Abstract
Abstract
Objective
The Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) score is recommended for risk stratification for patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) by clinical guidelines. Data about comorbidities were not incorporated in the GRACE score. This study aimed to evaluate the incremental predictive value of adding the CHA2DS2-VASc score to the GRACE score for in-hospital mortality in patients with STEMI.
Methods
7476 patients with STEMI were recruited and divided into five groups according to the CHA2DS2-VASc score (1, 2, 3, 4 and ≥5 points) at admission. The primary outcome was defined as in-hospital mortality, while the secondary outcomes were recurrent MI, stroke and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) during hospitalization. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression were performed to evaluate the association between the CHA2DS2-VASc score and outcomes. Incremental predictive performance of adding the CHA2DS2-VASc score to the GRACE score were evaluated through analysis of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, net reclassification improvement (NRI) and integrated discrimination improvement (IDI).
Results
With the increase of CHA2DS2-VASc score, patients with STEMI tended to have more comorbidities, receive less evidence-based treatments and carry worse in-hospital outcomes. Multivariate logistic regressions demonstrated that the CHA2DS2-VASc score was an independent predictor for in-hospital mortality [OR (95% CI): 1.320 (1.238–1.407), p<0.001], recurrent myocardial infarction [OR (95% CI): 1.233 (1.086–1.401), p=0.001], stroke [OR (95% CI): 1.433 (1.207–1.702), p<0.001] and MACE [OR (95% CI): 1.146 (1.088–1.207), p<0.001]. The c statistic value of combining the GRACE score with the CHA2DS2-VASc score was significantly higher than that of the GRACE score alone in predicting in-hospital mortality (0.784, 95% CI: 0.774–0.793 vs. 0.769, 95% CI: 0.760–0.779, z=4.180, p<0.001). The addition of the CHA2DS2-VASc score to the GRACE score resulted in significantly improved predictive performance for in-hospital mortality, with a NRI of 0.356 (95% CI: 0.280–0.432, p<0.001) and a IDI of 0.013 (95% CI: 0.009–0.018, p<0.001).
Conclusion
The CHA2DS2-VASc score was an independent predictor of in-hospital outcomes in patients with STEMI. Compared to the GRACE score alone, the addition of the CHA2DS2-VASc score to the GRACE score improved the predictive performance for in-hospital mortality in patients STEMI.

Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) combined with Meek microskin grafts in repairing the wounds of limbs in severely burned patients, and to explore the mechanism. Methods: The prospective controlled research method was used. From September 2016 to January 2020, 16 patients aged 18-69 years, with extensive deep burns, including 9 males and 7 females, who met the selection criteria were admitted to the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery of the 909th Hospital of the Joint Logistic Support Force of PLA. The bilateral limbs with similar injury in 8 patients were divided into Meek skin grafting+PRP group and Meek skin grafting alone group according to the random number table; in the other 8 patients, the limbs with severer injury were included in Meek skin grafting+PRP group, and the limbs on the other side were included in Meek skin grafting alone group. The wounds of affected limbs in the two groups were treated correspondingly. On post surgery day (PSD) 10, the survival and fusion of Meek microskin grafts were observed and the survival rate and fusion rate were calculated; the histological morphology and the angiogenesis of the basal tissue of Meek microskin graft were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunohistochemical staining, respectively, with the microvessels being counted. Data were statistically analyzed with paired sample t test. Results: On PSD 10, the wounds of affected limbs in Meek skin grafting+PRP group were dry, and most of the transplanted skin grafts were closely adhered to the basal tissue; while a small amount of exudate could be found in the wounds of affected limbs in Meek skin grafting alone group, and a small part of the transplanted microskin grafts fell off or poorly attached to the basal tissue. On PSD 10, the survival rate and the fusion rate of Meek microskin grafts in the wounds of affected limbs in Meek skin grafting+PRP group were (94±3)% and (86±4)%, which were significantly higher than (89±4)% and (79±4)% of Meek skin grafting alone group, respectively (t=3.633, 4.229, P<0.01). On PSD 10, the basal epidermis was closely connected with dermis of Meek microskin grafts in the wounds of affected limbs in Meek skin grafting+PRP group, with more inflammatory cell infiltration and active microvascular hyperplasia, while the basal epidermis was less closely connected with dermis of Meek microskin grafts in the wounds of affected limbs in Meek skin grafting alone group, with obvious degeneration of collagen fibers under the dermis, less inflammatory cell infiltration, and slightly poor microvascular hyperplasia. On PSD 10, the distribution of microvessels in basal tissue of Meek microskin grafts in the wounds of affected limbs in Meek skin grafting+PRP group were densely clustered, while the distribution of microvessels in Meek skin grafting alone group were scattered, sparse, and dotted. On PSD 10, the number of microvessels in basal tissue of Meek microskin grafts in the wounds of affected limbs in Meek skin grafting+PRP group was 36±6 in each 400-fold visual field, which was significantly more than 29±7 of Meek skin grafting alone group (t=2.671, P<0.05). Conclusions: Autologous PRP can effectively promote the survival rate and fusion rate of Meek microskin grafts in the wounds of limbs after escharectomy in severely burned patients by promoting angiogenesis at the base of Meek microskin grafts.

Abstract
BACKGROUND: Gabapentin and baclofen are recommended for the treatment of chronic refractory cough (CRC). We investigated the efficacy of flupentixol/melitracen in patients unresponsive to these neuromodulators.METHODS: A total of 101 patients with CRC who failed to respond to gabapentin and baclofen were recruited, and treated with flupentixol/melitracen. The prevalence of cough resolution and changes in the Cough Symptom Score (CSS), cough thresholds to capsaicin, Hull Airway Reflux Questionnaire (HARQ), Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ), Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, Patient Health Questionnaire-9, and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale-24 were evaluated after treatment.RESULTS: Ninety-eight patients (97.0%) completed the study. The overall successful cough resolution rate was 62.4% (63/101). Cough resolution was accompanied by an obvious decrease in the CSS and HARQ score and a remarkable increase in cough thresholds to capsaicin challenge and LCQ score, whereas anxiety and depression scores did not change significantly. The prevalence of adverse effects (e.g., insomnia and dizziness) was 21.8%. The prevalence of cough recurrence within 2 weeks after treatment cessation was 17.8%.CONCLUSION: Flupentixol/melitracen may be an efficacious option for CRC unresponsive to other neuromodulators.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the changes of CaM-CaMK-CREB signaling pathway and related neuron factors in hippocampus of rats after sevoflurane and propofol administration. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 90 SD rats, half male and half female, were selected. They were randomized into anesthesia group (AG) and control group (CG), in which 30 rats under propofol anesthesia in the AG were included in group A, 30 rats under sevoflurane anesthesia were included in group B, and 30 rats under mixed ventilation of air and oxygen were included in the CG. Before (10 rats were killed in each group) and at the end of anesthesia (2 weeks of anesthesia and 7 days of Morris water maze test), rats were respectively killed and then an appropriate amount of hippocampus was separated. Human tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), calmodulin (CaM), calmodulin-dependent kinase Ⅱ a (CaMK II a), NMDA receptor 2B (NR2B), cysteine aspartate specific protease-3 mRNA (Caspase-3mRNA) and protein contents were detected. RESULTS The latency of rats in group A and group B, as well as their times of crossing the original platform on 1, 4, and 7d were markedly higher than those of the CG, and those in group B were markedly lower than those in group A (p<0.001). The total distance of rats in group A and group B on 1, 4, and 7d was significantly higher than that of the CG, and that in group B was dramatically lower than that in group A (p<0.001). The speed of rats in the three groups ranged from 1d to 7d, and there was no significant difference at different time points (p>0.05). At the end of anesthesia, the expression levels of CaM mRNA and protein in hippocampus of rats in group A and group B