Abstract
Curcumin (Cur) has been used extensively in dietary supplement with antioxidant and anti-apoptotic properties. Although dibutyl phthalate (DBP) has adverse effects on the kidney, any association between DBP exposure and the role of Cur is unclear. We tested the hypothesis that exposure to DBP has adverse consequences on renal dysfunction in mice and the potential protective role of Cur in decreasing DBP-induced renal dysfunction via inhibiting oxidative stress and apoptosis. Kidney function, oxidative stress biomarkers, and apoptosis factors as well as Bcl-2 and Bax were investigated. The results showed a marked increase of renal dysfunction, oxidative stress and apoptosis level after DBP exposure compared to the control. While administration of Cur to DBP-treated mice may reduce these adverse biochemical changes compared with DBP-alone group. Overall, these results suggest that oxidative stress and apoptosis are involved in DBP-induced renal disorder, whereas Cur plays a protective role in inhibiting these two pathways.

Abstract
AIM To develop and test the first causal model of thriving at work in Chinese nurses. BACKGROUND Nurses' ability to thrive at their work is critical to retain qualified nurses and meet the needs of a constantly changing health environment. However, this is a poorly researched area. INTRODUCTION Thriving at work refers to the feeling of vitality and learning at work, which are evidenced to be solidly associated with nurses' development. Only a few factors have been explored regarding the effects of thriving at work. METHODS A cross-sectional study was undertaken using stratified random sampling. This involved 565 nurses from five general hospitals in Dali city, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China. Data were collected from April to September 2019 using seven instruments. The model was constructed and tested using the Analysis of Moment Structure program and reported using the STROBE checklist. RESULTS All model variables provided direct and indirect effects to the outcome. The final model fitted the empirical data with acceptable indices. DISCUSSION Predicting variables of workplace mindfulness, authentic leadership, workplace violence, organizational justice and years of experience were found to affect thriving at work directly and indirectly. Psychological capital and perceived organizational support mediated the effects between predicting variables to the outcome. CONCLUSION AND IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING AND HEALTH POLICY Recommendations for nursing and health leaders are provided to improve nurses' thriving at work by building fair, supportive, and safe working environments, improving head nurses' authentic leadership and cultivating nurses' mindfulness. Policies need to be promulgated to improve and regulate the nurse-patient ratio and to eliminate violence against Chinese nurses.

Abstract
Objective: To understand the infectious status of Lyme disease among patients with arthritis symptoms in Hainan Province, and to provide a theoretical basis for prevention and control of Lyme disease. Methods: From 2013 to 2018, sampling surveys had been conducted in medical institutions in 8 cities in Hainan Province(Haikou, Sanya, Danzhou, Dongfang, Wenchang, Qionghai, Qiongzhong, Wuzhishan), 2 311 patients serum samples were collected with arthritis symptoms, and descriptive research were conducted base on the collected clinical data. The Indirect Fluorescent-Antibody Test (IFA) method was used for preliminary screening of Lyme disease antibody, the Western Blot (WB) method was used for IFA positive samples confirmation. Statistical analysis using χ2 test. Results: 2 311 serum samples were tested by IFA, and 166 were positive with the positive rate of 7.18%. Further confirmed by WB method, 62 samples were positive, the positive rate of Lyme disease antibody was 2.68%(62/2 311). The positive rate of Lyme disease antibody among patients with arthritis in different regions of Hainan was statistically significant (χ²=40.636,P<0.001), and the positive rate in Qiongzhong city was the highest (8.81%, 14/159). Danzhou's positive rate was the second highest, 5.62%(5/89). Dongfang city had the lowest positive rate (0.51%, 2/394). The positive rates of Lyme disease serum antibody in men and women were 2.79% (33/1 182) and 2.57% (29/1 129), respectively; the positive rates of antibodies between each age groups were in the range of 1.74% to 3.64%. The antibody positive rate of Lyme disease showed no significant difference between gender and age (χ²=0.110,P=0.740 ;χ²=1.938,P=0.747). Conclusion: Patients with arthritis symptoms caused by Borrelia burgdorferi infection were found in 8 cities in Hainan province, but the Lyme disease antibody positive rate was different among cities, with Qiongzhong County being the highest.

Observation of Multiplicity Dependent Prompt χ_{c1}(3872) and ψ(2S) Production in pp Collisions. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2021; 126:092001. Abstract
The production of χ_{c1}(3872) and ψ(2S) hadrons is studied as a function of charged particle multiplicity in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb^{-1}. For both states, the fraction that is produced promptly at the collision vertex is found to decrease as charged particle multiplicity increases. The ratio of χ_{c1}(3872) to ψ(2S) cross sections for promptly produced particles is also found to decrease with multiplicity, while no significant dependence on multiplicity is observed for the equivalent ratio of particles produced away from the collision vertex in b-hadron decays. This behavior is consistent with a calculation that models the χ_{c1}(3872) structure as a compact tetraquark. Comparisons with model calculations and implications for the binding energy of the χ_{c1}(3872) state are discussed.

