare platform for exploring coupled spin and valley physics in bulk single crystals and accessing 3D interacting topological states.

Abstract
We study the transverse mode instability (TMI) in the limit where a single higher-order mode (HOM) is present. We demonstrate that when the beat length between the fundamental mode and the HOM is small compared to the length scales on which the pump amplitude and the optical mode amplitudes vary, TMI is a three-wave mixing process in which the two optical modes beat with the phase-matched component of the index of refraction that is induced by the thermal grating. This limit is the usual limit in applications, and in this limit TMI is identified as a stimulated thermal Rayleigh scattering (STRS) process. We demonstrate that a phase-matched model that is based on the three-wave mixing equations can have a large computational advantage over current coupled mode methods that must use longitudinal step sizes that are small compared to the beat length.

Abstract
Background:Rituximab is an effective therapy for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients with inadequate responses to methotrexate (MTX)1, 2. However, it has not been registered or approved in China for the treatment of RA by far. HLX01, an approved rituximab biosimilar (demonstrated in Chinese patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma)3, is thus evaluated in this study for the benefits of Chinese RA patients. Objectives:This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of HLX01 plus MTX versus placebo plus MTX in Chinese patients with active RA who had inadequate responses to MTX.Methods:This was a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 study conducted in China (NCT03522415). Eligible patients were randomised 2:1 to receive intravenous infusion of 2×1000 mg HLX01 or placebo on day 1 and day 15. Patients with inadequate responses at week 16 and 20 were allowed to receive rescue treatments. Patients were retreated with or switched to receive (if initially assigned to placebo) 2×1000 mg rituximab at the first day of week 24 and 26. The primary endpoint of this study was the American College of Rheumatology criteria (ACR) 20 response at week 24. Secondary efficacy endpoints were evaluated at week 12, 24, 36 and 48. The safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and immunogenicity of HLX01 were observed and analyzed throughout the study. Results:Between May 28, 2018 and Sep 11, 2020, a total of 275 patients (ITT set) were randomised and 263 patients without major protocol deviations were included in per-protocol set (PPS). At week 24, HLX01 showed statistically superior efficacy (p <0.001) to placebo (ACR20: 60.7% vs 35.9% in ITT set, 60.3% vs 37.1% in PPS). Secondary efficacy endpoints were also significantly improved in HLX01 group compared with placebo (Table 1). The overall incidence of serious treatment emergent adverse events (TEAEs), adverse drug reactions (ADRs), and TEAEs leading to drug discontinuation were similar among treatment groups, with the most common TEAE been upper respiratory tract infection before (18.1% vs 18.5%) or after (13.0% vs 12.3%) week 24. Serum concentrations, immunogenicity and pharmacodynamics were similar between HLX01 and placebo groups.Table 1.Results of secondary efficacy endpoints at week 12, 24, 36 and 48 in ITT set.DurationSecondary efficacy endpointsACR20 (%)ACR50 (%)ACR70 (%)DAS28-CRP(mean)HAQ-DI(mean)HLX01PlaceboHLX01PlaceboHLX01PlaceboHLX01PlaceboHLX01PlaceboBaseline5.495.431.401.45Week 1248.132.621.910.94.45.43.894.471.021.22Week 2460.735.936.618.515.312.03.394.370.871.22Week 3660.148.946.431.532.217.42.883.510.710.97Week 4873.862.055.240.239.927.22.823.510.721.03Conclusion:Comparing with placebo plus MTX, HLX01 plus MTX showed significantly improved clinical outcomes and comparable safety profiles in Chinese patients with moderately to severely active RA who had inadequate responses to MTX, demonstrating HLX01 in combination with MTX as a well-tolerated, safe and efficient treatment option.References:[1]Emery P, Deodhar A, Rigby WF, et al. Abstract
STUDY QUESTION What is the true incidence of chromosomal mosaicism in embryos analyzed by preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). SUMMARY ANSWER The true incidence of chromosomal mosaicism is much lower than we usually surmise. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY In recent years, contemporary methods for chromosome analysis, along with the biopsy of more than one cell, have given rise to an increased rate of chromosomal mosaicism detection after preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy. However, the exorbitant incidence of mosaicism represents a dilemma and imposes restrictions on the application of PGT treatment. Concern has been raised about the possibility that the incidence of chromosomal mosaicism is overestimated and quite a few of the results are false-positive errors. However, studies verifying the diagnosis of chromosomal mosaicism and assessing the true incidence of chromosomal mosaicism are limited. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION A total of 1719 blastocysts from 380 patients who underwent PGT treatment were retrospectively analyzed to evaluate the typical incidence of mosaicism. Then 101 embryos donated by 70 couples were re-biopsied and dissected into three portions if available: trophectoderm (TE), inner cell mass (ICM), and the remaining portions. All the portions were tested using next-generation sequencing (NGS), and the results were compared to the original diagnosis. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS The setting for this study was a university-affiliated center with an in-house PGT laboratory. All samples were amplified with multiple annealing and looping-based amplification cycles (MALBACs) and the NGS was carried out on a Life Technologies Ion Proton platform. