Abstract
BACKGROUND Psychiatric nurses often face abuse, attacks, escape, suicides, and other situations related to the care of patients with mental disorders, which are more likely to induce psychological distress. AIMS This study aimed to examine the relationship between coping styles and psychological distress among Chinese psychiatric nurses in Shandong and the significance of sleep quality as a mediating factor. METHODS A total of 812 psychiatric nurses in Shandong, China, were investigated using the Psychological Distress Scale (K10), Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and self-compiled general information questionnaire. RESULTS Psychological distress was detected in 571 psychiatric nurses (70.3%). The psychological distress of psychiatric nurses was significantly different with respect to professional title (χ2 = 10.627, P < 0.05) and shift work (χ2 = 9.120, P < 0.01). Psychological distress positively correlated with negative coping style (r = 0.266, P < 0.01) and sleep quality (PSQIT) (r = 0.532, P < 0.01). A significant positive correlation was found between psychological distress and all dimensions of sleep quality (r = 0.158-0.456, P < 0.05). Professional title, positive coping style, negative coping style, sleep quality (PSQIT), subjective sleep quality, sleep disorder and daytime dysfunction predicted psychological distress in psychiatric nurses (R 2 = 0.363, F = 65.343, P < 0.01). The relationship between negative coping style and psychological distress was partially mediated by sleep quality, with the mediating effect accounting for 37.97% of the total effect. CONCLUSIONS Psychiatric nurses have a high rate of psychological distress, which is closely related to coping styles, and sleep quality has a certain regulatory effect.

Abstract
Streptococcus pyogenes is a bacterial pathogen that causes a wide spectrum of clinical diseases exclusively in humans. The distribution of emm type, antibiotic resistance and virulence gene expression for S. pyogenes varies temporally and geographically, resulting in distinct disease spectra. In this study, we analyzed antibiotic resistance and resistance gene expression patterns among S. pyogenes isolates from pediatric patients in China and investigated the relationship between virulence gene expression, emm type, and disease categories. Forty-two representative emm1.0 and emm12.0 strains (n = 20 and n = 22, respectively) isolated from patients with scarlet fever or obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome were subjected to whole-genome sequencing and phylogenetic analysis. These strains were further analyzed for susceptibility to vancomycin. We found a high rate and degree of resistance to macrolides and tetracycline in these strains, which mainly expressed ermB and tetM. The disease category correlated with emm type but not superantigens. The distribution of vanuG and virulence genes were associated with emm type. Previously reported important prophages, such as φHKU16.vir, φHKU488.vir, Φ5005.1, Φ5005.2, and Φ5005.3 encoding streptococcal toxin, and integrative conjugative elements (ICEs) such as ICE-emm12 and ICE-HKU397 encoding macrolide and tetracycline resistance were found present amongst emm1 or emm12 clones from Shenzhen, China.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The prevalence of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV genotypes varies in different regions. However, there is little data on HPV prevalence and genotyping in Guangxi Province, South China. This study conducted a 10-year survey in a health center, to estimate the prevalence characteristics of HPV genotypes. METHODS By using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification and nucleic acid molecular hybridization, the HPV genotypes were detected from 77,756 females who were patients of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and those who visited the Health Management Center for a physical examination between August 2011 and November 2020. The prevalence, genotypes, age-related HPV infections, as well as chronological change of HPV prevalence, and the HPV genotype distribution were analyzed. RESULTS The overall prevalence of HPV infection was 21.14% (16,439/77,756). The HPV infection rate differed significantly between the patients of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the women who underwent a physical examination (22.98% vs. 9.88%, p < 0.05). The prevalence rates of high-risk HPV, low-risk HPV, mixed HPV (mixed high-risk, and low-risk HPV infection), and multiple HPV infections were 18.96% (14,739/77,756), 4.09% (3178/77,756), 1.90% (1478/77,756), and 4.94% (3838/77,756), respectively. The most prevalent genotypes were HPV 52, 16, and 58. The age-associated HPV prevalence showed bimodal curves, with the first peak at <25 years and the second peak at >56 years. CONCLUSIONS This study provides baseline data on the HPV prevalence in the general female population of Nanning, Guangxi Province. Women <25 and >56 years old faced the greatest threat of HPV infection, and HPV 52, 16, and 58 were the most common genotypes.