Abstract
Nonmonotonic variation with collision energy (sqrt[s_{NN}]) of the moments of the net-baryon number distribution in heavy-ion collisions, related to the correlation length and the susceptibilities of the system, is suggested as a signature for the quantum chromodynamics critical point. We report the first evidence of a nonmonotonic variation in the kurtosis times variance of the net-proton number (proxy for net-baryon number) distribution as a function of sqrt[s_{NN}] with 3.1 σ significance for head-on (central) gold-on-gold (Au+Au) collisions measured solenoidal tracker at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. Data in noncentral Au+Au collisions and models of heavy-ion collisions without a critical point show a monotonic variation as a function of sqrt[s_{NN}].

Abstract
A measurement of CP violation in the decay B^{+}→K^{+}π^{0} is reported using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb^{-1} collected with the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13 TeV. The CP asymmetry is measured to be 0.025±0.015±0.006±0.003, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to an external input. This is the most precise measurement of this quantity. It confirms and significantly enhances the observed anomalous difference between the direct CP asymmetries of the B^{0}→K^{+}π^{-} and B^{+}→K^{+}π^{0} decays, known as the Kπ puzzle.

Abstract
Sepsis is an intractable clinical syndrome characterized by organ dysfunction when the body over-responds to an infection. Sepsis has a high fatality rate and lacks effective treatment. Family with sequence similarity 96 member A (FAM96A) is an evolutionarily conserved protein with high expression in the immune system and is related to cytosolic iron assembly and tumour suppression; however, research has been rarely conducted on its immune functions. Our study found that Fam96a-/- mice significantly resisted lesions during sepsis simulated by caecal ligation and puncture (CLP) or endotoxicosis models. After a challenge with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or infection, Fam96a-/- mice exhibited less organ damage, longer survival and better bacterial clearance with decreased levels of proinflammatory cytokines. While screening several subsets of immune cells, FAM96A-expressing macrophages as the key cell type inhibited sepsis development. In-vivo macrophage depletion or adoptive transfer experiments abrogated significant differences in the survival of sepsis between Fam96a-/- and wild-type mice. Results of the bone marrow-derived macrophage (BMDM) polarization experiment indicated that FAM96A deficiency promotes the transformation of uncommitted monocytes/macrophages (M0) into M2 macrophages, secreting fewer proinflammatory cytokines. FAM96A may mediate an immunometabolism shift - from oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) to glycolysis - in macrophages during sepsis, mirrored by reactive oxygen species (ROS) and glucose uptake. These data demonstrate that FAM96A regulates inflammatory response and provide a novel genomic insight for sepsis treatment.

