Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of alveolar bone augmentation in teeth with severe periodontitis using orthodontic forced eruption. Methods: Twelve patients (5 males and 7 females) with severe periodontitis and malocclusion who visited the Department of Orthodontics and Department of Periodontology, Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology from October 2018 to May 2022 were included in this retrospective study. The age was (38.8±6.6) years (24-49 years). A total of 16 maxillary incisors that could not be retained due to severe periodontitis were included. The orthodontic fixed appliance was used to extrude the teeth. Cone-beam CT (CBCT) images of the patients before and after orthodontic forced eruption were collected. The voxel-based registration was used to superpose the images before and after orthodontic forced eruption. The height, thickness, and apical alveolar bone area were measured on the sagittal plane. The alveolar bone volume before and after orthodontic forced eruption was measured using three-dimensional reconstruction technique, and the influencing factors related to the alveolar volume change were analyzed. Results: The results of this study showed that the eruption distance of the teeth was (2.37±0.82) mm, and the alveolar bone height increased by (1.11±0.79) and (0.98±0.79) mm (t=3.73, P=0.010; t=4.85, P<0.001). The proximal and distal alveolar bone height increased by (1.10±0.78) and (0.86±1.08) mm, respectively (t=5.59, P<0.001; t=3.18, P=0.006). The alveolar bone thickness decreased (0.30±0.31) mm (t=-3.75, P=0.002) and alveolar bone area increased (6.84±5.86) mm2 (t=3.71, P<0.001). The alveolar bone volume increased (53±49) mm3 (t=4.38, P<0.001). The alveolar bone volume was moderately positively correlated with eruption distance, apical and mesial alveolar bone thickness (r=0.55, P=0.028; r=0.63, P=0.008; r=0.67, P=0.005). Conclusions: Orthodontic forced eruption results in a favorable increase of the alveolar bone in the upper incisor that cannot be retained due to severe periodontitis, which provides better periodontal hard tissue conditions for subsequent dental implant.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to explore the effects of computer-aided cognitive rehabilitation (CACR) combined with virtual reality (VR) technology on event-related potential P300 and cognitive function in patients with cognitive impairment after stroke. PATIENTS AND METHODS Clinical data from 94 patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment, admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to March 2023, were retrospectively analyzed. Of them, 45 patients received routine rehabilitation training (Control group), and 49 patients received CACR combined with VR technology (Observation group). Cognitive rehabilitation status, event-related potential P300 examination status, biochemical indices levels, and daily living activity scores of the two groups were evaluated and compared. RESULTS After treatment, cognitive function significantly improved in the Observation group compared to the Control group. The amplitude of P300 in the Observation group was significantly higher, and the latency was significantly lower compared to the Control group. The levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the Observation group were significantly higher (p<0.05), while the levels of cystatin C (Cys-C) and neuron-specific enolase (NSE) were significantly lower than those in the Control group (p<0.05 each). Patients in the Observation group demonstrated a significantly higher ability to perform daily living activities compared to the Control group (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS Compared with conventional rehabilitation training, the combination of CACR and VR technology in the treatment of stroke-induced cognitive impairment is more effective in improving patients' cognitive function, regulating BDNF, Cys-C, and NSE levels, and enhancing patients' ability to perform daily living activities.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) This study aims to assess the anti-tumor activity and safety of concurrent chemoradiotherapy plus PD-1 blockade in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer. MATERIALS/METHODS This is a single-arm, open-label, prospective phase II study. The key inclusion criteria were treatment-naive patients aged 18-75 years with stage II A2-IVA (FIGO 2018) locally advanced cervical cancer. All patients were treated with concurrent chemoradiotherapy including 2 cycle cisplatin (75mg/m2, for three days, every 3 weeks[Q3W]), nedaplatin or carboplatin can be selected for patients who can't tolerate cisplatin. After CCRT, patients achieving complete response (CR), partial responses(PR), stable disease(SD) received adjuvant chemotherapy (docetaxel 75 mg/m2 day 1+ cisplatin DDP 25 mg/m2 day 1-3, Q3W) for 2 cycle. PD-1 blockade Sintilimab and Tislelizumab was administered intravenously at 200 mg every 3 weeks up to 1 year or until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or withdrawal of consent. The primary endpoint was objective response rate (ORR) assessed by investigators per Response Evaluation Criteria In Solid Tumours (RECIST) version 1.1. Secondary endpoints were the 12, 24-month overall survival (OS) rates, the 12, 24-month disease free survival (DFS) rates and safety. RESULTS From February 2020 to June 2022, a total of 15 patients was enrolled. Median age was 57 years (range, 36-74 years). Stage IIA1 was documented in 2 patients, stage IIA2 in two patients, stage IIIA in one patient, stage IIIC1 in eight patients, and stage IVA in two patients. And 66.7% (10/15) of patients had Metastatic lymph node. Four patients received adjuvant chemotherapy. The ORR was 100%, with 4 patients achieving CR and 11 PR. The 12 and 24-month OS rates are 93.3% and 84%, the 12 and 24-month DFS rates are 86% and 75.4%, respectively. Treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs) occurred in 86.7% (13/15) of patients. Grade 3 TRAEs are leukocyte (n = 1), thrombocytopenia (n = 1), hepatitis (n = 1), skin reaction (n = 1). No treatment-related deaths occurred. And IFN-γ was significantly elevated after radiotherapy (p = 0.0073). CONCLUSION Concurrent chemoradiotherapy plus PD-1 blockade showed promising antitumor activity and manageable toxicities in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer. Long-term outcomes are still pending to further evaluate their therapeutic effects. (ChiCTR2000032856).