Abstract
This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the sleep quality of psychiatric nurses in China and explore the risk factors affecting it. This study used the stratified random sampling method. The general data questionnaire was conducted using the 10-item Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10), the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were used to investigate the prevalence and risk factors of sleep quality among 812 psychiatric nurses in China. There were statistically significant differences in sleep quality among different shift frequency. Surveys demonstrated that sleep quality among psychiatric nurses was positively correlated with psychological distress and job burnout. Multiple logistics regression analysis showed that high psychological distress (odds ratio, OR=0.907, p<0.001, 95% confidence interval, CI=0.885-0.931), high emotional exhaustion (OR=0.946, p<0.001, 95% CI=0.921-0.972), low depersonalization (OR=1.061, p=0.004, 95% CI=1.019-1.104), and low personal accomplishment (OR=0.972, p=0.018, 95% CI=0.949-0.995) were the contributing factors of sleep quality. Future studies should investigate effective measures to relieve psychological distress and alleviate burnout, particularly for psychiatric nurses with poor sleep quality.

Abstract
Medical diagnostic image analysis (e.g., CT scan or X-Ray) using machine learning is an efficient and accurate way to detect COVID-19 infections. However, the sharing of diagnostic images across medical institutions is usually prohibited due to patients' privacy concerns. This causes the issue of insufficient data sets for training the image classification model. Federated learning is an emerging privacy-preserving machine learning paradigm that produces an unbiased global model based on the received local model updates trained by clients without exchanging clients' local data. Nevertheless, the default setting of federated learning introduces a huge communication cost of transferring model updates and can hardly ensure model performance when severe data heterogeneity of clients exists. To improve communication efficiency and model performance, in this article, we propose a novel dynamic fusion-based federated learning approach for medical diagnostic image analysis to detect COVID-19 infections. First, we design an architecture for dynamic fusion-based federated learning systems to analyze medical diagnostic images. Furthermore, we present a dynamic fusion method to dynamically decide the participating clients according to their local model performance and schedule the model fusion based on participating clients' training time. In addition, we summarize a category of medical diagnostic image data sets for COVID-19 detection, which can be used by the machine learning community for image analysis. The evaluation results show that the proposed approach is feasible and performs better than the default setting of federated learning in terms of model performance, communication efficiency, and fault tolerance.

Abstract
Humans maintain good memory and recognition capability of previous environments when they are learning about new ones. Thus humans are able to continually learn and increase their experience. It is also obvious importance for autonomous mobile robot. The simultaneous localization and mapping system plays an important role in localization and navigation of robot. The loop-closure detection method is an indispensable part of the relocation and map construction, which is critical to correct mappoint errors of simultaneous localization and mapping. Existing visual loop-closure detection methods based on deep learning are not capable of continual learning in terms of cross-scene environment, which bring a great limitation to the application scope. In this article, we propose a novel end-to-end loop-closure detection method based on continual learning, which can effectively suppress the decline of the memory capability of simultaneous localization and mapping system by introducing firstly the orthogonal projection operator into the loop-closure detection to overcome the catastrophic forgetting problem of mobile robot in large-scale and multi-scene environments. Based on the three scenes from public data sets, the experimental results show that the proposed method has a strong capability of continual learning in the cross-scene environment where existing state-of-the-art methods fail.

Abstract
Abstract
Aim
Acute appendicitis is one of the most common paediatric surgical emergencies. Prompt diagnosis and interventions reduce the risk of perforation and prevents complications. The aim of the audit was to determine the appropriateness of operative intervention and to improve patient care by implementing changes. We assessed several performance indicators including the percentage of appendicectomy performed within 12 hours of decision to operate, the percentage of negative appendicectomy and the 30 days re-admission rate.
Method
All consecutive paediatric patients who had appendicectomy in our district general hospital from Jan 2017 to 2019 were included in the initial audit. For re-audit, we collected data from July 2019 to March 2020. Patients were identified from the theatre system and ward notes, theatre charts and biochemistry and histology results were collected from the electronic patient records.
Results
A total of 193 patients were included in the initial audit. Results showed that 52.8% of patients were reviewed by a consultant prior to surgery, 92% of patients had surgery within 12 hours of the decision to operate. The rate of negative appendicectomy rate was 25%.
Conclusions
Following this audit, several changes have been implemented including improving consultant review of paediatric patients, increasing imaging done by radiologists for paediatric patient. Re-audit showed that 86.7% of patients were reviewed by a consultant preoperatively. Negative appendicectomy rate remained the same at 24.4%. Admissions within 30 days of discharge improved from 13.8% in the initial audit to 11.5% in re-audit.