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE A clinical TE biopsy revealed an incidence of 11.9% for diploid-aneuploid mosaicism (DAM), 17.3% for aneuploid mosaicism (AM) and 29.1% in total. After rebiopsy, 94.1% whole-chromosome aneuploidies and 82.8% segmental-chromosome aneuploidies were confirmed in the embryos. As for the mosaic errors, only 32 (31.7%) out of 101 embryos presented with uniform chromosomal aberrations in agreement with the original biopsy results, 15 (14.8%) embryos presented with de novo chromosomal aberrations, and 54 (53.5%) embryos showed a euploid profile in all portions. Among the 32 uniform embryos, the true mosaicism was confirmed in only 4 cases, where a reciprocal chromosomal aberration was identified; 14 embryos presented with identical mosaicism, providing the moderate evidence for true mosaicism; and 14 embryos displayed uniform full aneuploidies in all portions of embryo, revealing a high-grade mosaicism or a false-negative diagnosis. Logistical regression analysis revealed that the concordance rate with ICM was associated with the type and level of mosaicism. The concordance rate of segmental-chromosome mosaicism was significantly lower than whole-chromosome mosaicism (adjusted Odds Ratio (aOR): 5.137 (1.061, 24.876), P = 0.042) and compared to DAM, the concordance rate of AM was significantly higher (aOR: 6.546 (1.354, 31.655), P = 0.019). The concordance rate also increased with increasing levels of mosaicism (P < 0.001). LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION This study was limited by a small sample size and the use of a single whole-genome amplification (WGA) method and NGS platform. These findings are only applicable to samples subjected to MALBAC amplification and Ion Proton platform, and studies involving larger sample sizes and multiple WGA methods and NGS platforms are required to prove our findings. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS TE biopsy is reliable to detect whole-chromosome aneuploidies, but the ability to diagnose mosaicism is doubtful. More attention should be paid to false-positive and false-negative errors in NGS-based PGT, especially for laboratories using less stringent criteria for mosaicism classification (i.e. 20-80%), which might be subject to a much higher false-positive mosaicism rate in the practice. Abstract
Objective: To study the effect of iron deficiency level for oral iron absorption in iron deficient patients. Methods: 37 non-pregnant female patients who were diagnosed with iron deficiency and 13 healthy females who completed their physical examination at the outpatient department of the Anemia Center of the Institute of Hematology & Blood Diseases Hospital from July 2018 to June 2020 were included. Hepcidin and C2-C0 of oral iron absorption test were analyzed in different iron deficiency and serum ferritin level. Results: The median of Hepcidin in IDA, ID/IDE and healthy control group were 4.9 (2.17-32.86) , 26.98 (11.02-49.71) and 69.89 (42.23-138.96) μg/L (P<0.001) , respectively. Hepcidin level of IDA group was lower than that of ID/IDE group (adjusted P=0.005) and healthy control (adjusted P<0.001) . Hepcidin level of ID/IDE group had no significant difference compared with healthy control (adjusted P=0.22) . The mean of C2-C0 in IDA, ID/IDE and healthy control group were (35.30±21.68) , (37.90±14.06) and (23.57±10.14) μmol/L (P=0.130) , respectively. Multilinear regression analysis showed C0, SF, sTFR and HGB were independent factors for Hepcidin in iron deficient patients, with an equation of Hepcidin=-31.842-0.642*C0+2.239*SF+1.778*sTFR+0.365*HGB-0.274*RET-HB. We didn't find independent factor of C2-C0. Conclusion: The degree of iron deficiency had an effect on oral iron absorption. Patients of ID/IDE group absorbed iron more slowly than patients of IDA group. Iron deficient patients with normal gastrointestinal function absorbed more iron by oral administration when they were in a more serious iron deficient stage. Hepcidin was a better parameter to distinguish iron absorption level among different iron deficient patients than C2-C0 of oral iron absorption test.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological characteristics, differential diagnosis and prognosis of nodal nevi (NN). Methods: Eighteen cases of NN diagnosed at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, Shanghai, China from 2009 to 2019 were collected. The clinicopathological characteristics and follow-up data were retrospectively analyzed. Histopathologic evaluation and immunohistochemical studies were carried out. The Vysis Melanoma FISH Probe Kit, combined with 9p21(CDKN2A) and 8q24(MYC) assays were performed in 2 cases. Results: There were 2 males and 16 females in the case series. The age of the patients ranged from 36 to 70 years (average 48.2 years). Fifteen cases located in axillary lymph nodes, 1 in inguinal lymph node, 1 in cervical lymph node, and 1 in external iliac lymph node. NN was found in only one lymph node in each case. Histologically, the nevus cell aggregates were found in capsule of lymph nodes in all cases. Nevus cells grew along the capsule into trabeculae in 8 cases, with 3 of them scattered in parenchyma. In one of these 8 cases, nevus cell aggregates massively occupied the parenchyma of the lymph node. The largest lesions in the 18 NN cases measured from 0.2 to 6.5 mm. All of the NN cases were classified as conventional nevi. The majority of the cases were composed of uniform nevus-like cells and identical to cutaneous pigmented nevi without atypia, necrosis, or mitosis. In the NN case that massively occupied parenchyma, some areas had abundant nevus cells and displayed atypical cytologic features, including increased nucleo-cytoplasmic ratio, small nucleoli, and occasional mitotic figures. Immunohistochemistry was performed in 13 cases. All of them were positive for S-100, SOX10, Melan A, and p16. HMB45 showed weak staining in rare cells of only one case out of 13 cases. Ki-67 labeling index <1% was found in all 13 cases. Additionally, the results of FISH assay were both negative. All patients were followed up for 13 to 129 months (median 31.5 months). Except that one patient died of the salivary gland carcinoma, the other patients all survived without tumor during the follow-up period. Conclusions: NN is a benign melanocytic lesion in lymph node. It is important to distinguish NN from metastatic melanoma when nevus cells occur in parenchyma and subcapsular sinus of lymph nodes, or show some atypical cytologic features. The morphology of bland nevus cells in capsule and trabeculae is a valuable clue. Besides, immunohistochemical profiling and FISH assay are helpful in the differential diagnosis.

