Abstract
A 33-year-old man presented with recurrent oral ulcers for more than 10 years,accompanying dyspnea and dysphagia for 1 year and aggravate for 1 month.Physical examination:pharyngeal cavity stenosis,mucous retention, epiglottis was extruded into the infant type. Electronic laryngoscope:Epiglottis curl,bilateral pyriform sinus disappeared.Ulcer and scar changes can be seen in the lateral wall of bilateral hypopharynx, piriform sinus and posterior annular area,and cover the throat inlet.Neck CT showed: soft tissue thickening in the posterior wall of oropharynx and laryngopharynx-prevertebral fascia, thickening in the right aryepiglottic fold and with local niche;slight uneven enhancement in enhanced scanning, and disappearance of bilateral pyriform sinus.Bilateral parapharyngeal space is clear, laryngopharyngeal wall is not thick, bilateral vocal cords are not thick, and laryngopharyngeal space is clear.Diagnosis: pharyngeal stenosis (scar?); Behcet's disease..

Abstract
IMPORTANCE By demonstrating with TEL-AML1, this study indicated that mRNAs transcribed from fusion genes are ideal targets for minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and that different thresholds are needed to apply them into the risk stratification. OBJECTIVE TEL-AML1 expression was measured at three time points to 1) determine cut-off values for predicting acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) relapse; 2) investigate the prognostic value of this method and how well the results at these time points correlated; 3) determine the correlation between MRD levels assessed using this marker and that determined by immunoglobulin/T-cell receptor (Ig/TCR) rearrangement detection. METHODS TEL- AML1 expression in 62 children with ALL was quantitated by real-time quantitative PCR at day 15, day 33, and month 3. The relationship between patient outcome and TEL-AML1 level was analyzed at each time point. The correlation between the MRD levels determined by TEL-AML1 or Ig/TCR rearrangements was also analyzed. RESULTS For day 33, 6.68 TEL-AML1 copies/104 ABL copies was determined to be the best cut-off value. Higher levels were correlated with relapse (P = 0.001). For day 15 and month 3, the best cut-off values were 336.5 and 0.85 copies/104 ABL copies respectively; patients with higher expression levels had lower RFSs (day 15: P = 0.027; month 3: P = 0.023). For days 15 and 33, MRD levels assessed using TEL-AML1 or Ig/TCR rearrangements were strongly correlated [Spearman rank correlation coefficient (ρ) = 0.729 (day 15), 0.719 (day 33); P < 0.001 (both)], and both methods were equally effective at predicting relapse. At month 3, there was moderate correlation between the results derived from the two markers (ρ = 0.418, P = 0.003); however, receiver operating characteristic curve analysis showed that TEL-AML1 was a better prognostic marker. INTERPRETATION TEL-AML1 is an effective marker for MRD assessment and relapse prediction in children with ALL.

Abstract
Objective:The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of immunosuppression in patients with allergic rhinitis with multiple sensitization of dust mites and Alternaria.Method:An open, label random parallel controlled clinical study was conducted. Sixty dust mites and alternaria multi-sensitized allergic rhinitis patients were enrolled and randomized into immunotherapy group and medication group.Evaluation indicators included symptom scores, medication scores,symptom medication combined scores,RQLQ and serum allergen-specific IgE.In immunotherapy group, side effects were also observed and recorded.Result:After 24 months of treatment, all the scores were significantly lower than baseline,in both immunotherapy group and medication group.The scores of immunotherapy group were significantly lower than those of the medication group. Only local side effects were observed in immunotherapy group,without any systemic side effects and anaphylaxis.Conclusion: Mixed immunotherapy with dust mites and alternaria was effective and safe in allergic rhinitis patients and it had better curative effect than medication.