Abstract
AIM To develop and validate a computed tomography (CT)-based radiomics nomogram for preoperative prediction of microsatellite instability (MSI) status and clinical outcomes in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS This retrospective study enrolled 497 CRC patients from three centres. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression was utilised for feature selection and constructing the radiomics signature. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were employed to identify significant clinical variables. The radiomics nomogram was constructed by integrating the radiomics signature and the identified clinical variables. The performance of the nomogram was evaluated through receiver operating characteristic curves, calibration curves, and decision curve analysis. Kaplan-Meier analysis was performed to investigate the prognostic value of the nomogram. RESULTS The radiomics signature comprised 10 radiomics features associated with MSI status. The nomogram, integrating the radiomics signature and independent predictors (age, location, and thickness), demonstrated favourable calibration and discrimination, achieving areas under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves (AUCs) of 0.89 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.83-0.95), 0.87 (95% CI: 0.79-0.95), 0.88 (95% CI: 0.81-0.96), and 0.86 (95% CI: 0.78-0.93) in the training cohort, internal validation cohort, and two external validation cohorts, respectively. The nomogram exhibited superior performance compared to the clinical model (p<0.05). Additionally, survival analysis demonstrated that the nomogram successfully stratified stage II CRC patients based on prognosis (hazard ratio [HR]: 0.357, p=0.022). CONCLUSION The radiomics nomogram demonstrated promising performance in predicting MSI status and stratifying the prognosis of patients with CRC.

Abstract
Cervical cancer is one of the most leading causes of cancer death worldwide, and ferroptosis is implicated in the progression of cervical cancer. Cornichon family AMPA receptor auxiliary protein 4 (CNIH4) is involved in the progression of various human cancers; however, its function in cervical cancer remains unclear. The present study aims to investigate the role and mechanism of CNIH4 in cervical cancer using gain- and loss-of-function studies in vitro. SiHa and CaSki cells were infected with lentiviral vectors to manipulate the expression of CNIH4 in vitro, and cell viability, migration, invasion as well as ferroptosis were evaluated. Transcriptome sequencing analysis was performed to further validate the mechanism through which CNIH4 regulated the progression of cervical cancer. The expression of CNIH4 was upregulated in human cervical cancer tissues and cells, and strongly correlated with the decreases in overall survival and disease free survival rates of cervical cancer patients. CNIH4 silence inhibited, while CNIH4 overexpression facilitated the survival of human cervical cancer cells. Mechanistically, CNIH4 elevated solute carrier family 7 member 11 (SLC7A11)-mediated cystine import, and subsequently increased intracellular glutathione synthesis and glutathione peroxidase 4 activity, thereby inhibiting ferroptosis of human cervical cancer cells. SLC7A11 silence significantly abolished CNIH4-mediated inhibition of ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells in vitro. Our study for the first time reveals that CNIH4 inhibits ferroptosis of human cervical cancer cells through upregulating SLC7A11, defining CNIH4 as an attractive therapeutic and prognostic target for cervical cancer.