Abstract
High-strength and reversible adhesion technology, which is a universal phenomenon in nature but remains challenging for artificial synthesis, is essential for the development of modern science. Existing adhesive designs without interface versatility hinder their application to arbitrary surfaces. Bioinspired by creeper suckers, a crystal-fiber reinforced polymer gel adhesive with ultrastrong adhesion strength and universal interface adaptability is creatively prepared via introducing a room-temperature crystallizable solvent into the polymer network. The gel adhesive formed by hydrogen bonding interaction between crystal fibers and polymer network can successfully realize over 9.82 MPa reversible adhesion strength for rough interface and 406.87 J m-2 peeling toughness for skin tissue. In situ anchoring is achieved for adapting to different geometrical surfaces. The adhesion performance can be significantly improved with the further increase of the interfacial roughness and hydrophilicity, whose dissipation mechanism is simulated by finite element analysis. The melting-crystallization equilibrium of the crystal fibers is proved by synchrotron radiation scattering. Accordingly, reversible phase-transition triggered by light and heat can realize the controlled adhere-detach recycle. Later adjustments to the monomers or crystals are expected to broaden its applications to various fields such as bioelectronics, electronic processing, and machine handling.

Abstract
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a common lymphoproliferative and invasive disease. The current first-line regimen for the treatment of DLBCL is R-CHOP, which is the combination of rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone. R-CHOP has significantly improved the outcome of DLBCL in the last decades. However, 30-40% of patients fail the therapy with R-CHOP. Salvage chemotherapy for relapsed/refractory DLBCL (R/R DLBCL) is extremely challenging, especially in elderly patients. In July 2020, a new monoclonal antibody, tafasitamab, was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States for the treatment of DLBCL. Tafasitamab is an anti-CD19 monoclonal antibody which is Fc-enhanced and humanized. CD19 is typically expressed in the developing B cells in non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. Tafasitamab has been proven to be a safe and valid treatment and recommended to be used in combination with lenalidomide in adults with R/R DLBCL who are ineligible for autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). This article evaluates the pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, mechanism of action and the clinical application of tafasitamab in the treatment of DLBCL, particularly in R/R DLBCL. The advantages and disadvantages of using tafasitamab and chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR-T cells) targeting CD19 are also discussed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Dupilumab is an antibody against interleukin 4 receptor α, used in treating atopic dermatitis (AD). OBJECTIVES To evaluate the efficacy and safety of dupilumab in adult Chinese patients with moderate-to-severe AD. METHODS In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, phase III study, conducted between December 2018 and February 2020, patients with AD received dupilumab (300mg) or placebo once every 2 weeks for 16 weeks, and were followed up for 12 weeks. The primary efficacy endpoint was the proportion of patients with both Investigator's Global Assessment (IGA) score of 0-1 and a reduction from baseline of ≥2 points at week 16. RESULTS Overall, 165 patients (mean age: 30.6 years; 71.5% male) were randomized: 82 to dupilumab and 83 to placebo. At week 16, 26.8% of patients in the dupilumab group and 4.8% of patients in the placebo group achieved the primary endpoint (difference, 22.0%; 95% confidence interval [CI], 11.37-32.65%; p<0.0001). Compared with placebo, higher proportions of patients in the dupilumab group achieved ≥75% reduction in the Eczema Area and Severity Index score (57.3% vs 14.5%; difference, 42.9%; 95% CI, 29.75-55.97%; p<0.0001) and had ≥3-point (52.4% vs 9.6%; difference, 42.8%; 95% CI, 30.26-55.34%; p<0.0001) and ≥4-point (39.0% vs 4.8%; difference, 34.2%; 95% CI, 22.69-45.72%; p<0.0001) reductions in weekly average daily peak daily pruritus numerical rating scale scores. The incidence of TEAEs during the treatment period was similar in the two groups. The incidence of conjunctivitis, allergic conjunctivitis, and injection site reaction was higher in the dupilumab group than in the placebo group. CONCLUSIONS In adult Chinese patients, dupilumab was effective in improving the signs and symptoms of AD and demonstrated a favorable safety profile.