Abstract
Wireless channel propagation characteristics and models are important to ensure the communication quality of wireless sensor networks in agriculture. Wireless channel attenuation experiments were carried out at different node antenna heights (0.8 m, 1.2 m, 1.6 m, and 2.0 m) in the tillering, jointing, and grain filling stages of rice fields. We studied the path loss variation trends at different transmission distances and analyzed the differences between estimated values and measured values of path loss in a free space model and a two-ray model. Regression analysis of measured path loss values was used to establish a one-slope log-distance model and propose a modified two-slope log-distance model. The attenuation speed in wireless channel propagation in rice fields intensified with rice developmental stage and the transmission range had monotone increases with changes in antenna height. The relative error (RE) of estimation in the free space model and the two-ray model under four heights ranged from 6.48–15.49% and 2.09–13.51%, respectively, and these two models were inadequate for estimating wireless channel path loss in rice fields. The ranges of estimated RE for the one-slope and modified two-slope log-distance models during the three rice developmental stages were 2.40–2.25% and 1.89–1.31%, respectively. The one-slope and modified two-slope log-distance model had better applicability for modeling of wireless channels in rice fields. The estimated RE values for the modified two-slope log-distance model were all less than 2%, which improved the performance of the one-slope log-distance model. This validates that the modified two-slope log-distance model had better applicability in a rice field environment than the other models. These data provide a basis for modeling of sensor network channels and construction of wireless sensor networks in rice fields. Our results will aid in the design of effective rice field WSNs and increase the transmission quality in rice field sensor networks.

Abstract
RATIONALE Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) accounts for approximately 5% of all congenital heart disease. However, only 1% of patients with TOF survive to the age of 40 years without undergoing surgery. Additionally, the relationship between intracerebral hemorrhage and unrepaired TOF remains unknown. We report a rare case of unrepaired TOF in a patient who presented with intracerebral hemorrhage, and we also present a literature review. PATIENT CONCERNS A 40-year-old man presented with headache and right-sided limb weakness. DIAGNOSES He was diagnosed with TOF approximately a year prior to presentation and did not undergo any definitive treatment or any symptomatic management. Head computed tomography revealed an intracerebral hematoma in the left basal ganglia. The patient was drowsy, and his blood oxygen saturation was 77%. INTERVENTIONS Owing to his poor cardiopulmonary status, the patient did not undergo surgery and was treated with only symptomatic supportive therapy. OUTCOMES After 2 days of therapy, his disturbance of consciousness and motor ability showed improvement. LESSONS Literature reviews reveal that intracerebral hemorrhage is rarely observed in patients with TOF, and to date, only 3 cases have been reported. Furthermore, this patient was 40 years old and did not undergo cardiac surgery. Severe hypoxia, as well as low levels of platelets and coagulation factors in the blood could have led to intracerebral hemorrhage.

Abstract
Multiphase CoCr2O4/Ni core-shell nanowires (NWs) have been synthesized within anodic aluminum oxide membranes by the combination of the sol-gel method with electrodeposition techniques. X-ray diffraction and x-ray photoemission spectroscopy results confirmed the formation of a cubic spinel structure of CoCr2O4 shell with space group Fd-3m (227). The morphology and composition of the as-grown NWs were studied by field emission scanning electron microscopy, as well as transmission electron microscopy. The magnetic properties of the CoCr2O4 NT shell and hybrid CoCr2O4/Ni NWs were measured at low temperature using a physical property measurement system. The temperature dependence of the magnetization curves showed that CoCr2O4 NTs undergo a transition from a paramagnetic state to a ferrimagnetic state at about 90 K and a spiral ordering transition temperature near 22 K. An enhanced coercivity and saturation field were observed for the CoCr2O4/Ni core-shell NWs compared to the single-phase Ni NWs. Micromagnetic simulation results indicated that there is a strong coupling between the shell and core layers during the magnetization reversal process. The combination of hard CoCr2O4 and soft Ni in a single NW structure may have potential applications in future multifunctional devices.

