Abstract
We report muon spin rotation and magnetic susceptibility experiments on in-plane stress effects on the static spin-stripe order and superconductivity in the cuprate system La_{2-x}Ba_{x}CuO_{4} with x=0.115. An extremely low uniaxial stress of ∼0.1 GPa induces a substantial decrease in the magnetic volume fraction and a dramatic rise in the onset of 3D superconductivity, from ∼10 to 32 K; however, the onset of at-least-2D superconductivity is much less sensitive to stress. These results show not only that large-volume-fraction spin-stripe order is anticorrelated with 3D superconducting coherence but also that these states are energetically very finely balanced. Moreover, the onset temperatures of 3D superconductivity and spin-stripe order are very similar in the large stress regime. These results strongly suggest a similar pairing mechanism for spin-stripe order and the spatially modulated 2D and uniform 3D superconducting orders, imposing an important constraint on theoretical models.

Abstract
Despite the increasing normalization of nightwork, organizational researchers typically study organizations and work as daytime phenomena. A nocturnal lens, nevertheless, can provide a different picture of what is going on in organizations. In this paper, I introduce nightwork into organization studies with a qualitative case study of two research sites (a factory and a hospital laboratory), and analyse employee experiences at night and responses to differences between night- and dayshifts. This study contributes to literature on agency and escape, highlighting that night enables and encourages escape in ways that differ from those during the day. Moreover, the study shows that while employees can ‘escape into the night’ to avoid daytime rules and pressures, many also need to ‘escape from the night’ and the physical and mental exhaustion nightwork entails. The paper concludes by pointing to further research on night in organizations, nightwork and escape.

Abstract
This study evaluated the castor bean meal detoxified with calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)2] added urea replacing soybean meal in the diet of lactating goats from milk production and composition, intake, digestibility, and ingestive behavior. Eight Alpine multiparous goats weighting 44.3 ± 5.3 kg and at approximately 60 days of lactation were confined and randomly distributed in 4 × 4 double Latin squares, with four inclusion levels of detoxified castor meal: control (0), 25, 50, and 75 g/kg dry matter (DM) total. Detoxified castor bean meal replacing soybean meal (P > 0.05) in goats diet did not affect intake and digestibility of DM, crude protein, ether extract, neutral detergent fiber (NDF), total carbohydrates, non-fibrous carbohydrates and total digestible nutrients, times spent for eating, and efficiency ratios of rumination and eating. However, the times spent for rumination and idling showed a quadratic trend decrease (P < 0.01) from the level of 50.0-g/kg DM. The milk production, and the milk production correction showed a quadratic trend increase and feeding efficiency a quadratic decrease (P = 0.03) due inclusion of detoxified castor bean meal replacing soybean meal up to the level of 25.0 g/kg. The fat, protein, lactose, total solids, nonfat solids, and milk urea nitrogen content (g/day) presented a quadratic increase (P < 0.05) by detoxified castor meal inclusion. Detoxified castor bean meal added urea in the Alpine goats diet could be included up to the 25.0 g/kg level replacing soybean meal in the diet because improve milk production and composition and feeding efficiency of goats without negatively effect on intake, digestibility and ingestive behavior.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To characterize deep skin and soft tissue infections (dSSTI) caused by Panton-Valentine leukocidin (PVL)-positive versus PVL-negative Staphylococcus aureus isolates. METHODS We performed a retrospective analysis of patients' records including S. aureus isolates from outpatients with dSSTI. Samples had been submitted by primary care physicians, i.e. general practitioners, surgeons, dermatologists and paediatricians, located in Berlin, Germany, in 2007-2017. Bacterial isolates were identified and tested for antimicrobial susceptibility by VITEK 2; PVL was detected by PCR. RESULTS In total, 1199 S. aureus isolates from 1074 patients with dSSTI were identified, and 613 (51.1%) of 1199 samples were PVL+. The median age of patients with PVL+S. aureus was lower than in patients with PVL- S. aureus (34 years, range 0-88 years, vs. 44 years, range 0-98 years; p < 0.0001). PVL was associated with repeated/multiple samples compared to single sample submission (69/92, 75% vs. 448/982, 45.6%, p < 0.0001; odds ratio (OR), 3.6; 95% confidence interval (CI), 2.2-5.8). Interestingly, the highest PVL positivity rate was found in isolates from gluteal (82/108, 75.9%; OR, 3.6; 95% CI, 2-5) or axillary (76/123, 61.8%; OR, 2; 95% CI, 1.1-3.3) localizations compared to isolates from the arm. The PVL positivity rate did not increase over time. Yet we noticed an increase in the trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (SXT) resistance rate in PVL+ isolates, mainly methicillin-sensitive S. aureus, when considering SXT resistance rates of 2007-2012 versus 2013-2017 (35/226, 15.5% vs. 74/289, 25.6%; p 0.01). CONCLUSIONS In outpatients, gluteal and axillary dSSTI are indicative of PVL+S. aureus. Providing SXT as a complementary treatment for dSSTI should be based on susceptibility testing.