Abstract
Immune checkpoint blockades are the most promising therapy in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). However, the response rate remains limited, underscoring the urgent need for effective sensitizers. Interleukin 4 induced 1 (IL4I1) is reported to have immunoinhibitory and tumor-promoting effects in several cancers. However, the targetable value of IL4I1 in sensitizing the immunotherapy is not clear, and there is a lack of effective small molecules that specifically target IL4I1. Here, we show that silencing IL4I1 significantly remodels the immune microenvironment via inhibiting aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) signaling, thereby enhancing the efficacy of anti-PD-1 antibody in LUAD, which suggests that IL4I1 is a potential drug target for the combination immunotherapy. We then identify thymol as the first small molecule targeting IL4I1 transcription through a drug screening. Thymol inhibits the IL4I1 expression and blocks AHR signaling in LUAD cells. Thymol treatment restores the antitumor immune response and suppresses the progression of LUAD in an orthotopic mouse model. Strikingly, the combination treatment of thymol with anti-PD-1 antibody shows significant tumor regression in LUAD mice. Thus, we demonstrate that thymol is an effective small molecule to sensitize the PD-1 blockade in LUAD via targeting IL4I1, which provides a novel strategy for the immunotherapy of LUAD.

Abstract
AIMS Autoantibodies against tumour-associated antigens (TAAs) are promising biomarkers for early immunodiagnosis of cancers. This study was designed to screen and verify autoantibodies against TAAs in sera as diagnostic biomarkers for oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). MATERIALS AND METHODS The customised proteome microarray based on cancer driver genes and the Gene Expression Omnibus database were used to identify potential TAAs. The expression levels of the corresponding autoantibodies in serum samples obtained from 243 ESCC patients and 243 healthy controls were investigated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). In total, 486 serum samples were randomly divided into the training set and the validation set in the ratio of 2:1. Logistic regression analysis, recursive partition analysis and support vector machine were performed to establish different diagnostic models. RESULTS Five and nine candidate TAAs were screened out by proteome microarray and bioinformatics analysis, respectively. Among these 14 anti-TAAs autoantibodies, the expression level of nine (p53, PTEN, GNA11, SRSF2, CXCL8, MMP1, MSH6, LAMC2 and SLC2A1) anti-TAAs autoantibodies in the cancer patient group was higher than that in the healthy control group based on the results from ELISA. In the three constructed models, a logistic regression model including four anti-TAA autoantibodies (p53, SLC2A1, GNA11 and MMP1) was considered to be the optimal diagnosis model. The sensitivity and specificity of the model in the training set and the validation set were 70.4%, 72.8% and 67.9%, 67.9%, respectively. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve for detecting early patients in the training set and the validation set were 0.84 and 0.85, respectively. CONCLUSIONS This approach to screen novel TAAs is feasible, and the model including four autoantibodies could pave the way for the diagnosis of ESCC.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To compare the efficacy and safety of antiseizure medications (ASMs), both as monotherapies and adjunctive therapies, for idiopathic generalized epilepsies (IGEs) and related entities. METHODS Two reviewers independently searched PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library for relevant randomized controlled trials from December 2022 to February 2023. Studies on the efficacy and safety of ASM monotherapies or adjunctive therapies for IGEs and related entities-including juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, childhood absence epilepsy (CAE), juvenile absence epilepsy, or generalized tonic-clonic seizures alone (GTCA)-were included. Efficacy outcomes were the proportions of patients remaining seizure free for 1, 3, 6, and 12 months; safety outcomes were the proportions of any treatment-emergent adverse event (TEAE) and TEAEs leading to discontinuation. Network meta-analyses were performed in a random-effects model to obtain odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals. Rankings of ASMs were based on the surface under the cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA). This study is registered with PROSPERO (No. CRD42022372358). RESULTS Twenty-eight randomized controlled trials containing 4282 patients were included. As monotherapies, all ASMs were more effective than placebo, and valproate and ethosuximide were significantly better than lamotrigine. According to the SUCRA for efficacy, ethosuximide ranked first for CAE, whereas valproate ranked first for other types of IGEs. As adjunctive therapies, topiramate ranked best for GTCA as well as overall for IGEs, while levetiracetam ranked best for myoclonic seizures. For safety, perampanel ranked best (measured by any TEAE). CONCLUSIONS All of the studied ASMs were more effective than placebo. Valproate monotherapy ranked best overall for IGEs, whereas ethosuximide ranked best for CAE. Adjunctive topiramate and levetiracetam were most effective for GTCA and myoclonic seizures, respectively. Furthermore, perampanel had the best tolerability.