Clinical utility of expanded non-invasive prenatal screening and chromosomal microarray analysis in high-risk pregnancy. ULTRASOUND IN OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY : THE OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF ULTRASOUND IN OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY 2021; 57:459-465. Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the utility of expanded non-invasive prenatal screening (NIPS), compared with chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA), for the detection of chromosomal abnormalities in high-risk pregnancies. METHODS This was a multicenter retrospective study of singleton pregnancies at high risk for chromosomal abnormality. Patients who underwent expanded NIPS and CMA sequentially during pregnancy from 2015 to 2019 were included in the analysis. Pregnancies with a positive result for sex chromosome aneuploidy were excluded as the full details could not be retrieved. The utility of expanded NIPS and CMA for detection of chromosomal abnormalities in this cohort was compared by assessing the concordance between the results. RESULTS Of the 774 included high-risk pregnancies, 550 (71.1%) had a positive NIPS result, while a positive CMA result was detected in 308 (39.8%) cases. The rate of full or partial concordance between NIPS and CMA was 82.2%, 59.6% and 25.0% for trisomies 21, 18 and 13, respectively. For rare aneuploidies and segmental imbalances, NIPS and CMA results were fully or partially concordant in 7.5% and 33.3% of cases, respectively. Copy-number variants < 5 Mb were detected more often by CMA, with an incidence of 7.9% (61/774) compared with 3.1% (24/774) by NIPS. A genetic aberration was detected by CMA in 1 in 17 (5.8%) high-risk pregnancies that had a negative or non-reportable NIPS result. CONCLUSION CMA allows for comprehensive detection of genome-wide chromosomal abnormalities in high-risk pregnancies. CMA should be offered instead of expanded NIPS for high-risk pregnancies. Liu HY, Li X, Zhu X, Dong WG, Yang GQ. Soybean oligosaccharides attenuate odour compounds in excreta by modulating the caecal microbiota in broilers. Animal 2021; 15:100159. [PMID: 33573977 DOI: 10.1016/j.animal.2020.100159] [Citation(s) in RCA: 2] [Impact Index Per Article: 0.7] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [MESH Headings] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 07/03/2020] [Revised: 11/30/2020] [Accepted: 12/01/2020] [Indexed: 10/22/2022] Open
Abstract
Abatement of odour emissions in poultry production is important to ensure the quality and safety in the poultry industry as well as for the benefit of the environment. This study was conducted to compare the effects of supplementation with different amounts of dietary soybean oligosaccharides (SBO) and chlortetracycline (CHL) on the major odour-causing compounds in the excreta and on the caecal microbiota in broiler chickens. One-day-old broiler chickens were subjected to a 42-day experiment involving 6 treatments with 6 replicates per treatment (10 birds/cage). The treatments were as follows: negative control (NC; basal diet), positive control (PC; basal diet supplemented with CHL) and basal diet supplemented with 0.5, 2.0, 3.5 and 5.0 g/kg SBO (0.5SBO, 2.0SBO, 3.5SBO and 5.0SBO, respectively). Fresh excreta were sampled for the analysis of odour compounds by HPLC. Caecum content was collected for the caecal microbiota analysis through 16S rRNA sequencing. Results showed that on day 42, the excreta indole concentration in the broilers fed with 2.0SBO, 3.5SBO and 5.0SBO and PC was significantly decreased (P < 0.01) compared with that in the NC-fed broilers. The excreta skatole concentration (P < 0.001) and pH (P < 0.05) were also decreased by SBO and CHL, and they were lowest in birds fed with 3.5SBO. The formate concentrations in birds fed with 3.5SBO and 5.0SBO were higher than those in birds fed with the other diets (P < 0.001). Similarly, acetate concentration (P = 0.003) was increased in birds fed with 3.5SBO. Deep sequencing of 16S rRNA revealed that the composition of the caecal microbial digesta was slightly or significantly changed by the SBO or by the CHL supplementation, respectively. The SBO supplementation decreased the abundance of Bacteroides, Bilophilaand Escherichia, which were associated with the skatole and indole concentrations in the excreta. By contrast, the CHL supplementation demonstrated a strong tendency to enrich Ruminococcus and to reduce the abundance of Rikenella. These results indicated that supplementation with dietary SBO is beneficial in attenuating the concentration of odour-causing compounds and that it modulates the composition of caecal microbiota in broiler chickens.

Abstract
The first observation of the suppressed semileptonic B_{s}^{0}→K^{-}μ^{+}ν_{μ} decay is reported. Using a data sample recorded in pp collisions in 2012 with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 fb^{-1}, the branching fraction B(B_{s}^{0}→K^{-}μ^{+}ν_{μ}) is measured to be [1.06±0.05(stat)±0.08(syst)]×10^{-4}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second one represents the combined systematic uncertainties. The decay B_{s}^{0}→D_{s}^{-}μ^{+}ν_{μ}, where D_{s}^{-} is reconstructed in the final state K^{+}K^{-}π^{-}, is used as a normalization channel to minimize the experimental systematic uncertainty. Theoretical calculations on the form factors of the B_{s}^{0}→K^{-} and B_{s}^{0}→D_{s}^{-} transitions are employed to determine the ratio of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements |V_{ub}|/|V_{cb}| at low and high B_{s}^{0}→K^{-} momentum transfer.

Abstract
By direct measurements of the gas temperature, the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) has yielded a new diagnostic tool to study the solar chromosphere. Here, we present an overview of the brightness-temperature fluctuations from several high-quality and high-temporal-resolution (i.e. 1 and 2 s cadence) time series of images obtained during the first 2 years of solar observations with ALMA, in Band 3 and Band 6, centred at around 3 mm (100 GHz) and 1.25 mm (239 GHz), respectively. The various datasets represent solar regions with different levels of magnetic flux. We perform fast Fourier and Lomb-Scargle transforms to measure both the spatial structuring of dominant frequencies and the average global frequency distributions of the oscillations (i.e. averaged over the entire field of view). We find that the observed frequencies significantly vary from one dataset to another, which is discussed in terms of the solar regions captured by the observations (i.e. linked to their underlying magnetic topology). While the presence of enhanced power within the frequency range 3-5 mHz is found for the most magnetically quiescent datasets, lower frequencies dominate when there is significant influence from strong underlying magnetic field concentrations (present inside and/or in the immediate vicinity of the observed field of view). We discuss here a number of reasons which could possibly contribute to the power suppression at around 5.5 mHz in the ALMA observations. However, it remains unclear how other chromospheric diagnostics (with an exception of Hα line-core intensity) are unaffected by similar effects, i.e. they show very pronounced 3-min oscillations dominating the dynamics of the chromosphere, whereas only a very small fraction of all the pixels in the 10 ALMA datasets analysed here show peak power near 5.5 mHz. This article is part of the Theo Murphy meeting issue 'High-resolution wave dynamics in the lower solar atmosphere'.