Abstract
We present an angular analysis of the B^{+}→K^{*+}(→K_{S}^{0}π^{+})μ^{+}μ^{-} decay using 9 fb^{-1} of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. For the first time, the full set of CP-averaged angular observables is measured in intervals of the dimuon invariant mass squared. Local deviations from standard model predictions are observed, similar to those in previous LHCb analyses of the isospin-partner B^{0}→K^{*0}μ^{+}μ^{-} decay. The global tension is dependent on which effective couplings are considered and on the choice of theory nuisance parameters.

Abstract
Intracorporeal classic gastrointestinal anastomosis using circular stapler in totally laparoscopic gastrectomy (TLG) for gastric cancer requires intracorporeal anvil placement and suitable access for introduction of the circular stapler to the abdominal cavity without gas leak. The novel techniques for anvil placement have been updated, but there is no progress for proper access for circular stapler. In the study, intracorporeal circular-stapled gastrointestinal anastomosis were successfully accomplished using a novel device of sealed cap access with a central hole (WLB-60/70-60/100, Wuhan Widerep Medical Instrument Co.,Ltd, China) customized to the incision protection retractor for the simple and accessible introduction of the circular stapler and anvil under the optimal maintenance of pneumoperitoneum pressure in TLG. In these 3 cases, there was no gas leakage and the pneumoperitoneum was well maintained when performing the gastrointestinal anastomosis, and there was no transition to laparotomy or other anastomosis techniques. The result suggests that the sealed cap access could be a novel choice for introduction of the circular stapler to the abdominal cavity in order to obtain laparoscopic circular-stapled gastroin-testinal anastomosis in TLG.