Abstract
Objective:To study the value of acelluar dermal matrix xenografts associated with conchoplasty in the open mastoidectomy.Method:One hundred and thirty-three cases of chronic otitis media undergoing open mastoidectomy and conchoplasty were enrolled in this study. The effects were analyzed and compared between 70 cases in plastic group repaired by acelluar dermal matrix xenografts and 63 cases in control group.Result:The epithelization time is 28.5d and the dry-ear time is 27.15 d in plastic group. In control group, they were 60.75d and 44.35d respectively. The difference had statistical significanceConclusion:The application of cattle acelluar dermal matrix xenograft associated with conchoplasty in the open mastoidectomy is beneficial to the recovery of the cavity which can shorten mastoid cavity epithelization time, promoting dry ear, reducing postoperative infection and granulation.

Abstract
Objective: To optimize the clinical managements of primary fetal hydrothorax (PFHT) fetus by comparing the perinatal survival rate of different prenatal treatments. Methods: Totally 13 fetuses diagnosed with PFHT from July 2009 to December 2015 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University were collected and received prenatal expectant treatment, thoracocentesis (TC), and thoraco-amniotic shunting (TAS), respectively. The perinatal survival rate was compared among the three treatments. Results: Among 13 fetuses of PFHT, pleural effusion was absorbed or remained stable in 2(2/13) cases, and progressed in 11(11/13) cases. Six cases received expectant treatment (2 cases had termination of pregnancy due to progressing effusion, 2 cases had term delivery, and 2 cases had intrauterine death); the perinatal survival rate was 2/6. Six cases received TC (2 cases had term delivery, 2 cases had preterm delivery, and 2 cases had termination of pregnancy due to progressing effusion), the perinatal survival rate was 4/6. One case received TC+TAS (term delivery), the perinatal survival rate was 1/1. The overall perinatal survival rate of prenatal intrauterine intervention was 5/7. Conclusions: The clinical process of PFHT is changeable, and the pleural effusion will progress with gestational age. Intrauterine interventions could improve the perinatal survival rate.

Abstract
We analyze the Sun's shadow observed with the Tibet-III air shower array and find that the shadow's center deviates northward (southward) from the optical solar disk center in the "away" ("toward") interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) sector. By comparing with numerical simulations based on the solar magnetic field model, we find that the average IMF strength in the away (toward) sector is 1.54±0.21_{stat}±0.20_{syst} (1.62±0.15_{stat}±0.22_{syst}) times larger than the model prediction. These demonstrate that the observed Sun's shadow is a useful tool for the quantitative evaluation of the average solar magnetic field.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical effects of retroperitoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy (RPLU) and flexible-ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy (f-UHLL) for complicated upper ureteral calculi. Methods: A total of 45 cases of complicated upper ureteral calculi between March 2014 and January 2016 in Department of Urology, Affiliated Jiangyin Hospital of Southeast University Medical College were retrospectively analyzed, there were 32 males and 13 females, ranging from 27 to 45 years with an average age of (34.1±9.5) years. Of the 45 patients, 28 had ureteral distortion and 17 had concurrent ureteral stones in the lower or middle ipsilateral ureter. In those patients, 20 cases underwent f-UHLL, and 25 cases received RPLU. The stone size, operation time, hospital stay, stone clearance rates and postoperative fever rates between the two groups were compared with t test and χ(2)test. Results: The operation was successfully performed in all patients, no complications with leakage of urine or ureteral perforation occurred, and no significant difference in renal function between the two methods were founded in postoperative period. There was no significant difference in operation time((78.4±8.5) minuetes vs.(73.3±11.3) minuetes, t=0.61, P=0.67), time of double J tube removed ((33.8±3.4)days vs. (37.6±8.9) d, t=2.37, P=0.08) and ipsilateral renal glomerular filtration rates ((41.3±7.6)ml/minuetes vs.(40.5±7.1) ml/min, t=0.78, P=1.27) between the two groups. However, the hospitalization time ((5.9±1.7)days vs. (4.2±1.6) days, t=1.92, P=0.04), postoperative fever rates (4% vs.30%, χ(2)=5.72, P=0.03) and calculus clearance rates (100% vs. 75%, χ(2)=7.03, P=0.01) in RPLU were significantly higher than f-UHLL. Besides, 5 patients in the f-UHLL group had postoperative stone residue and were treated with extracorpore shock wave lithotripsy. Conclusions: Both RPLU and f-UHLL are safety and validity for complex upper ureteral calculi. RPLU can improve the rate of calculus removal and reduce the rate of postoperative fever.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To use next generation sequencing (NGS) to identify unknown abnormality of chromosome 9 in a fetus and explore its mechanism. METHODS A pregnant woman with abnormal fetal ultrasound finding underwent amniocentesis for G-banded chromosomal analysis. Karyotyping was also performed on peripheral blood samples derived from its parents. Fetal blood sample was obtained for NGS testing to identify abnormality unrecognized by karyotyping. RESULTS Analysis of amniocytes has revealed a 46,XX,der(9)(?::p21 to qter) karyotype, while both parents had a normal karyotype. NGS analysis of the fetus revealed a 20.67 Mb duplication (4 454 279-25 126 275) at 9p21.3p24.2, which overlapped with that of the 9p duplication syndrome, and a 4.43 Mb deletion at 9p24.2p24.3 (10 001-4 442 364), which partially overlapped with that of 9p deletion syndrome and 46,XY sex reversal 4 region. Comparison of the sequencing data with reference genome database indicated direct duplication of 9p21.3p24.2, which was also supported by review of the morphology of chromosome 9p. Therefore, the karyotype of the fetus was verified to be 46,XX,der(9) dir dup(9)(p21.3p24.2), del(9)(p24.2p24.3). CONCLUSION Combined G-banded karyotyping and NGS can identify dir dup del(9p) with accuracy. Delineation of the mechanism of dir dup del(9p) and its genotype-phenotype correlation may facilitate genetic counseling and estimation of recurrence risk.