Abstract
AIM To compare single-shot compressed sensing (CS) cine imaging with conventional segmented cine imaging for reliable quantification of left ventricular (LV) volume and strain assessment during cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI). MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-seven participants underwent both single-shot CS and conventional segmented cines that covered the entire LV. LV volumetric and strain values were obtained. LV volumes, global strain, the standard deviation of time to peak strain (SD-TPS) in the radial, longitudinal, and circumferential directions were compared using the Student's t-test and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Interobserver and intra-observer variabilities of the LV strain values for the two cines method were determined using ICC. RESULTS Single-shot CS cine-derived LV volumes and myocardial mass measurements correlated strongly with segmented cines (ICC >0.798) and minor systematic end-systolic volume overestimations resulting in ejection fraction underestimations. Single-shot CS cine-derived global strain and SD-TPS were poorly to moderately correlated with segmented cines (ICC from 0.045-0.706). All global strain values derived from single-shot CS cines were underestimated compared with segmented cine-derived values; however, no significant differences in radial and longitudinal SD-TPS between the two cines were found. Among the patient-related factors, heart rate was a strong predictive factor of global longitudinal strain underestimations (p=0.039) in the CS cines. Inter- and intra-observer LV strain variabilities derived from CS and segmented cines were good to excellent. CONCLUSION Single-shot CS cine CMRI is feasible for the quantitative assessment of LV function. Currently, strain values derived from the two techniques are not interchangeable.

Abstract
AIM To evaluate the accuracy of unenhanced attenuation and early biphasic contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) in differentiating adrenal metastases (AMs) from lipid-poor adrenal adenomas (AAs). MATERIALS AND METHODS This retrospective study included 37 patients with 50 AMs and 86 patients with 89 lipid-poor AAs. Quantitative data including the longest diameter (LD), the shortest diameter (SD), LD/SD ratio, CT attenuation values (CTu, CTa, CTv), degree of enhancement (DEAP, DEPP, DEpeak, APW, RPW), and peak enhanced/unenhanced (PE/U) CT attenuation ratio were obtained. Qualitative data including enhancement pattern, location, shape, the presence of calcification or haemorrhage, and intra-lesion necrosis were analysed. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) were also calculated. RESULTS The PE/U ratio (≤1.25), CTu (≥32.2 HU), DEpeak (≤43.15 HU), DEPP (≤37.65 HU), presence of intralesional necrosis, location (bilateral adrenal glands), and irregular shape were significant variables for differentiating AMs from lipid-poor AAs (p<0.05). Among them, PE/U ratio (≤1.25) was of greater value in differentiating the two adrenal diseases, with sensitivity, specificity, area under the receiver operating curve (ROC) curve (AUC) of 92%, 84%, 0.933, respectively. When at least any three of above criteria were combined, the sensitivity, specificity, PPV, and NPV for diagnosing AMs were 88%, 93%, 88%, and 88%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS These seven CT criteria are conducive to differentiate AMs from lipid-poor AAs. Early biphasic contrast-enhanced CT is a high-efficient and practical imaging tool in differentiating them.

Abstract
The pathogenesis of hepatic encephalopathy (HE) has been generally linked to blood ammonia, gamma-aminobutyric acid and serotonin. However, the exact mechanism remains unclear. In the present study, we aimed to explore the role of hippocampal dopamine (DA) and its receptors in the pathogenesis of HE through the use of behavioral testing, western blotting, and immunofluorescence staining in normal rats, HE model rats and rats treated with the DA precursor-levodopa (L-DOPA). HE model rats manifested fibrotic livers and showed serious behavioral disorders. They also had significantly lower hippocampal DA content and increased expression of both D1 and D2 receptors relative to normal rats. After treatment with L-DOPA, the HE model rats showed normal behavior and expression of D1 returned to normal levels. Furthermore, pretreatment with the D1 antagonist SCH23390 blocked the therapeutic effect of L-DOPA on behavior in HE model rats. Taken together, these results clarify that the decrease in hippocampal DA plays a role in the pathogenesis of HE and that this effect is mediated by D1. These findings provide new evidence for the pathogenesis of HE.

Abstract
The demand for healthy old-age care is growing rapidly in China. The traditional old-age care model can no longer meet elderly patients' demands for medical care and old-age care. To promote the development of medical care-integrated old-age care, a solution covering multiple aspects is necessary. In the context of the global development of healthy aging, China recently issued many policies to integrate old-age care with medical care, establishing protection for a large number of disabled elderly people. The Integrated Care of Older People (ICOPE) project is an international program developed by the World Health Organization. This paper reviews China's medical and old-age care integration model and the opportunities and challenges in implementing the ICOPE in the context of healthy aging in China.