[Application of immunohistochemical staining of bcl-2, Ber-EP4, CD10, CK20, and Ki-67 in differential diagnosis between trichoblastoma and basal cell carcinoma]. ZHONGHUA BING LI XUE ZA ZHI = CHINESE JOURNAL OF PATHOLOGY 2021; 50:376-381. Abstract
Objective: To study the utility of immunohistochemistry (IHC) in differential diagnosis between trichoblastoma (TB) and basal cell carcinoma (BCC). Methods: Fifty-eight cases of TB and 40 cases of BCC were collected at Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center from January 2009 to December 2019 and retrospectively analyzed by IHC for bcl-2, Ber-EP4, CD10, CK20 and Ki-67. Fisher exact test was performed for statistical analysis. Results: Twenty-five (43.1%) TBs and 5 (12.5%) BCCs showed bcl-2 staining in the outermost layer of the epithelial nests, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The proportion of cases with bcl-2 staining>75% of epithelial cells in BCC group was much higher than that in TB group (40% vs. 12.1%; P<0.01). BCC group showed larger proportions with Ber-EP4 staining>75%, 51%-75% of epithelial cells than TB group (12.5% vs. 1.7%, 37.5% vs. 8.6%;P<0.05). Fifty-five (94.8%) TBs demonstrated CD10 expression in the follicular stroma, while only 16 (40.0%) BCCs showed focal or scattered CD10 expression in reactive fibrous stroma (P<0.01). CK20 expression was present in 37 (63.8%) TBs with scattered pattern, but BCCs exhibited no CK20 staining except for only one case (2.5%) showing focal staining (P<0.01). Compared with TB group, the BCC group included more cases with Ki-67 labeling index ≥15% on average and ≥25% in hotspot areas (P<0.05). Conclusion: IHC is helpful in differential diagnosis between TB and BCC. Scattered CK20 staining pattern and stromal CD10 expression support the diagnosis of TB. Bcl-2 staining limited to the outermost layer of the proliferation is more likely to be found in TB. In contrast, Ber-EP4 positivity and higher Ki-67 labeling index tend to be present in BCC.

Abstract
Using pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb^{-1} collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, the B^{0}→D^{-}D^{+}K^{+}π^{-} decay is studied. A new excited D_{s}^{+} meson is observed decaying into the D^{+}K^{+}π^{-} final state with large statistical significance. The pole mass and width, and the spin parity of the new state are measured with an amplitude analysis to be m_{R}=2591±6±7 MeV, Γ_{R}=89±16±12 MeV, and J^{P}=0^{-}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. Fit fractions for all components in the amplitude analysis are also reported. The new resonance, denoted as D_{s0}(2590)^{+}, is a strong candidate to be the D_{s}(2^{1}S_{0})^{+} state, the radial excitation of the pseudoscalar ground-state D_{s}^{+} meson.

Abstract
骨髓有核红细胞比例与ERFE(r=0.458,P=0.001)呈正相关,而与GDF15(r=−0.163,P=0.274)、GDF11(r=0.120,P=0.421)、TWSG1(r=−0.166,P=0.269)无明显相关性。 结论 铁代谢红系调节因子在不同红系造血异常疾病的表达谱不尽一致,ERFE与红系造血旺盛程度相关度最高。

Abstract
The production of χ_{c1}(3872) and ψ(2S) hadrons is studied as a function of charged particle multiplicity in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb^{-1}. For both states, the fraction that is produced promptly at the collision vertex is found to decrease as charged particle multiplicity increases. The ratio of χ_{c1}(3872) to ψ(2S) cross sections for promptly produced particles is also found to decrease with multiplicity, while no significant dependence on multiplicity is observed for the equivalent ratio of particles produced away from the collision vertex in b-hadron decays. This behavior is consistent with a calculation that models the χ_{c1}(3872) structure as a compact tetraquark. Comparisons with model calculations and implications for the binding energy of the χ_{c1}(3872) state are discussed.