Abstract
Field experiments were conducted to evaluate the roles of two corn borers, Asian corn borer (ACB), Ostrinia furnacalis and yellow peach moth (YPM), Conogethes punctiferalis, in Fusarium verticillioides infection using green fluorescent protein (GFP) as a marker. Effects of insect injury, manual injury, and insecticide application on fumonisin production also were assessed. In this study, third instars of ACB and YPM significantly increased GFP-tagged F. verticillioides infection compared with the control, regardless of the fungal inoculation method. Besides acquiring F. verticillioides spores from leaf surfaces and transmitting them to ears, larvae of the ACB and YPM also injure maize ears, which allows F. verticillioides from leaves or silk to infect ears more easily. This suggests that ACB and YPM larvae are vectors of F. verticillioides, which can increase the occurrence of ear rot. Manual injuries significantly increased GFP-tagged F. verticillioides infection of ears, while effective insect control significantly reduced F. verticillioides infection of ears. Insecticide control of borers also significantly reduced fumonisin content in kernels. Larval infestations significantly increased fumonisins in kernels to levels higher than or very close to the European Union threshold (4,000 μg kg-1). Significant and high correlations among corn borer attack, F. verticillioides severity, and kernel fumonisin levels were discovered, confirming the important role of ACB and YPM activity in F. verticillioides infection and kernel fumonisin production.

Abstract
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE(S) Malnutrition which occurs in 90% patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT). It may lead to inferior efficacy of antitumor treatment, increasing the adverse effects and reducing the quality of life. Several studies reported that hospital to home (H2H) standardized nutritional support management mode improved the nutritional status of patients with HNC during CCRT. However, these published studies were limited by retrospective data and small sample size. This randomized controlled study aimed to explore the improving nutritional status efficacy of H2H whole-course standardized nutritional support management mode in patients with HNC receiving CCRT. MATERIALS/METHODS From March 2021 to September 2021, patients with HNC receiving CCRT were randomly assigned into H2H nutrition management group (H2H group) and Routine nutritional management group (RTM group) in a 1:1 ratio. For H2H group, patients not only received individual nutritional management which was formulated by doctors, nutritionists and nutrition nurses from the hospital to the family at least once a week, but also received education of nutrition from network platforms. For RTM group, doctors and nurses made nutrition therapy according to nutritional status of patients. The primary endpoints of this study were nutritional status including weight, BMI, albumin, and hemoglobin. This study has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University (Ethics Committee Approval Number: KY20222067-F-1). RESULTS A total of 60 patients were enrolled in this study. Patient characteristics were well balanced in both arms. Compared with RTM group, patients in H2H group had better nutritional status as below: body weight (62.33±4.37) vs (60.14±4.56) kg, P = 0.037; BMI (21.84±3.01) vs (19.70±2.95) kg/m2, P = 0.033; Alb (39.25±2.17) vs (37.02±2.69) g/L, P = 0.031; Hb (132.7±9.03) vs (125.3±9.28) g/L, P = 0.039. The incidence of grade 3-4 oral mucositis in H2H group was less than RTM group (26% vs. 70%, P = 0.038). The score of quality of life was higher in H2H group compared RTM group (85.60±3.40 vs. 73.48±3.61, P = 0.000). The rate of nursing satisfaction in H2H group was higher than RTM group. Pre- and post-intervention satisfaction was 73.33% and 96.67%, respectively (p = 0.011). CONCLUSION H2H standardized nutritional support management model improve nutritional status, quality of life and rate of nursing satisfaction in patients with HNC receiving CCRT.