Abstract
BACKGROUND DNA methyltransferase 3A (DNMT3A) mutations have been found in approximately 20% of adult acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients and in 0% to 1.4% of children with AML, and the hotspots of mutations are mainly located in the catalytic methyltransferase domain, hereinto, mutation R882 accounts for 60%. Although the negative effect of DNMT3A on treatment outcome is well known, the prognostic significance of other DNMT3A mutations in AML is still unclear. Here, we tried to determine the incidence and prognostic significance of DNMT3A mutations in a large cohort in Chinese childhood AML. METHODS We detected the mutations in DNMT3A exon 23 by polymerase chain reaction and direct sequencing in 342 children with AML (0-16 years old) from January 2005 to June 2013, treated on BCH-2003 AML protocol. The correlation of DNMT3A mutations with clinical characteristics, fusion genes, other molecular anomalies (FLT3 internal tandem duplication [FLT3-ITD], Nucleophosmin 1, C-KIT (KIT proto-oncogene receptor tyrosine kinase), and Wilms tumor 1 mutations), and treatment outcome were analyzed. RESULTS DNMT3A mutations were detected in 4 out of 342 (1.2%) patients. Two patients were PML-RARA positive and 1 patient was FLT3-ITD positive. The mutations in coding sequences included S892S, V912A, R885G, and Q886R. Furthermore, there was 1 intronic mutation (c.2739+55A>C) found in 1 patient. No association of DNMT3A mutations with common clinical features was found. Two patients with DNMT3A mutations died of relapse or complications during treatment. One patient gave up treatment due to remission induction failure in day 33. Only 1 patient achieved continuous complete remission. CONCLUSIONS DNMT3A mutations were rare in Chinese children with AML including PML-RARA positive APL. The mutation positions were different from the hotspots reported in adult AML. DNMT3A mutations may have adverse impact on prognosis of children with AML.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze a case with Angelman syndrome (AS) using single nucleotide polymorphism array (SNP array) and explore its genotype-phenotype correlation. METHODS G-banded karyotyping and SNP array were performed on a child featuring congenital malformations, intellectual disability and developmental delay. Mendelian error checking based on the SNP information was used to delineate the parental origin of detected abnormality. Result of the SNP array was validated with fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). RESULTS The SNP array has detected a 6.053 Mb deletion at 15q11.2q13.1 (22,770,421- 28,823,722) which overlapped with the critical region of AS (type 1). The parents of the child showed no abnormal results for G-banded karyotyping, SNP array and FISH analysis, indicating a de novo origin of the deletion. Mendelian error checking based on the SNP information suggested that the 15q11.2q13.1 deletion was of maternal origin. CONCLUSION SNP array can accurately define the size, location and parental origin of chromosomal microdeletions, which may facilitate the diagnosis of AS due to 15q11q13 deletion and better understanding of its genotype-phenotype correlation.