were remarkably higher than those of the CG, and those of CaMK II a mRNA and protein were remarkably lower than those of the CG; the CaM mRNA and protein expression levels in hippocampus of group A were significantly higher than those of group B, and those of CaMK IL a mRNA and protein were significantly lower than those of group B (p<0.001). Simultaneously, the expression levels of NR2BmRNA, Caspase-3mRNA and protein in hippocampus of group A and group B were substantially higher than those of the CG, and those in group B were substantially lower than those in group A (p<0.001). What's more, the TNF-a and VEGF expression levels in hippocampus of group A and B were markedly higher than those of the CG, and those in group B were dramatically lower than those of group A (p<0.001). CONCLUSIONS Sevoflurane anesthesia on the CaM-CaMK-CREB signaling pathway and learning and memory function of rats is less volatile, which does better in safeguarding stability.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is a major cause of maternal mortality and morbidity worldwide. The purpose of this study was to evaluate if meconium-stained amniotic fluid (MSAF) is a risk factor for PPH after vaginal delivery. PATIENTS AND METHODS We retrospectively analyzed medical records of all patients who had a vaginal delivery at Fujian Provincial Maternity and Children's Hospital, between 1st January 2013 to 31st December 2018. Women with cesarean deliveries, multiple pregnancies, abnormal coagulation profile, and those with concomitant liver or kidney disorders were excluded. Patients were classified into MSAF (n=13686) and clear amniotic fluid (AF) (n=41511) groups. RESULTS The incidence of PPH was significantly higher at 2.7% (370/13686) in the MSAF group as compared to 2.18% (904/41511) in the clear AF group (p=0.0004). There was no difference in the incidence of severe PPH between the two groups. Statistically significant difference in the incidence of PPH between MSAF and clear AF was seen in the maternal age groups of 30-34 and 35-39 years, gestational age>40weeks and >3 gravidity (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS Our study demonstrates that MSAF is a significant risk factor for minor and moderate PPH. Presence of meconium could therefore alert clinicians to expect PPH and make arrangements for further patient management. Further basic research is required to evaluate the mechanism by which meconium influences the incidence of PPH.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To assess the effects of curcumol on the proliferation, apoptosis and collagen synthesis of keloid fibroblasts and explore the underlying mechanism. OBJECTIVE Keloid fibroblasts were treated with different concentrations of curcumol (10, 20, 40, 80 and 160 mg/L) or with 160 mg/L curcumol and 20 μmol/L ISO (an ERK signaling pathway activator). Western blotting was performed to detect the expression levels of proliferation-associated proteins (cyclin D1 and PCNA), fibrosis marker proteins (Col1A1, Col3A1 and α-SMA), apoptosis proteins (Bcl-2, Bax and cleaved caspase-3) and ERK signaling pathway proteins (p-ERK1/2, p-MEK and p-c-Raf) in the cells. MTT assay and flow cytometry were used to evaluate the proliferation and apoptosis rate of the treated cells, respectively. OBJECTIVE Curcumol at 10, 20, 40, 80 and 160 mg/L all reduced the protein expressions of cyclin D1, PCNA and Bcl-2, inhibited the expressions of fibrotic marker proteins Col1A1, Col3A1 and α-SMA, decreased the levels of ERK signaling pathway proteins p-ERK1/2, p-MEK and p-c-Raf, and increased the expressions of Bax and cleaved caspase-3 proteins (P < 0.05). Curcumol treatment at 160 mg/L obviously inhibited the proliferation and collagen synthesis, promoted cell apoptosis and inhibited the ERK signaling pathway in the keloid fibroblasts; treatment with ISO significantly reversed the effects of curcumol on the proliferation, apoptosis, collagen synthesis and ERK signal pathway of the cells. OBJECTIVE Curcumol regulates proliferation, apoptosis and collagen synthesis in keloid fibroblasts through the ERK signaling pathway.