Abstract
Shaft fractures of the tibia and fibula mainly affect younger patients and are therefore of great socioeconomic importance. Due to the high proportion of high-energy direct trauma mechanisms and the thin soft tissue covering layer of the ventromedian tibia, open factures occur in up to 39%. A structured diagnostic and therapeutic approach is essential for successful treatment. Reamed intramedullary nailing is currently the gold standard surgical procedure. The suprapatellar approach, representing an interesting alternative to the popular infrapatellar approach, postoperative complications, such as anterior knee pain as well as the management of non-unions are discussed in this article. Furthermore, the indications and the application of minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) and external fixators are described. Every trauma surgeon should be familiar with the etiology and the surgical treatment of compartment syndrome. A firm knowledge of the classifications of open and closed soft tissue injury is mandatory.

Abstract
We report on measurements of quantized conductance in gate-defined quantum point contacts in bilayer graphene that allow the observation of subband splittings due to spin-orbit coupling. The size of this splitting can be tuned from 40 to 80 μeV by the displacement field. We assign this gate-tunable subband splitting to a gap induced by spin-orbit coupling of Kane-Mele type, enhanced by proximity effects due to the substrate. We show that this spin-orbit coupling gives rise to a complex pattern in low perpendicular magnetic fields, increasing the Zeeman splitting in one valley and suppressing it in the other one. In addition, we observe a spin polarized channel of 6e^{2}/h at high in-plane magnetic field and signatures of interaction effects at the crossings of spin-split subbands of opposite spins at finite magnetic field.

Abstract
AbstractBackgroundVarious studies have reported a positive relationship between child maltreatment and personality disorders (PDs). However, few studies included all DSM-IV PDs and even fewer adjusted for other forms of childhood adversity, e.g. bullying or family problems.MethodWe analyzed questionnaires completed by 512 participants of the ZInEP epidemiology survey, a comprehensive psychiatric survey of the general population in Zurich, Switzerland. Associations between childhood adversity and PDs were analyzed bivariately via simple regression analyses and multivariately via multiple path analysis.ResultsThe bivariate analyses revealed that all PD dimensions were significantly related to various forms of family and school problems as well as child abuse. In contrast, according to the multivariate analysis only school problems and emotional abuse were associated with various PDs. Poverty was uniquely associated with schizotypal PD, conflicts with parents with obsessive-compulsive PD, physical abuse with antisocial PD, and physical neglect with narcissistic PD. Sexual abuse was statistically significantly associated with schizotypal and borderline PD, but corresponding effect sizes were small.ConclusionChildhood adversity has a serious impact on PDs. Bullying and violence in schools and emotional abuse appear to be more salient markers of general personality pathology than other forms of childhood adversity. Associations with sexual abuse were negligible when adjusted for other forms of adversity.

Abstract
IntroductionAlcohol use disorders have been associated with an increased risk of frequent readmissions. This study aimed to examine factors that contribute to the risk for readmission within one year after discharge from an alcohol rehabilitation program.MethodsRehospitalization status was assessed for all patients with an alcohol use disorder as primary diagnosis (n = 468) admitted to our inpatient unit between July 1, 2012, and June 30, 2014. All patients were followed up for one year after their first hospitalization (index hospitalization) within this period. Time to readmission within one year after discharge was measured using the Kaplan–Meier method. Risk factors for readmission were examined using Cox proportional hazard regression models. Three set of variables were selected to be included in the analyses:– demographic features at time of admission of index hospitalization;– comorbid conditions at time of admission of index hospitalization;– treatment-related variables in relation to the index hospitalization including observer-rated outcome measures.ResultsReadmissions within one year after discharge from an alcohol rehabilitation program as well as the corresponding time to readmission were linked to higher numbers of previous hospitalizations and the presence of comorbid opioid use disorders.ConclusionHigher numbers of past treatments for AUD are indicators for a chronic course of the disorder, which, in turn, increase the risk of further relapses. Our findings further confirmed previous findings suggesting high rates of comorbidity among alcohol and opioid use disorders, and their link with poorer clinical outcomes.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Abstract
First ever measurements of the ratios of free cyclotron frequencies of heavy, highly charged ions with Z>50 with relative uncertainties close to 10^{-11} are presented. Such accurate measurements have become realistic due to the construction of the novel cryogenic multi-Penning-trap mass spectrometer PENTATRAP. Based on the measured frequency ratios, the mass differences of five pairs of stable xenon isotopes, ranging from ^{126}Xe to ^{134}Xe, have been determined. Moreover, the first direct measurement of an electron binding energy in a heavy highly charged ion, namely of the 37th atomic electron in xenon, with an uncertainty of a few eV is demonstrated. The obtained value agrees with the calculated one using two independent, different implementations of the multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock method. PENTATRAP opens the door to future measurements of electron binding energies in highly charged heavy ions for more stringent tests of bound-state quantum electrodynamics in strong electromagnetic fields and for an investigation of the manifestation of light dark matter in isotopic chains of certain chemical elements.