Abstract
A measurement of CP violation in the decay B^{+}→K^{+}π^{0} is reported using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb^{-1} collected with the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13 TeV. The CP asymmetry is measured to be 0.025±0.015±0.006±0.003, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to an external input. This is the most precise measurement of this quantity. It confirms and significantly enhances the observed anomalous difference between the direct CP asymmetries of the B^{0}→K^{+}π^{-} and B^{+}→K^{+}π^{0} decays, known as the Kπ puzzle.

Abstract
Inducer of CBF expression 1 (ICE1), a MYC-like bHLH transcriptional activator, plays an important role in plants under cold stress. The ubiquitination-proteasome pathway mediated by high expression of osmotically responsive gene1 (HOS1) can effectively induce the degradation of ICE1 and decrease the expression of CBFs and their downstream genes under cold stress response in Arabidopsis, but knowledge of ubiquitination regulation of ICE1 by HOS1 is still limited in woody plants. In this study, a E3 ubiquitin ligase gene EcaHOS1 were amplified from Eucalyptus camaldulensis and the protein interactions between EcaICE1 and EcaHOS1 were analysed. Yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) and bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) assay results showed that EcaICE1 can interact with the EcaHOS1 protein in the nucleus and, further, the Y2H assay demonstrated that the 126-185 amino acid region at the N-terminus of the EcaICE1 protein was indispensable for its interaction with EcaHOS1 protein. Moreover, we found that the amino acids at positions 145, 158 and 184 within the key interaction region were the putative phosphorylation sites of EcaICE1, based on bioinformatics analysis, and only the substitution of serine (Ser) 158 by alanine (Ala) blocked the protein-protein interactions between EcaICE1 and EcaHOS1 based on Y2H and β-galactosidase activity assays using site-directed mutagenesis. We identified Ser 158 of EcaICE1 as the key putative phosphorylation site for its interaction with the EcaHOS1 protein.

Abstract
Few relevant research attempts have been made to determine heavy metal resistance mechanisms of rhizomatous perennial plants. Thus, it is pertinent to investigate the physiological and biochemical changes in Phragmites australis under metal-stressed conditions to facilitate the development of strategies to enhance copper (Cu) tolerance. We measured parameters related to plant growth and development, metal translocation and physiological responses of P. australis subjected to Cu stress. In addition, the differentially expressed proteins (DEP) were evaluated using the isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantification (iTRAQ) system. A large amount of copper accumulates in the roots of P.australis, but the growth parameters were not sensitive to Cu. However, the high concentration of Cu reduced the content of chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b, and the expression of important photosynthesis proteins PsbD, PsbO and PsaA were all down-regulated, so photosynthesis was inhibited. In contrast, the content of ascorbic acid and proline both increased with the increase of copper stress. P.australis fixed a large amount of Cu in its roots, limiting the migration of Cu to other parts of the plant. Moreover, Cu stress can affect photosynthesis by inhibiting the activity of PSI, PSII and LHCII. In addition, P.australis synthesizes ascorbic acid through the D-mannose/L-galactose pathway, and synthesizes proline through the ornithine pathway. Ascorbic acid and proline can increase Cu tolerance and protect photosynthesis. These results provide a theoretical basis for understanding the tolerance and repair mechanisms of plants in response to heavy metal pollution.

Abstract
The first observation of the suppressed semileptonic B_{s}^{0}→K^{-}μ^{+}ν_{μ} decay is reported. Using a data sample recorded in pp collisions in 2012 with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb^{-1}, the branching fraction B(B_{s}^{0}→K^{-}μ^{+}ν_{μ}) is measured to be [1.06±0.05(stat)±0.08(syst)]×10^{-4}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second one represents the combined systematic uncertainties. The decay B_{s}^{0}→D_{s}^{-}μ^{+}ν_{μ}, where D_{s}^{-} is reconstructed in the final state K^{+}K^{-}π^{-}, is used as a normalization channel to minimize the experimental systematic uncertainty. Theoretical calculations on the form factors of the B_{s}^{0}→K^{-} and B_{s}^{0}→D_{s}^{-} transitions are employed to determine the ratio of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements |V_{ub}|/|V_{cb}| at low and high B_{s}^{0}→K^{-} momentum transfer.