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE As a very common risk of adverse outcomes of the ischemic stroke patients, sarcopenia is associated with infectious complications and higher mortality. The goal of this retrospective study is to explore the predictive value of serum Cr/CysC ratio in acute ischemic stroke patients receiving nutritional intervention. METHODS We reviewed adult patients with AIS from December 2019 to February 2020. Patients with acute kidney injury were excluded and all patients received nutritional intervention during a 3-month follow-up period. We collected baseline data at admission including creatinine and cystatin C. The primary poor outcome was major disability (modified Rankin Scale score ≥ 4) at 3 months after AIS. RESULTS A total of 217 patients with AIS were identified for this study. Serum Cr/CysC ratio was significantly correlated with NIHSS at discharge, 1-month modified Rankin Scale score, and 3-month modified Rankin Scale score. During 3 months, 34 (15.70%) patients had a poor outcome after AIS and 11 (5.10%) patients died within 30 days. In multivariable logistic regression analyses, serum Cr/CysC ratio at admission was independently associated with 3-month poor outcomes (OR: 0.953, 95% CI: 0.921-0.986, p = .006) and 30-day mortality (OR: 0.953, 95% CI: 0.921-0.986, p = .006). CONCLUSION As a blood biochemical indexes reflecting the muscle mass and aiding in risk stratification, Cr/CysC ratio at admission could be used as a predictor of 30-day mortality and long-term poor prognosis in AIS patients.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The suppressed hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis after successful surgery for Cushing's disease (CD) will recover in almost all patients. We aimed to identify the predictive factors for HPA axis recovery in CD patients with postoperative remission. Design and Methods. This observational retrospective cross-sectional study enrolled 69 CD patients with postoperative remission in Huashan Hospital from 2015 to 2019. All subjects had a detailed clinical evaluation. The low-dose ACTH stimulation test (LDT) was conducted as the gold standard for assessing the HPA axis function. RESULTS Peak cortisol in LDT was found only to be positively correlative with morning serum cortisol (MSC) (ρ=0.451, p < 0.001). The MSC was higher (p < 0.001), and the median postoperative course was significantly longer (p=0.025) in the patients with the recovered HPA axis function compared with unrecovered patients. The AUC value of MSC for predicting the recovery of the HPA axis was 0.701, and the optimal cutoff was 6.25 μg/dl (sensitivity 85.19% and specificity 47.62%). Other useful cutoff values were 10.74 μg/dl (specificity 100%) and 4.18 μg/dl (sensitivity 100%). Besides, combined with the postoperative course, the AUC values were higher than MSC alone (0.935 vs. 0.701, p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS MSC is a viable first-step diagnostic predictor for HPA axis recovery in CD patients with postoperative remission. For the patients with cortisol levels between 4.18 and 10.74 μg/dl, a confirmatory test should be conducted. When the MSC level was 10.74 μg/dl or greater, the replacement therapy could be discontinued.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The carcinogenic effects of circular RNA circ-PRKCI have been recognized in a variety of malignancies. However, the exact biological function of circ-PRKCI in gastric cancer has not been fully elucidated. Therefore, the aim of this study was to explore the expression of circ-PRKCI in gastric cancer (GC) and to investigate its potential regulation mechanism in the pathogenesis and progression of GC. PATIENTS AND METHODS The expression of circ-PRKCI in 50 GC tissues and cell lines was detected by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). Statistical methods were used to analyze the relation between circ-PRKCI expression and overall survival rate of patients. The effect of circ-PRKCI on GC cell proliferation was examined by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and cell colony formation assays. Meanwhile, the effect of circ-PRKCI on the invasion ability of GC cells was determined by transwell invasion assay. Flow cytometry was used to detect the apoptosis of GC cells. Bioinformatics was used to search for miRNAs that might have direct effects with circ-PRKCI. In addition, the binding of circ-PRKCI to microRNA-545 was validated using Dual-Luciferase reporter gene assay. RESULTS Circ-PRKCI was significantly highly expressed in GC tissues, as well as cell lines. High expression of circ-PRKCI was positively associated with a poor prognosis of GC patients. Overexpression of circ-PRKCI significantly promoted the proliferation and invasion of GC cells, whereas reduced the proportion of apoptotic GC cells. Subsequent Dual-Luciferase reporter gene assay revealed that circ-PRKCI could bind to microRNA-545 and inhibit its expression in GC cells. These results indicated that circ-PRKCI might promote the development of GC by adsorbing microRNA-545 in a sponge manner. CONCLUSIONS Circ-PRKCI can be used as a potential prognostic indicator of GC, providing a new perspective for the potential bio-molecular mechanism in GC.

Model-Independent Study of Structure in B^{+}→D^{+}D^{-}K^{+} Decays. PHYSICAL REVIEW LETTERS 2020; 125:242001. Abstract
The only anticipated resonant contributions to B^{+}→D^{+}D^{-}K^{+} decays are charmonium states in the D^{+}D^{-} channel. A model-independent analysis, using LHCb proton-proton collision data taken at center-of-mass energies of sqrt[s]=7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}, is carried out to test this hypothesis. The description of the data assuming that resonances only manifest in decays to the D^{+}D^{-} pair is shown to be incomplete. This constitutes evidence for a new contribution to the decay, potentially one or more new charm-strange resonances in the D^{-}K^{+} channel with masses around 2.9 GeV/c^{2}.