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the etiology of necrotizing pneumonia (NP) in children and the clinical characteristics of NP caused by different pathogens in China. Methods: A retrospective, case-control study was performed in children with NP who were admitted to 13 hospitals in China from January 2008 to December 2019. The demographic and clinical information, laboratory data, etiological and radiological findings were analyzed. The data were divided into three groups based on the following years: 2008-2011, 2012-2015 and 2016-2019, and the distribution characteristics of the pathogens in different period were compared. Meanwhile, the pathogens of pediatric NP in the southern and northern China were compared. And the clinical characteristics of the Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) NP and the bacterial NP were also compared. T-test or Mann-Whitney nonparametric test was used for comparison of numerical variables, and χ2 test was used for categorical variables. Results: A total of 494 children with NP were enrolled, the median ages were 4.7 (0.1-15.3) years, including 272 boys and 222 girls. Among these patients, pathogens were identified in 347 cases and the pathogen was unclear in the remaining 147 cases. The main pathogens were MP (238 cases), Streptococcus pneumoniae (SP) (61 cases), Staphylococcus aureus (SA) (51 cases), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (13 cases), Haemophilus influenzae (10 cases), adenovirus (10 cases), and influenza virus A (7 cases), respectively. MP was the most common pathogen in all three periods and the proportion increased yearly. The proportion of MP in 2016-2019 was significantly higher than that in 2012-2015 (52.1% (197/378) vs. 36.8% (32/87), χ2=6.654, P=0.010), while there was no significant difference in the proportion of MP in 2012-2015 and that in 2008-2011 (36.8% (32/87) vs. 31.0% (9/29), χ²=0.314, P=0.575).Regarding the regional distribution, 342 cases were in the southern China and 152 in the northern China. Also, MP was the most common pathogen in both regions, but the proportion of MP was higher and the proportion of SP was lower in the north than those in the south (60.5% (92/152) vs. 42.7% (146/342), χ2=13.409, P<0.010; 7.9% (12/152) vs. 14.3% (49/342), χ2=4.023, P=0.045). Comparing the clinical characteristics of different pathogens, we found that fever and cough were the common symptoms in both single MP and single bacterial groups, but chest pain was more common (17.0% (34/200) vs. 6.1% (6/98), χ2=6.697, P=0.010) while shortness of breath and wheezing were less common in MP group (16.0% (32/200) vs. 60.2% (59/98), χ2=60.688, P<0.01; 4.5% (9/200) vs. 21.4% (21/98), χ2=20.819, P<0.01, respectively). The white blood cell count, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in the bacterial group were significantly higher than those in the MP group (14.7 (1.0-67.1)×109/L vs. 10.5 (2.5-32.2)×109/L, 122.5 (0.5-277.3) mg/L vs. 51.4 (0.5-200.0) g/L, 2.13 (0.05-100.00) μg/L vs. 0.24 (0.01-18.85) μg/L, Z=-3.719, -5.901 and -7.765, all P<0.01). Conclusions: The prevalence of pediatric NP in China shows an increasing trend during the past years. MP, SP and SA are the main pathogens of NP, and the most common clinical symptoms are fever and cough. The WBC count, C-reactive protein and procalcitonin in bacterial NP are significantly higher than those caused by MP.

Abstract
Cell sheet engineering represents a new era of precise and efficient regenerative medicine, but its efficacy is limited by the elaborative preparation and the weak mechanics. Herein, a near-infrared (NIR)-triggered dynamic wrinkling biointerface was designed for rapid acquisition of practical cell sheets. The biocompatible NIR can initiate the photothermal-mechanical linkage cascade to efficiently dissolve the collagen supporting layer and release the high-quality cell sheets. The interfacial shear force generates with the dynamic wrinkling, playing an active role in accelerating the cell sheet release. High-quality and self-supporting cell sheets can be harvested within a few minutes, demonstrating a new paradigm of photothermal-mechanical manipulation. The transplantable cell sheets with outstanding physiological and mechanical performances were proven to promote wound healing in skin regeneration. This method may open a completely new front in thermal and mechanical responsive cascade to harvest cell sheets, facilitating their wide applications in regenerative medicine.