Abstract
PURPOSE This study aimed at analyzing and comparing the perioperative results and long-term oncological outcomes of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) treated with laparoscopic (LLR) versus open liver resection (OLR). METHODS Clinicopathological data of HCC patients with T2DM who underwent LLR or OLR as initial treatment from four medical centers were retrospectively reviewed. The survival outcomes of patients who underwent laparoscopic liver resection (LLR) were compared with those of patients who underwent open liver resection (OLR). Using the Kaplan-Meier method, survival curves for the two groups of patients were generated, and the log-rank test was used to compare survival differences. Propensity score matching (PSM) analysis was used to match patients of the LLR and OLR groups in a 1:1 ratio. RESULTS 230 HCC patients with T2DM were enrolled, including 101 patients in the LLR group and 129 patients in the OLR group. After PSM, 90 patients were matched in each of the study group. Compared with the OLR group, the LLR group had less blood loss, a shorter hospitalization and fewer postoperative complications. The LLR group had a significantly better overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) than the OLR group before and after PSM. Subgroup analysis demonstrated that HCC patients with T2DM had survival benefits from LLR regardless of the course of T2DM. CONCLUSIONS Laparoscopic liver resection for HCC patients with T2DM can be safely performed with favorable perioperative and long-term oncological outcomes at high-volume liver cancer centers, regardless of the course of T2DM.

Abstract
The increasing number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections have highlighted the long-term consequences of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection called long COVID. Although the concept and definition of long COVID are described differently across countries and institutions, there is general agreement that it affects multiple systems, including the immune, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, neuropsychological, musculoskeletal, and other systems. This review aims to provide a synthesis of published epidemiology, symptoms, and risk factors of long COVID. We also summarize potential pathophysiological mechanisms and biomarkers for precise prevention, early diagnosis, and accurate treatment of long COVID. Furthermore, we suggest evidence-based guidelines for the comprehensive evaluation and management of long COVID, involving treatment, health systems, health finance, public attitudes, and international cooperation, which is proposed to improve the treatment strategies, preventive measures, and public health policy making of long COVID.

Abstract
The majority of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage. Currently, there are only a few therapeutic methods available for patients with advanced HCC and extrahepatic metastasis (EHM). Systemic chemotherapy, such as FOLFOX4 (infusions of fluorouracil, leucovorin, and oxaliplatin), has been reported for treating advanced HCC with EHM, but its effectiveness is very poor. In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, we aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of FOLFOX4 with all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA) as a palliative treatment for HCC patients with EHM, compared to FOLFOX4 with a placebo. The primary endpoint was overall survival (OS), and subsequently, an exploratory model was developed based on bioinformatics to predict the efficacy of FOLFOX4-ATRA treatment. A total of 108 patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either FOLFOX4-ATRA or FOLFOX4-placebo. The intention-to-treat (ITT) population showed a median OS of 16.2 months for the FOLFOX4-ATRA group, compared with 10.7 months for the FOLFOX4-placebo group (HR 0.56, 95% CI 0.33-0.93; p = 0.025). The median progression-free survival (PFS) was 7.1 months for the FOLFOX4-ATRA group and 4.2 months for the FOLFOX4-placebo group (HR 0.62, 95% CI 0.41-0.94; p = 0.024). A panel of proteins with unique upregulation during complete response (CR) (SOD3, TTR, SSC5D, GP5, IGKV1D-33) and partial response (PR) (TGFB1, GSS, IGHV5-10-1) effectively predicted CR and PR in patients treated with FOLFOX4-ATRA, as compared to FOLFOX4-placebo. The results suggest that FOLFOX4-ATRA is a safe and effective treatment for patients with advanced HCC and EHM in eastern China.

Abstract
Crush syndrome (CS), also known as traumatic rhabdomyolysis, is a syndrome with a wide clinical spectrum; it is caused by external compression, which often occurs in earthquakes, wars, and traffic accidents, especially in large-scale disasters. Crush syndrome is the second leading cause of death after direct trauma in earthquakes. A series of clinical complications caused by crush syndrome, including hyperkalemia, myoglobinuria, and, in particular, acute kidney injury (AKI), is the main cause of death in crush syndrome. The early diagnosis of crush syndrome, the correct evaluation of its severity, and accurate predictions of a poor prognosis can provide personalized suggestions for rescuers to carry out early treatments and reduce mortality. This review summarizes various methods for the diagnostic and predictive evaluation of crush syndrome, including urine dipstick tests for a large number of victims, traditional and emerging biomarkers, imaging-assisted diagnostic methods, and developed evaluation models, with the aim of providing materials for scholars in this research field.