Abstract
Several nanotechnology applications are based on the promising scheme of highly anisotropic magnetic nanomaterials. Using this idea, we investigated the structure, magnetic properties, and interfacial exchange anisotropy effects of the Ni/Cr2O3 and Fe/Cr2O3 core-shell nanowires (NWs) geometry. A template-based strategy was developed to synthesize Ni (Fe)-Cr2O3 core-shell NWs, which combines a wet-chemical route and electrodeposition within the nanopores of the membranes. Structural determination in correlation with magnetic testing shows that the crystalline Cr2O3-nanoshells (NSs) cause an enhanced exchange bias, providing an extra source of anisotropy that leads to their magnetic stability. This core-shell NWs geometry, with enhanced anisotropy, should, therefore, motivate further study related to the applicability of anisotropic nanostructures. Our design opens a new pathway to obtain optimized heterostructured nanomaterials exhibiting tunable magnetic properties.

Abstract
Objective: To improve the awareness of bloodborne pathogen exposure protection knowledge, reduce the contact incidence (including sharp injuries, contacting with the broken skin and mucous mem-brane contact) , and increase the self-report incidence of bloodborne pathogen exposure in the healthcare work-ers of the investigated hospital after the intervention. To summarize effective prevention and intervention mea-sures of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogen. Methods: The project was on the basis of previous inves-tigations in a general hospital, after comparing the personnel structure and departments distribution of 727 HC-Ws before the intervention and 614 HCWs after the intervention, we selected several departments in which the healthcare workers with a higher risk of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens. We promoted the hospi-tal to set up occupational health prevention and control system, improved related files, supplemented by knowl-edge training, discussion and field guidance, such a comprehensive intervention in the hospital. After the inter-vention, we conducted an cross-sectional investigation, and compared the rate of protection knowledge aware-ness, self-reporting rate after exposure, occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens (including sharp inju-ries, contacting with the broken skin and mucous membrane contact) incidence before and after the intervention. Results: Before and after the intervention, the total score of the investigated population of 14 knowledge points that we focused on in training showed a significant difference (P<0.05) , total contact incidence of bloodborne pathogen exposure reduced from 81.57 persons/100 persons per year to 43.81 persons/100 persons per year, the RR of bloodborne pathogen exposure in the former investigation was 1.86 times of that in the latter investigation, the self-reported incidence increased form 2.06 persons/100persons per year to 9.45 persons/100 persons per year, self-reporting rate after exposure increased form 0.47% to 9.65%. Conclusion: The interventions signifi-cantly improved the awareness of bloodborne pathogen exposure protection knowledge, effectively reduced the contact incidence of bloodborne pathogen exposure, and increased the self-reported incidence in the healthcare workers of the investigated hospital.