Abstract
A search for the decay K_{S}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-} is performed using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.6 fb^{-1} and collected with the LHCb experiment during 2016, 2017, and 2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The observed signal yield is consistent with zero, yielding an upper limit of B(K_{S}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})<2.2×10^{-10} at 90% C.L.. The limit reduces to B(K_{S}^{0}→μ^{+}μ^{-})<2.1×10^{-10} at 90% C.L. once combined with the result from data taken in 2011 and 2012.

Abstract
A study of prompt charm-hadron pair production in proton-lead collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=8.16 TeV is performed using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 30 nb^{-1}, collected with the LHCb experiment. Production cross sections for different pairs of charm hadrons are measured and kinematic correlations between the two charm hadrons are investigated. This is the first measurement of associated production of two charm hadrons in proton-lead collisions. The results confirm the predicted enhancement of double parton scattering production in proton-lead collisions compared to the single parton scattering production.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study evaluated the bioequivalence of China-manufactured biosimilar, HLX02, to reference China (CN)- and European Union (EU)-sourced trastuzumab. METHODS This was a two-part Phase 1 study conducted in healthy Chinese males. Part 1 evaluated the safety of different doses of HLX02 (2, 4, 6 or 8 mg/kg; intravenous infusion over 90 min, n = 3 per group). Part 2, a randomized, double-blind study, investigated the pharmacokinetics (PK), safety and immunogenicity of study drugs (HLX02 [n = 37], CN-trastuzumab [n = 35] or EU-trastuzumab [n = 37] at the dose suggested by Part 1 results). The primary PK endpoint was the area under the serum concentration-time curve from time 0 to infinity (AUCinf). Equivalence was concluded if the 90% confidence interval (CI) for the geometric least squares mean ratio (GLSMR) fell in the equivalence criteria of 0.80-1.25. RESULTS In Part 1, all doses of HLX02 were well tolerated and 6 mg/kg was suggested for Part 2. The GLSMRs and 90% CIs for AUCinf were: 0.950 (0.891-1.013), 0.914 (0.858-0.973) and 0.962 (0.902-1.025) for HLX02 versus CN-trastuzumab, HLX02 versus EU-trastuzumab and CN-trastuzumab versus EU-trastuzumab, respectively. Secondary endpoints comparisons also fell in the equivalence criteria. Treatment-emergent adverse events were reported in 75.7, 86.5 and 70.3% of the subjects in HLX02, CN-trastuzumab, and EU-trastuzumab groups, respectively. No serious adverse events or deaths occurred. No treatment-related anti-drug antibodies were detected. CONCLUSION This study demonstrated comparable safety profiles and PK bioequivalence among HLX02, CN-trastuzumab and EU-trastuzumab in healthy Chinese male subjects. Liu Z, Chen Q, Li J, Zhu X, Xu L, Wu W. Anticoagulation profile of high-dose vs. standard-dose enoxaparin for percutaneous coronary intervention. Eur Heart J 2020. Abstract
Abstract
Background
Although enoxaparin 0.5 mg/kg is a recommended anticoagulation regimen for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), a randomized study demonstrated that more patients receiving enoxaparin 0.75 mg/kg compared to those receiving 0.5 mg/kg achieved therapeutic anticoagulation without increase of major bleeding. However, no detailed data regarding the anticoagulation profile of enoxaparin 0.75 mg/kg was reported in the study.
Purpose
This study prospectively assessed the anticoagulation profile of enoxaparin 0.75 mg/kg vs. 0.5 mg/kg in troponin-negative patients undergoing elective trans-radial coronary angiography (CAG).
Methods
Eligible patients were randomly assigned to the Planned Single-dose group (0.75 mg/kg) or the Planned Staged-dose group (0.5±0.25 mg/kg). In the Planned Single-dose group, all patients received enoxaparin 0.75 mg/kg before CAG irrespective of their indication for subsequent PCI. In the Planned Staged-dose group, enoxaparin 0.5 mg/kg was administered to all patients before CAG and additional 0.25 mg/kg was given only to those undergoing subsequent PCI immediately before PCI. Patients without indication for subsequent PCI in each group were defined as High-dose (0.75 mg/kg) and Standard-dose (0.5 mg/kg) groups, respectively. Anti-Xa levels were assessed at 0 min (immediately before), 10 min, and 90 min after enoxaparin administration. Therapeutic anticoagulation was defined as anti-Xa level of 0.5–1.8 IU/ml. Bleeding was according to the thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) criteria.