Abstract
1. Granulosa cells (GCs) are involved in folliculogenesis, follicular development, and atresia. Previous studies have shown that microRNA-181a-5p (miR-181a-5p) and sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) are involved in GC proliferation and apoptosis, and SIRT1 has been predicted as one target of miR-181a-5p. However, there are few studies with poultry.2. Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expression level of miR-181a-5p in granulosa layers during geese ovarian follicular development. A methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay was performed to assess the viability of geese granulosa cells treated with miR-181a-5p mimic or inhibitor. The binding sites between the SIRT1 3'-UTR region and miR-181a-5p were evaluated using a luciferase reporter assay system. SIRT1 mRNA levels were detected using qRT-PCR after transfection with miR-181a-5p mimic and inhibitor.3. The miR-181a-5p suppressed geese GC viability and regulated the mRNA expression of viability-related genes in geese GCs. SIRT1 was a target gene of miR-181a-5p and miR-181a-5p suppressed its mRNA expression.4. The miR-181a-5p may target and inhibit SIRT1 expression, thus suppressing GC viability by regulating viability-related key genes.

Comparing the Performance of Different Instruments for Diagnosing Frailty and Predicting Adverse Outcomes among Elderly Patients with Gastric Cancer. J Nutr Health Aging 2021; 25:1241-1247. Abstract
OBJECTIVES To examine the diagnostic performance of the Tilburg Frailty Indicator (TFI), 11-factor modified frailty index (mFI-11), and 5-factor modified frailty index (mFI-5) for frailty defined by Frailty Phenotype (FP), as well as to compare the predictive ability of TFI, mFI-11, and mFI-5 for adverse outcomes in hospital among elderly patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery. DESIGN A prospective cohort study. SETTING Hospitalization setting, Nanjing, China. PARTICIPANTS We recruited 259 elderly patients undergoing gastric cancer surgery from a tertiary hospital. MEASUREMENTS Frailty was assessed by the FP, TFI, mFI-11, and mFI-5 before surgery, respectively. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to compared the diagnostic performance of TFI, mFI-11, and mFI-5 using FP as the reference. ROC curves were used to examine the performance of TFI, mFI-11, and mFI-5 in predicting adverse outcomes. The area under the curve (AUC)>0.70 was regarded as an indicator of good performance. RESULTS The prevalence of frailty ranged from 8.5% (mFI-11) to 45.9% (TFI). The AUCs of TFI (AUC: 0.764, p<0.001) was significantly greater than that of mFI-11 (AUC: 0.600, p=0.033) and mFI-5 (AUC: 0.600, p=0.0311) in the detection of frailty defined by FP, with quite different sensitivity and specificity at their original cutoffs. TFI and mFI-11 both had statistically significant but similarly inadequate predictive accuracy for adverse outcomes in hospital, including total complications (AUCs: 0.618; 0.621), PLOS (AUCs: 0.593; 0.639), increased hospital costs (AUCs: 0.594; 0.624), and hypoproteinemia (AUCs: 0.573; 0.600). For the mFI-5, only the predictive ability for hypoproteinemia was statistically significant, with poor accuracy (AUC: 0.592, p<0.0055). CONCLUSION The TFI performed slightly better than mFI-11 and mFI-5 in our study. Moreover, future studies are needed to further determine an optimal frailty instrument with great diagnostic and predictive accuracy.

Abstract
The only anticipated resonant contributions to B^{+}→D^{+}D^{-}K^{+} decays are charmonium states in the D^{+}D^{-} channel. A model-independent analysis, using LHCb proton-proton collision data taken at center-of-mass energies of sqrt[s]=7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}, is carried out to test this hypothesis. The description of the data assuming that resonances only manifest in decays to the D^{+}D^{-} pair is shown to be incomplete. This constitutes evidence for a new contribution to the decay, potentially one or more new charm-strange resonances in the D^{-}K^{+} channel with masses around 2.9 GeV/c^{2}.