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Organ failure (OF), a leading cause of death in HIV-positive individuals, is common in patients undergoing liver transplantation (LT). We examined the impact of HIV infection on pre- and post-LT mortalities in cirrhotic patients stratified by the number and type of OFs. METHODS We performed a cross-sectional study and a retrospective cohort study using the US National Inpatient Sample (NIS) and the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) registry data, respectively. Patients who had not yet undergone LT from the NIS database (2010-2014) and patients undergoing LT from the UNOS database (2003-2016) were included in the study. RESULTS Analysis of patients (201 348) from the NIS database showed that one [adjusted odds ratio (aOR) 1.531; 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.160-2.023], two (aOR 1.624; 95% CI 1.266-2.083) or three or more OFs (aOR 1.349; 95% CI 1.165-1.562) were associated with higher pre-LT mortality in HIV-infected patients compared with HIV-negative patients with the corresponding number of OFs. In patients without OF, HIV infection was not associated with increased pre-LT mortality. UNOS data for patients undergoing LT (38 942) showed that the presence of two or more OFs was associated with increased post-LT 1-year mortality in HIV-infected patients compared with non-HIV-infected patients with the corresponding number of OFs (aOR 2.342; 95% CI 1.576-3.480). However, in patients with no OF or only one OF, HIV infection was not associated with increased post-LT 1-year mortality (aOR 1.372; 95% CI 0.911-2.068). CONCLUSIONS The results of this study emphasize the importance of preventing OF development, and justify LT for HIV-infected patients with no or only one OF.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE Long non-coding RNA LINC00173 (LINC00173) has been shown to facilitate the progression of a number of malignancies. In this study, we aimed to investigate the function of LINC00173 on prostate cancer (PCa) and discover the potential regulatory mechanism. PATIENTS AND METHODS RT-PCR was used to determine the levels of LINC00173, miR-338-3p and Rab25 in PCa patients and cell lines. The clinical significance of LINC00173 was statistically analyzed in 124 PCa patients. CCK-8, colony formation, transwell, scratch wound, Ethynyldeoxyuridine (EdU) assays and flow cytometry assays were used to detect the proliferation, apoptosis, invasion and migration of PCa cells. The mechanism of LINC00173 action was explored through bioinformatics, RNA pull-down assays and Luciferase reporter assays. RESULTS We observed that the expression of LINC00173 and Rab25 was distinctly upregulated in both PCa specimens and cell lines, while miR-338-3p expression was significantly down-regulated. High LINC00173 expression was associated with Gleason score, preoperative PSA level and reduced patient survivals. Functional assays revealed that knockdown of LINC00173 suppressed the proliferation, migration and invasion of PCa cells, and promoted apoptosis. Mechanistically, LINC00173 acted as a competitive endogenous RNA in PCa and increased Rab25 expressions via sponging miR-338-3p. Moreover, LINC00173 promoted PCa progression by interacting with miR-338-3p and Rab25. CONCLUSIONS Our findings, for the first time, identified a novel PCa-related lncRNA, LINC00173 which might serve as an oncogene in PCa. The discovery of the LINC00173/miR-338-3p/Rab25 pathways provided new thinking for the treatments of PCa.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To identify laboratory markers among platelet indices, coagulation parameters, blood lipid parameters, and liver/kidney function variables that can be used to predict preeclampsia. PATIENTS AND METHODS We studied records of 568 women with preeclampsia, gestational hypertension (GH), or normal term pregnancies hospitalized in the Obstetrics Department of the Fujian Maternal and Child Health Hospital from September 2014 to September 2018. We divided the patients' records into three groups (216 with preeclampsia, 136 with gestational hypertension, and 216 with normal pregnancies). We conducted retrospective analyses to compare variable measurements between the groups and find correlations. We looked into maternal pre-onset platelet indices, coagulation parameters (thrombin time [TT], fibrinogen [FIB]), biochemical parameters (total cholesterol [TC], triglycerides [TG], high-density lipoproteins [HDL], alanine transaminase [ALT], serum creatinine [CRE], blood urea nitrogen [BUN], uric acid [UA]), maternal complications, and perinatal outcomes. In addition to our statistical analysis, we trained a back-propagation (BP) neural network to identify the strongest predictors of preeclampsia. RESULTS We found significant differences among the groups in terms of values for PLT, MPV, PDW, PLCR, TT, FIB, TG, LDH, BUN, and others. After adjusting for confounding factors in a multivariate ordered logistic regression model, we found that mean values for MPV, BUN, TG, and LDH can independently predict the risk of preeclampsia (the OR values were 1.858, 1.583, 1.104, and 1.020, respectively), the C-index (concordance statistic) was 0.73. Also, our BP neural network derived ALB, MPV, BUN, LDH and TG as the strongest predictors of preeclampsia. CONCLUSIONS MPV, TG, LDH, and BUN can help establish the risk for the development of preeclampsia to apply active measures and improve maternal and perinatal outcomes. The BP neural network can be used to study predictive models of preeclampsia.