Abstract
For centuries, Flos Trollii has been consumed as functional tea and a folk medicine in China's north and northwest zones. The quality of Flos Trollii highly depends on the producing zones. Unfortunately, few studies have been reported on the geographical discrimination of Flos Trollii. This work comprehensively investigated Flos Trollii compounds with an integration strategy combining gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC-HRMS) with chemometrics to explore the differences between Flos Trollii obtained from various origins of China. About 71 volatile and 22 involatile markers were identified with GC-MS and UHPLC-HRMS, respectively. Geographical discrimination models were synthetically investigated based on the identified markers. The results indicated that the UHPLC-HRMS coupled with the fisher discrimination model provided the best prediction capability (>97%). This study provides a new solution for Flos Trollii discrimination.

This article analyzes the diagnosis of a case of occupational explosive hearing loss caused by non explosion, in order to improve the flexible application of diagnostic standards by occupational disease diagnosis physicians.

Abstract
We report the first measurement of flux-integrated double-differential quasielasticlike neutrino-argon cross sections, which have been made using the Booster Neutrino Beam and the MicroBooNE detector at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The data are presented as a function of kinematic imbalance variables which are sensitive to nuclear ground-state distributions and hadronic reinteraction processes. We find that the measured cross sections in different phase-space regions are sensitive to different nuclear effects. Therefore, they enable the impact of specific nuclear effects on the neutrino-nucleus interaction to be isolated more completely than was possible using previous single-differential cross section measurements. Our results provide precision data to help test and improve neutrino-nucleus interaction models. They further support ongoing neutrino-oscillation studies by establishing phase-space regions where precise reaction modeling has already been achieved.

Abstract
The oxygen evolution reactions in acid play an important role in multiple energy storage devices. The practical promising Ru-Ir based catalysts need both the stable high oxidation state of the Ru centers and the high stability of these Ru species. Here, we report stable and oxidative charged Ru in two-dimensional ruthenium-iridium oxide enhances the activity. The Ru0.5Ir0.5O2 catalyst shows high activity in acid with a low overpotential of 151 mV at 10 mA cm-2, a high turnover frequency of 6.84 s-1 at 1.44 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode and good stability (618.3 h operation). Ru0.5Ir0.5O2 catalysts can form more Ru active sites with high oxidation states at lower applied voltages after Ir incorporation, which is confirmed by the pulse voltage induced current method. Also, The X-ray absorption spectroscopy data shows that the Ru-O-Ir local structure in two-dimensional Ru0.5Ir0.5O2 solid solution improved the stability of these Ru centers.

Abstract
Psychiatric disorders are now responsible for the largest proportion of the global burden of disease, and even more challenges have been seen during the COVID-19 pandemic. Artificial intelligence (AI) is commonly used to facilitate the early detection of disease, understand disease progression, and discover new treatments in the fields of both physical and mental health. The present review provides a broad overview of AI methodology and its applications in data acquisition and processing, feature extraction and characterization, psychiatric disorder classification, potential biomarker detection, real-time monitoring, and interventions in psychiatric disorders. We also comprehensively summarize AI applications with regard to the early warning, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of specific psychiatric disorders, including depression, schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, addiction, sleep disorders, and Alzheimer's disease. The advantages and disadvantages of AI in psychiatry are clarified. We foresee a new wave of research opportunities to facilitate and improve AI technology and its long-term implications in psychiatry during and after the COVID-19 era.

Abstract
Benefiting from high energy density (2,600 Wh kg-1) and low cost, lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries are considered promising candidates for advanced energy-storage systems1-4. Despite tremendous efforts in suppressing the long-standing shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides5-7, understanding of the interfacial reactions of lithium polysulfides at the nanoscale remains elusive. This is mainly because of the limitations of in situ characterization tools in tracing the liquid-solid conversion of unstable lithium polysulfides at high temporal-spatial resolution8-10. There is an urgent need to understand the coupled phenomena inside Li-S batteries, specifically, the dynamic distribution, aggregation, deposition and dissolution of lithium polysulfides. Here, by using in situ liquid-cell electrochemical transmission electron microscopy, we directly visualized the transformation of lithium polysulfides over electrode surfaces at the atomic scale. Notably, an unexpected gathering-induced collective charge transfer of lithium polysulfides was captured on the nanocluster active-centre-immobilized surface. It further induced an instantaneous deposition of nonequilibrium Li2S nanocrystals from the dense liquid phase of lithium polysulfides. Without mediation of active centres, the reactions followed a classical single-molecule pathway, lithium polysulfides transforming into Li2S2 and Li2S step by step. Molecular dynamics simulations indicated that the long-range electrostatic interaction between active centres and lithium polysulfides promoted the formation of a dense phase consisting of Li+ and Sn2- (2 < n ≤ 6), and the collective charge transfer in the dense phase was further verified by ab initio molecular dynamics simulations. The collective interfacial reaction pathway unveils a new transformation mechanism and deepens the fundamental understanding of Li-S batteries.