Abstract
Pancreatic cancer is a fatal malignancy worldwide and urgently requires valid therapies. Previous research showed that the HDAC inhibitor chidamide is a promising anti-cancer agent in pancreatic cancer cell lines. In this study, we elucidate a probable underlying anti-cancer mechanism of chidamide involving the degradation of Mcl-1. Mcl-1 is frequently upregulated in human cancers, which has been demonstrated to participate in oxidative phosphorylation, in addition to its anti-apoptotic actions as a Bcl-2 family member. The pancreatic cancer cell lines BxPC-3 and PANC-1 were treated with chidamide, resulting in Mcl-1 degradation accompanied by induction of Mcl-1 ubiquitination. Treatment with MG132, a proteasome inhibitor reduced Mcl-1 degradation stimulated by chidamide. Chidamide decreased O2 consumption and ATP production to inhibit aerobic metabolism in both pancreatic cancer cell lines and primary cells, similar to knockdown of Mcl-1, while overexpression of Mcl-1 in pancreatic cancer cells could restore the aerobic metabolism inhibited by chidamide. Furthermore, chidamide treatment or Mcl-1 knockdown significantly induced cell growth arrest in pancreatic cancer cell lines and primary cells, and Mcl-1 overexpression could reduce this cell growth inhibition. In conclusion, our results suggest that chidamide promotes Mcl-1 degradation through the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, suppressing the maintenance of mitochondrial aerobic respiration by Mcl-1, and resulting in inhibition of pancreatic cancer cell proliferation. Our work supports the claim that chidamide has therapeutic potential for pancreatic cancer treatment.

Abstract
In this paper, feasibility of coblation treatment for epiglottis neuroendocrine carcinoma is discussed. The eligible case is operated by plasma, and the recurrence of tumor isn't found during the follow-up period. Hence, neuroendocrine carcinoma which is discovered early and localized can be attempted to resect by this method. However, based on cautions consideration, it also needs to further research for the long-term effect of radiofrequency coblation treatment.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To determine a measurement standard of irregular scar area by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different measurement methods in measuring same irregular scar area. METHODS Irregular scar area was scanned by digital scanning and measured by coordinate reading method, AutoCAD pixel method, Photoshop lasso pixel method, Photoshop magic bar filled pixel method and Foxit PDF reading software, and some aspects of these methods such as measurement time, repeatability, whether could be recorded and whether could be traced were compared and analyzed. RESULTS There was no significant difference in the scar areas by the measurement methods above. However, there was statistical difference in the measurement time and repeatability by one or multi performers and only Foxit PDF reading software could be traced back. CONCLUSIONS The methods above can be used for measuring scar area, but each one has its advantages and disadvantages. It is necessary to develop new measurement software for forensic identification.

Abstract
One hundred and twenty-six blood samples were collected from healthy sheep and goats in Xinjiang, China, during July 2014. Seventy-three samples (57.93%) were bluetongue virus (BTV) serology-positive, and 39 samples (30.95%) were BTV NS1 gene-positive. BTV strain XJ1407 was isolated from the blood of BTV NS1 gene-positive animals and sequenced. Analysis of its genome sequence suggests that XJ1407 is a novel BTV serotype.