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the mechanism of the antidepressant-like effects of Chaihu Guizhi decoction (CGD). OBJECTIVE Chaihu Guizhi decoction at the daily dose of 17 g/kg and solvent vehicle were administered by gavage in 12 and 14 male C57BL/6J mice for 7 consecutive days, respectively. Forced swimming test (FST), elevated plus maze (EPM) test, open field test (OFT) and novelty-suppressed feeding test (NSF) were performed to assess the depression- and anxiety-like behaviors and motor ability of the mice. We further used chronic social defeat stress (CSDS) and social interaction test to evaluate the antidepressant-like effects of CGD in comparison with the solvent vehicle. Western blotting and RT-qPCR were performed to detect the expressions of sirt1, p53, acetylated p53, and the neuron plasticity-related genes including synapsin I (Syn1), Rab4B, SNAP25 and tubulin beta4b in the hippocampus of the mice. OBJECTIVE In FST, the immobility time of CGDtreated mice was decreased significantly (P < 0.05); no significant differences were found in the performances in EPM, NSF and OFT tests between the two groups. In social interaction test, the mouse models of CSDS treated with CGD showed significantly increased time in the interaction zone (P < 0.05). Compared with those in the vehicle group, the CGD-treated mouse models exhibited significantly increased protein level of SIRT1 and decreased p53 acetylation (P < 0.05) with up-regulated synapsin I mRNA expression in the hippocampus (P < 0.05); no significant difference were found in Rab (P=0.813), SNAP (P=0.820), or Tubb mRNA expressions (P=0.864) between the two groups. OBJECTIVE CGD produces antidepressant-like effects in mice possibly through the sirt1-p53 signaling pathway and synaptic plasticity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Oral and maxillofacial surgery currently relies on virtual surgery planning based on image data (CT, MRI). Three-dimensional (3D) visualizations are typically used to plan and predict the outcome of complex surgical procedures. To translate the virtual surgical plan to the operating room, it is either converted into physical 3D-printed guides or directly translated using real-time navigation systems. PURPOSE This study aims to improve the translation of the virtual surgery plan to a surgical procedure, such as oncologic or trauma surgery, in terms of accuracy and speed. Here we report an augmented reality visualization technique for image-guided surgery. It describes how surgeons can visualize and interact with the virtual surgery plan and navigation data while in the operating room. The user friendliness and usability is objectified by a formal user study that compared our augmented reality assisted technique to the gold standard setup of a perioperative navigation system (Brainlab). Moreover, accuracy of typical navigation tasks as reaching landmarks and following trajectories is compared. RESULTS Overall completion time of navigation tasks was 1.71 times faster using augmented reality (P = .034). Accuracy improved significantly using augmented reality (P < .001), for reaching physical landmarks a less strong correlation was found (P = .087). Although the participants were relatively unfamiliar with VR/AR (rated 2.25/5) and gesture-based interaction (rated 2/5), they reported that navigation tasks become easier to perform using augmented reality (difficulty Brainlab rated 3.25/5, HoloLens 2.4/5). CONCLUSION The proposed workflow can be used in a wide range of image-guided surgery procedures as an addition to existing verified image guidance systems. Results of this user study imply that our technique enables typical navigation tasks to be performed faster and more accurately compared to the current gold standard. In addition, qualitative feedback on our augmented reality assisted technique was more positive compared to the standard setup.?>.