Abstract
Purpose To describe the genetic landscape of BEST1 for a large Chinese cohort with autosomal recessive bestrophinopathy (ARB), identify the missing heritability, and report a common Chinese founder variant. Methods We recruited 65 patients from 63 families with a clinical diagnosis of ARB. All patients underwent ophthalmic examinations and comprehensive genetic analyses, including Sanger DNA sequencing of BEST1 and whole genome sequencing (WGS). The effects of deep intronic variants (DIVs) on splicing were assessed using in vitro splicing assays in HEK293T cells and patient-derived peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Haplotype mapping was performed for 17 unrelated patients harboring variant c.867+97G>A. Results We identified 54 distinct disease-causing variants of BEST1 in 63 pedigrees, 62 probands with biallelic variants, and one family with monoallelic variants. Sanger DNA sequencing of BEST1 initially detected 51 variants in 61 pedigrees, including 19 probands with one heterozygous variant. Subsequent WGS, combined with supplementary Sanger sequencing, revealed three missing DIVs (c.1101-491A>G, c.867+97G>A, and c.867+97G>T) in 20 families. The novel DIV c.1101-491A>G caused an abnormal splicing resulting in a 204-nt pseudoexon (PE) insertion, whereas c.867+97G>A/T relatively strengthened an alternative donor site, resulting in a 203-nt intron retention (IR). The PE and IR generated a premature termination codon downstream. Haplotype analysis identified c.867+97G>A as a common founder variant with an allele frequency of 16%. Conclusions Our results expand the pathogenic variant spectrum of BEST1, and DIVs can explain almost all of the missing heritability. The c.867+97G>A DIV is a common founder variant for Chinese patients with ARB.

Abstract
To understand the clinical characteristics of omicron in COVID-19 Rehabilitation Clinic after the current shift of dynamic zeroing policy, we consecutively collected the patients' data who visited in COVID-19 Rehabilitation Clinic of a Grade-A tertiary hospital in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, from January 3 to January 10, 2023, analyzed related data and then compared the pneumonia between elderly and non-elderly groups. The results showed that 95.68% of the patients in COVID-19 Rehabilitation Clinic had symptoms, 70.10% had a dry cough, 12.36% had abnormal complete blood count or C-reactive protein, 19.35% had electrolyte disorder, and 2% had abnormal troponin or creatine kinase-MB. 40.45% of patients had abnormal lung CT findings, among them 86.49% of elderly patients had abnormal lung CT findings, and the utilization rate of glucocorticoids in COVID-19 Rehabilitation Clinic was only 5.98%, although people are all susceptible to getting the COVID-19 infection, the elderly are more prone to getting pneumonia, and the glucocorticoids utilization rate is relatively insufficient. It is needed to be stressed that Chinese medical staff should pay more attention to the elderly patients who are vulnerable to getting pneumonia during this period.

Abstract
Oceanic oxygen levels are decreasing significantly in response to global climate change; however, the microbial diversity and ecological functional responses to dissolved oxygen (DO) in the open ocean are largely unknown. Here, we present prokaryotic distribution coupled with physical and biogeochemical variables and DO gradients from the surface to near the bottom of a water column along an approximately 12,000-km transect from 13° N to 18° S in the Tropical Pacific Ocean. Nitrate (11.42%), temperature (10.90%), pH (10.91%), silicate (9.34%), phosphate (4.25%), chlorophyll a (3.66%), DO (3.50%), and salinity (3.48%) significantly explained the microbial community variations in the studied area. A distinct microbial community composition broadly corresponding to the water masses formed vertically. Additionally, distinct ecotypes of Thaumarchaeota and Nitrospinae belonging to diverse phylogenetic clades that coincided with specific vertical niches were observed. Moreover, the correlation analysis revealed large-scale natural feedback in which chlorophyll a (organic matter) promoted Thaumarchaeotal biomass at depths that subsequently coupled with Nitrospina, produced and replenished nitrate for phytoplankton productivity at the surface. Low DO also favored Thaumarchaeota growth and fueled nitrate production.