Abstract
It is known that pigs can acquire flavour preferences by brief social interactions with conspecifics that previously consumed a flavoured solid feed. However, there is no information about whether a flavoured solution could support flavour preferences through social transmission. Ninety-six pigs (49 days old) were housed in 12 pens (8 pigs/pen). Four animals per pen were randomly selected to act as observers and four as demonstrators. Demonstrator animals were temporarily moved to an empty pen where a protein solution was offered (porcine digestive peptides (PDPs), 4% weight/volume) with the addition of 0.075% aniseed (six pens) or garlic (six pens) powdered artificial flavours for 30 min. Afterwards, demonstrators were returned to interact with observer animals for 30 min. A choice test (30 min) between aniseed and garlic PDP was performed for each observer group after the interaction. Observers showed a higher intake of solutions previously consumed by their demonstrator conspecifics (648 v. 468 ml; SEM 61.36, P < 0.05). As with flavoured solid feeds, protein solutions containing artificial flavours can create preferences in pigs for those flavours through social transmission from conspecifics.

Abstract
We investigated the cerebral autoregulation (CA) dynamics parameter phase and gain change when exposed to a longlasting motor task. 25 healthy subjects (mean age ± SE, 38±2.6 years, 13 females) underwent simultaneous recordings of spontaneous fluctuations in blood pressure (BP), cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFV), and end-tidal CO(2) (ETCO(2)) over 5 min of rest followed by 5 min of left elbow flexion at a frequency of 1 Hz. Tansfer function gain and phase between BP and CBFV were assessed in the frequency ranges of very low frequencies (VLF, 0.02-0.07 Hz), low frequencies (LF, 0.07-0.15), and high frequencies (HF, >0.15). CBFV increased on both sides rapidly to maintain an elevated steady state until movement stopped. Cerebrovascular resistance fell on the right side (rest 1.35±0.06, movement 1.28±0.06, p<0.01), LF gain decreased from baseline (right side 0.97±0.07 %/mm Hg, left 1.01±0.09) to movement epoch (right 0.73±0.08, left 0.76±0.06, p</=0.01). VLF phase decreased from baseline (right 1.03±0.05 radians, left 1.10±0.06) to the movement epoch (right 0.81±0.07, left 0.82±0.10, p?0.05). CA regulates continuous motor efforts by changes in resistance, gain and phase.

Abstract
This paper reports on the development and testing of a novel, highly efficient technique for the injection of very rare species into electron beam ion traps (EBITs) for the production of highly charged ions (HCI). It relies on in-trap laser-induced desorption of atoms from a sample brought very close to the electron beam resulting in a very high capture efficiency in the EBIT. We have demonstrated a steady production of HCI of the stable isotope 165Ho from samples of only 1012 atoms (∼300 pg) in charge states up to 45+. HCI of these species can be subsequently extracted for use in other experiments or stored in the trapping volume of the EBIT for spectroscopic measurements. The high efficiency of this technique extends the range of rare isotope HCIs available for high-precision atomic mass and spectroscopic measurements. A first application of this technique is the production of HCI of the synthetic radioisotope 163Ho for a high-precision measurement of the QEC-value of the electron capture in 163Ho within the "Electron Capture in Holmium" experiment [L. Gastaldo et al., J. Low Temp. Phys. 176, 876-884 (2014); L. Gastaldo et al., Eur. Phys. J.: Spec. Top. 226, 1623-1694 (2017)] (ECHo collaboration) ultimately leading to a measurement of the electron neutrino mass with an uncertainty on the sub electronvolt level.

Abstract
ZusammenfassungDer BGN als Unfallversicherungsträger für Beschäftigte im Nahrungsmittel- und Gastgewerbe werden aktuell jährlich etwa 2000 berufsbedingte Hauterkrankungen gemeldet. Beschäftigte in der Gastronomie sind dabei am häufigsten betroffen, gefolgt von Bäckern, Konditoren, Backwarenverkäufern, Beschäftigten im Bereich der Fleischwirtschaft und in der Lebensmittel- und Getränkeindustrie. Als Hauptbelastungsfaktoren für die Haut an Händen und Unterarmen gelten Feuchtarbeit sowie Kontakt zu Nahrungsmitteln. Kumulativ-subtoxische Kontaktdermatitis, atopisches Ekzem und deutlich seltener auch die allergische Kontaktdermatitis sind die häufigsten Primärdiagnosen im Hautarztbericht. Wird seitens der Bezirksverwaltung der BGN ein Heilbehandlungsauftrag erteilt, erfolgt zeitnah ein telefonisches Erstprofiling mit dem Betroffenen. Die Teilnahme an einem eintägigen Haut-Basisseminar wird obligatorisch angeboten. Bei schweren berufsbedingten Hauterkrankungen oder langwierigem, chronisch rezidivierendem Verlauf erfolgt je nach Region die Einbeziehung des beratenden Hautarztes der BGN, die Vorstellung in einem speziellen Hautschutzzentrum, die Teilnahme am regionalen Hautpräventionsprogramm der BGN bzw. eine individuelle Tertiärpräventionsmaßnahme (TIP).