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the clinical features and efficacy of enzyme replacement therapy in 4 children with Fabry disease. Methods: A retrospective analysis of the clinical manifestations, laboratory findings, genetic variations and treatment were conducted in 4 children with Fabry disease in Children's Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine from January 2014 to July 2020. Results: All four children (2 males, 2 females) with onset age of 12.4 (6.0-16.8) years were diagnosed based on clinical features, α-Gal A enzyme activity, genetic analysis and family history. The clinical manifestations varied in 4 children. All patients had left ventricular hypertrophy and abnormal urinalysis results, 1 case of neuropathic pain, 2 cases of hypohidrosis, 1 case of insipidus, but no angiokeratomas or hearing abnormalities were found. Three missense mutations of GLA gene were identified: c.424T>C (p.C142R), C.335G>A (p.R112H) and c.644A>G (p.N215S). The first two gene mutations were classical phenotypes, and the last one had also been reported in a classic case. In Case 1, no severe adverse events were reported in the first two months of agalsidase beta treatment. The dosage was 1 mg/kg once every 2 weeks. Symptoms of pain intensity and hypohidrosis were improved. Transiently elevated proteinuria was observed but it returned to normal after a week without any treatment. Conclusions: Clinical manifestations of Fabry disease varied in childhood. Multidisciplinary collaboration is required for its early diagnosis and treatment. Severe adverse events are rare in children with short-term therapy of agalsidase beta.

Abstract
Objective: To explore The feasibility of digital guidance drill templates assisted expansive open-door laminoplasty. Methods: Ten specimens of normal adult cervical spine (C3-7) were selected, including six males and four females. The specimens aged 42-67 years, with an average age of (43.6±4.2) years. After CT scanning, the date was imported into Mimics software in DICOM format. 3D models were reconstructed and the position and depth of troughs on the open side and hinge side were selected for expansive open-door laminoplasty. Drill templates were designed and exported in STL, manufactured by 3D printing finally. Then drill templates were attached to the posterior part of cervical lamina and spinous process. Under guidance of templates, troughs of both sides were conducted by using a high-speed drill. Then the lamina is elevated and instrumentations were implanted. Postoperative CT scanning was conducted to record the fracture of trough on the hinge side. 3D reconstruction was performed again to compare the position and depth between theory and actual trough on both sides by paired t test. Results: A total of 50 drill templates were designed and manufactured. There was no occurrence of hinge fracture after operation. In C3-7, the distance range between the theory position of troughs on the open side and the midline was 11.8-14.4 mm, while in actual it was 11.4-14.0 mm. The distance range between the theory position of troughs on the hinge side and the midline was 11.6-14.3 mm; in actual, it was 10.9-14.0 mm. The theory depth range of trough on the hinge side was 3.0-3.8 mm, while the actual depth was 3.1-3.8 mm. According to the statistical analysis, the difference in the position of trough on the open side, the position of trough on the hinge side and the depth of trough on the hinge side between theory and actual were not statistically significant (all P>0.05). Conclusion: Digital guided template assisted open-door laminoplasty is a feasible technique, which can improve the accuracy and safety of the position and depth of the trough, and has clinical application value.