Abstract
Saxagliptin (SAX) can protect against tissue damage caused by diabetic nephropathy. However, whether this compound can restore kidney function, and its specific mechanism of action remain unclear. The present study explored the therapeutic effects and mechanisms of SAX. Male Wistar rats (8 weeks old) were randomly divided into the following groups: A control group (n=10); a group with streptozocin-induced diabetes mellitus (DM) treated with saline (n=20); and a group with streptozocin-induced DM treated with SAX (n=20). Following 20 weeks of treatment, renal function and the extent of renal damage were assessed based on histological staining using hematoxylin and eosin, periodic acid-Schiff and Masson's trichrome staining. The experimental results indicated that Streptozocin induction of DM led to thicker basement membranes in mesangial cells and a more abundant extracellular matrix. These changes were ameliorated following treatment with SAX. The data demonstrated that renal tissue and renal cell apoptosis were ameliorated significantly following treatment with SAX. Furthermore, the expression levels of the apoptotic genes poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) and caspase 3 were significantly decreased following treatment with SAX. Therefore, SAX may reduce the extent of renal apoptosis and pathological outcomes in diabetic nephropathy by downregulating the expression of caspase 3 and PARP-1 in the death receptor pathway of apoptosis.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate serum levels of von Willebrand factor lytic protease (ADAMTS13) and thrombospondin-1 (TSP1) in patients with different types of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and their correlation with the patients' clinical prognosis. OBJECTIVE According to their disease history, results of angiography and clinical biochemical tests, a total of 405 patients undergoing coronary angiography, were divided into unstable angina (UAP) group (n=215), acute myocardial infarction (AMI) group (n=96), and angiographically normal group (n=94). Serum ADAMTS13 and TSP1 levels were detected in all the patients, who were followed up for 15 months to evaluate the occurrence of long-term major cardiac adverse events (MACE). OBJECTIVE Serum ADAMTS13 level was significantly lower and TSP1 level was significantly higher in AMI group and UAP group than in the normal group (P < 0.001). Serum ADAMTS13 and TSP1 levels were negative correlated in ACS patients (R=-0.577, P < 0.001). The patients experiencing MACE had significantly different serum TSP1 level from those without MACE (P < 0.05). Cox proportion regression model analysis showed that TSP1 was a risk factor affecting the occurrence of MACE in ACS patients; Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the patients with high levels of TSP1 had a higher incidence of longterm MACE than those with low TSP1 levels. OBJECTIVE A lowered serum ADAMTS13 level and an elevated TSP1 level can support the diagnosis of ACS. An elevated TSP1 level may serve as an indicator for predicting the risk of MACE in patients with ACS.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the consistency of peripheral whole blood and venous serum procalcitonin (PCT) levels, and the value of peripheral whole blood PCT in evaluating pediatric bacterial infection. Methods: This multicenter cross-sectional parallel control study was conducted in 11 children's hospital. All the 1 898 patients older than 28 days admitted to these hospitals from March 2018 to February 2019 had their peripheral whole blood and venous serum PCT detected simultaneously with unified equipment, reagent and method. According to the venous serum PCT level, the patients were stratified to subgroups. Analysis of variance and chi-square test were used to compare the demographic characteristics among groups. And the correlation between the peripheral blood and venous serum PCT level was investigated by quantitative Pearson correlation analysis. The PCT resultes were also converted into ranked data to further test the consistency between the two sampling methods by Spearman's rank correlation test. Furthermore, the ranked data were converted into binary data to evaluate the consistency and investigate the best cut-off of peripheral blood PCT level in predicting bacterial infection. Results: A total of 1 898 valid samples were included (1 098 males, 800 females),age 27.4(12.2,56.7) months. There was a good correlation between PCT values of peripheral whole blood and venous serum (r=0.97, P<0.01). The linear regression equation was PCTvenous serum=0.135+0.929×PCTperipheral whole blood. However, when stratified to 5 levels, PCT results showed diverse and unsatisfied consistency between the two sampling methods (r=0.51-0.92, all P<0.01). But after PCT was converted to ordinal categorical variables, the stratified analysis showed that the coincidence rate of the measured values by the two sampling methods in each boundary area was 84.9%-97.1%. The dichotomous variables also showed a good consistency (coincidence rate 96.8%-99.3%, Youden index 0.82-0.89). According to the severity of disease, the serum PCT value was classified into 4 intervals(<0.5、0.5-<2.0、2.0-<10.0、≥10.0 μg/L), and the peripheral blood PCT value also showed a good predictive value (AUC value was 0.991 2-0.997 9). The optimal cut points of peripheral whole blood PCT value 0.5、1.0、2.0、10.0 μg/L corresponding to venous serum PCT values were 0.395, 0.595, 1.175 and 3.545 μg/L, respectively. Conclusions: There is a good correlation between peripheral whole blood PCT value and the venous serum PCT value, which means that the peripheral whole blood PCT could facilitate the identification of infection and clinical severity. Besides, the sampling of peripheral whole blood is simple and easy to repeat.