Results
In 170 randomized patients, 48 of 85 patients in the Planned Single-dose group and 47 of 85 patients in the Planned Staged-dose group were included in the High-dose and Standard-dose groups, respectively. The baseline characteristics were well balanced between the two groups. The anti-Xa levels were higher in the High-dose vs. Standard-dose group both at 10 min (1.354±0.228 IU/ml vs. 0.976±0.213 IU/ml, p<0.001) and 90 min (0.827±0.195 IU/ml vs. 0.583±0.169 IU/ml, p<0.001) (Figure 1). The percentages of patients with therapeutic anticoagulation were similar at 10 min (100% [46/46] vs. 100% [46/46], p=1.000) but higher at 90 min (100% [41/41] vs. 75% [33/44], p=0.001) in the High-dose vs. Standard-dose group. No TIMI major or minor bleeding occurred within 24 h of randomization in both groups.
Conclusions
Enoxaparin 0.75 mg/kg compared to 0.5 mg/kg provided higher anticoagulation which was adequate for up to 90 min of administration. Enoxaparin 0.75 mg/kg would be a superior anticoagulation regimen for PCI, especially when the procedure duration is long.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Anticoagulation is indicated in patients undergoing trans-radial coronary angiography (CAG) with or without percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). However, full-dose enoxaparin given before CAG to all patients may cause over-anticoagulation in those without indication for subsequent PCI.
Purpose
This study prospectively assessed the anticoagulation profile of staged-dose (0.5±0.25 mg/kg) vs. single-dose (0.75 mg/kg) enoxaparin in troponin-negative patients undergoing elective trans-radial PCI.
Methods
Eligible patients were randomly assigned to the Planned Staged-dose group or the Planned Single-dose group. In the Planned Staged-dose group, enoxaparin 0.5 mg/kg was administered to all patients before CAG and additional 0.25 mg/kg was given only to those undergoing subsequent PCI immediately before PCI. In the Planned Single-dose group, all patients received enoxaparin 0.75 mg/kg before CAG irrespective of their indication for subsequent PCI. Patients undergoing subsequent PCI in each group were defined as Staged-dose and Single-dose groups, respectively. Anti-Xa levels were assessed at 0 min (before) and 10 min after enoxaparin administration (CAG-0min and CAG-10min, respectively), and 0 min (before) and 10 min after the beginning of PCI (PCI-0min and PCI-10min, respectively), and at the end of PCI (PCI-end). Therapeutic anticoagulation was defined as anti-Xa levels of 0.5–1.2 IU/ml before PCI and 0.5–1.8 IU/ml during PCI, respectively. Bleeding was according to the thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) criteria.
Results
In 170 randomized patients, 38 of 85 and 37 of 85 patients were included in the Staged-dose and the Single-dose groups, respectively. The baseline characteristics were well balanced between the two groups. The anti-Xa levels were lower before PCI (CAG-10min: 0.903±0.124 IU/ml vs. 1.303±0.207 IU/ml, p<0.001; PCI-0min: 0.874±0.149 IU/ml vs. 1.215±0.185 IU/ml, p<0.001) and higher during PCI (PCI-10min: 1.207±0.190 IU/ml vs. 1.083±0.157 IU/ml, p=0.004; PCI-end: 1.079±0.237 IU/ml vs. 1.050±0.255 IU/ml, p=0.62) in patients receiving staged-dose vs. single-dose enoxaparin (Figure 1). The percentages of patients with therapeutic anticoagulation were higher before PCI (CAG-10min: 100% [35/35] vs. 30.6% [11/36], p<0.001; PCI-0min: 96.8% [30/31] vs. 54.1% [20/37], p<0.001) and similar during PCI (PCI-10min: 100% [34/34] vs. 100% [36/36], p=1.000; PCI-end: 97.2% [35/36] vs. 100% [36/36], p=1.000) in the Staged-dose vs. the Single-dose group. No TIMI major or minor bleeding occurred within 24 h of randomization in both groups.
Conclusions
Although both regimens of enoxaparin achieved adequate anticoagulation during the entire course of PCI, the staged-dose compared to the single-dose regimen reduced over-anticoagulation before PCI. The staged-dose enoxaparin would be a superior anticoagulation regimen in patients undergoing trans-radial CAG, especially when the indication for subsequent PCI is unclear.