Abstract
Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of automatic nucleic acid purifiers QIAsymphony SP and QIAcube in the DNA extraction of samples of trace amount or mixed with inhibitors. Methods Different kinds of purification methods using QIAsymphony SP and QIAcube were applied to extract swabs which contained 30, 100, 150 and 300 cells and other samples which contained six types of inhibitors-heme, humic acid, lard, soil, rust and grease. PCR amplification and STR typing were performed on the extracted DNA templates to compare extracting efficiency and inhibitor removal ability of four different purification methods. Results Different purification methods showed similar extraction effects, 70.83%-100.00% of loci could be detected by amplification of DNA extracted from samples with 30, 100 and 300 cells, and the six types of inhibitors could be removed well. Conclusion The two automatic nucleic acid purifiers have a good inhibitor removal effect. For swabs with only 30 cells, after DNA extraction and amplification, the locus detection rate of samples can still be high, which can meet the requirements of local DNA laboratory work, and realize the standardization construction of the laboratory.

Abstract
Hepatitis infections represent a major health concern worldwide. Numerous computer-aided approaches have been devised for the early detection of hepatitis. In this study, we propose a method for the analysis and classification of cases of hepatitis-B virus ( HBV), hepatitis-C virus (HCV), and healthy subjects using Raman spectroscopy and a multiscale convolutional neural network (MSCNN). In particular, serum samples of HBV-infected patients (435 cases), HCV-infected patients (374 cases), and healthy persons (499 cases) are analyzed via Raman spectroscopy. The differences between Raman peaks in the measured serum spectra indicate specific biomolecular differences among the three classes. The dimensionality of the spectral data is reduced through principal component analysis. Subsequently, features are extracted, and then feature normalization is applied. Next, the extracted features are used to train different classifiers, namely MSCNN, a single-scale convolutional neural network, and other traditional classifiers. Among these classifiers, the MSCNN model achieved the best outcomes with a precision of 98.89%, sensitivity of 97.44%, specificity of 94.54%, and accuracy of 94.92%. Overall, the results demonstrate that Raman spectral analysis and MSCNN can be effectively utilized for rapid screening of hepatitis B and C cases.

Abstract
Airborne transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) via air-conditioning systems poses a significant threat for the continued escalation of the current coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Considering that SARS-CoV-2 cannot tolerate temperatures above 70 °C, here we designed and fabricated efficient filters based on heated nickel (Ni) foam to catch and kill SARS-CoV-2. Virus test results revealed that 99.8% of the aerosolized SARS-CoV-2 was caught and killed by a single pass through a novel Ni-foam-based filter when heated up to 200 °C. In addition, the same filter was also used to catch and kill 99.9% of Bacillus anthracis, an airborne spore. This study paves the way for preventing transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and other highly infectious airborne agents in closed environments.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is associated with multiple types of cancer, but the evidence has not yet been fully elucidated in bladder cancer. METHODS Frozen tissue samples collected from 146 patients aged 32 to 89 years with bladder cancer pathological diagnosis between 2015 and 2019 were analyzed. HPV genotyping and integration status determination were performed by capture-based next generation sequencing. Statistical analysis of HPV type distributions was performed according to stage, grade, sex, and age group of patients. RESULTS Mean (SD) age of the 146 patients was 66.64 ± 10.06 years and 83.56% were men. Overall HPV infection rate was 28.77% (37.50% in women and 27.05% in men), with 11.90% HPV integration events. Among them, 17.12% single and 11.65% coinfections were observed. HPV18 (24.66%) was the most prevalent genotype, followed by HPV33, 16, and 39. All HPV were European lineage (A). HPV16 was more prevalent in women (P = .04). CONCLUSIONS HPV infection may contribute to the etiology both in men and women with bladder cancer. HPV18, followed by HPV33, 16, and 39 genotypes, potentially represent the predominant oncogenic risk types for bladder carcinogenesis.