Abstract
The spiral is a fundamental structure in nature and spiral structures with controllable handedness are of increasing interest in the design of new chiroptical materials. In this study, micrometer-scale spiral structures with reversible chirality were fabricated based on the assembly of a liquid crystalline block copolymer film assisted by enantiopure tartaric acid. Mechanistic insight revealed that the formation of the spiral structures was closely related to the liquid crystalline properties of the major phase of block copolymer under the action of chiral tartaric acid. The chiral spiral structures with controllable handedness were easily erased under ultraviolet light irradiation and restored via thermal annealing. This facile thermal treatment method provides guidance for fabrication of chiral micrometer-scale spiral structures with adjustable chiral properties.

Abstract
AIM The present study aimed to assess the benefits of two-stent techniques for patients with DEFINITION criteria-defined complex coronary bifurcation lesions. METHODS AND RESULTS In total, 653 patients with complex bifurcation lesions at 49 international centres were randomly assigned to undergo the systematic two-stent technique (two-stent group) or provisional stenting (provisional group). The primary endpoint was the composite of target lesion failure (TLF) at the 1-year follow-up, including cardiac death, target vessel myocardial infarction (TVMI), and clinically driven target lesion revascularization (TLR). The safety endpoint was definite or probable stent thrombosis. At the 1-year follow-up, TLF occurred in 37 (11.4%) and 20 (6.1%) patients in the provisional and two-stent groups, respectively [77.8%: double-kissing crush; hazard ratio (HR) 0.52, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.30-0.90; P = 0.019], largely driven by increased TVMI (7.1%, HR 0.43, 95% CI 0.20-0.90; P = 0.025) and clinically driven TLR (5.5%, HR 0.43, 95% CI 0.19-1.00; P = 0.049) in the provisional group. At the 1 year after indexed procedures, the incidence of cardiac death was 2.5% in the provisional group, non-significant to 2.1% in the two-stent group (HR 0.86, 95% CI 0.31-2.37; P = 0.772). CONCLUSION For DEFINITION criteria-defined complex coronary bifurcation lesions, the systematic two-stent approach was associated with a significant improvement in clinical outcomes compared with the provisional stenting approach. Further study is urgently warranted to identify the mechanisms contributing to the increased rate of TVMI after provisional stenting. Abstract
Flexible electronic materials have aroused significant interest due to the need for flexible electronics in a variety of applications. However, several obstacles such as low mechanical properties, interfacial adhesion problems, and nonreusability hinder their rapid development. Here, an ionogel was developed by a one-step photopolymerization of an ionic liquid (IL) with the C═C bond of 1-vinyl-3-butylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate in another ionic liquid solution of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate without a chemical cross-linker. The poly(ionic liquid) and the ionic liquid (PIL/IL) were highly compatible and resulted in an extremely uniform, stable, and optically transparent PIL/IL ionogel. In addition, this method also avoided complicated solvent replacement in the preparation processes of common ionogels. Our experimental and theoretical results showed that the reported ionogel integrated excellent mechanical properties, ultrastrong adhesive, self-healability, and recyclability. These remarkable advantages were benefited from the strong electrostatic force and other noncovalent bond interactions in the ionogel system. The unique ionogel presented in this study is therefore an ideal candidate material for self-adhesive and reusable wearable electronics.