Abstract
Provocative research has revealed both positive and negative effects of hormones on hearing as we age; with in some cases, mis-regulation of hormonal levels in instances of medical comorbidities linked to aging, lying at the heart of the problem. Animal model studies have discovered that hormonal fluctuations can sharpen hearing for improved communication and processing of mating calls during reproductive seasons. Sex hormones sometimes have positive effects on auditory processing, as is often the case with estrogen, whereas combinations of estrogen and progesterone, and testosterone, can have negative effects on hearing abilities, particularly in aging subjects. Too much or too little of some hormones can be detrimental, as is the case for aldosterone and thyroid hormones, which generally decline in older individuals. Too little insulin, as in Type 1 diabetics, or poor regulation of insulin, as in Type 2 diabetics, is also harmful to hearing in our aged population. In terms of clinical translational possibilities, hormone therapies can be problematic due to systemic side effects, as has happened for estrogen/progestin combination hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in older women, where the HRT induces a hearing loss. As hormone therapy approaches are further developed, it may be possible to lower needed doses of hormones by combining them with supplements, such as antioxidants. Another option will be to take advantage of emerging technologies for local drug delivery to the inner ear, including biodegradeable, sustained-release hydrogels and micro-pumps which can be implanted in the middle ear near the round window. In closing, exciting research completed to date, summarized in the present report bodes well for emerging biomedical therapies to prevent or treat age-related hearing loss utilizing hormonal strategies.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE A model to predict the overall survival (OS) of pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAC) is required in consideration of its inferior prognosis. PATIENTS AND METHODS The patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer between 1975 and 2016 in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database was used as raw data. A training cohort and a verification cohort were used for internal validation and external validation, respectively. The nomogram model was constructed to predict the OS. RESULTS A total of 5,805 patients with PAC from 2010-2015 were analyzed. Most patients were over 65 years old (61.8%), white (81.2%), in stage IIA, IIB (49.0%), and IV (32.4%), less than 50 mm in diameter (80.2%). PAC patients with wide involvement range, no metastasis, and infiltration range more than 300 accounted for 58.2%, 67.6%, 78.2%, respectively. The vast majority of the PAC patients (90.9%) did not receive primary site surgery. Most of the PAC patients (68.1%) received chemotherapy and only 25.8% of PAC patients received radiotherapy. The overall mean survival time, overall median survival time and overall survival rate were 15.1 months, 10.0 months, and 16.7%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Our nomogram that based on age, chemotherapy, grade, Radiation sequence with surgery, Radiation recode, RX Summ-Surg Prim at Site (surgery that removes and/or destroys primary tumor performed as part of the first course of therapy), size, and stage was of well prediction ability.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Reactivity occurs when research participants alter their behaviours due to the awareness of being monitored, which is a concern with using wearable devices to measure physical activity. The purpose of this study was to examine reactivity to accelerometer measurement among youth with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities (ID). METHODS A sample of 175 youth with ID (108 with moderate and 67 with severe ID) was recruited from residential centres in China. Demographic data were measured using a parent-reported questionnaire, and light physical activity (LPA) and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) were measured using the ActiGraph GT3X accelerometers. Data were analysed using an analysis of covariances where Day 1 LPA/MVPA, Day 2-6 LPA/MVPA, and Day 7 LPA/MVPA were repeated measures. RESULTS Youth with moderate ID had significantly higher LPA (8.01%) and MVPA (10.30%) on Day 1 than Day 2-6. Similarly, youth with severe ID had significantly higher LPA (21.69%) and MVPA (19.48%) on Day 1 than Day 2-6. An inverse reactivity was also found on Day 7 among youth with severe ID for LPA (-10.65%) and MVPA (-14.82%). CONCLUSIONS Reactivity to accelerometer measurement was found for youth with moderate and severe ID. Findings support the utilisation of a 1-day familiarisation period, as well as discounting the final day of measurement, when examining physical activity behaviours among youth with moderate and severe ID.

Abstract
NOD-like receptor pyrin 7 (NLRP7) has been identified as the major gene responsible for the recurrent hydatidiform mole (RHM). The immunological role of NLRP7 mutation in HM patients has not been conclusively demonstrated. Hence, we aim to demonstrate this role in our study. We followed 12 new patients with NLRP7 non-synonymous variations (NSVs) from date to date. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were collected separately from patients with and without NLRP7 mutation. Supernatant interleukin (IL)-1β secretion, intracellular pro-IL-1β and mature IL-1β expressions were measured after 24 h lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation. Plasmids with corresponding NSVs were generated to evaluate the ability of processing pro-IL-1β into mature IL-1β in vitro. Homozygous or compound heterozygous NLRP7 mutations secreted less IL-1β in roots of abnormal intracellular pro-IL-1β or mature IL-1β, according to different domains. Plasmids with NSVs could also affect processing or/and trafficking together with caspase-1 and apoptosis-associated speck-like protein (ASC). Inflammasome-related NLRP7 mutation is a potential mechanism of RHM.

Abstract
An angular analysis of the B^{0}→K^{*0}(→K^{+}π^{-})μ^{+}μ^{-} decay is presented using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb^{-1} of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. The full set of CP-averaged observables are determined in bins of the invariant mass squared of the dimuon system. Contamination from decays with the K^{+}π^{-} system in an S-wave configuration is taken into account. The tension seen between the previous LHCb results and the standard model predictions persists with the new data. The precise value of the significance of this tension depends on the choice of theory nuisance parameters.
