Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) takes the second place among the reasons for mortality from infectious diseases. For this reason, the problem of tuberculosis treatment requires urgent attention all over the world. Some 2-amino substituted 1,3-benzothiazin-4-ones (2-amino-1,3-BTZs) represent a promising new class of antitubercular agents. Other 1,3-benzothiazin-4-one derivatives, mostly 2-aryl and 2- (pyridin-2-yl) ones, are attractive due to their ability to suppress oxidative stress-induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis. This review covers the synthetic approaches to 2-amino- and 2-aryl(heteryl) substituted 1,3-benzothiazin-4-ones (1,3-BTZs). A brief overview of structure-activity relationships is presented.

Abstract
The reaction of 6-chloro-1-methylpyrazin-2(1 H)-one with Grignard reactants followed by quenching with different electrophiles gave access to a variety of 3,6-difunctionalized 1-methylpyrazin-2(1 H)-ones. This regioselective three-component reaction represents the first example of a tele-nucleophilic substitution of hydrogen (SNH) in which the anionic σH adduct is quenched by electrophiles (other than a proton) before elimination takes place. Quenching the reaction with iodine (I2) or bromine (Br2) provides an alternative reaction pathway, yielding a 3-functionalized 6-chloro-1-methylpyrazin-2(1 H)-one or 5-bromo-6-chloro-1-methylpyrazin-2(1 H)-one, respectively. The halogens present offer opportunities for further selective transformations.

Abstract
The C(sp2)-H bond functionalization methodology was first applied to carry out the palladium-catalyzed oxidative C-H/C-H coupling reactions of 2H-imidazole 1-oxides with pyrroles and thiophenes. As a result, a number of novel 5-heteroarylated 2H-imidazole 1-oxides, which are of particular interest in the design of bioactive molecules and advanced materials, have been synthesized in yields up to 78%. The detailed H/D-exchange experiments have also been performed to elucidate some mechanistic features of this cross-dehydrogenative coupling process.

Abstract
The direct C-H functionalization methodology has first been applied to perform transition metal-free C-H/C-Li cross-couplings of 2H-imidazole 1-oxides with carboranyllithium. This atom- and step-economical approach, based on one-pot reactions of nucleophilic substitution of hydrogen (SN H) in non-aromatic azaheterocycles, affords novel imidazolyl-modified carboranes of two types (N-oxides and their deoxygenative analogues), which are particularly of interest in the design of advanced materials.

Abstract
Background:
Quinazolines, the important group of benzodiazines, are widely known in medicinal
chemistry due to their broad spectrum of biological activities. Notably, extensive research on the synthesis and
application of quinazoline derivatives for electronic devices, luminescent elements, photoelectric conversion
elements, and image sensors has been published recently.
Objective:
This review reports luminescent small molecules and chelate compounds including a quinazoline or
pyrimidine ring in their scaffold highlighting their applications related to photo- and electroluminescence.
Conclusion:
It is clear from the review of the topic that the incorporation of quinazoline and pyrimidine fragments
into π-extended conjugated systems is of great value for the creation of novel optoelectronic materials.
Polyhalogen derivatives represent the major starting materials for polysubstituted fluorescent quinazolines.
Electroluminescent properties of aryl(hetaryl)substituted quinazolines with π-extended conjugated systems
proved to be the most important. Incorporation of benzimidazole, carbazole, triphenylene or triphenylamine
fragments into quinazoline scaffold allows fabricating materials for organic light-emitting diodes, including
white OLEDs and highly efficient red phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes. Moreover,
arylvinylsubstituted quinazolines are of great interest as potential structures for nonlinear optical materials and
for colorimetric pH sensors. Iridium complexes based on 2-aryl(thienyl) quinazoline or pyrimidine derivatives
represent high-efficiency phosphorescent materials for OLEDs. Pyrimidine push-pull systems are of considerable
importance as potential photosensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells. Pyrimidine derivatives bearing
phenylacridine or phenylphenoxazine fragments at the positions 4 and 6 are capable to function as thermally
activated delayed fluorescence emitters.

Abstract
Aim and Objective: The objective of our work was to study the peculiarities of transformations of
fluorine-containing flavone-3-carboxylates with N-nucleophiles, including biogenic amines and amino acids.
Materials and Methods:
6,7,8-Trifluoro and 5,6,7,8-tetrafluoroflavone-3-carboxylates were involved in interactions
with a number of N-nucleophiles, such as pyrrolidine, morpholine, proline, arginine, gammaaminobutyric
acid, beta-alanine, histamine, dopamine and amantadine under different reaction conditions. All
synthesized compounds were characterized by NMR 1H, 19F, (NMR 13C for some compounds) and IR spectroscopic
data, and elemental analysis.
Results:
3-(Ethoxycarbonyl)polyfluoroflavones react with morpholine, pyrrolidine and L-proline to form 7-
monosubstituted flavone-3-carboxylates. For the reactions of tetrafluoroflavone with pyrrolidine and morpholine,
the formation of 5,7-disubstituted products is also possible. Interaction with gamma-aminobutyric acid
leads to the 4-{[3-ethoxy-2-(2-hydroxypolyfluorobenzoyl)-3-oxo-1-phenylprop-1-enyl]amino}butanoic acids
as a result of the pyrone ring opening. In reactions with dopamine, histamine, L-arginine and β-alanine,
polyfluoroflavone-3-carboxylates underwent a chromone-coumarin rearrangement. 3-(Ethoxycarbonyl)tetrafluoroflavone
forms with amantadine the nucleophilic aromatic substitution product, while trifluoro-substituted
analog gives the chromone-coumarin rearrangement product.
Conclusion:
This work showed possibilities of chemical modification of polyfluorinated flavones in the reactions
with amines depending on the structure of the nucleophilic reagent. Synthesized compounds are of interest
for biological testing.

Abstract
This review focuses on the biological action of the compounds from the group of substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazines on stress response and myocardial infarction. The aim of this review is to propose the possible mechanisms of action of 1,3,4-thiadiazines and offer prospectives in the development of new derivatives as therapeutic agents. It is known, that compounds that have biological effects similar to those used as antidepressants can down-regulate the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines, up-regulate the release of anti-inflammatory ones and affect cell recruitment, which allows them to be considered immunomodulators as well. The results of pharmacological evaluation, in silico studies, and in vivo experiments of several compounds from the group of substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazines with antidepressant properties are presented. It is proposed that the cardioprotective effects of substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazines might be explained by the peculiarities of their multi-target action: the ability of the compounds to interact with various types of receptors and transporters of dopaminergic, serotonergic and acetylcholinergic systems and to block the kinase signal pathway PI3K-AKT. The described effects of substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazines suggest that it is necessary to search for a new agents for limiting the peripheral inflammatory/ischemic damage through the entral mechanisms of stress reaction and modifying pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling pathways in the brain.