Abstract
A versatile approach towards nanofabrication of highly reproducible Co/BiCoO3 (Co/BCO) core/shell (CS) nanowires (NWs) with different diameters has been adopted by demonstrating easily available and low cost sol-gel and electrodeposition routes. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the tetragonal system of the BCO nanoshells (NSs) with the space group P4mm. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) clearly demonstrates the uniform morphology with well aligned CS NWs. The magnetization reversal processes (MRPs), experimentally and with analytical modelling, have been discussed for CS NWs with θ ranging from 0° (in-plane magnetic easy axis) to 90° (out-of-plane magnetic hard axis) with magnetic hysteresis loops and geometrical parameters. Crossover from the vortex to transverse reversal mode on increasing θ has been observed for all diameters. An exchange bias effect has been observed for smaller CS NWs diameters and it is attributed to the shell thickness of ∼25 nm. Furthermore, the magnetic anisotropy effect has been discussed in some detail.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the outcomes of applying microvascular anastomotic coupling devices in solitary upper extremity artery injury repairs and to optimize parameters for optimal clinical outcome. METHODS From March to September 2013, 19 injured arteries from 18 male patients who presented at Department of Hand Surgery, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital with traumatic arterial lacerations of their upper extremities went through rapid repair procedures. COUPLER, a microvascular anastomotic coupling device was applied in these artery injury repair operations. The 19 repaired arteries included 3 brachial arteries, 6 ulnar arteries and 10 radial arteries. After the procedures, all the 18 patients were then followed up by clinical specialists and examined with color doppler flow imaging for the effective recovery of artery circulation and upper extremities functionality. RESULTS The average time of artery repairs for all the 19 damaged arteries among the 18 patients was 278 s and the average follow-up time was (71.5±40.9) d with the longest follow-up time as 116 d and shortest as 14 d. No patient returned to the operating room after the procedures and after being dismissed from the hospital. None of the 18 cases were reported to have problems with circulation and thrombosis formation in their upper extremities. Color Doppler imaging showed that the arterial anastomotic site for all the 19 repaired arteries were unobstructed with artery blood spectrum at both ends. Three patients with radial artery repairs complained about mild pressure pain at the site of vascular anastomosis; while the other 15 patients all expressed satisfactory outcomes of the surgery and recovery. These evidences indicated that the outcomes of our initial evaluation for the solitary upper extremity artery injury repairs by using anastomotic coupling devices were positive. CONCLUSION Our observations have showed that microvascular anastomotic coupling devices can be used for repairing of solitary upper extremity artery injures. The procedures are quick, effective and safe. The clinical application of this microvascular anastomotic coupling device in artery injures is promising, however, additional evidences through further clinical investigation with more cases are warranted.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the prenatal application of single nucleotide polymorphism array (SNP array) in the identification of 5p deletion syndrome with partial trisomy 11q. METHODS G-banded karyotyping and SNP array were performed using amniocytes on a fetus with multiple malformations for the identification of chromosome abnormality. Furthermore, karyotyping was carried out on the parental peripheral blood specimens to ascertain the origin of chromosome abnormalities and then fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) was also utilized to confirm the results. RESULTS Karyotype of amniocyte showed 46, XY, der(5) (?::p15 → qter). SNP array revealed a 13.907 Mb deletion at 5p15.33p15.2 (chr5: 113576-14020561), overlapping the region of 5p deletion syndrome, and a 18.254 Mb duplication at 11q23.3 q25 (chr11: 116684627-134938470), overlapping no known syndrome. Karyotype of the parents showed a normal 46,XX in mother and 46,XY,t(5;11)(p15;q23) in father. Three-color metaphase FISH analysis on paternal peripheral blood specimens also confirmed the paternal karyotyping result. CONCLUSION SNP array could uncover 5p deletion syndrome with partial trisomy 11q unidentified by G-banded karyotyping and accurately locate the genomic breakpoints, facilitating the mapping of pathogenic critical regions and the identification of candidate genes, also accumulating research data for genotype-phenotype study.

Abstract
Pancreatic cancer is a fatal human malignancy associated with an exceptionally poor prognosis. Novel therapeutic strategies are urgently required to treat this disease. In addition to immunosuppressive activity, triptolide possesses strong antitumor activity and synergistically enhances the antitumor activities of conventional chemotherapeutic drugs in preclinical models of pancreatic cancer. The present study investigated the antitumor effects of triptolide in pancreatic cancer cells, either in combination with gemcitabine, or alone. The pancreatic cancer BxPC-3 and PANC-1 cell lines were treated with triptolide, which resulted in time- and dose-dependent growth arrest. When incorporated into a sequential schedule, triptolide synergistically increased gemcitabine-induced cell growth inhibition and apoptosis, in addition to the cooperative regulation of B-cell lymphoma 2 family proteins and loss of mitochondrial membrane potential. Furthermore, triptolide enhanced gemcitabine-induced S phase arrest and DNA double-strand breaks, possibly through checkpoint kinase 1 suppression. The results of the present study suggest that triptolide has therapeutic potential for the treatment of pancreatic cancer, particularly when administered in combination with gemcitabine.
